How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.

ABOUT BASETEN
Baseten powers mission-critical inference for the world's most dynamic AI companies, like Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma, and Writer. By uniting applied AI research, flexible infrastructure, and seamless developer tooling, we enable companies operating at the frontier of AI to bring cutting-edge models into production. We're growing quickly and recently raised our $1.5B Series F https://www.baseten.co/blog/announcing-our-series-f/, led by Altimeter Capital, Conviction Partners, and Spark Capital. Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to ship AI products.
THE ROLE
The AI ecosystem is being built by many companies at once: model labs creating increasingly capable models, hyperscalers providing infrastructure and distribution, developers building new AI products, and a growing ecosystem of tools that agents can use.
Baseten sits at the center of that ecosystem as the inference platform developers use to run AI in production. Partner Engineering is how we connect those worlds.
As one of the first engineers focused on Partner Engineering at Baseten, you'll build the technical foundation behind some of our most strategic relationships. You'll work directly with engineers at leading model labs, hyperscalers, developer platforms, and AI infrastructure companies to turn partnerships into products developers can actually use.
You don't need a previous partner engineering title. We want an engineer who enjoys working directly with another company's technical team and carrying the resulting product decisions into production at Baseten.
WHAT YOU'LL BUILD
- Bring new capabilities into Baseten. Integrate a search or developer-tools provider into Baseten so an agent can call the service during inference, with consistent authentication, execution, failure handling, observability, and usage reporting.
- Take Baseten into new distribution channels. Integrate Baseten with a hyperscaler, cloud marketplace, or developer platform so customers can discover models, provision access, and run inference through a partner's product while Baseten handles the underlying serving infrastructure.
- Launch models with leading model labs. Build the infrastructure that lets developers discover and run a model lab's newest models on Baseten, including access controls, usage attribution, metering, and the systems required to support commercial agreements such as revenue sharing.
- Create the partner platform itself. Identify the primitives common across these integrations and turn them into reusable platform capabilities so we can launch increasingly sophisticated partnerships without reinventing the stack every time.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
- Lead strategic partner integrations from technical discovery and architecture through implementation, launch, and production operation.
- Work directly with partner engineering teams to design APIs, define system boundaries, resolve cross-company dependencies, and make architectural decisions.
- Write substantial production code and own the systems you build.
- Build reusable partner-platform primitives across identity, provisioning, inference, model serving, metering, billing, and other Baseten platform capabilities.
- Own technical delivery across Baseten and partner teams, including milestones, dependencies, risks, and architectural tradeoffs.
- Work closely with Partnerships and Product to understand where the ecosystem is going and translate emerging opportunities into platform investments.
- Raise the bar for integration reliability through strong API contracts, testing, observability, safe rollouts, and thoughtful failure handling.
- Help define what Partner Engineering becomes at Baseten as both the team and our ecosystem grow.
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience designing, shipping, and operating large-scale distributed systems in production. You can explain the architectural choices you made and how they meet customers' needs at scale.
- A record of leading ambiguous engineering projects across teams while contributing substantial production code yourself.
- Sound judgment about API design, service boundaries, and failure handling. You've built systems that uphold API contracts and meet measurable service-level objectives that customers and partners depend on.
- Experience turning requests from customers, partners, or other engineering teams into a defined technical scope. You can explain a constraint, propose an alternative, and document the decision.
- Comfort working across application code and cloud infrastructure, including debugging behavior that crosses service boundaries.
NICE TO HAVE
- Product integrations with cloud providers, developer platforms, or other infrastructure companies.
- Usage metering, marketplace infrastructure, or commerce systems that support relationships among multiple parties.
- Model serving or other artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure used in production.
BENEFITS
- Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
- (U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents
- Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!)
- Paid parental leave
- Fertility and family-building stipend through Carrot
- (U.S. only) Company-facilitated 401(k)
- Exposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities.
Apply now to embark on a rewarding journey in shaping the future of AI! If you are a motivated individual with a passion for machine learning and a desire to be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team, we would love to hear from you.
At Baseten, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. We provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, genetic information, disability, or veteran status.
We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable law (by example, the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, where applicable).

