About Alchemy
Alchemy is the Web3 infrastructure and developer platform that powers millions of users and the world’s most innovative blockchain applications. From enabling $1+ trillion in financial transactions worldwide to scaling L2s and enabling DeFi, Alchemy provides the infrastructure and tools developers need to build reliable, scalable, and accessible experiences.
Trusted by companies like JPMorgan, Stripe, Visa, Franklin Templeton, Nike, and backed by a16z, Coatue, Silver Lake, Lightspeed, and Stanford University, Alchemy is building the foundational layer for a decentralized and AI-enabled Web3 ecosystem. For more information, visit alchemy.com http://alchemy.com.
About the role
Self-serve is how Alchemy grows. The dashboard and the developer experience around it are the primary revenue engine for our flagship products: developers discover us, sign up, get to their first call, scale their usage, and upgrade largely without ever talking to a person. That funnel is one of the most direct levers on company-level revenue we have, and this role owns it.
It's also changing fast. A growing share of developers now reach Alchemy through an AI coding agent rather than a browser tab, and we expect agent-mediated usage to become the dominant way our platform is consumed. Building for that shift, our MCP server, agent skills, and AI-native onboarding, sits squarely in this role.
You'll run the dashboard as a product, own the self-serve growth engine, and set the experimentation and measurement standard for growth across the company, partnering with Node APIs, Data APIs, Wallets, Transaction Engine, Growth Marketing, and Billing, and spending meaningful time with customers.
What you'll own
- The dashboard. Own signup, app creation, first key, first call, usage and CU visibility, upgrade paths, team management, and the observability developers need to debug their own traffic.
- Developer experience end to end. Docs, SDKs, quickstarts, error messages, sandbox and testnet flows, and the first hour of every integration. Reduce time to first successful call, then time to first paid workload.
- Own product-led growth end to end. Design the developer journey from docs, to first API call, to first paid workload, to scaled production spend. Instrument it, find the drop-offs, fix them.
- Agent experience (AX). Make Alchemy the default infrastructure an AI coding agent reaches for. Own how our MCP server, agent skills, and machine readable docs perform inside Claude Code, Cursor, and whatever comes next.
- Experimentation. Building the A/B and holdout tooling, running pricing, packaging, and onboarding tests, and creating a habit of shipping and learning weekly rather than quarterly.
- The truth. Get into the warehouse yourself. Build the funnel, find the cohort that doesn't behave like the average, and bring back the answer nobody wanted to hear.
What we're looking for
- 10+ years in product, with deep time on developer platforms, APIs, or infrastructure, and direct ownership of a dashboard or console that developers use daily.
- Proven product-led growth leadership: you've owned a self-serve funnel at scale and can show what you moved, by how much, and how you know it was you.
- Rigorous experimentation practice. You know the difference between a lift and a fluke, you size tests before you run them, and you've built the culture as much as the tooling.
- Genuinely analytical. Data Analysis is a normal Tuesday. You can build the model, audit the instrumentation, catch the bad join, and defend the number in front of the exec team.
- Truth seeking. You'd rather be corrected in week one than right in a deck in week twelve. You go looking for the disconfirming data.
- Cross functional gravity. You've driven outcomes across engineering, design, docs, marketing, sales, and finance without owning any of them.
- Customer facing by instinct. You run your own discovery calls, sit in support channels, and can walk a CTO through an integration and a pricing model in the same meeting.
- Technical enough to build with our own APIs, prototype with AI agents, and read the code when the answer isn't in the dashboard.
- Crypto and web3 experience is a plus.

Perplexity is seeking an Applied AI Architect to help our customers turn Perplexity Computer into working solutions that drive measurable impact. This role is ideal for technical, consultative professionals who have led complex software implementations and can move comfortably between customer discovery, solution design, hands-on delivery, and executive communication.
About the role
Perplexity Computer is a new class of AI system that navigates tools, interacts with applications, and completes multi-step workflows end to end. Our customers are using Computer to transform work that traditional software has not been able to address.
Applied AI Architects work directly with customers across presales, onboarding, adoption, and strategic engagements. You will uncover the real business problem, determine what Computer can credibly support, design and configure the workflow, and lead the engagement to a clear outcome.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role at the intersection of solutions architecture, technical consulting, and program delivery. You will work closely with Sales and Customer Success while serving as a quality filter for requests that require Product or Engineering.
