Prevention as the new norm. That's what we're building with our team of 1000+ people. If it speaks to you: we're hiring across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada. And beyond.
At Alan, we want people to find the right product to take care of themselves, as early and as easily as possible. Getting a new pair of glasses usually means an appointment, a lost prescription, 47 frames tried on in a store, and a two-week delay. Most people put it off for months.
The Shop is how Alan members get glasses, lenses and well-being products in a few clicks, covered by their insurance when possible. Most e-commerce teams are incentivized to sell more. We're incentivized to get members the right product at the right time for their health.
We're looking for a fullstack engineer to join the Shop crew. One brief: help our members choose what is right for them, when it is right for them, in a few clicks. Everything else, we figure out together.
ABOUT THE SHOP CREW
The Shop crew is a fully autonomous product team that owns the whole lifecycle of the Shop: not just the code, but the whole business. Product managers, product marketers, ops specialists, designers, data scientists and engineers work side by side on one mission.
What we've built so far:
- An end-to-end optics experience: frames and lenses, virtual try-on, prescription scanning, and checkout priced against each member's coverage.
- One commerce platform behind the whole Shop and its three verticals.
- A growing well-being catalog: about 14 brands and 170 products today, thousands soon.
The Shop is growing fast: more products, smoother flows, and an experience that's more and more integrated into the rest of Alan for our members. The crew needs to grow too, and that means plenty of new opportunities for engineers.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Shop is one of the most varied crews in Alan Engineering. In the same week, you might:
- 🔌 Build integrations with our customized e-commerce back office, our in-house virtual try-on, suppliers and partner opticians.
- 🛍️ Ship member-facing flows: dynamic catalogs, purchase flows tailored to each member's coverage, prescription scanning, returns, and out-of-pocket purchases like lens upgrades and extra pairs.
- 🌿 Scale the catalog beyond optics, with discovery and personalized navigation that still work at thousands of products.
- ⚖️ Navigate legal ground: e-commerce rules, invoicing, France's 100% Santé reform, and supplier compliance. Selling medical devices is not like selling socks.
- 📣 Help products reach members in the Alan app, in campaigns, and through Mo, our AI health assistant. A shop that can't promote its products is just a warehouse.
- 📦 Work with ops on orders, deliveries and customer service, so a two-day delay never surprises a member.
You won't just write code. You'll question supplier contracts, debate marketing copy, and debug prescription-scanning logic. Some days it feels less like building software and more like running a small business. That's the point. And the impact is direct: when someone orders their glasses faster, they literally see better, sooner.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 8+ years building scalable software, with full-stack experience across backend and frontend.
- A strong product mindset. You want to understand the why before the how, and you enjoy working with members, ops, legal and marketing.
- Ownership from start to finish: you frame the problem, ship the solution, and watch the numbers afterwards.
- Comfort with ambiguity and complex problems. You help shape the scope instead of waiting for a spec.
- Clear communication with non-engineers, in English (French is a plus, since our first market is France).
- Humility, curiosity, and a real interest in making healthcare more accessible.
BONUS POINTS
- Experience with e-commerce: catalogs, checkout, payments, order management, or a headless commerce platform like Saleor.
- Curiosity about where e-commerce meets healthcare.
- Experience with mobile (React Native) or with LLM-powered product features.
HOW WE WORK
- Our stack: React and React Native on the frontend, Python/Flask and PostgreSQL on the backend, all in one monorepo. Saleor powers our commerce back office.
- We deploy daily, and the engineers who make product decisions are the ones who build them.
- We use AI coding agents every day to move faster and focus on the hard problems.
- You own decisions, outcomes and a whole domain, and your incentive is to build what's best for members.
⭐ THE ENGINEERING TEAM ⭐
In our engineering team, we build the infrastructure, interfaces, and applications to provide first-class service to our members, health professionals, and even ourselves!
Being an engineer at Alan means joining a team of talented, committed and passionate engineers, with a lot of product interaction.
We move fast, with a lot of ownership, and are proud to tackle big problems!
Our process is very simple: those who make product decisions are the same ones who build them.
Our stack is React, Python/Flask, PostgreSQL in a monorepo. If you are not familiar with this stack but are a keen learner, it is totally fine. We deploy daily and believe in distributed ownership - you build it, you own it.

🌍 HOW WE WORK
Location: You must be legally eligible to work in France, Belgium, or Spain.
Remote work: We offer remote work flexibility, but we value in-person collaboration. We are looking for people who want to help people live in good health to 100 while helping employers turn health benefits from a cost center into their most valuable investment..

Wealthsimple is Canada’s leading financial innovator. Wealthsimple currently serves more than 4 million Canadians and holds over $155 billion in assets under administration. The company was founded in 2014 by a team of financial experts and technology entrepreneurs, and is headquartered in Toronto, Canada.
We're proud of what we've built — and we're just getting started. Read our Culture Manual https://www.wealthsimple.com/en-ca/culture and learn more about how we work https://www.wealthsimple.com/en-ca/careers.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a Senior Technical Recruiter role built for someone who can move fluidly across our R&D disciplines (Engineering, Data Science, Security, and Platform Engineering), whatever's most critical that week. You won't be boxed into one team or one specialty. One day you're closing a Staff Software Developer, the next you're deep in a Security loop, the next you're building pipeline for a Data Science search that hasn't opened yet. If you thrive on variety and can context-switch without losing quality, this is your seat.
You build pipelines before roles even open, partner with hiring managers as a trusted advisor, and run hiring processes that are fast, sharp, and never compromise on talent. You set the tone. You keep momentum. You get it done.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
- Full-cycle recruiting across all of R&D - any team, any level, any complexity.
- Proactive pipeline building in niche, hard-to-fill technical spaces before a req exists, not after.
- Hiring strategy that actually moves the needle by partnering closely with Hiring Managers, HRBPs, and Finance on headcount, prioritization, and market reality.
- AI-forward sourcing and workflow using modern tooling to move faster, without losing the human touch candidates remember.
- Data-driven funnel management - tracking KPIs, catching risk early, and using signal (not gut feel) to sharpen strategy.
- Interview loops, debriefs, and closes run with clarity and care because every step counts.
- Coaching and raising the bar for junior recruiters and the broader team's hiring craft.
- Process and tooling improvements that scale, you don't just work in the system, you come up with ideas that make it better.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 5+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, with a track record of closing complex, senior, or niche searches independently.
- Hands-on Ashby experience is required, you’re comfortable using the platform and it's not just "an ATS”.
- Genuine versatility - proven ability to pivot across multiple technical domains (not just one specialty) without dropping quality or pace.
- Fluency with modern sourcing platforms and AI tooling, and a test-and-learn mindset to keep improving how you use them.
- The judgment to navigate ambiguity, calibrate hiring bars, and the confidence to push back when something doesn't add up.
- A talent for relationship-building; candidates and hiring managers trust you because you earn it, not because of a title.
WHO YOU ARE
- Hungry, proactive, and resourceful, you embody our values, not just recite them.
- Naturally curious about markets, talent pools, and what's changing in tech hiring.
- Adaptable, able to pivot quickly, change is fuel for you, not friction.
- Organized enough to run multiple complex searches at once without anything falling through the cracks.

When high-stakes incidents strike, you are the calm in the storm. Senior Specialist, Incident Response, you will play the main part in incidents during major, complex, or reputation sensitive events. You take command of ambiguous situations, translate technical chaos into clear client and executive communication with the support of a high-performing team of Incident Response Specialists to raise the overall bar for crisis execution across the business.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Deliver proactive, cadence-based briefs to senior leaders while authoring clear, transparent external communications (status pages, app/web banners, client emails) in the Wealthsimple voice.
- Bridge the gap between engineering and the business and translating system logs, error codes, and technical root causes into plain-language client and business impact.
- Identify when Legal or Compliance review is required during a crisis and seamlessly weave regulatory checks into the response flow.
- Serve as a chief editor for team communications, establishing playbooks and writing standards that ensure accuracy, speed, and empathy under real-time pressure.
- Build a culture of psychological safety, calm, and focus: shielding responders from external noise during active incidents while keeping stakeholders aligned.
- Rapidly identify who needs to be involved across Engineering, Product, CX, Legal, and Risk, anticipating downstream friction before it happens.
- Navigate high-severity situations with confidence, managing executive expectations without distracting active responders.
- Partner with Data Science to quantify incident impact and lead post-incident reviews to drive root-cause remediation and long-term CX improvements.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 5+ years in major incident response, crisis communications, or technical service operations within fintech, high-growth SaaS, or fast-paced digital product environments. You have a proven track record leading live-fire, SEV-1/P0 operational crises from inception to resolution.
- Rapid, decisive judgment under pressure: You have a strong bias for action and excel at making quick, high-stakes decisions with incomplete information, knowing intuitively when to push forward, when to escalate, and when to hold.
- Exceptional crisis communications & translation skills: You can digest raw system telemetry, logs, and engineer chatter, translating technical chaos into clear, empathetic client messaging and concise executive updates in real time.
- Tech-native and async-first operational fluency: You are deeply accustomed to modern tech workflows (Slack, Notion, linear incident bots) and thrive in fast, distributed environments where clear, documented async alignment is essential.
- Cross-functional network thinker: You intuitively map organizational ripple effects, rapidly engaging the right stakeholders across Engineering, Product, CX, Legal, Compliance, and Leadership before downstream friction occurs.
- Comfort with ambiguity and chaos: You stay composed when there is no playbook, bringing immediate structure, clarity, and psychological safety to high-stakes, reputationally sensitive events.
NICE TO HAVE
- Educational background or formal training in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Legal Studies, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical crisis communications experience).
- Incident tooling fluency: Comfortable navigating incident management platforms (PagerDuty, Rootly), monitoring tools (Datadog), and data tools (Preset, SQL) to understand system behavior and measure client impact.
- Risk intuition: Strong intuition for compliance, legal, and reputational risk within a regulated financial institution.
- Bilingualism: Fluency in both English and French.

It’s the healthcare system itself that needs to work for everyone, in a sustainable way.

⚡ THE DESIGN AND RESEARCH COMMUNITY AT ALAN
Alan’s Design & Research (D&R) community is the group of designers and researchers behind everything our members see and use. Our goal is simple: build the most member-centric health experience there is, with high standards of craft and a real understanding of the people we design for.
We are growing fast, and AI is changing what is possible in the way we work. We are looking for someone who loves tooling, ops and AI to help us move faster without lowering the bar on quality.
This is a builder role where design, operations and AI meet. You will scope where AI and automation can help us build faster, scale better and catch quality issues earlier, then turn the best ideas into tools the community actually uses. Along the way, you will help us improve our rituals and best practices, and share what we learn inside and outside Alan. You are not a designer or a researcher yourself: you are the enabler that allows the community to go faster and perform better as our member base grows.
🤝 YOUR MISSIONS
You will help D&R work smarter and keep quality high as we grow, in close collaboration with the community, its lead, and the engineering, Product Ops and platform teams we work with. You will help shape our community strategy on AI and tooling, then build and run what comes out of it.
- Explore: Test new AI tools and automations, find the ones that really save time or improve quality, and share the best with the community. Work with our internal AI tooling teams to bring what’s cutting edge to design and research.
- Build: Create skills, agents and automated checks that make design and research work more efficient, reliable and of higher quality.
- Run the tooling: Maintain and upgrade the tools the community relies on, and be our point of contact with Alan’s platform and agentic teams.
- Improve how we work: Bring in better practices and rituals, push our existing rituals to the next level and help us show what we learn and achieve, inside and outside Alan.
- Own your roadmap: Identify opportunities, prioritize solutions, set clear goals, track adoption and quality, and adjust as you go.
🚀 YOU ARE A GOOD FIT IF...
You are an ops-minded builder with around 4 years of experience in ops or enablement roles: design ops, tooling, automation, analytics, program management or something close. Design and research interests you, but what drives you is helping teams work better with tools, automation and better rituals.
What you bring
- Hands-on experience automating work. You have replaced repetitive tasks with automations, internal tools or AI workflows (no-code, low-code or AI tools), at work or on your own projects, and you can tell us what you built and who used it.
- Familiarity with AI tools. You have built or tested skills, agents or automations, and you care that they are reliable, not just impressive in a demo.
- Comfort working with engineers. You can build things yourself, you know when to ask for production-grade work, and you speak their language.
- Experience supporting a team or community, for example through onboarding, rituals, events or internal communications.
- Strong English communication, to collaborate with our international team. French is a plus.
Nice to have
- Experience in or alongside a design or research team.
- Familiarity with Figma and design systems.
Qualities we look for
- Builder and strategic mindset: you make progress with incomplete information, choose the simplest approach that works, and ship.
- Rigour: you set a baseline and a target, and improve with each iteration.
- Systems thinking: you see how people, processes, tools and data fit together.
- Judgment: you frame ambiguous problems, prioritise, and know what to drop.
- Clear communication: you keep people updated and explain your choices.
🌍 WHERE YOU CAN BE BASED
Location: Based in (or within commuting distance of) one of our hubs (Paris, Bordeaux, Marseille, Brussels, Madrid or Barcelona), with the ability to work onsite twice per week. We prefer you have the right to work here.
🎯 IMPORTANT NOTE: WE HIRE PEOPLE, NOT ROLES
If you’re excited about this opportunity but don’t check every box, we’d love to hear from you. Everyone, no matter how underrepresented, should feel free to apply, as it can only bring learnings or success.

Imagine giving every person in the world instant, 24/7 access to personalised medical expertise - through chat, voice, or video. That’s what we are building 🤖.
We kicked off the project in 2023, and we have launched Mo to all our french members (1M) in Q1 2026, making it the first safe AI health companion live at scale in Europe.
🚀 WHY WE NEED YOU
Mo’s scope is expanding fast: inside Alan (a new Clinic, new capabilities), across the countries we operate in, and at the interfaces with many other Alan experiences. To get this expansion right, and to keep ownership distributed within the team, we’re looking for a Product Builder to take on a real share of that complexity and ambiguity.
You’ll own end-to-end one slice of Mo’s product scope. Depending on your profile, it could be:
- 🩺 Mo for reactive care. Build all the integrations between Mo, our Clinic and the healthcare system, and shape how our medical team interacts with members in and through Mo.
- 🛡️ Mo for insurance. Make Mo the main interface between members and Alan, building on our Support AI agents, across channels and countries.
- 🌍 Mo global. Adapt Mo to new countries and find the right operating model for each (medical reviews, safety, local features).
- ➕ Mo as a platform. Make Mo the companion other teams build upon, so our domain experts can ship their own experiences through it.
🎯 IS IT YOU WE’RE LOOKING FOR?
We’re looking for Product Builders with around 5+ years of experience who want to build state-of-the-art AI products and apply them to real-world, high-stakes problems in healthcare.
- You’ll own a product area end-to-end: problem framing, vision, prioritisation, shipping, and measuring whether we actually help members get and stay better.
- You’ll work daily with engineers, ML engineers, data, and doctors, at the frontier of LLMs and agentic systems, and see your work in production with real people.
- You’ll navigate ambiguity and many stakeholders across Alan, and turn it into clear decisions and a focused roadmap.
- You’ll be hands-on: prototyping, digging into data, reading conversations and evals, getting into the technical details with the team.
- You’ll contribute to our product culture and help build the team (hiring, interview loops, etc.).
You would be a good fit in Mo if most of this sounds like you:
- Experience building and shipping a live AI/LLM product
- Very hands-on, comfortable with technical and data topics (SQL, prototyping, understanding how an LLM system behaves and fails)
- Interest or experience in one or several medical or prevention themes
- Product-minded and outcome-driven: you care about impact, not output
- Self-directed, pragmatic, driven, hard working
- Humble and still willing to grow (no matter your seniority!)
- Collaborative, enthusiastic about teamwork, learning, and teaching
- Fluent in English
- Ex-engineers and ex-founders are typically a great fit in our team
But above all, we are looking for high potential and curiosity: make sure to show us this when you apply! Everything else is a bonus
🤘 HOW WE DO IT ?
We benefit from Alan’s platform, infrastructure, distribution, and health expertise — but operate with the speed and focus of a startup. If you’re curious about Alan’s broader vision, our https://www.notion.so/alaninsuranceShareholder Letters https://alan.com/en/blog/discover-alan/a/alan-2025-q3-letter-to-shareholders are worth a read.

HEALTH CAN’T WAIT.
Not for symptoms to get worse. Not for a six‑month appointment. Not for a system to catch up. But that’s exactly how healthcare works today. You wait, until you can’t.
Alan exists to end the wait.
Health is a universal right, and we believe this right can only become real when it’s coupled with prevention. We need to stop treating health as something we repair and start treating it as something we build, every day. It’s not solely a question of willpower. It’s the healthcare system itself that needs to work for everyone, in a sustainable way.
So we are building the new standard in prevention insurance. Alan is the first company that integrates insurance, prevention, and care into a single, acclaimed user experience.

- Sales & Account Manager Planning
- Translate the plan into actionable sales & Account Management objectives, ensuring their quality, scalability and accuracy
- Build & improve the infrastructure to track these targets (dashboard, models) hand in hand with the data team
- Performance monitoring & Steering
- Lead or support strategic explorations (e.g. new segment, new distribution models) to frame strategic decisions
- Monitor closely results and execution to gather learnings and adjust where necessary, sharing key learnings with the community and the company on a monthly basis
- Work on transversal topics that allow us to gain insights & better steer the team performance (competition analysis, implementation & monitoring of pricing strategies, ...)

PRODUCT BUILDER — SALES AI
⭐️ THE PRODUCT BUILDER ROLE ⭐️
Product Builders at Alan go deep on user needs, define a clear product strategy, and turn it into a high-impact roadmap.
- You will work closely with designers, engineers and sales teams to define the right product and build it.
- You will partner and align with every part of the business: sales, sales effectiveness, and our AI platform teams.
Sales AI: an exceptional opportunity to have an impact and grow
- Our sales teams sell health insurance, a field that demands real expertise. Our internal tools have become powerful but fragmented, and AI is fundamentally reshaping how humans and tools interact. Alan’s growth ambitions are high: reaching them requires a step change in sales effectiveness — in time spent and in win rate.
- So we are rethinking the entire sales experience from the ground up. Instead of tools Account Executives have to remember to open and prompt, we want an AI that works for the rep, including when they are not there: it processes information, analyzes a large pipeline of parallel deals, and comes back with “here is the priority today, do this and this.” A true assistant that helps reps prioritize, prepares work for them, and lets them build faster, more relevant offers, with the right sales material and arguments. With everything we know about past offers and the market, we can massively empower reps to walk in with a sharper offer and a sharper pitch.
- The scope spans the full funnel: top funnel (automating prospection so reps get more, better-qualified discovery) and bottom funnel (winning offers, stronger pitches, higher win rate). Alan has strong maturity here: voice AI is live in France and Spain, outbound campaigns run autonomously, the CRM fills itself from call transcripts, and our offer copilot is used by more than half our reps — around 20% productivity gained this year. The limit today is structural: every capability lives in a separate tool, behind a manual trigger.
- This is a validated, high-ambition bet to reinvent the sales experience, lift sales efficiency and win rate, and give every one of our clients a large-account-grade experience. And it does not stop at internal tooling: the same engine, pointed outward, can reach and answer customers directly in our self-serve funnel, and the approach can then be extended to other parts of Alan.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
- Reinvent the sales workflow. Move our Account Executives and Key Account Managers from siloed AI tools they have to remember to use, to AI that proactively pushes the right action at the right moment in their workflow.
- Build and sequence the roadmap. The scope is broad, so you will decide where to start, prioritize the highest-impact automation over “nice to have” AI features, and sequence the path to the full vision.
- Get hands-on. We build many of our tools in an “everyone can build” mode. You will work close to the engine room, writing prompts, wiring connectors and evaluating outputs, to understand what is really happening and unblock progress.
- Empower better, faster selling. Bring together what we know about offers, content and market signals so reps produce sharper offers faster — and automate the prospection work that fills their pipeline in the first place.
- Keep the experience coherent. Partner closely with adjacent teams building AI agents in neighboring areas, so the overall experience stays consistent rather than siloed.
- Drive the outcomes. Minimize time spent on low-value work while lifting offer relevance, win rate and the volume of qualified conversations each rep can run — so their time goes only to what needs a human.
⭐️ ABOUT YOU ⭐️
You may be a great fit at Alan if you have:
- At least 5 years in a product role (or equivalent product ownership) in a fast-paced, high-autonomy environment, ideally with AI or agentic products. Seniority matters here: the scope is exploratory and not fully defined yet.
- Genuine excitement for AI. You have built AI products, or you are deeply eager to learn how LLM-based systems and agents behave in production, including their failure modes, and you can reason about the shift from pull-based to proactive, push-based experiences.
- A builder mindset. You are hands-on and comfortable close to the product’s engine room (connectors, prompts, skills, evaluation) to understand what is really happening and unblock progress.
- Appetite for the sales and insurance business. You are happy to sit with a rep, review an offer, and learn how guarantees and consumption terms are expressed, then turn that into product vision. You do not need to be a sales or insurance expert already, but you want to go deep fast.
- Strong product execution. You set measurable goals, prioritize effectively, and ship iteratively, balancing quality, speed and impact.
- The ability to bridge technical and non-technical worlds. You translate between platform and engineering constraints and sales reality, and drive alignment through clear framing and sharp decision-making.
- Experience influencing without full authority. You can build the case for a new, ambitious bet and rally people around it.
- Strong written communication in both internal and external-facing settings.
- Fluency in French and English.
For this role, we hire within the D-F level Range. https://alan.com/en/careers/a/salary-equity

Wealthsimple currently serves more than 4 million Canadians and holds over $155 billion in assets under administration. We're proud of what we've built — and we're just getting started. Read our Culture Manual https://www.wealthsimple.com/en-ca/culture and learn more about how we work https://www.wealthsimple.com/en-ca/careers.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role owns the partnerships that bring new clients to Wealthsimple. Every motion you own ladders up to one goal, customer acquisition, across both digital and real-world channels: partner-driven acquisition campaigns, referral partnerships that feed our business banking line, and brand and experiential sponsorships that let us acquire customers in person. The job is to turn partners and campaigns into net-new clients and deposits, and to convert our brand presence into people walking in the door, wherever they already are. You'll source, negotiate, and activate these partnerships end to end, and you'll build a lot of it from scratch. This is a builder's seat for a growth-minded commercial operator who thinks about acquisition wherever it happens, online or IRL.
IN THIS ROLE YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
- Drive acquisition campaigns with partners, including monthly millionaire: secure partner funding and co-marketing, and source smaller campaign partners to power specific moments.
- Own referral partnerships for the business banking line end to end: source, sign, and drive the channel partners that send us new business clients and deposits.
- Lead commercial negotiations from first outreach to signed terms, landing terms that work for both our clients and the business.
- Own the acquisition targets: net-new funded clients and deposits from referral partners, campaign performance, and sponsorship reach and ROI.
- Partner cross-functionally with Growth, Brand, PMM, and Business Banking Product to activate every partnership well and measure its impact.
SKILLS YOU'LL BRING:
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in partnerships, business development, or growth roles in banking or customer-focused industries.
- Negotiation and commercial ownership. A master negotiator with a track record of driving commercial and acquisition outcomes and turning partnerships into measurable growth.
- A growth and acquisition orientation. You've turned partnerships or campaigns into measurable client acquisition, online and in person, and you think in funnels, not just relationships.
- Channel or referral partnership experience. You've built or run a referral or channel pipeline that produced real, attributable results.
- Strong analytical and commercial skills, with real comfort in CAC, LTV, and attribution.
- A strong network in Canada (and ideally the US) across relevant commercial, tech, and community ecosystems.
- A 0-to-1 operator with high urgency, strong ownership, and a bias for action.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Brand experiential marketing experience, especially activations built to drive real-world customer acquisition, including agency and rights-holder relationships.
- Business banking or SMB acquisition experience.
- Product partnerships experience as it pertains to integrated referrals.
- A results-oriented mindset with a focus on impact and outcomes.

We are on an incredible journey to build a global leading company, with a unique culture https://alan.com/en/careers. We already partner with 40K+ companies of all sizes, serving more than 1M+ members, and have reached €800M+ in ARR.
Prevention as the new norm. That's what we're building with our team of 1000+ people. If it speaks to you: we're hiring across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada. And beyond.
