Develop and improve form agreements and negotiation playbooks to drive consistency and scalability.
Contribute to the development of workflows and processes that enable the legal team to scale effectively, including contract negotiation, execution, and tracking of contractual obligations.

Own the hunt. Open doors. Win the business.
We’re looking for an ambitious and commercially driven
Account Director
to join our growing sales team and help accelerate our expansion across ASEAN.
This is a
true hunting role
. You’ll be responsible for identifying and winning new business across strategic target accounts, building relationships with senior decision-makers and taking opportunities through the full sales cycle — from prospecting and first conversation through to negotiation and close.
You’ll need to be comfortable creating opportunities where none currently exist, navigating complex organisations and selling consultatively to senior marketing and business leaders.
This is an opportunity for an experienced sales professional who wants significant ownership, autonomy and a direct impact on revenue growth.
What You’ll Do
Own new business acquisition:
Identify, target and win new clients across ASEAN, with a strong focus on strategic and enterprise accounts.
Build your own pipeline:
Proactively prospect into target accounts using research, outbound engagement, networking, referrals and creative approaches to open new doors.
Penetrate strategic accounts:
Develop account strategies to identify multiple stakeholders, understand organisational priorities and create relationships across the buying committee.
Engage senior decision-makers:
Build credible relationships with Directors, VPs and C-level stakeholders across marketing, demand generation, sales and related functions.
Own the full sales cycle:
Lead opportunities from prospecting and discovery through solution development, commercial negotiation, procurement and close.
Sell consultatively:
Understand the client's business challenges, objectives and priorities and connect them to solutions that deliver measurable value.
Drive significant revenue:
Consistently achieve and exceed individual revenue targets through disciplined pipeline generation, opportunity management and deal execution.
Create strategic opportunities:
Identify whitespace within target accounts and develop new opportunities rather than relying on existing relationships or inbound demand.
Manage complex sales:
Navigate multiple stakeholders, longer sales cycles and commercially complex negotiations while maintaining momentum and deal control.
Expand relationships:
Once new business is secured, identify opportunities to deepen relationships, expand into additional teams or markets and increase account value.
Maintain strong forecasting discipline:
Own your pipeline, accurately forecast revenue and maintain clear visibility across opportunities, next steps and close plans.
Collaborate cross-functionally:
Partner with marketing, campaign, delivery and client success teams to develop compelling solutions and ensure a strong transition from sale to execution.
Be a market advisor:
Stay close to developments across B2B marketing, demand generation, ABM, digital marketing and the technology sector, bringing relevant insight into client conversations.

is highly advantageous.
Commercially astute, resilient and persistent, with the ability to maintain momentum through complex sales cycles.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
A collaborative team player who can operate independently while working effectively across a broader commercial organisation.
The Person We’re Looking For
You are a
hunter by nature
.
You don't wait for leads to be handed to you. You know how to identify the right accounts, find the right people, create a reason to engage and turn a cold prospect into a commercial conversation.

You’re competitive but collaborative, commercially minded and motivated by results. You take ownership of your pipeline, your clients and, most importantly,
your number

ABOUT CLIPBOARD
Our mission is to uplift as many communities as possible. We do this through our app-based marketplace that connects healthcare professionals with the workplaces that need amazing workers. This enables hundreds of thousands of people to achieve financial stability for themselves and their families while providing essential care to millions of people across the U.S.
Founded in 2016, we are a remote-first team of over 1,000 people building a top Y-Combinator company https://www.ycombinator.com/topcompanies/ and have been profitable since 2022. We’re the leader in Long-Term Care staffing and are rapidly expanding into Home Health, Hospitals, and more, meaning we have more work to do than people to do it, and are growing our team to support millions more people and their communities.