What you'll do
- Lead technical discovery. Work with customer business leaders, technical teams, account executives, and customer success managers to understand the users, current workflow, desired outcome, constraints, and decision-makers.
- Design credible solutions. Map how people, data, tools, approvals, permissions, and decisions interact, then determine how Computer can support the workflow.
- Support complex opportunities. Partner with account executives on technical deal strategy, demos, proofs of value, architecture and security coordination, and engagement scoping.
- Drive value-backed consumption. Identify high-value, repeatable workflows; define the expected business outcomes and usage patterns; and partner with Sales and Customer Success to move customers from technical validation to sustained production use and expansion.
- Build hands-on. Configure, prototype, test, and iterate on Computer skills and workflows, including connectors, permissions, and adjacent tooling.
- Accelerate onboarding and adoption. Provide second-level technical consultation to customer success managers and deliver bounded technical work when customer needs exceed standard Customer Success coverage.
- Run strategic engagements. Establish scope, customer commitments, milestones, success criteria, working cadence, and exit criteria, then lead the work through closure.
- Improve technical escalation. Validate product and engineering needs and produce decision-ready requests with clear evidence, constraints, impact, and acceptance criteria.
- Turn every engagement into leverage. Convert repeated customer needs into reusable workflows, implementation patterns, demos, guidance, and product feedback.
What we're looking for
The strongest Applied AI Architects combine technical depth, consultative problem solving, and disciplined engagement delivery. You should be comfortable working hands-on with the product, advising customer executives, and managing the details required to deliver a successful outcome.
Must-haves
- 5+ years in a customer-facing technical role such as solutions architecture, senior sales engineering, AI implementation, forward deployed work, technical consulting, or technical program leadership.
- Proven consultative discovery skills. You can turn an ambiguous request into a clear business problem, technical approach, and delivery plan.
- Hands-on technical fluency. You are comfortable with APIs, integrations, authentication, identity, permissions, connectors, data flows, and technical troubleshooting.
- Experience delivering complex implementations. You have managed scope, stakeholders, milestones, risk, expectations, and closure.
- Strong solution judgment. You can distinguish education, configuration, implementation, support, product, and engineering problems and recommend the right path.
- Commercial and consumption awareness. You can connect solution design and technical decisions to time to value, usage, credit consumption, customer economics, and expansion potential.
- Executive-credible communication. You can explain technical trade-offs to senior decision-makers while working effectively with practitioners and engineers.
- High agency in ambiguity. You can establish direction without waiting for perfect requirements, challenge weak assumptions, and make thoughtful decisions quickly.
- AI-native working style. You use frontier models and AI tools regularly and have developed strong intuition for what current systems can and cannot do reliably.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience deploying agents or multi-step LLM workflows in complex enterprise environments.
- Experience with Computer, MCP, enterprise identity, security, permissions, or workflow orchestration.
- Experience in regulated or workflow-intensive industries such as legal, financial services, healthcare, or technology.

Workplace: OnSite
ROLE HIGHLIGHTS:
- Title: AIT Engineer - Electronics
- Department: Global Manufacturing Organisation
- Location: Greece
- Reporting to: AIT Engineering Team Leader
- Type of Contract: Permanent
- Working model: On-site (occasional travel for environmental test and launch campaigns)
- Employment is subject to applicable security screening (incl. SUPO, where required).
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS:
The Electronics AIT Engineer transforms satellite electrical designs into reliable, flight-ready hardware. - Practical mastery of electrical integration: harness routing and connection, crimping and soldering practice, connector identification, continuity and insulation verification.
- Working knowledge of satellite power subsystems, including batteries, power distribution and the handling and safety constraints that come with them, sufficient to integrate and test them on flight hardware.
- Experience specifying, designing or validating EGSE or comparable test equipment.
- Proficiency developing and executing automated or semi-automated test scripts (Python or equivalent).
- Hands-on troubleshooting of complex electronic systems with laboratory instruments, and the ability to read electrical schematics, interface control documents and technical specifications.
- Strong track record of enabling design for manufacturing, assembly and testability (DFM, DFA, DFT), working alongside design teams rather than after them.
- Familiarity with verification and configuration management in complex hardware industries, including root cause analysis and non-conformance ownership through to closure.
- Working knowledge of cleanroom and ESD discipline. Integration in Athens is typically ISO 8, with ISO 7 and ISO 5 environments also possible.
