You’ll focus on strategic enterprise prospects and customers, guiding them through complex DevSecOps and software delivery transformations across areas like CI/CD automation, secure development, and infrastructure modernization. In this role, you'll act as a key connector between customer stakeholders and GitLab’s field organization so GitLab is seen as a trusted, long-term partner before, during, and after the sale. In your first year, you’ll be expected to build and manage a healthy enterprise pipeline, create repeatable sales motions, and drive successful rollouts and adoption that translate into measurable results and long-term expansion.
What you'll do
Support GitLab’s strategic large prospects and customers as a trusted advisor throughout their DevSecOps journey.
Drive the full sales cycle in large, complex enterprises, including prospecting, qualifying, developing, and closing new opportunities across your assigned accounts.
Provide strong account leadership and direction in both the pre-sales and post-sales process to ensure customers realize value from GitLab’s AI-powered DevSecOps platform.
Coordinate closely with Solutions Architects, Customer Success, Support, and strategic channel partners to design and execute account strategies that drive adoption, expansion, and retention.
Develop and execute structured account plans based on customer business needs, including opportunity mapping, stakeholder alignment, and multi-threaded engagement across technical and business teams.
Ensure successful rollout and ongoing adoption through proactive account management activities, regular business reviews, and clear alignment on customer outcomes.
Prepare and deliver accurate activity and forecast reports, and contribute to root cause analysis on wins and losses while sharing lessons learned with account managers, marketing, and technical teams.
Act as the voice of the customer by sharing feedback and product ideas, and use a consultative approach to create proposals, quotes, and presentations that clearly link GitLab’s solutions to customer business objectives.
What you'll bring
A true desire to see customers achieve meaningful outcomes and long-term value from their investment in GitLab.
Experience driving complex B2B software sales cycles with large enterprises, ideally in DevSecOps, software development tools, or adjacent SaaS solutions.
Proven success selling into large, strategic organizations, with the ability to build trusted relationships with C-level and senior stakeholders across business and technical teams.
Able to provide a high degree of account management and control, working under minimal supervision on complex opportunities while maintaining clear communication and alignment.
Ability to generate new business and expand existing accounts through consultative, multi-stakeholder sales motions that result in sustainable, long-term partnerships.
Experience collaborating with strategic channel partners to develop opportunities, co-sell, and support successful customer adoption.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills, with effective written and verbal communication that influences internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred experience with Git, software development tools, application lifecycle management, or security/application security tools.
You share our values and work in accordance with them, use GitLab in your daily work, and are able to travel if needed while following GitLab’s travel policy.

You'll collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Data Analysts, with a particular focus on backend development in Ruby on Rails and frontend work in Vue.js. This role gives you the opportunity to combine your fullstack engineering skills with product thinking and experimentation, shipping small changes quickly and measuring their impact on real customer outcomes.

Improving the tooling the team uses to run and read out experiments
What you'll do
Design, build, and iterate on A/B tests and experiments that increase first purchases on GitLab.com and self-managed GitLab.
Build and improve registration, trial, onboarding, and in-product upgrade and purchase experiences to increase completion of these steps.
Implement backend features and services in Ruby on Rails and frontend experiences using Vue.js.
Analyze experiment results and product usage data with Data Analysts to decide which changes to keep, iterate on, or roll back based on first-purchase outcomes.
Collaborate with Product Managers and UX Designers to define hypotheses and success metrics before shipping experiments, then compare results against those metrics.
Maintain and improve our experimentation framework and tooling to increase experiment throughput and reduce the time from setup to results.
Collaborate with other Engineering teams, including Fulfillment, to remove purchase barriers across GitLab’s codebase.
Document decisions, review code, and share experiment results asynchronously so distributed teammates can track shipped changes and their measured outcomes.
What you'll bring
Professional experience developing with Ruby on Rails and modern JavaScript, along with solid Git, feature development, and deployment workflows.
Experience working with relational databases and a solid understanding of web performance optimization.
A track record of shipping features to production and owning them after release.
Ability to use product data to decide what to build, keep, or roll back.
Ability to document decisions and share updates asynchronously with distributed Product Management, UX, and Data teammates.
Ability to organize your work, seek and apply feedback, and collaborate inclusively with teammates from diverse backgrounds, in line with GitLab’s values.
Preferred, not required: experience with Vue.js, PostgreSQL, A/B testing, feature flags, experimentation frameworks, or SaaS sign-up, trial, billing, or checkout flows. We'll help you learn our tooling.

