Perplexity is AI for people who expect more. This role brings that same standard to how our data team works, with AI at the center of everything we do.
We're looking for someone who's been a great data scientist, analytics engineer, or data engineer: the kind of person who knows which metric actually matters, can design an A/B test that answers the real question, has gone deep on a data model because something didn't add up, and has decided that the highest-leverage thing they can do next is build AI systems that fundamentally change how data science gets done.
You'll build AI agents and internal systems that can increasingly handle end-to-end analysis workflows: forming hypotheses, writing and running queries, interpreting results, and drafting recommendations with the right evaluation, review, and guardrails. You'll build the retrieval infrastructure and evaluation loops that let AI systems query the warehouse reliably. You'll create workflows that detect, diagnose, and help fix data issues before they become company-wide problems. You'll build the infrastructure that multiplies what a small data team can ship.
You'll join a data team that's already using AI across its work. The next step is turning those individual workflows into scalable systems, shared tools, and an AI-native operating model that becomes a benchmark for how modern data teams work.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build AI agents that do data science - not just SQL copilots, but systems that can safely explore data, form hypotheses, run queries, interpret results, and generate actionable recommendations with clear evaluation and human review loops.
- Make AI systems query the warehouse reliably - build the retrieval infrastructure and evaluation loops that let agents use our semantic context and metadata accurately.
- Accelerate the AI-native data workflow - turn the best existing AI-assisted workflows into repeatable systems, reusable tools, and patterns the whole data team can adopt.
- Automate the data lifecycle - build self-healing pipelines, automated dbt model generation and validation, data quality agents, and diagnosis workflows that reduce manual firefighting.
- Ship AI-powered experiment analysis - build agents that interpret A/B test results, flag statistical issues, identify likely drivers, and draft ship/no-ship recommendations.
- Turn the data team into a product team - build internal data products that stakeholders use every day, replacing ad hoc requests with self-serve AI interfaces.
- Own the full lifecycle - identify high-leverage problems, prototype with LLMs, evaluate accuracy, design the UX, ship to production, and monitor quality over time.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 6+ years in data science, analytics engineering, data engineering, or a related role. You've been close enough to real data work to know what should and should not be automated.
- Deep SQL and analytics judgment - you can reason through metrics, experiments, data models, and messy warehouse reality without relying on a tool to think for you.
- Strong product sense - you understand what stakeholders actually need, what makes a workflow adoptable, and how to turn a prototype into a product people use.
- Hands-on LLM experience - you've built with frontier models, agents, RAG systems, evals, or AI-powered workflows and have opinions about where they work and where they fail.
- Pipeline and modeling fluency - you've worked with dbt, warehouse schemas, data quality issues, and the practical tradeoffs behind durable data systems.
- Builder mentality - you see a manual process and immediately think about how to systematize it. You ship fast, measure quality, and iterate.
- Autonomy - this is a new function. You'll help define the roadmap as much as execute it.
BONUS
- Experience building production AI agents or agent evaluation systems.
- Experience with Snowflake, semantic layers, or metadata systems.
- Experience building internal tools, Slack bots, CLIs, or developer productivity products that people actually used.
- Strong experimentation background, including metric design and statistical interpretation.
- Experience with BI tools and the judgment to know what should be automated versus kept human-reviewed.
- Early-stage startup experience.
WHY THIS ROLE
- Set the standard for the industry - Perplexity's data team is already using AI across its work. You'll turn that into something other data teams look to as the benchmark.
- Build AI with AI - Perplexity builds AI for people who expect more. You'll bring that same level of ambition to how the company works with data.
- Frontier models, day one - you're at an AI company with access to frontier infrastructure and people who deeply understand what's possible.
- Massive leverage - the systems you build will multiply the output of every data team member and every stakeholder who needs data.
- Direct impact - small team, no layers of approval. Idea to shipped system in days, not quarters.

