About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Anthropic's Tax team sits within Finance & Accounting and is responsible for the company's tax position as we grow quickly in the US and internationally. New entities and jurisdictions, intercompany arrangements, financing, acquired businesses, and large commercial and compute agreements all carry US international tax consequences, and those consequences are getting larger and more complex as the company scales. We are looking for an International Tax Director to join our Tax planning, M&A, and Policy team. Your core subject matter is the US international provisions, including subpart F, NCTI, FDDEI, BEAT, and the foreign tax credit, along with the subchapter C rules that govern how we form, fund, and structure entities.
This is a hands-on technical role. You will write the memos behind your recommendations, review the models that support them, and see your projects through to implementation, often in areas where the facts are new to the company or the law has recently changed and guidance is still developing. Our M&A tax colleagues lead diligence and deal structure on transactions, and once a deal closes you will help work out how the acquired business fits into our international structure. You will also work closely with the colleagues who own the tax provision, compliance, and transfer pricing, and with Legal, Treasury, and Accounting. If you enjoy carrying hard technical questions through to implementation as part of a small team, we would like to hear from you.
Key responsibilities
Lead and support US international tax planning projects from initial analysis through implementation, and contribute to how the planning group identifies and prioritizes its work
Analyze the US international tax consequences of business initiatives, including new entities and jurisdictions, intercompany arrangements, funding and repatriation, and cross-border commercial and compute agreements, and recommend how to structure them
Perform and review technical analysis under subpart F, NCTI, BEAT, and the foreign tax credit rules, including expense allocation and apportionment and the interaction among these provisions
Apply subchapter C to entity formations, contributions, distributions, liquidations, and internal reorganizations, including earnings and profits and stock basis analysis
Define the assumptions and scenarios for models that quantify the cash tax and effective tax rate impact of planning alternatives, acquired structures, and legislative and regulatory changes; review those models for technical accuracy and provide input on them; and be accountable for the conclusions drawn from them
Support the M&A tax team after closing by developing the step plans that integrate acquired entities into Anthropic's structure, reviewing the modeling of the alternatives, and leading follow-on planning for the combined structure
Draft technical memoranda and maintain documentation that would support each planning position on examination, and work with the provision team on ASC 740 treatment, including uncertain tax positions
Partner with tax compliance and transfer pricing so that your projects are reflected accurately in intercompany pricing, the provision, and the US international filings (Forms 5471, 8858, 8991, 8992, 1118, and related), and review the international portions of the US return as a subject matter expertise
Scope, budget, and manage work performed by outside advisors on your projects, and review their deliverables
Track US legislative and regulatory developments and OECD developments in your areas, assess their impact on our position, and share the analysis with the planning group and Finance leadership
Work with the tax advisory team, Legal, Accounting, and Treasury to make sure approved planning and integration steps are implemented as designed, including intercompany agreements
Support responses to IRS and other tax authority inquiries relating to positions you have worked on
Minimum qualifications
Have deep technical knowledge of the US international tax provisions, including subpart F, NCTI, BEAT, and the foreign tax credit rules, and have applied them in a planning context rather than in compliance alone
Have working knowledge of subchapter C as it applies to multinational groups, including earnings and profits, stock basis, distributions, and internal reorganizations
Have led tax planning projects end to end, including scoping, technical analysis, modeling, documentation, and implementation
Understand how planning positions flow into transfer pricing, the ASC 740 provision, and the US international compliance forms
Can research a technical question in the Code, regulations, and administrative guidance and write a clear, well supported memorandum
Can review a tax model built by someone else, identify where the technical assumptions or mechanics are wrong, and explain what needs to change
Have managed outside advisors, including scoping work, managing budgets, and reviewing their output
Can run several projects at once with different internal owners and keep each of them moving
Can reach a defensible recommendation when the facts are incomplete or the guidance is unsettled, and can explain the remaining uncertainty
Communicate technical tax conclusions clearly to people who are not tax specialists, and work well with colleagues in Legal, Accounting, and Treasury
Are excited about Anthropic's mission to develop AI that is safe and beneficial
Preferred qualifications
CPA, JD, or LLM in taxation
15+ years of extensive US international tax experience, for example a combination of public accounting or law firm practice and an in-house role at a multinational technology company
Experience with post-acquisition integration planning, including step plans and modeling for bringing acquired entities into an existing international structure
Direct experience with transfer pricing, Pillar Two, or the FDDEI deduction and how they interact with the US international provisions
Familiarity with the tax rules of the non-US jurisdictions where a US technology company typically operates
Have working knowledge of partnership tax as it applies to multinational groups, including the formation and funding of joint ventures, allocations and distributions, and how partnership structures interact with the US international provisions
Experience planning around large cross-border commercial arrangements, such as cloud, compute, or licensing agreements, or standing up entities in new jurisdictions
Experience with infrastructure or capital-intensive investments, such as data centers, energy, or similar assets, including joint venture and financing structures
Experience supporting an IRS examination of international positions
Experience at a company that scaled significantly, or built out its international structure, during your tenure
Have built or reviewed US international tax models yourself, which tends to make review faster and more precise
Have used Claude or similar tools in tax research, modeling, or documentation, and have views on where they help and where they do not
Have mentored or developed other tax professionals

We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
Your safety matters to us.