THE ROLE
The largest, most demanding enterprises run on Baseten, and they bring exacting requirements for how people, services, and agents access the platform. This is the founding role for our identity and authorization team within enterprise engineering. You'll own the identity and access layer of the Baseten platform: the authorization model, credential systems, and admin experiences that enterprise IT teams use to govern access for organizations like Harvey, HubSpot, and Notion.
You'll design and build Baseten's fine-grained authorization system from the ground up to support the workflows customers depend on today while giving them cleaner, more precise ways to manage access as the platform grows. Authorization at Baseten requires low-latency permission checks at high request volume, consistent contracts and behaviors across the product suite, and strong security guarantees for mission-critical, highly regulated workloads.
EXAMPLE INITIATIVES
Recent and upcoming work in this area:
- Fine-grained authorization for users, service accounts, and agentic workloads: per-resource permissions at the organization, team, and workload scope to support both common workflows and complex enterprise access policies
- Programmatic authentication allowing high-compliance customers to connect service principles securely via short-lived, workload-based credentials
- Agent credentials that grant an agent exactly the access it needs for the given task and nothing more
- Enterprise identity lifecycle including single sign-on, SCIM provisioning, and per-organization session expiry policies
- Admin controls for centralized visibility, auditability, and governance over credentials, roles, and access
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead identity and authorization projects from problem definition and technical design through implementation, launch, and iteration.
- Design authorization and credential models that support critical user workflows today and can be safely extended as the platform evolves.
- Partner with product, design, and customer-facing teams to turn enterprise security requirements into durable technical solutions.
- Establish engineering practices for quality, security, observability, and operational ownership.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship as the team grows.
REQUIREMENTS
- 4-5+ years of experience building production backend systems, including hands-on design and implementation of a product authorization system: per-resource or per-object permissions, relationship-based access control, a policy engine, or a fine-grained authorization system in the style of Zanzibar, OpenFGA, SpiceDB, or Cedar.
- Demonstrated end-to-end ownership: you've taken a system from first design through implementation, production rollout, and iteration with users.
- Experience developing and operating multi-tenant systems at scale, where authorization checks sit in the request path and latency and consistency matter.
- Comfort working across the full stack, from product and application code to cloud and Kubernetes infrastructure.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with Python and Go.
- Experience running an OpenFGA, SpiceDB, or similar deployment in production, beyond a proof of concept.
- Working knowledge of OAuth, OIDC, and SCIM at the protocol level.
BENEFITS
- Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
- (U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents
- Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!)
- Paid parental leave
- Fertility and family-building stipend through Carrot

Here at Humanoid, we believe in a future where robots amplify human potential. That’s why we’ve set out on a mission to build the world’s most capable, commercially-scalable, and safe humanoid robots. We’re bringing that mission to life with HMND‑01 - our rapidly developed humanoid platform being deployed in real industrial environments - and we’re growing the team to take it even further.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Senior CMF Designer to own colour, materials, and finish across our robot programmes.
As the Industrial robot moves from Beta into Gamma production, CMF definition becomes a dedicated, full-time responsibility.
Your primary focus will be the Industrial wheeled robot, covering tooling-ready specification, supplier management, and production sample governance. You will also contribute early CMF thinking to our other robot platforms as they develop at the early stages.
You will be the first dedicated CMF hire at Humanoid, working within a multi-discipline Design Team across multiple robot platforms.
What You’ll Do
- Own CMF direction across all robot programmes, from early concept through to production-ready specification.
- Develop CMF strategy as an integrated part of the team's overall design direction; working with design leads to ensure material and finish decisions reflect and reinforce the product's broader design intent.
- Develop and maintain material libraries, finish standards, and sample archives relevant to robotics manufacturing contexts.
- Define and document CMF specifications with the precision required for engineering handoff, colour, texture, durability, finish codes specifications etc…
- Work closely with Industrial Designers, Fashion Designers and UX Designers to ensure material decisions reinforce, not contradict, the product's form language and functional context.
- Collaborate with manufacturing partners and suppliers to validate material feasibility within programme timelines and cost envelopes.
- Lead CMF reviews, presenting direction clearly to design leads and senior stakeholders.
- Contribute to garment/soft goods material decisions where CMF and wearable design intersect.
- Build the CMF process from the ground up ; standards, workflows, review cadences & governance.
We’re Looking For
- A designer who treats material choice as a communication decision.
- 7+ years of CMF experience, ideally with complex manufactured products: robotics, automotive, consumer electronics, medical devices, or industrial equipment.
