📆 APPLICATION DEADLINE: MONDAY SEPT 28TH, 11:59PM EST
ABOUT THE TEAM
The Options Clearing team sits within Brokerage Operations, the group responsible for how Wealthsimple executes on behalf of clients across billions of dollars a day. We own the full options life cycle — reconciliations, settlements, exercises, assignments and expirations — and make sure every position we hold matches what it should. It's precise, deadline-driven work, and we take it seriously because clients are trusting us with their money.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Options Clearing, you'll own the daily execution of reconciliations, settlements, and expirations across our options book. This work protects client assets directly, so accuracy isn't optional — you're the person who catches a break in the data before it becomes a client-facing problem, and who improves the processes that keep pace as the business grows.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own daily reconciliation, settlement, and expiration processing across the options book, catching and resolving breaks before they reach clients
- Act as the team's subject matter expert on OCC and CDCC clearing (including SOLA), covering exercises, assignments, and institutional options transfers
- Partner with the Trade Desk, engineering, and other operations teams to resolve trade and position discrepancies and reduce risk
- Use data — pivot tables, lookups, and SQL — to find the cause of inefficiencies and fix them
- Build and improve the tools and workflows that let the team scale as options volume grows
- Develop processes to increase the efficiency of our back-office operations.
SKILLS YOU BRING:
- 2+ years handling back-office reconciliations, settlements, or options clearing (OCC/CDCC) at a broker-dealer or registered investment dealer
- Comfortable with large data sets — you can take a few thousand rows of position data, find the breaks, and explain what caused them
- Working knowledge of SQL, or ready to learn it fast — you'll be querying data daily
- Available to support early and late hours on a rotating basis around market events and settlement cycles
- A clear communicator who can work easily with trading, product, and operations teams
NICE TO HAVE
- Progress toward or completion of CSC, DFOL, or similar industry courses
- Familiarity with CDS or DTCC settlement
- Familiarity with Claude AI or Claude Code
WHO YOU ARE
- Naturally curious — when something looks off, you want to know why
- Someone who builds trust with the people around you by being reliable and clear
- Are organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to work accurately against tight, non-negotiable deadlines.
- Willing to escalate early when something needs it, rather than sitting on it
- Genuinely interested in how markets and technology intersect

Senior Accountant
to own the annual audit, support AP and AR activity, and drive the month-end close alongside the Accounting Manager. This role is the technical backbone of the accounting team. We encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every requirement below!
What You'll Do
Serve as the day-to-day lead on external audit requests — managing the PBC list, timeline, and fieldwork logistics, preparing schedules, workpapers, and tie-outs, and responding to auditor inquiries.
Own product-level cash reconciliations across network payables, customer receivables, interchange, chargebacks, and fees — ensuring every dollar movement across the card lifecycle ties out between internal ledgers, processor/network reporting, and bank statements.
Investigate reconciliation discrepancies using transaction-level data, document root causes, and partner with Data and Engineering to resolve underlying issues.
Review AP and AR activity — payments, employee reimbursements, card issuance, invoicing, deferred revenue schedules, and credit application.
Prepare and review month-end journal entries — accruals, allocations, reclasses — with adequate support and approval.
Back up the Accounting Manager on monthly close to ensure timely, accurate reporting, including variance analysis and cost-saving opportunities.
Research and document technical accounting positions, and help maintain and enforce company policies and procedures.
Evaluate workflows and procedures, recommending and implementing changes that increase accuracy and efficiency.
Provide guidance and technical review to junior team members, plus support for ad hoc analyses and projects.
What You Bring
BA/BS in Accounting with 4+ years in Big 4 and/or on a startup accounting team.
FinTech experience preferred — familiarity with payments concepts (settlement, interchange, funds flow), or the ability to learn complex transactional data models quickly.
Ability to write basic SQL to retrieve, filter, join, and summarize transactional data, with an investigative mindset to identify and explain discrepancies.
Demonstrated use of AI tools (e.g., Claude) and advanced Excel to work through large, complex data sets — reconciliations, variance analysis, memo drafting, and process documentation.