To protect yourself from potential scams, remember that Anthropic recruiters only contact you from @anthropic.com email addresses. In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

WHO WE ARE
Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkpYpWfEK5s. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.
Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As our GTM Compensation Lead on Commercial Operations, you’ll own commissions strategy, design, and execution for GTM. This is an opportunity to evolve how GTM Comp supports a growing GTM org through Notion’s AI-era selling motion and Enterprise growth. You’ll set the incentive systems that shape how our sellers focus, partner, and grow with customers. On a typical week, you’ll work with senior GTM leaders — including the Head of Sales and geo leaders — to translate business priorities into clear, accurate, scalable comp programs.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE:
- By your 90th day, map the current GTM Comp operating model and publish a roadmap for evolving the function as GTM grows.
- Introduce AI quick wins that improve the quality of work: triage inbound questions, help reps estimate payouts, flag discrepancies across systems, and automate reminders tied to the comp calendar.
- Build a planning-cycle framework that makes design inputs, trade-offs, decision rights, and timelines clear across GTM, Finance, and Commercial Operations.
- Provide board-level updates, including clear reporting on plan health, payout accuracy, systems quality, and key design decisions.

- Experience leading transformative operational projects from design through rollout, especially where cross-functional alignment and change management matter.
- Track record of building and maintaining sustainable quarterly operating cadences, including clear calendars, communications frameworks, and repeatable review moments. Ideally you have managed this process at a public company.
- AI-fluent operating style: you use AI to improve decision quality, automate manual checks, identify data discrepancies, and build tools or workflows that make teams more self-serve.
- Familiarity with Everstage a plus!

The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role’s scope and complexity, and the candidate’s experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. For roles based in San Francisco or New York City, the estimated base salary range for this role is $230,000 - $257,000 per year.

A NOTE ON AI
You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. We are looking for a
Senior Social Media Strategist
to own the social and audience strategy behind the YouTube channel of a globally recognized beauty brand.
In this role, you will define the strategic direction for a high-growth, high-volume global YouTube channel with a Shorts-first approach. You will identify the audience behaviors that drive discovery, subscription, and purchase, translate cultural and trend signals into repeatable content direction, and shape the content calendar around key product launches, activations, and brand moments.
You will own the growth strategy behind what the channel publishes, developing clear hypotheses, reviewing performance alongside analytics specialists, and adapting the approach based on what the data shows. You will also shape the creator activation strategy, from briefing and selection criteria to performance evaluation and progression across creator tiers, while identifying how organic content can connect effectively with commerce and paid amplification.
Working closely with creative, analytics, community, and account teams, you will ensure that social strategy translates into clear, actionable direction across the wider project. You will also present and defend strategic recommendations to senior client stakeholders across media and marketing.
A strong understanding of YouTube, internet culture, creators, and emerging subcultures is essential, together with a proven track record of growing social channels rather than focusing primarily on campaign-led activations. Experience working with large brands in beauty or closely related consumer categories is strongly preferred.
Requirements
Proven track record of growing social media channels or accounts, with the ability to demonstrate measurable growth and clearly explain the strategies and decisions that drove it.
Strong agency-side experience in social media strategy for large brands, with experience in beauty or a closely adjacent consumer category strongly preferred.
Deep understanding of YouTube formats, audience behavior, discovery, and creator culture, alongside strong knowledge of other major social platforms.
Demonstrable ability to assess content strategically and structurally, identifying why specific content performs and translating those insights into repeatable approaches.
