At GoMining, a General Manager is the end-to-end owner of a business direction, responsible for its strategy, P&L, product, team, and overall results. A GM combines business, product, and operational ownership — setting priorities, managing unit economics, driving execution, and making decisions based on data. The goal is to run the direction as a business and take full responsibility for its growth, profitability, and performance.
We are looking for a General Manager to own Custody & Compliance at GoMining — the business line responsible for how customers move funds into and out of our ecosystem safely, quickly, and reliably.
This is not a traditional compliance role. You will own the entire direction as a business and product — from custody infrastructure and KYC/AML to deposits, withdrawals, Travel Rule, fraud controls, provider relationships, and customer experience.
Your goal is to build a system where compliance protects the company without becoming an unnecessary barrier for legitimate customers.
You will own the strategy, economics, product roadmap, delivery, key metrics, and engineering team behind the direction.
Responsibilities
Business & Product Ownership
Own Custody & Compliance end-to-end, including strategy, roadmap, priorities, budget, and business results.
Define and track the key metrics for deposits, withdrawals, KYC, fraud, and customer activation.
Improve the speed and conversion of customer onboarding and money movement.
Balance risk prevention with customer experience and commercial impact.
Build financial and operational models and make decisions based on measurable business outcomes.
Work directly with C-level stakeholders on strategy and priorities.
Custody & Money Movement
Own custody infrastructure and relationships with custody providers.
Own deposit and withdrawal flows across the GoMining ecosystem.
Improve transaction processing speed, reliability, and success rates.
Identify bottlenecks and continuously improve the customer experience around money movement.
Manage incidents and critical issues related to customer funds.
KYC, AML & Travel Rule
Own the operational implementation of KYC, AML, and Travel Rule requirements.
Build scalable compliance operations, including case management, decision SLAs, escalation processes, and operational workflows.
Ensure compliance controls are effective without unnecessarily reducing conversion.
Continuously analyze false positives and missed fraud cases.
Work closely with Legal and Risk while maintaining ownership of the customer and business outcome.
Fraud & Risk
Develop fraud prevention guardrails across deposits, withdrawals, and customer verification.
Monitor fraud losses and false-positive rates.
Build data-driven approaches to identifying suspicious activity.
Ensure risk controls scale together with transaction volume.
Providers & Partnerships
Own relationships with custody, KYC, AML, and infrastructure providers.
Negotiate commercial and operational terms.
Reduce dependency on individual providers where appropriate.
Drive integrations together with engineering teams.
Hold providers accountable for agreed service levels.
Team & Delivery
Lead a dedicated engineering team and work directly with the Tech Lead.
Own priorities, backlog, releases, and delivery.
Set clear goals and measurable outcomes for the team.
Hire, develop, and make performance decisions when required.
Use AI and automation to keep the team lean and increase execution speed.
Requirements
Strong hands-on experience in crypto custody, payments, KYC/AML, or related financial infrastructure.
Experience owning custody and compliance processes in a crypto exchange, wallet, broker, crypto bank, BaaS, custody platform, or similar environment.
Practical experience with platforms such as Fireblocks, Copper, BitGo, Uphold, or similar.
Strong understanding of KYC, AML, Travel Rule, transaction monitoring, and fraud prevention.
Experience building operational compliance processes at scale.
Experience working directly with external providers and negotiating commercial terms.
Strong product and commercial mindset.
Ability to understand how compliance decisions affect conversion, revenue, and customer experience.
Strong analytical skills and comfort making decisions based on data.
Technical literacy and ability to work directly with engineers.
Experience managing teams and owning delivery.
Experience in crypto or fintech is highly preferred.

NOTE ON ELIGIBILITY: this role is for industry candidates already working in software engineering for the past 1+ years. New grads and current students should NOT apply to this role (instead, visit pplx.ai/newgrads https://pplx.ai/newgrads).
ABOUT THE ROLE
In 2026, we launched Computer, the defining product for the new era of agentic AI. Millions of people now use Perplexity to transform knowledge into action, through Search, Comet, and Computer. Product Engineering owns those experiences end to end, from the interface a user touches to the search and model calls behind it, on top of roughly 200M queries a day and a 200B+ URL index.
This is a full stack role in the truest sense. There are no frontend or backend lanes here, and no one waits for a ticket before starting. It suits people who love to build and want the room to do it. What you have shipped and how quickly you learn tell us far more than years on a resume or where you went to school.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Own a user-facing surface end to end, from the interaction, design, and frontend through the application logic, APIs, data models, and the search or model calls behind them.
- Ship to production continuously. New engineers typically have code in front of users in their first week.
- Build with AI as a primary tool, not a novelty. We expect you to use agents and coding models aggressively to move faster, and to have sound judgment about when their output is wrong.
- Turn ambiguous product ideas into working prototypes, then use real usage data and evals to decide what survives.
- Raise the quality bar on reliability, latency, and craft for the surfaces you own.
- Work directly with designers, PMs, and research engineers, without unnecessary process in between.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
- 1+ years of professional software engineering experience, or a track record of strong internships where you shipped production code at scale.
- Strong in at least one backend language, such as Python or Go, with real experience across services, APIs, and relational data modeling. Comfortable working in React and TypeScript on the frontend.
- Real evidence of building: production work you understand in depth, shipped side projects with actual users, meaningful open-source contributions, hackathon wins, or research you turned into working software.
- Comfort with ambiguity and an instinct to start building incrementally rather than wait for a spec.
- Hands-on experience with AI products, with opinions about their rough edges and what that means for the product you are building.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with our stack: React or Next.js, Python, Go, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, AWS. You will not be expected to know all of it on day one.
- Experience building on top of LLMs: AI orchestration, RAG, evals, agents, tool use.
- Product taste. You can tell a good interface from a bad one and explain how to improve it.
- A public track record we can read, such as GitHub, a technical blog, or a demo we can try.

