From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About Us
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data.
Together, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on.
Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions.
As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact.
During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.
About the Role
We're hiring an Engineering Manager to lead the Semantic Layer team in Bengaluru. You'll own the health, delivery, and growth of the team behind MetricFlow — building and coaching a group of engineers, setting technical direction in partnership with your leads, and ensuring one of the most important projects in the modern data stack keeps shipping with quality and momentum.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll spend most of your time growing people, running a healthy delivery process, and shaping strategy — but you'll stay close enough to the code and the architecture to make sound technical calls and earn the trust of a senior engineering team. You'll also be the steward of a public, community-facing open-source project, balancing the needs of internal roadmap and external contributors.
About the team
The Semantic Layer team owns the systems that turn dbt models into trusted, reusable business metrics. At the heart of this is
MetricFlow
— the open-source semantic engine that powers the dbt Semantic Layer. MetricFlow lets data teams define metrics once in code and consume them consistently across BI tools, notebooks, AI agents, and downstream applications.
This team is the steward of MetricFlow as an open-source project: shipping releases, reviewing community contributions, evolving the query compiler, and ensuring it integrates cleanly with the broader dbt ecosystem. The team works at the intersection of language design, query compilation, and distributed data execution — solving problems that directly shape how thousands of organizations measure their business.
What you'll do
Lead, coach, and grow a team of software engineers building MetricFlow — hiring, onboarding, career development, performance management, and day-to-day support.
Own delivery for the Semantic Layer team: planning, prioritization, execution, and predictable shipping of high-quality software.
Partner with your senior and staff engineers to set technical direction across metric definitions, query compilation, dimensional modeling, and SQL generation for multiple data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Redshift, and others).
Steward MetricFlow as an open-source project — set the bar for how the team triages issues, reviews external pull requests, manages releases, and engages the community on GitHub and in Slack.
Collaborate with engineering leaders across the dbt platform, dbt Core, and the Semantic Layer service to ensure MetricFlow integrates seamlessly with the rest of the dbt ecosystem.
Partner with product, design, and developer-relations counterparts to translate customer and community feedback into a clear, well-sequenced roadmap.
Drive engineering excellence in performance, reliability, and observability of metric query execution at scale.
Foster a culture of design docs, thoughtful code review, and durable engineering — shipping fast without shipping sloppy.
Skills we're looking for
Experience managing software engineering teams, including hiring, coaching, and performance management, with a track record of shipping production systems.
A strong engineering foundation — you've built and shipped production software yourself and can engage credibly on architecture and technical tradeoffs with a senior team.
Familiarity with the technical domain: SQL fundamentals, how analytical query engines and data warehouses execute queries, and systems that involve parsing, compilation, or transformation (query planners, DSL compilers, type systems, or rule-based engines).
Solid grasp of software design principles: clean APIs, modularity, testability, and backwards compatibility — and the judgment to hold a team to them.
Excellent written and verbal communication — you can explain complex tradeoffs clearly to engineers, product managers, and external community members.
Experience leading in a distributed, asynchronous team environment.
Nice to have
Experience leading or contributing to a popular open-source project, including managing a community of external contributors.
Familiarity with dbt, MetricFlow, LookML, Cube, or other semantic-layer technologies.
Background in data warehousing internals, query optimization, or analytical SQL dialects.
Experience with CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and release engineering for Python libraries.
Exposure to building developer-facing APIs, SDKs, or CLIs.
Why join us
Impact at scale: Your team's code will run inside the data platforms of tens of thousands of companies, including some of the world's largest enterprises.
Open-source ownership: You'll lead the team behind a foundational open-source project — visible, reviewed, and used by the global data community.
A team that values craft: We invest in design docs, code review, and durable engineering. We ship fast, but we don't ship sloppy.
Competitive compensation: Market-leading salary, equity, comprehensive health insurance, generous time off, learning and wellness stipends, and home-office support.

THE ROLE
The Transaction Monitoring (TM) Compliance Manager is a specialized financial crime risk and regulatory oversight role within the Second Line of Defence (2LoD) Financial Crime Compliance department. The successful candidate is responsible for providing independent oversight, objective evaluation, and compliance challenges regarding the efficacy of the firm's Transaction Monitoring framework.
