WHO WE ARE
Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkpYpWfEK5s. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.
Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Notion’s Tax team is growing, and we’re looking for a Senior Tax Accountant to support our global tax operations. In this role, you’ll run global indirect tax operations and strengthen the systems behind them. As Notion scales across products and jurisdictions, this role exists to make compliance, close, audits, and tax data more accurate, scalable, and audit-ready. You’ll own recurring sales and use tax, VAT/GST, business tax, registrations, notices, reconciliations, and related controls, while building exposure to income tax compliance and reporting. The work is hands-on and cross-functional: you’ll trace differences across billing, tax engines, filings, payments, and the general ledger with Accounting, Revenue, Billing, Product, Engineering, Data, and Customer Experience partners.
This role is based in San Francisco. We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (our Anchor Days) because we do our best thinking and building together in person. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to work alongside the team during those days.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE:
- Take ownership of recurring U.S. and global indirect-tax filings, calendars, data packages, notices, registrations, and close support—with accurate, review-ready work.
- Establish a reliable reconciliation and exception workflow across billing, tax engines, filings, payments, and the general ledger, escalating issues clearly and early.
- Use AI-enabled workflows and data tools to investigate variances, quality-check work papers, and improve documentation while preserving human review and controls.
- Make tax operations more scalable and audit-ready by strengthening controls, process documentation, evidence, handoffs, audit support, and SOX walkthrough readiness.
- Become a trusted partner to Accounting, Revenue, Billing, Product, Engineering, Data, and Customer Experience—and contribute to income tax compliance and reporting with guidance from experienced teammates.
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of public accounting and/or industry tax experience, with a primary focus on indirect tax compliance and operations.
- Hands-on experience with indirect tax compliance or operations, especially U.S. sales and use tax, VAT/GST, business taxes, or other non-income-based taxes; this is the foundation for owning Notion’s recurring global work.
- Experience preparing accurate reconciliations, journal entries, filings, payments, and audit-ready work papers, with the ability to connect activity across source systems and the general ledger.
- Strong operational judgment: you manage recurring deadlines, investigate exceptions, keep documentation organized, escalate issues promptly, and drive assigned work through completion.
- Clear written and verbal communication, with a collaborative approach to working across Finance, Accounting, business teams, and external advisors.
- Curiosity and learning agility, including willingness to build income-tax capability and demonstrated AI fluency—using AI to analyze data, investigate variances, improve documentation, perform quality checks, or automate repeatable workflows while validating outputs and protecting sensitive information.
Notion is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role’s scope and complexity, and the candidate’s experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. For roles based in San Francisco, the estimated base salary range for this role is $135,000 - $155,000 per year.

A NOTE ON AI
You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.

ABOUT SENTRY

Trusted by 200,000+ organizations, Sentry is today’s application monitoring standard and our team is building its AI-native future.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Sentry's Infrastructure Engineering team is what makes operating Sentry simple, safe, and seamless for every other engineering team in the company. They build the internal control platforms, configuration systems, traffic routing, and automation that let product engineers operate services safely at scale without needing deep infrastructure expertise themselves.
As the Engineering Manager for Infrastructure Engineering, you'll lead a team of engineers building the tools that power Sentry's growth: internal admin and change management tools, configuration automation, and the routing layer that underlies Sentry's architecture. You'll be responsible for technical vision, team health, system reliability, and partnership with engineering teams across the company who depend on your team's tools every day.
You'll work closely with leaders across Infrastructure, Platform, and Production Engineering to shape how Sentry scales its operational model as the company grows.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
- Lead a team of engineers building the internal control platforms that every engineering team at Sentry relies on to operate services safely.
- Drive the evolution of Infrastructure Engineering's platform, including configuration management, traffic routing and environment controls
- Own the team's technical direction, contributing to key decisions on API architecture, internal tooling design, and automation frameworks.
- Nurture and grow engineers at different levels, providing support through coaching, mentorship, and career development.
- Foster an inclusive, high-performing team culture focused on ownership, learning, and delivery.
- Partner with Production Engineering, SRE, and Developer Infrastructure to make sure operational tooling stays consistent and well-scoped across the org.
- Own the reliability, adoption, and roadmap of the team's tools while building a culture of technical excellence and pragmatic decision making.
YOU'LL LOVE THIS JOB IF YOU
- Are passionate about building tools that make operating complex systems simple for other engineers.
- Enjoy solving infrastructure problems around configuration, routing, and automation, and turning them into clean, self-service abstractions.
- Believe in using proven technologies and committing to a single, reliable choice rather than chasing novelty.
- Think in terms of building for scale and cost effectiveness from day one, and for the needs of many teams rather than one.
- Value cross-functional collaboration and thrive in hybrid, in-person settings with engineers across functions, levels, and geographies.
- Take pride in building strong, healthy teams and enabling them to lead high-impact, multi-year initiatives.
- Want to be part of a thoughtful, highly technical team that cares about long-term system health and operational simplicity.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, ideally with a focus on internal tooling, infrastructure automation, platform engineering, or distributed systems.
- 4+ years of engineering management experience, including growing and managing teams of engineers.
- Experience as a Tech Lead or Engineering Manager leading the architecture and long-term evolution of internal control platforms or similar systems.