The Principal of Marketing Insights sits at the intersection of growth strategy, investment planning, and performance analytics. You’ll partner with the office of CMO, marketing leadership, and cross-functional analytics teams to determine where we invest, how we improve performance, and what it will take to achieve our growth targets. You’ll translate business goals and performance insights into clear priorities, resource decisions, and coordinated action across Marketing. This includes shaping pipeline strategy, evaluating investment tradeoffs, and identifying opportunities to improve conversion, velocity, and efficiency across regions, segments, and growth motions. Investment strategy & efficiency: Shape recommendations for allocating resources across programs, channels, regions, and segments based on expected business impact. Evaluate tradeoffs between headcount and program investment, partnering with Finance and marketing leaders to improve resource productivity. Identify where to scale, reduce, or reallocate spend, and measure whether those decisions improve pipeline yield and marketing efficiency. Develop models that connect marketing investment to pipeline and revenue outcomes, making assumptions and uncertainties clear.
Program management & accountability: Lead weekly and monthly marketing performance reviews, focusing leadership on the decisions and actions needed to achieve targets. Proactively identify performance risks, diagnose root causes, and align leaders on corrective actions, owners, and timelines. Track actions and assess their impact, adjusting the approach when results fall short. Lead cross-functional initiatives across Marketing, XDR, Sales, Finance, and Analytics, resolving dependencies and escalating decisions when needed.
Insights & measurement: Set the strategic analysis agenda around the business questions most consequential to marketing growth and efficiency. Define the metrics, scorecards, and decision tools marketing leaders need to manage performance. Partner with Analytics to deliver scalable reporting and with Marketing Ops to ensure consistent definitions, reliable tracking, and data quality. Translate complex analysis into clear executive narratives that explain what is happening, why it matters, and what action to take.

About the Job:
LaunchDarkly is the runtime control plane for the AI software development lifecycle (AI-SDLC). Thousands of engineering organizations, including more than a quarter of the Fortune 500, use LaunchDarkly to ship, measure, and control every change that reaches production, whether it is written by people or by AI. Feature management built the company. The next chapter is bigger: as the cost of writing code falls and the volume of change outpaces human review, the constraint is moving from writing software to controlling it. LaunchDarkly is building the critical infrastructure for the AI-SDLC. Customers build their own software factories. We build the rails they run on.
We are hiring the leader of Product Management for LaunchDarkly. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you will own the product management organization end to end: the people, operating system, roadmap commitments, and commercial outcomes across every product pillar. You will sit at the technology leadership table as the Product Management peer to the heads of Engineering and Product Design.
The CPO sets the company’s product vision and strategic direction. You will build and run the product organization that turns that direction into a coherent portfolio, shipped outcomes, customer adoption, and revenue growth. This is a hands-on operating role for a product leader who knows how to build the machine, make the tradeoffs, and finish the work.
Responsibilities:
Lead cross-functional product leadership.
Serve as the product counterpart to Engineering, Product Design, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Finance. Resolve cross-functional tradeoffs, establish shared commitments, and ensure LaunchDarkly presents one coherent product strategy to customers and the market.
Build and lead the product management organization.
Design the organization intentionally, allocate resources effectively, maintain a high talent bar, build succession plans, and establish clear ownership for every product surface a customer or sales representative may ask about.
Own the product operating system.
Establish the cadence that turns strategy into shipped software and met goals, including quarterly commitments, leadership reviews, squad-level inspection, launch briefs, new product introduction (NPI), and the product-to-field handoff. Make execution predictable enough that the executive team does not have to ask whether something shipped.
Drive roadmap delivery across every product pillar.
Lead execution across Enterprise, Foundation, Observability, Experimentation, Agent Control, Automation, and the platform beneath them. Build a culture of doing what we say we are going to do.
Create portfolio discipline without slowing the company down.
Ensure new bets enter the portfolio through explicit decisions rather than hallway conversations, while preserving the flexibility to respond to market changes. Marketing dates should be commitments the product organization can confidently support.
Drive finishing.
A product is not done when version one ships; it is done when the team has iterated based on learning. A launch is not done when it ships; it is done when the field is amplifying it. A process is not done when it is written; it is done when it creates leverage for the team.
Own packaging execution and commercial outcomes.
Lead how pricing and packaging land in the product and in the field so every representative can sell the full platform and every pillar contributes to its commercial goals.
Stay close to customers and the field.
Spend time with the largest customers and most demanding evaluators, translate what you learn into product decisions, and build a process that brings customer and field insight into the roadmap at scale.
Use AI to increase product and engineering leverage.
Help the organization adopt AI-assisted development and product practices in ways that increase delivery speed while maintaining quality and judgment.
