How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Data Infrastructure designs, operates, and scales secure, privacy-respecting systems that power data-driven decisions across Anthropic. Our mission is to provide data processing, storage, and access that are trusted, fast, and easy to use.
We're looking for infrastructure engineers who thrive working at the intersection of data systems, security, and scalability. You'll tackle diverse challenges ranging from building financial reporting pipelines to architecting access control systems to ensuring cloud storage reliability. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders while diving deep into cloud infrastructure primitives.
Responsibilities:
Within Data Infra, you may be matched to critical business areas including:
Data Governance & Access Control:
Design and implement robust access control systems ensuring only authorized users can access sensitive data. Build infrastructure for permission management, audit logging, and compliance requirements. Work on IAM policies, ACLs, and security controls that scale across thousands of users and systems.
Financial Data Infrastructure:
Build and maintain data pipelines and warehouses powering business-critical reporting. Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and availability for complex financial systems, including third party revenue ingestion pipelines; manage the external relationships as needed to drive upstream dependencies. Own the reliability of systems processing revenue, usage, and business metrics.
Cloud Storage & Reliability:
Architect disaster recovery, backup, and replication systems for petabyte-scale data. Ensure high availability and durability of data stored in cloud object storage (GCS, S3). Build systems that protect against data loss and enable rapid recovery.
Data Platform & Tooling:
Scale data processing infrastructure using technologies like BigQuery, BigTable, Airflow, dbt, and Spark. Optimize query performance, manage costs, and enable self-service analytics across the organization.
You might be a good fit if you:
Have 10+ years (not including internships or co-ops) of experience in a Software Engineer role, building data infrastructure, storage systems, or related distributed systems
Have 3+ years (not including internships or co-ops) of experience leading large scale, complex projects or teams as an engineer or tech lead
Can set technical direction for a team, not just execute within it
Have deep experience with at least one of:
Strong proficiency in programming languages like Python, Go, Java, or similar
Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi) and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS)
Can navigate complex technical tradeoffs between performance, cost, security, and maintainability
Have excellent collaboration skills - you work well with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong candidates may also have:
Experience with security and compliance requirements (ITGC, GDPR, financial controls)
Background in data warehousing, ETL/ELT pipelines, or analytics infrastructure
Experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and cloud-native architectures
Track record of improving data reliability, availability, or cost efficiency at scale
Knowledge of column-oriented databases, OLAP systems, or big data processing frameworks
Experience working in fintech, financial services, or highly regulated environments
Security engineering background with focus on data protection and access controls
Technologies We Use:
Data: BigQuery, BigTable, Airflow, Cloud Composer, dbt, Spark, Segment, Fivetran
Storage: GCS, S3
Infrastructure: Terraform, Kubernetes, GCP, AWS
Languages: Python, Go, SQL

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the Role
Anthropic's Infrastructure organization is foundational to our mission of developing AI systems that are reliable, interpretable, and steerable. The systems we build determine how quickly we can train new models, how reliably we can run safety experiments, and how effectively we can scale Claude to millions of users — demonstrating that safe, reliable infrastructure and frontier capabilities can go hand in hand.
Developer Productivity owns the end-to-end experience of how engineers and researchers at Anthropic develop, build, test, and ship code at scale — from the source control and language ecosystems that underpin our monorepo, to the build and CI infrastructure that keeps thousands of daily builds running reliably across multiple cloud providers, to the developer acceleration tooling that deeply integrates Claude into engineering workflows.
Team Matching: Team matching is determined after the interview process based on interview performance, interests, and business priorities. Please note we may also consider you for different Infrastructure teams.
Responsibilities:
Own the technical strategy and roadmap for your area, translating team-level goals into concrete execution plans
Define infrastructure architecture, ensuring the hardest problems get solved — whether by you directly or by working through others
Design and build scalable, reliable distributed infrastructure and shared libraries that support high-volume workloads across all engineering teams
Own and evolve build environments, package management, and dependency systems to enable fast, reproducible builds
Define and implement language ecosystem standards, tooling, and frameworks that drive developer productivity across research and production workloads
You may be a good fit if you:
Have deep experience with build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and/or developer tooling in a large monorepo environment
Have strong proficiency in Python, Rust and/or Go
Are obsessed with developer productivity and reducing friction in the software development lifecycle
Have experience with container orchestration and infrastructure at scale
Have excellent communication skills and enjoy supporting internal partners to improve their development experience
Are excited about designing foundational systems and are comfortable working independently on ambiguous, high-impact technical challenges
Strong candidates may have:
15+ years (not including internships or co-ops) of experience in a Software Engineer role, building and operating large-scale developer infrastructure
3+ years (not including internships or co-ops) of experience leading large scale complex projects or teams as a tech lead
Experience with CI orchestration tools (Buildkite, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar) and merge queue management at scale
Experience building or operating remote build execution systems (Bazel Remote Execution API, BuildBarn, BuildBuddy, or similar)
Experience with Nix/NixOS/Docker and managing large image / package sets at scale
Experience building CLI tools, developer-facing services, and GitHub API and automation workflows
Deadline to apply: None. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Deep understanding customer/prospect needs and spot opportunities to expand Wrike within existing accounts.
Research competitors, consumer behavior, market trends, product developments, and lead acquisition methods to inform strategy and identify opportunities for cross-selling

