About the Team
Wolt's Shared Service Center in Budapest is home to a team of 40 people who keep our operations running across markets. Ten of them focus on one mission: getting German merchants to live on Wolt quickly and correctly. They own the onboarding journey from the moment a partner signs to the day they start receiving orders. Now we're looking for someone to lead them.
As Onboarding Team Lead, you'll be based in Budapest and work closely with our Onboarding Operations team in Germany, reporting to the Global Head of Business Process Outsourcing Management. You'll lead a team of 12 FTE, own the German onboarding pipeline, and make sure every partner gets a smooth, high-quality start on Wolt. The team is experienced and established, and it's ready for a leader who can raise the bar on speed, quality and process, while being its biggest advocate.
What you’ll be doing
You'll be responsible for how quickly and how well German merchants are onboarded onto Wolt. That means leading the people, owning the pipeline, and keeping a close eye on the numbers. You'll build a solid understanding of the full onboarding landscape, including POS integrations, gear workflows, commission changes and offboarding. You'll also be the go-to person when things get stuck.
Day-to-day in this role you’ll:
Lead, coach and develop a team of 12 FTE onboarding specialists, support them daily, and spot knowledge gaps and training needs.
Own the onboarding pipeline so it always reflects reality. New venues are assigned the same day, follow-ups and on-hold reasons stay up to date, and stalled cases get escalated or offboarded instead of left open.
Track the team's key onboarding KPIs, such as time to onboard and new live venues, so you always know where the team stands and can flag deviations early.
Work with Sales, Account Management, Product and the Onboarding Operations team in Germany to escalate blockers early and improve how we onboard.
Keep data quality high by validating issues yourself before escalating, sharing bug reports daily, and making sure partner information is accurate and complete.
Plan team capacity ahead of holidays, business trips and short weeks so no partner is ever left without an owner.
Our humble expectations
You have at least 2 years of experience leading a team of 8 or more people, including setting clear performance expectations and following up on them.
You have 3+ years of experience in operations in a fast-paced environment such as a marketplace, e-commerce or a shared service center.
You're fluent in both German and English, written and spoken, because you'll work daily with German partners and stakeholders.
You're comfortable working with data and use KPIs and dashboards to understand performance and make decisions.
You're structured and detail-oriented, and you keep pipelines, timelines and data accurate without being chased.
You take ownership, spot opportunities to improve processes, and drive changes independently.
What we offer
A key leadership role shaping how merchants in one of Wolt's biggest markets join the platform.
A team that's already up and running, so you can focus on raising the bar rather than starting from scratch.
Close collaboration with teams across Germany and Budapest, plus visibility across Sales, Account Management and Product.
Career growth opportunities in a fast-growing company, backed by comprehensive internal training.
Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion
We’re committed to growing and empowering a more inclusive community within our company, industry, and cities. Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of Supply Chain tools, systems, automation and processes.
Use data, analytical tools and AI to diagnose complex problems where multiple factors need to be considered and exercise sound judgement in determining the appropriate solution.
Proactively identify new business needs and improvement opportunities and develop proposals for how Supply Chain can address them.
Work closely with the Finland Supply Chain Analyst, sharing expertise, providing guidance and supporting development through informal mentoring and collaboration.
Collaborate with the regional Supply Chain team and wider Supply Chain community, contributing to cross-country projects, exchanging best practices and helping develop scalable ways of working.
Communicate clearly and proactively with stakeholders across Supply Chain, Category, Store Operations, Finance, Product and other relevant functions.
Manage several priorities and initiatives simultaneously in a fast-moving environment while maintaining a high level of quality and follow-through.
Take a hands-on approach and be willing to move between strategic analysis, problem solving and operational execution as required.
Demonstrate excellent business judgement and a practical, solution-oriented approach to getting things done.
Contribute positively to Wolt's culture and ways of working and be an active member of both the local and regional team.
Qualifications for the role
Strong experience in Supply Chain, inventory management, replenishment, demand planning or a closely related field, ideally within grocery, retail, e-commerce or another fast-moving environment.
Strong understanding of inventory and replenishment principles and the trade-offs between availability, stock levels, shrinkage and profitability.

Ability and willingness to share expertise, provide guidance and informally mentor less experienced colleagues without formal people-management responsibility.
Highly analytical, structured and detail-oriented while maintaining a strong understanding of the bigger commercial picture.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with several competing priorities.
Advanced skills in analytical and productivity tools such as Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel; experience with BI and Supply Chain systems is an advantage.

