Scorewarrior is a game developer and publisher based in Limassol, Cyprus. The company focuses on the 4X strategy genre, with an ambitious goal to grow its hit game, Total Battle, to become the No.1 strategy game in the world. Our team consists of 200+ passionate, talented, self-driven, and continually developing professionals who love making high-quality games.
Our product: We are currently working on Total Battle — an MMO 4X strategy game with a deep political system and lots of player interaction. Players take on the role of a commander and need to develop their city, forge alliances, fight against monsters, and conquer other players. We're constantly developing new game mechanics, and the project is continuing to grow.
Our game project has a code base of ~300k SLOC and consists of multiple services running in several hundred instances. The game services are a sharded system for horizontal scaling.
Our team is looking for both Middle and Senior specialists with confident knowledge of C++ and design principles to work on creating new game features for a large-scale multiplayer project with long-term gameplay.
Our team's objective and the challenge they face is to create an outstanding technical design that ensures quality, flexibility, and simplicity in the development of in-game features.
Tasks:
- Design and implement solutions for new game mechanics — based on documentation from game designers, create a technical design and implement it.
- Prepare RFC documents describing your approach and discuss them with the team before implementation.
- Deliver your solution to production and ensure it runs smoothly by monitoring its behavior after deployment.
- Refactor and optimize existing functionality to improve performance, maintainability, and scalability.
- Perform code reviews for other team members and follow team coding guidelines and best practices.
- Create functional prototypes to validate ideas and mechanics when necessary.
- Write and maintain technical documentation for implemented features and decisions.
- Participate in team meetings and discussions to stay aligned on priorities and progress.
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills and initiative.
- 3+ years of experience developing in C++ in a product-oriented company
- At least 2 years of backend development experience (not necessarily in C++)
- Solid knowledge of software design principles and ability to apply them in practice.
- Ability to analyze and decompose complex tasks into smaller, manageable steps.
- Practical experience with network and multithreaded programming
- Practical experience with relational databases
- Proficiency in Linux environments for development and debugging.
- Knowledge or willingness to learn Python for developing tools and automation.
The following would also be to your advantage:
- Having samples of code that you can show us.
- Knowledge of other high-level programming languages (for general awareness).
- Practical experience applying Domain-Driven Design in real-world projects
- Hands-on experience building applications using Akka.NET http://Akka.NET, Microsoft Orleans, or similar actor-based frameworks
We use:
- C++20, Clang, and CMake.
- Boost — only for the library, not for game code.
- PostgreSQL.
- GitLab, TeamCity, Ansible.
- SonarQube, Clang-Tidy, Clang-Format.
- Onboarding, coding conventions.
- Python for utilities.
- Linux.
Our technical developments:
- A library/framework of ready-made solutions for creating game features.
- ORM — allows us not to have to write code for saving to the DB.
- A code generator for a binary RPC protocol and ORM.
- A pub/sub event system for game clients.
- Telemetry that allows for real-time product status tracking (through Grafana).
- An expression interpreter for flexibility in game configuration.
- HotReload environment, with everyday game updates.
- Sync and Async network designs.
- Internal Event System.
- Internal persistent and transactional message system.
- R-tree based world map.
What we offer and our benefits:
- A team of professionals with a passion for gamedev and a drive to make Total Battle the #1 strategy MMO game.
- An excellent remuneration package, including a 13th salary.
- Full relocation coverage for you and your family to Cyprus (Limassol).
- A modern, sunny office close to the sea.
- Private health insurance for you and your family members.
- A monthly pre-school, school, and university allowance for employees' children.
- Lunch compensation.
- A sports and fitness allowance.
- Company-funded personal development opportunities (professional and language courses, books, etc.).
- Bonuses for outstanding results, years of service, marriage, and childbirth.
- Friendly monthly office parties and epic annual offsite company birthday and Christmas celebrations.

HEALTH CAN’T WAIT.
Not for symptoms to get worse. Not for a six‑month appointment. Not for a system to catch up. But that’s exactly how healthcare works today. You wait, until you can’t.