From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About Us
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data. Together, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on. Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions.
As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact. During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.
About The Role
As a Senior Technical Product Marketing Manager at Fivetran + dbt Labs, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the market perception of Fivetran+dbt Labs: building compelling narratives, driving product adoption, and shaping how our products are used and understood by our enterprise customers. This is a highly cross-functional, generalist technical PMM role that will support key product areas as needed and help scale technical product marketing across the organization. This role ensures our marketing efforts align with the technical depth, clarity, and value our customers expect. Technical Product Marketing Managers at Fivetran+dbt Labs stay current on the evolving data and analytics landscape, modern data infrastructure, and emerging trends such as AI. This role is perfect for someone who’s as comfortable digging into the details of our features and our users’ needs as they are with telling a big-picture story about where our platform and industry are headed.
This is not a Product Marketing role focused solely on executing requests from the product or sales teams. Product Marketing at Fivetran+dbt Labs is highly strategic and cross-functional, collaborating across product, marketing, GTM, customer success, and executive teams to shape the direction of our product offerings and deliver customer impact. If you are passionate about driving strategy, fostering cross-functional partnerships, and contributing to transformative initiatives in the data and AI space, we’d love for you to apply.
What You’ll Do
Content Development & Messaging: Create high-impact technical collateral across the Fivetran platform, including architecture diagrams, demos, white papers, blogs, pitch decks, technical guides, and other customer-facing content. Develop thought leadership that translates complex technical concepts into clear, value-based messaging for technical audiences. Review and edit materials across the product portfolio to ensure technical accuracy, consistency, and strategic alignment.
Customer & Market Insights: Conduct research on market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics across the modern data ecosystem to inform product positioning and messaging. Partner closely with Product Management to deeply understand features, technical capabilities, and customer use cases across multiple product areas. Develop how-to guides, demo videos, case studies, and technical whitepapers that support adoption and expansion across key products.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a technical marketing partner to GTM Product Marketers, Demand Generation, Regional Marketing, Sales, and Enablement to support launches, campaigns, webinars, field events, and sales plays across priority product areas. Collaborate with Partner Marketing to showcase integrations and ecosystem partnerships through joint initiatives such as webinars, workshops, and hands-on labs.
Technical Expertise: Operationalize technical product marketing best practices across teams. Stay up to date with trends in data integration, cloud data platforms, AI, deployment models, governance, etc. Serve as technical SME on the Fivetran platform, articulating how it fits into customers’ broader data stacks and workflows. Provide best practices, reference architectures, and technical validation to support sales cycles and customer conversations.
Thought Leadership: Represent Fivetran as a platform expert through events, presentations, webinars, and hands-on labs. Support analyst relations and strategic conversations by providing detailed technical insights and validating product innovation across the portfolio. Help position Fivetran as a foundational component of modern, scalable data infrastructure.
Skills We’re Looking For
2-4 years of experience in product marketing, data engineering, product management, sales engineering, and/or data and analytics consulting
Data industry experience and expertise: Either hands-on work with or knowledge of data engineering with a focus on data integration, databases, data warehouses, and related technologies (e.g. SQL, dbt, python, Spark).
Technical aptitude and a desire to learn more: Knowledge of modern data infrastructure and tools, particularly in relation to data lakes and their role in analytics and storage. Has a keen interest in all things data integration and cloud destinations and a willingness to work on new product areas as they arise.
Experience working with multiple different teams: Proven experience partnering and coaching across Product, Sales, Marketing, and Enablement teams to deliver impactful results.
Strong in-person, virtual, and written communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of adapting messaging for different technical personas and mediums.
Highly-organized with an excellent project management track record: Strong project management skills to juggle multiple initiatives and projects, maintain proactive communication with stakeholders, and meet deadlines.