- Deep knowledge of materials, surface finishes, coatings, and manufacturing processes relevant to high-spec electromechanical products.
- Experience producing CMF specifications for engineering teams, not just mood boards for stakeholders.
- The confidence to defend a material direction and the rigour to back it up with process, technical trade offs and physical evidence.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity as you'll be defining the function as much as executing within it.
- Familiarity with soft goods or wearable materials is a plus, not a prerequisite.
- Based in London, 5 days a week.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Competitive equity: stock options with meaningful upside as we scale.
- 30+ paid days off, including 23 days of annual leave, all UK bank holidays, and additional company closure days (including Christmas–New Year shutdown).
- Private healthcare, including virtual and in-person care.
- Pension scheme with 8% total contribution (5% employee, 3% employer) on full earnings.
- Free daily breakfast, catered lunch, and snacks in-office.
- Work at the frontier - collaborate daily with world-class engineers, researchers, and product experts building the next generation of AI and humanoid robotics.
- Real ownership - direct access to founding leadership, meaningful input on product direction, and the ability to drive key initiatives from day one.

We're Novakid, the next-generation early English learning environment that allows kids around the world to learn English efficiently, through play and fully remote practice with certified professional teachers.
Think cutting edge technology like AI-powered games and training apps that promote English speaking and comprehension based on the use of authentic content in English language. Think certified professionals with years and decades of expertise in children's psychology and learning methods.
“Our Vision is to change the way ESL children learn English by making it more engaging, elective, fun, and accessible. The ability to master the English language from an early age is critical to achieving a path of greater success and fulfillment, socially, emotionally, academically and professionally.” – Max Azarov, Founder
About the Role
Novakid is investing heavily in its brand, and we want films that move people. We’re looking for an AI Film Director to create brand films with a movie-level finish, using the latest generative AI tools.
You’ll take each film from brief to final master: from taking the brief to storyboard, AI generation, edit, colour and finishing. You’ll work with our sound engineer on music and sound. Our video production team covers Novakid’s day-to-day content; your focus is our hero brand films, made for families around the globe (motion graphics and 3D/compositing chops are a real plus). This is a full-time, hands-on role in the Creative team, reporting to our Head of Creative.
Key Responsibilities
Direct and deliver cinematic brand films from brief to final master
Turn briefs from the Head of Creative and Brand Director into emotional, story-driven concepts that stay true to Novakid’s brand voice and visual identity
Create and own Novakid’s AI film style guide (characters, worlds, look and feel) so characters and style stay consistent from film to film
Refine AI output by hand (retouching, compositing, redrawing, colour grading) until every frame has a movie-level finish
Work with our sound engineer on music, sound design and voice-over, including localized versions for our key markets
Plan each film’s schedule and budget (tools, generation credits, freelancers when needed) and deliver on time
Keep up with AI film tools and bring in new techniques that raise quality or speed
Follow responsible AI practices with our Legal team: clear AI labelling, consent for any real person’s likeness or voice, and commercial rights to everything we publish
Strong design background alongside video production and AI prompting skills.
Can build automated content-production workflows using AI agents, APIs or workflow tools.
Own the voice acting and dubbing pipeline: work with an external casting/dubbing agency, or with per-language actor leads who source and manage further talent for their own language, to cast, record and quality-check localized voice content, attending recordings yourself to protect creative and brand quality
Explore where AI voice generation fits for the existing video editors on lower-complexity projects, and build a lightweight workflow so they can use it without pulling in the full unit
Integrate the AI Video Production Unit into the wider creative organization, with clean handoffs to the video editors team and the Lead Producer so both tracks reinforce each other instead of duplicating work
What you’ll have…
A portfolio of complete AI films, not just a showreel, with consistent characters and coherent storytelling
Proven experience directing cinematic, emotionally resonant brand or narrative films, combining traditional film craft with current, hands-on AI video experience (image-to-video, AI-assisted VFX)
Strong visual fundamentals: composition, colour, lighting and storytelling, with a design background and the eye to judge and fix AI output
Editing and finishing skills: Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve (including colour grading), plus Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects for fixes and compositing
Motion graphics and 3D/compositing skills (e.g. Cinema 4D, Maya, Nuke, After Effects) are a strong plus
Experience leading a small technical-creative team (e.g. prompt engineers, a cinematography lead, or similar hybrid creative/technical roles)
Familiarity with voice acting and dubbing production, whether managing an external casting agency or per-language talent leads
Able to deliver a film a month on your own: organised, reliable on deadlines, and comfortable setting up a process from scratch, since this is a new discipline at Novakid
Collaborative: you’ll work closely with Brand, our sound engineer and the video production team
Comfortable defining process as you go, this is a new production discipline at Novakid, not an established playbook
English fluency; other languages are a real plus given the multi-market, multi-language scope of this role
What Success Looks Like (first 6 months)
First 3 months
Your workflow from brief to final master is set up and documented
Version 1 of Novakid’s AI film style guide is in place (characters, look, reference library)
2–3 brand films delivered and approved by the Head of Creative and Brand Director
First 6 months
Minimum of one film every month, each with a movie-level finish (5–6 films delivered in total)
Characters and look stay consistent from film to film
The Head of Creative and Brand Director trusts that every film meets Novakid’s creative and brand standards without needing heavy oversight.