Alan exists to end the wait.
Health is a universal right, and we believe this right can only become real when it’s coupled with prevention. We need to stop treating health as something we repair and start treating it as something we build, every day. It’s not solely a question of willpower. It’s the healthcare system itself that needs to work for everyone, in a sustainable way.
So we are building the new standard in prevention insurance. Alan is the first company that integrates insurance, prevention, and care into a single, acclaimed user experience.
We are on an incredible journey to build a global leading company, with a unique culture https://alan.com/en/careers. We already partner with 40K+ companies of all sizes, serving more than 1M+ members, and have reached €800M+ in ARR.
Prevention as the new norm. That's what we're building with our team of 1000+ people. If it speaks to you: we're hiring across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada. And beyond.
⭐ BUILD THE AI-NATIVE COMPANY, FOR REAL
Alan has spent 10 years developing a distinctive way of working: radical transparency, written culture, distributed decision-making, no managers, no meetings by default. This wasn't just philosophy. It was a deliberate architectural choice, and it made Alan one of the most productive companies in European tech.
Now, agentic AI empowers us to make it much more personalized. The principles that made Alan productive become the foundation for a much more ambitious journey: a company where AI agents handle organizational complexity, surface the right context instantly, and let every person focus on the work that matters.
As a Software Engineer on this team, you will:
- Build the AI-powered internal platform that every Alaner uses daily to navigate the company, find context, and take action.
- Design and ship intelligent agents that automate real organizational workflows: onboarding, knowledge retrieval, performance alignment, decision support.
- Push LLMs into production for structured reasoning, agentic task execution, and deep integration with internal tools.
- Define the primitives and abstractions of AI-native work, the patterns that scale across every team and every country Alan operates in.
- Replace generic tools (HRIS, performance reviews, IAM) with opinionated, Alan-native software that compounds with our culture.
- Build and scale our Identity & Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and user lifecycle across 25+ systems.
- Collaborate with product, design, security and leadership to turn Alan's cultural principles into software that amplifies them.
WHY THIS ROLE IS SPECIAL
- Alan's written, transparent, async culture generates an extraordinary volume of structured organizational knowledge. Most companies can't feed AI agents with high-quality internal data. Alan already can.
- The team is building a full AI-native operational layer from scratch, not adding copilots to legacy tools.
- Every Alaner uses what you ship, every day. The feedback loop between building and impact is immediate.
- The work sits at the frontier of applied AI: agents, retrieval-augmented generation, structured outputs, tool use, human-in-the-loop design.
- The ambition goes beyond Alan. The patterns you build here could define how high-performance companies operate in the AI era.
🛠 YOUR PLAYGROUND
- Stack: Python/Flask, React, PostgreSQL, plus deep integration with LLM APIs and internal AI infrastructure.
- What you'll do: design and ship AI-native tools that power how Alan works. automated workflows, organizational navigation, agentic assistants.
- Impact: your work shapes the daily experience of every Alaner and builds the playbook for the AI-native company.
👥 WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Software engineers with +5 years of experience, ideally with backend or full-stack experience.
- Genuinely excited about AI and eager to explore what LLMs, agents, and retrieval systems can do inside a real product.
- Comfortable building in fast-moving territory where the right abstractions don't exist yet.
- Well-versed in OOP languages (Python, Java, C#) and modern web technologies.
- Fluent in English (French is a plus but not required).
- Curious, self-starting, humble, collaborative, and eager to grow.
🙌 PERKS & BENEFITS
- Fair rewards & equity packages.
- Flexible office & remote options.
- Top-tier equipment: MacBook Pro, monitor, noise-canceling headphones.
- Flexible vacation & hours.
- Comprehensive healthcare for you, children, and partners.
- Transport support and coaching for personal growth.
- Training budget for conferences, courses, books.
- Extended parental leave for all parents.
🔄 RECRUITMENT NOTE
🌟 We hire people, not roles. Don't worry if you don't check every box. High potential and curiosity matter most. We may even suggest another team if we see a better fit.

