WHO ARE WE?
Cohere is the leading security-first enterprise AI company. We build cutting-edge foundation AI models and end-to-end products that are designed to solve real-world business problems.
We’re training and deploying frontier models for enterprises who are building AI systems. We believe that our work is instrumental to the widespread adoption of AI and we are looking for folks that want to be part of that.
We obsess over what we build. Each one of us is responsible for contributing to increasing the capabilities of our models and the value they drive for our customers. Cohere is a team of researchers, engineers, designers, and more, who are all passionate about their craft.
We are a global technology company headquartered in Toronto with key offices in London, New York City, San Francisco, Montreal, Paris, Berlin and Seoul. Join us!
About North:
North https://cohere.com/north is Cohere's cutting-edge AI workspace platform, designed to revolutionize the way enterprises utilize AI. It offers a secure and customizable environment, allowing companies to deploy AI while maintaining control over sensitive data. North integrates seamlessly with existing workflows, providing a trusted platform that connects AI agents with workplace tools and applications.
Why this role:
The Data Abstractions & Tools team is the group inside North responsible for how users bring their data into the platform and put it to work. We own the systems that let users upload, organize, and share their files and knowledge bases, the framework for extending agents with skills and third-party integrations, and the data-sync pipeline that connects enterprise data sources to North's agents.
North connects to a growing set of external tools and data sources so its agents can act on a user's real workflow. This role owns the integration pipeline end-to-end: adding new integrations to the platform, helping other engineers do the same, and becoming the owner of the process that makes that repeatable. You will also create the evals and tests that make sure those integrations work as expected and keep working as the platform evolves.
In this role, you will:
- Build new integrations (tools) on the North agentic platform, and maintain the ones already in production.
- Own the integration pipeline: the process for adding a new tool, from design to shipping to ongoing maintenance.
- Help other engineers add integrations of their own, and raise the bar for how the team does it.
- Create evals and tests to make sure integrations work as expected and alert on regressions.
- Tune tool descriptions to improve performance based on feedback and evals.
- Use AI actively in your work, while staying accountable for the quality and reliability of what you ship.
You may be a good fit if:
- You have shipped production code and are comfortable building integrations against external APIs.
- You have a background in evaluating agentic systems (ideal), or at minimum know what an eval is and are comfortable with prompt engineering and tool-description tuning.
- You excel in fast-paced environments and can execute while priorities are a moving target.
- You bring high agency: you learn quickly and drive change without waiting for perfect instructions.
- You've owned things end-to-end before and care about the quality of what ships, not just that it shipped.
- You enjoy helping other engineers succeed, not just shipping your own work.
Working Location:
This role can be based remotely or from one of our office locations listed on the job description - there is no minimum in-office qualification requirement. We care most about hiring exceptional people regardless of locations, though please check the location listed on the posting for guidance around the core time zone or working hours alignment expected for the role.
FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES AT COHERE ENJOY THESE PERKS:
- A weekly lunch stipend of $75/£75 or equivalent in your local currency for lunch.
- Full health and dental benefits, including a separate budget for mental health.
- RRSP matching, 401K, Pension Scheme.
- 100% Parental Leave top-up for up to 6 months, for either parent.
- Annual enrichment benefits:
Arts & culture, fitness/wellness, quality time, and a workspace improvement credit.
Education & learning stipend for conferences, courses, and coaching.
- 6 weeks of paid vacation (30 working days!)
- Budget for traveling to other offices if you are remote, plus an annual company offsite.
HOW AND WHERE WE WORK:
- Cohere is remote-friendly, but we also have offices in Toronto, London, New York City, San Francisco, Montreal, Paris, Berlin and Seoul with more opening soon.
- For those in the office: a daily lunch program, plenty of snacks, and regular community and social events.
- For those not near an office: a co-working benefit so you can work alongside others in your city.
- Everyone receives a $500 home office stipend to set up your workspace properly.
If any of the above doesn’t line up exactly with your experience, we still encourage you to apply.
We strive to create an inclusive work environment for all; we welcome applicants from all backgrounds and are committed to providing equal opportunities. Should you require any accommodations during the recruitment process, please submit an Accommodations Request Form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/12a6IrLdF3kI2nonKSr4tiFuz18rLQbaeYV-JM9L4o9Q/edit, and we will work together to meet your needs.