An overview of this role
As a Senior Developer Advocate at GitLab, you'll help technical audiences understand and use our intelligent orchestration platform where teams and their AI agents ship secure software faster. You'll go deep on the product, especially GitLab Duo Agent Platform and our newer capabilities, and continuously discover real-world workflows that teams care about. You'll turn that hands-on knowledge into demos, blog posts, videos, and presentations, and bring what you learn from customers and the developer community back to GitLab.
This role focuses on showing the product in action and building relationships with customers and the community. You'll help cover events and work across U.S. and Canadian time zones.
What you'll do
Deeply understand GitLab's platform, especially our AI agent capabilities, and continuously find productive, real-world use cases worth showing.
Create product content, including videos, blog posts, presentations, and social clips that show key use cases for GitLab in the user interface and terminal.
Produce video content end to end: script, record, and edit product walkthroughs and demos, and collaborate with GitLab's video team on longer or higher-production pieces.
Deliver product demos and participate in analyst briefings.
Engage with customers through webinars, customer meetings, and other conversations.
Participate in the developer community by engaging on the GitLab forum and Discord, following the conversations happening on social platforms, in newsletters, and at events, and making sure GitLab has a voice in the ones that matter.
Answer technical questions that come through the sales team, and partner with support, sales, and product on developer-facing educational content.
Use hands-on product experience to share feedback with product teams and test new features.
Contribute to technical research and analysis of the developer tools landscape.
Travel requirement up to 20% for events and customer meetings.
What you'll bring
Hands-on technical experience. You understand how software gets built, with a focus on everything that happens after code is written, and can talk about it credibly with engineers.
Understanding of artificial intelligence and its use in software development, from coding all the way to production. You have built and operated agentic systems and infrastructure.
The ability to explain technical products clearly. You can demo a product, record a walkthrough, or speak at a conference without it feeling forced.
Fluency in developer social platforms. You know what's interesting to the people we're trying to reach and can participate in the conversation with credibility.
Curiosity and self-direction. You're already finding the next thing worth talking about, following the right people, and noticing opportunities.
Experience engaging with customers, developers, or technical communities.
Ability to work independently and collaborate across sales, engineering, product, and other teams.
About the team
The Developer Advocacy team creates content that shows GitLab in use, engages with customers and the developer community, and brings hands-on product feedback to GitLab teams. The team also contributes technical research and analysis, while partnering with other groups to share its findings.

BUILDING THE FUTURE OF OPEN FINANCE
Payward - the parent company behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services and CF Benchmarks - has spent the last 15 years building one of the most modern and globally accessible financial infrastructure platforms in the industry, built to advance an open, global financial system.
THE TEAM
Founded in 2011, Kraken is one of the world's longest-standing crypto platforms, trusted by over 10 million individuals and institutions across the globe. It offers spot trading, margin, futures, staking, and OTC services, with products built for both individual investors and institutional clients.
Consumer Trading is a full-stack team behind the Consumer experience in Kraken mobile and web applications. Our flagship product allows our clients to instantly buy, sell, convert any combination of stocks, cryptocurrencies and cash. We are constantly working on extending the product suite with new features and improvements.
THE OPPORTUNITY
- Own the connective tissue between marketing and product at Kraken Consumer — a remit with real scope to shape how millions of people discover and return to our products.
- Build something from the ground up: the roadmap, the intake model and the standards for how marketing and product work together are all yours to define.
- Sit at the centre of the acquisition funnel, where small improvements in conversion compound into meaningful growth.
- Unlock new acquisition channels by building the product surfaces they depend on — paid social, search, affiliates and offline campaigns.
- Shape a fast-growing mobile acquisition motion, including in-product social, creator partnerships, community and friend-referral mechanics.
- Own both halves of the lifecycle: bringing new users in, and giving existing users compelling reasons to come back.
- Work in one of the most competitive corners of consumer fintech, where conversion craft and product quality genuinely decide who wins.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Own the marketing product roadmap end to end, and build the process that turns campaign ideas into shipped product work.
- Design and launch tailored campaign experiences — the in-app and web journeys users land in from push, email, social and paid.
- Raise the bar on lifecycle messaging so push and email feel useful rather than noisy, and convert accordingly.
- Own the incentives layer for new and returning users: offers, referral mechanics, recurring deposits and earn-led campaigns.
- Apply user psychology and sharp UX thinking to find where the funnel leaks, then run the experiments that close the gaps.
- Improve landing page and search performance, and build the product foundations that make paid and offline channels measurable and worth the spend.
- Partner with marketing, design, engineering and data as the single point of ownership for growth enablement.
- Define the acquisition and reactivation metrics that matter, and report on them honestly — including when an experiment doesn't land.
Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution.
We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment on our team, assessing candidates in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.
OUR COMMITMENT
Payward is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate the diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions, and unique perspectives that everyone brings to the table. We hire based on merit, seeking out people with the right abilities, knowledge, and skills for the job. We encourage you to apply for roles where you don't fully meet the listed requirements, especially if you're passionate or knowledgeable about crypto.
We may ask candidates to complete job-related skills or work-style assessments as part of our hiring process. These assessments evaluate competencies relevant to the role and are applied consistently across candidates for similar positions. Results are considered alongside experience and interviews, and are not the sole basis for any employment decision.
