About the Team
Netlify is a product-led growth company with an unusually large organic top-of-funnel, where tens of thousands of people discover and sign up for Netlify every day. That organic motion is real and meaningful, but paid acquisition is a new investment area for the marketing team, and there's a clear opportunity to build that capability from the ground up.
As Senior Manager, Demand Generation & Performance Marketing, you'll own paid acquisition end to end - strategy, channel selection, budget, and the agency relationship that supports execution. You'll report to the CMO, with a planned transition to the VP of Growth Marketing as that function scales, and work closely with Marketing Operations, Data, Lifecycle, and Campaigns to make sure paid-acquired users don't just land, but convert and stick. This is a builder role at a company where the organic foundation is already strong, and your job is to build the paid layer that extends its reach.
What You'll Do
Build and own Netlify's paid acquisition strategy end to end, including paid search, paid social, retargeting, sponsorships, and any other channels worth testing and proving out.
Own the call on where paid creates incremental value for Netlify. Design the tests, prove which channels and audiences drive growth our organic funnel wouldn't have delivered anyway, and decide where to scale, where to hold, and where not to spend at all.
Manage the agency relationship(s) supporting paid/performance work by setting the brief, holding the agency accountable to targets, and deciding what to bring in-house as the function matures.
Own budget planning, pacing, and ROI reporting for all paid spend, and make the case for where to double down or pull back.
Partner with Marketing Operations to get attribution and UTM tracking right before scaling spend, so every dollar is measurable.
Define target audiences and channel mix aligned to Netlify's ICP; partner with Product Marketing on messaging inputs for paid creative.
Build the measurement framework for CAC, signup/pipeline contribution, and payback by channel.
Partner with Lifecycle and Campaigns to make sure paid-acquired users flow into the right onboarding and activation journeys, not just land and drop off.
As the program proves out, build the roadmap and case for a fully staffed paid/performance team.
What You'll Bring
6+ years in demand generation or performance marketing, with direct ownership of a paid acquisition budget in a B2B SaaS or product-led growth environment
Hands-on experience running paid search, paid social, and retargeting programs yourself - not just briefing agencies or reviewing their reports
A track record of standing up or significantly scaling a paid acquisition program at an early stage, where you had to build the infrastructure and not just optimize what was already there
Experience managing an external agency or partner relationship, including setting performance expectations and holding partners accountable to them
Working knowledge of attribution and marketing measurement, and a history of partnering with Marketing Ops or Data teams to get tracking right before spend scales
Some experience marketing to developers or technical audiences, or with a PLG motion where paid acquisition runs alongside a large organic and self-serve funnel
This Role Is a Great Fit If
You're energized by building and scaling a new paid program, not just optimizing one that's already mature.
You think like an owner of budget and outcomes, not just a briefs-and-reports manager of an agency.
You're comfortable moving between strategy (channel mix, targeting, budget allocation) and getting into the details yourself when it matters.
You care about attribution being right before spend scales, not as an afterthought.
You want to build in close partnership with Lifecycle, Campaigns, and Marketing Ops rather than run paid as a separate lane that hands off a spreadsheet at the end of the quarter
Applying
Not sure you meet 100% of our qualifications?
Please apply anyway!
When applying please include:

What The Role Is
We're hiring a Staff MLE for the Discovery team to own recommendations and personalization across Babylist's consumer experience — the homepage feed, product recs, search, and the ML-powered systems that make registry building feel effortless.
Babylist was built on editorial recommendations: products chosen by people with deep baby gear expertise. That editorial foundation is a big part of why millions of families trust us. We're now building ML-powered personalization on top of it, using one of the richest first-party datasets in parenting.
We're early in this work, and we have a real mandate. A small Discovery team has initial retrieval and reranking models live on parts of the site and a steady cadence of A/B tests. We are looking for a Staff MLE who has seen personalization done well at scale and can set the technical direction for where we go next.
Registry building is the heart of the Babylist product. Every parent builds a list of dozens of products, from swaddle to stroller, with real stakes (a friend or family member is going to buy these things, and a baby is going to use them). As a universal registry, this registry also typically spans many retailers. This makes registry building on Babylist one of the most interesting personalization problems in consumer e-commerce: latent intent, life-stage progression, multi-stakeholder gift dynamics, deep declarative signal in millions of completed registries, cross-retailer datapoints, and a user who genuinely wants help.
