We’re training and deploying frontier models for enterprises who are building AI systems. We believe that our work is instrumental to the widespread adoption of AI and we are looking for folks that want to be part of that.
We obsess over what we build. Each one of us is responsible for contributing to increasing the capabilities of our models and the value they drive for our customers. Cohere is a team of researchers, engineers, designers, and more, who are all passionate about their craft.
We are a global technology company headquartered in Toronto with key offices in London, New York City, San Francisco, Montreal, Paris, Berlin and Seoul. Join us!
Why This Role?
We're seeking an experienced Program Manager to join Cohere's customer-facing Program Management team, with a focus on Canadian public sector and defence accounts. This is a highly specialized role requiring an individual who understands technical program delivery, the technical complexity of frontier AI models and the unique requirements of government and defence organizations.
You will be the critical bridge between our cutting-edge AI capabilities and the specific needs of Canadian federal departments, provincial agencies, Crown corporations, and defence organizations. You'll navigate complex procurement processes, stringent security requirements, data sovereignty concerns, and regulatory compliance while ensuring our customers successfully deploy and scale our AI solutions.
In this role, you'll collaborate with our Strategic Customer team, Applied ML (AML) Engineering, Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE), Platform, Product, and Go-to-Market teams, serving as the technical program lead and trusted advisor for our most sensitive and high-impact government engagements.
Location: Ottawa required
Security Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance strongly preferred; candidates eligible and willing to obtain clearance will also be considered.
What You'll Do
Customer Program Leadership:
- Own end-to-end technical program delivery for Canadian public sector and defence customers, from initial deployment through production scaling
- Serve as the primary technical program point of contact for government customers, building trusted relationships with departmental CIOs, IT directors, and technical teams
- Translate complex government requirements (security, compliance, accessibility, bilingualism, data sovereignty) into actionable engineering plans
- Navigate government procurement processes, RFP responses, and contractual technical obligations.
Strategic Communication:
- Provide clear, timely, and objective communication across Cohere's engineering organization, customer stakeholders, and government leadership
- Translate between AI/ML technical concepts and government-appropriate language for decision-makers who may not have deep technical backgrounds
- Present technical roadmaps and status updates to senior government officials and departmental executives
- Represent Cohere's technical capabilities in sensitive government and defence contexts.
Complex Program Management:
- Create and manage project schedules that account for government timelines, security review processes, and ministerial approval cycles
- Identify and manage dependencies across government departments, security authorities, cloud service providers, and internal Cohere teams
- Navigate risks unique to government deployments: privacy compliance, Algorithmic Impact Assessments, Treasury Board submissions, security authorizations
- Drive alignment between product development priorities and specific government requirements.
Technical Delivery & Execution:
- Ensure on-time delivery of AI solutions that meet government-grade security, privacy, accessibility, and performance standards
- Coordinate technical work across multiple teams: model customization, security hardening, integration with government systems, bilingual support
- Establish governance checkpoints appropriate for high-stakes government deployments
- Problem-solve complex technical challenges in air-gapped, on-premises, or highly regulated environments.
You May Be a Good Fit If:
Required Experience:
- 6+ years of experience as a customer-facing Technical or Engineering Program Manager in AI/ML consulting, technology transformation, or enterprise software delivery.
- Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management.
- Experience working with government, defence, or heavily regulated customers (public sector, defence contractors).
- Proven track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder technical programs with stringent compliance requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree or technical certs a plus.
Technical Background:
- Strong understanding of enterprise software deployment architectures (cloud, on-premises, hybrid, air-gapped)
- Working knowledge of or experience with modern AI: LLMs, agentic systems, MCP, RAG, fine-tuning, evals, and responsible AI would be a strong differentiator
- Comfortable discussing API integrations, model inference, data pipelines, and ML operations with technical stakeholders.
Government & Defence Acumen:
- Deep understanding of how government organizations procure, evaluate, and deploy technology
- Familiarity with Canadian government requirements: data sovereignty, privacy laws (Privacy Act), accessibility standards, official languages obligations, security classifications
- Understanding of defence and national security considerations in AI deployment
- Experience with Algorithmic Impact Assessments or AI ethics frameworks is a strong asset
- Eligible to obtain Canadian government security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
Nice to Have:
- Active Canadian government security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) - strong preference for active Top Secret clearance
- Bilingual (English/French) proficiency
- Background in or strong familiarity with Canadian defence, intelligence, or critical infrastructure sectors
- Experience with GC Cloud services (Azure, AWS GovCloud) or Protected B/C environments
- Project management certification (PMP, PgMP) or government-specific methodologies.
Security Clearance Requirements
This role requires eligibility for Canadian government security clearance.
Strong preference will be given to candidates who currently hold an active Top Secret (TS) clearance, as this will enable immediate engagement with our most sensitive defence and national security customers.
However, we will also consider exceptional candidates who:
- Currently hold Secret clearance and are eligible for TS upgrade
- Do not currently hold clearance, but are eligible and willing to undergo the Top Secret clearance process
- Have a previous government security clearance that has lapsed
Please note that obtaining Top Secret clearance can take 12-18 months. Candidates without active clearance will work on non-classified public sector accounts while the clearance process is underway.
What Makes This Role Unique
This isn't typical program management—it's a highly specialized role at the intersection of frontier AI, national security, and public sector digital transformation. You'll work on some of Canada's most sensitive and impactful AI deployments, helping government organizations harness cutting-edge technology while maintaining the highest standards of security, ethics, and accountability.
If you're passionate about responsible AI adoption, understand the unique constraints and opportunities within government, and want to have an outsized impact on how Canada leverages AI to serve its citizens, this role is for you.

