From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About Us
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data. Together, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on. Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions. As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact. During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.
About the Role
Fivetran and dbt are building the open data infrastructure that powers AI agents you can trust.
Fivetran is looking for a Senior R&D Software Engineer to join our fast-growing Fivetran AI team. Your data stack was built for humans — but agents are the new primary data consumers, and they have fundamentally different requirements. Agents can’t intuit context; it must be explicitly codified, governed, and traceable. We’re building the governed context layer that solves this problem: Agents Schema, an open standard for storing agent-ready context directly in the customer’s own data warehouse, and Context Builder, the managed service that keeps it filled and fresh.
This role goes well beyond standard engineering. You’ll research emerging techniques in the fast-moving AI landscape and bring real product and market understanding to decide which ideas are worth pursuing — and then you’ll take what you’ve learned and ship it as production software. We’re looking for a true generalist who is willing and able to wear whatever hat the moment calls for: prototyping a new retrieval technique one week, hardening a backend service the next, then doing SRE or QA work when the team needs it. Fivetran AI operates like a startup within Fivetran, and we need engineers who thrive on that range rather than staying in one lane.
Fivetran is the epitome of data-driven development — our engineering team is focused on building a world class product that:
Builds Infrastructure Agents Can Trust
— join our mission to deliver the governed context layer that AI agents depend on: accurate semantic definitions, traceable lineage, data contracts, and auditable history baked in from the start.
Embraces Open Standards
— help build portable, interoperable data infrastructure: Agents Schema, open formats (Iceberg, Delta Lake), MCP-native interfaces, and connector skills that work with any model and any compute.
Scales Without Breaking
— work to make Fivetran AI efficient at agent scale, where unit costs deflate as volume grows and context retrieval is fast, accurate, and cost-controlled.
We emphasize using no-nonsense tools and take great pride in the simplicity and effectiveness of the systems we build. Our back-end is built on Java, Python, Postgres, and Kubernetes, and our front-end is built on React and TypeScript.
This is a full-time hybrid position based out of our New York, NY office. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team.
Technologies You’ll Use
Python, Java, SQL, dbt, LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini), vector databases, BigQuery / Snowflake / Databricks, MCP protocol, React, TypeScript, Kubernetes
What You’ll Do
Research emerging techniques in retrieval, reasoning, and agentic AI, and evaluate what’s actually relevant to Fivetran AI’s roadmap
Prototype new ideas quickly, then take the ones that prove out and turn them into shipped, production-grade features
Build and maintain both back-end and front-end systems for the Fivetran AI product — from Agents Schema pipelines to the Context Catalog UI
Contribute to the AISQL capability: natural language to SQL grounded in dbt metric definitions, executed natively against the warehouse
Take ownership of production reliability: on-call rotation, incident response, and SRE work to keep the platform trustworthy at scale
Write and maintain tests, and do hands-on QA to catch issues before customers do
Use coding agents to automate the repetitive parts of the job, freeing up time for the research and design work that needs a human
Partner with product and design, bringing your own understanding of the AI tooling market to shape what gets built next
Develop software designs and contribute to the technical roadmap for the Fivetran AI platform
Contribute to hiring by participating in the interview process
Skills We’re Looking For
5+ years of programming experience across Python and/or Java, with the ability to move fluidly between back-end and front-end work
Considered a trusted expert in your subject area, capable of executing complex, ambiguous tasks with minimal hand-holding
Comfortable reading AI/ML research and turning promising findings into working prototypes
Strong product and market awareness — able to judge which emerging techniques are worth building versus which are hype
Experience with SQL and data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar)
Genuine willingness to work across the full stack: research, backend, frontend, SRE, and QA, as the team’s needs demand
Writes well-structured, performant code and can dive into unfamiliar codebases to suggest improvements
Experience using coding agents or similar AI tooling to speed up day-to-day engineering work
Analytical mindset to identify gaps in existing systems and design practical, pragmatic improvements
Thrives in a startup-like environment with shifting priorities and a high degree of ownership
Bonus Skills
Experience with LLM-powered applications — RAG pipelines, embeddings, evaluation frameworks, or agent frameworks
Familiarity with semantic layers — dbt, LookML, Sigma, or similar
Experience with the MCP (Model Context Protocol) ecosystem or building AI agent integrations
Background in site reliability engineering — monitoring, alerting, incident response
Experience in data processing (ETL, ELT) and/or building data connectors
Experienced working in a cloud environment utilizing AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, or Docker
Contributions to open source AI or data projects

This is a full-time hybrid position based out of our Oakland, CA office.

Our portfolio includes chart-topping games like Mob Control and Block Jam, alongside popular apps such as BeReal and Wizz.
ROLE
You will work directly with Voodoo's CEO as a force multiplier on the company's highest-stakes topics. This is an operating role, not a support role: you own outcomes on strategic projects, incubate new ventures, keep the company's operating rhythm sharp, and lead a small team of Special Project Managers who act as Voodoo's internal consulting force.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Run strategic projects with the CEO — frame the problem, drive the analysis, align leaders, and push to execution on topics spanning M&A, market expansion, monetization, and organization.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the Dashboard product roadmap, with accountability for the developer experience and the growth outcomes it supports.
- Talk to developers and observe how they use the Dashboard alongside APIs, documentation, and the rest of their workflow.
- Build features that help developers get started, complete integrations, discover relevant capabilities, and expand their use of WorkOS.
- Improve onboarding and reduce the time it takes a new developer to get value from the product.
- Identify friction across the customer journey and prioritize opportunities using customer research, product analytics, and business impact.
- Define and track measures of activation, adoption, monetization, expansion, and retention. Use experiments to evaluate changes and decide what to build next.
- Partner with engineering and design to ship clear, useful experiences for technical users.
- Work with Marketing and Sales on product discovery, product-qualified leads, and the path from self-serve adoption to enterprise use.
- Communicate product strategy, priorities, and results clearly across the company.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years of product management experience with ownership of meaningful business outcomes.
- Experience building developer tools, API products, infrastructure products, or technical B2B SaaS. You understand developers and how they use dashboards to work with a technical product.
- A track record of shipping features that improve onboarding, activation, adoption, monetization, expansion, or retention.
- Experience with product-led growth and a clear understanding of how product improvements lead to customer and business outcomes.
- Strong product instincts backed by customer research and data, including experience designing and evaluating experiments.
- Experience with API or usage-based pricing models and how they shape the customer experience.
- The ability to make decisions with incomplete information and move quickly with engineering and design.

