Location: London Workplace: OnSite Company Description We’re http://checkout.comCheckout.com http://Checkout.com. You might not know our name, but companies like eBay, Spotify, Klarna, Uber, and Sony do, because we’re behind many of the digital experiences you use every day. We are where the world checks out, enabling over 10 billion transactions yearly for more than one billion global shoppers. Whether you want to book a holiday, order food, renew a subscription, or check out online, there’s a good chance our tech powers the payments behind the scenes. Our platform helps the most ambitious businesses deliver effortless digital experiences, at scale. If you want to do career-defining work, you’ve come to the right place. We move fast, think globally, and believe great teams are built by hiring exceptional people with conviction, curiosity, and the desire to make an impact. With 20 offices across six continents and London as our HQ, we’re shaping the future of fintech – and we’re just getting started. You'll join the Issuing Operations team in London and own the technical side of card issuing deals from first conversation to go-live. Pre-sale, you're front and centre: positioning our issuing platform, building custom card program flows, live demos, and POCs, and winning over the prospect's engineers, product leads, and payments architects while your Account Executive drives the commercial thread. Once the deal is ready, the weight shifts: our Implementation Engineers lead the build and you stay close, ensuring your issuing card program survives contact with reality. You'll work on a modern, fast-moving platform alongside passionate payments experts across commercial and operations teams. People who do well here are curious by default: they pull threads, teach themselves what the job needs next, and thrive in fast-paced commercial environments where they act before anyone asks. If that's how you work, you'll like it here. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING - Drive Technical Deal Execution: Partner closely with Sales and Account Managers and the broader Issuing Operations team in high-velocity, high-stakes commercial environments to position Checkout.com http://Checkout.com’s card issuing platform, winning complex, multi-product deals. - Architect Card Issuing Solutions: Understand client requirements across card issuing (virtual and physical cards, funding approaches, balance management, interchange economics as examples) and map them to our APIs and operational workflows to create robust solution designs. - Build & Demonstrate: Run live technical demos, create POCs, and customise technical presentations for developer, operational, and executive audiences alike. - Provide Issuing Domain Leadership: Act as an expert on Card Issuing, Program Management, Authorisation & Settlement streams, Network Tokenisation, 3DS, Fraud/Risk Controls, and card program operations. - Lead Client Technical Interactions: Lead all technical discussions, from discovery calls and architecture workshops to operational readiness sessions, from first contact through go-live, collaborating closely with Implementation Engineers. - Support Complex Procurement (RFPs/RFIs): Support the BID management team on technical, operational, security, and card program design queries in RFP and RFI responses. - Voice of the Customer & Operational Feedback: Feed real-world program manager and developer feedback back to Product, Engineering, and Issuing Operations to champion card issuing feature enhancements and process improvements. - Industry & Technical Mastery: Maintain deep expertise on Checkout.com http://Checkout.com’s issuing platform and stay ahead of evolving card scheme rules, issuing infrastructure, and European payment regulations. - Full Lifecycle Technical Ownership: Equally comfortable wearing the hat of a pre-sales Solutions Engineer to win complex deals, and driving post-launch technical support, operational health, and incident resolution in production environments, fully owning the 360-degree client relationship from initial discovery through long-term delivery. ABOUT YOU EXPERIENCE - 5+ years in a high-velocity, client-facing technical role (Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales Consultant, Implementation Engineer, or Technical Account Manager) at a PSP, Card Issuer / Issuer, Processor, Fintech, or Payments company. - Proven track record operating directly in fast-paced commercial environments, managing competing deal priorities, and driving commercial momentum alongside sales and operations teams. - Mandatory UK & EEA Issuing Experience: Hands-on experience designing, launching, or supporting virtual and physical card programs within the UK and EEA regulatory and scheme landscapes. - Issuing Domain Knowledge: Expert understanding of card program mechanics, BIN ranges, issuer processing, and scheme compliance (Visa/Mastercard). - Payment Foundations: Strong grasp of end-to-end payment flows, 3DS, Network Tokenisation, Apple/Google Pay, Strong Customer Authentication (SCA), and fraud engine mechanics. TECHNICAL SKILLS - Coding Ability: You can code and are comfortable with web technologies. Proficiency in at least one front-end (JavaScript, React) or back-end language (Node.js, Python, Java, .NET, Go). - API & Debugging Mastery: Expert in API-based integrations (REST/JSON, Postman, Webhooks); able to build, reproduce, isolate, and explain technical issues using logs, API responses, and test environments. HOW YOU WORK - Exceptional Communicator: Clear written and verbal English; equally at home pitching to CTOs and lead architects as you are detailing