About the Job:
Software powers the world, and LaunchDarkly empowers teams to deliver and control it safely. As a
Senior Backend Engineer
on the
Billing
team, you will own the systems that turn every plan, price, entitlement, and usage limit into revenue — checkout, subscription and entitlement APIs, usage metering, and the integrations to our billing, CRM, and finance systems. When billing is wrong, customers get the wrong product and we invoice the wrong amount. Correctness here is a commitment to our customers, not a nice-to-have.
You and your team will drive the modernization of our billing platform. Technologies include Go, TypeScript, Postgres, AWS, and Terraform. Exact tool match matters far less than deep backend judgment and a track record of safely changing systems that are not allowed to be wrong.
Responsibilities:
Design and build the systems that define our plans, pricing, entitlements, and limits, and expose them through our API.
Decompose billing from our monolith into services that are correct, testable, and independently deployable.
Own correctness end to end — usage metering, reconciliation, and the invoices and usage data customers see.
Operate what you build: SLOs, alerting, on-call, and fixing root causes rather than repeating mitigations.
Qualifications:
6+ years of professional software-engineering experience, with significant work on complex backend applications.
Experience decomposing a monolith
A track record on systems where correctness is non-negotiable, and the habits that come with it: idempotency, reconciliation, reversible migrations, and safe cutovers.
Proficiency in at least one backend language (Go, Rust, Python, etc.) and familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS or equivalent), plus strong production ownership including on-call.
Bonus
Billing, payments, or metering systems, or usage-based pricing.
Modeling entitlements, quotas, or multi-tenant limits.
Pay:
Target pay ranges based on Geographic Zones* for Level 4:
Zone 1:
San Francisco/Bay Area or NYC Metropolitan Area, Boston, Seattle
- $191,800 - $263,670**
Zone 2:
Irvine, LA, Monterey, Santa Barbara, Santa Rosa, Austin, Portland, Philadelphia, Chicago -
$172,600 - $237,270**
Zone 3:
All other US locations -
$
163,000 - $224,070
**
LaunchDarkly operates from a place of high trust and transparency; we are happy to state the pay range for our open roles to best align with your needs. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
*Within the United States, our geographic pay zones are defined by counties surrounding major metropolitan areas.
**Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), health, vision, and dental insurance, and mental health benefits in addition to salary.

About GiveDirectly
What if the most effective way to fight poverty was also the simplest: give people money and trust them to decide what they need?
Since 2011, GiveDirectly has proven that idea at scale. We’ve delivered more than $1B in cash directly to 2+ million people living in poverty and crisis across 15 countries, and rigorous research shows the results: healthier kids, stronger businesses, sturdier homes, and more resilient families and local economies. Cash is now widely recognized as one of the most scalable, cost-effective, and dignified forms of aid.
Our ambition goes beyond our own programs. We want cash to become the benchmark for aid, much as the index fund became the benchmark for investing, so that every aid dollar is held to one question:
is this doing more good than giving the money directly to people living in poverty?
We’re growing fast, and this is a rare and important moment to join.
We expect to hit $1B in revenue in 2026 with significant growth forecast for 2027. At the same time we are building a new technology stack and operating model designed for a roughly 10x change in scale, and we are actively pursuing partnerships with major funders to move even more money in bigger ways, to people who need it. We are known for our extensive integration of technology into field processes; our quantitative approach to performance measurement; and our commitment to rigorous, independent, experimental evaluation of our impact, with multiple Randomized Control Trials completed and others in progress.
How we work
Our team spans 20+ countries and 69 languages. Our culture is candid, analytical, and non-hierarchical. We expect high ownership and give people real responsibility early. Our values are central to how we hire, work, and grow, and they are deliberately opinionated:
Recipients first.
Recipients’ preferences come before those of donors or ourselves.
Team next.
We optimize for organizational success, not individual success.
Be proactively candid.
We say what we believe and share information openly.