If you want to join a mature ML org and tune models at the margins, this isn't the right role. If you've worked inside a strong recommendations team, learned what good looks like, and want to build from zero-to-one at a company earlier in the journey, read on.
What You'll Own
You'll be the technical lead for personalization on the Discovery team, working alongside a PM, Engineering Manager, Senior MLE and fullstack software engineers. You set where our models go over the next year or two, sequence the bets that get there, and stay deep in building. A few examples of the problems you’ll get to shape:
Product recommendations across every surface.
Product detail pages, add-next recommendations after someone adds to their registry, vibes/aesthetic representations of products and the shared models underneath them.
Personalizing the Feed.
Deciding which products, editorial content and social content each family sees, and in what order.
Personalizing search.
Bringing what we know about a family into search results, and helping decide how much search should share retrieval and ranking with recommendations.
Making Addie (our AI registry assistant) better at recs.
Working with the team behind Addie so its product suggestions draw on the same models and signals as the rest of the site.
In practice, you will:
Take a fuzzy business problem from first sketch to production model, and own whether it moved the metric.
Make the modeling and architecture calls that span surfaces and are expensive to reverse.
Design the evaluation, offline and online, that tells us a model is good before and after it ships.
Know when a rule or a simple baseline is the right first step, and when it's time to pursue more advanced approaches.
Partner with product, design and data to help shape what's worth building.
Coach engineers on the team, and more broadly be an ML expert and resource to the wider engineering org.
Who You Are
You’ve shipped recommendation and/or personalization systems that reached real users at scale within a consumer product, and can point to the business impact of your work. You’ve done this within a team that did ML well — you know what good looks like, and are motivated to bring that to a company earlier in their ML journey.
You bring:
Expertise in recommender fundamentals: for example, candidate generation vs. ranking, offline vs. online evaluation, cold start solutions, and handling position and popularity bias.
Fluency in the Python ML stack and comfort owning models through deployment and monitoring, including contributions to our application backend.
An ability to take an ambiguous problem and start moving before anyone hands you the full picture.
A builder's instinct for early-stage ML. You understand effort vs. effectiveness tradeoffs and can advocate for when a rule beats a model, or a model is “good enough” for early learnings.
An outcome and user focused mindset. You measure yourself by business impact, and you can connect a model change to user experience & registry adds, conversion or revenue.
AI-native daily practice. You're already using AI to move faster and improve your output, and you stay curious about what's coming next.
Compensation
We post real numbers. For a Canada-based Staff Engineer, the starting base salary range is 299,300 to 372,600 CAD plus a target annual bonus of 20 percent of base. That's total target cash of roughly 359,160 to 447,120 CAD. On top of that you get meaningful equity and a 401(k) match. Where you start in that range depends on your experience, and your pay grows from there with performance and scope.
How We Build
AI is the default here. Engineers run agentic sessions for most of the work, and a lot of the interesting engineering now lives in the scaffolding that makes the agents good: the eval harnesses, the curated context, custom review skills and fast CI. Agents also triage incidents and handle a big share of support. A human always owns the outcome.
The architecture is intentionally simple: one Rails monolith, MySQL and few moving parts. That's deliberate. Simple infrastructure lets us move fast and lets AI reason about the whole system, so the hardest problems are the ones in front of customers.
The Stack
Core app:
Rails, Packwerk, React, TypeScript, Sidekiq
Mobile:
iOS (Swift), Android (Kotlin)
Data, search & events:
MySQL, Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Weaviate, WarpStream, Hex, Sigma
Machine learning:
deep learning, matrix factorization, retrieval & ranking, AWS SageMaker, MLflow
AI & dev tooling:
Claude Code, Devin, Linear, CodeRabbit, Warden, LangChain, Bedrock AgentCore, Maxim
Infra & ops:
AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Datadog, incident.io, LaunchDarkly
Key integrations:
Shopify (payments), Iterable (CRM)
Why Babylist
An engineer, expecting her first baby, couldn't find the registry she wanted. So she built it. That's how Babylist started, and it's still how we work: engineers solving problems for families. Becoming a parent is one of the biggest moments in a person's life. Millions reach it for the first time every year, making thousands of decisions and figuring it out as they go. That's who we build for, and we're a long way from done.