unit economics and operational flows to CFOs, Operations leads, and C-level stakeholders. - Commercially Minded: You talk interchange, authorization rates, card program economics, and revenue impact, not just API endpoints, and proactively push opportunities through the sales funnel. - Highly Organised: Thrives under pressure with the ability to prioritise shifting workloads in a fast-moving, deal-driven environment. NICE TO HAVE - Global Issuing Experience: Exposure to launching card programs in global jurisdictions outside the UK/EEA (e.g., US, APAC, LATAM, MENA). - Background: Former software engineering, developer advocacy, or technical product management background. - Languages: Business fluency in an additional European language. Additional Information Bring all of you to work We create the conditions for high performers to thrive, through real ownership, fewer blockers, and work that makes a difference from day one. Here, you’ll move fast, take on meaningful challenges, and be recognized for the impact you deliver. It’s a place where ambition gets met with opportunity, and where your growth is in your hands. We work as one team, and we back each other to succeed. So whatever your background or identity, if you’re ready to grow and make a difference, you’ll be right at home here. It’s important we set you up for success and make our process as accessible as possible. So let us know in your application, or tell your recruiter directly, if you need anything to make your experience or working environment more comfortable. Location: United States Workplace: Remote BUILDING THE FUTURE OF OPEN FINANCE Payward - the parent company behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services and CF Benchmarks - has spent the last 15 years building one of the most modern and globally accessible financial infrastructure platforms in the industry, built to advance an open, global financial system. THE TEAM Founded in 2011, Kraken is one of the world's longest-standing crypto platforms, trusted by over 10 million individuals and institutions across the globe. It offers spot trading, margin, futures, staking, and OTC services, with products built for both individual investors and institutional clients. Kraken’s Consumer Creative & Design team owns end-to-end creative execution for Kraken Consumer and Krak. Our disciplines cover performance ad creative, 2D and 3D design, motion design, AI video creative and web design, turning growth strategy into creative that converts across paid, owned and organic surfaces. We work closely with Product Marketing, Performance Marketing, Content & Social, Lifecycle and our regional leads, holding the line on brand and messaging quality on everything that ships. THE OPPORTUNITY As our Senior Performance Video Creative, you concept, produce and ship paid video for Kraken and Krak. You ideate, generate, edit and ship, and you treat gen AI as a core production method rather than a novelty. You take a project from idea to a finished, approved, multi-market asset set, and you bring a real feel for what people stop on, share and screenshot. You report to the Creative Lead, Consumer Creative & Design, who gives you direction, feedback and cover in reviews. This is a senior individual contributor role with no direct reports. Senior here means craft and speed leadership: you set the bar for paid video on the team, work with AI-enabled processes, collaborate closely with other Krakenites in and outside the team, and are the person others come to with video questions. - Own paid video for Kraken Consumer across product launches, campaigns, promotions and always-on activity. - Build for channels like Meta, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Reddit and X. You know what wins where, and you build to each platform’s specs and native feel. - Concept and cut performance video so campaigns ship as complete cross-format sets. - Produce AI-generated and AI-assisted video, and know when AI is the fastest route to a great ad and when it isn’t. Keep your tooling current as the models change, and build repeatable workflows the rest of the team can reuse. - Bring ideas to briefs rather than executing them literally. Pitch culturally timely, internet-native concepts that nobody asked for, including experimental ones alongside BAU work, and build the winners into creative pillars we can keep using. - Version and localize video at scale across markets, languages, formats and regulatory requirements. In a typical month you’ll have roughly a dozen workstreams in flight at once, most spanning several formats and several markets. - Build creative with testing in mind. Performance Marketing owns test design, cadence and readouts. You own the creative response: reading the results, forming a point of view on why a variant won, and turning that into the next round of hooks, concepts and cuts. - Flex into AI-assisted paid static when a campaign calls for it, working from the team’s brand baselines. - Partner with Product Marketing, compliance and regional teams to get work approved without losing the idea. - Hold a high craft bar on your own work and keep your files clean enough for other people to build on. WHAT YOU BRING - 5+ years in performance video creative at a high-volume in-house team or performance agency, ideally in fintech, crypto, gaming or another regulated category. - A portfolio submitted with your application. Paid video above all, with the brief or objective alongside the work and the result where you’re able to share it. Include two or three full video cuts, at least one AI-generated or AI-assisted piece with a short note on what was tooling