About the Role
The Account Executive will be instrumental in growing Clipboard's footprint by bringing new dental offices onto the platform. Dental offices are core to the Clipboard Dental marketplace — the Account Executive is responsible for identifying prospective dental offices, initiating contact, and guiding them through the full sales cycle from cold outreach to activation. This is a full-cycle sales role where you own your pipeline end-to-end: prospecting, pitching, handling objections, negotiating, and closing. There's no ceiling to what you can achieve in this role — if you're highly motivated, fearless on the phone, and a strong communicator, Clipboard is the place for you to excel.
Responsibilities
- Cold calling dental offices that have not yet posted shifts to introduce them to Clipboard's staffing services
- Clearly articulating the value proposition of the platform and overcoming objections to drive new office activations
- Managing the full sales cycle — from initial outreach through onboarding — ensuring a smooth transition for new offices onto the platform
- Leading price negotiation conversations with dental office decision-makers
- Building and managing your own pipeline, consistently following up with leads and maintaining organized records of outreach activity
- Persisting through longer sales cycles and re-engaging offices over time to convert them into active customers
Qualifications
- Willingness to hustle / lack of fear
- Fluency in English speaking and writing with experience communicating with English-speaking clients
- Proven experience in a sales role where you were responsible for generating your own leads
- Demonstrated experience managing your own pipeline and following through on a full sales cycle
Requirements
- Stable high-speed internet connection
- A computer workstation (laptop or desktop)
- Internationally located (not in US, CA, UK, NZ, or AU)
- Availability to work US Pacific Time working hours (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM PT)
Beyond the Basics — What Will Make You Successful
- Noticing & Curiosity — You pick up on things others miss and ask "why" more than once because the first answer is rarely the whole story. You dig to understand the root of a problem or situation rather than accepting things at face value, and you're constantly updating your understanding of the customers you serve.
- Initiative & Persistence — You have a bias for action. You know that our customers are dealing with real problems today, and you don't wait for perfect information before making a move. You're scrappy and self-reliant, you find ways through obstacles rather than around them, and you bring solutions instead of asking "what should I do?"
- Ownership — The buck stops with you, no matter what anyone else did or did not do. You take full responsibility for your results, fix problems when you see them — even outside your immediate area — and put processes in place to make sure those problems don't happen again.
- Customer-Centric — You feel your customers' situations genuinely and care about improving their lives, not just hitting a number. Talking to customers and solving their problems isn't a task on your list — it's the job.
- Humble — You're low ego and care about getting to the best outcome, not about being right. You readily admit when you don't know something, you actively seek out feedback, and you're always looking to become a better version of yourself.
Benefits
- Do great work that matters for customers who could really use your help
- Competitive pay
- Unlimited PTO
- Fully Remote
Estimated annual compensation: $12,000–$15,600 USD. Each candidate's compensation offer within this range will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, and geographic location.

WHO ARE WE?
Cohere is the leading security-first enterprise AI company. We build cutting-edge foundation AI models and end-to-end products that are designed to solve real-world business problems.
We’re training and deploying frontier models for enterprises who are building AI systems. We believe that our work is instrumental to the widespread adoption of AI and we are looking for folks that want to be part of that.
We obsess over what we build. Each one of us is responsible for contributing to increasing the capabilities of our models and the value they drive for our customers. Cohere is a team of researchers, engineers, designers, and more, who are all passionate about their craft.
We are a global technology company headquartered in Toronto with key offices in London, New York City, San Francisco, Montreal, Paris, Berlin and Seoul. Join us!
Why this role?
In this role, you will have ownership of the full sales cycle - from identifying leads to closing deals with Global 2000 across Sweden, Denmark and Norway in telecommunications, financial services, industrial manufacturing, energy and utilities, and healthcare and life sciences. Sovereignty and control over where data and models reside are growing priorities across these sectors, and Cohere is well positioned to meet that need with private, on-premise and in-country deployment built for enterprise scale. We’re looking for an approachable and compelling communicator who loves working with prospects to uncover their needs and feels comfortable developing tailored value propositions around how Cohere’s platform can help them achieve their business goals. You’ll lay the foundation for Cohere’s growth by owning your territory and collaborating with teammates across customer success, sales development, marketing, and solution architecture.