With offices in North America, LATAM, and EMEA, we partner with clients worldwide.
Our work centers on two verticals — Financial Services & Insurance and Healthcare & Life Sciences — where we deploy five pre-built AI Blueprints: Submission Flow, Portfolio Lens, Asset Flow, Revenue Flow, and Evidence Lens. Each Blueprint rebuilds a critical business process front to back, shipped from working code and tuned to a client's specific book, regulators, and operating posture.
Our team holds 100+ AWS certifications, is Claude Code certified, and co-delivers Anthropic's Agentic SDLC program, Cowork Activation, and AI Blueprint engagements.
Where this role sits
You will work in a small, senior pod alongside an FDX; our delivery arc is Sprint → Enable → Realize:
Forward Deployed Executive (FDX)
owns the commercial relationship and the business outcome. Works alongside the client's leadership or C-suite level to move the client's KPIs — revenue growth, cost reduction, risk reduction.
Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE)
embeds with a client to change how that client operates. You own the method; nobody hands you a ticket. You map the client workflow as it actually happens, identify the business problem underneath it, build a working AI solution, present to the client in the language of outcomes, and transfer it. Provectus maintains industry Blueprints — working systems that have already shipped for a client in the same industry — so you begin from running code and tuning it to this client's specific book, regulators, and operating posture. You will be measured on whether the Business Unit's number moved, not on hours or scope delivered.
Requirements:
Mindset
Proactive and self-directed; identify problems before they're handed to you
Comfort with ambiguity and ownership. Engagements start underspecified by design. Closing that gap is the job
B2+ English, comfortable collaborating across distributed, multicultural teams
Client Engagement
You are willing to spend time understanding and doing someone else’s job on the client's side before you write a line of code
Credible with senior stakeholders — you can hold a redesign conversation with a BU head and a scoping conversation with a CTO, presenting outcomes to them
You can produce a scoped, phased delivery plan with clear deliverables, dependencies, and risks — and estimate what it will cost to build and to run
Technical depth
7+ years building and running production systems.
Solid AI/ML foundations. You understand what the models do well enough to reason about failure modes
Designed and shipped to production LLM applications and agentic workflows — not demos, not POCs, not notebooks
Agentic orchestration: multi-step workflows, graph-based orchestration, tool use, state management, and recovery from partial failure
Experience with LLM APIs (Anthropic, AWS Bedrock, or OpenAI) and agent frameworks.
Experience building and optimizing RAG systems in production
Strong engineering fundamentals — dropped into an unfamiliar codebase or language, you’re productive. Python and/or TypeScript proficiency; depth matters more than stack.
Experience in making and defending architectural trade-off decisions
Hands-on AWS production depth: Bedrock, Bedrock AgentCore, Lambda, ECS, S3, SQS, ECR, or similar. GCP or Azure is a plus
Cloud-native delivery: containers, ECS or Kubernetes, IaC, and CI/CD applied to AI pipelines
You evaluate. You have built or owned an eval suite for a non-deterministic system, and you can explain what you measured, how you produced ground truth, and what gated a release
Model and agent monitoring, drift detection
Cost and latency discipline: model tiering, caching, and the ability to say what a workload costs to run before it runs
Hands-on production experience with the Claude ecosystem — Claude Code, CLAUDE.md, hooks, skills files. Spec-driven development — writing the intent, constraints, and acceptance criteria before you let an agent build — is a strong plus
MCP: you can say why an agent would prefer it to a REST integration. Having authored a server is a plus
What you’ll do:
Take the seat
Sit with the client and the Forward Deployed Executive at the start of an engagement. Learn the function from inside, not from a requirements doc, and redesign the function from first principles.
Reach working fluency in a new domain — insurance underwriting, healthcare revenue cycle, asset flow.
Build
Design and ship production GenAI systems into the customer’s environment (cloud-native data, LLM-based, and agentic AI solutions). Implement and optimize RAG systems for production use cases
Build the evaluation harness before you build the feature. Define what working means, instrument it, and let the evals drive the design.
