Company Description
We’re http://checkout.comCheckout.com http://Checkout.com. You might not know our name, but companies like eBay, Spotify, Klarna, Uber, and Sony do, because we’re behind many of the digital experiences you use every day.
We are where the world checks out, enabling over 10 billion transactions yearly for more than one billion global shoppers.
Whether you want to book a holiday, order food, renew a subscription, or check out online, there’s a good chance our tech powers the payments behind the scenes. Our platform helps the most ambitious businesses deliver effortless digital experiences, at scale.
If you want to do career-defining work, you’ve come to the right place. We move fast, think globally, and believe great teams are built by hiring exceptional people with conviction, curiosity, and the desire to make an impact.
With 20 offices across six continents and London as our HQ, we’re shaping the future of fintech – and we’re just getting started.
The Role
Every payment we process runs on infrastructure we built. At Checkout.com http://Checkout.com, the Cloud Platform team owns the cloud foundations that global payments depend on: a large multi-account AWS estate, a growing Azure platform, and the networking and connectivity that reaches card schemes and banks worldwide. We are genuinely multi-cloud, and we are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer who is too - a strong generalist who treats infrastructure as a software problem and can deliver from week one.
This is a hands-on senior role in an established, fast-moving team. Everything we run is defined in code, deployed through pipelines, and reviewed like software. You will bring deep cloud expertise across AWS and Azure and pair it with a genuine software engineering mindset: you write Terraform modules others build on, you automate away toil rather than documenting it, and you treat the platform as a product with users, SLOs, and a roadmap.
As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you are responsible for the technical delivery of your team's services. You will work closely with your Engineering Manager to shape direction, manage dependencies across pillars, and ensure our platform meets the standards a regulated payments business demands.
What we are looking for:
Deep AWS expertise: Advanced, hands-on experience designing and operating production infrastructure in AWS at enterprise scale: multi-account architectures (Control Tower, Organizations, SCPs), IAM, KMS, and the core compute, storage, and security services that a large regulated estate runs on. You should have a proven track record of delivering resilient, multi-region architectures.
Azure experience: Real production experience with Azure alongside AWS: landing zones, VNet architectures, Entra ID, and the Azure resource and governance model. You understand where the two clouds differ and can design well for both rather than forcing one cloud's patterns onto the other.
Software engineering mindset: You treat infrastructure as software. Expert-level Terraform: reusable modules, secure state management, and disciplined code review. You are comfortable in a Git-based workflow with CI/CD (we use Spacelift), and you reach for Python or similar to automate what others would handle with a runbook. No ClickOps.
Strong cloud networking: Confident designing and debugging in a complex network estate: VPC and VNet design, hub-and-spoke and Transit Gateway or Cloud WAN architectures, DNS, private connectivity (PrivateLink, Private Link), and enough routing knowledge to own connectivity issues end to end rather than escalate them.
Kubernetes: Solid experience running containerised workloads in production, ideally on EKS/AKS: cluster lifecycle, workload deployment patterns, and the operational realities of keeping Kubernetes healthy at scale.
Security and compliance awareness: Experience operating in regulated environments. You understand why change control, least privilege, and auditability matter, and you design controls in rather than bolting them on. Familiarity with PCI DSS is a strong plus.
Engineering excellence: A focus on observability and measurement: you instrument what you build and answer operational questions with data rather than opinion.
Leadership and mentorship: A natural ability to guide and mentor peers, translate ambiguous problem definitions into actionable technical plans, and raise the bar through your code and your reviews.
Pragmatic problem solver: You understand when to move fast (creating tech debt) and when to move right (paying it off). You are a cornerstone in incident resolution and root-cause analysis.
Experience: 5+ years in cloud engineering roles with significant AWS depth. We need someone who can hit the ground running: comfortable joining a complex, established estate and delivering meaningful work in their first weeks, not their first quarter. A degree in Computer Science or a related field is useful but not required; we care about what you can build.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Lead Design & Delivery: Take ownership of large-scale platform projects end to end, from architecture through Terraform to production, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and cost-optimised.
Build the paved road: Design the platform primitives that every product team at Checkout.com http://Checkout.com builds on, so that the secure path is also the easy path.
