Workplace: Hybrid
ABOUT THE ROLE
For a small business, getting paid isn’t an abstract technical problem. It affects whether they can pay their people, buy supplies and take on their next opportunity. We connect money movement with financial context to help small businesses manage cash flow with greater confidence.
Payments is one of Xero’s biggest areas of investment and growth. As a Lead Engineer on Payments Platform, you’ll join early-stage initiatives and make foundational architectural decisions for capabilities that power money movement across Xero and enable new product lines globally. Your work can span shared platform capabilities and customer-facing payment products, including global bill payments.
You’ll stay hands-on in production code and proofs of concept while setting the technical direction other engineers and teams build on. It’s an opportunity to shape both the technology and the engineering practices of a growing team, with a direct connection to the problems small businesses face every day
THE TECHNICAL CHALLENGES
- A shared payments platform: Build orchestration, risk and fraud, and multi-provider capabilities that work across products and markets, helping teams launch new payment products faster without rebuilding the same foundations.
- Global bill payments: Make a complex financial process feel simple for small businesses while keeping it accurate, secure and connected to the accounting record.
- High throughput at scale: Design reliable, secure distributed services that remain dependable under real-world production constraints.
- Customer impact alongside architectural progress: Selectively rebuild and enhance existing systems, delivering value quickly while moving toward a coherent long-term architecture.
- AI capabilities customers can trust: Apply AI to challenging product problems while protecting customer trust, and bring the same discipline to how we evaluate and operate those capabilities.
IMPACT
- First 6 months: You understand the payments platform, its consumers and the customer problems it enables teams to solve. You’ve shipped production code and aligned the team on the architecture and roadmap for at least one core capability, such as onboarding, orchestration, risk and fraud, or multi-provider support. Through mentorship, technical reviews and practical improvements, you’ve helped elevate the team’s engineering capability.
- First 12 months: Your architectural decisions are operating in production and helping new payment products launch faster. You’ve helped establish engineering standards and clear ownership for the Vancouver Payments team, and your work is reaching small businesses through faster, safer ways to pay and get paid.
OWNERSHIP
You’ll own the technical direction for your area of the payments platform, from design and proof of concept through production and on-call. You’ll lead architecture, API design and technology decisions for that area, with end-to-end accountability for reliability, security and operational excellence.
You’ll work closely with engineering and cross-functional partners to make trade-offs explicit and turn direction into delivery. Your impact will come from both your own technical contributions and the capability you build in others.
Because both the initiative and the Vancouver team are early in their development, you’ll also help shape engineering practices, quality standards and AI-assisted ways of working that make the team more effective over time.
WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
- Lili Kan https://www.linkedin.com/in/lilixkan/, GM/VP, Payments Platform Engineering. Lili brings extensive experience building platforms and leading engineering teams in Silicon Valley. She previously led Payment Intelligence engineering at Stripe, building systems that protect payments from fraud. Before that, she spent four years at Uber, working across platform services, systems for operating self-driving fleets, and Driver Safety & Insurance Engineering.
- Jing Feng https://www.linkedin.com/in/jingff, Head of Engineering, Payments Platform. Jing brings engineering leadership experience from Uber, Apple, LinkedIn and Yahoo. Most recently, she led Risk Product Engineering at Uber, building capabilities to detect and prevent fraud and risk.
WHAT YOU BRING
Must-have:
- A proven track record of delivering highly available distributed backend systems and high-throughput services under real-world production constraints, with strong operational practices.
- Experience building platforms or products from an early idea into production, then evolving them as adoption and complexity grow.
- Deep understanding of system architecture, API design, and relational and non-relational databases, including the trade-offs between different approaches.
- Proficiency in a modern backend stack, such as C#, Java, Go or C++, and experience with cloud-native platforms such as AWS.
- Strong technical leadership: setting direction, mentoring engineers, fostering an inclusive culture and breaking complex problems into clear, actionable plans that lead to delivery.
- A hands-on approach to production code, proofs of concept and technical deep dives, alongside advanced use of AI tools to improve development workflows, with appropriate judgment and validation.
Nice to have:
- Experience in payments, fintech or money movement, such as payment orchestration, risk and fraud, or multi-provider integrations. Experience from adjacent domains with demanding reliability, security or correctness requirements is valuable too.
- Experience selectively rebuilding or modernizing established systems while continuing to deliver value to customers.
- A strong track record of partnering with Product, Design and other cross-functional teams to turn complex business needs into resilient engineering solutions.
HOW WE WORK
We’re bold in our vision and pragmatic in execution, delivering useful improvements along the way rather than waiting for a large rewrite. We invest in AI to learn faster and focus effort on higher-value problems, while engineers stay accountable for what they ship. We use shared frameworks to avoid reinvention, leaving teams room to innovate. Engineers own their work, including quality, reliability, and on-call. Leaders set context and priorities, and engineers help shape the solutions.
WHERE WE WORK
We offer a hybrid model that blends the flexibility of working from home with the collaboration of the office, including designated boost days in our modern office spaces. This role is open to hybrid candidates in Vancouver, British Columbia, or San Mateo, California. We also welcome applications from candidates across Canada interested in relocating to Vancouver, and from remote candidates in Seattle, Washington.
OUR HIRING PROCESS