What Success Looks Like in Your First Year:
The organization is complete. The leadership model is in place, product lines have the right pillar leadership, spans and layers are intentional, decision rights are clear, succession risks are understood, and the organization can continue to scale.
Delivery increases every quarter. Shipped output per team rises quarter over quarter as AI-assisted development compounds, with quality holding.
The operating system runs without the CPO driving it. Reviews, check-ins, launch briefs, and NPI happen on cadence and at a consistent bar.
The portfolio is staffed. Every initiative in flight has an explicit staffing decision and plan behind it.
The numbers move. Activation, attach, activity, and expansion targets for each pillar respond to the organization’s inputs.
The team is stronger than you found it. Product managers have more leverage, complementary strengths are valued over a uniform mold, and every hire raises the bar.
About You:
You are direct, decisive, and high-agency. You identify a problem, propose a fix, and act unless someone tells you not to.
You are a relentless simplifier, not a caretaker. When you find friction, your instinct is to remove process rather than add it. You know how to run a company of this size like a small company that ships.
You are a builder of people and move quickly on people problems. Product leaders who have worked for you say you made them better and would work for you again. You raise the bar clearly, promote based on evidence, and do not allow known performance problems to persist.
You are comfortable challenging a strategy and turning it into a sequenced portfolio. You can tell the story of an idea you pushed back on, how you used evidence to make the call, and how you maintained the relationship.
You write clearly and make decisions. You use written argument to create alignment, expect strong writing from your team, and end meetings with a decision.
You are customer-oriented and commercially grounded. You can move from a conversation with a developer or data scientist to a discussion with an executive buyer or sales leader without losing the thread.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 15+ years of experience in Product Management, including 7+ years leading Product Managers and product leaders across a multi-product B2B platform
.
Experience leading Product Management at the VP, SVP, or equivalent level across a multi-product B2B platform.
Experience leading a product management organization of 20 or more product managers at a company with approximately $100M to $500M in revenue.
A track record of building and developing a product organization, rather than simply inheriting one.
Demonstrated ability to turn company strategy into a reliable operating system that delivers roadmap commitments and measurable business outcomes.
Experience working with a founder or visionary executive and converting a high volume of ideas into a sequenced, resourced portfolio.
Experience building products for engineering organizations and selling to CTOs, platform leaders, and data science teams.
Strong commercial fluency, including experience owning or materially influencing pricing, packaging, attach, expansion, and go-to-market execution.
Experience balancing enterprise and self-serve motions, including an understanding of what drives a large enterprise expansion and what creates value for a developer on a free plan.
Practical experience using AI agents in your own work and applying AI-native approaches to product management or software development. You should have clear opinions about how AI changes product management, supported by things you have shipped.
Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity, make decisions with incomplete information, and improve delivery speed without compromising product quality.

BUILD SOMETHING PEOPLE LOVE
Wealthsimple is Canada’s leading financial innovator. The company offers a full suite of simple, sophisticated financial products across managed investing, do-it-yourself trading, cryptocurrency, tax filing, spending and saving. Wealthsimple currently serves more than 4 million Canadians and holds over $169 billion in assets under administration. The company was founded in 2014 by a team of financial experts and technology entrepreneurs, and is headquartered in Toronto, Canada.
We're proud of what we've built — and we're just getting started. Read our Culture Manual https://www.wealthsimple.com/en-ca/culture and learn more about how we work https://www.wealthsimple.com/en-ca/careers.
About the team:
At Wealthsimple, we aren't just managing portfolios; we're rewriting the rules of how Canadians interact with credit. The Credit Analytics team own’s Wealthsimple's lending ecosystem, operating at the intersection of high-growth tech and data-driven underwriting.
We believe that being “credit-worthy” should mean more than just a traditional score. Our mission is to challenge the status quo, building inclusive products that empower millions of Canadians and the businesses they run to lead better financial lives. We’re growing fast, moving from small data to massive scale through iteration and experimentation.
We are extending our consumer credit expertise into business lending built for Canadian small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). This is a true green-field build — new adjudication policy, new underwriting signals, and new risk infrastructure, informed by everything we've learned scaling our consumer card portfolio.