Create positive energy.
We aim to be a source of energy for colleagues, not a drain.
Think rigorously; act quickly.
We reason from first principles, then act rather than debate.
Know yourself and grow.
We own our imperfections and seek feedback to grow.
Accept reality. Propose solutions.
We focus on what can change and bring solutions, not just problems.
Be productively ambitious.
We take risks for step-change impact, not incremental progress.
If they describe how you like to work and they energize you, this could be a great fit.

Identify and implement opportunities to use AI and other digital solutions to improve the scalability of operations.
Leadership to procurement, logistics and administration
Oversee Procurement & Administration function through the Office & Procurement Manager, identifying bottlenecks and improving systems.
Develop and support implementation of a procurement strategy to ensure an efficient, responsive, high-quality, and resilient supply of goods and services.
Lead logistics and fleet management, ensuring efficient and reliable transport and distribution across Mozambique's operations.
Oversee budgeting and procurement planning to ensure needs are forecast and operations run smoothly.

Ensure operations meet GiveDirectly's global policy standards and local regulatory requirements, adapting for the Mozambique context.
Work with GiveDirectly's Corporate Audit function to support internal audits and build systems for a strong control environment across assets, inventory, fleet, procurement and office security.
Closely collaborate with Finance teams for timely, efficient payment processes, facilitate external audits, and ensure compliance.

Drive best practice across recruitment, learning and development, performance management, and HR operations.
What you'll bring
Exceptional alignment with GiveDirectly Values and active demonstration of our core competencies: emotional intelligence, problem solving, project management, follow-through, and fostering inclusivity.
Significant experience (6+ years) in operations management, with strong expertise in procurement and logistics.
A track record of strengthening operational functions – taking systems from ad hoc toward structured, compliant, and scalable.
Strong financial and budget management skills, with experience managing operational budgets and driving cost-effectiveness.
Experience managing and developing teams, including recruiting and mentoring staff.
Experience overseeing or working closely with HR functions (recruitment, performance management, learning and development, culture building).
Comfort in a fast-paced and changing environment that involves a degree of ambiguity and requires figuring things out with limited precedent.
Highly analytical with a strong attention to detail and a bias toward data-driven decision-making.
Familiarity with INGO standards, donor compliance frameworks, internal controls, and audit processes.
Strong cross-cultural communication skills and experience working effectively in matrixed organisations.
Experience and aptitude leveraging new technologies and AI to advance operational effectiveness. Comfort with an agile and iterative approach.
Knowledge of Mozambique's regulatory environment for NGO operations, procurement, and employment law is an advantage.
Language Requirement: English fluency required; Portuguese fluency is a plus.

WHO WE ARE
Help Scout started in 2011 with a simple premise: support software should treat customers like people, not tickets. 3+ billion conversations later, more than 10,000 companies use Help Scout to grow relationships with customers of all types, from clients to patients and beyond.
Now we’re in a new chapter: not only building AI that gives teams more space to focus on the customer experience, but also reimagining how we operate in an AI-native world. That means shipping and learning faster, without compromising on craft. Great work here carries a strong opinion and sweats the details, regardless of the tools we use to drive it.
We’ve been a fully remote team https://articles.helpscout.com/blog/remote-culture/ since day one, with 120+ teammates now all over the world. It’s a culture where you’ll be trusted to take ownership, stay curious, and raise the quality of work around you. It comes with clear expectations and a team that will push you to do some of the best work of your career.
If that kind of challenge gives you energy, we’d love to meet you.
YOUR IMPACT
Help Scout has earned something most software companies never get: genuine trust. 10,000+ businesses use us because we've always believed that customer relationships are the business, and that every interaction should feel like it came from someone who cares. That trust took a decade to build, and now it's the foundation for something bigger.
