About the Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced blockchain developer to join our team building the next generation of high-performance on-chain trading infrastructure. You will help design and implement a unified trading engine — supporting Perpetuals, Spot, and Prediction Markets under a single margin account — and contribute to
ExchangeOS
, an infrastructure layer that lets KYC'd institutions and Web3 entities stake to create and operate their own trading venues (DEXs) on top of our chain.
What You’ll Be Doing
Design and build a unified account and matching system that supports Perpetuals, Spot, and Prediction Markets — including on-chain order matching, cross-margin validation, settlement, and liquidation/risk engines (ADL, ADL-avoidance, ADL waterfall, ecosystem insurance fund mechanics).
Build and optimize the core components of
ExchangeOS
: the staking/venue-creation framework that allows KYC-verified institutions and Web3 protocols to launch and operate their own dex on shared infrastructure.
Drive performance engineering across the stack — parallel transaction execution, low-latency order pipelines, and throughput/latency optimization at the engine and chain level.
Track cutting-edge blockchain and trading-system technology (e.g. Hyperliquid, dYdX, other high-performance perp DEX architectures) and apply best practices to our infrastructure.
Partner with product and business teams to translate venue/exchange requirements into technical designs, and provide ongoing technical support.
What We Look For In You
Strong proficiency in
Rust
, with hands-on experience in high-performance, low-latency systems; experience with parallel/concurrent execution engines is a strong plus.
Deep understanding of exchange/matching engine mechanics: order book design, margin systems, liquidation and ADL, settlement, and risk engines — familiarity with perpetual, spot, or prediction market products is a strong plus.
Solid grounding in blockchain fundamentals (consensus, P2P networking, cryptography); experience reading core code of major L1/L2 systems (Ethereum, Optimism, Arbitrum, or high-performance L1s like Hyperliquid/Solana) is a plus but not the primary focus of this role.
Strong systems-performance mindset: profiling, memory/allocator tuning, and designing for sub-millisecond latency at scale.
Excellent teamwork, communication, and logical reasoning skills; genuine passion for trading systems and blockchain technology.