2. Technical assessments: a coding assessment and a systems design assessment, run through an independent third-party provider and based on real-world scenarios.

5. LEADership (45–60 minutes): real examples of how you lead, influence and deliver in ambiguous, fast-changing environments, assessed against Xero's leadership principles.

Come join us and help shape a safer, simpler digital future.
As part of 1Password’s Developer Relations team, you’ll grow our presence where developers learn, share, and connect—especially on X, Reddit, and other relevant online communities. You’ll create technically accurate content, build relationships with technical creators, support product launches and events, and turn developer conversations into measurable audience growth and product interest. Your work will help advance 1Password’s mission to unleash employee productivity without compromising security. Reporting to the Director of Developer Relations, this role is remote within the United States, with the San Francisco Bay Area preferred.
How we’re using AI today
Our Engineering, Product, and Design teams are thoughtfully integrating AI across the full software and product development lifecycle to move faster without sacrificing quality or security. In practice, that looks like engineers using AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate reviews and catch bugs earlier, product managers synthesizing user research at scale, and designers rapidly prototyping and iterating with AI-generated mockups. We approach AI the same way we approach security: with clear principles, human accountability at every consequential decision point, and rigorous evaluation before anything ships to customers.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.
What we're looking for:
• Experience in developer marketing, technical social media, community growth, or developer relations.
• A track record of growing a developer or technical audience, with a clear understanding of your contribution and results.
• Strong writing skills and the ability to turn technical ideas into clear, engaging content.
• Technical fluency, including the ability to follow developer documentation, try tools or integrations, and collaborate comfortably with engineers.
• Experience coordinating creator partnerships or marketing campaigns involving multiple contributors, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Preferred: Experience marketing developer tools, security products, infrastructure, or artificial intelligence (AI) tools; an existing network of developer creators and community builders; or experience with employee advocacy, paid social experiments, or campaign attribution.
What you can expect:
• Grow 1Password’s developer audience through campaigns and ongoing engagement across X, Reddit, and other relevant channels.
• Create posts, threads, and short-form content about developer workflows, product capabilities, security, and AI agents, partnering with engineers and developer advocates to ensure accuracy.
• Identify and build relationships with technical creators, coordinate campaign briefs and deliverables, manage approved budgets, and track performance.
• Support product launches with creator partnerships and social content that help developers understand new capabilities and get started.
• Build an employee ambassador program that helps engineers share technical insights, projects, and lessons learned in their own voices.
• Participate in developer communities by contributing useful answers, identifying relevant conversations, and bringing developer feedback back to the team.
• Amplify developer events, experiment with new formats and messaging, and use engagement, qualified traffic, and attributable signups to improve the program and connect campaigns to product adoption.
USA-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $133,000 USD and $186,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
Canada-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $125,000 CAD and $175,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.