Write production code across the stack — AI, backend services, data pipelines. We choose tools to fit the customer.
Take systems to production on AWS (GCP or Azure where the customer requires it): containerised, CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and maintainable after we leave. Hand the system over to the client.
Start from the blueprint, and feed the blueprint. What you learn in the field becomes the baseline the next engagement starts from.
Lead architecture reviews, produce technical design documents, and contribute to standards. Mentor engineers and share knowledge across the team.
Own the outcome.
Work in a pair with a FDX who carries the Business Unit’s KPIs. Your work is measured against the same number.
Own the technical direction of technical proposals and scoping. Drive adoption. Change management is part of the engineering job here.
Be credible with the customer’s engineers and their executives.
Shape what we commit to before we commit to it.
Nice to Have:
Prior experience as a founder, CTO, or engineering leader who has chosen to return to individual contribution
Experience in one of the industries: financial services, insurance, healthcare
Consulting, professional services, or other embedded customer-facing delivery
A2A: you can explain agent-to-agent interoperability
AWS and Claude Code Certifications
CI/CD pipeline experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
Experience in an additional language (Go, TypeScript, or Rust)
Experience with Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, Kafkа
What We Offer:
The chance to shape how leading enterprises across LATAM, Europe, and North America adopt AI, from strategy through first deployment
A forward-deployed model working in small, senior teams alongside Principal Architects and Forward Deployed Engineers
A growing AI delivery practice where you help build the tooling and frameworks, not just use them
Remote-friendly culture
Internal training programs with full support for Claude, AWS, and other professional certifications, conference attendance
Career growth; we actively develop our engineers
Access to the latest AI tools and premium subscriptions
Long-term B2B collaboration
Private medical insurance or a budget for your medical needs
Paid sick leave, vacation, and public holidays
Equipment and all the tech you need for comfortable, productive work
How we hire:
Intro conversation. The role, your background and aspirations, tech questions.
Technical interview with live engineering sessions. Real problems, your own editor, you may use an LLM assistant
HR Interview. Soft skills and expectations
HM interview. Tech questions; a live engineering session is also possible

Who We Are
At OKX, we believe that the future will be reshaped by crypto, and ultimately contribute to every individual's freedom.
OKX is a leading crypto exchange, and the developer of OKX Wallet, giving millions access to crypto trading and decentralized crypto applications (dApps). OKX is also a trusted brand by hundreds of large institutions seeking access to crypto markets. We are safe and reliable, backed by our Proof of Reserves.
Across our multiple offices globally, we are united by our core principles:
We Before Me
,
Do the Right Thing
, and
Get Things Done
. These shared values drive our culture, shape our processes, and foster a friendly, rewarding, and diverse environment for every OK-er.
About the Role
We're looking for a technical lead who can own the frontend across OKX's core crypto business verticals. You'll be deeply involved in the full frontend delivery lifecycle across Trading, Web3, Payment, and beyond — not just writing code, but helping teams and products find the right direction, make the right calls, and execute with speed and precision.
This role demands the rigor of an engineer, the strategic thinking of a product manager, and the market instincts of a crypto practitioner. You don't need to carry a full-stack title, but you must genuinely understand frontend, have enough backend fluency to hold your own in architecture discussions, and — above all — understand the business.
Core Responsibilities
Business & Team Leadership
Own the overall frontend team across core business verticals including Trading and Payment, covering hiring, development, and pipeline building. Partner effectively with Product, Backend, Security, and Compliance — driving cross-functional outcomes through technical judgment, not just execution.
Product Delivery & Technical Execution
Lead technical design and delivery for core business features including trading system frontend experience, wallet and asset management, AI-powered trading products, payment gateway integrations, and KYC/AML frontend implementation. Stay deeply sensitive to business metrics and user experience, making sound trade-offs between speed and quality.
Product & Engineering Thinking in the AI Era
Demonstrate deep understanding of how AI is reshaping product paradigms — changing user expectations, product form factors, and R&D efficiency. Integrate AI into product decisions and design, not merely as a productivity tool.