Strong understanding of internet culture, emerging trends, online communities, creators, and subcultures.
Experience developing content and audience strategies for high-volume publishing environments is highly desirable.
Experience designing and running creator or influencer activations, ideally across multiple markets, is an advantage.
Strong analytical fluency, with the ability to interpret performance data, challenge assumptions, identify inconsistencies, and develop testable hypotheses.
Ability to adapt strategic direction based on performance data and confidently scale, refine, or discontinue approaches based on evidence.
Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills, with the confidence to present and defend strategic recommendations to senior client audiences.
Understanding of social commerce or affiliate mechanics is a plus.
Familiarity with paid social planning and the relationship between organic performance and paid amplification is a plus, but not essential.
Native-level or professional working proficiency in English.

ABOUT BASETEN
Baseten powers mission-critical inference for the world's most dynamic AI companies, like Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma, and Writer. By uniting applied AI research, flexible infrastructure, and seamless developer tooling, we enable companies operating at the frontier of AI to bring cutting-edge models into production. We're growing quickly and recently raised our $1.5B Series F https://www.baseten.co/blog/announcing-our-series-f/, led by Altimeter Capital, Conviction Partners, and Spark Capital. Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to ship AI products.
THE ROLE
The Model Performance organization at Baseten is looking to hire our first Technical Program Manager. This is a zero-to-one role in a team that is responsible for building the core algorithms and methods that power Baseten’s high performance inference stack. You won't inherit an existing program framework, you'll build one from the ground up: the planning structure, execution processes, metrics and the cross-functional alignment that a fast-growing organization needs. Your contributions will directly impact how fast our performance R&D gets productized. If you can drive turning a set of ambitious but loosely defined initiatives into a predictable, well-governed program, this role is for you.
EXAMPLE INITIATIVES
Take a look at these blog posts written by members of our Model Performance team:
- How to build a day-0 API for Kimi K3 https://www.baseten.co/blog/how-to-build-a-day-zero-api-for-kimi-k3/
- How we built the new fastest API for GLM-5.2 https://www.baseten.co/blog/how-we-built-the-new-fastest-api-for-glm-52/
- Inference engineering for DeepSeek V4 Pro 0813 https://www.baseten.co/blog/inference-engineering-for-deepseek-v4-pro-0813/
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own execution across Model Performance's active project portfolio, freeing the team's technical leads to focus on technical direction rather than tracking.
- Design and stand up the planning structures, operating cadences, and status reporting mechanisms that best fits the team’s DNA.
- Coordinate model release and optimization programs end to end, including day-zero launches, sequencing the work across performance engineering, infra, and release stakeholders.
- Drive cross-team alignment as scope expands from Model Performance Core into Model APIs and the inference production stack (BIS).
- Surface risks and dependencies early, and keep leadership informed with clear, honest status.
- Partner with engineering leads to design team structures and ownership boundaries as the org scales.
REQUIREMENTS
- Deep technical program management experience - you're already running programs of this scope at an organization of similar or greater complexity.
- Experience program-managing model performance or inference optimization work - you understand how engines like vLLM, TensorRT-LLM, SGLang, or NVIDIA Dynamo fit into a production serving stack and can engage credibly with the engineers building on them.
- Demonstrated comfort with ambiguity and zero-to-one program building, not just executing an existing framework.
- Proven ability to influence without authority across engineers, managers, and leadership who don't report to you.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to make deeply technical programs legible to any audience.
- High agency decision making that demonstrates ownership, accountability and a strong desire to get things done.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience coordinating model release programs, including day-zero launches (ideally for large-scale models).
- Prior hands-on software engineering background.
- Deep learning performance optimization background, in training or inference, with inference preferred.
BENEFITS
- Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
- (U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents
- Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!)
- Paid parental leave
- Fertility and family-building stipend through Carrot
- (U.S. only) Company-facilitated 401(k)
- Exposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities.
Apply now to embark on a rewarding journey in shaping the future of AI! If you are a motivated individual with a passion for machine learning and a desire to be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team, we would love to hear from you.
At Baseten, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. We provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, genetic information, disability, or veteran status.
We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable law (by example, the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, where applicable).

Anthropic's Safeguards organization builds the policies, evaluations, and detection and enforcement systems that define and hold the limits on how Claude can be used. In this role, you'll lead our policy design team, managing the teams responsible for radicalization, child safety, user well-being, harmful manipulation, and election integrity, among other harm areas.