The support industry is changing shape. AI will take on more of the tedious work so humans can lean into the relationship part. At Help Scout, the place where that relationship actually happens is the Conversations product group, which spans two product lines. Inbox is the workspace: every channel and every conversation in one place, built for the people who spend their whole day inside it. Copilot is AI working alongside them: drafts ready to review, context at their fingertips, and the tedious parts handled so every reply is faster and better.
Conversations is the most-used surface we have. This is where every user spends most of their day, so speed, reliability, and craft are the product. It's also where the rest of the platform becomes real: Agent hands conversations to humans at the right moment, customer context shows up right where the work happens, and every one of those moments either builds trust or spends it. You'll be accountable for bringing it all to life with clarity and impact.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You'll own the Conversations product group end to end: vision, roadmap, monetization, and results for the Inbox and Copilot product lines. You'll report to Scott Rocher, our Chief Product Officer, and you'll be accountable for the revenue growth of the group. This is a player/coach role.
Inbox and Copilot are the surfaces our customers touch most, the core of the business today and the front door to everything we build next. You'll do the strategic product work on them yourself: deciding what needs to get built next, how the workspace and its AI evolve together, and where investment in craft pays off. As the group grows, you'll hire and manage a team of PMs.
Note: This role is open to US-based applicants only.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Set the vision and strategy for the Conversations group, and decide how Inbox and Copilot evolve together as one experience where AI makes every support pro faster without breaking their flow.
- Drive the Inbox roadmap hands-on: the workspace where every channel comes together and where our users spend their time in the product. This surface is held to a bar where speed, reliability, and polish are a differentiator.
- Drive the Copilot roadmap hands-on: integrations, contextual summaries, suggestions, and in-the-moment assistance that make each person on a support team meaningfully better at their job.
- Own how your products are monetized. Conversations spans seats and AI usage, and you'll design the packaging that makes each seat more valuable as Copilot does more. You'll collaborate with partners across Help Scout to model the impact of the products you ship.
- Partner deeply with the Autonomy group. Significant parts of Copilot run on the agent platform, and likewise, Agent hands conversations to humans in your workspace. The seams between the two groups are owned jointly, and making them invisible to customers is part of the job.
- Spend real time with customers, understanding how support pros and their leaders actually work, where AI helps, and where it gets in the way
- Partner with GTM and CS so the Conversations story is clear, the adoption motion is tight, and customer feedback loops back into the roadmap
- Build and manage the Conversations PM team as it grows, coaching for judgment and raising the bar for product craft across the group
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- You've owned a core product at scale, the kind people spend their whole workday in, and you're as fluent in the commercial side of product as you are in features and user experience
- You've shipped AI-powered products and you understand how they succeed and fail
- You collaborate well across ownership lines. Copilot ships on technology the Autonomy group builds, and you know how to co-own a product surface with a peer and keep the seams invisible to customers
- You think in outcomes. Time to resolution, drafts accepted, teams that get more efficient as they use more of Help Scout .
- You care about craft. You notice the details that make daily-use software feel fast, calm, and reliable, and you hold a roadmap accountable to them
- You have strong monetization instincts. You can package a product line that spans seats and outcomes, and explain the tradeoffs.
- You've managed product managers before and still love doing the work yourself. You know how to coach without taking over, and you know when a decision is yours to make
- You're data self-sufficient. You pull your own data, run your own analyses, and use numbers to pressure-test direction
- You're technically fluent enough to build genuine trust with engineers. You can hold a meaningful conversation about system architecture and make better decisions because of it
- You're fluent with AI tools and treat them as part of your craft, for research synthesis, strategy testing, rapid prototyping, and customer signal analysis. You have a point of view on where these tools are heading and how they're changing the shape of product work
- You understand that when execution is cheap, judgment is the bottleneck. Your highest-leverage hours go to strategy and prioritization, defining what's next and what's not
- You're an excellent writer. Help Scout runs on writing, and you make your thinking visible in one-pagers, briefs, and narratives that move decisions forward
- You've worked in B2B SaaS and understand the difference between building for support teams and building for end consumers

Achieving our true potential — collectively and individually — requires constant progress and forward momentum. By creating a culture of curiosity and openness, we aim to create a safe space for mistakes, the ability to identify them quickly, and use them to get better.