About the role:
We are looking for a Senior Associate to own credit policy for our business lending products, starting with a business credit card — from adjudication through the full account lifecycle. You will design and implement the underwriting framework that determines who qualifies and at what limit, build the line management strategies that govern how those limits evolve, and partner closely with collections to manage risk once accounts are on book.
Small business cards can be underwritten on the owner, or on the business as it grows. You’ll be working with cash flow, seasonality, industry, and business bureau data, which is usually thinner and messier than consumer bureau data. We need someone who has worked across that range and can turn it into automated policy instead of file-by-file decisions.
You will collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Data Science, Fraud, and Client Experience to translate policy into shippable adjudication and monitoring systems, and you will have significant ownership over how this portfolio’s risk appetite is defined from day one.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Build a new lending program from the ground up with the breadth to see every part of it, from policy to funding, and the runway to grow into leading a lending line of business.
- Design and own the adjudication policy for a new business credit card, including entity-level underwriting criteria, principal/guarantor assessment, joint-liability, initial limit-setting, and approval decisioning.
- Own line management strategy for business credit products: credit limit increases and decreases, pricing, authorization rules, and active exposure management driven by cash-flow and balance monitoring.
- Partner with the collections team to design risk-managed treatment strategies specific to business accounts, and to build lifecycle monitoring that catches emerging risk early.
- Evaluate the performance of the business lending portfolio and your policies, using vintage analysis, cohort tracking, and champion/challenger testing to validate and refine underwriting decisions.
- Propose policy enhancements that improve marginal profitability while keeping risk within appetite, informed by rigorous root-cause analysis rather than surface-level metrics.
- Help define the data and underwriting infrastructure needed for SMB lending — including how to source, validate, and weigh business financial data alongside traditional bureau signals.
- Influence roadmaps across partner teams (Engineering, Product, Data Science, Fraud, and Client Experience) and implement policy that drives measurable impact.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has direct experience underwriting or setting credit policy for small and medium-sized businesses, this is a must-have for this role. Card experience isn't required; we'd love to hear from you if your background is in instalment loans or lines of credit.
- Writes SQL hands-on to self-serve data and build monitoring and analytics.
- Brings credit discipline to a ship-and-iterate environment, and is comfortable shaping policy while the product itself is still being defined.
- Can turn analysis into a clear recommendation for technical and non-technical audiences, weigh incomplete or noisy information and still reach well-grounded decisions.
- Is intellectually curious, passionate about their work, and wants ownership over their projects.
Preferred qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in small business lending
- Knowledge of Canadian consumer credit bureau data (Equifax, TransUnion)
- Working knowledge of how business credit risk differs from consumer credit risk: entity vs. personal guarantor assessment, business bureau data (e.g., business credit bureaus), cash-flow-based underwriting, industry/sector risk, and revenue seasonality.
- Experience across the credit lifecycle: adjudication policy, line management, pricing, and collections strategy.
- Experience with statistical/quantitative analysis: experimental design, champion/challenger (or A/B) testing, model accuracy validation, constrained optimization, decision trees, discounted cash flows, financial modeling.
- Experience with Python, and GitHub. Airflow, AWS Redshift, and dbt are a plus.

Why Sony Interactive Entertainment?
Sony Interactive Entertainment isn’t just the Best Place to Play — it’s also the Best Place to Work. Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is the company behind the PlayStation brand. As a subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation, we’re part of a proud legacy of innovation and excellence. SIE is a dynamic technology company, delivering cutting-edge hardware and network services to more than 100 million people and an entertainment leader, home to some of the most beloved and recognizable intellectual properties (IP) in the world. Our role at SIE is to create and nurture the experiences under the PlayStation brand, a name synonymous with entertainment excellence and creativity.
JOB PURPOSE:
The Technical Program Governance team enables complex technical initiatives across PlayStation engineering organizations by creating clarity, alignment, and disciplined execution across organizational boundaries.
As a Staff Technical Change Manager, you will lead the people, adoption, and organizational dimensions of complex technical change across engineering and technology organizations. You will work alongside technical leaders, architects, program managers, and delivery teams to understand what is changing, who is affected, what will be required of them, and how to move from awareness to sustained adoption.
This is a technical change role. Success requires more than familiarity with software-development terminology or experience working near engineering teams. You must be able to understand systems, platforms, architecture, integrations, engineering delivery models, and technical dependencies well enough to identify meaningful change impacts, ask informed questions, and translate technical decisions into practical organizational action.