About the Team
We are looking for an experienced Manager, Tax Technology to lead tax platform projects for Wolt and Deliveroo within our growing Tax Team. As Wolt and Deliveroo onboard onto the global unified tax platform and a single tax calculation engine (Vertex), this role owns the functional tax leadership that turns business and VAT requirements into configured, tested, live capabilities, and leads the offshore Wolt & Deliveroo implementation team delivering that work day to day. As DoorDash continues to grow its international footprint, we are looking for a candidate with deep, hands-on experience in VAT regimes who can lead a team, collaborate cross-functionally, and own the delivery of tax features and new-platform feature / new-market / new-partnership launches across Wolt and Deliveroo.
About the Role
You will report to the Senior Manager of the Tax Calculation Platform & Mx Operations and lead tax platform and business projects for Wolt and Deliveroo. You will manage a team to deliver day-to-day VAT configuration and testing, and partner closely with Tax Engineering, the Wolt and Deliveroo Tax teams, Tax Product, and other stakeholders — gathering business and VAT requirements, translating them into tax-system functional requirements for configuration and testing, and reviewing Technical Design Documents (TDDs) to provide functional tax expertise back to Tax Engineering.
The primary focus of this position is end-to-end delivery of VAT tax solutions across the Wolt and Deliveroo platforms — new product, market, partnership launches and legislative changes, roadmap alignment with Wolt and Deliveroo's international expansion, and day-to-day leadership of the team executing that delivery — with an understanding of how data flows from upstream systems through the tax engine to downstream reporting. Rather than handing off requirements to the Vertex Center of Excellence team, you will apply your own Vertex knowledge to help influence the functional design and determine the specific Vertex configuration a solution requires. Familiarity with US sales and use tax, food and beverage, and retail tax context is valuable for alignment with the broader platform.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
Lead tax platform and business projects across the Wolt and Deliveroo platforms, including new product, market, partnership launches, and legislative changes.
Gather business and VAT requirements and translate them into tax-system functional requirements for configuration, testing and delivery.
Review BRDs, PRDs, and TDDs for VAT tax-system implications and provide functional tax expertise back to Tax Engineering.
Define testing requirements and oversee validations across unit, integration, E2E, shadow, and post-launch phases.
Align tax engine priorities and the integrated delivery plan with the Wolt and Deliveroo international market roadmaps, and represent tax platform status updates to Tax and Engineering leadership.
Trace VAT-relevant data from upstream systems through Vertex to downstream reporting and compliance.
Serve as the senior functional tax leader for Wolt and Deliveroo, escalating risk and driving cross-functional alignment across Tax, Product, Engineering, and Data.
Manage and develop a team supporting this area, allocating workload, establishing QA checkpoints, and providing structured knowledge transfer on complex processes.
We’re excited about you because…
You have 8+ years of indirect tax or indirect tax technology experience, with several years working directly in VAT regimes.
You are familiar with VAT tax requirements and can translate them into system requirements.
Hands-on experience implementing or configuring Vertex O Series, and ability to review Vertex configurations and testing documentation and provide feedback.
Hand-on experience implementing or configuring ERP tax integration (e.g. Netsuite) with Vertex tax engine.
Experience with multi-country VAT implementations and EU VAT compliance; familiarity with non-US indirect tax regimes more broadly is a plus.
Demonstrated people-leadership experience, including managing, coaching, workload delegation, and quality oversight.
You can review technical design documents and provide functional tax expertise to engineering and product.
You have familiarity with US sales and use tax, food and beverage, and retail tax context.
You understand how tax data flows from upstream transaction systems through a tax engine to downstream reporting, including both in-house systems or ERP system integration flows.
Program or project management experience across dependent teams, including building plans, milestones, and dependency maps, and driving them to completion.
Comfort operating cross-functionally and building trust with partner teams without always holding formal authority over their roadmaps.
Experience in use of SQL or Snowflake for data self-serve, issue investigation or testing validation.
Experience in use of API testing tools like Postman, SOAP UI and ability to read XML and JSON logs.
Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or Computer Science degree.
You are fluent in leveraging multiple AI tools on the market (e.g., Claude Cowork, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor) on a daily basis across all of your assigned tasks, and you actively look for creative ways to apply them to enhance processes and create efficiency gains.
Nice to Haves
Familiarity with Marketplace Facilitator laws.
Experience managing offshore teams across time zones.