Customer.io

About the role
Hi, my name is Diep N, VP, Finance at
Customer.io
, and I'm looking for a Global Controller to take the close, the books, and our control environment and make them theirs.
We're a global, remote-first, private company built on subscription and usage-based revenue, and as we grow we need a controller who can lead the team already in place and sharpen the fundamentals. You'll lead a team of ~7, growing, across revenue accounting, close, AP/AR, payroll, and treasury, and partner closely with me and, given our CFO's broad remit, with stakeholders across Sales, Legal, IT, HR, and Engineering.
What you'll do
Lead monthly and quarterly close, GL, AP/AR, payroll, and account reconciliations, delivering accurate, timely US GAAP financials. Close currently runs ~10 business days; get us to 6-8 days within your first 12 months, with fewer post-close adjustments and aged reconciliations.
Own revenue accounting and serve as our technical accounting authority on subscription and usage-based revenue recognition (ASC 606), including the ARR-to-GAAP bridge: reconciling ARR, billings, deferred revenue, contract assets, and usage true-ups to reported revenue, and explaining the delta to leadership and the board in plain terms.
Author technical accounting position memos on contract modifications, SSP allocation, variable consideration, and capitalized contract costs, the work that makes "technical accounting authority" real.
Own equity compensation accounting (ASC 718): grant accuracy, 409A timing, expense, modifications, and cap-table integrity, in partnership with stock plan administration.
Manage and grow a team of ~7, with room to scale, building trust quickly and developing the leads beneath you.
Build a control framework suited to a global, remote-first, private company with subscription and usage-based revenue, keeping the books audit-ready.
Own our accounting systems roadmap and drive automation across close and reporting.
Own select treasury operations, including cash management and banking relationships, and partner on FX exposure monitoring given our multi-currency footprint.
Run our external audit relationship and coordinate with external tax partners on compliance, provisions, and filings.
Manage the realities of a distributed, remote-first global team: statutory accounting coordination, payroll and contractor controls, entity reporting, and working with Legal, HR, and Tax on international compliance.
What we're looking for
10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leading a team through managers or leads.
A Big 4 (or equivalent top-tier public accounting) foundation.
Deep US GAAP mastery, particular strength in subscription and usage-based revenue recognition (ASC 606).
A concrete, personally-owned automation or AI deployment in accounting with a measurable result, eliminating a manual reconciliation, reducing close time, or lowering error rate, that you can speak to in detail.
Experience scaling an accounting function that was already running, not building one from zero.
A proven track record with external audits and keeping books audit-ready.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with credibility partnering with senior, cross-functional stakeholders.
Nice to have: internal controls or SOX-readiness experience; remote-first/globally distributed company experience; M&A or deal accounting exposure; CPA license, active or inactive.
Compensation & Benefits
We believe in transparency. Starting salary for this role ranges from $250k to $280k USD (or equivalent in local currency), structured by geographic zone and depending on experience. In addition to base salary, this role includes an equity grant in the form of stock options, so you share in the success you help build.
Our inclusive benefits package supports your well-being and growth, including 100% coverage of medical, dental, vision, mental health, and supplemental insurance premiums for you and your family. We also offer 16 weeks paid parental leave, unlimited PTO, stipends for remote work and wellness, a professional development budget, and more.