This role offers the opportunity to build and shape change capability from the ground up. You’ll help define how change is led, scaled, and embedded across a growing technical organization, creating practical approaches that can evolve with the business rather than inheriting a fixed playbook.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional organizational change within technology, engineering, digital, or technical environments.
Strong technical fluency across modern software and technology environments. Able to understand systems, platforms, architecture, integrations, engineering workflows, and technical dependencies well enough to assess organizational impact and engage credibly with technical leaders.\
Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts and decisions into clear stakeholder impacts, adoption needs, communications, enablement plans, and practical actions.
Deep practical knowledge of organizational change methods and tools, combined with the judgment to adapt, combine, simplify, or move beyond a methodology when the situation requires it.
Experience developing end-to-end change strategies, including stakeholder analysis, impact assessment, readiness, communications, engagement, learning or enablement, adoption measurement, and reinforcement.
Strong independent judgment and problem-solving skills, with a record of operating effectively in ambiguous environments where the change strategy, operating model, or path forward is still being created.
Ability to influence senior technical and business leaders, facilitate difficult conversations, build alignment across competing priorities, and move decisions forward without direct authority.
Experience using qualitative and quantitative signals to assess adoption, identify resistance or friction, test assumptions, and adjust strategy based on evidence rather than process compliance.
Demonstrated ability to create reusable frameworks, playbooks, tools, and guidance and to coach others so change capability scales beyond the individual.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce concise executive narratives while retaining enough technical substance for engineering audiences.
Desirable
Consulting or transformation advisory experience, particularly in environments requiring rapid context building, executive influence, and practical recommendations across multiple clients, organizations, or business units.
Experience building or materially evolving a change capability in an organization where practices, roles, standards, and expectations were not already mature or consistently established.\
Experience supporting platform, infrastructure, cloud, architecture, developer tooling, enterprise systems, or other technically complex transformation work.
Experience working directly with engineers, architects, technical program managers, product leaders, and senior technology executives.
Background in the games, interactive entertainment, or large-scale technology industry.
Formal change-management certification.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE FOR DECISION MAKING:
Technical Change Strategy and Delivery
Lead change strategy and execution for complex technical initiatives spanning multiple teams, organizations, technologies, or geographies.
Build a clear understanding of the technical change itself, including affected systems, dependencies, operating models, workflows, roles, and decision points, before determining the appropriate change approach.
Translate technical implementation plans into stakeholder impacts, readiness needs, adoption risks, engagement strategies, and measurable change outcomes.
Embed organizational readiness into the design and delivery of major initiatives, helping ensure change is considered from the beginning and translated into sustained adoption, stronger execution, and measurable business impact.
Identify adoption barriers early, frame the underlying problem, and drive practical interventions that address behavior, capability, process, structure, or incentives as appropriate.
Define meaningful measures of readiness, adoption, and sustained use, and adjust strategy when evidence shows the current approach is not working.
Technical Partnership and Organizational Judgment
Partner closely with engineers, architects, technical program managers, product leaders, and subject-matter experts to understand technical decisions and their organizational consequences.
Ask informed technical questions, challenge assumptions constructively, and surface dependencies or downstream impacts that may otherwise be missed in change planning.
Operate as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, bringing clear recommendations, rationale, risks, tradeoffs, and expected outcomes rather than relying on escalation or waiting for direction.
Demonstrate strong judgment about where and how change leadership can add value. Read the room, adapt to the audience and organizational context, and apply the right level of structure to accelerate outcomes without introducing unnecessary process.
Use organizational context, stakeholder insight, and data to determine where leadership attention is required and where teams can move independently.
Connect technical transformation to business and organizational outcomes so leaders understand not only what is changing, but why it matters and what successful adoption looks like.
Capability Building and Scale
Help build a practical, scalable technical change-management capability, including reusable frameworks, playbooks, templates, decision guides, and operating practices.

ABOUT US
Sierra is the leading platform for customer-facing AI agents, working with many of the world's biggest brands — including The GAP, Rocket Mortgage, SoFi, Sutter Health, and SoftBank — to transform how they serve customers and grow their businesses. We are primarily an in-person company based in San Francisco, with growing offices across North America, Europe, and Asia.