Experience working directly with auditors on an independent financial statement audit, with working knowledge of GAAP.
Advanced ERP experience (preferably NetSuite) and hands-on AP/AR work, including subledger-to-GL reconciliation.
Customer service-level communication skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
Desire to succeed, adapt, and grow in a fast-paced organization, with an approachable demeanor that inspires trust.
Experience with Salesforce, Ramp, Google Suite, and/or Looker is a plus.
The annual US salary range for this role is $89,000 - $120,000 plus equity. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Lithic and will be narrowed during the interview process based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

Company Description
We’re http://checkout.comCheckout.com http://Checkout.com. You might not know our name, but companies like eBay, Spotify, Klarna, Uber, and Sony do, because we’re behind many of the digital experiences you use every day.
We are where the world checks out, enabling over 10 billion transactions yearly for more than one billion global shoppers.
Whether you want to book a holiday, order food, renew a subscription, or check out online, there’s a good chance our tech powers the payments behind the scenes. Our platform helps the most ambitious businesses deliver effortless digital experiences, at scale.
If you want to do career-defining work, you’ve come to the right place. We move fast, think globally, and believe great teams are built by hiring exceptional people with conviction, curiosity, and the desire to make an impact.
With 20 offices across six continents and London as our HQ, we’re shaping the future of fintech – and we’re just getting started.
Role overview | Context
Checkout.com http://Checkout.com built its name serving the world's largest enterprises. We're now growing into many more types of customer: businesses of every size, including self-serve, startups integrating straight from our docs, and platforms (software companies, payfacs and marketplaces) that onboard thousands of sellers through our APIs. As our product range grows, that takes us from thousands of customers to millions.
At that scale, the decision about who we work with, and on what terms, can't be a manual review at the end of a sales process. It has to be a product. It decides how quickly a good business goes live, how much it costs us to serve them, and how confident our regulators and scheme partners are in us. We're looking for a senior Engineering leader to own that decision.
This team decides which businesses we can work with and on what terms. It covers business verification, screening, underwriting, ongoing monitoring and financial crime. It's a shared platform that serves every one of our businesses. Its users are our customers (directly, or through the platforms they sign up with) and, internally, our Risk, Compliance and Financial Crime teams and the analysts who run reviews and investigations.
Much of what we have today was built segment by segment and market by market, for a smaller number of large customers. The next chapter is one opinionated, configurable decisioning platform. Enterprise, platform and SMB customers should all run on the same foundations, with the right depth of checks and the right terms for each. That way a new product, segment or market doesn't mean rebuilding our controls, and this team isn't on the critical path for every launch.
ROLE OVERVIEW | RISK, VERIFICATION & COMPLIANCE
The remit covers:
- Risk decisioning: underwriting, risk tiering, exposure limits, reserves and settlement terms, and when to restrict or offboard, re-assessed across the customer lifecycle.
- Business verification: company, ownership, document, bank account and website checks, run once for every segment.
- Financial crime: sanctions and PEP screening, AML and transaction monitoring, and the controls, audit trails and reporting behind our regulatory obligations.
- Decisioning platform: the shared infrastructure that runs these checks automatically for every market and customer type.
You'll partner closely with the teams that own onboarding and identity verification.
ROLE OVERVIEW | REMIT AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You'll be comfortable building and scaling critical platforms in a regulated environment, where correctness, auditability and availability matter as much as speed. You'll balance two goals that are often in tension: making it fast and easy for good businesses to work with us, and keeping bad actors out and the business compliant.
This is a change role. You'll assess what we have, set a clear direction, and move us from segment-specific, analyst-led processes to an automated decisioning platform, without pausing the business while you do it. You'll do this in close partnership with Product, Risk, Compliance, Financial Crime and Legal, and with the leaders of the businesses that depend on the platform.
You'll directly lead an established team of engineers and managers of varying seniorities. Amongst other duties, you'll have impact across:
- Setting the technical vision and strategy for Risk, Verification & Compliance. That includes deciding what we build once and share, and what each segment, product or market configures.