About the Team
Cx App Foundations is a platform organisation within our global Cx organisation. It provides shared consumer foundations and platform capabilities used by engineering teams across Wolt, DoorDash, and Deliveroo. Within this organisation, the Velocity team owns the paved road for consumer app development across mobile and web: shared SDKs and client foundations, integration patterns and multi-brand customisation, migration playbooks and reference implementations, and developer tooling that makes building on shared foundations fast and safe. Our mission is to reduce the cost, time, and risk of building consumer experiences across platforms and brands. Product teams own customer-facing experiences; our job is to make sure they can spend their time on delivering delightful experiences. The team is AI-native: AI is a default part of how we design, build, and ship software.
About the Role
As the Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of experienced engineers across mobile and web, collaborating closely with product teams, design, and adjacent platform organisations across three brands. Your primary responsibility will be owning the team's roadmap and delivery of shared client foundations, and driving their adoption across the organisation, so that product teams ship delightful customer experiences without rebuilding the foundations under them. You will be a key player in keeping the team's operating model healthy: clear intake from stakeholders, predictable delivery, and support expectations that keep the platform from drifting into a general escalation queue. You will also guide architectural and system design decisions with your tech leads. You will stay hands-on: contributing code, reviews, and prototypes alongside the team is part of the job. This role is ideal for a leader who has run platforms, SDKs, or shared services for other engineering teams, communicates clearly across brands and time zones, and wants their impact measured through what other teams achieve with the foundations you ship.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will…
Own the platform roadmap - the shared SDKs, client foundations, and developer tooling the team ships - and sequence it against the migration and adoption goals of the three brands
Drive adoption of the shared foundations by partnering with product teams, running onboarding and rollout support, and making the supported path the easiest path
Lead, coach, and grow experienced mobile and web engineers, keeping growth conversations, calibration, and feedback loops running
Keep the team's operating model healthy: clear intake (stakeholder management, shared-platform, product-specific, or exception work), supported capabilities with entry criteria and support expectations, and predictable delivery
Guide architectural and system design decisions for client foundations that three brands and multiple app platforms depend on
Stay hands-on by contributing code and reviews alongside the team, and champion AI-native development practices
Grow the team through hiring
Our humble expectations
You have 3+ years of experience managing engineers, including a team with senior engineers
You have a solid background (5+ years) in mobile or web engineering, with enough technical depth to hold your own in architecture discussions about client foundations
You use AI tooling fluently in your day-to-day work and stay close to the code
You have run a platform, SDK, or shared service that other teams depend on, and know how to treat internal customers as customers
You work across boundaries naturally: product teams, design, other platform organisations, data/analytics and stakeholders in other locations and time zones
You hold a high bar for engineering quality and can navigate production incidents and release tradeoffs with calm structure
You are based in Helsinki, Finland
What we offer
A platform leadership role with real leverage: the foundations the team owns shape how consumer experiences get built across Wolt, DoorDash, and Deliveroo, and your roadmap decisions multiply across every product team that builds on them.
Next steps
The position will be filled as soon as we find the right person, so make sure to apply as soon as you realize you really, really want to join us!
The compensation will be a combination of monthly pay and DoorDash RSUs. The latter makes it exceptionally easy to be excited about our company growing and doing well, as you’ll own a piece of the pie.

Deploy targeted sourcing interventions or coordinate specialist sourcing support when pipeline volume declines.
Partner with low-volume recruiting teams and business leaders where work crosses operating-model boundaries.
Coordinate blockers across onboarding, background checks, training capacity, HR, and local operations.
Own market and business exceptions that require context beyond the standard platform workflow.
Support approved candidate-facing exceptions, including local-language communication, offer delivery, or low-volume work, while maintaining the standard platform workflow wherever possible.
Escalate recurring friction with evidence, volume, impact, and a recommended path to resolution.
Identify automation and AI use cases, adopt approved solutions, and track their effect on manual work and decision speed.
Maintain accurate portfolio documentation, decisions, risks, and source-of-truth reporting.
Contribute to continuous improvement of the Platform Hiring operating model through practical feedback and evidence from the Wolt Market portfolio.

You communicate clearly and proactively, with strong business judgment and a focus on candidate experience.
You can coordinate effectively across Operations, HR, Workforce Planning, Marketing, Employer Brand, and Learning and Development.
You're comfortable with Fountain, Greenhouse, dashboards, workflow automation, continuous improvement, and light program management.