Acting as a Second Line Subject Matter Expert (SME), the individual defines the regulatory envelope, assesses TM risk coverage, and reviews the governance, methodologies, and documentation underpinning detection mechanisms. This role does not own control execution or technical solution design; instead, it provides independent assurance to ensure that the firm’s monitoring practices remain aligned with defined risk appetite, internal policies, and global regulatory expectations (AML/CTF/CPF).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Compliance Oversight in Risk Assessment & Horizon Scanning
- Independent Review: Lead the ongoing 2LoD evaluation and challenge of the Compliance Risk Assessments (including EWRA and Product Risk Assessments) to ensure they accurately reflect current transaction data, typologies, and product utilization trends.
- Regulatory Surveying & Horizon Scanning: Proactively monitor, survey, and analyze shifts in the global regulatory landscape, financial crime trends, and regulatory enforcement actions to ensure the firm's TM Compliance risk assessment framework remains comprehensive and defensible.
- Gap Assurance: Evaluate the mapping of financial crime typologies against active transaction monitoring coverage to independently identify and escalate potential tracking gaps to senior management.
2. Independent Compliance Challenge & Assurance Framework
- Segmentation & Calibration Challenge: Provide independent, 2LoD challenge to data-driven customer segmentation methodologies executed by the First Line (1LoD), verifying alignment with merchant risk profiles.
- Compliance Oversight in Tuning & Optimization: Review and evaluate the methodologies, statistical testing parameters, and documentation for periodic "Below-the-Line" (BTL) and "Above-the-Line" (ATL) testing performed by the First Line to ensure robust governance.
- Residual Risk Opining: Formulate independent compliance opinions regarding residual risk acceptance, providing formal advisory input to governance forums and the Global MLROs.
3. Governance, Risk, & Reporting
- Model Risk Governance: Participate in the compliance review of TM systems and model validation exercises, independently assessing the transparency, logic, and regulatory defensibility of detection models against applicable guidance (e.g., FCA guidance on model risk management).
- Strategic Alignment: Provide regulatory compliance support to the Head of TM to assist in aligning roadmap initiatives with the compliance maturity framework.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with cross-functional stakeholders across lines of defense to communicate compliance requirements and support the adherence to established TM standards.
- Governance & Escalation Paths: Support the enhancement of the TM compliance governance framework to facilitate the structured, independent escalation of risk metrics to senior management.
- Metrics & KRI Oversight: Assist in the production of 2LoD Management Information (MI) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to track the effectiveness of the compliance oversight posture for the Head of TM and Global MLRO.
3. Data Integrity & Alert Lifecycle Assurance
- Data Lineage Assurance: Review documentation regarding data lineage, integrity, and completeness for feeds ingested into the monitoring architecture to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Lifecycle Evaluation: Evaluate the end-to-end alert workflow governance, risk scoring frameworks, and prioritization mechanics to ensure high-risk alerts adhere to compliant escalation paths.
- Feedback Loops: Analyze high-level alert outcomes and disposition trends to provide compliance feedback loops to technical teams, supporting iterative improvements in the quality of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience: Typically 5+ years of experience within Financial Crime Compliance, with a specific focus on the independent oversight, assurance, or evaluation of Transaction Monitoring frameworks within a regulated PSP, FinTech, or financial institution.
- 2LoD Competency: Proven experience operating within a Second Line of Defence capacity, demonstrating the ability to independently challenge technical teams, data models, and threshold tuning documentation objectively.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of the UK Money Laundering Regulations (MLRs), JMLSG Guidance, and international FATF standards.
- Systems & Data Literacy: Familiarity with data analysis methodologies, data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau), or basic query languages (e.g., SQL) sufficient to independently evaluate data testing outputs, methodologies, and audit trails.
- Education & Professional Certifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Criminology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. Professional certifications from recognized bodies (e.g., ICA International Diploma in AML, ACAMS) are highly regarded.

adjoe https://adjoe.io/ is redefining the future of mobile ads. Powered by advanced AI, first-party data and world-class engineers, we’ve perfected the offerwall experience for monetizing and scaling app publishers with solutions like Playtime and Arcade – now the fastest growing rewarded advertising channel globally – driving incremental engagement, retention, and revenue.
At the same time, we’re breaking into programmatic advertising with the intelligent bidding system of adjoe Ads. Together, this ecosystem connects app developers to over 600 million users worldwide for scalable growth. Backed by a $100 million investment from Bertelsmann and operating from offices in Hamburg, Boston, Singapore, and Tokyo, adjoe is defining the next stages of app and ad experience – right now. Join us.