- Building a decisioning platform that automates the decisions that don't need a human, safely, and sends the rest to the right analyst with the context they need. Our automation rate sets our cost to onboard and to serve.
- Making risk dynamic across the customer lifecycle. New businesses start on terms that match the signals we see: limits, reserves and settlement speed. Those terms relax automatically as the business trades well, and we act quickly when the signals change. This starts with simple rules and evolves into machine learning.
- Making decisions explainable, so that customers, partners and our own analysts understand why a decision was made and what happens next.
- Giving Risk and Compliance the dials. Acceptance criteria, early-life controls and policy should be configuration that can be changed, tested and measured by cohort, not a code change.
- Keeping our financial crime controls ahead of growth. Screening and monitoring have to scale from large enterprises to a very large base of smaller businesses, through new channels, payment methods and products.
- Leading the design and delivery of verification, screening, underwriting and monitoring systems that are accurate, auditable and highly available.
- Representing Engineering in regulatory, audit, scheme and partner conversations where needed.
- Managing and developing a high-performing team of individual contributor (IC) Engineers and Engineering Managers, providing guidance, support and career development.
- Striving for best practice on hiring, coaching and enablement, and being a magnet for top talent.
ROLE OVERVIEW | DESIRED BACKGROUND, CORE COMPETENCIES
The ideal candidate for the role will bring:
- Experience leading multi-level engineering organisations (EMs and ICs) through growth and change, with a track record of developing leaders, not just hiring them.
- A record of transforming critical platforms while the business kept running: multi-year re-architecture, migrations, or consolidating several systems into one.
- Experience building and operating mission-critical decisioning or rules platforms at scale. Ideally these served several customer segments, products or markets from a shared foundation.
- Experience in a regulated environment (financial services, payments or similar), where compliance, auditability and risk are part of the engineering problem.
- Deep technical understanding of cloud-native, distributed and data-heavy systems, including how to run ML models safely in production.
- Exceptional collaboration skills, with a proven ability to partner with senior cross-functional stakeholders, particularly in Risk, Compliance, Financial Crime and Legal, and to make clear trade-offs in a complex stakeholder landscape.
- Ideally, domain knowledge in KYB, AML and financial crime, underwriting, fraud or merchant risk. Experience with self-serve or high-volume onboarding, or with platforms and their sub-merchants, is a strong plus.
- Humility, low ego and an ideal ambassador for our mission, values and operating principles.
If you feel that you don't meet all the requirements but think you might still be right for the role, please consider continuing in the process. We're always keen to build relationships with leaders who resonate with our mission and values.

Quantitative Analyst Intern - Digital Assets Market Making (HFT) - Brussels
Since 2017, Keyrock has been a change-maker in digital assets. We're a global, remote-first team of 200+ people across 40+ nationalities, with hubs in Brussels, London and Paris and New York.
We provide liquidity across 80+ centralized and decentralized exchanges - a position cemented by our Series C, led by SC Ventures. Today we run a full spectrum of capital markets businesses across centralized and on-chain venues: market making, high-frequency trading, options, OTC, DeFi trading desks, advisory, and asset management.
We're building toward the agentic investment banking capabilities for the era of digital finance. A proprietary agentic layer runs the mechanics of the market, so our people can focus on the work code cannot do: the deal, the relationship, and the judgement.
We're not just envisioning the future of finance - we're building it.
ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Our internship programme gives early-career talent the opportunity to build practical skills, contribute to meaningful projects and learn alongside experienced colleagues in digital finance.
Typically lasting six months and based in our Brussels office (London possible), each internship includes hands-on experience, clear learning goals and dedicated guidance and regular feedback. We look for curiosity, relevant foundational skills, deep, active interest and passion for digital assets and the potential to grow exponentially with us - you don’t need to arrive with all the answers. Where performance, business needs and available opportunities align, an internship may lead to a permanent role, though this is not guaranteed.