As a Senior Account Executive, you will:
- Drive net-new customer acquisition across Sweden, Denmark and Norway via targeted outbound activity, executive introductions, and relationship building with key stakeholders
- Own the full sales cycle – from initial outreach, technical and business validation, through deal close
- Support coverage of adjacent Nordic accounts as territory priorities require
- Generate and own your own pipeline through disciplined outbound, research and executive prospecting
- Be a trusted advisor to customer prospects, deeply understand their challenges & goals, and tailor solutions to drive impact for their businesses
- Leverage senior-level relationships with executives to drive strategic partnerships and sales opportunities
- Align closely with our partners and systems integrators to drive shared revenue and extend reach into target accounts
- Work cross-functionally across the business, drawing in the right technical and specialist colleagues as each engagement requires
- Collaborate with Sales Development Representatives and Marketing to supplement your own top of funnel activity
You may be a good fit if you have:
- Fluent in at least one Nordic language – Swedish, Norwegian or Danish – in addition to English; additional Nordic languages are a strong advantage
- 10+ years of B2B enterprise sales experience with Global 2000 and large enterprise customers along with experience negotiating & closing transformational 7-figure deals
- Depth in at least two of our priority sectors: financial services, telecommunications, energy and utilities, manufacturing, healthcare and life sciences
- A hunter mentality - you take pride in generating your own pipeline and are at your best when building a territory rather than managing an inherited one
- A proven track record of high performance and exceeding quotas
- Experience building and maintaining senior-level relationships with executives
- Experience working alongside channel partners and systems integrators to drive sales cycles and hit shared revenue goals
- Excellent communication skills - you are a great listener, have a knack for understanding what matters most to others & building strong relationships, experienced presenting to a C-suite audience, and feel comfortable speaking to both technical and non-technical customer prospects
Additional Requirements:
- Experience selling complex enterprise level solutions, technical products, and private or on-premise deployments (AI/NLP solutions preferred)
- Familiarity with European data residency, sovereignty and regulatory requirements as live buying criteria
- High tolerance for ambiguity - this is an early-stage territory without an established local playbook, and you'll need to be both a doer and a strategist
- Creativity - deal structures can widely vary, strong technical acumen and the ability to creatively structure mutually beneficial partnerships are necessary
FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES AT COHERE ENJOY THESE PERKS:
- A weekly lunch stipend of $75/£75 or equivalent in your local currency for lunch.
- Full health and dental benefits, including a separate budget for mental health.
- RRSP matching, 401K, Pension Scheme.
- 100% Parental Leave top-up for up to 6 months, for either parent.
- Annual enrichment benefits:
Arts & culture, fitness/wellness, quality time, and a workspace improvement credit.

- 6 weeks of paid vacation (30 working days!)
- Budget for traveling to other offices if you are remote, plus an annual company offsite.
HOW AND WHERE WE WORK:
- Cohere is remote-friendly, but we also have offices in Toronto, London, New York City, San Francisco, Montreal, Paris, Berlin and Seoul with more opening soon.
- For those in the office: a daily lunch program, plenty of snacks, and regular community and social events.
- For those not near an office: a co-working benefit so you can work alongside others in your city.
- Everyone receives a $500 home office stipend to set up your workspace properly.

WHO WE ARE
Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkpYpWfEK5s. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.
Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Notion is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer focused on migrations to join our growing team in India. You will help deliver complex, production-grade data migrations, integrations, and automations for customers across APAC.
This is initially an internally focused, hands-on engineering role. You will partner closely with regional Forward Deployed Engineers, who own customer discovery, solution architecture, stakeholder communication, risk management, and final customer validation. You will own the behind-the-scenes technical execution layer from feasibility assessment and implementation through testing, production rollout, QA, reconciliation, reporting, and operational handoff.
You will work across multiple customer environments and source systems, often with incomplete requirements, imperfect data, and real-world constraints. Success requires strong engineering fundamentals, sound judgment, careful validation, and the ability to turn one-off delivery work into reusable tools and repeatable playbooks.