ABOUT DOCKER
Docker has been one of the most loved brands in developer tooling, trusted by more than 20 million monthly users and over 20 billion container image pulls. From solo founders to the world's largest companies, developers rely on Docker to build, share, and run their applications across our suite of products including Docker Desktop, Docker Hub, and Docker Scout.
We are a globally distributed, remote-first team building the tools that define how software gets built and delivered. As AI agents redefine software development, Docker is at the center of that shift, providing the sandboxed environments, verified images, and secure infrastructure that make autonomous workflows trustworthy by default.
_______________________________________________________________________
The Products Team at Docker is looking for a Principal Product Manager to lead components of Docker Sandboxes. You will own and drive this strategic product area from high-level concept design through delivery, adoption, and operation. You will help shape how developers and AI agents use fast, secure, isolated environments across local and cloud workflows. You will work closely with developers inside and outside of Docker, our customers, and our partners to expand our open ecosystem offering and provide value. As the company and ecosystem grow, you will help foster teams eager to continuously build, measure, and learn.
To thrive in this role, you will need experience working with developers, deep technical fluency in systems and developer infrastructure, and prior experience as a software engineer. You will need to understand containers, sandboxes/microVMs, virtualization technologies, hypervisors, the software development lifecycle, and how untrusted or agent-generated code can be safely executed and orchestrated. You will need a relentless drive to try new things and an eye for detail. Your long-term success will depend on your ability to own the product roadmap, earn the trust of the developer community, and scale reliable services. Most importantly, you will need to be comfortable taking ownership of big objectives with big goals, working with a cross-functional team, and maintaining a bias for action.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- You own Docker Sandboxes, its long-term vision, roadmap, revenue, adoption, and results.
- You believe in and can succinctly articulate our customers, their workflows, and their pain points. You empathize with the world they live in and the security, performance, compatibility, and cost constraints they work through.
- You will engage deeply with developers building AI agents, coding environments, CI and testing systems, and other workloads that require secure, isolated execution, finding solutions for today while optimizing for tomorrow's vision.
- You enjoy building infrastructure products that are easy to adopt and use. You will turn complex tradeoffs across isolation, startup time, performance, density, networking, storage, and cost into simple product experiences.
- You are comfortable with ambiguity and will guide product definition, feature prioritization, and scope in concert with engineering, design, security, operations, and go-to-market teams.
- You are a fan of iterative development, working with customers and cross-functional teams to hypothesize, measure adoption and impact, learn from releases, and continually improve the roadmap.
QUALIFICATIONS
- You have deep empathy for the needs of developers and are obsessed with talking to your users.
- You have prior professional experience as a software engineer, ideally in systems, infrastructure, platform engineering, developer tools, or cloud.
- You have strong technical familiarity with sandboxes/microVMs, containers, virtualization technologies, and hypervisors, including the isolation and security boundaries each provides.
- You understand the building blocks of modern developer infrastructure, including Linux, container runtimes, orchestration, networking, storage, APIs, and cloud services.
- You have experience designing, building, or operating systems that execute customer-provided, untrusted, or agent-generated code at scale.
- You are comfortable interacting with a command-line interface and discussing APIs, SDKs, and technical architecture with engineers and developers.
- You have experience building B2B or SaaS products, or a background in public cloud and developer infrastructure.
- You understand software supply chain and software security concerns, including multi-tenant isolation, identity, secrets management, observability, and reliability.
- You can break down complex technical problems into small, releasable, user-valuable features.
- You can explain complex ideas simply and communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and visually across diverse stakeholders.
- You can analyze qualitative and quantitative data to inform decisions, define success metrics, and prioritize investments.
- You have a collaborative approach, experience running products from greenfield to scale, and the ability to work with fast-moving, distributed, cross-functional teams. You are a doer as well as a strategist; we are small and need all hands on deck.
WHAT TO EXPECT
FIRST 30 DAYS
- Get to know Docker: our vision, mission, and values.
- Understand the Docker Sandboxes team's mission, product strategy, and technical architecture.

- Run tabletop exercises and simulations to test readiness and find gaps.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience leading or serving as technical lead on security incidents in a cloud or SaaS environment.
- Strong hands-on investigation skills with SIEM, cloud audit logs, and log-based analysis. Comfortable working through large datasets under time pressure.
- Proficiency writing production-quality scripts or tools in Python, Go, or Bash for investigation and automation.
- Solid knowledge of cloud architecture and security, especially Google Cloud Platform (IAM, audit logging, GKE, networking).
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes and containers, including how to investigate and contain compromised workloads.
- Understanding of identity systems, SaaS architectures, and common cloud attack paths (credential theft, privilege escalation, supply chain, token abuse).
- Familiarity with software engineering fundamentals, CI/CD pipelines, and package ecosystems, so you can work effectively with Engineering on code-level fixes.
- Understanding of IR frameworks and lifecycle (for example NIST 800-61), plus the vulnerability lifecycle and exploitability analysis.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience building or operating SOAR or other response automation platforms.
- Digital forensics experience with cloud, Linux hosts, or containers.
- Experience with threat intelligence, threat hunting, or security research.

- Familiarity with detection-as-code practices and writing detection rules.
- Experience in fast-paced, cloud-native, or AI/ML-driven environments.
- Relevant certifications (such as GCIH, GCFA, GCFR), or equivalent hands-on experience.
WHAT WE VALUE
- Curiosity & initiative: Strong desire to understand attacker behaviors, emerging threats, and how they apply to real-world systems.
- Speed & analytical rigor: Ability to quickly assess high-risk vulnerabilities with clear, evidence-based reasoning.
- Collaboration: Comfort working across cross-functional teams spanning Security, SRE, Engineering, and Infrastructure.
- Clear communication: Ability to explain findings, risks, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders at all levels.
- Ownership mindset: Takes initiative to drive investigations, improvements, and remediations to completion.
- Continuous learning: Passion for staying up to date on new vulnerabilities, exploit trends, and cloud-native security best practices.

