- Translate compliance requirements into production detection logic, preserving correctness across alert eligibility, thresholds, customer segmentation, date windows, and deduplication
- Develop and maintain Python and SQL pipelines for transaction data preparation, feature engineering, and detection workflows
- Evaluate detection rules and analytical models across coverage, alert quality, threshold sensitivity, and the impact of proposed changes
- Design reproducible evaluations on historical data that account for limited labels, class imbalance, and shifts in customer behaviour over time
- Own testing, deployment, scheduling, monitoring, and operational support for detection workflows, including investigating data quality issues, pipeline failures, and unexpected changes in detection results
- Execute historical backfills with clear validation and traceability, and maintain reliable downstream alert delivery and integrations with compliance systems
- Be at the forefront of data innovation by experimenting, testing hypotheses, and translating insights into action, while incorporating software engineering best practices into pipelines and dashboards.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 7+ years of experience in data analysis, data science, and data management within the fintech, crypto, financial services, or gambling industry, gained in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Experience working with compliance, fraud, funding, finance, and customer support teams and analyzing large datasets, engineering features, and applying statistical methods to practical business problems
- Strong Python and SQL skills, with experience building and supporting production data or analytical systems
- Hands-on experience using dbt or similar tooling to model and organize high-fidelity data for reporting and decision-making
- Experience setting up and managing data pipelines with a strong understanding of workflow orchestration, plus strong software engineering practices including version control, automated testing, code review, and CI/CD
- Solid statistical foundation; ML exposure is a strong plus
- Proficiency with BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Hex, Tableau, Power BI, or similar) to build executive-facing dashboards
- Ability to investigate production issues independently and communicate technical findings and uncertainty to non-technical stakeholders
- You believe wholeheartedly in the values outlined in Kraken's Tentaclements document
- A degree in a field emphasizing analytical rigor, such as analytics, software engineering, statistics, or economics
- Based in Canada, the US, or Brazil, and fluent in English
NICE TO HAVES
- Fraud detection, AML, anomaly detection, or other risk applications
- Experience with Athena, Trino, Kafka, and Kubernetes alongside the core Airflow/dbt/S3 stack
- Transaction pattern analysis, customer segmentation, and detection threshold tuning
- Developing or productionising machine learning models, including experiment tracking and performance monitoring
- Working with sparse or delayed feedback from investigations to evaluate and improve detection
- Explainability, auditability, and change control in regulated environments
Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

ABOUT RAMP
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $275B in annualized spend flows in and out of 85,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 7.5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will be a front-line manager to a group of 6-8 CSMs, who each manage ~60 Activations at a given time in Ramp’s Mid Market portfolio. You will be responsible for developing and standardizing implementation best practices, 1:1 coaching and mentoring, building a repeatable and scalable customer activation motion that enables growth without proportional increases in team size, and working closely with leaders across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Risk, and Product to drive positive outcomes for this segment. As a key member of the Mid Market CSM leadership team, you will have the opportunity to help build and refine Ramp’s customer success and onboarding motion.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Set and maintain a high-performing culture and morale by managing a group of exceptional CSMs to drive thorough and efficient onboarding and product activation for Ramp’s medium/large customers
- Oversee the daily activities and quota performance management of individual CSMs to ensure team exceeds product onboarding and spend activation goals, while maintaining strong CSAT
- Refine best practice playbooks for the CSM team, and improve team output and efficiency over time by optimizing systems and processes
- Develop and execute career development and leadership plans for direct reports; inclusive of but not limited to daily 1:1 mentoring, coaching on sales skills, enhancing product knowledge, providing call feedback, and running enablement sessions
- Act as a voice of the customer and key contributor retaining and expanding Ramp’s Mid Market segment
- Build and leverage internal AI tools and Salesforce dashboards to monitor the success of our customers and the performance of the team
- Report on team performance and forecast to senior leadership
- Represent the CSM team cross-functionally with leaders of other departments
WHAT YOU NEED
- 5+ years of implementation, CSM or AM experience as an individual contributor, with a proven, consistent track record exceeding goals
- 3+ years of experience building and leading implementation or CSM teams with a proven track record of exceeding goals
- Prior demonstrated success in fast-paced, results-oriented GTM environments, ideally at SaaS companies
- Ability to identify trends, translate company strategy into team-level priorities, and drive initiatives that improve team metrics and organizational outcomes
- Proven ability to coach teams on selling the full platform, not just individual products; experience driving multi-product adoption, cross-sell, and upsell across a book of business
- Track record of pushing pace on input metrics, building repeatable playbooks, and optimizing systems and processes to improve team output
- Strong collaboration and influencing skills across Sales, Product, Operations, and other GTM teams; demonstrated ability to represent Customer Success at a leadership level
- Comfort with and curiosity about AI tools and their application to CS workflows; ability to lead a team through AI-driven process transformation and evaluate how AI can augment CSM productivity and customer outcomes
- Strong understanding of customer financial workflows, including AP/AR, spend controls, and month-end close processes; ability to coach CSMs on ROI-grounded conversations with controllers and finance leaders
- Proficiency in data analytics tools (Salesforce, Looker, and Excel) with the ability to leverage data to drive decisions, create systems, and identify process improvements.
