Team Summary:
The AI Engineering team builds and operates AI Platform — the common foundation every engineering team uses to ship AI capabilities. The team delivers the shared infrastructure, reference patterns, and guardrails that let software engineers across the company build AI agents, MCP servers, and GenAI solutions without reinventing the foundations: model access, orchestration, evaluation, observability, and responsible AI controls. Working in close partnership with product and engineering teams, it turns proven patterns into platform capabilities that compound across the product portfolio.
Job Summary:
The Senior AI Architect is the senior technical leader for PointClickCare’s AI Platform, owning the architecture that enables software engineers across the company to build AI agents, MCP servers, and AI solutions on a common foundation. This role is an enabler, not a product owner: its output is a platform other teams build on, and the patterns, standards, and guardrails that make those teams faster. The Senior AI Architect works closely with product counterparts to review product roadmaps and translate them into architectural designs and decision documents and guides the AI Engineering team in building a robust, scalable agentic platform for the future of PointClickCare.
Key responsibilities:
Design and evolve the architecture of PointClickCare’s AI Platform — the agentic runtime, MCP integration layer, model gateway, and evaluation and observability services that engineering teams build on ensuring it scales with adoption across the product portfolio.
Guide the AI Engineering team through architectural decisions, design reviews, and hands-on technical mentorship, raising the bar for how the platform is designed, built, and operated.
Partner with product counterparts to review product roadmaps, translate upcoming AI capabilities into architectural requirements, and author architecture documents and decision records that de-risk delivery
Enable software engineers across PointClickCare to build AI agents, MCP servers, and solutions on the platform by codifying reference architectures, reusable patterns, and paved-road templates — and by providing direct architectural guidance to consuming teams.
Establish platform standards for security, responsible AI, evaluation, and observability, and run architectural review processes that keep solutions built on the platform consistent, compliant, and production-ready.
Minimum qualifications and Skills:
12+ years of software engineering and platform architecture experience with deep cloud expertise (Azure preferred), including 5+ years focused on AI/ML infrastructure and GenAI solutions at scale
Hands-on expertise with agentic systems — agent frameworks, multi-agent orchestration, MCP (Model Context Protocol), tool use, RAG, vector databases, and production LLMOps
Proven track record designing internal platforms that other engineering teams build on, including developer experience, APIs and SDKs, and self-serve patterns
Strong architectural breadth across cloud-native systems, distributed systems, data platforms, and security architecture
Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality architecture documents and decision records, and to communicate design trade-offs clearly to engineering and product audiences
Preferred qualifications and skills:
Experience with the Azure AI stack (Azure OpenAI, AKS, APIM) and the Databricks lakehouse (Unity Catalog, model serving)
Background in healthcare technology platforms or clinical workflows
Experience guiding engineering teams as a senior architect or technical lead within a platform organization
Expertise in advanced agentic patterns including multi-agent orchestration, tool and MCP server design, agent evaluation, and model fine-tuning pipelines
Deep knowledge of AI governance, responsible AI practices, and model risk management in regulated environments

In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash, and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe.

About the Role
Israel is one of Wolt's most established markets. Arab-Israeli communities, roughly a fifth of the population, are also one of its largest growth opportunities. We have launched in a growing number of Arab towns and cities and seen strong early traction. Our ambition is much bigger: a leading, scaled business in this market, winning consumers, merchants, and couriers in every region where Arab communities live.
The Senior Manager, Arab Market Business Lead, takes full ownership of Wolt Israel's business in the Arab market, with end-to-end accountability for strategy, growth, and results across consumers, merchants, and couriers. You will lead the existing Arab market team and serve as the link between Wolt Israel's management and this market, translating what works at Wolt in Israel into what works for Arab-Israeli customers, merchants, and couriers.
You will report to the Director of Market Growth, Wolt Israel.
What you’ll be doing
Business Ownership and Strategy
Own the Arab market business plan and its results: users, orders, frequency, merchants, and the economics behind them.
Define the strategy: which regions, segments, and categories to prioritize, in what order, and what it takes to win in each. Translate it into clear priorities for each function.
Evaluate performance continuously and adjust based on data, the competitive landscape, and growth potential.
Run a regular operating cadence (weekly performance review, forecasts, OKRs) and hold teams accountable for delivery.
Bring results, risks, and opportunities to Israel leadership, in a form that works for people who don't know the local market.
Team Leadership
Lead the Arab market team: set expectations, build accountability, develop talent, and add capacity as the business scales.
You will lead the sales and account manager teams serving the Arab market, setting commercial priorities, driving performance, and developing the team.
Consumers
Raise penetration, frequency, and retention, and compete directly for share against strong local players.
Merchants
Lead acquisition and growth of local restaurants, retailers, and small and medium businesses. Build the commercial offer, onboarding, and ongoing account management that make a small business choose Wolt and grow with us.
Open the door to larger chain and enterprise partnerships.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Work as a peer with Merchant, Marketing, Operations, Supply, Product, Analytics, Finance, and Legal, and align them behind one plan for the market.
Work closely with Marketing. You are not the marketing manager, but you set the priorities and direction so that campaigns, messaging, and local community presence turn into measurable growth.
Adapt Wolt's Israel playbook to the needs, habits, and expectations of Arab-Israeli customers. Where the playbook doesn't exist, create it.
Market and Network
Know the market in depth: the differences between communities and regions in the North, the Triangle, Jerusalem, the Negev, and mixed cities.
Build and maintain a strong network of community, municipal, business, and civic leaders.
Our Humble Expectations
15+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years of people leadership.
Fluent Hebrew, Arabic, and strong professional English,
with the ability to translate local context for a global audience.
A proven record of building or scaling a business line, market, or product from an early stage, ideally in a consumer platform, marketplace, delivery, retail, or e-commerce environment.
Hands-on experience with merchants, SMBs, and/or enterprise clients in B2B, and a solid understanding of the platform-to-small-business relationship.
Strategic thinking: the ability to see where we need to go, set a plan, prioritize, and drive it to results against clear metrics.
Financial and analytical acumen: comfortable managing a business through data, funnels, and unit economics.
A strong, credible network in the Arab-Israeli community across several regions, and a deep understanding of how they differ.
Experience working closely with Marketing and directing it toward business outcomes.
Strong cross-functional leadership: the ability to align and influence without relying on formal authority.
A working understanding of how apps and platforms work, and the basics of logistics and delivery operations.
An entrepreneurial, ownership-driven approach, with comfort creating new things where there is no existing playbook.
Ability to use AI tools to strengthen commercial and operational performance, for example in market analysis, account planning, and ways of working, and to drive AI adoption across your team. Hands-on experience with tools such as Claude is a plus.
A degree in business, economics, or a related field and experience in a global or matrixed organization are an advantage.
What’s in it for you
🚀
Global and growing fast:
be part of a fast-moving scaleup backed by DoorDash.
🤩
Ride of a lifetime:
build a new market from the ground up and accelerate your career.

Instant impact:

Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.