- Experience in multidisciplinary engineering environments, mentoring engineers or technicians, and communicating clearly with designers, production leads and executive stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills in English (written & spoken).
NICE TO HAVES:
- Familiarity with electronics workmanship standards: IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, J-STD-001.

We are looking for a
Cinematic AI Creator (Contractor)
: a filmmaker who works in generative models rather than with a crew.
You will produce the cinematic work that demonstrates what our AI can do, including multi-shot sequences, launch films, campaign pieces, and genre and style showcases. You will also translate film craft into product. The camera language, lighting setups, film stocks, genre looks and transitions you work with are what our cinematic video features need to offer users. You will define those cinematic directions for the team to productise, and set the quality bar for the video work we ship. You will work closely with Product, Creative and Engineering, and will be among the first to test each new video model we get access to.
Please note that this is a Full-time Contractor (6 months) role.
How You'll Make an Impact
Direct and produce cinematic AI content end to end: concept, story, shot list, generation, edit, sound and final delivery.
Build multi-shot sequences with consistent characters, wardrobe, world, lighting and geography across cuts.
Design each shot deliberately: lens, framing, blocking, lighting, colour and grade, and camera movement.
Create the hero shots and set pieces that anchor a launch, and the showcases that demonstrate stylistic range.
Define cinematic directions, including camera moves, lighting setups, film stocks, genre looks, transitions and VFX beats, specified clearly enough to be productised.
Prototype new cinematic capabilities and prove what is possible before it becomes a feature.
Set and document the quality bar for the video work we ship.
Test each new video model on release, reporting on strengths, failure modes, prompt behaviour, motion quality and temporal consistency, and track where AI filmmaking is going.
What You'll Bring
A body of work:
film, series or episodic work, commercials, music videos, short films, branded or short-form content; whatever best shows your craft, alongside AI-native work.
Deep understanding of visual storytelling: story structure, plot, pacing, shot design, blocking, performance and the edit.
Command of cinematography fundamentals (cameras, lenses, lighting, colour, grading, composition and camera movement), and the vocabulary to direct them precisely in a prompt.
Hands-on experience with generative video models and how they behave in practice, and with the image models that feed them.
Prompting skill for video: motion description, camera control, identity and style preservation, and first/last-frame and reference-driven workflows.
End-to-end post capability in editing, grading and sound, and the ability to run a full production cycle alone.
Awareness of internet culture and what makes cinematic content travel.
The judgement to hold a quality bar, including on your own work.
Fluency in English.
Good To Have
Background in VFX, animation, motion design, concept art or 3D (Blender, Cinema 4D, Houdini, Nuke, Unreal).
Experience directing hybrid productions that combine live footage with generative work.
ComfyUI or node-based video pipelines, and LoRA or character-consistency training.
Interest in shaping AI creative tools rather than only using them.
A public presence as an AI filmmaker or creator.

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
As a Staff Software Engineer on the GTM AI Engineering (Claudification) team, you will build the agents and AI systems that run Anthropic's own go-to-market work. Our sellers already work alongside agents every day. You will take things to the next step and build agents that run complete autonomous motions across areas like inbound, outbound, and pipeline management. In addition, you’ll build eval frameworks that prove those agents are ready for customer-facing work and are driving value. This is a senior role where you’ll drive technical direction for agents and evals across our team.
Working closely with sellers, RevOps, and our platform engineering partners, you'll own projects from first prototype through production operation. You'll combine full-stack engineering (MCP servers, agentic systems, web applications, etc.) with hands-on evaluation work (behavior benchmarks, production monitoring, ROI measurement), and help architect the shared platforms that builders from across our go-to-market org contribute to. You've worked in cultures of analytical rigor before, and you're eager to help shape the norms and best practices of a growing AI engineering function at a pivotal moment in the company's growth.