From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About Us
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data.
T
ogether, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on. Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions.
As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact. During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.
About the Role
Fivetran and dbt Labs are building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies. We're looking for an engineering manager to lead our Metadata team, which owns the metadata layer of the dbt platform: the discovery API, catalog, lineage, and run history services that let customers understand, trust, and act on what their data is doing.
You'll own technical excellence and delivery of a single team, from evolving high-throughput APIs and data models, to hardening reliability and latency for enterprise and single-tenant customers, to shipping new discovery and catalog capabilities in close partnership with product. You'll set direction, review designs and code, remove roadblocks, and grow the engineers on your team through coaching, feedback, and clear career development.
What You'll Do
Lead and grow a team of software engineers, owning hiring, onboarding, coaching, career development plans, and regular 1:1s and check-ins
Own project delivery for your team against the quarterly plan, and be accountable for the reliability and performance of the services you own (e.g. uptime and latency targets)
Review technical designs and code, and provide feedback grounded in a deep understanding of the Metadata product area and architecture
Drive the team to address technical quality — incidents, bugs, tech debt, and post-mortems — within SLA and metric targets
Partner with product and business stakeholders on planning, and maintain a realistic, prioritized feature and project backlog with a high completion rate
Contextualize and communicate the engineering vision and strategy to your team, and share the team's work and business impact with adjacent teams
Ensure engineering processes (e.g. FDLC) are implemented and consistently followed
Delegate effectively and build autonomy and a positive, high-trust culture within the team
Address performance issues and conflict promptly and fairly
Ensure your team uses AI tooling — IDE assistants like GitHub Copilot, coding agents like Claude Code, and conversational AI — to accelerate development and to author and review SDLC artifacts such as TDDs, PRDs, post-mortems, and test plans
Skills We're Looking For
Experience managing and growing a software engineering team (ideally a customer-facing product development team); including hiring, coaching, and running a full performance and career-development cycle
Strong technical foundation with the ability to review designs and code and make sound architectural trade-offs in a distributed, cloud-based systems environment
Track record of delivering complex projects on schedule while holding the team to high standards of quality, reliability, and performance
Experience owning production services and driving operational health — incident response, on-call practices, tech-debt reduction, and meeting SLAs
Ability to plan and prioritize with product partners, maintain a realistic backlog, and drive high sprint and quarterly completion rates
Communicates clearly and effectively across the team and with adjacent teams and stakeholders; keeps people well informed
Fluent in using AI code assistants, coding agents, and conversational AI (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT) to support the software development lifecycle, and able to establish those practices across a team
Bonus Skills
Experience building or operating metadata, catalog, lineage, or discovery/search systems
Experience with GraphQL APIs and high-throughput, multi-tenant data services
Familiarity with the analytics engineering workflow and the dbt ecosystem
Experience supporting enterprise or single-tenant customers with strict reliability and latency requirements

Prepare and review monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations, owning resolution of complex or aged items
Analyse and explain month-on-month P&L and Balance Sheet movements, providing insight rather than description
Lead the production of certain financial slides and commentary for Group month-end close presentations
Partner closely with the Settlement and Reconciliation team in Serbia, owning the integrity of settlement, reconciliation, and control account processes across systems
Act as a key contact for the external group, and small entity audits, managing certain auditor requests and owning challenging deliverables across group entities, and taking end to end ownership on a portfolio of smaller audits. .
Design, document, and strengthen financial controls and processes, identifying and delivering improvements independently and continuously.
Deputise for the Deputy Financial Controller on defined workstreams and support ad-hoc technical projects directed by the Deputy Financial Controller, the Group Financial Controller, or Group Finance Director
Leadership & Ownership
Provide technical guidance and review to more junior team members, supporting their development and the quality of their output
Work independently on ambiguous or complex problems, structuring your own approach and bringing solutions rather than questions
Relentlessly drive efficiency and automation in day-to-day practices, reducing time spent on repetitive and administrative tasks without sacrificing quality.
Work with the team to meet agreed service levels and deadlines, and fulfil additional duties as the business requires
Supporting Accounts Payable
Support approval of regular payment runs by the AP team.
What You’ll Need To Be Successful In This Role:
Essential:
Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA)
4–5 years+ post-qualified experience, with demonstrable exposure to complex, technical accounting matters

Solid knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, and tax
Proven ability to work independently and own and deliver complex deliverables end to end
Strong working knowledge of spreadsheets and comfort handling large, complex datasets

A curious, driven, solution based mindset, with the demonstrated ability to investigate the root cause of an issue and find an appropriaate solution.
Competencies:
Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to see the bigger picture

Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to convey complex financial data clearly to non-finance and senior finance stakeholders
Proactive, self-starting approach with a track record of driving improvement
Willingness to learn and drive to take on stretch responsibilities
Desirable:
Functional understanding of NetSuite
Strong technical capability to contribute to automation and process improvement projects, including data tools (e.g. SQL, Databricks)