Every film on time and within budget, with what we learn from each film’s performance feeding into the next
We Offer
Make an impact: Improve the lives of children around the world.
Grow with us: Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
Thrive in a collaborative culture: Join a diverse and supportive team that values creativity and innovation.
Flexible work environment: Enjoy the freedom to work remotely.

About GiveDirectly
What if the most effective way to fight poverty was also the simplest: give people money and trust them to decide what they need?
Since 2011, GiveDirectly has proven that idea at scale. We’ve delivered more than $1B in cash directly to 2+ million people living in poverty and crisis across 15 countries, and rigorous research shows the results: healthier kids, stronger businesses, sturdier homes, and more resilient families and local economies. Cash is now widely recognized as one of the most scalable, cost-effective, and dignified forms of aid.
Our ambition goes beyond our own programs. We want cash to become the benchmark for aid, much as the index fund became the benchmark for investing, so that every aid dollar is held to one question:
is this doing more good than giving the money directly to people living in poverty?
We’re growing fast, and this is a rare and important moment to join.
We expect to hit $1B in revenue in 2026 with significant growth forecast for 2027. At the same time we are building a new technology stack and operating model designed for a roughly 10x change in scale, and we are actively pursuing partnerships with major funders to move even more money in bigger ways, to people who need it. We are known for our extensive integration of technology into field processes; our quantitative approach to performance measurement; and our commitment to rigorous, independent, experimental evaluation of our impact, with multiple Randomized Control Trials completed and others in progress.
How we work
Our team spans 20+ countries and 69 languages. Our culture is candid, analytical, and non-hierarchical. We expect high ownership and give people real responsibility early. Our values are central to how we hire, work, and grow, and they are deliberately opinionated:
Recipients first.
Recipients’ preferences come before those of donors or ourselves.
Team next.
We optimize for organizational success, not individual success.
Be proactively candid.
We say what we believe and share information openly.
Create positive energy.
We aim to be a source of energy for colleagues, not a drain.
Think rigorously; act quickly.
We reason from first principles, then act rather than debate.
Know yourself and grow.
We own our imperfections and seek feedback to grow.
Accept reality. Propose solutions.
We focus on what can change and bring solutions, not just problems.
Be productively ambitious.
We take risks for step-change impact, not incremental progress.
If they describe how you like to work and they energize you, this could be a great fit.

ABOUT ONEPAY
OnePay is the consumer fintech trusted by millions of Americans to make money better.
Our financial system is broken. High fees, low rates, and too few ways to actually grow your money. We’re fixing it. And we’re moving fast.
We’re an all-in-one financial services platform that brings together banking, high-yield savings, credit cards, point-of-sale lending, investing, and crypto in one place. We also partner with employers, HCM providers, gig platforms, and others to deliver embedded financial services to millions of employees and frontline workers.
We’re backed by Walmart, the world’s largest retailer, and Ribbit Capital, one of fintech’s most respected investors, giving us rare scale, distribution, and the opportunity to build something truly category-defining.
But what really sets OnePay apart is how we move. Our customers don’t have time to wait… and neither do we. This place moves fast, and we’re looking for people who are:
- Ready to run
- Hungry and driven by urgency
- Exceptional at what they do, with low ego
- Comfortable operating in motion
THE ROLE
Our growth stack has a lot of moving parts. The app and the website send events through a customer data platform to the ad platforms, our mobile measurement partners and the data warehouse. Most launches touch several of those systems and a few different teams.