ABOUT SENTRY
Software runs the world and the pace is faster than ever. Sentry helps developers fix errors and performance issues before users notice, so teams can spend less time firefighting and more time building.
Trusted by 200,000+ organizations, Sentry is today’s application monitoring standard and our team is building its AI-native future.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Sentry already sees the moment software breaks: the error, the trace, the replay, the commit that caused it. Seer, our AI debugger, uses all of that to figure out what went wrong and how to fix it. We're looking for a Staff engineer to help decide how that system should evolve as models improve every few months. Some of what we build today will be obsolete by next spring. Part of the job is knowing which parts, and building the rest to last.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
- Build state-of-the-art agentic AI systems to triage, debug, and solve real production issues
- Set technical direction for how our agents get context, use tools, and decide when they're done
- Build the evals that tell us whether a new model or prompt actually helped, fast enough that people use them
- Decide when to use a frontier model, a smaller one, or one we trained, and revisit that as cost and capability shift
- Leverage Sentry’s novel (and massive) dataset of errors, spans, and profiles
- Own major AI initiatives end to end, alongside the developers and product teams shipping them
- Run what you ship in production and debug it with Sentry
YOU'LL LOVE THIS JOB IF YOU
- Are driven by impact and enjoy working on high-stakes, high-visibility projects
- Enjoy building things. You will have the opportunity to join the AI/ML team as one of its foundational members
- Thrive in cross-functional teams and enjoy building features alongside developers and product teams
QUALIFICATIONS
- You've shipped an LLM-backed system people depended on, and can tell us what broke
- You have strong opinions on agent design and have changed at least one in the last year
- You've trained or fine-tuned models when it was the right call, and you know when it isn't
- You write solid production Python
- You've owned a system or component and led work across multiple engineers and teams, with a design doc people actually read
- You write clear technical documentation, mentor other engineers, and present to technical audiences
The base salary range (or hourly wage range, if applicable) that Sentry reasonably expects to pay for this position is $240,000 to $400,000. Trusted by 200,000+ organizations, Sentry is today’s application monitoring standard and our team is building its AI-native future.
ABOUT THE ROLE
A strong and reliable platform is essential to scaling Sentry for the future. Our Platform organization is responsible for everything that powers Sentry, from cloud infrastructure and streaming systems to storage, deployment, and security. We own the core services and technical foundations that enable every product and engineering team at Sentry to move fast and build with confidence.
We’re looking for a Senior Staff Software Engineer to set technical direction across Sentry’s Platform organization and lead engineering work spanning infrastructure, streaming, and storage.
Reporting directly to the VP of Platform Engineering, you’ll partner with engineering and product leaders to identify where our platform needs to evolve, make architectural decisions across team boundaries, and lead those changes through production delivery. You’ll stay hands-on through system design, prototyping, and code while helping senior and staff engineers lead work across teams.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Set technical direction for platform initiatives spanning multiple teams, connecting architectural decisions to product needs and business priorities.
- Identify and lead changes addressing system bottlenecks, reliability risks, and architectural constraints.
- Own cross-team initiatives from problem definition and design through implementation, rollout, and evaluation.
- Make tradeoffs across reliability, performance, cost, operational complexity, and delivery speed.
- Stay hands-on where your contribution matters most, writing code, building prototypes, and helping teams resolve difficult implementation problems.

- Guide major architectural decisions and help teams resolve disagreements with clear reasoning and evidence.
- Mentor senior and staff engineers, strengthening their technical judgment and ability to lead across team boundaries.

- You bring structure to ambiguous problems and help teams agree on what to solve first.
- You pair architectural judgment with hands-on engineering and ownership through delivery.
- You build alignment across teams, challenge assumptions, and make decisions when priorities compete.
- You favor simple, maintainable designs and understand when added complexity is necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience setting technical direction across multiple engineering teams, aligning engineering and product leaders on architectural decisions, priorities, and tradeoffs.
- Track record of leading complex, cross-team initiatives from problem definition through production delivery, with measurable improvements in reliability, scalability, performance, or engineering productivity.
- 12+ years of software engineering experience, including substantial hands-on experience architecting, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems.
- Deep experience designing and operating production systems in cloud environments such as AWS or GCP, with ownership of architectural decisions and their operational outcomes.
- Strong hands-on software engineering skills, including writing production code and building prototypes to validate architectural approaches.
- Deep expertise in one or more of the following areas, with working knowledge across others:
- Cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, and infrastructure as code, such as Kubernetes and Terraform.
- Event streaming and real-time processing systems, such as Kafka, Flink, or Beam.
- Distributed storage and data systems, including OLAP/OLTP databases, blob storage, and caching.
- Ability to explain complex technical tradeoffs, build alignment across teams and senior leadership, and resolve architectural disagreements.
- Experience mentoring senior and staff engineers, strengthening their architectural judgment, and developing technical leadership across teams.
The base salary range Sentry reasonably expects to pay for this position is $260,000 to $400,000, plus an annual performance bonus of up to 20% of base salary. A successful candidate’s actual base salary (or hourly wage) amount will be determined by a variety of relevant factors including, without limitation, the candidate’s work location, education, work and other relevant experience, skills, and job-related knowledge.