This posting is for an existing vacancy.
Our culture
At 1Password, we prioritize collaboration, clear and transparent communication, receptiveness to feedback, and alignment with our core values: keep it simple, lead with honesty, and put people first.
You’ll be part of a team that challenges the status quo, and is excited to experiment and iterate in search of the best solution. We’re looking for individuals who are proven experts in their fields, as well as those who are highly adaptable, can thrive in ambiguity and through change, are curious, and above all deliver results.

Embracing the future of AI isn't just encouraged—it's an essential part of how we will be successful at 1Password.
This approach extends to our hiring process—candidates are welcome to use AI tools responsibly and thoughtfully during the application process. To us, this means we do ask that you join live interviews without using AI tools so we can get to know how you communicate, solve problems, and collaborate with others.

We are building AI to simulate the world through merging art and science.
We believe that world models are at the frontier of progress in artificial intelligence. Language models alone won’t solve the world’s hardest problems – robotics, disease, scientific discovery. Real progress requires models that experience the world and learn from their mistakes, the same way that humans do. And this kind of trial and error can be massively accelerated when done in simulation, rather than in the real world.
World models offer the most clear path to general-purpose simulation, changing how stories are told, how scientific progress is made and how the next frontiers of humanity are reached.
Our team consists of creative, open minded, caring and ambitious people who are determined to change the world. We aspire to continuously build impossible things and our ability to do so relies on building an incredible team. If you are driven to do the same, we'd love to hear from you.
*Titles posted to our careers page are updated regularly to best advertise the role and expected seniority, but internally we have a flat titling system with two types of titles: one for individual contributors and one for people managers.

- Strong fundamentals in financial modeling with a rigorous and quantitative approach to measuring operational success.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to distill complex financial concepts into simple, digestible narratives for non-financial stakeholders.

About the role
We are looking for a Principal Engineer to help define and drive the next generation of GitLab’s Fulfillment platform.
Fulfillment ensures that customers receive the right product access and can manage seats, usage, and spend across GitLab.com, Self-Managed, Dedicated, and other deployment models. Its core areas include entitlements, licensing and provisioning, seat management, usage visibility, and cost management.
The existing platform has served GitLab for approximately a decade and now faces significant challenges in scale, maintainability, and architectural complexity. This role will help us understand where we are today and define how Fulfillment should work over the next ten years.
This is a senior player-coach role. You will influence across organizational boundaries while remaining hands-on in design, implementation, technical problem-solving, and mentorship.
What you’ll do

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
The vision for Claude Marketplace is to create an ecosystem flywheel, connecting builders and buyers. We're hiring a Product Manager to own the Marketplace as a product, for the partners who sell on it and the customers who buy through it. You'll work closely with the Marketplace team, which owns the partner and customer relationships as well as the commercial motion, and build on systems owned by other product and engineering teams. You'll have a lot of room to define and build the experience fitting for an AI native world.
Key responsibilities
Own the Marketplace product end to end for partners and customers, from onboarding and listing through purchase and billing
Design the commercial workflows behind the Marketplace from first principles, so they scale and meet partners' and customers' finance, audit and compliance requirements
Shape the business strategy and commercial incentives with Business Development, Finance and Legal, and build them into the product
Be the product voice partners hear from, and turn signals from partners, customers and the field into a roadmap
Define the Marketplace's success metrics and how they're measured
Minimum qualifications
Have owned a product end to end, including the operational workflows behind it, and were the person accountable for its outcomes
Have built with or shipped on top of large language models, and have used them to make a product experience better
Have led cross-functional work where most of the teams you depended on didn't report to you, and earned their trust quickly
Can present to executives at partner companies and represent Anthropic well in front of them
Write clearly enough that an engineer, an executive and an external partner can each see the tradeoff you're making
Care about Anthropic's mission, and specifically about building an ecosystem where the companies that build on Claude grow along with it
Preferred qualifications
8+ years of product management experience
Played an active role in a marketplace, app store or partner ecosystem, on either the platform or the partner side
Taken a product from zero to one, where the users, the product and the economics all had to be worked out at once
Go-to-market instincts: how co-sell motions, partner programs and platform economics work in enterprise software
Experience/familiarity with high growth AI native companies, including their business models and growth vectors
Location
San Francisco, New York City or Seattle.
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
Annual Salary:
$305,000
—
$385,000 USD
Logistics
Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study:
A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience:
Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
Your safety matters to us.
To protect yourself from potential scams, remember that Anthropic recruiters only contact you from @anthropic.com email addresses. In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. Legitimate Anthropic recruiters will never ask for money, fees, or banking information before your first day. If you're ever unsure about a communication, don't click any links—visit