OWN THE OUTCOME
Own the outcome means taking full responsibility for the results of your work, decisions, and contributions. It reflects a mindset of accountability, proactiveness, and follow-through. If you “own the outcome,” you don’t just complete tasks, you ensure your work leads to meaningful results, and take initiative to solve problems rather than passing them along.

ABOUT US
Ruby Labs is a leading tech company that creates and operates innovative consumer products. We offer a diverse range of opportunities across the health, education, and entertainment industries. Our innovative teams are driving the future of consumer-led products, and we're always looking for passionate individuals to join us. Learn more about our story at: https://rubylabs.com/about-us/
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a highly systematic Senior Creative Producer to own the ad creative engine for one of our core D2C subscription products in the consumer AI category. You will be fully responsible for the full concept-to-performance loop, generating the angles, driving production volume, running structured tests, performing competitor research, and turning creative-level data into the next round of winning concepts.
This is a high-impact role. Your ad creatives will be the primary performance lever: your work moves CTR, CVR, CPA, and ROAS directly, and you are accountable for those numbers alongside the User Acquisition team. The bar is high and so is the upside; performance here is directly and significantly rewarded.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creative Strategy & Concepting
- Own the creative angle strategy: Define which hooks, pains, and value propositions get tested next.
- Develop creative concepts: demo-led ads, UGC-style video, statics, and AI-generated formats.
- Translate product features and capabilities into concrete, scroll-stopping propositions for target audiences.
- Build and maintain a documented library of proven angles, hooks, and creative patterns.
PRODUCTION & TESTING VELOCITY
- Own the creative pipeline across ad networks (Google, YouTube, Meta, Snapchat, TikTok, Applovin, etc) shipping new concepts every week.
- Structure systematic A/B testing frameworks, isolate variables, and analyze the results to bring solid conclusions.
- Produce clear creative briefs for designers to execute high-performing concepts aligned with the brand.
PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS & ITERATION
- Own creative-level metrics: hook rate, hold rate, CTR, CVR, CPA, and ROAS.
- Generate testable hypotheses from performance data and retire underperforming angles quickly.
- Identify winning patterns, codify why they work, and scale them into new concept batches.
- Deliver structured creative performance reviews with clear recommendations for the next cycle.
MARKET RESEARCH & COLLABORATION
- Run systematic competitor creative research across ad libraries and creative intelligence tools.
- Track emerging formats, platform policy shifts, and creative trends in the consumer AI category.
- Communicate daily with User Acquisition Managers, taking briefs on which angles need more volume.
QUALIFICATIONS
MUST-HAVE EXPERIENCE
- 4+ years producing performance ad creative for D2C or subscription consumer products
- Proven track record of high-volume output, shipping and live-testing multiple new concepts weekly.
- Deep working knowledge of the major ad network ecosystems (Google, Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, etc).
- Demonstrated fluency with an AI production stack across image, video, voice, and scripting tools.
- Ability to read creative-level performance data independently and act on it without an analyst in the loop.
- Experience building structured creative testing frameworks, not ad-hoc one-off tests.
- Strong portfolio of ads with verifiable performance results. (Applications must include a CV and a portfolio of ad creative you personally produced).
LEADERSHIP ATTRIBUTES
- Systematic operator. You build repeatable creative processes, not one-time wins.
- Fully accountable for performance outcomes, not just delivery of assets.
- Fast and decisive under volume. Comfortable killing your own concepts when data says so.
- Treats User Acquisition as a working partner, not a downstream recipient of files.
LOCATION
Ruby Labs operates within the CET (Central European Time) zone. Applicants from any country are welcome to apply for the position as long as they are located within approximately ± 4 hours of CET. This ensures optimal collaboration and communication during working hours.