Ten million people give gifts through Babylist every year. We did more than $750M in revenue in 2025, up 45 percent over the year before, and we've been profitable for eight years while staying independent. So you can take on a hard, multi-year problem without watching over your shoulder for the next round or the next correction. And the team is small, around 65 engineers, so what you ship stays visible and your scope stays wide.
How We Work
Remote-first across the US and Canada, and we have been for years. That's not changing. We trust you to own your time and your outcomes, and we get everyone in a room together twice a year. Teams are small, pods of three to five engineers, so nothing you ship disappears into a committee. You'll work shoulder to shoulder with product, design and data, and with the partners across the business who rely on what you ship. You'll also stay close to customers yourself: sitting in on user interviews, watching session recordings, riding along with support. Here that's part of the engineering job, on a regular basis.
How We Hire
Three rounds, usually two to three weeks start to finish.
Recruiter conversation (30 minutes).
Trade context: what you want next, what we're building and straight answers on comp, team and remote.
Technical screen (1 hour).
One round, no AI, language-agnostic. Reach for Google when you normally would. We just want to see how you reason from first principles.
Final round (4 hours).
Four one-hour interviews: system design, AI-assisted coding with the tools you'd actually use here, product sense and culture and values. You'll hear back either way within 24 to 48 hours.
If your timeline is tight, tell us and we'll move faster.
Benefits
Company-paid medical and fully covered dental and vision
A 401(k) match
Generous paid parental leave for birthing and non-birthing parents, plus a gradual return-to-work program
Winter Wonder Week, a paid company-wide week off at the end of the year
A remote-work stipend
Mental-health and wellness support
A Few Things To Know
We record and transcribe interviews to evaluate candidates, in line with applicable privacy laws.
We expect you to use AI in your work and we welcome it in the process, but what you submit and say should reflect your own thinking.
If you have a family member or close relationship with a Babylist employee, let your recruiter know.
Official outreach only ever comes from an @babylist.com address

Workplace: Hybrid
ROLE HIGHLIGHTS:
- Role: Forward Deployed Backend/DevOps Engineer
- Location: Portugal (Lisbon)
- Reports to: VP, Forward Deployed Engineering
- Working type: Hybrid (On-site at customer locations approx. 50% of time)
- Must be eligible and able to attain relevant national and NATO security clearances.
- Must be based in-country and native level speaker of the country you're deploying to.
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
In this role, you are the backend and infrastructure backbone defence and intelligence customers rely on. You deploy ICEYE's intelligence platform into secure (often air-gapped) environments and design the high-performance backend systems that move satellite data at scale — fast APIs, resilient services, tuned databases, automated infrastructure. Our stack: Python and Go services on Kubernetes, PostgreSQL and MongoDB, Terraform and Ansible, CI/CD pipelines that also run offline, cloud (AWS) and on-premises air-gapped clusters, with AI-assisted development as the default.
This is a ship-daily role: systems you build run mission-critical workloads analysts use to protect nations.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Platform deployment & operations
- Deploy ICEYE's intelligence platform into customer secure environments (on-premise, air-gapped networks, classified data centres).
- Install, upgrade and operate Kubernetes clusters and containerised applications (Docker) in customer environments — cloud and on-premises.
- Build infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD pipelines that work without external internet access, including offline registries and artifact mirroring.
- Troubleshoot deployment and production issues in disconnected environments, from the application layer down to storage and networking.
High-performance backend systems
- Design and build APIs, services and data pipelines that handle large volumes of SAR imagery and intelligence data with low latency.
- Connect ICEYE systems to customer C4ISR infrastructure and intelligence tools through robust, well-designed integrations.
- Own database design and performance at production scale (PostgreSQL, MongoDB): schemas, indexing, tuning, replication and backup.
- Apply caching, queueing and horizontal scaling patterns deliberately — and capacity-plan for fixed on-premises hardware where you cannot simply scale out.
Reliability, security & observability
- Build monitoring, logging and alerting that work in restricted environments, so problems are found before the customer finds them.
- Harden deployments to meet customer security constraints; own backup, recovery and upgrade paths for systems that cannot go down.
- Run the infrastructure behind AI workloads shipped by the team — model serving, vector databases, GPU nodes — reliably and repeatably.
Customer engagement & rapid delivery
- Work embedded with intelligence analysts, operators and customer IT teams to understand operational and infrastructure requirements.
- Rapidly prototype and iterate (working systems first, polish later) to address immediate operational needs.
- Conduct hands-on training for customer administrators on platform operations.