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

• Strong cross-functional communication skills and the ability to collaborate with Growth, Product Marketing, Analytics, creative partners, and other stakeholders.
• Experience supporting B2C or prosumer audiences, SaaS products, or self-serve customer journeys, along with familiarity with lifetime value (LTV) and CAC analysis.
• Experience using AI-enabled tools or automated workflows to improve campaign execution, reporting, analysis, or decision-making.
What you can expect:
• Contribute to the PLG and Self-Serve performance marketing strategy across B2B and B2C audiences.
• Manage assigned paid channels and programs from awareness through conversion, including planning, execution, optimization, and reporting.
• Launch and optimize campaigns, evaluate channel performance, and identify opportunities across audiences, messaging, creative, and funnel stages.
• Build productive vendor relationships, manage account partnerships, and negotiate for stronger performance and value.
• Monitor leading indicators such as clicks, signups, trial starts, activation, and cost per acquisition, as well as outcomes including paid conversions, subscription volume, revenue, and retention.
• Design, run, and document experiments across channels, audiences, creative, offers, pricing pages, and other parts of the customer journey.
• Use AI agents and automated workflows to improve execution speed, reporting efficiency, and the quality of performance insights.
• Collaborate with campaign managers, Product Marketing, Growth, Analytics, and other partners to share learnings and make informed recommendations.

How we work with AI
We are committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology—including AI—to achieve our mission. We also understand that thinking critically about AI in its current forms will help us create better solutions for our customers and ourselves with its future forms, which will help us continue to close the gap between security and privacy and achieve our mission. We want team members at all levels to take the approach of actively learning AI best practices, identifying opportunities to apply AI in meaningful ways, and driving innovative solutions in their daily work.

