Perplexity is revolutionizing how companies get work done. We are seeking a Product Marketing Manager to join our team and serve as the strategic bridge between our product reality and market impact. You will architect the external narrative of our products and amplify their value to inspire adoption and drive growth.
If you have a passion for creating clarity when things are messy, thrive in turning ambiguity into a definitive point of view, and want to build a world-class marketing engine that drives launches as systems rather than events, this role is for you.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Turn ambiguity into clarity. Transform complex product capabilities into a crisp market point of view, defining not just what we built, but who it’s for, what it replaces, and why it wins.
- Drive launches as a system, not an event. Orchestrate product introductions by defining success metrics and sequencing readiness across teams, ensuring enablement and proof points land simultaneously with the launch.
- Make others materially better at their jobs. Equip customer-facing teams with "talk tracks that close," handling objections and providing competitive intelligence that reflects the actual battlefield.
- Obsess over the customer and the market. Maintain a sharp, real-time view of buyer needs and alternatives, ensuring our narrative remains grounded in truth and provable value rather than empty hype.
- Measure outcomes, not just outputs. Tie messaging and launches to tangible pipeline influence, activation, and retention, running lightweight experiments to iterate fast on pricing, packaging, and positioning.
- Influence without authority. Lead through alignment by pre-wiring decisions, surfacing risks early, and managing trade-offs to keep product, sales, and marketing moving in lockstep.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of experience in product marketing, ideally within a high-growth technology company where you have owned end-to-end product launches.
- Proven track record of synthesizing complex technical concepts into simple, specific, and provable narratives that travel across executive, sales, and partner teams.
- Deep familiarity with the rules of traditional marketing with an interest in breaking them.
- World-class storytelling skills grounded in data, with the ability to summarize a product’s value in a single sentence and defend it with evidence.
- Extreme comfort delivering clarity in high-velocity, ambiguous environments.

About the role 💭
We’re hiring an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers at WorkOS. We’re looking for a leader who is excited to manage engineers, but approaches the role as a startup founding member would.
This role is ideal for someone with a builder’s DNA and you will play a key role in shaping product decisions, driving technical strategy, and empowering your team to execute on high-impact projects.
You will also play a pivotal role in scaling the team, recruiting exceptional engineers. You’re not just excited about software—you’re obsessed with building the best developer platform.
Responsibilities ✔️
- Build and lead high-velocity teams that ship product fast and with polish
- Be deeply technical and hands-on: read the PRs, write prototypes, jump into the weeds
- Take raw ideas and turn them into working systems, even if you have to duct tape the first version
- Rally your team even when there is ambiguity, setbacks, or tough customer asks—run through walls when needed
- Push for clarity, focus, and high energy in every sprint. Drive urgency without burning people out
- Drive alignment on the roadmap and become an expert on customer needs related to the product areas your team owns
- Spend time with customers and engineers alike—digging into pain points, testing assumptions, and improving the craft
- Coach, mentor, and build a team of curious, scrappy, driven engineers—people who want to grow fast and build great things
Qualifications 🌟
- Track record of having successfully led product-focused engineering teams in high-performing organizations that shipped real impact
- You've written code at a high level, and you still love to get your hands dirty. You view leadership as an amplifier, not a step back
- Bias for action and scrappiness: You don’t over-optimize for process. You optimize for velocity, customer value, and learning
- You deeply care about the developer experience. You think about UX, APIs, performance, edge cases, and joy
- You ask "why" obsessively, and you push yourself (and your team) to learn constantly
- You build trust, give direct feedback, and create space for engineers to thrive
- You have experience partnering with internal recruiting teams to drive effective and fair hiring processes. You realize that recruiting is a large (and important!) part of your role. A track record of recruiting, hiring, and mentoring top engineering talent.