We are seeking a Senior Solution Architect to support the product and technical dimension of adjoe’s most critical enterprise relationships. Acting as the "Technical Lead" for our top-tier partners, you will merge complex partner roadmaps with our modern stack – powered by Golang and Native SDKs – to drive technical excellence for over 100 million daily users.
Your mandate is to bridge the gap between our technology team in Germany and the partner’s vision. You will collaborate with senior product and engineering counterparts, acting as a point of contact for all technical discourse. This is a role of deep technical empowerment: You have direct access to our entire cloud infrastructure – from real-time monitoring and logging to our extensive data lakes – to maintain a comprehensive, full-picture view of the system state. From investigating complex architectural issues to supporting the rollout of new, high-impact features, you ensure our stacks evolve in perfect sync.
Working as a key collaborator with our internal Product and Tech departments, you will act as the technical gatekeeper and advocate for our largest enterprise accounts.
What You Will Do:
- Technical Strategy & Execution: Act as the primary consultant for enterprise partners, architecting the technical path to success. You will play a key role in guiding the co-creation of new products in partnership with our Germany based tech team, validating and optimizing technical solutions directly with our top partners to ensure they are battle-tested before reaching full-scale production.
- Orchestrate the Joint Technical Roadmap: Support the technical lifecycle of the partnership, leading complex feature rollouts and managing integration timelines.
- Root-Cause Architecture & Proactive Mitigation: Put on your "detective hat" to lead high-stakes troubleshooting by going beyond the surface of mobile app code to conduct deep-dive root-cause analysis, proactively identifying and solving integration blockers before they impact the partner’s revenue.
- Data-Driven Consultancy: Leverage SQL and Python (or others) to aggregate and visualize complex datasets, translating raw data into technical narratives that help partners reach their KPIs.
- Voice of the Customer: Translate partner feedback into precise technical requirements for internal Product teams to unlock global scalability.
- Enterprise Account Ownership: Serve as the dedicated technical point of contact for key enterprise accounts, owning relationships with senior stakeholders across product, engineering, and leadership. You will support executive-level technical discussions, manage escalations, and proactively drive account health.
Who You Are:
- 5+ years of experience in a technical-client-facing role in AdTech, Big Tech, or SaaS (TAM, Sales Engineering, or Solutions Architecture), with some exposure to the mobile ecosystem.
- Must have: Professional fluency in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
- Proven enterprise account experience: You have directly managed key enterprise accounts, navigating complex stakeholder environments and acting as a trusted technical advisor to senior client contacts.
- The Tech-Architect: Expert at translating high-level requirements into specifications. You are equally comfortable discussing SDK initialization and REST endpoint latency with a Senior Product Owner as you are debugging HTML/JavaScript.
- Analytical Powerhouse: Proficient in SQL and data visualization. You have extensive experience using analytics dashboards such as Grafana, Tableau, QuickSight, or Kibana to find the "why" behind the numbers and drive strategic technical decisions.
- Mobile & App Native: (Huge Plus) Familiarity with Java or experience building/supporting mobile apps with a "sixth sense" for debugging SDK integration issues.
- Cross-Functional Catalyst: A natural collaborator who can navigate internal Engineering & Product teams to find solutions in high-pressure environments.
- Nice to have: Experience with Software Development.
Fuel for the Journey: Benefits to Support Your Ambitions:
- Health & Dental Insurance: Comprehensive healthcare coverage provided through Care Plus (SOHO30 and ODONT20 plans).
- Life Insurance: Company-provided life and disability insurance coverage to support you and your family.
- Meal / Food Allowance: Monthly flexible allowance that can be used at restaurants, supermarkets, delivery services, and more.
- Transportation Allowance: Monthly support to help cover commuting costs.
- Wellhub (Gympass): Access to the Wellhub platform with exclusive corporate discounts on gyms and wellness services.
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP): SupportLinc is available at no cost to you and your family, offering confidential support and resources to promote well-being and work-life balance.
We welcome applications from people who will contribute to the diversity of our company.

About Wolt
At Wolt, we create technology that brings joy, simplicity and earnings to the neighborhoods of the world. In 2014 we started with delivery of restaurant food. Now we’re building the delivery of (almost) everything and you’ll find us in over 500 cities in 30 countries around the world. In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe.
Working at Wolt isn’t always easy, but it’s definitely exciting. Here you’ll learn more, build more, and ship more than in most other companies. You’ll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you’re a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life.
We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to help build and evolve our new Common case-management system, powering support-case handling across DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo.