Architectural Influence: Work with Engineering Managers and architects to refine requirements and shape the technical direction of the platform, documenting significant decisions as ADRs.
Operational SME: Act as the Subject Matter Expert for numerous team-owned services, providing advanced operational support and ensuring high availability for our global payment systems.
Evangelise Best Practices: Produce exemplary code and documentation that inspires others. You will be responsible for spreading best practices and standards across your group.
Manage Dependencies: Navigate the organisation to manage technical dependencies inside and outside your pillar, optimising for both delivery speed and business outcomes.
Foster Culture: Embody Checkout Operating Principles, using them to shape the group’s culture and acting as an example of efficiency and professional excellence.
AI Integration: Proactively explore and implement AI-driven automation to enhance infrastructure efficiency and team productivity.

About Your Team
At Eneba, we’re building a global gaming ecosystem, with our marketplace at its core. As we grow, we have an opportunity to make Eneba a stronger, more recognisable choice for gamers - through campaigns that earn attention, build trust and give people a reason to buy and return.
We’re looking for an experienced marketing leader to own that connection across PR, lifecycle marketing and on-site campaigns. You’ll lead specialists who know their channels, bring a clear creative direction and work with teams across the business to turn ambitious ideas into campaigns with measurable impact.
There’s a strong foundation to build on and room to shape what comes next. You’ll have ownership of the strategy while staying close to the work: developing concepts, challenging creative decisions and using customer insights to choose where to invest. We’re looking for someone who has delivered through a team and still enjoys getting into the details that make a campaign work.
Responsibilities
- Own the strategy across PR, lifecycle marketing and on-site campaigns, setting clear priorities that connect brand trust, customer engagement and revenue growth.
- Create and lead ambitious campaigns, bringing original concepts and turning them into experiences that work across channels, from first impression to purchase.
- Build the business case for your ideas, defining the audience, expected impact, budget, resources and measures of success.
- Find growth opportunities in customer behaviour, using funnel data and audience insights to improve conversion, encourage repeat purchases and bring customers back.
- Stay hands-on with the creative work, shaping briefs, sharpening messages and challenging copy and visuals to make every campaign stronger.
- Build and lead a high-performing team, challenging senior specialists to raise the bar and take their channels further, while developing junior talent into confident, independent owners of their work.
- Bring teams together around a shared campaign direction, aligning plans with Product, Performance Marketing, Influencers, Partnerships and other key teams.
- Turn company insights and product developments into compelling stories, working with PR specialists to earn relevant coverage and strengthen Eneba’s reputation.
- Build AI into how the team works, improving research, creative development and testing while maintaining a high standard for published work.
- Balance bigger creative bets with ongoing experiments, using results to decide what to scale, improve or stop.
Requirements
- A track record of turning original ideas into successful campaigns, with clear examples of concepts you developed, decisions you owned and business results you delivered - backed by data, a clear case for investment and forecasts you measured actual performance against.
- Experience building and leading marketing teams, challenging senior specialists, developing junior talent and holding people accountable for results.
- Strong creative and commercial judgement, with the ability to recognise a promising idea, make the case for investment and decide what to prioritise.
- A hands on approach to leadership, staying close enough to the work to sharpen a concept, improve a brief or investigate why a campaign underperformed.
- Experience connecting multiple marketing channels around a shared campaign, audience and business goal.
- Confidence working with customer insights and performance data, using customer journeys, segmentation and experiments to improve conversion and repeat purchases.
- A solid understanding of CRM and lifecycle marketing and how they contribute to customer engagement, retention and revenue.
- An understanding of PR and earned media, and how to work with specialists to build trust and tell stories people care about. Direct PR experience is welcome but not essential.
- Practical experience using AI in marketing workflows, with examples of how it improved research, creative development, testing or team productivity.
- Strong English communication skills, with the ability to give clear feedback, make a convincing case and align people across teams.
What it’s like to work at Eneba
- Opportunity to join our Employee Stock Options program.
- Opportunity to help scale unique products.
- Various bonus systems: performance based, referral, additional paid leave, personal learning budget.