NICE TO HAVES
- CPA or equivalent accounting certification, or deep working knowledge of accounting software (e.g. NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero, Sage)
- Experience with financial services sales or selling into finance and accounting personas
- Experience at a high-growth startup in an enterprise or mid-market customer success environment
- Familiarity with contribution profit models or usage-based revenue metrics
- Experience leading teams through AI adoption or workflow automation initiatives

About the Role
Join Alvys, an early-stage company transforming the $800B US freight industry. As a DevSecOps Engineer, you'll help protect our platform and the customer data it holds. You'll close cloud security gaps, build security checks into how we ship software, run our penetration testing program, and stand up the infrastructure behind our internal security, IT, and AI tools. This role combines hands-on infrastructure work with coordination across DevOps, engineering teams, IT & Security, and outside security vendors.
Industry Insight
Freight companies run their business on Alvys: loads, drivers, carriers, payments, and financial records. As more of the industry moves to modern software, customers expect that data to be protected like any other business-critical system. Security is part of how we earn and keep their trust.
About Alvys
Alvys is building a multi-tenant SaaS platform that powers modern transportation operations. We combine deep industry knowledge with strong technical execution to bring clarity, automation, and reliability to one of the world's most essential industries. Security is a shared responsibility at Alvys, and this role helps every team meet that bar.
Our Principles
Engineering Principles
Build for Real-World Impact.
Our users rely on Alvys to solve real problems, not abstract ones. Every security fix should reduce real risk to our platform and the people moving freight every day, not just clear a scanner finding.
Extreme Ownership and Empowerment.
Ownership extends beyond building. It means being accountable for quality, reliability, and customer impact. If it's in production, it's yours: bugs, uptime, and results.
Technology Debt is Strategic, Not Accidental.
Technical debt is a strategic choice, not an oversight. We incur it deliberately when it unlocks speed, learning, or market advantage. Our architecture remains clean, maintainable, and scalable as we grow.
Simplicity Scales; Complexity Costs.
Logistics is inherently complex, but our technology shouldn't be. We prioritize simplicity in our architecture, leveraging modularity and well-defined service boundaries to reduce cognitive load.
Radical Transparency.
We democratize data and make it accessible across all functions to drive alignment and decision-making. Transparency also means feedback. We systematize constructive feedback loops to ensure growth.
Engineering Culture
Move Fast, Learn Fast.
Speed is our advantage, but we move fast intentionally. We bias for action, assume positive intent, and treat every mistake as a learning opportunity.
Own the Outcome.
Every engineer owns outcomes, not tickets. We take responsibility end-to-end, identifying problems, delivering solutions, and ensuring they last.
Partner, Don't Gatekeep.
Security works best when it's built with the teams who own the systems. We share context with DevOps and engineering teams, explain the risk behind each ask, and make the secure path the easy one.
Pragmatism Over Purism.
Perfect security doesn't exist, but reduced risk does. We choose fixes that scale, are maintainable, and address real threats, not theoretical ones.
People Over Heroics.
We don't reward burnout or always-on behavior. Sustainability is a feature, not a luxury. If someone needs to slow down, unplug, or take care of life outside work, that's expected.
Responsibilities
Cloud security architecture
Design and deliver infrastructure changes that strengthen our cloud security posture, including network isolation and identity-based access.
Make these changes through infrastructure as code, plan rollouts that avoid customer downtime, and work with service owners to update the applications that depend on them.

Vulnerability management and pipeline security
Help run our vulnerability management program, driving remediation within defined SLAs.
Extend our existing security scanning with AI-assisted security testing, such as automated security code review and AI-driven penetration testing.
Tune and improve the automation we already use to process security findings.
Penetration testing
Manage our third-party penetration tests from start to finish: scoping and targeting, test environments and accounts, vendor coordination, findings intake, and retesting.