You will own significant end-to-end initiatives across backend services and agent-facing tools: case lifecycle, routing and assignment, queue management, case evidence and history, and migration from legacy systems. This is a hands-on product engineering role for someone who can turn ambiguous customer and operational problems into durable technical solutions.
What you’ll do
Lead one or more project-level Case Management initiatives from discovery and design through rollout, measurement, and operational ownership.
Build scalable backend services and React-based internal tools used by support operators and administrators.
Design reliable case-management capabilities, including case creation, routing, assignment, transfers, audit history, notes, attachments, and queue-management workflows.
Help deliver feature parity with legacy platforms while safely migrating traffic across DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo.
Make and own technical decisions within your scope; write project-level design documents, identify dependencies and risks, and break work into parallelizable delivery plans.
Partner closely with Product, Operations, Support, Data, and other engineering teams to define the right customer problems and improve the roadmap.
Raise the quality bar through thoughtful design reviews, observability, testing, incident response, documentation, and reusable patterns.
Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and constructive feedback.
Must-have qualifications
Strong full-stack engineering experience, including production React and TypeScript experience.
Strong backend engineering experience, including designing and operating backend services, APIs, asynchronous workflows, and data models at meaningful scale.
Demonstrated ownership of complex, customer-facing or operations-critical projects from technical design through production rollout.
Hands-on experience using AI development tools to improve engineering productivity, while validating generated output for correctness, security, privacy, maintainability, and reliability.
Strong product judgment: able to translate ambiguous workflows and user needs into simple, maintainable technical solutions.
Proven ability to collaborate across functions, drive alignment, and communicate trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong software-engineering craft: testing, code review, observability, incident response, security, and operational readiness.
Comfortable working on systems with high correctness and auditability requirements, including traceability of decisions and changes.
A proactive mentoring mindset and willingness to raise team-wide engineering standards.
Nice-to-have qualifications
Go experience.
Experience with migration from legacy systems, gradual rollouts, traffic shadowing, and feature-parity programs.
Experience building internal tools or operational user interfaces.
Experience with high-volume, multi-region, or multi-tenant systems.
What success looks like
Delivers a major Case Management initiative with clear technical ownership, predictable execution, and measurable customer or business impact.
Improves the Common system’s reliability, usability, and maintainability while enabling safe migration from legacy case-management systems.
Helps move support traffic onto the Common system without reducing case-resolution quality.
Builds solutions that other engineers and operators can confidently reuse and operate.
Acts as a technical leader within the team: unblocks peers, improves engineering decisions, and strengthens cross-functional execution.

About the Role
We’re looking for a
Sr Software Engineer
to join the Platform Ops team (Platform Engineering) and enable developer productivity by building and improving developer tooling and environments, and by improving other productivity tools around observability. Our team builds the shared systems and workflows engineers rely on every day—internal developer environments and self-serve tooling that makes the recommended way to ship changes the easiest way. This is a platform tooling role with a focus is on reusable capabilities and self-service workflows adopted across teams.
You’ll also help develop AI-based workflows for productivity and efficiency, including automation that improves infrastructure operations (for example, faster triage, automated runbook steps, and better self-service for common issues). You’ll prioritize the highest-impact problems by looking at where time is being lost today (slow builds, flaky tests, manual release steps, repetitive operational work) and turning that into concrete projects. You’ll set clear success metrics up front and use them to guide design decisions and rollouts.
Expect to partner closely with engineering teams to drive adoption, document changes, and iterate based on feedback. You’ll drive cross-team work across internal tooling, developer environments, observability, and reliability, focusing on measurable improvements (for example: shorter lead time, fewer incidents, and faster recovery). You’ll add automation and enable developer workflows across all three major cloud environments (AWS, Azure, and GCP).
Over time, you’ll own medium-sized projects end-to-end: identify the highest-friction workflows with partner teams, build and ship improvements, roll them out safely, and iterate based on adoption and measurable outcomes (for example: faster builds, fewer flaky tests, shorter time to debug, and less operational toil). You’ll collaborate closely with Platform Engineering, Release Engineering, Security, and product engineering teams to make improvements that are easy to adopt and maintain.