As a founding engineer in India, you will help build a new regional engineering capability from the ground up. You will create migration infrastructure, standards, and reusable tooling used by FDEs across APAC, while establishing practices that can scale globally. The role offers an opportunity to become a technical authority for production migration delivery, shaping how Notion approaches reliability, validation, and operational quality across complex customer environments. As the team grows, the role may also expand toward customer-facing FDE work, technical leadership, or a deeper engineering path, depending on business needs and demonstrated capability.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE:
- Own the technical execution layer after customer requirements, scope, and solution architecture have been established with the regional FDE. Contribute to feasibility assessment, estimation, implementation planning, and risk identification while the regional FDE remains accountable for customer discovery, scope, architecture, stakeholder communication, and final acceptance.
- Apply a repeatable migration lifecycle covering source inventory and sampling, scope and pruning decisions, compatibility and degradation assessment, transformation design, pilot or dry run, user acceptance testing, production cutover, reconciliation, remediation, hypercare, and documented handoff.
- Translate approved customer and regional FDE requirements into clear technical designs, implementation plans, test strategies, runbooks, and delivery estimates.
- Build production-quality migration utilities, backend services, data pipelines, integrations, and automations using Python, SQL, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
- Investigate source-system behavior, data quality issues, permissions, rate limits, authentication constraints, and edge cases, then recommend practical solutions.
- Design and validate permissions, ownership, and inheritance mappings against the approved migration plan. Make unsupported or ambiguous access requirements explicit, obtain the required decision or approval, and preserve evidence of validation.
- Design migrations for reliability, scale, security, observability, idempotency, failure recovery, and safe reruns.
- Execute migrations only through approved environments, devices, accounts, and tooling. Follow least-privilege access, customer-specific security and data-residency requirements, and approved handling procedures. Do not store customer data in unmanaged local or external systems, and escalate privacy, security, or sovereignty concerns before execution.
- Build validation and reconciliation frameworks that provide clear evidence of migration completeness, accuracy, and exceptions.
- Debug failures across application code, infrastructure, customer data, third-party systems, and the Notion platform, then drive issues through resolution.
- Manage multiple implementation workstreams, dependencies, and priorities while communicating scope, progress, risks, and trade-offs clearly.
- Surface scope changes, unsupported requirements, timeline risks, and material effort increases early. Document assumptions and trade-offs, and escalate with options and a recommended path rather than silently absorbing additional work.
- Maintain an auditable record of scope, decisions, risks, approvals, validation evidence, and customer acceptance criteria in the agreed shared workspace or channel.
- Convert repeated delivery patterns into reusable components, automation, documentation, and playbooks that improve speed, quality, and cost over time.
- Bring field learnings back to Notion's Product and Engineering teams as actionable platform feedback and technical requirements.
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING:
- 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in backend engineering, data engineering, integration engineering, implementation engineering, technical consulting, solutions engineering, or a similar technical role.
- Strong hands-on Python development experience.
- Working experience with Node.js, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Strong SQL skills and a solid understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and data transformation.
- Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, authentication, webhooks, and system integrations.
- Experience owning a production migration, integration, or technical implementation through mapping, transformation, testing, rollout, validation, and handoff.
- Experience taking a technical problem from requirements and design through development, testing, deployment, and production operation.
- Experience with Git, code review, automated testing, release practices, and production deployment.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills across code, data, infrastructure, and external systems.
- Evidence of working on production systems, not only prototypes or proof-of-concept projects.
- Clear written and verbal English communication, with the ability to explain technical decisions, constraints, and risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- High agency and ownership. You are comfortable making progress with incomplete information, challenging assumptions, and escalating with options and a recommendation.
NICE TO HAVES:
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, job orchestration, or infrastructure automation.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Familiarity with message queues, event-driven systems, distributed-system patterns, retries, concurrency, and rate limits.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, or other observability tools.
- Experience with enterprise SaaS applications, professional services, or large-scale customer implementations.