Key responsibilities
Build and operate autonomous agents that run go-to-market motions end to end, across areas like inbound, outbound, pipeline management, and customer engagement
Design the human oversight for each motion: approval gates, handoffs, and escalation paths that keep sellers in control
Develop evaluation frameworks for agent behavior, and run them in development and in production
Instrument model and tool calls in production, and build the observability and measurement that ties agent actions to pipeline and revenue
Ship MCP servers, agent skills, and web applications that connect to systems like our CRM, communication tools, and data warehouse
Set the technical direction for how we build, evaluate, and operate agents across the team
Architect shared codebases that builders from across go-to-market contribute to, setting the conventions and review practices that keep quality high
Work directly with sellers to ground agent designs in real workflows, and iterate based on what you observe
Identify repeatable patterns and contribute insights back to Anthropic's Product and Engineering teams
Maintain strong knowledge of the latest developments in LLM capabilities, agent frameworks, and evaluation techniques
Minimum qualifications
Strong programming skills in Python or TypeScript, with experience building and operating production applications
Production experience with LLMs, including context engineering, agent development, MCP development, tool use, and evaluation frameworks
Experience using evals and transcript analysis to find and fix real problems in an LLM system
Working fluency with data, including SQL
Ability to navigate ambiguity and ship without a spec, finding simple solutions to complex problems
Passion for advancing safe, beneficial AI, and care for the people who use what you build
Preferred qualifications
8+ years in roles such as software engineer, ML engineer, or forward deployed engineer. Former technical founders are encouraged to apply
Experience with the Claude Code and the Claude Agent SDK
Experience with go-to-market systems (CRM, sales engagement, enrichment, conversation intelligence) or time working closely with a revenue team
Experience growing a codebase that many people contribute to, inner-source or open-source
Applied ML and experimentation background: A/B testing, propensity models, recommendations, or causal analysis
Exceptional communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical partners with low ego
Representative projects
(Illustrative of the kind of work, not a project list.)
Build an agent that takes a routine sales workflow from first signal to a drafted, human-reviewed action
Stand up the eval suite for an agent: seed scenarios, scoring rubrics, and regression runs on every change
Ship an MCP server that gives sellers and their agents governed access to a core revenue system
Design a shared repository where go-to-market builders publish agents and skills, with the tests and review rules that keep it healthy
Build a predictive model that explains itself, so an agent can tell a seller why it suggests an action
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
Annual Salary:
$320,000
—
$405,000 USD
Logistics
Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study:
A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience:
Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
Your safety matters to us.
To protect yourself from potential scams, remember that Anthropic recruiters only contact you from @anthropic.com email addresses. In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. Legitimate Anthropic recruiters will never ask for money, fees, or banking information before your first day. If you're ever unsure about a communication, don't click any links—visit
anthropic.com/careers
directly for confirmed position openings.
How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

Figma is growing our team of passionate creatives and builders on a mission to make design accessible to all. Figma’s platform helps teams bring ideas to life—whether you're brainstorming, creating a prototype, translating designs into code, or iterating with AI. From idea to product, Figma empowers teams to streamline workflows, move faster, and work together in real time from anywhere in the world. If you're excited to shape the future of design and collaboration, join us!
Figma is building its founding Forward Deployed Engineering team to solve the complex, real-world challenges that emerge when bringing Figma’s products into large-scale enterprise environments and looking for founding Forward Deployed Engineers. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you’ll embed directly with strategic customers, working across their codebases, design systems, developer environments, and workflows to make Figma’s products successful within their unique technical constraints. You’ll tackle the hardest adoption challenges hands-on, from complex frontend stacks and legacy systems to security and access requirements, while building trusted partnerships with customers’ senior engineering teams.
This is a senior/staff-level engineering role within Product and Engineering, not a sales or services function. You’ll work directly in customer environments when needed, using the minimum access required. Your goal is smooth adoption by the customer’s product and engineering teams, which means making complex workflows work simply in their environment and solving the underlying problems You’ll do that hands-on, often by writing Figma product code, then turn what you learn into a reusable path for future customers instead of taking permanent ownership of the customer’s codebase. Working closely with Figma’s Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Experience teams, you’ll help shape both the product and how this brand-new function works and scales. The role is highly collaborative, deeply customer-facing, and built for engineers who thrive in ambiguity, take end-to-end ownership, and want to solve the highest-impact problems at the intersection of product, engineering, and customer needs. This role includes periodic travel to work alongside strategic customers in person.
This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.