Technical Judgment & Standard-Setting
Drive tech stack alignment and evolution. Proactively identify and address technical risk. Establish high engineering quality standards in complex crypto security contexts — private key security, frontend attack prevention, compliance auditing, and more.
Cross-Team Influence
Build dual technical and business influence at the company level. Communicate technical value and business judgment clearly to engineers, product managers, and senior leadership alike. Participate in industry engagements to attract high-potential talent who are genuinely passionate about crypto.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or above in CS or related field; 10+ years of engineering experience including 5+ years managing technical teams; solid full-stack capabilities with frontend depth
Deep command of core frontend technologies (React/Vue internals, engineering toolchains, performance optimization, cross-platform solutions), with enough backend and API fluency to drive substantive technical discussions
Proven track record leading frontend for products with DAU 1M+ in high-concurrency, high-availability environments
Demonstrated experience driving cross-team collaboration and standard adoption through technical influence rather than organizational authority
Industry Background (Partial Core)
(Core)
Genuine understanding of and enthusiasm for crypto — familiar with CEX/DEX trading mechanics, Web3 wallet and signing mechanisms, and mainstream payment gateway ecosystems
Experience owning frontend delivery for trading, fintech, payments, or crypto products; comfortable navigating the tensions between compliance, security, and user experience
Familiarity with the Web3 frontend ecosystem (ethers.js / wagmi / viem, WalletConnect, EVM contract interactions, etc.)
Global product experience — understands the complexity of multi-language, multi-currency, multi-jurisdiction compliance requirements
Engineering Competencies for the AI Era (Core)
Deep understanding of how AI is reshaping product design; can integrate AI into product decisions rather than treating it purely as a development accelerator
Strong ability to model and frame complex problems; defines the right problem boundaries and system abstractions before reaching for solutions
Proven ability to constrain, guide, and evaluate AI outputs — decomposing complex engineering requirements into AI-executable task sequences
Experience establishing team-level AI working patterns; familiar with and having practiced AI Spec-Driven Development
Maintains high standards for code quality and system design integrity alongside — not despite — AI-assisted development
Soft Skills (Core)
Strong ownership: treats team goals as personal goals — proactive, accountable, clears obstacles without being asked
Sound judgment: makes high-quality decisions under incomplete information — decisive and accountable
Execution muscle: makes things actually land, not just live in decks and proposals
Fast learner: thrives in a fast-moving industry; rapidly absorbs new technologies, business dynamics, and regulatory shifts and converts them into team action
Bilingual: fluent English for technical discussions, documentation, and international collaboration (written and verbal at working proficiency)

Our brands – including AutoTrader, OLX, Otomoto Property24, and more – are loved by millions. And we're backed by Prosus, one of the world's largest tech investors.
Join OLX and see how far you can go.
Join Our Team as an AI-native Staff Backend Engineer!
Join one of our cross-functional teams in Motors, Real Estate, OLX Classifieds, or Platforms, working remotely from Portugal.
Are you someone who is craving scalable problems and dealing with optimizations?
You'll work with a creative, critical, and well-organized team from the comfort of your house, but as close as we have ever been!
You will play a key role in enabling our organisation to scale efficiently.
Who we are looking for:
You can use agentic workflows (Claude Code, Cursor Agent, or equivalent) as your default, not as a novelty.
You practice context engineering, not just prompt engineering; you design the full information architecture an AI agent needs to succeed: repo structure, CLAUDE.md / AGENTS.md configs, relevant code context, memory, and tool access.
You understand model routing trade-offs (e.g., when to use Haiku vs. Sonnet vs. Opus) and multi-agent orchestration.
Strong ownership instinct: AI output is a first draft, not a deliverable; you validate, refactor, and take full accountability.
You have strong Coding and Computer Science Fundamentals. Roughly ⅔ of your time will be hands-on technical work: designing solutions, steering and reviewing AI-generated code, developing new ideas, and reviewing others' contributions. The rest goes to cross-team influence, mentoring, and strategic alignment.