You can work from anywhere within this region. We value deep focus and async collaboration, with intentional moments to connect in person through team off-sites, optional co-working, and occasional travel.
What you’ll do
- Work across Product and GTM (Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Finance) to turn ambiguous questions and operational needs into useful metrics, models, analyses, and workflows
- Build and maintain dbt models and pipelines that create trusted views of our product, customers, and business
- Design clear, maintainable data models and improve the testing, documentation, performance, and reliability of our data stack
- Build dashboards and self-service reporting in Metabase and Hex, and dig deeper when the answer requires more than a chart
- Operationalize data through reverse ETL and partner with GTM Engineering on the scoring, segmentation, automations, and internal tools that help our teams scale
- Balance fast, pragmatic answers with durable solutions, recognizing when a one-off request should become a reusable model or workflow
- Find ways to leverage emerging tools, LLMs, and coding agents to accelerate development, analysis, testing, and documentation while maintaining a high bar for correctness
What we're looking for
- 8+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data analytics, or data engineering, ideally at a fast-moving software company
- Exceptional SQL and strong hands-on experience with dbt and a modern cloud data warehouse
- Track record of owning data projects end-to-end, from shaping an ambiguous problem to shipping something people rely on
- Strong data modeling judgment: you think clearly about grain, reusable components, interfaces, dependencies, and maintainability without relying on a single prescribed methodology
- Analytical judgment: you know when to answer quickly, when to investigate deeply, and how to turn complex findings into a clear recommendation
- Comfortable moving between technical implementation and business context, from debugging a data model to understanding product adoption or sales efficiency
- High ownership mentality: self-directed, pragmatic, and willing to challenge a request or approach when something does not make sense
- Strong communication skills and experience partnering directly with both technical and non-technical teams
- Comfortable using LLMs and coding agents as part of your day-to-day development workflow
Our tech
This stack reflects the systems you’ll work in. You’re not expected to have experience with everything listed, but you should be comfortable learning quickly and working across the full lifecycle of data.
- Data Warehouse: Snowflake, dbt Cloud
- Dashboards / Analysis: Metabase, Hex
- ETL / rETL: Hevo, Fivetran
- GTM tools: Hubspot, Pocus, Clay
What we offer
We're a small, focused team that cares deeply about the quality of our work and the people we do it with. Here's what you can expect:
- Competitive salary and equity
- Employee-friendly equity terms including early exercise in the US and extended exercise windows
- Daily meal and coffee stipend on every workday
- Paid co-working space or desk
- Health coverage (based on country requirements)
- 5 weeks paid vacation, plus local statutory holidays
- 4 months paid parental leave
- Paid month off after 4 years & every 2 years thereafter
- Regular team events and off-sites
- Remote-first with no required commute

MISSION STATEMENT
We are seeking a Senior Rust Engineer with deep trading systems experience and strong AWS knowledge to join our core Capital Markets division. Candidates with a passion for the Rust ecosystem and a proven track record designing, building, and operating mission-critical trading systems will be at a significant advantage.
As part of the engineering team in Capital Markets, you will take ownership of high-impact trading infrastructure, set technical direction in your domain, and drive continuous improvement in system performance, reliability, and operability. You will join a highly-profitable, fast-paced division within Keyrock, where you will be expected to make a senior individual-contributor impact while collaborating with a global, fully-remote team. This role is open to candidates located in European time zones.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Design, develop, and optimise low-latency, mission-critical trading systems
- Own key trading stack components end-to-end — from architecture through to production operation

- Contribute to functional, component, and production-readiness testing for critical trading components
BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Production-grade Rust experience building high-performance, concurrent systems; proficiency with Tokio is a strong advantage
- Hands-on experience in a systematic trading environment (HFT, Market Making, Quantitative Trading, or similar), with solid understanding of execution, market data, and operational risk
- Strong AWS and Linux expertise, including cloud infrastructure trade-offs for latency-sensitive workloads, shell scripting, debugging, and production troubleshooting
- Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for strategy development, automation, and operational tooling
- Deep familiarity with trading system protocols (FIX, REST, WebSocket), exchange connectivity, and market data feeds
- Solid grasp of low-latency networking: TCP/UDP, packet and latency path analysis, dedicated network infrastructure, and kernel bypass techniques (DPDK)
- Familiarity with agentic engineering tools and concepts: LLMs, MCP APIs, AI-First IDEs (e.g. Cursor, Claude Code), harness engineering, and workflow automation
- Ability to make sound architectural decisions, articulate trade-offs clearly, and guide implementation across complex systems

- Initiative & Problem-Solving – Approach challenges with a problem-solving entrepreneurial mindset. Make sound, independent judgments and take the initiative to drive solutions rather than waiting for instructions.