You'll own the growth roadmap and work day to day with the MarTech and growth engineers who build and maintain all of this. Your job is to keep launches moving, make sure they get properly tested, and make sure the numbers on the other side can be trusted.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the growth roadmap. Turn requests from marketing, paid media and product into scoped tickets with clear owners and dates. Keep the roadmap, runbooks and data flow docs current, and automate the repetitive parts with scripts or AI tools.
- Lead testing and QA with the MarTech and growth engineers. Write test plans, check changes in staging and on test devices before they ship, and confirm they worked after launch.
- Keep data flowing into paid media. Manage customer data platform destinations, audience syncs, reverse ETL and server-side events. Watch for dropped events, low match rates and schema drift, and write or tweak simple scripts when a setting isn't enough.
- Own our relationship with the mobile measurement partners. Debug attribution problems, keep SDK and ad network integrations healthy, and handle support escalations, renewals and roadmap requests.
- Keep tracking specs consistent across the app, the website, the customer data platform and web analytics, and dig in when numbers from different sources don't match.
- Run SDK upgrades, attribution migrations and new vendor onboarding from evaluation through cutover, with a rollback plan.
- Support paid and acquisition work across search, social, app-install networks, app store search ads and affiliates, including click ID plumbing, exclusion lists and test setup.
- Bring Privacy and Legal in early, so consent, data-sharing limits and data subject requests are part of the plan and not a surprise at launch.
YOU BRING
- 8+ years in technical program management, supporting growth, performance marketing, martech or data teams.
- Hands-on time with a customer data platform. You've connected it to several ad platforms, mapped and filtered events, and synced audiences with consent rules applied. You can read a tracking plan or a destination config and spot where a launch will break.
- Experience with a mobile measurement partner and a good grasp of attribution: click IDs, ATT and SKAdNetwork, view-through versus click-through, and platform-reported versus first-party conversions. You've debugged discrepancies and dealt with the vendor directly.
- Experience doing testing and QA with engineers on tracking or integration launches: test plans, staging checks, debug tools, test devices, and regression checks after SDK or release changes.
- You write SQL and pull your own numbers.
- A track record of running programs across engineering, design, data and marketing, with clear specs, honest status updates and a written record of decisions.
- Good judgment on priorities, and comfort saying no. You're fine with ambiguity and with working asynchronously on a remote-first team.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience at a consumer fintech or another regulated company.
- Reverse ETL into paid media (conversion APIs, offline conversions, audience uploads) and keeping it healthy: match rates, deduplication, delays and dropped events.
- Reading and writing simple scripts in JavaScript or Liquid, for example to transform an event payload or build a template.
- Experience with a cloud data warehouse.
- A working understanding of marketing privacy rules: consent, CCPA and similar state laws, GLBA, and limits on sharing customer data with ad platforms. You know when to ask Legal.

Our approach to remote work
We believe in the power of remote work, but recognize that in-person connection is important to help us achieve our mission. While we are a remote-first company, travel for in-person engagement is a part of most roles. Frequency will depend on role and responsibilities, and may include, but is not limited to: annual department-wide offsites, team meetings, and customer/industry events.
How we’re using AI today
Our Engineering, Product, and Design teams are thoughtfully integrating AI across the full software and product development lifecycle to move faster without sacrificing quality or security. ABOUT US
Ruby Labs is a leading tech company that creates and operates innovative consumer products. We offer a diverse range of opportunities across the health, education, and entertainment industries. Our innovative teams are driving the future of consumer-led products, and we're always looking for passionate individuals to join us. Learn more about our story at: https://rubylabs.com/about-us/
ABOUT THE ROLE
At Ruby Labs, we are looking for a Senior Desktop Engineer to own and drive a new cross-platform desktop product from first commit to production.
This is a high-ownership role with an unusually deep systems component. The application is not a wrapped web app: it captures system and microphone audio in real time, renders an always-on-top overlay across the user's workspace, registers global shortcuts, and integrates with the operating system at a level that requires native code on both macOS and Windows.