Strong background experience in Golang, Java/Kotlin (preferred technologies), and able to work with PHP. Flexible and capable of adjusting to changing project requirements, roles, and backend technologies as needed.
Scalable Systems Expertise. Experience with large-scale web applications, an economic-thinking mindset, and being able to design well-bounded future-proof domain systems, aligned with the business objectives.
Deep expertise in scalable distributed systems, CI/CD, RESTful and GraphQL APIs, AWS, and relational + NoSQL databases.
Big-picture thinker: aligns technical decisions with business strategy, influences without authority.
Clear communicator in English across engineering, product, and leadership audiences.
Self-starter who identifies what needs doing and takes initiative without waiting to be asked.
Skilled Technical Leader and Mentor: Guide and support engineers by setting a strong example. As a Staff Engineer, you are a role model, leading by example and through your expertise.
What you will be doing:
Architect context pipelines for AI agents: curate what enters the context window (repo boundaries, domain knowledge, test outputs, CI feedback) so agents produce reliable, mergeable code, not just plausible code.
Prepare task specifications that are agent-actionable (clear acceptance criteria, referenced modules, explicit constraints)
Design and maintain agent-ready systems: well-bounded repos, comprehensive test suites as guardrails, CI/CD pipelines with structured output agents can parse and act on.
Serve as an AI Champion: join and strengthen our growing AI Champion community, contribute to workshops, curate effective agentic workflows, and mentor engineers on AI-assisted practices. Contribute to org-level AI tooling evaluations and OLX AI practices repositories.
Drive active migration from a legacy monolith to microservices, owning decisions on bounded domain decomposition. Working on making agentic workflows effective across a codebase whose boundaries are actively being redefined.
Set the bar for GraphQL API design, RESTful contracts, database schema, and CI/CD quality across the tribe.
Work with product and engineering leadership to identify high-value problems, propose initiatives, and drive impactful technical direction without direct authority
Guide senior engineers in managing and reducing technical debt with AI as an accelerator, not a shortcut.

ABOUT DOCKER
Docker has been one of the most loved brands in developer tooling, trusted by more than 20 million monthly users and over 20 billion container image pulls. From solo founders to the world's largest companies, developers rely on Docker to build, share, and run their applications across our suite of products including Docker Desktop, Docker Hub, and Docker Scout.
We are a globally distributed, remote-first team building the tools that define how software gets built and delivered. As AI agents redefine software development, Docker is at the center of that shift, providing the sandboxed environments, verified images, and secure infrastructure that make autonomous workflows trustworthy by default.
_______________________________________________________________________
Docker is shipping a wave of new products this year, and we’re investing heavily in the platform underneath all of it. That platform supports hundreds of engineers and carries high-scale production traffic every day — and it has grown faster than its foundations. This year is about closing that gap.
Right now, too much of that work leans on a handful of experts unblocking the same provisioning and operational workflows by hand. The top priority for this role is turning that into paved roads: self-service systems with clear ownership, safe defaults, strong guardrails, and adoption we can measure — a platform teams trust enough to stop thinking about, so they can focus on their products instead of ours.
The concrete goal is on this year’s roadmap: spinning up a new region or application environment should take hours, not days. Getting there means building real multi-region, cross-account networking and a continuous-deployment flow teams can trust, then a self-service layer on top. We’re the container company building our own internal platform, so the bar for the easy path also being the safe path is high.
You’d join a team of four, growing to seven this year — this is one of those hires. We’re looking for a senior engineer who can own significant parts of this platform end to end, drive projects to real production adoption, and raise how the whole team builds.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a senior, deeply hands-on role. You’ll own significant components, drive projects from design through production adoption, and shape the platform’s technical direction while helping teammates grow. Concretely, you will:
- Turn ambiguous infrastructure problems into clear designs and working systems — contributing to RFCs and architecture reviews, and driving your projects to done.
- Build self-service capabilities and platform APIs (primarily in Go) for onboarding, provisioning, deployment, observability defaults, and day-2 operations — with contracts and docs teams actually use.