- Paid volunteering opportunities.
- Work location of your choice: office, remote, opportunity to work and travel.
- Personal and professional growth at an exponential rate supported by well-defined feedback and promotion processes.

About the Team
You will join our global Web3 growth and ecosystem team and support the global growth and ecosystem development of broader Web3 initiatives.
This is a global role working closely with cross-functional teams across multiple markets and regions to identify opportunities.
Responsibilities will be carried out in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
Role Overview
This is a global Web3 growth and ecosystem role, based in Hong Kong and operating across markets. We are looking for a globally minded operations professional who is deeply involved in the on-chain ecosystem, understands diverse on-chain user communities, and can independently plan and execute campaigns across regions.
You will work around X Layer and OKX Wallet to connect ecosystem projects, communities, and users worldwide; bring high-quality applications to real users; and turn campaign participation into sustained on-chain usage and ecosystem growth.
This focuses respectively on public blockchain ecosystem partnerships and operations and global Wallet user growth and campaign operations. Both require strong ecosystem knowledge, cross-market user insight, and end-to-end campaign execution capabilities.
What You’ll Be Doing
Ecosystem Research and Opportunity Identification
: Continuously track leading public blockchains and sectors such as DeFi, on-chain trading, and consumer applications across global markets. Identify projects with product value, an established user base, and growth potential, and develop actionable partnership and operational plans.
Ecosystem Partnerships and Development
: Build and maintain relationships with project teams, communities, and ecosystem partners across regions. Drive globally scalable co-marketing campaigns, application promotion, and user education, while continuously tracking post-launch activity and growth.
Global User Insights and Operations
: Engage deeply with on-chain user communities across markets to understand the motivations, decision-making habits, and barriers faced by different user segments. Establish user segmentation and feedback mechanisms, and optimise the conversion journey from first-time experience to ongoing usage.
Campaign Planning and Execution
: Independently lead global and regional ecosystem co-marketing campaigns, on-chain quests, trading campaigns, community incentive programs, AMAs, and online/offline events. Own target-setting, campaign mechanics, budget planning, resource coordination, launch execution, and post-campaign analysis.
Growth and Data Analysis:
Define metrics around qualified new users, first on-chain interactions, activity, retention, and partner-project growth. Evaluate performance using on-chain and product data, and continuously optimize participation requirements, incentive mechanisms, and operational investment.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with global Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, Data, and regional teams to turn user feedback into product and operational improvements, ensuring a seamless connection between campaigns and the product experience.
What We Look For In You
Experience in Web3 ecosystem operations, user growth, community operations, or campaign operations. Able to provide complete case studies of projects personally led, with verifiable results.
Long-term, hands-on participation in the on-chain ecosystem. Proficient in using wallets, DEXs, cross-chain bridges, and mainstream DApps; understands core concepts such as token approvals, gas fees, slippage, and liquidity; and can independently conduct product-experience and user-journey analysis.
Familiarity with on-chain users and their communities. Understands behavioral differences among trading-focused, DeFi-focused, and task-driven users, and can distinguish short-term, incentive-driven participation from needs that support sustained usage.
Understanding of public blockchain ecosystem-building dynamics, including project onboarding, application distribution, user acquisition, liquidity, and communities. Able to design partnership proposals that create value for both project teams and users.
Proven experience independently planning and executing campaigns. Able to clearly articulate campaign objectives, target audience, mechanics, budget, execution process, and final outcomes, and propose improvements based on post-campaign reviews.
Strong data mindset, with the ability to analyze operational conversion funnels, user retention, and campaign costs. Accountable for genuine user growth and business outcomes.
Strong communication, project-management, and execution skills; able to drive projects in a fast-paced, globally distributed, cross-functional environment. Professional English communication and copywriting skills are required to work effectively with international projects, communities, and internal stakeholders. Additional language capabilities and experience operating across multiple markets are advantageous.
Preferred Global Experience
Deep involvement in on-chain ecosystems such as RWA and Meme, with an understanding of user personas, community culture, asset issuance, and trading mechanics across different sectors. Relevant project operations or growth experience is preferred.