Our architecture is Electron for the application and UI layer, with native modules and helper processes in Swift and C++ where the platform requires it. You will own that boundary, deciding what belongs in TypeScript, what belongs in native code, and making the two halves behave as one reliable product.
You will also own everything that happens after the build: code signing, notarization, entitlements, permission onboarding, auto-update, and crash reporting. On this product, those are not an afterthought; they are a significant share of the engineering work, and getting them wrong is what stops users from ever running the app.
You will operate as the senior technical voice for desktop within your team, setting the engineering standard for the platform.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
DESKTOP APPLICATION & ENGINEERING QUALITY
- Own the Electron architecture end to end — main, renderer and helper processes, IPC design, context isolation, process lifecycle — and deliver major features within agreed timelines.
- Build transparent, frameless, always-on-top overlay windows that behave correctly across full-screen spaces, multiple displays and mixed-DPI setups, alongside global shortcuts, tray presence and low-latency UI under continuous background load.
- Design a clean platform abstraction in TypeScript so the macOS and Windows implementations stay isolated and independently testable, and write idiomatic Swift and C++ in the native layer.
- Keep the product reliable: defensive handling of unstable platform APIs, tests and code reviews, performance, memory and battery budgets, and remediation of security-review and penetration-test findings within agreed severity SLAs.
NATIVE PLATFORM INTEGRATION
- Build and maintain the native layer: Node addons (N-API / node-addon-api) and out-of-process helpers in Swift and C++.
- Implement real-time system audio capture — Core Audio process taps and ScreenCaptureKit on macOS, WASAPI loopback on Windows — including device change handling, format negotiation and graceful recovery from driver-level failures.
- Integrate with the Accessibility API (AXUIElement) on macOS and UI Automation on Windows to read application context reliably.
- Own the IPC protocol and lifecycle between Electron and the native helpers, and keep the application working as Apple and Microsoft change their platforms.
DISTRIBUTION, PERMISSIONS & RELEASE RELIABILITY
- Own code signing and notarization on macOS — hardened runtime, entitlements, nested binary signing, provisioning profiles — and Authenticode signing, SmartScreen reputation and antivirus false positives on Windows.
- Design the permission onboarding flow — microphone, system audio, screen recording, accessibility — so that grant rates stay high and failure states are recoverable.
- Build and maintain the release pipeline: CI matrix builds, signing from CI with HSM-backed certificates, auto-update, staged rollout and rollback.
- Own crash reporting and production telemetry for the desktop client, and act on what it tells you.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of software engineering experience, including production-grade TypeScript/Node.js.
- 3+ years building and shipping Electron applications to real end users, not internal tools or proofs of concept.
- Hands-on native macOS development in Swift and/or Objective-C, with AppKit and at least one system-level framework such as Core Audio, AVFoundation, ScreenCaptureKit, or the Accessibility API.
- Practical experience writing native Node addons (N-API / node-addon-api) or bundling and communicating with out-of-process native helpers.
- Demonstrated experience with macOS code signing, notarization, entitlements, and the TCC permission model — you have debugged a rejected notarization and know how to read the log.
- Working knowledge of the Windows desktop platform: Win32 APIs, Authenticode signing, and the practical realities of SmartScreen and antivirus reputation.
- Strong grasp of multi-process architecture, IPC, and debugging issues that only reproduce on a user's machine.
NICE TO HAVE
- Real-time audio pipelines — buffering, resampling, mixing multiple sources, or streaming to speech-to-text services.
- Signing from CI with hardware-backed certificates (Azure Key Vault, DigiCert KeyLocker, or similar), and antivirus whitelisting or SmartScreen reputation building for a new product.
- Auto-update infrastructure such as Squirrel, electron-updater or Sparkle, including staged rollouts.
- Crash reporting and symbolication for native code (Crashpad, Sentry, or similar).
- Prior experience shipping a consumer desktop product at meaningful scale.
LOCATION
Ruby Labs operates within the CET (Central European Time) zone. Applicants from any country are welcome to apply for the position as long as they are located within approximately ± 4 hours of CET. This ensures optimal collaboration and communication during working hours.

In practice, that looks like engineers using AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate reviews and catch bugs earlier, product managers synthesizing user research at scale, and designers rapidly prototyping and iterating with AI-generated mockups. We approach AI the same way we approach security: with clear principles, human accountability at every consequential decision point, and rigorous evaluation before anything ships to customers.