- Experience migrating large volumes of content or structured data between enterprise platforms.
- Experience with AI or LLM applications, retrieval-augmented generation, evaluation frameworks, or agentic workflows.
- Familiarity with MCP, tool calling, Notion Workers, Custom Agents, or similar extensibility platforms.
- Experience working with distributed global or APAC teams.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:
In your first 90 days, you will:
- Learn Notion's migration and implementation ecosystem, engineering standards, and APAC delivery model.
- Establish a productive working rhythm with regional FDE partners.
- Contribute to at least one migration or integration workstream through production delivery.
- Leave behind clear technical documentation, validation evidence, and an operational runbook.
Within your first six months, you will:
- Independently own production migration or integration workstreams from technical design through rollout and handoff.
- Deliver measurable improvements in migration turnaround time, validation quality, delivery cost, or regional FDE execution hours through reusable engineering.
- Help establish repeatable quality controls, code review practices, runbooks, and observability patterns for the India team.
- Demonstrate effective prioritization and communication across multiple concurrent APAC engagements.
- Turn at least one repeated delivery pattern into a reusable tool, component, or playbook that is adopted by a subsequent engagement.

A NOTE ON AI
You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.

👋 A LITTLE ABOUT US
We’re building the best platform for authoring, publishing, and maintaining world-class docs. Close to 40,000 sign-ups per month, over 100k Monthly Active Users, used by 2M+ people and thousands of teams like Zoom, FedEx, Nvidia, Snyk, and Google. We’re profitable, backed by P9 Capital, Notion Capital, and Fly VC, and our amazing team is spread across 15 countries in North America, Europe, and Asia.
Our enterprise motion is growing, and the way we reach those buyers is changing. Docs are bought by engineering leaders, platform teams, and developer experience owners, people who don't answer cold emails but do show up at conferences, dinners, hackathons, and community meetups. Field marketing is how we get in front of them.
Today our event activity is opportunistic: a booth here, a sponsored dinner there, a webinar when someone has time. There's no tiering model, no consistent follow-up motion, and no reliable way to say which events created the (right) pipeline. This role owns all of it.
This is a new function at GitBook. You'd be the first person to own it.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the global event calendar: Decide which industry tradeshows and conferences we show up at, at what level, and why and then run them end to end: sponsorship negotiation, booth, staffing, messaging, budget, and on-site execution.
- Build activation around the big moments: The booth is rarely where the deals happen. You'll design the side-events that surround a conference such as curated dinners, executive roundtables, breakfast briefings, happy hours, and build the guest lists around accounts we actually want in the room.
- Create GitBook's own events: Design and run owned formats that people want to attend because of what they are, not because we sponsored them. Roadshows, customer summits, docs-focused meetups, launch moments. You'll define the format, the content arc, and the experience.
- Experiment with community activation: Work with our DevRel colleagues on hackathons, docs sprints, and community events. Some will work and some won't; you'll run them as experiments with a clear read on what happened.
- Own online events: Webinars, virtual roundtables, and livestreams, you’ll be either running them yourself or coordinating the team members who do.
- Build the tiering model: Define what a Tier 1, 2, and 3 event looks like at GitBook: spend bands, staffing, pre- and post-event motion, and the bar an event has to clear to earn each tier.
- Report on pipeline, not attendance: Build the measurement model for events: cost per opportunity, event-sourced and event-influenced pipeline, target-account attendance, and conversion through to closed won.
- Make the sales follow-up motion work: Build a lightweight SLA for pre-event target lists with AEs, brief the team on what to do at the event, and build the follow-up structure that turns a badge scan into a conversation.
- Act as ABM sparring partner: Our enterprise motion runs on account-based plays. You'll be the person Sales and Marketing think out loud with on account selection, buying-committee mapping, and how field programs plug into 1:1 and 1:few plays
HOW WE'LL MEASURE SUCCESS
In your first 90 days: a tiered event calendar for the next four quarters, a working measurement model in our CRM, and a follow-up motion Sales has actually agreed to.