The team is responsible for understanding and defining the risks that come with engaging with Claude, how those risks materialize in the real world, and the mitigations needed to prevent them. As the manager, you'll work with your team to draw the boundaries between what is and is not allowed, then partner with research, product, and engineering to build the right interventions. Mitigating these harms takes the whole stack: the values and judgment trained into the model itself, the policies and detection systems we enforce on top of it, and the interventions we build into our products. More capable models, new product surfaces, and new user behaviors will keep testing these boundaries, so the team's policies have to keep pace.
You'll work closely with product to develop and iterate on the strategy and vision for how our safety layers fit together, and with your team and cross-functional partners to decide which mitigations make the most sense and how to implement them. You'll also coordinate policy decisions across the portfolio: ensuring they're made with the right stakeholders in the room, tracked over time, and applied consistently across harm areas and product surfaces.
This is a leadership role for someone who combines expertise in the harm areas themselves with fluency in how frontier models are actually developed and deployed, and who does their best work across team boundaries. You'll spend as much time developing the leads who own each harm area as you will on the policy questions themselves.
*Important context for this role: some of the work involves exposure to explicit content, including material of a sexual, violent, or psychologically disturbing nature.
Key responsibilities
Lead, develop, and grow the managers and teams responsible for the consumer harms portfolio, including child safety, user well-being, harmful manipulation, and election integrity
Coordinate policy decisions across the portfolio, and build the mechanisms that keep them tracked, consistent, and legible — so stakeholders know what was decided, why, and who owns what
Set the strategy for how mitigations built on top of the model — policies, detection and enforcement systems, and product interventions — complement what is trained into the model itself, partnering closely with the alignment training team that owns Claude's character
Prioritize across harm areas competing for the same resources, and make those tradeoffs and their rationale clear to leadership
Serve as the escalation point for high-severity and ambiguous consumer harms decisions, including rapid response to emerging risks
Partner with engineering, data science, product, legal, and research across the model development cycle so consumer harms considerations are represented from training through launch, on every surface where Claude is deployed
Engage external experts, civil society organizations, and regulators, and translate that engagement into stronger policy and enforcement
Minimum qualifications
Experience leading teams — including managing managers or senior specialists — in AI safety, product policy, or a related field
Deep, applied familiarity with consumer harm areas such as child safety, mental health and well-being, manipulation, or election integrity, and good judgment about how these harms differ in mechanism, severity, and mitigation
A track record of exceptional cross-team collaboration: building durable working relationships with teams you don't control, and getting to shared decisions where ownership is genuinely distributed
Working understanding of how frontier models are developed and deployed — the training and fine-tuning cycle, evaluations, and launch processes — and how different model environments (consumer products, APIs, agentic tools) change both risk and the mitigations available
Experience translating policy positions into mechanisms that can be enforced and measured, and communicating the reasoning to technical and non-technical audiences, including executives
Sound judgment in ambiguous, high-consequence decisions, and comfort making a call and escalating appropriately on incomplete information
Preferred qualifications
Subject-matter depth in one or more of the portfolio's harm areas, from academia, clinical practice, civil society, government, or trust & safety work
Experience working directly with model training or research teams on model behavior, or shaping the character of a deployed AI system
Experience with generative AI safety systems, including LLM-based classification, evaluation, or enforcement pipelines
Experience engaging external stakeholders in these domains — child safety organizations, election authorities, mental health experts, or regulators
Experience using agentic AI tools to scale a team's analysis and operations
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
Annual Salary:
$330,000
—
$395,000 USD
Logistics
Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study:
A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience:
Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:

Check out our Careers https://careers.circle.so/ page for more about working at Circle.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re building something game-changing at Circle: a discovery marketplace where millions can find creators, communities, and products to help them achieve their highest personal and professional goals.
You’ll own generating and growing the demand engine for the Discover marketplace. Think of a Pinterest, Reddit or Instagram-style product, reimagined with a mission to help people achieve their goals instead of distracting them with endless doom scrolling. Through Discover, you will be building technology that could help millions of people grow, self-actualize, and live their best lives.
As the Growth Lead for Discover, you’ll report directly to the GM of Discover and work closely with Circle's co-founders to bring this vision to life. Day to day you'll work with the product team for Discover, our paid media team, data team, brand and design studio, lifecycle marketing, partnerships, and more.