The Role
We're looking for a Business Lead — an entrepreneurial owner who will take full responsibility for the company: find and scale a working growth model, own the P&L, drive the product, and lead the team. Own P&L and maintain self-sustainability. Revenue, costs, margin, unit economics.
Set and achieve growth targets. Revenue, acquisition and retention of paying learners.
Drive product and priorities. Roadmap, key bets, monetization experiments.
Build and develop the team. Manage the team day-to-day, set goals, drive performance, and hire as the company grows.
Requirements
Relevant experience — full responsibility for a business end-to-end (P&L, product, team, outcomes), ideally a small company or startup.
Strong financial literacy — P&L, unit economics, forecasting, margin, cost control.
Experience finding and scaling a growth model (growth and/or 0→1).
Data-driven decision-making.
Team management experience (small teams).
Expertise in the market Hyperskill operates in — education, technology, AI.
Fluent English for an international environment.
AI-native approach to daily work.
Strong Plus
Former startup founder / co-founder — you've been through the full cycle, learned from mistakes, and are ready to develop an existing project.
EdTech / educational products experience.
We Offer
Work from Anywhere. Full-time, 100% remote from anywhere in the world.
Flexible schedule with consideration for team syncs.

Are you a tax professional who looks at complex global regulations and sees a puzzle to solve? Do you want to move past repetitive compliance checklists to build a global tax strategy from the ground up, owning your decisions in a place that values substance over corporate protocol?
About JetBrains
We create intelligent software development tools for developers and teams. More than 15 million users, over 300,000 companies, and 88 of the Fortune Global Top 100 rely on our products to solve real, complex problems. Our mission is simple: make development teams more productive and AI adoptable at scale.
What you’ll do
As our product reach grows and international tax laws shift, managing indirect tax requires deep context and real ownership. We are establishing a dedicated global indirect tax function to handle our footprint across multiple office locations and the dozens of countries where we sell products and host events.
In this role, you will act as the core expert shaping our global VAT, GST, US sales tax, and digital services tax strategies. Reporting to the Head of Group Tax, you will take full ownership of designing scalable compliance processes from scratch rather than just maintaining inherited workflows. You will collaborate directly with legal, procurement, marketing, and engineering teams to ensure our systems handle new commercial operations, like e-invoicing and real-time reporting mandates, smoothly. Your judgment will directly influence how JetBrains navigates changing legislation and mitigates financial risks worldwide.
Day to day, you will:
Lead global indirect tax operations, managing VAT, GST, digital services tax, US sales tax, consumption taxes, and customs duties across all global entities.
Design and implement end-to-end tax workflows for digital services, physical goods, employee benefits, and intercompany transactions.
Direct our response to ViDA, focusing on the deployment of electronic invoicing.
Oversee compliance lifecycles, coordinate registrations, and manage external service providers across international jurisdictions.
Evaluate and refine internal indirect tax controls and policies to support business growth.
Advise internal product and operational teams on the tax implications of new commercial initiatives.
Partner with technical teams to automate tax reporting and integrate compliance logic into our ERP systems.
Monitor international tax updates, assessing their impact and leading the necessary system changes.
Manage tax audits and direct communications with local tax authorities.
Train internal stakeholders across departments on indirect tax compliance practices.
What you’ll bring
A problem-solving mindset that turns complex regulatory ambiguity into structured, clear processes.
The autonomy to make decisions and full accountability for the results.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax implications in plain language to non-tax colleagues.
Cultural curiosity when working with cross-functional teams spanning different countries and backgrounds.
A commitment to quality that avoids quick fixes in favor of stable, long-term operational workflows.
What you’ll need
Comprehensive experience in international indirect taxation, blending advisory or consultancy work with in-house operations for an international corporation.
Deep technical command of international VAT frameworks, including EU VAT application rules.
A proven track record of designing tax workflows or adapting business systems to new regional tax legislations.
Experience managing cross-border tax audits and dealing directly with regulatory authorities.
Fluency in written and spoken English.
A practical understanding of tax automation tools and ERP system integrations.
What success looks like
Success means building a resilient global indirect tax function that keeps JetBrains ahead of international regulatory updates without stalling business momentum. You will earn the trust of leadership by translating shifting rules into reliable internal workflows, ensuring our e-invoicing and digital service operations remain compliant and fully integrated. Ultimately, you win when tax risks are minimized, internal stakeholders are unblocked, and our compliance processes scale invisibly alongside our products.
Why join JetBrains?
Strong base salary. We offer competitive pay that reflects your skills and experience.
Flexible work location. Enjoy the freedom to work from home or from the office.
Remote work. Spend up to 30 days per year working remotely from abroad.
Extra time off. More days to relax, recharge, and do the things you love.
Medical insurance allowance. Enjoy peace of mind for you and your family
Learning and development opportunities. Access to conferences, courses, and language classes.
Language classes. Pick up the local language or sharpen your English skills.