We are guided by a set of values that are at the core of our actions and define our culture: Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Intensity, and a commitment to balancing Family along the way. These values are the foundation of our work, and we are committed to upholding them in everything we do.
Our co-founders are Bret Taylor https://www.linkedin.com/in/brettaylor/ and Clay Bavor https://www.linkedin.com/in/claybavor/. Bret currently serves as Board Chair of OpenAI. Previously, he was co-CEO of Salesforce (which had acquired the company he founded, Quip) and CTO of Facebook. Bret was also one of Google's earliest product managers and co-creator of Google Maps. Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Design and build a structured onboarding program for new Account Executives and Sales Engineers, with role-specific tracks
- Deliver onboarding live and asynchronously: cohort sessions, workshops, certifications, and role-plays
- Introduce what AI Fluency means at Sierra and how to incorporate it into daily sales activities (account research, call prep, call recaps, pipeline updates, etc.)
- Make sure every seller can explain, demo and stand behind how Sierra uses AI, so they can speak credibly with customers who are learning to deploy AI themselves
- Establish baseline ramp metrics (time to first meeting, first deal, quota attainment, SE readiness) and set targets for reducing them
- Use AI tools to scale enablement itself: faster content creation, AI-driven role-play and call coaching, and self-serve answers to seller questions
- Partner with Product, Marketing, Sales Leadership, and Sales Engineering to keep content accurate as the product and market change

Strong communication and relationship-building skills, including presenting to both technical teams and non-technical leaders such as agency heads, procurement officers, and university administrators.
Openness to learning, seeking feedback, and building new skills, including familiarity with GitLab's Solutions Architect handbook and related resources.
Nice to have
Prior experience working in or for state or local government IT, or a university IT or research computing organization.
Experience with legacy or mainframe modernization programs.
Familiarity with AI governance practices in the public sector, such as AI use-case inventories, acceptable-use policies, and risk assessments.
About the team
The SLED Solutions Architect role is part of GitLab's Public Sector Solutions Architect team, a group of trusted technical advisors who help government and education customers understand, evaluate, and adopt the GitLab DevSecOps platform. The team is distributed and collaborates asynchronously across time zones using GitLab and our handbook-first practices to share knowledge, reusable examples, and best practices.
On the SLED team, you'll help customers solve challenges unique to state, local, and education organizations: protecting resident and student data, modernizing mission-critical legacy systems, buying through public procurement processes, and stretching limited IT staff and budgets. ABOUT DOCKER
Docker has been one of the most loved brands in developer tooling, trusted by more than 20 million monthly users and over 20 billion container image pulls. From solo founders to the world's largest companies, developers rely on Docker to build, share, and run their applications across our suite of products including Docker Desktop, Docker Hub, and Docker Scout.
We are a globally distributed, remote-first team building the tools that define how software gets built and delivered. As AI agents redefine software development, Docker is at the center of that shift, providing the sandboxed environments, verified images, and secure infrastructure that make autonomous workflows trustworthy by default.
_______________________________________________________________________
THE ROLE
Docker Forward Deployed Engineers (FDE) embed directly with our most strategic customers to solve important, complex technical problems and turn ambitious ideas into production outcomes. FDEs take on the most challenging technical challenges using existing Docker products and patterns when possible, and work across customer, Docker Product and Engineering teams to realize new approaches when required.
As a Docker FDE, you will work side-by-side with customer engineering teams to deeply understand their goals, problems, constraints, and technical landscape; identify the highest-leverage opportunities; and design, build, and ship solutions with them. You own the technical journey from discovery and architecture through prototyping, implementation and production rollout.
The solutions you build may use existing Docker products, extend Docker into new environments, integrate deeply with customer and third-party systems, or reveal capabilities that Docker should build next. You work closely with Docker Solutions Architects to evolve existing patterns, and Docker Product and Engineering to turn new learnings into reusable patterns and product capabilities.
_______________________________________________________________________
RESPONSIBILITIES
Build in Production with Customers
- Embed with customer engineering teams to design, build, and ship solutions from first prototype through stable production rollout. Use existing Docker products and patterns when possible, invent, prototype and validate innovative solutions when necessary.