We’re scaling fast and staying true to what makes us different: an open-source legacy, a global collaborative culture, and a passion for meaningful work. Our team thrives in an innovation-driven environment where transparency, autonomy, and trust fuel everything we do.
You may not meet every requirement, and that’s okay. If this role excites you, we’d love you to raise your hand for what could be a truly career-defining opportunity.
About Grafana Labs:
There are more than 700,000 active installations of Grafana around the globe, monitoring everything from beehives to climate change in the Alps. The instantly recognizable dashboards have been spotted everywhere from a SpaceX launch and Minecraft HQ to Wimbledon and the Tour de France. Grafana Labs also helps companies including Bloomberg, JPMorgan Chase, and eBay manage their observability strategies with full-stack offerings that can be run fully managed with Grafana Cloud, or self-managed with Grafana Enterprise Stack. The Grafana stack has grown to include more open-source projects, including Grafana Loki (for logs) and Grafana Tempo (for traces) and Grafana Mimir (for metrics).
Description of Duties
We’re looking for a Staff Technical Writer to create documentation and learning content that helps people adopt and master Grafana’s observability products. You’ll work with engineers, product managers, and the Grafana writing team to produce content for a range of products and audiences, from first-time users to experienced practitioners. Because our products and priorities evolve, we’re looking for someone who learns new technical domains quickly.
AI is part of how this team works. We use AI-assisted workflows and tools throughout the content lifecycle, from research and drafting to review, validation, and maintenance. You’ll use these tools every day and help the team get better at using them.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, research, write, and maintain documentation and learning content (concepts, tasks, tutorials, references, and in-product learning) that supports adoption and long-term product mastery.
Use AI tools and workflows to work faster and at a higher quality: drafting, structuring, technical validation, consistency checks, and keeping content current. You apply human judgment to everything AI produces and take responsibility for its accuracy.
Contribute to the team’s shared AI workflows and skills, and look for ways to improve and automate how we create and maintain content as tools and models evolve.
Partner with engineers, PMs, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements, interview subject matter experts, and turn complex technical detail into clear, accurate content.
Test what you document. Run the software, follow your own procedures, and flag product and UX gaps you find along the way.
Let data guide your priorities. We have strong docs and learning analytics. You’ll use them, along with user feedback, to find content gaps, prioritize your work, and show the impact of what you ship.
Work with the documentation manager and other writers to improve information architecture, voice, and consistency across our docs, and to make information easy to find for both people and AI-driven search and assistants.
Manage several projects at once, using judgment to prioritize and communicate clearly when the plan changes.
Mentor teammates and share practices that raise the quality of the team’s work.
Requirements
What experience would make someone be successful in this role?
Experience writing or documenting enterprise or developer-facing software, with a portfolio or writing samples that show technical depth.
Hands-on experience using AI tools and models in your writing workflow (such as LLM assistants, agentic coding tools, or custom prompts and skills), and the ability to explain how you evaluate and verify their output.
Experience working with docs-as-code: command-line Git, GitHub (pull requests and reviews), Markdown, and common IDEs.
Comfort working in technical environments. You can set up, run, and troubleshoot software yourself to verify what you write (for example, command line, containers, or Kubernetes, or a willingness to learn quickly).
Experience collaborating with engineers and product managers to get accurate technical information.
Experience working remotely and asynchronously on a distributed team.
What you’ll bring to the role
Curiosity about AI as a craft. You treat AI workflows as a professional skill. You experiment, share what works, and know where AI helps and where it doesn’t.
Technical credibility. You care about accuracy, you learn new technical domains quickly, and you ask questions until you understand them.
Strong judgment and editing skills. You can tell good content from plausible-sounding content, and you hold the line on quality.
Ownership. You manage multiple projects and work well both independently and collaboratively.
Clarity. You write concisely and plainly for readers of all experience levels.
Bonus: Experience with observability, monitoring, or cloud-native tooling, or contributing to open source documentation.

Production Engineering embeds with product and platform teams across Figma to help them deliver reliable products faster. Our work spans the stack, from browser performance to backend services and infrastructure. We build tools and practices that reduce operational complexity, clarify important signals, and leave teams confident operating their systems. We value curiosity, thoughtful engineering, and practical progress on problems that matter to the business.
As Engineering Manager, you’ll own the team’s strategy, priorities, delivery, and people development. You’ll work with product and platform leaders to decide where the team can make the biggest difference, balancing immediate production needs with lasting improvements. You’ll use your technical judgment to challenge assumptions and assess risk while giving engineers room to lead.
This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.
What you’ll do at Figma:
Coach and develop production engineers, including experienced technical leaders, through direct feedback and opportunities to shape technical strategy and lead work across teams
Set priorities and guide delivery for the team’s embedded work with Figma’s product and platform organizations. Align partners on outcomes, responsibilities, and tradeoffs, and resolve competing demands
Guide improvements to observability, incident response, and production tooling that reduce recurring toil, surface actionable signals, and make services easier for product teams to understand and operate
Partner with engineers on long-term technical direction, design, and production reviews, supporting their ownership of technical decisions and holding the team accountable for delivery
Anticipate reliability and scaling challenges alongside partner-team leaders, and prioritize improvements that support upcoming product goals
Turn lessons from work with product teams and production incidents into reusable tools and practices that strengthen partner teams’ ownership and make on-call more sustainable
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
Experience managing engineering teams and developing senior engineers, helping them grow their technical judgment, leadership, and impact
Experience building and operating complex software systems at scale, with the technical judgment to guide decisions across the stack and learn unfamiliar systems
Experience leading complex initiatives across engineering teams and cross-functional partners, earning trust beyond your reporting line, resolving competing priorities, and delivering shared business goals
Sound judgment about reliability, security, and sustainable operations, with clear communication and respect for engineers’ technical ownership
While it’s not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
Experience building shared reliability platforms, observability or distributed tracing systems, or tooling that reduces toil across multiple engineering teams
Familiarity with traffic management, service discovery or service meshes, container orchestration, infrastructure as code, or capacity and performance engineering
Experience improving incident response processes and reducing on-call burden
At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.

