An overview of this role
As Senior Manager, Total Rewards Operations, India, you'll lead a small team supporting GitLab's global benefits and compensation operations. You'll translate global program priorities into dependable execution, strengthen operational controls, and make processes easier to run and support across regions and time zones. You'll set clear priorities and quality standards while coaching your team to deliver accurate work. You'll support global programs in partnership with their functional owners, rather than set enterprise-wide compensation or benefits strategy.
What You’ll Do
Oversee, coach, and develop the day-to-day responsibilities for the local Benefits Analyst and Senior Total Rewards Operations Analyst, establishing clear ownership, goals, feedback practices, and coverage plans.
Prioritize global benefits support and compensation operations work, balancing recurring cycles, service requests, audits, and time-sensitive projects.
Oversee compensation operations support, including market-data workflows, compensation-cycle preparation, system transactions, equity grant data checks, and audit evidence.
Establish quality controls, review points, escalation paths, and records practices that protect sensitive compensation and benefits information and maintain appropriate access and confidentiality.
Monitor deadlines, dependencies, service trends, and risks, surfacing issues early and carrying practical process improvements through to adoption.
Partner with global program owners to coordinate execution across geographies, communicate local considerations, and support consistent team member experiences through clear written updates, decision records, and reusable documentation.
Work with People Technology and system stakeholders to clarify requirements, test process and system changes, and improve data quality and workflow efficiency, using artificial intelligence tools responsibly where appropriate.
What You’ll Bring
Experience in Total Rewards, benefits, compensation operations, or a closely related People function in a global organization, with working knowledge of benefits administration and/or compensation processes and their dependencies.
Demonstrated people-management ability, including setting priorities, coaching team members, and developing operational capability.
A record of delivering accurate work across multiple deadlines, stakeholders, and time zones, supported by practical controls, root-cause analysis, and process improvements.
Clear written communication and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to explain processes and escalate risks.
Sound judgment with confidential data and sensitive team member matters.
Ability to use spreadsheets, human resources systems, and collaboration tools to manage workflows and validate data.
Fluency in artificial intelligence tools and the ability to use them responsibly to improve Total Rewards work and team processes.
Helpful, but not required: experience supporting a distributed, multi-country workforce or working with benefits vendors, brokers, salary surveys, equity grant operations, or compensation review cycles.
About the team
The Senior Total Rewards Operations Manager supports global total rewards programs, working with Payroll, Finance, People Operations, People Technology, Legal, People Business Partners, brokers, and vendors. The team's tools include Workday, Google Workspace, Slack, and Claude. The role emphasizes accurate administration, team-member support, and practical process improvements, with opportunities to build deeper total rewards expertise.

Replit is the agentic software creation platform that enables anyone to build applications using natural language. With millions of users worldwide, Replit is democratizing software development by removing traditional barriers to application creation.
VP of Communications, Replit
Replit is changing who gets to build software. As an agentic software creation platform, Replit enables anyone, from individual creators to teams inside the world’s largest companies, to turn natural language into applications, internal tools, dashboards, workflows, websites, and software that solves real problems.
We are looking for a Director or VP of Communications to lead Replit’s next chapter of storytelling, trust building, and market leadership.
This is a senior communications role for a creative, strategic, and hands-on leader who can build and scale the communications function as Replit grows from a beloved developer platform into a defining company in AI, software creation, and enterprise transformation. This person will own Replit’s external and internal communications strategy, including strategic positioning and company narrative, media relations, analyst relations, executive communications, internal communications, crisis communications, customer storytelling, flagship thought leadership, policy-related communications, and global awareness.
The role requires someone who can push through the noise, make the Replit story heard, and keep it part of the conversation. The Director / VP of Communications will develop a compelling narrative that evolves with the company, the product, and the market, and deliver it across media, policymakers, partners, customers, prospects, and employees. The role will also support Replit’s international awareness, with a focus on key markets in Europe and Asia.
This person must be both strategic and execution-oriented. They should have built or helped lead a communications function at a fast-growing technology company, or led communications and positioning for a leading institution. This is not a traditional press office role of adopting another company’s playbook in its entirety.
The person must be creative, scrappy, maybe even spiky: able to take what they know works as a foundation and build on it to make Replit a unique player that punches above its weight in a crowded, competitive marketplace.
Role
- Lead and scale Replit’s communications function, including communications strategy, team structure, agency management, operating rhythms, and execution standards.
- Build an AI-native communications function, with agents running repeatable work so a lean team focuses on judgment, relationships, and creative leaps.
- Develop and evolve Replit’s corporate narrative as the company expands across AI, developer tools, enterprise, consumer, education, and global markets.
- Own Replit’s strategic positioning: the upstream frameworks and intellectual capital that make every launch, stage, and story land better.
- Lead communications programs across company announcements, product launches, enterprise momentum, customer stories, partnerships, policy-related issues, executive visibility, awards, events, and thought leadership.
- Shape how the market understands Replit as an agentic software creation platform that enables anyone to build applications using natural language.
- Build clear, credible narratives around AI-powered software creation, developer productivity, enterprise adoption, security, governance, education, and the future of work.
- Develop flagship thought leadership, signature reports, and third-party validator relationships that build enterprise and institutional trust.
- Partner with the CEO, executive team, and functional leaders on positioning, reputation, media strategy, internal communications, and high-stakes company moments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with technology, business, AI, enterprise, developer, policy, and international media.
- Partner closely with product, engineering, marketing, sales, partnerships, legal, policy, people, and finance to create coordinated communications programs that support company priorities.
- Lead or support internal communications, including company meetings, leadership messaging, employee announcements, change communications, and moments that help the company stay aligned as it scales.
- Manage proactive and reactive communications, including rapid response, issues management, crisis communications, and sensitive topics.
- Prepare executives and spokespeople for media interviews, podcasts, conferences, customer events, internal moments, and industry presentations, and earn premier stages for Replit’s leaders.
- Support Replit’s global communications strategy, with particular focus on expanding awareness in Europe and Asia.
- Track the AI, software, developer, enterprise, startup, and policy landscape to identify where Replit should lead, respond, or reframe the conversation.
- Build a communications culture that values speed, clarity, creativity, judgment, and proof.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 12+ years of experience in communications, PR, media, corporate affairs, or related fields for Director level; 15+ years for VP level.
- Experience building, scaling, or significantly expanding a communications or strategic positioning function at a fast-growing technology company or leading institution.
- Proven experience working directly with founders, CEOs, executives, and senior cross-functional leaders.
- Strong relationships with technology, business, enterprise, AI, developer, and/or policy media.
- Experience managing external agencies and cross-functional communications programs on a global level.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for users, developers, enterprise buyers, employees, policymakers, partners, and the press.
- Strong understanding of the AI landscape and how AI is changing software development, enterprise productivity, and the future of work.
- Hands-on fluency with AI and agentic tools, with a vision for AI-native communications operations.
- Track record of flagship thought leadership: signature reports, executive platforms, and ideas that shape an industry’s conversation.
- Experience earning third-party validation from leading institutions and policy communities for a scrutinized or emerging technology.
- Experience guiding communications through major inflection points: public-company transitions, landmark policy moments, category creation.
- Experience across several communications disciplines, including external communications, internal communications, media relations, executive communications, crisis communications, and strategic messaging.
- Ability to translate complex technical ideas into clear, compelling stories without losing substance.
- Cross-functional leadership experience, with the ability to influence and collaborate across product, engineering, sales, marketing, legal, policy, finance, and people teams.
- Ability to see the big picture while operating in execution mode.
- Passionate about their craft and the impact they can have.
- Strong judgment in fast-moving, high-pressure environments.
- A creative, resourceful, “do more with less” mindset.