We are looking for 3-4 high-caliber Quantitative Analyst Interns to sit within our Strategic Market Making (CeFi and DeFi), Credit and Corporate Development desks/teams (see other openings on our career page for details).
Application deadline: 30 November 2026
Start date: 1 March 2027
Selection process:
- Interview with Talent Acquisition representative
- Interview with Hiring Manager
- Recruitment Challenge
The role
About Strategic Market Making Desk
Our Strategic Proprietary Market Making team researches and deploys systematic trading strategies across centralized digital asset venues. We study how order-book dynamics, fragmented liquidity, exchange design and participant behaviour shape pricing, execution and risk.
As a Quantitative Analyst Intern within the HFT track, you will work alongside quantitative researchers, traders and engineers to analyse market and trading data, test hypotheses through backtesting and simulation, and build tools that improve strategy performance and risk visibility. You will investigate how fair value, liquidity, latency, queue position, fees and adverse selection affect real-world execution across venues.
This is a technical and applied internship. We are looking for someone who combines strong quantitative reasoning and coding skills with a detailed understanding of electronic markets. You should be curious about how exchanges work beneath the interface and able to connect market microstructure to trading outcomes.
Key Responsibilities - Quantitative Analyst (HFT)
- Analyse multi-venue top-of-book and depth data, trades, orders, fills and cancels to study liquidity, price discovery and execution quality.
- Build and validate latency-aware, event-driven backtests with explicit assumptions around maker/taker execution, queue position, fill probability, fees and cancellations.
- Measure spread capture, forward markouts, fees and adverse selection, and investigate how execution quality changes across venues, instruments and market regimes.
- Build reusable Python tools and data pipelines using modern columnar analysis and SQL for strategy research, performance attribution and monitoring.
- Study cross-venue price discovery, lead–lag relationships, fair-value construction and spot–perpetual basis while accounting for data staleness, instrument design and settlement-currency differences.
- Support live strategies through PnL, inventory and exposure analysis, post-trade review and investigation of unexpected performance.
- Evaluate liquidity-program economics by balancing execution quality, market share, fees and incentives, and work with traders and engineers to translate research into robust production improvements.
- Present findings clearly, including assumptions, limitations, risks and recommended next steps.
WHO YOU ARE/KEY REQUIREMENTS - QUANTITATIVE ANALYST (HFT)
- Quantitative and coding foundations: You are pursuing or recently completed a degree in mathematics, computer science, engineering, physics, quantitative finance or a related field. You are proficient in Python for data analysis, ideally including Polars or similar columnar tools, and comfortable with SQL, Git and command-line workflows. Experience with ClickHouse or another analytical database is valuable.
- Electronic market structure: You understand limit order books, order types, maker/taker mechanics, matching and priority rules, spreads, market depth and how trades move prices.
- Execution awareness: You can reason about the order lifecycle from signal to acknowledgement and fill, including exchange APIs, latency, queue position, partial fills, cancellations, fees, slippage and adverse selection.
- Digital asset markets: You understand key differences between spot and perpetual futures, including basis, funding, leverage, liquidation risk, settlement currencies and residual exposure.
- Quantitative reasoning: You are comfortable with probability, statistics, time-series analysis and evaluating noisy results without overstating significance.
- Hands-on curiosity: Ideally, you have built or analysed something yourself—such as an order-book study, trading bot, exchange connector, backtest, execution simulator or market-data pipeline.
- Trading judgement: You naturally question whether an apparent edge survives latency, fees, market impact, changing liquidity and real execution constraints.
- Ownership and communication: You can structure an ambiguous problem, test assumptions and communicate findings and limitations clearly in English.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with exchange WebSocket/REST APIs and asynchronous market-data pipelines
- Exposure to Rust or another systems programming language
- Experience with tick/order-book data, event-driven simulation or execution modelling
- A technical project demonstrating sustained interest in systematic trading or market microstructure
Our offer
- A 6 month paid internship at world-renowned digital assets company with accommodation provided for entirety or part of it
- The opportunity to learn about digital assets and blockchain from a 30,000 ft view of the entire ecosystem
- Working from one of Brussels newest, nicest and most advanced office spaces
- A global, collaborative and tech-driven environment.