This is a fully remote role, open to candidates in any North American time zone.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Own growth for the Discover marketplace. Drive traffic to Discover, experiment with how consumers find and engage with Discover, and grow its GMV and transaction volume.
- A/B testing and experimentation. Run experiments to better acquire, engage, and retain traffic. Test what people see when they arrive on Discover, the algorithms behind recommendations, and marketplace structure.
- Build Circle's end-to-end lifecycle email programs. Build the acquisition funnel for Discover by setting up a recommendations newsletter, creating offers to acquire subscribers, and developing email programs to turn visitors into repeat buyers.
- Build an SEO program. Grow Discover's organic surfaces and SEO / AEO across product pages and distribution partnerships with the creators already building on Circle.
- Drive creator success on the marketplace. Help creators listed on Discover succeed by sending them buyers who convert and stay, diagnosing which categories generate traffic but underconvert, and applying those learnings across the marketplace.
- Build the team's reporting. Track funnel performance by category, cohort retention of Discover-sourced members, and what individual creators earn from the marketplace, and own reporting on performance and recommendations to leadership.
- Help shape and execute Discover's growth strategy. Partner with the GM of Discover and co-founders to shape growth priorities and collaborate with the product team to evolve the product.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
- A track record of owning a revenue or GMV number across multiple channels at one time, where you were able to grow the number and deliver real results. Ideally, you can walk us through what moved the number, what worked, and what you got wrong. This matters a lot more to us than your title or how many years you've been doing this.
- Experience with email and lifecycle marketing, including building a program from scratch. You should have a clear view of what it should be judged on beyond opens and clicks.
- Experience acquiring email subscribers profitably and growing their value over time. This mechanic is going to be key here: bring someone in for less than they'll eventually spend, then earning more from them by delivering real value to both them and the creator.
- Comfortable being hands-on as a player-coach. This includes writing the emails, building the pages, talking to the creators, setting up reporting, and reading the results yourself.
- Deep understanding of marketplaces and/or businesses with strong network effects. Ideally, you’re someone who obsesses about marketplace network effects, and shows strong judgment and opinions on growing the demand side of a marketplace.
- Learn fast, experiment aggressively, and thrive in a highly dynamic environment. You’ll need to be comfortable running a lot of experiments and letting the results settle the argument, including the ones that don't work (which will be many of them in the beginning).
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity. You’ll need to learn and pick up new technologies when projects require it.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English (CEFR C2 or equivalent https://englishonline.britishcouncil.org/free-english-level-test-cefr-2/), as most collaboration at Circle happens asynchronously.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Circle offers U.S.-benchmarked compensation globally, equity in the company with ongoing refresh grants, and 35 days of paid time off each year.
We’re a remote-only team that comes together twice a year for company retreats in incredible destinations around the world. Alongside incredible flexibility and autonomy, we offer a benefits package that supports health, wellbeing, and professional growth.
Anthropic is building AI compute at a scale and pace that outruns what off-the-shelf data center equipment was designed for. Much of the power and cooling equipment behind our next campuses — battery energy storage systems (BESS), grid-forming and grid-following inverters, solid-state transformers (SST), E-STATCOM and other power-quality devices, medium-voltage switchgear, UPS, and liquid-cooling systems — is either new to the market, new to the supplier, or being built at a volume the supplier has never shipped before.
The NPI Engineer owns the path from "the supplier has a design" to "the equipment is qualified, manufacturable at rate, and running reliably on site." You sit between our electrical and mechanical design teams, our supply chain and quality teams, and the supplier's engineering and factory organizations, and you make sure every new product or major variant clears the gates — EVT, DVT, PVT, FAT, SAT — before it is trusted with production load. This is a hands-on role: you will spend real time on supplier factory floors, in test labs, and at site commissioning.
What you'll do
Own the NPI program for each new power or cooling product
(BESS, inverters, SST, E-STATCOM, MV switchgear, UPS, CDUs, chillers) from concept selection through ramp, including the gate schedule, exit criteria, and risk register.
Drive early supplier design engagement:
translate our site requirements (fault current, grid interconnection, harmonic and ride-through requirements, thermal envelopes, footprint, serviceability) into product requirements and specifications the supplier can build to, and negotiate trade-offs with their engineering teams.
Lead DFM/DFT/DFx reviews
with suppliers so designs are manufacturable at the rate we need, testable in the factory, and serviceable in the field.