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting to lead our corporate accounting function and help shape the next generation of our Finance organization. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for the day-to-day General Ledger (GL) accounting function while also serving as a key transformation leader across Accounting and Finance.
The ideal candidate combines strong accounting expertise with a builder's mindset. You will ensure an accurate, timely, and well-controlled close while rethinking how accounting work gets done—simplifying processes, improving systems and data, expanding automation, and driving practical adoption of AI across the accounting organization.
This role requires a leader who can operate at both strategic and detailed levels, from defining the future-state accounting operating model to solving complex accounting, process, and systems challenges.
What You'll Do
Lead Corporate Accounting
Own corporate accounting operations, including the General Ledger, month-end and quarter-end close, reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, intercompany, and related activities.
Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, ensuring financial results are accurate, well-supported, controlled, and delivered on time.
Maintain a strong internal control environment and build processes that scale with the growth and complexity of the business.
Partner closely with Technical Accounting, Revenue, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, Legal, IT, and other teams on accounting and business matters.
Support external audits and financial reporting requirements.
Drive Transformation & AI Adoption
Serve as a transformation leader for Accounting, developing and executing a roadmap for a more automated, scalable, and data-driven organization.
Identify opportunities to eliminate manual work, accelerate the close, improve data quality, strengthen controls, and standardize processes.
Lead cross-functional initiatives involving accounting systems, financial data, integrations, workflow automation, and process redesign.
Champion the responsible adoption of AI across Accounting, identifying and implementing high-value use cases that improve productivity, quality, and employee experience.
Build AI capabilities across the team through training, experimentation, and best-practice sharing while establishing appropriate governance and human oversight.
Establish metrics to measure improvements in close performance, automation, productivity, and quality.
Build and Lead a High-Performing Team
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing accounting team capable of operating effectively in a fast-growing SaaS/Data environment.
Develop future leaders by increasing ownership and building stronger accounting, technology, and business capabilities across the team.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement where the team challenges existing processes and embraces technology, automation, and new ways of working.
Balance operational excellence with transformation, ensuring the organization executes reliably while continuously improving how work gets done.
What We're Looking For
10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership of corporate or GL accounting functions within a public company or similarly complex environment.
4+ years of people leadership experience; experience managing managers preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial close processes, internal controls, and accounting operations.
Experience within a SaaS, software, technology, or data business strongly preferred.
Demonstrated success leading meaningful Accounting or Finance transformation initiatives.
Strong systems orientation with experience improving ERP, close management, reconciliation, workflow, or other Finance technology platforms.
Strong understanding of AI and automation and an ability to translate emerging capabilities into practical accounting applications.
Excellent project management, change leadership, and executive communication skills.
Ability to move seamlessly between strategy and execution and influence stakeholders across Finance and the broader organization.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role goes beyond delivering an accurate close. You will help build an accounting organization that is increasingly automated, intelligent, scalable, and forward-looking.
You will create a more efficient and predictable close, reduce reliance on manual processes, embed AI and automation into how the team operates, and build a strong leadership bench. Ultimately, this role will help define what a modern Accounting organization should look like in an AI-enabled SaaS/Data company.

A NOTE ON AI
You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.

ABOUT RAMP
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $275B in annualized spend flows in and out of 85,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 7.5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Customer Success Managers at Ramp drive value for customers and revenue for the business by ensuring fast, effective onboarding and activation of newly closed customers. As a Senior Scaled CSM, you’ll play a critical role in delivering high-quality outcomes at scale while helping shape the processes, playbooks, and customer strategy that fuel Ramp’s growth.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, operates with high ownership, and consistently drives customer outcomes.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own the end-to-end onboarding and activation of a large portfolio of micro-SMB and micro-MM customers, driving customers to full Ramp adoption within 60 days through efficient, scalable motions.
- Lead onboarding with strong executive presence, setting clear agendas, controlling call flow, and driving as much progress as possible in minimal touchpoints.
- Ensure fast, thorough, and complete implementation by educating customers on Ramp functionality, best practices, and the “why” behind key workflows.
- Confidently navigate and position Ramp’s full product suite, including Cards, Bill Pay, Travel, Treasury, and Accounting integrations, tailoring recommendations to customer workflows and business goals.
- Deeply understand customer workflows, pain points, and blockers, and problem-solve alongside Product, Engineering, and Support when needed.
- Drive revenue by minimizing implementation delays and reinforcing the value of Ramp as a core financial operating system.
- Use customer data, usage signals, and patterns to prioritize outreach, identify risk, and intervene proactively.
- Balance implementation work, follow-ups, proactive outreach, and group onboarding while maintaining a high bar for quality.
- Partner closely with Product to surface customer feedback, identify trends, and influence roadmap priorities.
- Identify opportunities to automate, standardize, and improve onboarding processes, contributing to playbooks, enablement materials, and scalable best practices.
- Act as a multiplier for the team by sharing insights, patterns, and coaching peers through examples and collaboration.
- Help maintain an industry-leading customer experience while operating at high volume and pace.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- 5+ years of experience in Customer Success, Account Management, Sales, or a related customer-facing role in B2B SaaS.
- Proven success managing a high-volume book of business while consistently driving customer outcomes.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to lead confident, structured customer conversations and handle objections effectively.
- Experience balancing scale and personalization through group onboarding, automation, and targeted 1:1 engagement.