- Deliver working technical artifacts to customers: custom MCP servers with tightly integrated Docker Sandbox environments for coding agents and containerized agents; Docker Compose definitions for multi-agent harnesses and model-backed applications; Hardened Image standardization and migration; New tools that unblock customer progress.
- Integrate Docker's AI platform with the customer's existing stack, including identity providers (OIDC/SAML/SSO), secrets management, private and air-gapped registries, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tooling.
- Own technical delivery on your engagements: scope the work, sequence it, make trade-offs between speed and quality, remove blockers early, and contribute directly to code whenever progress depends on it.
Make AI Adoption Safe and Governable
- Translate customer security, compliance, and platform requirements into concrete plans and see those plans through from ideation to production.
- Help customers define controls to enable them to adopt agentic AI to solve their unique business problems without compromising security, compliance, data sovereignty or end-user experience.
- Establish quality and performance standards for customers and work closely with Docker Product and Engineering to quickly address issues that fall outside of established thresholds
- Partner with customer security and platform teams to get agentic workloads through architecture review, threat modeling, and change control.
Partner with Solutions Architecture and the Field
- Work closely with Solutions Architects to enable off-the-self solutions when possible and provide technical experience and leadership when a bespoke solution is necessary.
- Feed implementation learnings back into reference architectures, SOW templates, and success patterns so that FDE innovations become standard features and implementation patterns.
- Support the field with technical depth during proofs of concept, escalations, and expansion conversations when a working build is the fastest path to a customer adoption.
Close the Loop with Product and Engineering
- As part of Docker Engineering FDEs work closely with Product and Engineering teams to fold FDE innovations, learnings, and design patterns into existing or new products and services.
- Work with Customers, Product and Engineering to establish quality and performance thresholds, ensuring customer environments meet them consistently, and responding quickly and decisively when they don’t.
- Be the voice of the customer. Deliver data-driven and actionable feedback to Product and Engineering: what works well; what does not; what customers are asking for; and what blocks their adoption and forward progress. FDE experience directly influences the roadmap.
Shape the Practice
- Define the FDE engagement model, delivery standards, and quality bar, and codify them so that engagements are consistent across customers, regions, and delivery partners.
- Mentor and lead other Forward Deployed Engineers, and participate in hiring loops to grow the team.
- Act as the senior technical escalation point on the hardest problems impacting your customers. Every incident is an opportunity to improve Docker products and services.
- Maintain deep, current knowledge of the agentic AI stack: LLMs, APIs, MCP, coding agents, model and harness evaluation approaches, performance and quality thresholds, deployment patterns.
- This role may require participation in an on-call rotation to provide support outside of standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
_______________________________________________________________________
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years in a customer-facing technical role such as Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Professional Services Engineer, or Software Engineer with consulting or technical founder experience.
- Technical leadership across multiple engagements, teams, or domains, with a proven ability to set delivery standards, define repeatable patterns, and influence product direction through field evidence.
- Expert production coding skills in Go, Python, or TypeScript, with a track record of shipping and operating software that other people depend on and of leading technical design reviews.

Workplace: Remote
At ClickUp, we're building the future of work: the first truly converged AI workspace unifying tasks, docs, chat, calendar, and enterprise search, all supercharged by context-driven AI. We are an AI-native company. Every team member is expected to leverage AI daily, and we evaluate AI fluency as part of our hiring process. Join us and help redefine what's possible. 🚀
The role
ClickUp's Cloud Platform team builds scalable, secure, and cost-efficient AWS infrastructure, with a heavy focus on Amazon EKS, that stays ahead of product and enterprise growth. Our goal: product velocity is never blocked by platform constraints. As a Senior Software Engineer, you leverage AI to design, build, and operate the compute, networking, and infrastructure-as-code foundation that powers ClickUp for millions of users.
What you'll do
- Build and scale AWS infrastructure and reusable platform abstractions that simplify development, with a strong focus on Amazon EKS, networking, and self-hosted services.
- Identify improvement opportunities and emerging risks, and propose novel solutions that improve reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency before constraints become blockers.
- Automate shard buildouts and implement Terraform guardrails and hardened ingress that reduce incidents.
- Scale systems for multi-shard, multi-region growth while meeting compliance attestations (SOC 2, ISO 27001, etc), disaster recovery, and enterprise security requirements.