Senior Designer, Visual Interaction Design
In a nutshell:
We’re looking for a Senior Visual Interaction Designer to join our Cambridge Studio who is passionate about crafting elegant, thoughtful user experiences, and who brings strong visual design craft to the interactions people have with complex design systems, software, services, and each other.
Senior Visual Interaction Designers at IDEO shape how experiences look, feel, and behave. In this role, you’ll translate human-centered insights into clear, compelling interactions and interfaces that are functional, expressive, and meaningful. You’ll balance visual excellence with usability, and bring a distinct visual voice to each design challenge while learning and growing alongside a multidisciplinary team.
This is a phenomenal opportunity for designers who are highly self-guided, eager to take on complexity, and motivated to continually sharpen their craft.
Once here you will:
Contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects spanning data, experience, interaction, digital product, and service design across a range of industries
Work across all phases of a project, from research synthesis and concepting through prototyping, refinement, and production-ready execution
Translate human-centered insights into interaction models, visual systems, and polished digital interfaces
Create “looks-like / works-like” prototypes to explore ideas, test assumptions, and communicate concepts to teammates and client stakeholders
Collaborate closely with designers from different backgrounds—including design research, business design, industrial design, and communication design—to develop cohesive, holistic experiences
Design across a wide variety of mediums and contexts, such as mobile apps, AI experiences, websites, digital/physical systems, room-scale displays, AR/VR, or voice interfaces, always guided by user needs and context
Advocate for high-quality visual and interaction design, contributing to a culture of strong craft, curiosity, and experimentation
Design Craft + Relevant Experience
Relevant experience and/or educational background required in visual, interaction, or graphic design across digital products or experiences
A strong portfolio demonstrating visual excellence, thoughtful interaction design, and a clear point of view on typography, color, layout, and motion
Comfort working at multiple levels of fidelity, from rough explorations to refined, production-ready designs
Experience in delivering low and high fidelity prototypes.
Proficiency with contemporary design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Framer, Principle), with curiosity about emerging tools and technologies
Familiarity with motion, code, or physical computing (e.g., HTML/CSS, After Effects, Processing/P5, Arduino) is a plus, but not required
Mindset
Systems-oriented thinker who can engage with complex, interconnected challenges and design for clarity within them
Highly self-guided: able to take initiative, manage your own work, and move ideas forward with limited direction
Curious and experimental, with a willingness to try things, learn from failure, and iterate quickly
Strong collaborator who contributes thoughtfully to team discussions and is open to feedback and critique
Clear communicator with the ability to articulate design decisions visually and verbally, and an understanding of how design creates value in a broader business and organizational context
What does IDEO offer you?
IDEO is a place where you can solve diverse, complex challenges for our clients or the organization, alongside thoughtful, intelligent individuals who lead with curiosity, empathy, and optimism. We work hard, but we also intentionally craft moments that allow our community to pause, create, and connect. We encourage our community to bring their whole selves to work, respect the need for work-life balance, and allow for autonomy in the design process and your career.
Application Instructions:
To apply, please submit your resume, cover letter, and your portfolio. Your portfolio should include at least 4 examples of work-related projects. In particular, we want to hear about the processes involved in developing the designs or projects.

In case you hadn’t noticed, Anthropic is growing fast. Really, really fast. The People Products team exists to support Anthropic’s mission by defining the blueprint for AI at work. We help hire the best person in the world for every job, ensure manager effectiveness, ramp new hires successfully, and ensure that we apply first principles thinking in how we shape Anthropic’s culture through the tools we build. We cover the entire employee lifecycle from hiring to onboarding, teamwork, and promotions.
You’ll work directly with Claude, with access to capabilities no external team has, on problems that are genuinely unsolved. You’ll move fast — prototype to production in days or weeks. We believe in cross-functional thinkers who can reason across product, design, and engineering. You’ll be given high autonomy, own your decisions, and ship constantly. If you’ve experienced the pain of bad people practices and want to be the person who fixes them at the most consequential AI company in the world, this is that job.
Responsibilities
Build full-stack end-to-end across the People Products portfolio.
Design and implement AI-native workflows: build tools, evals, prompts, and products. You’ll help define what is possible in applied AI for people processes.
Work directly with internal stakeholders — HR teams, recruiters, managers — to understand problems, gather feedback, and iterate quickly without waiting for requirements to be handed down. No gatekeeping, you are expected to talk to your customers.
Make product and architecture decisions independently in a low-structure environment: knowing when to cut scope, when to ship, and when to ask for input.
Contribute ideas for how the team works, what it builds, and where applied AI can have the most leverage in people workflows.
You Might Be a Good Fit If You:
Have 8+ years of relevant experience as a Fullstack or product engineer, with a track record of leading complex, multi-month projects or teams as a tech lead or equivalent
Have shipped LLM-native features or applications.
Derive joy from hard work and the act of creation.
Are experienced enough to build big features independently, and make great architectural decisions along the way.
Are self-sufficient end-to-end: you can go from idea to production without needing a designer, PM, or architect to unblock you.
Move fast without cutting corners: you hold a high quality bar and know how to make smart tradeoffs under time pressure.
Engage directly with users and criticism: you’re comfortable talking to internal customers, hearing hard feedback, and incorporating it quickly.
Are genuinely mission-driven: you care about the intersection of AI and people practices, not just the technical puzzle.
Are a collaborative, supportive teammate: you bring people along, communicate clearly about tradeoffs, and make the people around you better.
Strong Candidates May Also Have:
Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or prior experience building Claude or LLM integrations in production.
Background at an AI-native company or in a product-focused 0->1 engineering environment.
Experience with HR tech platforms such as Greenhouse, Workday, or Rippling.
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
Annual Salary:
$405,000
—
$485,000 USD
Logistics
Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study:
A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience:
Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
Your safety matters to us.
To protect yourself from potential scams, remember that Anthropic recruiters only contact you from @anthropic.com email addresses. In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. Legitimate Anthropic recruiters will never ask for money, fees, or banking information before your first day. If you're ever unsure about a communication, don't click any links—visit

directly for confirmed position openings.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