- Feed deployment experience back to ICEYE's product and engineering teams as concrete technical requirements.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Must-haves
- 5+ years hands-on backend engineering building and operating production systems at scale.
- Strong programming skills in Python. You write typed, tested services and you are comfortable with async APIs. TypeScript is a plus.
- Proven experience designing high-performance backend systems: APIs, distributed services, messaging, caching and databases under real load. Experience with spatial, search, or vector workloads in Postgres is a plus.
- Production experience in both cloud (e.g., AWS) and on-premises environments — this role lives in both.
- Deep Docker and Kubernetes: deploy, debug, and upgrade clusters — not only consume them. GitOps and infrastructure-as-code experience. Pipelines that can run offline or on an isolated network are a plus.
- Observability as a habit: metrics, logs, and alerts are part of done.
- Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD experience, ideally including pipelines that run offline or in isolated networks.
- PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB at production scale: schema design, tuning, replication, backup and recovery.
- Observability as a habit: metrics, logging and alerting are part of done, not an afterthought.
- Builder mindset: ship fast, iterate with feedback, and prioritise working solutions over perfect architecture.
- Strong communication and customer engagement, able to work embedded with intelligence analysts / military operators.
- Strong spoken and written English, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel 40–60% to customer sites within the region.
Nice to have
- Experience in defence, intelligence, or government operational environments.
- Deploying to on-prem data centres and/or air-gapped networks, including offline artifact and registry management.
- Event streaming and high-throughput data systems (e.g., Kafka or similar) at production scale.
- Deeper Kubernetes: operators, service mesh, multi-cluster, storage and networking internals.
- Security hardening and accreditation experience (system hardening baselines, audit and compliance in classified environments).
- Familiarity with geospatial data, satellite imagery, or remote sensing.
- Experience running infrastructure for AI/LLM workloads: GPU scheduling, model serving, vector databases.
- Active use of AI-assisted development tools as part of your daily workflow.
- Experience in defence tech (e.g., Palantir, Anduril, Scale AI, similar startups).

WHO WE ARE
Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkpYpWfEK5s. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.
Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Notion is building the operating system for knowledge work, and we want people to be able to do substantive knowledge work from their phone.
A great native app is what makes that possible. On Android, that means Notion should feel like it was built for the platform: fast to open, smooth to scroll, and reliable offline or on a spotty connection. We’re investing in a more native foundation for how people read, write, and edit in Notion. That lets users capture ideas in the moment, find answers across their workspace, manage tasks and projects, and work with teammates, with the speed, polish, and dependability people expect from the best apps on their phone.
As an Android engineer, you’ll help build that native foundation, from how pages render and how people write and edit, to the navigation and app chrome people use every day, like Home, Search, and Inbox, along with the shared frameworks the rest of the app is built on. You’ll work across the Android stack, with chances to dig into our shared Rust layer and the AI tools we use for mobile development. Along the way, you’ll pair with experienced product and mobile AI engineers to find what slows the team down, try new Android capabilities, and help decide what ships in the app.
This role can be based in either San Francisco or New York City. We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (our Anchor Days) because we do our best thinking and building together in person. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to work alongside the team during those days.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE
- Ship the core Notion experience on Android: Build and polish the surfaces people use every day—opening and reading pages, writing and editing, navigating the app, and the Home, Search, and Inbox tabs—on a native Kotlin and Jetpack Compose stack that is fast to open, smooth to scroll, and dependable offline.
- Build with product and design, and iterate fast: Partner with product managers and designers to turn ideas into shipped features, then use feedback and data to make them better. Use AI coding tools and agents to build, test, and investigate faster, while you stay accountable for review, validation, and quality.
- By the end of your first year, own a core product area: Take a core part of the Android app, like Home, Inbox, or a piece of the editor, from idea to launch, and shape it into an experience that helps people do their life’s work from their phone.
- Make the app feel fast and reliable: Find and fix issues in startup time, scrolling, typing latency, crashes, and memory use across the surfaces you own, and add the tests and monitoring that catch regressions before users do.
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING
- Solid Android fundamentals: You’ve built and shipped Android apps, through work, internships, or your own projects, and you’re comfortable with modern Android—Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines/Flow, and Gradle. Experience with a large, modular codebase is a plus.
- Care for native UI and performance: You enjoy making UI feel fast and smooth, and you’re curious about things like custom text rendering, complex lazy lists, or rich-text editing. Experience with performance profiling, realtime collaboration, or offline sync is a plus.