- Apply and help shape delivery standards with Terraform, GitOps on Argo CD, progressive rollout, and strong testing — including the continuous-deployment flow we’re missing today.
- Strengthen the multi-tenant EKS foundations for reliability, security, scale, and cost: Envoy Gateway ingress, traffic routing, and multi-region, cross-account connectivity.
- Improve SLOs, alerting, and incident follow-up on Grafana Cloud so production gets safer and less dependent on heroics.
We measure this work by outcomes the consuming teams feel: how fast they can provision and ship, how much they can do without us, and how reliably it all runs.
AI-ASSISTED OPERATIONS
We’re investing in AI-assisted and agentic workflows to cut operational toil, and we care that they stay safe, auditable, and human-reviewed. You’ll help shape where they earn their place and where they don’t. Early targets:
- Alert enrichment and incident context-gathering: assembling the relevant signals, history, and runbook so the on-call engineer starts with context instead of a blank page.
- Runbook-assisted diagnosis and remediation recommendations, with a human in the loop on anything that changes production.
- Onboarding and readiness assistants that answer the questions our experts answer today.
If you’ve built operational automation and have a healthy skepticism about where automation belongs, this is a place to put both to work.
ON-CALL
Operational ownership is part of the job. You’ll join the rotation after onboarding and shadowing, and help improve on-call itself: better alerts, stronger runbooks, less toil, and blameless postmortems aimed at prevention.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of hands-on software engineering in backend, infrastructure, or platform engineering, though we weight real depth and impact more heavily than exact tenure.
- Strong software engineering in Go or a similar language: design, testing, debugging, review, and long-term maintainability.
- A track record of building, shipping, and operating cloud services or infrastructure in production.
- Deep expertise in at least one of Kubernetes, networking, cloud platforms, reliability engineering, or developer platforms — plus solid Linux and production-ops fundamentals.
- Experience shaping technical direction and working effectively across teams.
- Clear written and verbal communication in a remote environment (RFCs, design docs, incident writeups).
- Bachelor’s in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have: EKS and ingress/CNI/service-mesh experience; observability with OpenTelemetry/Prometheus/Grafana; CI/CD and progressive delivery (GitHub Actions, Argo CD, canaries); driving migrations or adoption programs across teams.
You don’t need every item here. We value strong systems judgment, real depth in at least one area, and curiosity across the rest.
WHAT TO EXPECT
First 30 days
- Build context, meet partner teams, ship your first change, and shadow on-call.
First 90 days
- Own a meaningful platform component or project with a clear plan and metrics, and take an improvement from design to production.
One-year outlook
- Own a significant part of the platform and become a go-to for it — contributing to a major cross-team initiative (for example, self-service provisioning of new regions and environments, or the multi-region networking and CD foundations behind it) and establishing durable patterns your team relies on.
Docker considers visa sponsorship on a case-by-case basis based on business needs.
Compensation & Equity
United States: $160,900 – $260,700 + equity

You think like a user, not just an engineer. You care about frontend polish, backend performance, and everything in between.
A healthy skepticism for “the way things are done”
You bring rigor and creativity. Best practices matter - but never more than forward motion.
What You’ll Do
Build fullstack features in Go, React, and Ember that power key customer workflows
Collaborate with others to turn ideas into shipped customer value
Share knowledge and raise the bar through sharing your progress publicly with short videos, thoughtful writing, and mentorship
Participate in an on-call rotation as required, supporting the reliability of the systems you build
Help evolve our systems to scale with more customers, messages, and use cases
Use AI agents to make multi-file changes by scoping the work, writing the prompt, and verifying the output
What we're looking for
7+ years of experience building and scaling backend services and product-facing features
Fluency in TypeScript, React (or similar), and a statically typed backend language like Go
A strong care for frontend polish, backend performance, and the overall customer experience
Proficiency with APIs, relational databases, and writing testable, performant code
A bias for action over perfection, and pride in owning technical decisions