We build the systems and practices that keep everything running smoothly—handling hundreds of millions of requests, minimizing downtime, and continuously improving service performance. Our team works across the stack and collaborates closely with infrastructure and product engineering teams. We embed reliability into everything we do—whether it’s designing scalable systems, improving observability, or leading incident response. If you’re motivated by complex systems, passionate about uptime and performance, and excited to make reliability a first-class concern—this role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for engineers who are excited to improve the reliability of complex systems and enjoy digging into how things work. As an early member of the SRE team, you’ll help shape our approach to reliability at scale and collaborate closely across the company. You might be a great fit if you:
- Bring a generalist mindset and are comfortable working across infrastructure layers—from compute and networking to storage, databases, and app runtime environments
- Are curious and proactive, with a strong desire to understand systems end-to-end and uncover hidden failure modes
- Care deeply about uptime, observability, and performance, and see reliability as a product feature
- Think through architectural trade-offs with reliability, simplicity, and maintainability in mind
- Take initiative, work independently, and follow through—from identifying reliability risks to driving improvements
- Collaborate well with engineers across disciplines and enjoy supporting teams through production readiness, incident response, and postmortem reviews
Responsibilities ✔️
- Design and evolve the systems, tooling, and processes that improve the reliability and performance of WorkOS
- Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams to ensure services are production-ready, observable, and resilient to failure
- Define and measure SLIs/SLOs to guide reliability improvements
- Write and optimize backend systems (in TypeScript) with a focus on performance, maintainability, and graceful degradation
- Improve our incident response process, lead postmortems, and drive follow-through on reliability risks
- Develop internal tools and automations that make it easier to operate and scale our systems
- Participate in our on-call rotation—responding to, resolving, and learning from production incidents
- Contribute to design and architecture discussions with a focus on operability and long-term sustainability
- Document systems, share learnings, and help grow a reliability-minded engineering culture
Qualifications 🌟
- Based in PST/PDT timezone
- Experience operating and scaling production systems in cloud environments (we use AWS)
- Familiarity with service reliability concepts—monitoring, alerting, incident response, and root cause analysis
- Comfort working across infrastructure layers (e.g. compute, networking, storage, observability tooling)
- Strong debugging and systems thinking skills—you can follow problems across services and layers
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive projects from problem discovery through resolution
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Kubernetes or similar orchestration systems
- Exposure to observability stacks (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, OpenTelemetry)
- Exposure to TypeScript or interest in working in a TypeScript-based codebase

About the Opportunity:
IDT’s Retail division is looking for an energetic, hybrid Retail Account Manager (RAM). In this role, you won't just manage a route—you will be a growth partner for small businesses. You will drive revenue by selling our flagship National Retail Solutions (NRS) portfolio—including Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, credit card merchant services, and cash advances—while simultaneously managing and expanding our traditional telecom and financial services products (Boss Revolution) within your territory.
This role balances the thrill of direct, consultative sales with the stability of consistent account management.
In this role, you will:
Drive NRS Product Sales:
Prospect, pitch, and close sales for NRS Point-of-Sale (POS) devices, Merchant Services, and Cash Advances to new and existing retail accounts.
Manage an Assigned Route:
Develop and execute a weekly cycle to visit retail stores on a regular basis, ensuring high customer satisfaction and identifying upsell opportunities.
Open New Retail Doors:
Actively prospect and go door-to-door to expand IDT and NRS presence in your territory.
Onboard & Support Customers:
Drive the merchant application process, help store owners understand how to use our services effectively, and provide light troubleshooting/tech support on equipment.
Handle Operations & Inventory:
Manage sales, cash/payment collections, and telecom card inventory using IDT's accounting system.
What we are looking for:
Experience:
1–2 years of experience in retail sales, outside sales, or customer-facing roles. Prior exposure to Merchant Services, POS implementation, or route sales is a major plus.
Language:
Bilingual professionals with fluency in both
English and Spanish
are highly preferred to support our diverse customer base.
Mobility:
Must have a valid driver's license, a reliable car, and a willingness to travel door-to-door within your assigned territory daily.
Tech Savvy:
Comfortable using basic MS Office, CRM tools, tablets, and Bluetooth equipment.
Traits:
A resilient "people person" with sharp attention to detail, strong presentation skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
We offer you:
Competitive Base Salary + uncapped commission structure.
Comprehensive mileage and gas reimbursement program.
Paid on-the-job training on both NRS tech products and IDT telecom services.
Excellent benefits package (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401k with employer match, and PTO).