What You’ll Do
Build internal tools and services in
Python
and/or
Go
Build tooling for our internal developer platform (self-service workflows, shared patterns, developer-facing interfaces)
Add automation and enable developer workflows across all three major cloud environments (AWS, Azure, and GCP)
Develop AI-based workflows that improve developer experience and reduce repetitive manual work, including efficiency gains in infrastructure operations
Improve developer feedback loops through better observability (metrics/logs/traces), making failures easier to diagnose
Automate common engineering workflows (scaffolding, environment setup, releases, operational runbooks)
Improve observability for platform services (metrics, logs, traces) to make issues easier to detect and debug
Integrate tools into existing workflows (CLI, Slack, GitHub, dashboards) where it reduces time-to-resolution
Participate in on-call/incident response as needed and drive follow-up automation to prevent repeat issues
Skills We’re Looking For
Professional software engineering experience in
Python
and/or
Go
Experience building developer productivity tooling (CI systems, build tooling, developer portals, workflow automation)
Experience with at least one cloud provider (
AWS
,
Azure
, or
GCP
)
Strong fundamentals: testing, code review, debugging, and operating production services
Ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-team environment
You'll have an edge if you have:
Kubernetes experience
Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/OpenTofu), including reusable modules and safe state management

- A minimum of [three] years of legal experience, combining time in private practice (ideally at a top-tier or recognised specialist firm) and in-house counsel experience, preferably within the technology, fintech, or financial services sectors.
- Demonstrated track record of drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements independently and to a high standard.
- Experience advising on commercial matters in a regulated industry is strongly preferred; familiarity with payments, card network rules, banking relationships, or financial services regulatory frameworks is a significant advantage.
- Strong commercial instincts and the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives, providing advice that is both legally sound and practically useful.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with both legal and non-legal audiences.
- A proactive, self-starting approach and the ability to manage a demanding and varied workload with competing priorities and drive projects from inception to execution as the primary legal point of contact.
- Demonstrated experience using AI-enabled legal and productivity tools to improve the quality, efficiency, and consistency of legal work is an advantage, together with sound judgment on appropriate use, confidentiality, and legal risk.
- Experience managing and partnering effectively with external counsel, including scoping instructions, supervising deliverables, and ensuring commercially practical, cost-effective advice aligned with business objectives.
What we offer
- A key, visible role within a high-performing legal team, with direct access to and partnership with senior business leadership.
- The opportunity to work on sophisticated, high-value commercial matters in a business that is growing rapidly across domestic and international markets.

At Wolt, we're constantly looking for ways to make our Support organization smarter, more efficient, and more scalable. Drive implementation of new initiatives while ensuring smooth adoption across teams.
Monitor key performance metrics to evaluate impact and identify further improvement opportunities.
Help standardize processes, improve operational efficiency, and share best practices across markets.
Review post launch performance of initiatives - identifying opportunities to improve further and course correcting in a timely manner.
Facilitate customer feedback on projects following launch - ensuring feedback loops are developed to pass information back to relevant teams.
Own deep dives on specific topics and leading updates with executive and senior stakeholders on specific issues (e.g. performance gaps, project updates).
Our humble expectations
We're looking for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, thrives in collaborative environments, and gets excited about turning ideas into measurable improvements.
Ideally, you'll bring:
Experience managing projects, programs, or change initiatives in a fast-paced operational environment, with
hands-on experience in contact center operations
.
At least manager-level leadership experience
, including leading teams and driving operational improvements.
Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to decisions, with (preferable) experience building dashboards and working with Cursor, Looker, and Snowflake.
Confidence using KPIs and operational metrics to identify opportunities and deliver continuous improvement.
A structured approach to planning, prioritization, and execution.
Excellent stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration, and communication skills, including the ability to influence without direct authority.
Full professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
Right to work in the country.
The following expertise is a big plus:
Experience working with AI-enabled solutions, tooling, automation, or platform implementations.
Experience leading complex, cross-functional projects.
Ownership of technology-driven or operational transformation initiatives.
Exposure to global or multinational organizations.
What we offer
This is an opportunity to work on initiatives that have a real impact across Wolt's Support organization. You'll collaborate with talented colleagues across multiple functions and countries, help shape how Support operates at scale, and see your ideas translated into meaningful improvements for both our teams and customers.
You'll join a collaborative environment where data, experimentation, and continuous improvement are part of everyday work—and where you'll have plenty of opportunities to grow your skills, expand your scope, and influence the future of Support operations.
Next steps
If qualified, our recruitment process begins with an initial screening conversation conducted by the Talent Acquisition team, followed by a role-specific interview to assess your experience and problem-solving approach.