From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Core team behind dbt V2, dbt’s next-generation engine. This is a backfill role for an engineering leader who can combine strong software-engineering judgment with people leadership, product partnership, and the ability to navigate a highly cross-functional technical area.
The Core team is responsible for building, maintaining, and evolving the Rust-based engine that powers dbt Fusion. The team primarily works on the dbt V2 runtime itself, SQL language features powered by Static Analysis, and new ELT primitives.

The role sits at the center of several parts of the dbt product: the engine and orchestration, the IDE and developer experience, adapters and data warehouses, and our new compute offering, LakeCompute. You’ll help the team make sound technical and product decisions while keeping a stable GA product moving forward.
About the Team
The Core team is part of a broader organization that includes adapters, growth, the VS Code extension, compute, and other closely connected teams. It partners frequently with Product and with the teams responsible for orchestration, IDE experiences, adapters, and LakeCompute.
In this role, you can expect to:
Lead, coach, and develop a fluid team of approximately 8 engineers working on a critical part of the dbt product.
Establish clarity across a technically demanding roadmap with multiple product and engineering stakeholders.
Partner closely with Product to translate ambiguous requirements into realistic engineering scope, sequencing, and estimates.
Help the team balance new feature development, engine maintenance, framework modernization, documentation, and the stability of a GA product.
Guide end-to-end technical design across the engine and its integration points with orchestration, the IDE, adapters, warehouses, and late compute.
Support engineers in making sound tradeoffs across product value, technical quality, performance, compatibility, and delivery risk.
Actively contribute to technical design and implementation alongside the team.
Work with peer engineering leaders to coordinate initiatives that span multiple teams and systems.
Build an environment where engineers can do high-quality work, grow their scope, and take ownership of meaningful technical problems.
Help shape the next phase of dbt Fusion as a language-aware transformation engine used by the broader data community.
Mandatory skills
Experience leading teams through multiple concurrent priorities and diverse integration points.
Strong software-engineering fundamentals and prior experience as a senior/staff engineer, technical lead, or equivalent hands-on technical leader.
Ability to lead or facilitate system design from problem definition through implementation and delivery.
Ability to translate complex or ambiguous product requirements into credible engineering estimates, milestones, and tradeoffs.
Demonstrated judgment in balancing roadmap delivery with reliability, maintainability, technical debt, and product quality.
A hands-on technical orientation, including a willingness and ability to stay close to code and engineering details.
You are a good fit if you have:
Led a software team through the full development lifecycle: discovery, design, implementation, testing, release, operation, and iteration.
Worked on products with substantial technical complexity, integration surfaces, or platform dependencies.
Successfully partnered with Product and other engineering teams to create a stable roadmap and make difficult prioritization decisions.
Experience in data transformation, orchestration, query engines, databases, developer tools, compilers, language tooling, or a closely related area. Direct dbt experience is helpful but not required.
The ability to explain complex technical systems clearly to engineers, product partners, and candidates with different levels of technical depth.
A track record of developing strong engineers while maintaining a high technical bar.
Comfort operating in a fluid environment where team boundaries, priorities, and scope may evolve.
You’ll have an edge if you have:
Experience with Rust or another systems programming language, compilers, query planning, language servers, IDE tooling, or developer platforms.
Experience building or operating data transformation, orchestration, warehouse, or execution systems.
Contributions to open-source projects or experience working with open standards and open technical communities.
Familiarity with ecosystems such as Apache Arrow, Apache Iceberg, DuckDB, ADBC, or related data and execution technologies.
Experience with SQL semantics, query optimization, transpilation across dialects, data lineage, governance, or developer-facing language features.
Experience working in a remote-first or distributed organization with strong written communication practices.
Startup or scale-up experience and comfort wearing multiple hats while the organization evolves.