Help mature our internal, AI-assisted penetration testing tool into a dependable part of the security program, including deployment and scheduled runs.
Infrastructure for security, IT, and AI tooling
Deploy and operate internal applications in Azure, with identity, secrets, networking, and backups set up correctly from day one.
Build telemetry pipelines (OpenTelemetry into Azure Monitor) for our AI and internal tools, with dashboards and alerts that surface anomalous activity.
Working with others
Partner with DevOps, engineering teams, and IT & Security to plan and prioritize work.
Write clear runbooks and documentation, and produce evidence for our SOC 2 program.

Production experience with infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform.
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

About 1Password
At 1Password, we’re building the foundation for a safe, productive digital future. Our mission is to unleash employee productivity without compromising security by ensuring every identity is authentic, every application sign-in is secure, and every device is trusted. We innovated the market-leading enterprise password manager and pioneered Unified Access Management, a new cybersecurity category built for the way people and AI agents work today. If you're excited about the opportunity to contribute to the digital safety of millions, to work alongside a team of curious, driven individuals, and to solve hard problems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, then we want to hear from you. Come join us and help shape a safer, simpler digital future.
Browser Extension Excellence owns the foundation that supports 1Password’s browser extension, our most-frequently used client surface. This includes architecture, health monitoring, build and test pipelines, developer tooling, cross-browser compatibility, and setting new standards within the WECG. We investigate production incidents, improve load and runtime performance, and guide the extension through changes such as Manifest V3 and browser version deprecations.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada/US. This position will be for 4 months - January to April 2027.
What You Can Expect:
- Write efficient, scalable, and robust customer-facing features in one or more of our web or Rust tech stacks.
- Collaborate with people across the company like Product, Design, Customer Support, Release Ops, and other Software Development teams.
- Focus on building and optimizing features in our extension as well as working with browser-specific APIs and behaviors (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge)
- Focusing on extension performance, stability, and correctness
What we're looking for:
- Confidence: A willingness to take on new challenges, and see them through to completion.
- Humility: You're not afraid to ask "stupid" questions and make mistakes (as long as you learn from them).
- Curiosity: You look for better ways of doing things, even if everyone seems happy with how they are.
- Teamwork: We work together, and succeed as a team!
Bonus points for:
- Experience or interest in working with browser extensions
- Someone interested in working in multiple tech stacks.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. We’re a distributed team so written communication in particular is very crucial.
- Someone who thinks about the impact of their work in terms of the end user.
Our culture
At 1Password, we prioritize collaboration, clear and transparent communication, receptiveness to feedback, and alignment with our core values: keep it simple, lead with honesty, and put people first.
You’ll be part of a team that challenges the status quo, and is excited to experiment and iterate in search of the best solution. That said, 1Password is not for everyone. Our work is demanding, we strive for excellence, and the pace is fast. We need people who are keen to take on challenging problems, who seek feedback to grow, and who are driven to make an impact. If you're looking for a place where you can settle into a comfortable routine, this might not be the right fit for you. We’re looking for individuals who are proven experts in their fields, as well as those who are highly adaptable, can thrive in ambiguity and through change, are curious, and above all deliver results.
We are committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology—including AI—to achieve our mission. We also understand that thinking critically about AI in its current forms will help us create better solutions for our customers and ourselves with its future forms, which will help us continue to close the gap between security and privacy and achieve our mission. We want team members at all levels to take the approach of actively learning AI best practices, identifying opportunities to apply AI in meaningful ways, and driving innovative solutions in their daily work. Embracing the future of AI isn't just encouraged at 1Password—it's an essential part of how we will be successful at 1Password.
Our approach to remote work
We believe in the power of remote work, but recognize that in-person connection is important to help us achieve our mission. While we are a remote-first company, travel for in-person engagement is a part of most roles. Frequency will depend on role and responsibilities, and may include, but is not limited to: annual department-wide offsites, team meetings, and customer/industry events.
How we’re using AI today
Our Engineering, Product, and Design teams are thoughtfully integrating AI across the full software and product development lifecycle to move faster without sacrificing quality or security. In practice, that looks like engineers using AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate reviews and catch bugs earlier, product managers synthesizing user research at scale, and designers rapidly prototyping and iterating with AI-generated mockups. We approach AI the same way we approach security: with clear principles, human accountability at every consequential decision point, and rigorous evaluation before anything ships to customers.