Ongoing attention to and hands-on experience with emerging protocols such as Tapeout. Able to analyze product mechanics, user participation journeys, and growth opportunities, and translate these into concrete partnership or campaign proposals.
Experience in Meme community operations, trend-based campaign planning, or on-chain trading campaigns. Able to manage communication timing and drive community participation and user conversion.
Experience in user education, ecosystem partnerships, or campaign planning for RWA projects. Able to translate complex product mechanisms into clear, easy-to-understand content and participation flows.
An active global network of on-chain users, project teams, trading communities, or content creators, with the ability to independently drive cross-market partnerships and produce verifiable growth results.

About You
You are proactive, reliable, and enjoy helping people solve problems. You are highly organized, eager to learn, and comfortable supporting both technical and non-technical teams. You enjoy being hands-on, can adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment, and are willing to take ownership of day-to-day operational tasks to help keep the office and systems running smoothly.
About the Role
We are looking for a Web3 Licensing and Regulatory Compliance Specialist to support client delivery and develop our Web3 regulatory services. You will work with our InfoSec and Compliance Lead and CertiK specialists across cybersecurity, AML, product, and engineering to turn regulatory requirements into practical plans, application materials, and controls. The role combines client assignments with regulatory research and internal development for crypto-asset service providers, virtual asset service providers, token issuers, and other digital-asset businesses in the European Union, the United Arab Emirates, and other priority jurisdictions.
Responsibilities
Client Delivery
Deliver Web3 regulatory advisory projects, including licensing and authorisation readiness, gap assessments, compliance reviews, and implementation support for CASPs, VASPs, token issuers, and other digital-asset businesses.
Help clients translate regulatory requirements into practical governance, AML and CFT, cybersecurity, technology, and operational controls, drawing on CertiK's wider expertise.
Support application-related work by coordinating key materials, evidence, stakeholders, and responses to regulators, particularly for European Union and United Arab Emirates processes.
Present clear findings and recommendations in reports and workshops, and manage delivery across agreed scope, timelines, and follow-up actions.
Regulatory Research and Internal Product and Service Development
Monitor and analyse Web3 regulation and supervisory expectations across priority jurisdictions, with particular attention to the European Union and the United Arab Emirates.
Turn regulatory research and client experience into reusable methods, templates, control mappings, knowledge materials, and new or updated regulatory service offerings.
Work with CertiK's cybersecurity, AML, product, and engineering teams to develop and improve compliance tools and workflows, including requirements definition, regulatory content, and testing.
Use market developments and client feedback to identify opportunities to improve our tools and services and make delivery more consistent and scalable.
Requirements
Strong match:
Hands-on experience supporting a Web3 licensing or authorisation process for a CASP, VASP, token issuer, or similar digital-asset business. Direct application experience under MiCA, VARA, ADGM FSRA, DFSA, or another European Union or United Arab Emirates regime is especially valuable.
Experience:
Two to four years in digital-asset regulatory compliance, financial-services licensing, legal or compliance operations, consulting, or a related role.
Web3 knowledge:
Practical understanding of blockchain networks, wallets, custody, exchanges, transfers, token issuance, stablecoins, and common digital-asset business models.
Regulatory knowledge:
Working knowledge of governance, operational risk, consumer protection, technology, cybersecurity, and/or AML requirements relevant to digital-asset firms.
Writing and delivery:
Ability to interpret regulation, map obligations to controls, produce clear documentation, and coordinate contributors, evidence, dependencies, and deadlines.
Communication and collaboration:
Professional written and spoken English and the ability to work with clients, subject-matter experts, senior management, and regulators in a distributed team with reliable overlap with CET and CEST business hours.
Additional qualifications:
A relevant legal, compliance, risk, accounting, or information-security qualification or certification, or additional European or Middle Eastern language skills, is an advantage.
What We Offer
Remote work:
Work remotely from Europe or a nearby time zone, with regular overlap with European business hours.
Competitive compensation:
A competitive base salary plus equity or token options where applicable.
Professional growth:
Direct exposure to EU, UAE, and global digital-asset authorisation projects, with support to deepen your Web3 regulatory expertise.