Working closely with our VP of Finance Strategy & Operations, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and executive team, you'll be a senior individual contributor with broad ownership of investor communications and relationships. You'll connect insights from across the business to explain our technical products, evolving business models, and long-term investment thesis.

Lead key workstreams of the quarterly earnings process, including messaging, scripts, questions and answers, data collection and synthesis, and conference call preparation; build repeatable processes with Finance, Legal, and executive leadership.
Gather insights from research and development, Product, Sales, and other business leaders to explain GitLab's strategy, technical products, and business model transitions in investor communications and board materials.

Prepare the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), CFO, and other executives for investor meetings, conferences, and roadshows; lead investor calls independently when executives aren't available, explaining how GitLab's business works and answering investor questions.
Analyze peer and competitor earnings, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings, and investor days; maintain benchmarking analyses and deliver quantitative and qualitative insights for executive and board discussions.
Track GitLab's shareholder base and recommend investor targeting strategies to expand and maintain key ownership positions.
Draft and review earnings decks, shareholder letters, fact sheets, and IR website content; partner with Finance, Legal, Communications, and Strategy to keep messaging consistent, accurate, and compliant with disclosure requirements, including Regulation Fair Disclosure (Regulation FD).
Plan and deliver Investor Day with the head of IR to communicate GitLab's long-term story, alongside investor outreach, non-deal roadshows, and corporate access events.
What You’ll Bring
Experience evaluating software businesses from a buy-side or sell-side investment perspective, gained through investing, equity research, investor relations, or a related field.
Financial modeling, valuation, and quantitative analysis skills, with the ability to identify the business drivers that shape investor expectations.
Experience producing or analyzing earnings materials and investor presentations, and explaining technical software products, evolving business models, and financial performance clearly in writing and conversation. You can work directly with senior executives and offer an informed point of view.
Working knowledge of SEC reporting, Regulation FD, and public company disclosure practices.
Proficiency with presentation and spreadsheet tools, experience with IR and market data platforms, and experience using artificial intelligence (AI) to improve workflows or a willingness to develop that capability.
The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in an all-remote, asynchronous-first environment, with an approach that reflects GitLab's values, especially transparency and efficiency.
Nice to have: prior experience building an internal IR function.
About the team
GitLab’s Investor Relations team drives the strategy and long-term market positioning of GitLab in the public financial markets. We are a small team, so each member has broad ownership and visibility across all aspects of IR.

Perform month-, quarter- and year-end close and financial reporting under U.S. and local GAAP, and ensure compliance with local statutory accounting, tax, cash repatriation and other regulatory requirements.
Own local statutory audits, tax audits and regulatory changes in each jurisdiction, working closely with tax agents and business process outsourcers (BPOs).
Own general ledger management, account reconciliations, flux analysis and adherence to internal controls; own entity deliverables for the global audit.

Proven people leadership: a strong manager who builds and develops teams, is kind and empathetic while holding people accountable, and is focused on excellence in accounting, close and compliance.
Deep experience with local regulatory reporting, taxation and compliance matters, including working with BPOs and tax audits, and the ability to learn the requirements of new jurisdictions quickly and take end-to-end ownership.
Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams such as treasury, reporting, tax, shared services, HR and FP&A.
A builder's mindset focused on constant improvement, with a track record of reducing days to close and bringing efficiencies through technology, standardization of processes and talent development.

An authorized public accounting license such as Chartered Accountant or local equivalent.
Nice to have:
