At JetBrains, code is our passion. Ever since we started, back in 2000, we have strived to make the strongest, most effective developer tools on earth. By automating routine checks and corrections, our tools speed up production, freeing developers to grow, discover, and create.
We just unveiled JetBrains Central, a platform for agent-driven software development that connects tools, agents, and infrastructure. It enables automated AI workflows to run, be monitored, and be managed across teams – with clear visibility into results, costs, and performance.
JetBrains Central provides three core capabilities:
Governance and control:
Policy enforcement, identity and access management, observability, auditability, and cost attribution for agent-driven work. Some of these functionalities are already available via the
JetBrains Central Console
.
Agent execution infrastructure:
Cloud agent runtimes and computation provisioning that allow agents to run reliably across development environments.
Agent optimization and context:
Shared semantic context across repositories and projects, enabling agents to access relevant knowledge, and task routing to the most appropriate models or tools.
Inside the Professional Services department, we are building a team of Forward Deployed Engineers to help our customers adopt AI-native development with JetBrains Central and enable JetBrains consulting partners to transform their customers’ AI-native software development lifecycle.
About the role
As a Principal Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work directly with early adopter customers to deploy JetBrains Central platform into complex enterprise environments and help them move from experimental AI usage to governed, scalable AI-native development.
You will act as a trusted advisor to customer engineering teams and consulting partners, while also mentoring other Forward Deployed Engineers and helping with complex deployments. In this role, you will help establish best practices for enterprise AI adoption and influence how organizations implement AI-driven software development.
This role is often a strong fit for engineers who have previously served as Principal or Staff Engineers, Heads of Engineering, CTOs, or Solutions Architects and who enjoy working directly with customers while staying deeply involved with complex technical systems.
This role combines consulting, architecture, and hands-on engineering. Your work in the field will directly influence how our platform evolves and how enterprises adopt AI-driven development.
You will work directly with the world’s most innovative companies — our client base includes 420 of the Fortune 500 — ensuring they maximize the value of their JetBrains investments.
What you’ll do
Deploy JetBrains Central platform into enterprise development environments, CI/CD systems, and internal developer platforms.
Help organizations transition from ad-hoc AI experimentation to governed AI-native development workflows.
Implement enterprise AI governance, including security policies, access management, and data privacy controls.
Enable observability for AI-driven development to help organizations understand their AI usage and its impact on productivity, as well as their code-generation patterns.
Design sustainable AI adoption strategies, including usage controls and cost visibility across multiple model providers.
Integrate our cloud-based agent execution layer, allowing AI agents to run securely and at scale.
Collaborate closely with JetBrains product teams to shape the platform based on real-world deployments and customer feedback.
Create delivery frameworks and train JetBrains partners to deliver the desired scope of service.
Mentor and support other Forward Deployed Engineers, sharing architectural expertise and helping to scale the team’s deployment practices.
You will thrive in this role if you are
A consultant at heart who can communicate effectively with both engineers and technical leadership.
Able to see the whole picture of the software development lifecycle across developer tools, infrastructure, APIs, and cloud systems.
Experienced at integrating complex software systems into enterprise environments.
Curious about the future of AI agents and AI-native software development.
Comfortable working with early adopters and overcoming ambiguous technical challenges.
Motivated to mentor other engineers and contribute to building a new technical discipline.
What you will bring
Experience in software-related projects, ideally in a customer-facing or consulting environment.
Familiarity with Java or Python.
Experience building or integrating developer platforms, infrastructure systems, or software solutions.
Familiarity with modern development workflows (CI/CD, developer environments, internal developer platforms, etc.).
Experience working directly with customers or technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate in fast-evolving technical environments.
Ability and desire to travel to meet customers.
These would be a plus, but are not blockers
Experience with industry-specific solutions (fintech, telco, retail, etc.)
Experience with AI/LLM platforms, agent frameworks, or AI-assisted development tools.
Experience in solutions engineering, consulting, or forward-deployed engineering roles.
Familiarity with the JetBrains ecosystem or developer productivity tooling.

At JetBrains, code is our passion. Ever since we started, back in 2000, we have strived to make the strongest, most effective developer tools on earth. By automating routine checks and corrections, our tools speed up production, freeing developers to grow, discover, and create.
We are looking for a product designer to work on
Air
, the company's new agentic development environment. Air is a new kind of developer tool: a workspace where multiple AI agents run tasks in parallel while the developer stays in control. The product includes a native desktop app and a web-based experience, with cloud execution and collaborative workflows in the works. AI is fundamentally changing how software is built, and our goal is to design an environment that makes this shift feel natural, for both solo developers and entire engineering teams.
We’re looking for someone who can lead design initiatives, own key product areas, and bring clarity and usability to complex technical workflows. Design plays a critical role in these products by helping developers stay in flow, reduce their cognitive load, and work more confidently across tools.
In this role, you will:
Design and deliver high-quality user interfaces by creating wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
Lead large-scale initiatives from vision and strategy to execution.
Collaborate with product managers, developers, and researchers to define problems, align on goals, and ensure design solutions meet user and business needs.
Communicate design concepts and decisions to the team to promote alignment and comprehension.
Collaborate with the UX Research and Analytics team to validate ideas and create design solutions grounded in real user needs and behavioral data.
Work closely with the development team to implement and review your UI/UX solutions.
Improve design processes together with the UX team, helping with the development of our design system to maintain visual and functional consistency across the product while enabling flexibility and scale.
We will be happy to have you on our team if you have:
At least 5 years of experience in UI/UX design.
Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where the product, technology, and priorities evolve quickly.
Experience designing complex functional interfaces.
A willingness to dive into complex topics related to programming.
The ability to prototype, verify, present, and provide reasoning for your UI/UX solutions.
Diligence and attention to detail.
Spoken and written English at a level sufficient for everyday communication and writing documentation.
Proactivity, independence, and strong time-management skills.
The ability to work in a team and seek feedback to improve your solutions and processes.
We would be especially thrilled if you have experience:
Designing for developer-focused products or technical environments.
Designing complex functional interfaces.
Programming and working with AI.

Built natively for stablecoins and trusted by more than 100 organizations worldwide, Rain delivers secure, scalable infrastructure that makes money move freely and instantly around the world.
You will have the opportunity to deliver massive impact at a hypergrowth company backed by some of the top investors in fintech, crypto, and SaaS. In January 2026, we closed a $250M Series C led by ICONIQ, valuing Rain at $1.95B, with Sapphire Ventures, Dragonfly, Bessemer Venture Partners, Galaxy Ventures, FirstMark, Lightspeed, Norwest, and Endeavor Catalyst also participating. If you're curious, bold, and excited to help shape a borderless financial future, we'd love to talk.
OUR ETHOS
We believe in an open and flat structure. You will be able to grow into the role that most aligns with your goals. Our team members at all levels have the freedom to explore ideas and impact the roadmap and vision of our company.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Customer Engineering Lead, you’ll manage the customer-facing arm of our engineering org. Working with our existing solutions team, you’ll coordinate process and policies with the post-sales org, spanning implementations, partner success, and account management. We’re looking for a player-coach: you’ll need to get your hands dirty on the frontlines to understand where the gaps and inefficiencies are. Armed with that experience, you’ll grow this function to meet the needs of our global, always-on customer base.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Hands-on from day one: answer technical support tickets, debug partner integrations, and work directly with partners to resolve issues
- Own the technical escalation path from support through engineering, serving as the primary customer advocate within engineering discussions
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to increase operational efficiency - whether that's streamlining ticket triage, accelerating troubleshooting, or enabling the team to handle higher volume without sacrificing quality
- Define and maintain customer engineering artifacts such as documentation, guides, runbooks, and recipes
- Help establish the operating model and collaboration framework between product and post-sales to ensure tickets are resolved within SLAs and gaps are covered
- Partner with platform and product to translate patterns from support tickets, implementation friction, and feature requests into actionable product insights
WHO YOU ARE
- 5+ years of experience in solutions engineering, forward-deployed engineering, or a related technical partner-facing role, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity
- Excited by a player-coach role - you're comfortable being in the queue, solving problems directly, while simultaneously building the team and processes around you
- An engineer by trade: you’re comfortable reading and contributing to an enterprise codebase while meeting a high bar of technical excellence
- Excellent communicator who can translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences - and vice versa
- Experience defining and implementing SLAs and escalation processes, especially cross-functionally to and from engineering teams
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where you'll need to balance building for scale with solving immediate partner needs
- You lead with empathy and understand that great customer engineering is a competitive advantage
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience at a card issuing platform or payments infrastructure company
- Familiarity with card network operations, BIN management, and transaction processing
- Experience building customer engineering teams and functions

ABOUT US
Sierra is the leading platform for customer-facing AI agents, working with many of the world's biggest brands — including The GAP, Rocket Mortgage, SoFi, Sutter Health, and SoftBank — to transform how they serve customers and grow their businesses. We are primarily an in-person company based in San Francisco, with growing offices across North America, Europe, and Asia.
We are guided by a set of values that are at the core of our actions and define our culture: Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Intensity, and a commitment to balancing Family along the way. These values are the foundation of our work, and we are committed to upholding them in everything we do.
Our co-founders are Bret Taylor https://www.linkedin.com/in/brettaylor/ and Clay Bavor https://www.linkedin.com/in/claybavor/. Bret currently serves as Board Chair of OpenAI. Previously, he was co-CEO of Salesforce (which had acquired the company he founded, Quip) and CTO of Facebook. Bret was also one of Google's earliest product managers and co-creator of Google Maps. Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As an Agent Strategist https://sierra.ai/blog/agent-strategist-your-phd-in-applied-ai, you own how Sierra's AI agents come to life for our customers — from first pilot to a production agent handling thousands of conversations a day. You sit at the intersection of product, building agents and customer-facing work, and stay just as close to the technology as you are to the people you build for. You transform a customer's thorniest, highest-stakes problems into agents that measurably move their business.
- Own the Agent Development Life Cycle https://sierra.ai/blog/agent-development-life-cycle. Take agents from initial scope through conversation design, tooling, and evaluation, to launch and continuous iteration in production — translating business goals into an agent that outperforms, and tuning relentlessly until it's the best version of itself in the real world. You'll have real ownership and autonomy over the outcome.
- Be the trusted strategic advisor to enterprise leaders. Sit shoulder-to-shoulder with our customers' executives, understand what success actually means to their business, and shape the AI strategy that gets them there.
- Partner with the customer's working teams day to day. Run working sessions, troubleshoot the agent as issues come up, and make the calls that keep the build on track for launch.
- Directly impact product. Surface unmet needs from your customer work, and feed them back to research and platform to shape where Sierra goes next.
EXAMPLE PROJECTS
These are the kinds of projects that strategists on our team have worked on recently:
- Scope and launch a subscription-retention agent for a large telecommunications or media company that consistently outperforms human agents at saving at-risk customers.
- Stand up an agent for a commerce customer that troubleshoots a broken device end-to-end and personalizes product recommendations in the same conversation.
- Redesign the conversation flows for a financial services agent so it can handle complex, regulated interactions — and convert a pilot into a multi-team production deployment. See our financial services blog https://sierra.ai/blog/five-ways-to-use-ai-agents-financial-services for examples.
- Partner with product on a net-new capability — a new agent architecture or self-service tooling — using a live customer as the design partner.
- Define the evaluation and quality bar for a new agent, then use those metrics to drive a measurable lift in outcome https://sierra.ai/blog/outcome-based-pricing-for-ai-agents week over week.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Customer obsession. Genuine energy being in front of customers — understanding their business and needs, thriving in complex organizations, and building trusted relationships.
- Communication. Clear, direct, and persuasive across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strategic problem-solving in ambiguity. Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to break down complex problems, spot risks early, and adapt as things change fast.
- Technical aptitude. Comfortable engaging directly with technical concepts - reading API documentation, understanding data models and system architecture, and following engineering tradeoffs in a design discussion.
- Ownership and delivery. A track record of running multiple complex, high-visibility projects at once and driving them to outcomes.
EVEN BETTER...
- Experience building or deploying AI/LLM agents in production — hands-on with the tools behind them (eval frameworks, agent tooling, RAG, prompt engineering) — working closely with technical counterparts.
- You've been a founder, founding team member, or operator — you know how to balance craft, ownership, and speed.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience — and/or an MBA or comparable experience at the intersection of technology and business.
OUR VALUES
- Trust: We build trust with our customers with our accountability, empathy, quality, and responsiveness. We build trust in AI by making it more accessible, safe, and useful. We build trust with each other by showing up for each other professionally and personally, creating an environment that enables all of us to do our best work.