- Product instincts: You care about how the app feels to use, not just how it works. You sweat the details of interactions and polish, and you use feedback and data to decide what to build next.
- Thoughtful problem-solving and clear communication: You build a clear picture of the problem before jumping to a fix, you can explain trade-offs in writing, and you ask for help early when you’re stuck. Experience moving a hybrid or web-based surface to native, or building something from 0→1, is a plus.
- AI-native, end-to-end engineering practice: You use AI tools and agents as real collaborators, framing tasks clearly, reviewing generated changes, testing behavior, and designing workflows that make the broader team more effective. Web experience (TypeScript, React, Node) is welcome but not required.
Notion is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role’s scope and complexity, and the candidate’s experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. For roles based in San Francisco, the estimated base salary range for this role is $150,000 - $168,000 per year.

A NOTE ON AI
You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.

Notion is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of any legally protected characteristic. Listed on Nasdaq (NBIS) and headquartered in Amsterdam, we have a global footprint with R&D hubs across Europe, the UK, North America and Israel. Our team of 1,500+ includes hundreds of engineers with deep expertise across hardware, software and AI R&D.
About the Tavily at Nebius
In a rapidly evolving world, trust in AI depends on AI agents being grounded in fresh, verified real-world data. Search is the foundation that makes this possible.
Tavily provides the search and intelligence layer that powers AI agents and retrieval systems with trustworthy, real-time information. We work with some of the most innovative teams in AI, from fast-growing startups to global enterprises, helping them build agents that are not only intelligent but informed.
About the Role
We're looking for a senior, full-stack analyst / data scientist to own Product and PLG analytics end-to-end. You'll own the metrics behind our self-serve motion (signup, activation, usage, conversion, expansion and retention)
and find the drivers behind them
. You'll work directly with our CEO and leadership as a thought partner on product and growth decisions.
This role is fully independent. When a question comes up, you take it all the way: from building the pipeline, model the data, train and deploy the model, analyze the results and come back with a clear recommendation. Nothing waits in a queue for someone else. You'll also work closely with the other analysts on the team, share methods and standards, and collaborate across Product, Engineering, Growth, Marketing and GTM.
What You'll Do
• Own Product and PLG analytics end-to-end: define, instrument and measure the self-serve funnel, from first API call through activation, conversion to paid, expansion and churn.
• Uncover the drivers behind top-level KPIs: which behaviors, use cases and product experiences predict activation, retention and monetization.
• Build what you need: data pipelines and models (SQL, dbt, Python, orchestration) that turn raw product, usage and billing data into trusted, reusable datasets.
• Build and ship predictive models (conversion propensity, churn risk, usage forecasting, lead and account scoring) and bring their outputs into product and GTM workflows.
• Design, run and evaluate experiments (A/B tests, pricing and packaging tests, onboarding changes) and apply causal inference where you can't run a clean experiment.
• Proactively monitor key business and product metrics, investigate trends and anomalies, and surface insights stakeholders can act on.
• Partner directly with the CEO and leadership on strategic questions, including pricing, growth levers, product bets and market opportunities, and turn ambiguous questions into clear analysis and decisions.
• Set the standard for how we measure product success: metric definitions, a shared source of truth and analytical rigor across teams.
What We're Looking For (Must-Haves)
• 5+ years of experience as a Product / Growth Analyst, Data Scientist or equivalent.
• 2+ years in a SaaS company, with deep understanding of funnels, cohorts, activation, retention, monetization and PLG dynamics.
• A strong statistical foundation.
• A proven record of working end-to-end on your own, from data engineering through modeling to a delivered recommendation.
• Strong hands-on experience using Python for data analysis, experimentation, machine learning and data modeling in a production environment.
• Comfort working with large, messy, event-level datasets.
• Hands-on experience building, validating and deploying predictive models (e.g., classification, forecasting, segmentation) that were used to make real business decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to influence business strategy through data and drive alignment across cross-functional stakeholders, including executive leadership.
• Strong communication: you can turn complex analysis into a clear, compelling story and a concrete recommendation.
• Experience with modern data tooling (Snowflake/BigQuery, dbt, Airflow, and BI tools like Omni/Looker/Tableau).
• BSc in Statistics / Math / CS or equivalent.
Nice to Have
• Experience at an API-first, developer-focused or PLG company.