What we offer
We believe in working hard, and rewarding that hard work through our benefits. While not an exhaustive list, here is a glance at what we currently offer:
🏝 Generous PTO policy - 2.08 days per month (1.5 work weeks per 4 month term)

About Vercel:
Vercel is the agentic infrastructure company, freeing people and agents to ship what's next. For more than a decade we've helped builders move from idea to production with speed, security, and exceptional developer experience.
Now we're scaling our products for both agents and people to ship and run software, built in the open and trusted by OpenAI, PayPal, Ramp, Supreme, and millions of developers worldwide.
About the Role
We're looking for an Engineer to lead the design and development of Vercel's Financial Data Platform, the foundational system that powers revenue reporting, consumption-based billing, financial forecasting, and compliance across the business. This is a unique opportunity to architect the data infrastructure that Finance, Accounting, and Revenue Operations depend on to close the books accurately, forecast revenue with confidence, and scale with the business.
Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Data Engineering, you'll define the technical vision for Vercel's financial data ecosystem, partner closely with Finance, Accounting, and Revenue leadership to translate business and compliance requirements into scalable systems, and build reliable, auditable pipelines using modern technologies like Kafka, ClickHouse, Tinybird, and Snowflake.
You'll lead from the front, writing production-grade code, setting the bar for data accuracy and governance in a domain where correctness isn't optional, and mentoring a team of engineers as the function grows. If you're excited by the challenge of building financial-grade data systems that the business trusts for reporting, forecasting, and audit, we'd love to hear from you.
What You Will Do
Design and implement a data platform that supports revenue recognition, consumption-based billing, and financial reporting across batch and real-time workloads, leveraging Kafka and streaming technologies to power real-time usage and billing pipelines feeding revenue and consumption forecasts.
Work directly with FP&A, Accounting, and RevOps to understand reporting requirements, close-cycle timelines, and forecasting needs, translating them into technical architecture and ensuring data availability and accuracy align with financial reporting deadlines, audit cycles, and board-level reporting needs.
Define and maintain guidelines for financial data ingestion, transformation, and storage, with a focus on auditability, lineage, and data integrity, while overseeing data modeling, ETL, and warehousing (ClickHouse, Tinybird, Snowflake) to support low-latency analytics and reliable historical reporting.
Develop end-to-end solutions across the finance data stack, setting the example for engineering excellence in a high-accountability domain, and mentor engineers on both technical craft and the added rigor required when data feeds directly into financial statements.
Partner with Security, Compliance, Legal, and Internal Audit to ensure financial data pipelines meet SOX, SOC 2, and other regulatory requirements, and champion high availability, fault tolerance, and auditability through comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
Drive architectural decisions and roadmap planning that balance efficiency, scalability, and the strict correctness requirements of financial systems, and evaluate build-vs-buy tradeoffs across financial and billing tooling (e.g., ERP, billing, and revenue platforms).
Build the data infrastructure that translates raw usage into revenue, supporting the forecasting models Finance and GTM rely on for target-setting and reporting, and collaborate with data science and FP&A teams on forecasting, incrementality analysis, and revenue modeling at scale.
Act as a key decision-maker for evaluating and selecting data architectures and technologies critical to Vercel's financial operations, and establish a multi-phase roadmap for finance data platform maturity aligned with company growth and audit readiness.
About You
8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a closely related field, with a track record of owning production data pipelines end-to-end.
Proven track record designing and operating large-scale data infrastructures in a complex, fast-paced environment, with experience across Kafka and its ecosystem (e.g., Kafka Streams, Confluent Platform), ClickHouse, Tinybird, Snowflake, and broader big data frameworks.
Prior experience building data pipelines that feed financial reporting, revenue recognition, billing, or consumption-based pricing models, with familiarity with financial/ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Workday) or billing platforms considered a strong plus.
Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and associated big data services.
Strong background in data governance, security, and compliance, including direct experience supporting audit, SOX, or SOC 2 requirements, and a rigorous approach to data lineage and accuracy.
Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate financial and accounting requirements into technical architecture and influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including Finance and Audit leadership.
A leadership mindset, with demonstrated ability to mentor teams, drive consensus, and advocate for best practices in high-accountability data environments.
Industry recognition or notable contributions in data engineering (e.g., published works, open-source contributions) is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive compensation package, including equity.
Inclusive Healthcare Package.
Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills.
Flexible Time Off.
We will provide you the gear you need to do your role, and a WFH budget for you to outfit your space as needed.
The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $264,000 - $396,000. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location. Compensation outside of San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location. The total compensation package may include benefits, equity-based compensation, and eligibility for a company bonus or variable pay program depending on the role. We are committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology—including AI—to achieve our mission.
