We are looking for
Lead ML Engineer -LLM Inference & NLP
.
Your main tasks will be:
Speed up and scale LLM inference in production: SGLang, KV and prefix caching, batching, quantization, speculative decoding
Run distributed inference for very large models (up to 1T+ parameters) across multi-GPU and multi-node setups
Benchmark new GPU servers and hardware, bring them into production and adapt our serving code to them
Lead the NLP and CV teams technically: review experiments, set direction, and step in early when something is heading the wrong way
Train and fine-tune the language models, and improve the agent harnesses and chat algorithm that run on them
Track cutting-edge research and open-source work in inference and post-training, and turn it into the ML roadmap
Collaborate closely with the validation, content, and dataset preparation teams to design experiments and measure model quality
We expect from you:
Deep hands-on experience optimizing LLM inference in production with SGLang, vLLM, or TensorRT-LLM
Experience with distributed inference or training of large models: MoE, tensor/expert/pipeline parallelism, multi-node GPU clusters
Strong understanding of what makes inference fast: KV cache, attention kernels, batching, quantization, GPU profiling
Experience training and fine-tuning LLMs, including post-training (RLHF, DPO, or similar)
Proven technical leadership: you've guided engineers through reviews, mentoring and technical decisions while still writing code yourself
Proficiency with PyTorch, transformers, and related libraries
Experience at AI-focused startups or companies (Character AI, OpenAI, and similar is a strong plus)
Backend engineering experience (Python, Go, C#) and knowledge of scalable deployment systems is a significant advantage
Advanced English or Russian
Nice to have:
CUDA or Triton kernel development
A computer vision background. We also welcome strong CV leads who have accelerated large generative image or video models
Experience with multimodal LLMs
First-author papers or notable open-source work, e.g. contributions to SGLang, vLLM, or post-training libraries
A degree in CS, math, or physics from a strong program (MSc or PhD)

Head of Sales
.
Your main tasks will be:
Bring on influencers and models: find them, negotiate, agree terms, launch.
Get to agencies and open up their model pools.
Find and integrate partnerships, both technology and promo automation.
Run the flow of promo material from our internal team for every model: what's needed, how much, by when.
Own the pipeline and the forecast. Revenue and cash flow for the direction sit with you.
Set priorities and grow volume partner by partner.
Develop the line-up: new SKUs, work on content cost.
Rase creator’s monetization on the platform.
We expect from you:
You've negotiated and closed with talent and agencies yourself: terms, rev share, exclusivity.
Your own network inside agencies and among top creators. Not a list you'd have to build from zero.
You understand creator-platform economics: rev-share models, creator LTV, the unit economics of onboarding a partner.
You build a pipeline, forecast against it, and report on the direction without being chased.
You work with Revenue, ARPPU and partner retention as numbers you act on.
You can run promo production from the client side: brief the internal team, accept the work, hold the deadlines.
Working knowledge of AI tools for creators, photo and video generation.
Superset or an equivalent for dashboards. Excel at pivot-table and modelling level.
English C1.
You build long relationships rather than closing a deal and walking away.
You read what motivates different creators. Some want money, some want reach, some want to be handled carefully. You can tell which is which.
You're comfortable sitting between the partner outside and production inside.
You find your own channels. The market is closed and there won't be much coming to you.
You stay calm when something goes wrong and keep both the partner and the team.
Discipline in reporting: forecast, actual, and an honest explanation of the gap.

We’re training and deploying frontier models for enterprises who are building AI systems. We believe that our work is instrumental to the widespread adoption of AI and we are looking for folks that want to be part of that.
We obsess over what we build. Each one of us is responsible for contributing to increasing the capabilities of our models and the value they drive for our customers. Cohere is a team of researchers, engineers, designers, and more, who are all passionate about their craft.
We are a global technology company headquartered in Toronto with key offices in London, New York City, San Francisco, Montreal, Paris, Berlin and Seoul. Join us!
Why This Role?
We're seeking an experienced Program Manager to join Cohere's customer-facing Program Management team, with a focus on public sector and defence accounts in Europe, particularly in Germany. This is a highly specialised role requiring an individual who understands technical program delivery, the technical complexity of frontier AI models and the unique requirements of government and defence organisations.
You will be the critical bridge between our cutting-edge AI capabilities and the specific needs of Ministries, Agencies, and defence organisations across Europe. You'll navigate complex procurement processes, stringent security requirements, data sovereignty concerns, and regulatory compliance while ensuring our customers successfully deploy and scale our AI solutions.
In this role, you'll collaborate with our Strategic Customer team, Applied ML (AML) Engineering, Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE), Platform, Product, and Go-to-Market teams, serving as the technical program lead and trusted advisor for our most sensitive and high-impact government and defence engagements.
Location: Germany
Eligibility: This individual must be a German citizen living in Germany and fluent in German, enabling immediate engagement with critical defense and national security customers.
Security Clearance: German security clearance is not required, but is a strong nice-to-have.
What You'll Do
Customer Program Leadership:
- Own end-to-end technical program delivery for Germany and broader European public sector and defence customers, from initial deployment through production scaling
- Serve as the primary technical program point of contact for customers, building trusted relationships with departmental CIOs, IT directors, and technical teams
- Translate complex public sector and defence requirements (security, compliance, accessibility, bilingualism, data sovereignty) into actionable engineering plans
- Navigate complex procurement processes, RFP responses, and contractual technical obligations.
Strategic Communication:
- Provide clear, timely, and objective communication across Cohere's engineering organisation, customer stakeholders, pubic sector and defence leadership
- Translate between AI/ML technical concepts and government-appropriate language for decision-makers who may not have deep technical backgrounds
- Present technical roadmaps and status updates to senior stakeholders including departmental executives
- Represent Cohere's technical capabilities in sensitive government and defence contexts.
Complex Program Management:
- Create and manage project schedules that account for public sector and defence timelines, security review processes, and approval cycles
- Identify and manage dependencies across government departments, security authorities, cloud service providers, and internal Cohere teams
- Navigate risks unique to government and defence deployments: privacy compliance, security, political and regulatory, technology and infrastructure.
- Drive alignment between product development priorities and specific customer requirements.
Technical Delivery & Execution:
- Ensure on-time delivery of AI solutions that meet security, privacy, accessibility, and performance standards
- Coordinate technical work across multiple teams: model customisation, security hardening, integration with government systems, bilingual support
- Establish governance checkpoints appropriate for high-stakes government and defence deployments
- Problem-solve complex technical challenges in air-gapped, on-premises, or highly regulated environments.
You May Be a Good Fit If:
Required Experience:
- 6+ years of experience as a customer-facing Technical or Engineering Program Manager in AI/ML consulting, technology transformation, or enterprise software delivery.
- Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management.
- Experience working with government, defence, or heavily regulated customers.
- Proven track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder technical programs with stringent compliance requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree or technical certs a plus.
Technical Background:
- Strong understanding of enterprise software deployment architectures (cloud, on-premises, hybrid, air-gapped)
- Working knowledge of or experience with modern AI: LLMs, agentic systems, MCP, RAG, fine-tuning, evals, and responsible AI would be a strong differentiator