- Autonomy & Impact - our flat structure means you can contribute your ideas from day one and help shape the foundation that will power Keyrock’s future business.
- Culture of Excellence - we value nimbleness, drive for success, owner mentality and collaboration.
- Opportunity to leave your mark and start your career in one of the most reputable companies in the digital assets world
- We are envisioning for the internship to be based pre-dominantly in Brussels. It is possible for a selected candidate to be based in London, UK, provided at least 1-2 months onboarding period would be spent in Brussels together with the rest of the interns cohort.
Our recruitment philosophy
We value self-awareness and powerful communication skills in our recruitment process. We seek fiercely passionate people who understand themselves and their career goals. We're after those with the right skills and a conscious choice to join our field. The perfect fit? A crypto enthusiast who’s driven, collaborative, acts with ownership and delivers solid, scalable outcomes.
As an employer we are committed to building a positive and collaborative work environment. We welcome employees of all backgrounds, and hire, reward and promote entirely based on merit and performance.
Due to the nature of our business and external requirements, we perform background checks on all potential employees, passing which is a prerequisite to join Keyrock.

THE TEAM
Payward Services is an enterprise infrastructure platform that enables companies to seamlessly integrate trading, payments, funding, and digital asset services through a single unified system. We’re building a peer-to-peer marketplace for Asia-Pacific that lets users buy and sell digital assets directly with each other using familiar local payment methods. Payward will provide the marketplace infrastructure, merchant network, escrow, transaction management, and trust and safety capabilities.
We’re looking for an experienced product leader who has launched crypto P2P in APAC and can turn that expertise into a shared platform serving multiple Payward products.
THE OPPORTUNITY
- Strategy and market expansion: Set the P2P vision, business objectives and roadmap. Prioritize markets, customer segments and payment methods based on demand, competitive conditions, economics and regulatory requirements.
- Merchant network and liquidity: Develop the merchant acquisition, onboarding, incentives and retention strategy. Work with commercial and local teams to build dependable liquidity, competitive pricing and coverage across relevant payment methods.

- Platform adoption: Build reusable capabilities and integration requirements that allow multiple Payward products to offer P2P. Make the platform straightforward to integrate, operate and extend into new markets.
- Buyer, seller and merchant requirements: Define transaction workflows, exception handling and acceptance criteria. Bring customer research and marketplace expertise into interface decisions, and use transaction data to identify friction and improve completion.
- Trust and marketplace integrity: Partner with risk, compliance, legal and operations to build merchant verification, fraud prevention, dispute resolution and appeals into the product from the outset.
- Launch and operating performance: Lead cross-functional launch planning and establish the processes needed to run each market. Track liquidity, order completion, time to trade, repeat usage, dispute rates, fraud losses and platform reliability.
- Product leadership: Align senior stakeholders around priorities and tradeoffs, work closely with engineering on system capabilities, and develop product talent as the platform scales. Apply proven P2P playbooks and move quickly from decisions to live transactions.
WHAT YOU BRING
- A demonstrated record of launching and scaling a crypto P2P marketplace in APAC, ideally including a launch from zero.
- Senior product leadership experience with responsibility for strategy, roadmaps and measurable commercial outcomes.
- Deep understanding of merchant operations, two-sided liquidity, pricing, incentives and the economics of P2P trading.
- Practical knowledge of APAC payment methods, local banking and wallet ecosystems, and how customer behavior differs across markets.
- Experience building shared platform capabilities used by multiple products, channels or external partners.
- Strong judgment about fraud, payment verification, transaction disputes and the operational realities of running a financial marketplace.
- Technical fluency across APIs, transaction lifecycles, payment integrations and reliable financial systems.
- The ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead through partnerships with engineering, interface product teams, operations, risk and commercial teams.
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience expanding P2P across several APAC markets.
- Experience with stablecoins and local fiat on/off-ramps.
- Experience building and leading product teams.
- Fluency in one or more APAC languages.