Plan and run prototype and pilot builds:
define EVT/DVT/PVT scope and sample counts, witness builds, own test plans (type testing, HALT/HASS, thermal, EMC, protection coordination, functional and integration tests), and drive root cause and corrective action on every failure.
Qualify the product for deployment:
define and execute first-article inspection, factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), and integrated system testing with the rest of the electrical and cooling chain, and sign off on production readiness.
Hand off to steady state:
transfer qualified products, control plans, test procedures, and known-issue lists to the Manufacturing Quality and Supply Chain Delivery teams, and support them through the first production ramps.
Build the reliability picture:
run FMEA/DFMEA with suppliers, define reliability targets and burn-in requirements, and feed field failure data back into the next revision.
Coordinate cross-functionally
with design engineering, construction, commissioning, utilities/interconnection, safety, and sourcing so NPI schedules are integrated with campus delivery schedules.
Keep suppliers honest:
track readiness and risk with clear metrics, escalate early, and hold technical reviews that resolve issues rather than admire them.
You may be a good fit if you have
8+ years of engineering experience in power electronics, electrical equipment, or industrial energy systems, with at least 4 years in an NPI, product development, or product engineering role that owned a product from prototype through production ramp.
Direct, hands-on experience with at least two of: BESS, utility- or data-center-scale inverters, medium-voltage transformers or switchgear, UPS, STATCOM/power-quality equipment, or liquid cooling systems (CDUs, chillers, hydronics).
Working knowledge of the relevant standards and how they get applied in qualification: UL 9540/9540A, UL 1741 and IEEE 1547, IEEE 2800, IEC 62477 / IEC 62909, IEEE C37 and C57 series, NFPA 70/855, UL 1778, and comparable IEC equivalents.
Experience defining and executing structured qualification programs (EVT/DVT/PVT, FAT/SAT, type testing, reliability testing) and closing failures with disciplined root cause analysis and CAPA.
Familiarity with supplier factory environments — production lines, test bays, quality systems — and the ability to assess a supplier's real readiness to ship at rate.
Fluency in design-for-manufacturing and design-for-test principles and the supplier ECO/change-control process.
Strong systems thinking: you can reason about how an inverter, a battery, a transformer, and a cooling loop behave together at a site, not just in isolation.
Clear written and verbal communication, and comfort driving decisions across engineering, supply chain, and executive audiences.
A bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or power engineering, or equivalent experience.
Willingness to travel 30–40% to supplier factories and data center sites, including internationally.
Strong candidates may also have
Experience with solid-state transformers, grid-forming inverters, E-STATCOM, or other emerging power-conversion equipment being introduced to data center or utility applications for the first time.
NPI or product engineering experience at a hyperscaler, a large utility-scale developer, or a Tier-1 power equipment OEM.
Background in grid interconnection studies, protection coordination, or power-system modeling (PSCAD, ETAP, PSS/E, or similar).
Liquid cooling product introduction experience — CDU, rear-door heat exchanger, direct-to-chip, or immersion systems.
Reliability engineering credentials (CRE, Six Sigma) or experience running HALT/HASS programs.
Firmware and controls validation experience for power conversion equipment (inverter control loops, BMS, EMS, PLC/SCADA integration).
Experience standing up or scaling new supplier manufacturing lines, including contract manufacturing and international sites.

Direct, front-line experience handling law enforcement or government requests for user data, including subpoenas, court orders, warrants, preservation letters, and emergency disclosure requests
Working knowledge of the legal framework for law enforcement access to user data, including the Stored Communications Act and the mechanics of foreign and cross-border requests such as MLATs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization
Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and maintain the highest standards of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive legal matters, including under time pressure
Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience owning an intake, queue, or docketing process end to end, including deciding what gets escalated and maintaining rigorous tracking
Comfort operating and improving the tooling a legal process runs on (trackers, spreadsheets, forms, aliases, and simple automations), with a willingness to make changes directly rather than route every change to someone else
A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to identifying, recommending, and implementing process improvements within the legal department
Preferred qualifications
5+ years of experience in legal operations, business/operations management, or a paralegal role in an in-house legal department
2+ years of experience at a high-growth technology company, with exposure to the legal challenges and opportunities presented by emerging technologies
Experience building or scaling a law enforcement response process
Experience managing legal intake process within a growing company
Demonstrated ability to think critically and creatively, adapting to new challenges and finding practical solutions to complex legal issues