ABOUT BASETEN
Baseten powers mission-critical inference for the world's most dynamic AI companies, like Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma, and Writer. By uniting applied AI research, flexible infrastructure, and seamless developer tooling, we enable companies operating at the frontier of AI to bring cutting-edge models into production. We're growing quickly and recently raised our $1.5B Series F https://www.baseten.co/blog/announcing-our-series-f/, led by Altimeter Capital, Conviction Partners, and Spark Capital. Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to ship AI products.
THE ROLE
Baseten is seeking talented and experienced Software Engineers to join our Platform team within the Infrastructure organization. As a member of Baseten's Platform Team, you will own the systems that let every engineer at Baseten prove their code works before it reaches production. Our product runs mission-critical AI inference for customers who measure downtime in dollars per second, which means our internal bar for correctness, performance, and failure tolerance has to be exceptional.
Your focus is the full testing stack: fast and reliable unit test tooling, integration harnesses that spin up realistic environments on demand, load and performance testing for GPU-backed inference workloads, and resilience testing that deliberately breaks things so our customers never have to find out what happens when a node dies mid-request. This is a builder role with org-wide leverage. You won't be writing tests for other teams — you'll be building the frameworks, harnesses, and feedback loops that make writing good tests the path of least resistance, and you'll set the standards for what "well-tested" means at Baseten.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own Baseten's testing strategy end to end — define the standards, the tiers, and the tooling that engineering teams build against.
- Build and maintain unit, integration, load and performance testing frameworks
- Design end to end test infrastructure that provisions realistic dependencies on demand — ephemeral Kubernetes namespaces, containerized service dependencies, etc.
- Build resilience and chaos testing capabilities: fault injection, network partition and latency simulation, pod and node failure scenarios, dependency degradation, and automated verification that our systems degrade gracefully and recover.
- Attack test suite reliability head-on — flake detection and quarantine, test impact analysis and selective execution, parallelization, and aggressive reduction of end-to-end CI wall time.
- Build observability into the testing layer itself: coverage reporting, test health dashboards, failure triage tooling, and clear signals about which areas of the codebase are under-tested.
- Create project templates and shared libraries so new services start with a complete testing setup on day one.
- Partner directly with product and infrastructure teams — embed where needed, understand their hardest testing problems, and turn one-off solutions into platform capabilities.
- Mentor engineers across the org on testing practice and raise the collective bar through code review, documentation, and internal advocacy.
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong proficiency in Go and/or Python, with hands-on experience building test tooling and libraries used by other engineers.
- Deep experience with testing frameworks and their internals — pytest, Go's testing package, testify, testcontainers, or equivalents — including the ability to extend them, not just use them.
- Experience designing integration test infrastructure for distributed systems, including ephemeral environment provisioning and dependency management.
- Practical experience with load and performance testing tools (k6, Locust, Vegeta, JMeter, Gatling, or similar) and the judgment to interpret results and drive action from them.
- Solid Kubernetes and Docker fundamentals — you can build test infrastructure that runs on and tests against real cluster environments.
- Advanced understanding of CI/CD, including how to keep large test suites fast, deterministic, and trustworthy at scale.
- A track record of measurably improving testing culture on an engineering team — you have opinions on what to test, what not to test, and where the ROI actually is.
- Are excited about building foundational infrastructure and are comfortable working independently on ambiguous, high-impact technical challenges
BENEFITS
- Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
- (U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents
- Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!)
- Paid parental leave
- Fertility and family-building stipend through Carrot
- (U.S. only) Company-facilitated 401(k)
- Exposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities.
Apply now to embark on a rewarding journey in shaping the future of AI! If you are a motivated individual with a passion for machine learning and a desire to be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team, we would love to hear from you.
At Baseten, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. We provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, genetic information, disability, or veteran status.
We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable law (by example, the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, where applicable).