- Customer Obsession: We deeply understand our customers’ business goals and relentlessly focus on driving outcomes, not just technical milestones. Everyone at the company knows and spends time with our customers. When our customer is having an issue, we drop everything and fix it.
- Craftsmanship: We get the details right, from the words on the page to the system architecture. We have good taste. When we notice something isn’t right, we take the time to fix it. We are proud of the products we produce. We continuously self-reflect to continuously self-improve.
- Intensity: We know we don’t have the luxury of patience. We play to win. We care about our product being the best, and when it isn’t, we fix it. When we fail, we talk about it openly and without blame so we succeed the next time.
- Family: We know that balance and intensity are compatible, and we model it in our actions and processes. We are the best technology company for parents. We support and respect each other and celebrate each other’s personal and professional achievements.

- Medical, dental, and vision benefits for you and your family
- Life insurance and disability benefits
- Retirement plan dependent on country of employment
- Parental leave

Eligible full-time employees can participate in Sierra's equity plans subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
BE YOU, WITH US
We're working to bring the transformative power of AI to every organization in the world. To do so, it is important to us that the diversity of our employees represents the diversity of our customers. We believe that our work and culture are better when we encourage, support, and respect different skills and experiences represented within our team. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't precisely match the job description. We strive to evaluate all applicants consistently without regard to race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, pregnancy, gender expression or identity, sexual orientation, citizenship, or any other legally protected class.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Join our Enterprise Platform team and build the infrastructure foundations that enable the world's largest organizations to run Replit within their security and compliance boundaries. As a Software Engineer on this team, you'll design and implement the deployment flexibility, networking capabilities, authorization systems, and data controls that enterprises require, from single-tenant architectures and private connectivity to custom policy enforcement and customer-managed encryption.
You'll work at the intersection of cloud infrastructure and enterprise requirements, partnering with Platform Engineering, Security, and Sales to ship capabilities that unlock adoption at demanding organizations.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build enterprise deployment infrastructure: Design and implement single-tenant and dedicated deployment options, enabling customers to run Replit with the isolation guarantees their security posture requires.
- Implement private networking capabilities: Build VPC peering, private connectivity, and static IP configurations that allow enterprises to integrate Replit into their existing network architectures.
- Design authorization services: Build the authorization infrastructure that enforces custom enterprise policies; enabling fine-grained access controls, custom permission models, and policy enforcement that integrates with customers' existing identity and governance systems.
- Ship data protection features: Implement bring-your-own-key (BYOK) encryption, customer-managed keys, and data residency controls that give enterprises ownership over their most sensitive data.
- Develop infrastructure automation: Write Terraform modules and automation that enable reliable, repeatable enterprise deployments across regions and configurations.
- Debug and harden systems: Dive deep into complex infrastructure problems spanning networking, authorization, Kubernetes, and cloud services to make our enterprise platform more robust and diagnosable.
- Partner with go-to-market teams: Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success to understand enterprise infrastructure requirements, scope technical solutions, and unblock deployments.
- Contribute to technical strategy: Help define SLAs/SLOs for enterprise infrastructure reliability; participate in build-vs-buy decisions for complex infrastructure capabilities.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 7+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Engineering, or similar roles.
- Strong programming skills in Go, Typescript or Python; you write high-quality, well-tested code.
- Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies in production environments.
- Solid understanding of cloud networking: VPCs, peering, private connectivity, load balancers, DNS.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform) and configuration management.
- Familiarity with authentication and authorization systems: OAuth/OIDC, RBAC/ABAC models, policy enforcement.
- Familiarity with security and encryption fundamentals: TLS, encryption at rest, key management concepts.
- Strong debugging skills with an ability to trace issues across distributed systems.
- Excellent written communication; you can explain technical tradeoffs clearly to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, networking, and IAM.
- Experience building multi-tenant or single-tenant SaaS infrastructure.
- Familiarity with enterprise compliance frameworks (SOC 2, FedRAMP, HIPAA) and how they translate to infrastructure requirements.
- Experience with customer-managed encryption keys (CMEK/BYOK) implementations.
- Background in developer platforms, cloud IDEs, or developer productivity products.