• Experience with product analytics platforms (PostHog, Amplitude, Mixpanel).
• Experience with pricing and packaging analysis or usage-based billing models.
• Familiarity with LLMs / AI tooling, and using AI agents to speed up your own analytical work.
• Evidence that you build things on your own: a GitHub profile, portfolio, side projects or publications.
• MSc / PhD in Statistics / Math / CS or equivalent.
Pay Transparency

In your message, answer one question: how do you use AI in your day-to-day work?
Locations: Spain, Bulgaria, or Portugal (relocation assistance may be provided).
Employment: Full-Time.
About the Company/Product: A global B2B product company developing a powerful Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) that uses AI and machine learning to enable organizations to seamlessly connect data sources, cloud applications, and enterprise systems through low-code/no-code automation. The platform is trusted by more than 400,000 customers worldwide, including leading companies such as Visa, Goldman Sachs, Cisco, Amazon, HubSpot, and L’Oréal. The engineering culture emphasizes technical excellence, strong ownership, and close collaboration across globally distributed, remote-first teams.
What You’ll Do:
— Keep the Aurora PostgreSQL fleet healthy across all data centers: building indexes on large and partitioned tables without downtime, analyzing plans, and moving data.
— Handle Aurora configuration (parameters, replicas, failover, capacity) and cost work: rightsizing, merging low-activity databases, and evaluating serverless.
— Take ownership of the PgBouncer layer, which currently needs an owner and a roadmap.
— Review schemas and data models with product teams, advising on partitioning, retention, and shared vs. dedicated clusters, backing recommendations with data.
— Work on the performance of the main application and the search queries behind AI features, including research toward a 10,000 jobs/second target.
— Package the team's existing zero-downtime upgrade and switchover procedures into versioned, released automation, along with provisioning of databases and users, grants, and schema sync across data centers (Terraform, Ansible, GitOps).
— Develop and deploy tooling for monitoring and managing the PostgreSQL fleet in Kubernetes, including monitoring and alerting (exporters, VictoriaMetrics).
— Handle database incidents end-to-end, including root-cause analysis and follow-up fixes, and participate in resilience projects such as a cross-region DR pilot, application reconnect after failover, and CDC pipelines that survive upgrades and failovers.
— Contribute to time-boxed evaluations of new database technologies that end with a decision on adoption.
— Participate in the on-call rotation, with off-rotation time dedicated to uninterrupted project work.
What You Have:
— 5+ years of experience operating PostgreSQL in production (DBA, DBRE, or SRE with a database focus) on databases under real load.
— Deep experience with database schemas: design, debugging, and troubleshooting performance issues in production.
— SQL proficiency, query plans, indexing strategy, and performance work on multi-TB tables.
— Expertise in the PostgreSQL ecosystem: streaming and logical replication, HA and failover setups (Patroni or equivalent), connection poolers (PgBouncer), major-version upgrades and migrations with minimal downtime.
— Linux fundamentals: processes and memory, OOM behavior, networking basics.
— Scripting skills (Bash, Python, or Go) and an automation-first attitude.
— Readiness to work actively with Kubernetes.
— Strong root cause analysis and incident management skills.
— Good level of English — at least Upper-intermediate (B2).
Nice-to-Haves:
— Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and cloud infrastructure (AWS, ideally hands-on Aurora or RDS).
— Experience with different storage systems: ClickHouse, OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, Redis, Valkey, MemoryDB, Neo4j.
— Exposure to Kubernetes basics, GitOps, ArgoCD, or Vault.
— Contributions to open-source database or infrastructure projects.
— Openness to using AI assistants in daily work.
What We Offer:
— Real scale: every database behind a global automation platform, processing billions of events daily.
— Influence on the stack: your analysis in technology reviews shapes which databases the company adopts.
— Top-tier engineering team.
— Competitive base salary + stock options.
— Fully remote work with flexible hours from Spain, Bulgaria, or Portugal.
— Possible assistance with relocation to Spain or Bulgaria (visa support & relocation package).
— Full-time employment with benefits.
— Health and life insurance.
— Flexible vacation policy and paid sick leave.
— Company-provided equipment.
— Company-sponsored team-bonding activities.
— Other competitive benefits depending on location (e.g., wellness programs, education budget, referral bonuses, etc.).
Locations: Spain, Bulgaria, or Portugal (relocation assistance may be provided).
