You can demonstrate significant impact in the work that you have done.
You take pride in having strong technical fundamentals; you love learning and are willing to work hard to invest in your development.
Deep knowledge of a high-level programming language (for example, Ruby, Python, Javascript etc.) but it doesn’t need to be a language that we use here!
Strong willingness to fight for good outcomes

You pride yourself in establishing long-term relationships and doing what’s best for the customer. You enjoy telling stories, doing demos, and giving “the pitch,” and are comfortable talking to CMO’s and CTO’s.
Responsibilities:
Drive significant revenue growth by securing new enterprise clients and expanding existing accounts.
Establish and nurture strategic C-level relationships that position VIP as a critical business partner.
Successfully manage both transactional deals and large multimillion-dollar opportunities.
Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline information, and drive strategic improvement of forecasting processes.
Develop and execute innovative, vertical-specific sales strategies that accelerate market penetration.
Actively engage in pipeline generation activities, including regular outbound prospecting.
Enhance the product offering by providing valuable customer insights to inform the VIP roadmap.
Elevate WordPress VIP's brand and reputation in the enterprise CMS space through high-impact engagements.
Contribute to a high-performing sales culture by sharing best practices and mentoring team members.
Requirements:
7+ years of enterprise software sales experience, preferably in SaaS or CMS-related technologies.
Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales quotas.
Strong understanding of enterprise software, IT landscapes, and content management systems.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Proven experience in solutions-based selling and closing enterprise-level deals.
Ability to establish and maintain long-term customer relationships.
Experience in managing and growing business within named accounts and verticals.
Comfortable working with executive-level prospects, negotiating terms, and reviewing contracts.
Self-motivated with a drive to achieve revenue and growth targets, both individually and as part of the company.
This role requires you to have a deep understanding of the technology and platforms that we run, and be able to communicate effectively with different stakeholders such as engineers and content creators. Moderate travel is required as well.

Our platform, Ubuntu, is very widely used in breakthrough enterprise initiatives such as public cloud, data science, AI, engineering innovation and IoT. Our customers include the world's leading public cloud and silicon providers, and industry leaders in many sectors. The company is a pioneer of global distributed collaboration, with 1000+ colleagues in 70+ countries and very few office based roles. Teams meet two to four times yearly in person, in interesting locations around the world, to align on strategy and execution.

We are hiring an
Embedded Linux Field Engineer for Devices/IoT
to expand our reach in mission-critical industries such as Automotive, Medical Devices, Industrial Systems, Robotics, and Telco, as well as Consumer Electronics. We are looking for candidates who are accomplished Linux plumbers. If you are someone passionate about Linux, who knows the plumbing of the OS inside and out, who is proficient with distribution packaging, software design, system debugging, and bringing customer's ideas to life, then please keep on reading - this may be a uniquely exciting opportunity for you.
The server edition of Ubuntu is already very widely used in connected devices and industrial PC's. Our newer edition of Ubuntu for IoT, called Ubuntu Core, represents the state of the art in security and resilience for high end appliances and equipment. This career opportunity requires a unique blend of skills. Successful candidates will know Linux well and be proficient coders and scripters. They also enjoy the pace of change and diversity of client engagements with driven and ambitious technology entrepreneurs. Competitive, business-focused technologists at heart, they are also dedicated team players that take pride in team and company wins.
We often say that our field engineers have 'the hardest job at Canonical' because customers can ask about any aspect of our solutions and products and expect a thoughtful, well-informed answer. We always want to do the best thing for our partners and customers, regardless of our company interests, and field engineers are the people we trust to ensure that is true.
