About Wolt
At Wolt, we create technology that brings joy, simplicity and earnings to the neighborhoods of the world. In 2014 we started with delivery of restaurant food. Now we’re building the delivery of (almost) everything and you’ll find us in over 500 cities in 30 countries around the world. In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe.
Working at Wolt isn’t always easy, but it’s definitely exciting. Here you’ll learn more, build more, and ship more than in most other companies. You’ll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you’re a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life.
Wolt is part of DoorDash, and together we run one of the fastest-growing tech companies in Europe. We’re looking for a VAT Manager to join us as an in-house advisor on VAT matters across the business. You’ll work closely with Finance, Legal, Business and Product teams, translating VAT rules into clear, practical guidance for the wider organisation.
What you’ll be doing
This role is primarily advisory: you’ll be the go-to person for VAT questions across the business, working on several projects in parallel rather than owning a single recurring process. You’ll partner with teams across multiple functions to make sure VAT is considered early and handled correctly.
Day-to-day in this role you’ll:
Provide VAT advisory support to multiple teams and projects across the business
Review new products and features for their VAT treatment and implications
Review contracts from a VAT perspective, flagging risks and suggesting language
Identify, assess and manage VAT risks
Support in VAT audits, coordinating with tax authorities and internal stakeholders
Support specific reporting obligations, such as CESOP, as an SME
Our humble expectations
We think you’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy variety, can manage several projects at once, and are comfortable explaining VAT concepts to non-tax colleagues. You are willing to take ownership and work well in an autonomous environment.
Solid experience in VAT, including advisory work
Experience with tax audits
Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate VAT rules into practical, non-technical guidance
A background in financial services VAT and experience with CESOP reporting is a nice-to-have, but not essential
What’s in it for you
You’ll join a small, senior tax team with real ownership over VAT matters across Wolt’s markets. Expect varied, hands-on work as the business expands into new products and geographies, plus the chance to shape how VAT advisory is done at Wolt.

New Verticals is everything our customers buy that isn't a restaurant meal: groceries, pharmacy, electronics, the shop on the corner. It's one of the company's growth engines and still largely unsolved as a product problem - a forty-item grocery basket is nothing like ordering dinner. As a Senior Mobile Engineer, iOS - you'll join New Verticals EMEA, the group accountable for that mission across Wolt and Deliveroo in 30+ countries, organised as five teams.
Your home team owns quality and cost: making sure customers actually get what they ordered, at a sensible cost of getting a basket to their door. Substitutions, unavailable items, order accuracy - invisible when it works, infuriating when it doesn't. You won't only work there: mobile expertise is in demand across all five teams, and part of the role is going where the iOS work is.
This role is primarily focused on native iOS development. Experience across both iOS and Android, as well as backend development, is a strong plus.
What you’ll be doing
Building, improving and maintaining native iOS features for customer-facing journeys within our shared consumer apps.
Partnering closely with product, design and engineering colleagues to turn customer and business needs into simple, reliable and scalable mobile experiences.
Contributing to the design, implementation, launch and ongoing ownership of meaningful product initiatives.
Working with our server-driven UI (SDUI) approach to build configurable, component-based views that allow teams to move quickly while maintaining a coherent customer experience.
Making thoughtful technical decisions around architecture, testing, performance, observability, release processes and maintainability.
Collaborating with engineers across teams that own different parts of the same app, helping ensure integrations and shared patterns work well together.
Supporting and mentoring full-stack engineers who are developing their mobile expertise, and helping raise the bar for mobile implementation practices across the team.
Using AI-enabled tools pragmatically to improve engineering productivity, while applying strong judgment around quality, security and validation.
What we’re looking for
Strong experience building and shipping high-quality native iOS applications, with a solid understanding of modern iOS development practices.
Experience working on large-scale, consumer-facing mobile applications, ideally in an environment where several teams contribute to the same app.
Good knowledge of mobile architecture, testing, performance optimisation, observability, modularity, CI/CD and App Store release processes.
Experience collaborating closely with product and design partners to solve customer problems, not only implement specifications.
A pragmatic, product-minded approach: able to balance quality, speed and long-term maintainability.
Comfort working in an evolving environment, breaking down ambiguous problems and contributing to clear, practical solutions.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical trade-offs clearly.
Experience supporting, mentoring or enabling other engineers, particularly those growing their mobile development skills.
Practical experience using AI as part of your engineering toolkit, with good instincts for validation and quality.
Experience with Android development and/or backend engineering is a strong plus.
The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on a number of job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
This position would be eligible for consideration for an equity award grant of restricted stock units on commence and during the annual pay review cycle. ⭐ The role, concretely
Are you excited about building, structuring and scaling HR operations in a company that's just getting started? You will join Prévenir at a very early stage and help build the foundations of our People and administrative operations as the company scales. This role is particularly suited to someone who has already experienced a fast-growth environment, whether in a start-up, scale-up or during a 0-to-100 journey.
We're in the early chapters: this isn't about running existing processes — it's about creating them from scratch so they hold up at much larger scale. The role brings a product mindset to People operations, where every key moment of the employee experience is carefully designed, with a constant focus on simplicity and automation. You'll work closely with Lucie, who makes the final calls depending on topic complexity and supports you as you grow into autonomy.
Your time is split between:
- Employee journey: onboarding, probation-period tracking, setting up and running performance reviews, feedback processes, and monitoring team engagement.
- Documentation & operational efficiency: writing clear, user-centric documentation, spotting friction, simplifying or automating recurring processes. You leverage AI to multiply the impact of your work.
- People admin: leave and absence management, payroll back-and-forth, contracting and employee administrative follow-up, onboarding formalities and affiliations (health/provident insurance, occupational health), GDPR compliance.
- Operational finance: expense reports, preparing and sending accounting documents to Impulsa, preparing routine filings (including VAT).
Over time, this person will take ownership of payroll management in coordination with our accounting partner, with training and support.
👤 The profile we're looking for
Essential:
- At least 5-6 years of experience in People Ops, very hands-on, and comfortable with admin topics (e.g., managing the relationship with an accounting firm)
- Previous experience in a fast-scaling company, start-up or scale-up, ideally having helped build or scale People processes during a period of significant growth.
- Business curiosity: genuinely interested in what's happening on the business side, and able to connect your work to where the company is heading
- Versatility across People and Corporate/Admin topics, with a strong People focus
- Rigour and rock-solid attention to detail
- Autonomy: you don't wait to be told there's a problem — you spot it, bring a solution, and know when to loop someone in on the tricky ones
- Demonstrated interest in automating and improving recurring processes, and genuine enthusiasm for AI
- Comfort interacting with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior profiles when needed
- Fluent English (written and spoken) to interact with the Alan team
- Based in Paris or the Île-de-France region, with the ability to work onsite regularly, ideally three days per week or more.
Ideally:
- Experience in MedTech or in a start-up / scale-up
- Sensitivity to the medical world (professional or personal)
- Note: a 100% Occupational Health background may not be the right cultural fit, but worth testing
🙏 What we offer
- Location: 117 Quai de Valmy, Paris 10th, in a brand-new centre designed to support high-quality practice
- Base salary: between €53,000 and €61,000 gross per year, depending on experience and level
- Profit-sharing scheme: 10%, in line with Prévenir’s framework
- Benefits: daily transport costs covered, company restaurant, RTT days and regular team events