After that: event-sourced and event-influenced pipeline, cost per opportunity by tier, target-account penetration at Tier 1 events, and speed of follow-up.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 7–10 years in B2B SaaS marketing: you need to have a meaningful stretch of that in field marketing, event marketing, or integrated demand generation. You've run international programs, including and especially in the USA.
- A ROI mindset: You talk in opportunities and cost per opportunity, not impressions and badge scans. You've defended an event budget with numbers and you've killed events that didn't earn their place.
- Real operational range: You can negotiate a sponsorship contract, argue about booth carpet, write a good invite email, and build a Hubspot dashboard or report (or know who to ask to build it for you).
- Sales credibility: AEs will trust you or route around you. You can walk into a pipeline review, take a hard question about last quarter's spend, and answer it without getting defensive.
- Taste: Most B2B events are forgettable. We'd rather run fewer things that people remember. You should have opinions about what makes an event worth attending.
- Comfort with a technical audience: Our buyers are engineers and the people who lead them. You don't need to write code, but you need to know why developer-audience marketing fails when it's too polished.
- Ownership mindset: There's no playbook here. You'll write it: defining process, flagging problems early, and not waiting to be told what to build next.
Also, you might be coming from a field marketing role at a SaaS company that got heavier on events, an event marketing role where you started owning the pipeline number, a demand gen role with a large in-person component, or a community or DevRel role that grew a commercial edge. We care less about the label than about what you can actually do. Some travel is expected, roughly a week or two a quarter, with a potential for a week a month in the conference season peak.
WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT
This isn't a role where you'll manage a team from day one, and it isn't purely strategic. You'll be on the floor at the show and in the spreadsheet the week after.
It's also not brand marketing or product marketing. You'll draw on both, and you'll partner closely with them, but you're accountable for the pipeline.
If you do this well, the function grows in scope, budget, and eventually headcount. But we're hiring for someone who wants to build it from scratch, not for the version of this role that exists in two years.
👥 Join GitBook at a pivotal time as we evolve our product and team. This is a chance to shape our product, craft, and culture https://www.gitbook.com/about#open-roles.

1Password is growing. We’ve surpassed $400M in ARR and we’re continuing to accelerate, earning a spot on the Forbes Cloud 100 for four years in a row and teaming up with iconic partners like Oracle Red Bull Racing.
About 1Password
At 1Password, we’re building the foundation for a safe, productive digital future. Our mission is to unleash employee productivity without compromising security by ensuring every identity is authentic, every application sign-in is secure, and every device is trusted. We innovated the market-leading enterprise password manager and pioneered Unified Access Management, a new cybersecurity category built for the way people and AI agents work today. As one of the most loved brands in cybersecurity, we take a human-centric approach in everything from product strategy to user experience. Over 180,000 businesses, from Fortune 100 leaders to the world’s most innovative AI companies, trust 1Password to help their teams securely adopt the SaaS and AI tools they need to do their best work.
If you're excited about the opportunity to contribute to the digital safety of millions, to work alongside a team of curious, driven individuals, and to solve hard problems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, then we want to hear from you. Come join us and help shape a safer, simpler digital future.
As a Staff Security Engineer on Security Incident Response, you'll serve as a senior technical leader and builder for the team, helping shape both how we respond to incidents today and how our response capabilities evolve over time. This role is about advancing what the team is capable of, not just responding when something breaks. You'll design and build the AI-assisted systems that extend the team's reach, lead the response to the most complex incidents, and own programs that make the organization more prepared over time, from tabletop exercises and gamedays to the continued advancement of threat hunting and insider risk capabilities.
You bring engineering depth, sound incident judgment, and the ability to plan, and deliver complex work against a longer-term maturity roadmap not just execute against a queue.
This is a senior individual contributor role with organization-wide impact on how 1Password investigates, contains, and learns from security incidents.
This role reports to the Manager, Security Incident Response.