and what was you, and one concept you tested where you can talk us through what the data said and what you changed. - Real video skills, from concept to finished, sound-designed cut. - High-level command of gen AI video and image tooling, with shipped work to show for it. - Platform-native instincts across Meta, TikTok and YouTube. You can explain why the same idea needs a different build on each one. - Experience inside a structured creative testing program. You’re fluent in the metrics your creative moves (thumb-stop rate, hook rate, CTR, CVR, CPA and ROAS), you can tell a real winner from low performers, and can translate test results into a creative decision. - Fluency in internet and meme culture, with comedic instincts and a feel for what’s about to feel dated. - Speed without sloppiness. Comfortable with fast turnarounds, several review rounds and late changes. - Comfort working inside regulatory constraints, with work that survives risk warnings, disclaimers and market-specific requirements. - A solid copywriting instinct for scripts and on-screen text. Plain language, value first, no hype and no jargon. Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution. We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment on our team, assessing candidates in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance. OUR COMMITMENT Payward is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate the diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions, and unique perspectives that everyone brings to the table. We hire based on merit, seeking out people with the right abilities, knowledge, and skills for the job. We encourage you to apply for roles where you don't fully meet the listed requirements, especially if you're passionate or knowledgeable about crypto. We may ask candidates to complete job-related skills or work-style assessments as part of our hiring process. These assessments evaluate competencies relevant to the role and are applied consistently across candidates for similar positions. The ultimate goal is to deliver scalable, low-memory, low-latency AI systems on edge devices (i.e., smartphones) that maintain high fidelity and tangible real-world value. Responsibilities Break down the key responsibilities in bullet points. It’s helpful to make them actionable and measurable. This could also be grouped into categories for more complex roles. Apply low-bit quantization to reduce model size and inference latency for generative AI models (LLMs, VLMs, multimodal) while maintaining accuracy and output quality. Leverage knowledge distillation to transfer capabilities from larger teacher models to smaller student models, enabling efficient multimodal reasoning across text, image, and audio inputs. Implement pruning techniques to remove redundant parameters and attention heads, reducing computational overhead without sacrificing task performance. Analyze trade-offs between model efficiency (size, latency, memory) and accuracy across quantization, distillation, and pruning methods; propose improvements based on empirical findings. Research and apply mixed-precision quantization and other advanced compression strategies (e.g., adaptive pruning schedules, distillation with intermediate feature matching) to optimize the accuracy–performance balance. Stay current with the latest research in model compression, including emerging techniques for multimodal and generative architectures. Document methodologies, experiments, and results clearly to support reproducibility, internal collaboration, and stakeholder communication. Author technical papers and publish findings in top-tier conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ACL, AAAI) to advance the field of model compression for multimodal AI. List the qualifications, certifications, and experience needed for the role. You can split this into mandatory and preferred sections if needed. A degree in Computer Science or related field. Ideally PhD in NLP, Machine Learning, or a related field, complemented by a solid track record in AI R&D (with good publications in A* conferences). Experience with PyTorch deep learning frameworks or equivalent frameworks Hands-on experience with model quantization including both Quantization-Aware Training (QAT) and Post-Training Quantization (PTQ). Research and hands-on experience with knowledge distillation for compressing large models into smaller, efficient ones. Research and hands-on experience with model pruning for compressing large models into smaller, efficient ones. Solid understanding of neural network architectures and training processes – Including transformers (e.g., LLMs, VLMs), backpropagation, optimization, and fine-tuning techniques. Familiarity with C++ is a plus (especially for implementing low-level quantization kernels or inference optimizations). In three years, we've grown to 7M+ app downloads, 2M+ monthly active users, 7000+ partner stores, and US$350M+ raised from top-tier investors. Here, you get real ownership from day one, high standards, and direct communication. You'll work alongside a team that combines deep local knowledge and experience scaling regulated financial companies from scratch. If you want to solve complex problems at scale and directly impact how millions of people access and manage money, come build with us. Southeast Asia's fintech moment starts here. About the role Paid acquisition is Salmon's primary growth engine, and we're scaling it fast — you'll own performance marketing end-to-end across our highest-volume channels. What you'll do - Run paid acquisition across Meta, TikTok, Google, and other channels for Salmon