What you'll do at Figma:
Make an enterprise design system agent-ready so AI tools generate faithful, on-system code: fix tokens, naming, and guidelines, wire up Code Connect, and run evals
Get Make Local, Code Layers, and our newest products working in a customer’s real environment, writing code, config, agent skills, and guideline files against their systems and ours
Run technical discovery: understand a customer's dev environment, toolchain, and constraints, then scope the fastest credible path to value, in addition to setting the customer up for long term success
Debug hard, unfamiliar integration problems (git workflows, CI, dev-environment setup, non-standard stacks)
Build LLM-powered workflows: MCP setup, agent skills, and prompt engineering tuned to each customer’s context
Turn one-off solutions into reusable playbooks and product feedback, so patterns you solve once become self-serve or shipped product
Bring learnings on friction back to Figma's Product and Engineering teams, influence what gets built next, and often build it
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
5+ years shipping production software end-to-end, with meaningful time embedded with customers or partner teams
Excellent customer-facing communication and technical partnership skills, with the ability to build trust with senior engineers and translate customer needs into actionable product and engineering solutions
Strong engineering fundamentals and adaptability, with the ability to quickly navigate unfamiliar codebases, languages, and technical environments to deliver production-ready solutions
Hands-on experience with design systems and design-to-code workflows, including component libraries, tokens, documentation, and the tooling that connects design artifacts to production code
Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript or Python, including demonstrated fluency with agentic coding tools (e.g., MCP, agent orchestration). You have hands-on experience integrating APIs and SDKs, troubleshooting toolchains and CI environments, and navigating enterprise requirements such as SSO, security reviews, access controls, data residency, and compliance frameworks
Comfort owning ambiguous technical problems end to end, identifying patterns across customer engagements, and turning field learning into reusable product improvements
While it's not required, it's an added plus if you also have:
Background in forward-deployed engineering, solutions engineering, professional services, developer experience, or a similar customer-facing technical role
Familiarity with developer tools, design-to-code workflows, or AI/LLM products, including tools such as Code Connect, Storybook, Style Dictionary, or comparable technologies
Proven ability to partner cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Experience, Solutions Architecture, or related teams to deliver complex enterprise engagements
At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.

ABOUT US
Sierra is the leading platform for customer-facing AI agents, working with many of the world's biggest brands — including The GAP, Rocket Mortgage, SoFi, Sutter Health, and SoftBank — to transform how they serve customers and grow their businesses. We are primarily an in-person company based in San Francisco, with growing offices across North America, Europe, and Asia.
We are guided by a set of values that are at the core of our actions and define our culture: Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Intensity, and a commitment to balancing Family along the way. These values are the foundation of our work, and we are committed to upholding them in everything we do.
Our co-founders are Bret Taylor https://www.linkedin.com/in/brettaylor/ and Clay Bavor https://www.linkedin.com/in/claybavor/. Bret currently serves as Board Chair of OpenAI. Previously, he was co-CEO of Salesforce (which had acquired the company he founded, Quip) and CTO of Facebook. Bret was also one of Google's earliest product managers and co-creator of Google Maps. Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- GTM technical expert: Design and demo Sierra’s incredible Agent product, offering technical solutions to solve for our customer’s needs, and answering technical questions about our solutions.
- Cross-functional work: You will work directly with our Sales, Product and Agent Engineering teams to both drive our GTM function, as well as continuously improve our Agents through our customer-driven product development philosophy.
- Lead & support our customers: As a GTM and technical leader in the earliest conversations with our future customers, you will both understand and anticipate their needs to continue our industry-leading AI solution.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- 5-7+ years experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering or customer-facing technical sales.
- Past experience in demo building, and presenting, and working with customers or clients in the GTM function.
- Experience in relationship-building with potential customers, including executives and technical leaders.
- Experience in leading the sales process with Enterprise customers.
- Ability to connect a prospect’s specific business problems and Sierra’s solutions and explain them to both a technical and non-technical audience
- Ability to leverage AI tools efficiently as a regular part of your technical sales motion — discovery prep, solution design, demo and prototype building, technical proposals. With that, you know where these tools can help and where human judgment still is required. Importantly, you own the accuracy of anything you put in front of a customer, whether or not AI helped you build it. This ownership looks like us not saying "[AI tool of choice] built this", but "I built this with [AI tool of choice]."
- Bachelor's Degree or above; bonus if in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong English and Korean written and verbal communication
EVEN BETTER...
- Experience translating code, technical logic and user requirements to product and engineering requirements.
OUR VALUES
- Trust: We build trust with our customers with our accountability, empathy, quality, and responsiveness. We build trust in AI by making it more accessible, safe, and useful. We build trust with each other by showing up for each other professionally and personally, creating an environment that enables all of us to do our best work.
- Customer Obsession: We deeply understand our customers’ business goals and relentlessly focus on driving outcomes, not just technical milestones. Everyone at the company knows and spends time with our customers. When our customer is having an issue, we drop everything and fix it.