How we’re using AI today
Our Engineering, Product, and Design teams are thoughtfully integrating AI across the full software and product development lifecycle to move faster without sacrificing quality or security. In practice, that looks like engineers using AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate reviews and catch bugs earlier, product managers synthesizing user research at scale, and designers rapidly prototyping and iterating with AI-generated mockups. We approach AI the same way we approach security: with clear principles, human accountability at every consequential decision point, and rigorous evaluation before anything ships to customers.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.
What we're looking for:
- Significant experience leading complex, high-severity security incidents across multiple environments, including serving as an incident commander or equivalent technical lead.
- Experience designing and building AI-assisted or agentic automation for security operations (triage, investigation, containment), with sound judgment about where automation should and shouldn't hold decision authority.
- Strong software engineering skills, and experience building production tooling, automation, or systems rather than only operating existing security platforms.
- Experience owning a security program or capability roadmap end to end, including planning, sequencing, and delivering multi-quarter work.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native, SaaS, and identity-driven attack techniques and response approaches.
- Experience designing and running tabletop exercises, gamedays, or comparable readiness programs and translating findings into improvements..
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to represent technical tradeoffs to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring engineers or otherwise raising the technical and investigative capabilities of a team.
How you'll work:
- You look for opportunities to build systems that scale the team's capabilities rather than relying on repeated manual effort, and you're interested in thoughtfully applying AI and automation where they can improve security outcomes.
- An experienced incident commander who brings structure to complex incidents, makes sound decisions with incomplete information, and helps teams move forward during high-pressure situations.
- You're comfortable taking ownership of a capability from strategy through execution, including defining priorities, sequencing work, navigating dependencies, and delivering against a longer-term roadmap.
- You can operate as a technical partner to leaders and cross-functional teams, independently representing technical priorities, risks, and tradeoffs.
- You value continuous improvement and contribute to an environment where teams can examine incidents, decisions, and failures openly and turn what they learn into stronger systems and practices.
What you can expect:
- Serve as incident manager and technical escalation point for complex, high-severity events, bringing structure, sound judgement, and clear decision-making under pressure.
- Design and build AI-assisted and automated systems that improve how quickly and consistently the team can triage, investigate, and contain incidents.
- Establish appropriate safety controls, approval gates, auditability, and rollback mechanisms for automated and AI-assisted actions, ensuring high-impact decisions remain appropriately human-controlled.
- Own the team's readiness programs, including tabletop exercises and incident gamedays, from scenario design and execution through debriefing and translating finishes into concrete (or measurable) improvements
- Advance the team’s threat hunting and insider risk capabilities by identifying opportunities, defining priorities, and delivering roadmap work that improves investigative depth and coverage
- Plan, sequence, and deliver multi-quarter initiatives that mature the team's capabilities, bringing project management discipline to work that doesn't fit neatly into a sprint.
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to other engineers, strengthening engineering rigor and investigative judgement across the team.
- Partner with Security Operations, Product Security, and Engineering teams to close gaps surfaced through investigations, hunting, and simulations.
- Foster psychological safety and blameless learning across incident retrospectives, gamedays, and tabletop debriefs.
- Extend strong incident response practices beyond the immediate team by building reusable systems, tooling, and operating patterns that strengthen response capabilities across areas such as PSIRT, Privacy, and Engineering.

How we work with AI
We are committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology—including AI—to achieve our mission. We also understand that thinking critically about AI in its current forms will help us create better solutions for our customers and ourselves with its future forms, which will help us continue to close the gap between security and privacy and achieve our mission. We want team members at all levels to take the approach of actively learning AI best practices, identifying opportunities to apply AI in meaningful ways, and driving innovative solutions in their daily work. Embracing the future of AI isn't just encouraged—it's an essential part of how we will be successful at 1Password.
This approach extends to our hiring process—candidates are welcome to use AI tools responsibly and thoughtfully during the application process. To us, this means we do ask that you join live interviews without using AI tools so we can get to know how you communicate, solve problems, and collaborate with others.