products with millions of active users. - Work alongside a dedicated creative production team built to support high-volume testing, plus product, web/SEO, and analytics teams. - Operate in a fast-scaling environment where new channels are constantly tested and budgets grow with performance. What you'll own - Own paid growth end-to-end — decide which channels, creatives, and funnels to scale, and be accountable for the results. - Launch and optimize campaigns directly and through partners across Meta, TikTok, Google, and other channels. - Shape the creative pipeline: generate new concepts and maintain a structured creative backlog. - Build and maintain a structured experiment tracking system so learnings compound across channels. - Collaborate with creative, product, web/SEO, and analytics teams to land campaigns across every growth stream. What makes you a strong fit - 5+ years of hands-on performance marketing experience, ideally in fintech, banking, or digital consumer services. - Proven experience running and optimizing campaigns on Meta as your primary channel, plus at least one other major platform (Google Ads, TikTok Ads, Reddit Ads, or similar). - Experience promoting mobile apps, including web-to-app (W2A) funnels. - A test-and-learn approach to performance: forming hypotheses, shipping variants, and drawing conclusions from data. - Strong understanding of attribution, tracking, and analytics, with hands-on experience in Google Analytics, Tableau, AppsFlyer, or similar tools. - English B2, with the ability to read acquisition funnel data and spot where things are working or breaking. Location: Georgia; Armenia; Poland; Kazakhstan; Uzbekistan; European Union Workplace: Remote 🌍 Remote | UTC+8 | Core collaboration hours: 12:00–6:00 PM Manila Time Salmon is a technology-driven financial company building a banking and lending platform across Southeast Asia, starting in the Philippines. We combine global fintech expertise with deep local market knowledge to make financial services simple, accessible, and useful for millions of people across the region. 7M+ app downloads. 2M+ monthly active users. 7,000+ partner stores. US$310M+ raised from leading global investors. Manila-based, globally distributed, and hybrid-first — our team spans 45+ countries. If you want to solve complex problems at scale and impact how millions of people access and manage money, come build with us. Southeast Asia's fintech moment starts here. About the role: You'll own how Credit Line scales next, leading its move into the Philippine middle class with better customers, higher limits, and healthier repayment. What you'll do: - Own the full Credit Line funnel — from awareness with marketing through acquisition, activation, and retention inside the product — with no dedicated engineering squad, so you're the connective layer holding marketing, acquisition, product, risk, and business together. - Work closely with marketing, product, acquisition, design, risk and origination, affiliates, and web/SEO, and be the person the team comes to when they need to align on growth. - Report to the Head of Growth and own the Credit Line acquisition budget — no direct reports, but real leverage over numbers that matter commercially. What you'll own: - Define and drive Credit Line's growth strategy end-to-end with the business team — what to test, scale, or kill. - Own the acquisition budget and decide where it goes. - Lead the move into the Philippine middle class — define who that customer is, where to reach them, and rebuild the acquisition mix around them. - Turn a real read on what customers need, fear, and compare us against into experiments worth running — hands-on when the bet calls for it, from testing a new channel to shipping the landing page yourself. - Run experiments across paid channels, landing pages, onboarding, activation, and retention with acquisition and product, tracking CAC, approval, activation, first transaction, limit utilization, spend per active, retention, reactivation, and LTV against cost of risk to find where the real leverage is. - Build a clean experiment-tracking system so learnings compound across quarters instead of getting lost. What makes you a strong fit: - 5+ years in growth, performance, or product marketing. - A track record of self-generated experiments that actually shipped and moved metrics. - Comfortable with product metrics and the tools behind them: CAC, LTV, activation, cohort retention in GA and AppsFlyer, Tableau, plus a working understanding of Meta, TikTok, and Google Ads Manager. - Hands-on with both qualitative and quantitative research — user interviews, large studies, segmentation, market signals. - Uses AI daily for prototypes, creative variants, and analysis, and knows when to override it rather than trust it blindly. - Strong project management and fluent English. What we offer: Ownership and flexibility - Fully remote work with core collaboration hours from 12:00 to 6:00 PM Manila time (UTC+8) - Company-provided tools and equipment Health and time off - Medical insurance support for you and your family through co-funding or reimbursement, depending on your location and subject to policy limits - Access to an internal mental health support specialist - 22 vacation days, Philippine public holidays, and 15 sick days Growth and team experience - Opportunities to learn and share your expertise through internal expert meetups, external conferences, speaking opportunities, and industry publications - Company-sponsored trips to Manila to meet and work with your team in person - High-performing teams can earn a dedicated beach house week in Southeast Asia