- Craftsmanship: We get the details right, from the words on the page to the system architecture. We have good taste. When we notice something isn’t right, we take the time to fix it. We are proud of the products we produce. We continuously self-reflect to continuously self-improve.
- Intensity: We know we don’t have the luxury of patience. We play to win. We care about our product being the best, and when it isn’t, we fix it. When we fail, we talk about it openly and without blame so we succeed the next time.
- Family: We know that balance and intensity are compatible, and we model it in our actions and processes. We are the best technology company for parents. We support and respect each other and celebrate each other’s personal and professional achievements.
WHAT WE OFFER
We want our benefits to reflect our values and offer the following to full-time employees:
- Flexible (unlimited) paid time off
- Medical, dental, and vision benefits for you and your family
- Life insurance and disability benefits
- Retirement plan dependent on country of employment
- Parental leave
- Fertility and family building benefits through Carrot
- Lunch, as well as delicious snacks and coffee to keep you energized

These benefits are further detailed in Sierra's policies, may vary by region, and are subject to change at any time, consistent with the terms of any applicable compensation or benefits plans. Eligible full-time employees can participate in Sierra's equity plans subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
BE YOU, WITH US
We're working to bring the transformative power of AI to every organization in the world. To do so, it is important to us that the diversity of our employees represents the diversity of our customers. We believe that our work and culture are better when we encourage, support, and respect different skills and experiences represented within our team. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't precisely match the job description. Descript's Research team builds the models behind the product's most distinctive features: Video Regenerate and lipsync, video translation, zero-shot voice and roomtone cloning, and Studio Sound. We don't build general-purpose generative models. We pick specific problems in the editing workflow and build specialized models for them. This isn't research for its own sake. Everything we build is meant to ship, and most of it has, going from prototype to a production feature used by millions of creators within months.
This role is focused on multimodal understanding: training models to perceive edited media the way a human video editor does. Underlord, our AI editing agent, reasons about a project largely through a textual representation of it. Giving it direct perception of the media it's working on is what will let it judge its own output and reason about the creative choices in an edit, not just the structure of a project. It's also an open research problem, since there's no settled way to represent or evaluate editorial craft, whether a cut lands or whether the pacing works. We have a unique dataset to work with.
Some recent work from the team:
Audio editing by latent inpainting
: regenerating a masked span of speech
Video Regenerate
: regenerating a speaker's lower face to match new or translated audio
Jumpcut Smoothing
: generating a bridge across a cut so the join plays like a continuous take
Anchored Tree Sampling
: tree-based imputation that bounds drift in long video generation
PoDAR
: disentangling power from semantics in audio latents to make them easier to model
More at
descript.com/research
.
What you'll do
Multimodal understanding:
build vision-language systems that let Descript's agentic editing features reason over the visual and audio content of a project.
Evaluation:
design the benchmarks and evals that make editorial quality measurable, and that balance quality against cost and latency.
Data:
build the datasets your work depends on, including synthetic data generation where real examples don't exist at scale.
Training:
train specialized models from scratch or fine-tune existing foundation models, whichever gets the capability we need.
Shipping:
take models from prototype to production with the agent and engineering teams.
Direction-setting:
identify the next research direction that should become a Descript feature, not just a paper. More senior candidates should expect to own this directly; more junior candidates will grow into it.
Publishing:
take your work to academic venues if you'd like. We support it, but it isn't a requirement of the role.
What you bring
Required
Proven ability to design and implement deep learning algorithms, demonstrated by publications, open-source work, or models you've shipped.
Strong programming skills and deep fluency in PyTorch.
A track record of generating new ideas in machine learning. You produce more ideas than you can implement, and once an experiment setup is established, you can run and evaluate many of them quickly rather than being bottlenecked on infrastructure.
Strong experimental judgment. You test ideas fast, and you're honest with yourself and the team about which ones don't pan out.
Clear written and verbal communication, including when a direction isn't working, so the team doesn't waste time following a lead that's already dead.
A PhD or Master's in deep learning or a related field, or equivalent experience. We care about the track record more than the credential.
At least one of the following must be true:
Lead or first author of an accepted publication in a top venue: CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, or similar.
Played a key role in shipping a production feature with deep learning as a core component.
More senior candidates (Senior and Staff) should also bring a track record of owning research direction rather than executing a plan handed to them, and experience mentoring or technically leading other researchers or engineers.