As a Program Manager on Anthropic's Safeguards team, you'll help make sure we meet our obligations under AI safety laws and regulations around the world. Working closely with Legal, you'll turn new and emerging requirements into programs, controls, and deliverables. This requires a detailed understanding of how our models and products are built, evaluated and safeguarded. Your work will support Anthropic's commitment to developing AI safely and beneficially as the regulatory landscape evolves.
The responsibilities listed below are some examples of areas that someone in this role could own, depending on their experience and the team's needs.
Key responsibilities
Manage and drive complex safety initiatives that identify, assess and mitigate risks from frontier models, from initial risk assessment through to the deployment of safeguards
Partner with the Safeguards incident management team to strengthen incident response and reporting processes, including the policies that determine how incidents are escalated and when they must be reported externally
Conduct post-incident reviews, and work with the subject matter experts for each harm area to incorporate the findings into model and product safeguards
Own the safety strategy and deliverables for AI systems used in high-risk settings, including risk assessments, technical documentation, and the information that deploying customers need to use those systems safely
Define the safety and risk controls that our models and products require, ensure that each control has an owner and a documented procedure, and confirm that it operates as intended
Partner closely with the owners of each risk area to develop a deep understanding of AI risks, safety evaluations and mitigation strategies, and use that understanding to prepare safety documentation, transparency reports and regulatory submissions
Minimum qualifications
Experience in trust and safety, AI safety or a related field, including designing and implementing safeguards against misuse or harm
Understanding of AI safety, including the principal risk areas and the evaluations and safeguards used to address them, well enough to engage substantively with the technical experts responsible for them
Experience running risk assessment or harm mitigation programs from identification through to resolution
Experience translating policy or regulatory requirements into practical operational processes
Ability to drive complex, cross-functional programs to completion in a fast-moving environment, including with technical teams outside your own discipline
Clear written communication, including documentation for technical, legal and external audiences
Strong attention to detail, and the judgment to recognize when work is at risk and raise it early
Commitment to the safe development and deployment of AI
Preferred qualifications
Experience with AI-specific regulation, such as the EU AI Act
Experience leading incident response programs, including escalation paths and external reporting obligations
Experience preparing safety documentation, transparency reports or regulatory submissions
Experience working with technical and research teams on safety evaluations
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
Annual Salary:
$245,000
—
$285,000 USD