- Partner with SRE, Security, product, AI, and enterprise teams to bridge infrastructure and product engineering.
- Own the reliability of Cloud Platform itself: on-call, incident response, postmortems, runbooks, and prevention.
- Use AI tooling daily to accelerate development, testing, IaC, operations, and investigations, and help the team raise its AI leverage.
What we're looking for
- 6+ years building and operating large-scale distributed systems with a focus on infrastructure and cloud, especially compute foundations.
- Deep, hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting Kubernetes in production, including control-plane, node, and networking issues, ideally Amazon EKS at fleet scale.
- Strong AWS experience: EKS, EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, VPC networking, IAM, S3, KMS. Bedrock is a plus.
- Multi-account AWS (20+ accounts) experience, including Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, VPC routing, DNS, and load balancing.
- Infrastructure-as-code at scale with Terraform (CDK experience is a plus).
- Fluent coding in at least one language (Go, Python, or TypeScript/Node.js preferred).
- Experience with hybrid monolith/microservices architectures.
- Experience operating data stores at scale, such as PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, S3, and Redis/Valkey.
- Track record of improving infrastructure reliability and efficiency and implementing security guardrails.
- Strong production debugging across application and infrastructure boundaries, clear written communication, and effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Daily AI user with concrete examples of how AI supercharged your engineering workflow.

ABOUT BASETEN
Baseten powers mission-critical inference for the world's most dynamic AI companies, like Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma, and Writer. By uniting applied AI research, flexible infrastructure, and seamless developer tooling, we enable companies operating at the frontier of AI to bring cutting-edge models into production. We're growing quickly and recently raised our $1.5B Series F https://www.baseten.co/blog/announcing-our-series-f/, led by Altimeter Capital, Conviction Partners, and Spark Capital. Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to ship AI products.
THE ROLE
AI is being built by many companies at once. Model labs train more capable models, hyperscalers provide infrastructure and distribution, developers build new AI products, and a growing set of tools gives agents more to work with. Baseten sits at the center of all of it, as the inference platform that developers and large companies use to run AI in production.
We’re hiring a backend/distributed systems engineer to join our Product Platform in following areas:
- Commercialization, billing, and partnerships
- Developer productivity and agentic development
- Observability platform
Please come join our growing team to work on exciting problems. A few sample projects and responsibilities will include
- Design and build scalable telemetry ingest and storage pipelines for metrics, logs, and traces across Baseten’s multi-cloud infrastructure
- Own and evolve core observability platforms, driving migrations and architectural improvements that improve reliability, reduce cost, and scale with organizational growth
- Build world class commercialization and billing systems
- Work on some of the most strategic and exciting partnership integrations
- Develop internal infrastructure and tooling that improves developer velocity, CI/CD, and deployment safety.
- Own the internal AI agent platform end to end — architecture, build, rollout, operation, measurement.
- Own Baseten's testing strategy end to end — define the standards, the tiers, and the tooling that engineering teams build against.
- Drive adoption through developer experience — good defaults, clear docs, low friction — not mandate.
- Improve platform reliability through better alerting, incident tooling, and production debugging workflows.
- Lead technical design for cross-team projects and make sound tradeoffs between speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.
- Partner with infrastructure, model performance, and product teams to understand what they need to see and ship faster.
- Raise the engineering bar through code review, mentorship, and clear technical writing.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience, with a focus on building scalable backend systems and platforms.
- Experience building or operating observability systems (logging, metrics, tracing) or internal infrastructure at scale.
- Proficiency in Python, Go, Rust, or a similar backend language.
- A firm grasp of quality and engineering principles: you understand both the what and the why.
- Strong systems-level thinking: you understand how the components of a distributed system interact and how data flows through each part.
- Platform mindset: you build for adoption and self-service, treat internal engineers as customers, and would rather ship a good default than write a style guide.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
BENEFITS
- Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
- (U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents
- Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!)
- Paid parental leave
- Fertility and family-building stipend through Carrot
- (U.S. only) Company-facilitated 401(k)
- Exposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities.
Apply now to embark on a rewarding journey in shaping the future of AI! If you are a motivated individual with a passion for machine learning and a desire to be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team, we would love to hear from you.
At Baseten, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. We provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, genetic information, disability, or veteran status.
We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable law (by example, the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, where applicable).