Where breadth helps
Direct experience in multimodal understanding is welcome but not required, and we don't require domain-specific expertise in computer vision or speech and audio. Our team spans both, and strong general deep learning ability transfers. We hire against the bar above, and then expect you to grow into the domain. Depth in any of these is a strong signal:
Vision-language models and multimodal understanding.
Generative modeling for video, audio, or images.
Post-training, fine-tuning, and RL on large foundation models.
Building evaluation systems for generative or agentic outputs where metrics resist clean definitions.
Taking a research idea through to a shipped, production-facing feature.
Compensation and benefits
Base salary range: $197,000–$262,500, plus equity and benefits. Final offer amounts will carefully consider multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise, location, and level, and may vary from the amount above.

• 8+ years of product management experience, including end-to-end strategy and roadmap ownership for Business-to-Business (B2B) Software as a Service (SaaS) products.
• Technical fluency with integrations, application programming interfaces (APIs), data pipelines, platform architecture, and the trade-offs involved in building for enterprise scale.
• Experience leading complex, multi-quarter initiatives across Product, Engineering, Design, Security, Privacy, and other cross-functional teams.
• Strong product discovery, problem framing, iterative validation, prioritization, and success measurement skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain recommendations, trade-offs, and risks to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with SaaS management, license management, IT asset management, identity and access management, cybersecurity, or other technically complex enterprise products.
• Experience with third-party SaaS ecosystems, including single sign-on (SSO), System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM), OAuth, audit logs, or similar integration patterns, as well as responsible AI-assisted product development.
What you can expect:
• Own the product strategy, roadmap, and prioritization for SaaS Manager’s platform modernization and enterprise readiness initiatives.
• Lead discovery with customers, internal partners, and data to identify the highest-impact enterprise problems and workflows.
• Determine how capabilities such as data ingestion, near-real-time processing, integrations, observability, and admin experiences should be sequenced to deliver customer value.
• Partner with Engineering and Design to evaluate architecture options, clarify requirements, and translate complex problems into shippable milestones.
• Define success metrics and work with Product Analytics and Data partners to measure reliability, adoption, customer impact, and business outcomes.
• Align multiple Product and Engineering teams around priorities, decisions, dependencies, and delivery risks.
• Coordinate launches, go-to-market readiness, customer feedback, and ongoing iteration as the product evolves.
USA-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $172,000 USD and $249,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
Canada-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $155,000 CAD and $225,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
At 1Password, we approach each individual's compensation with a promise of fair market value and internal equity commensurate with experience and specific skill set.
This posting is for an existing vacancy.
Our culture
At 1Password, we prioritize collaboration, clear and transparent communication, receptiveness to feedback, and alignment with our core values: keep it simple, lead with honesty, and put people first.
You’ll be part of a team that challenges the status quo, and is excited to experiment and iterate in search of the best solution. That said, 1Password is not for everyone https://blog.1password.com/inside-the-culture-powering-1passwords-next-chapter/. Our work is demanding, we strive for excellence, and the pace is fast. We need people who are keen to take on challenging problems, who seek feedback to grow, and who are driven to make an impact. If you're looking for a place where you can settle into a comfortable routine, this might not be the right fit for you. We’re looking for individuals who are proven experts in their fields, as well as those who are highly adaptable, can thrive in ambiguity and through change, are curious, and above all deliver results.
How we work with AI
We are committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology—including AI—to achieve our mission. We also understand that thinking critically about AI in its current forms will help us create better solutions for our customers and ourselves with its future forms, which will help us continue to close the gap between security and privacy and achieve our mission. We want team members at all levels to take the approach of actively learning AI best practices, identifying opportunities to apply AI in meaningful ways, and driving innovative solutions in their daily work. Embracing the future of AI isn't just encouraged—it's an essential part of how we will be successful at 1Password.
This approach extends to our hiring process—candidates are welcome to use AI tools responsibly and thoughtfully during the application process. To us, this means we do ask that you join live interviews without using AI tools so we can get to know how you communicate, solve problems, and collaborate with others.
Our approach to remote work
We believe in the power of remote work, but recognize that in-person connection is important to help us achieve our mission. While we are a remote-first company, travel for in-person engagement is a part of almost all roles, and we require our employees to be ready and willing to take part. Frequency will depend on role and responsibilities, and may include, but is not limited to: annual department-wide offsites, team meetings, and customer/industry events.