An overview of this role
What does software planning look like when people and artificial intelligence agents work together? As a Staff Product Manager for Planning at GitLab, you'll help answer that question and lead the team toward a clear product direction. This isn't just about improving traditional agile planning. You'll rethink how intent becomes actionable work, how that work moves through software development, and where human involvement is needed.
You'll develop a point of view on planning's future and turn it into product decisions with engineering, design, and product leadership. That includes exploring how planning could connect work to business priorities and budgets, rather than assuming the answer is already decided. Alongside that strategic work, you'll share ownership of existing planning capabilities with another product manager.
We're opening this role at Staff level, with flexibility to consider Principal level based on your experience and scope of impact.
What you'll do
Define a clear direction for planning as software development shifts toward collaboration between people and artificial intelligence agents, and help the team move from open questions to concrete priorities.
Shape how users capture intent, break it into actionable work, and determine which work can proceed autonomously and which needs human involvement.
Evaluate whether and how planning should connect software delivery to company priorities, business objectives, and budgets.
Share ownership of planning capabilities, including work items, boards, specifications, and portfolio planning, with a fellow product manager. Help define how that scope is divided.
Work with engineering and design to translate product direction into a roadmap and improvements to planning workflows across GitLab.
Communicate your recommendations clearly to senior leaders, challenge assumptions constructively, and lead the team through changes in direction.
What you'll bring
Experience leading product strategy and execution for software development, developer tools, or planning products, with the depth to make decisions in a specialized product area.
A strong understanding of software development and development and operations (DevOps) workflows, including how planning decisions affect downstream delivery.
The ability to form and defend a product point of view in an uncertain, changing market, while staying open to different ideas.
Clear communication with technical teams and senior executives, including experience challenging leadership decisions constructively and building support for a direction.
The ability to connect a forward-looking strategy to practical product decisions and work collaboratively across product, engineering, and design.
About the team
The Planning team builds the capabilities at the start of GitLab's software development workflow, including work items, boards, specifications, and portfolio planning. Decisions here affect how work moves through the rest of the platform, so the team's scope extends beyond standalone project management tools.
You'll work alongside another product manager and partner with engineering and design across this product area. The division of product ownership is still being shaped, and you'll help define it. The hiring manager wants you to bring a different perspective, question established approaches, and challenge senior leaders constructively, with room to influence decisions beyond your immediate product scope.
GitLab's mission is to enable everyone to contribute to and co-create the software that powers our world. Our platform brings software development, security, and operations together.
The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently for residents of the United States only. This range is intended to reflect the role's base salary rate in locations throughout the US. We are looking for
IT Support & Operations Specialist
.
Your main tasks will be:
Run the infrastructure end-to-end: VPS, dedicated servers, virtual machines, VPN, MFA, firewall, remote access — plus the monitoring, logging, and backups that keep it honest.
Administer Google Workspace completely — accounts, groups, aliases, security policy, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, and any migrations that come with it.
Own Slack, OpenAI, and every other SaaS platform we run — including version and system migrations when they happen.
Be the actual IT support for a distributed team — L1/L2 on Mac and Windows, onboarding and offboarding, remote laptop setup, device lifecycle.
Negotiate with vendors, manage procurement, and control payment on cloud resources, licenses, and invoices — the part most sysadmins never touch, but you will.
Show up occasionally when we run an offline "station" and physically set up the room — laptops, mics, sound.
We expect from you:
You've spent 5+ years as a sysadmin or in IT ops, and you've actually run Google Workspace top to bottom — including a domain migration, not just user management.
You know Slack, Confluence, Jira, and SSO/2FA (Okta, Google, Azure AD or similar) from hands-on use, not a course.
You've got working knowledge of at least one public cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure) and the on-prem basics — DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN, firewall.
You've built and tested backups, not just scheduled them, and you understand mail security (SPF/DKIM/DMARC) well enough to fix it when it breaks.
You've dealt with vendors and procurement directly — contracts, invoices, renewals — this isn't a nice-to-have here, it's half the job.
Scripting (bash/Python/PowerShell) is a plus, not a requirement.
Your English and Russian are both solid enough — B1+ — to run a call with a vendor without a script.

Workplace organization.
The company provides all employees with an equipped workplace and all the necessary equipment (table, armchair, wifi, etc.) in our offices or co-working locations.