If you progress to the next stage, you will receive a take-home assignment. You will then present your assignment in a follow-up meeting with the Hiring Manager and a Subject Matter Expert, where we’ll discuss your approach, reasoning, and recommendations in more detail. We aim to keep the process transparent, structured, and focused on giving you the opportunity to showcase your skills and thinking.
If you are service-minded, enjoy taking ownership, and thrive in an environment where you proactively identify solutions rather than wait for direction — we’d love to hear from you! 💙

We’re committed to growing and empowering a more inclusive community within our company, industry, and cities. During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.
About the role
Fivetran + dbt Labs is hiring a Senior Manager to lead the Product Design team responsible for dbt Labs. This role reports to the Director of Product Design.
This is an exciting time to join! As Fivetran and dbt Labs come together, you will help shape a coherent product experience, guide the design team through change, and influence the future of AI-powered data products. You will join a strong and talented design organization whose members care deeply about their craft, the practitioners they serve, and one another.
This is a people management and product leadership role for a design leader who wants to shape technical data products at scale. You will manage and develop a team of product designers, shape the UX strategy for dbt products, and partner with Product and Engineering leaders to define how data teams build, transform, govern, and trust their data. You will lead through strategy, coaching, direction, and cross-functional partnership.
What you'll do
Lead the dbt product design team
You will manage and coach a team of product designers who work across dbt platform and CLI-based products. Designers own the full design process from problem definition and research to UX/UI and partnering with eng/PM through delivery. You will build a culture where designers feel supported, challenged, and empowered to do thoughtful, high-quality work for deeply technical users. You will set clear expectations, give actionable feedback, support career growth, and create the conditions for strong design craft.
Own UX strategy for dbt
You will define and drive UX strategy across dbt’s product experience. You will identify the highest-impact experience opportunities, connect design priorities to product outcomes, and partner with Product and Engineering leadership as a strategic peer in roadmap and product direction conversations.
Provide design direction for technical data products
You will set direction for design work across complex workflows used by technical practitioners. You do not need to be an engineer, but you do need enough technical fluency to understand the domain, evaluate tradeoffs, and partner credibly with engineering leaders. You should be comfortable discussing data workflows, ELT, analytics engineering, developer tools, and infrastructure-oriented product experiences.
Shape AI and agentic product experiences
You will lead design strategy for AI-powered and agentic experiences within dbt. This requires more than adding AI features to existing workflows. You will help the team design systems that make AI assistance understandable, useful, and safe for high-stakes technical work. As dbt builds experiences where both humans and AI agents interact with the same data infrastructure, you will also think about how product surfaces need to work for both personas.
Help integrate Fivetran and dbt Labs design
You will play an important role in co-creating a unified product experience and design culture. This is a change-leadership role. You will partner with the Director of Product Design to merge systems, processes, and culture. You will help designers navigate a new organizational context, build strong cross-functional relationships, and create clarity during a period of product and company evolution.
Build an AI-native design operating model
You will operationalize AI across the design lifecycle (from research synthesis and ideation to prototyping, documentation, and design QA). You will establish shared workflows, quality standards, and review practices that help the team move faster without compromising product quality or consistency. In partnership with the Director of Product Design and Product and Engineering leadership, you will also define cross-functional standards for when AI-generated work requires design review, ensuring clear expectations for human oversight, quality, and continuous improvement.
What we're looking for
Required experience
You have 8+ years of product design experience and at least 5 years managing product designers.
Strong people management skills, including coaching, performance development, direct feedback, and team culture building.
Strong cross-functional leadership with Product, Engineering, Research, Data, Marketing, and executive stakeholders.
Deep care for craft, with a leadership style focused on direction, critique, strategy, and coaching rather than acting as the primary IC designer.
Designing for, or leading teams that design for, technically complex products such as ELT, data infrastructure, analytics engineering, developer tools, cloud platforms, data governance, observability, or adjacent enterprise infrastructure products.
Designing AI-powered or agentic product experiences. You understand the difference between a lightweight AI feature, a copilot, and an agentic workflow.
Experience operationalizing AI workflows for product design teams that goes way beyond AI prototyping. You have defined how designers use AI across the design lifecycle and have established the workflows, standards, review practices, and quality thresholds needed to make AI-assisted work effective at team scale.
Owning UX strategy for a meaningful product area. You can show how your design strategy influenced product direction, not just how your team delivered screens.
Strong technical fluency. You can reason about complex systems, understand engineering constraints, and discuss tradeoffs with Product and Engineering partners.
Experience designing for expert technical users such as data engineers, analytics engineers, software engineers, platform teams, or security teams.