About the job
We are actively recruiting for this role to fill an existing vacancy. This position will be responsible for working constructively with our customers and partners to resolve billing issues and fraudulent misuse of services.
We are seeking a sharp, highly data-oriented, and tenacious Fraud Specialist to join our team. Unlike a traditional billing or collections role focused on routine outreach or simple invoice review, this position is a hybrid of financial investigation, root cause analysis, and strategic dispute negotiation. In this role, you will look for billing discrepancies, investigate Artificially Inflated Traffic (AIT) or IRSF (International Revenue Share Fraud), dig deep into messaging and call data, project manage high-value customer and vendor disputes, and build data-backed cases to resolve discrepancies. You will build dashboards to communicate key metrics and drive action. If you love solving complex data puzzles, negotiating with external parties, and finding win-win outcomes, this is the role for you.
You will be part of a company that is the category leader in Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS), an organization working with the largest customers and partners, and a team of operators and former consultants that have delivered exceptional impact. If you have an extreme owner / founder mindset and a desire to solve big challenges, you’ll find yourself at home.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
Advise account managers, accounting, and management on best practices to handle billing disputes
Negotiate with customers and carriers with an understanding of resolution levers available as per contractual terms and industry norms
Identify, analyze, and handle fraudulent misuse (such as Artificially Inflated Traffic) and billing errors (such as rate differences) with both vendors and customers
Own the end-to-end lifecycle of customer and vendor disputes from intake of disputes to initiating disputes, tracking progress, and ensuring timely, documented resolution
Uncover and resolve discrepancies, overcharges, and unpaid balances with carriers and customers due to quantities, rates, currency, and other root causes
Dig into call and messaging data to identify why bills don’t match or find evidence of fraud
Build dashboards that communicate key metrics related to the lifecycle of disputes
Read contracts and interpret what should be the invoice versus what it is
Act as the primary point of contact to negotiate dispute resolutions, settlements, and payment terms in accordance with company practices
Partner closely with data analytics, engineering, and accounting to reconcile accounts
Qualifications
Twilio values diverse experiences from all kinds of industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. If your career is just starting or hasn't followed a traditional path, don't let that stop you from considering Twilio. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!
*Required:
8+ years of professional experience in telecom operations, fraud operations, customer success, vendor management, procurement, collections, or consulting.
Sharp written and verbal communication skills.
Experience negotiating disputes constructively with customers or vendors.
Experience in collections, dispute resolution, or billing analysis.
Experience in project management.
Experience wrangling data with Excel / Google Sheets, Looker or SQL.
Desired:
Understanding of the A2P SMS ecosystem, international traffic routing, international revenue share fraud (IRSF), artificially inflated traffic (AIT) and the ecosystem profit chains.
Understanding of industry standards with respect to AIT and fraud handling such as frameworks from i3forum, GSMA, MEF or ITW Global Leaders’ Forum.
Understanding of Call Detail Records (CDRs) and ability to build strong dispute case files.
Experience working with workflow platforms like Airtable or building dashboards.
Experience in telecom, technology, or consulting industries.
Experience with advanced data analysis like Python or scripting
Experience with AI and automation tools to accelerate productivity.

WHO WE ARE
Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkpYpWfEK5s. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.
Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Developer Platform https://www.notion.com/product/dev engineer, you will directly contribute to the foundational pieces that make Notion extensible and connected. You will build tools, APIs, and platform experiences that help customers connect Notion to the world — bringing their apps, data, and workflows into one workspace. Your work will make it easier for developers, admins, and builders to create reliable integrations and automations on top of Notion.
You will be a key player in building the robust technical foundation that allows Notion to achieve the connected workspace vision. Your work will include both internal platform contributions that accelerate other Notion engineering teams and end-user-facing functionality that enables toolmaking ubiquity. You will be presented with challenging technical problems, as Notion’s product needs are complex. You’ll play a key role in identifying and executing against technical investments that ensure the long-term quality, reliability, and performance of Notion’s platform as we scale.
This role can be based in either San Francisco or New York City. We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (our Anchor Days) because we do our best thinking and building together in person. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to work alongside the team during those days.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE:
- You’ll work with a team of engineers and cross-functional partners across product, design, data science, and user research to define a product strategy and drive execution through conception, research, implementation, and maintenance.
- You’ll evolve Developer Platform capabilities across APIs, MCP tools, and integration infrastructure that help customers automate workflows, customize Notion, and connect Notion to the tools and data they use every day.
- You’ll contribute to the overall performance, reliability, and robustness of the Notion product, ensuring it scales elegantly across many dimensions.
- You’ll partner with engineering leaders to identify and execute against high-leverage technical investments that ensure the long-term flexibility and sustainability of our core systems.
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING:
- 7+ years of experience shipping production software, with a strong track record of owning features end-to-end
- Fluency with TypeScript across both backend and frontend
- Strong product instincts: you can take a vague problem, propose a solid technical approach, and know when to cut scope
- You don’t need to be an AI expert, but you’re curious and willing to adopt AI tools to work smarter and deliver better results
NICE TO HAVES:
- Experience building developer tools like APIs and SDKs
- Experience driving teams toward shared goals and balancing business priorities with individuals’ strengths, areas of interest, and career development goals
- Familiarity with AI/agent tooling, evals, or LLM-driven product experiences
Notion is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role’s scope and complexity, and the candidate’s experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. A NOTE ON AI
You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.
