Location: San Francisco, CA Workplace: OnSite ABOUT US Sierra is the leading platform for customer-facing AI agents, working with many of the world's biggest brands — including The GAP, Rocket Mortgage, SoFi, Sutter Health, and SoftBank — to transform how they serve customers and grow their businesses. We are primarily an in-person company based in San Francisco, with growing offices across North America, Europe, and Asia. We are guided by a set of values that are at the core of our actions and define our culture: Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Intensity, and a commitment to balancing Family along the way. These values are the foundation of our work, and we are committed to upholding them in everything we do. Our co-founders are Bret Taylor https://www.linkedin.com/in/brettaylor/ and Clay Bavor https://www.linkedin.com/in/claybavor/. Bret currently serves as Board Chair of OpenAI. Previously, he was co-CEO of Salesforce (which had acquired the company he founded, Quip) and CTO of Facebook. Bret was also one of Google's earliest product managers and co-creator of Google Maps. Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace. WHAT YOU’LL DO We’re hiring a Senior Commercial Counsel to be a core member of Sierra’s legal team. We are looking for someone who has deep expertise in commercial contracts, but also someone who is also eager to broaden their scope across IP, regulatory, and product. You will thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy tackling challenges beyond your comfort zone, and be excited to contribute across the business. In return, we’ll provide the support and opportunities you need to grow and excel as a lawyer. You’ll be part of a legal team that is highly respected within both the company and the broader legal industry—committed to excellence, collaboration, and making a meaningful impact. - Commercial Contracting: Structure, negotiate and advise on all commercial contracts, including SaaS subscription agreements, technology licenses, professional services agreements, channel partner agreement, vendor agreements and NDAs. Commercial privacy and security contracting experience (e.g., DPAs, BAAs, security agreements) is a plus. - Operational Excellence: Help build out our commercial function to be best in class. We aim to be the fastest and strongest, where the legal team is the differentiator in the contract lifecycle. You will be developing templates, playbooks, and workflows to drive efficiency and scalability. - Expertise: Deep knowledge of practice areas that underpin the commercial practice, including contract law, IP and privacy. You will also want to work in AI and understand the nuances of law as it relates to AI, including the evolving regulatory frameworks. You will be expected to advise broadly on all contractual issues and be comfortable doing so. - Teamwork: A team player first and foremost. Sierra is a unique place to work, with a strong sense of togetherness, and the legal team is no exception. You will look out for your colleagues, be accustomed to sharing and helping the team succeed. As the team grows, you will train and mentor more junior members. - Judgement: Understand risk in the context of a hyper-scaling business, have sound judgement and be strategic in your decision making. You will not be afraid to make judgement calls, and you will be empowered to do so. - Approach: A strong work ethic with an eye for detail. You will strive for perfection, and expect that of others. - Collaborate: Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Agent Development teams to support revenue growth and strategic business initiatives. WHAT YOU’LL BRING - 6+ years of legal experience, with a combination of both large law firm and in-house experience at a tech company. While we are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel, we are open to considering exceptional candidates with less experience as Commercial Counsel. - A strong background in negotiating and managing complex commercial contracts, preferably in SaaS, AI, or enterprise software. - Strong communication skills and the ability to partner with both legal and non-legal stakeholders. - A proactive mindset and the ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment. EVEN BETTER… - Experience of privacy/regulatory frameworks and can advise on data processing agreements and security-related contract provisions. - A passion for AI, with a deep understanding of AI products, LLMs and the related legal issues. - Significant law firm experience at a top-tier, internationally recognized law firm. - Experience working at a high-growth startup and operating with a sense of ownership. - Industry specific knowledge in any of the following: Financial Services, Healthcare, Telecoms, Insurance and/or Consumer. OUR VALUES - Trust: We build trust with our customers with our accountability, empathy, quality, and responsiveness. We build trust in AI by making it more accessible, safe, and useful. We build trust with each other by showing up for each other professionally and personally, creating an environment that enables all of us to do our best work. - Customer Obsession: We deeply understand our customers’ business goals and relentlessly focus on driving outcomes, not just technical milestones. Everyone at the company knows and spends time with our customers. When our customer is having an issue, we drop everything and fix it. - Craftsmanship: We get the details right, from the words on the page to the system architecture. We have good taste. When we notice something isn’t right, we take the time to fix it. We are proud of the products we produce. We continuously self-reflect to continuously self-improve. - Intensity: We know we don’t have the luxury of patience. We play to win. We care about our product being the best, and when it isn’t, we fix it. When we fail, we talk about it openly and without blame so we succeed the next time. - Family: We know that balance and intensity are compatible, and we model it in our actions and processes. Location: United States Workplace: Remote Manager, Commercial Operations We are looking for a Manager of Commercial Operations to build and run the transactional engine of the commercial function inside Revenue Operations. ClickHouse runs on a usage-based pricing model, and every deal – direct, marketplace, or partner – has to land correctly in the system: quoted against the right rules, ordered against the right contract structure, and booked cleanly enough that Accounting can bill and recognize it without rework. As we scale the cloud business and widen the product line, that path has to carry more volume, more products, and more deal structures without adding people to the middle of it. This role designs the systems, automation, and controls that make that possible. Reporting to the Director, Commercial Strategy & Operations, you will own the quote-to-order path and order management, along with the build behind it: the CPQ and quoting system requirements, the automation, the validation and controls, and marketplace transaction operations across AWS, GCP, and Azure. The goal is a commercial path where the standard deal is self-service for the field, quality is enforced by the system rather than by who touched the deal, and human review is reserved for the cases that genuinely need judgment. You will be measured by how fast and how cleanly a deal moves, how little intervention it requires, and how good the experience is for the rep. You will partner daily with Sales, Accounting, Finance, Legal, and Revenue Engineering. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING - Own order management and automate it. Run the intake, review, and processing of quotes, order forms, and bookings to defined SLAs through quarter-end peaks, and continuously engineer the manual steps out of that path. - Design the quote-to-order flow. Instrument the process, find where it slows or breaks, and redesign it. You own the architecture of the flow, the exception routing, and the automation that makes the standard case hands-off. - Own the quoting and order management system build. Write the requirements, design the quoting, validation, and approval logic, drive the roadmap with Revenue Engineering, run UAT, and validate every change in production before the field sees it. - Own the handoff into billing and revenue. Partner with Accounting so that what leaves your process arrives structured, complete, and reconcilable – and build the controls upstream that keep downstream rework from happening at all. - Build quality in as controls. Validation rules, guided quoting, required-field logic, and automated reconciliation that make an incorrect order hard to submit in the first place. - Own the field experience of transacting. Treat the rep as the customer: fewer steps, fewer handoffs, shorter quote cycle time, and a standard path that is obvious and self-service. Measure whether it is getting easier. - Build and run marketplace transaction operations across AWS, GCP, and Azure. Private offers, CSP transactions, co-sell mechanics, and the tooling and automated reconciliation that keep marketplace bookings tied out across the marketplace, Salesforce, and billing. - Operationalize commercial review. Encode approval rules and guardrails in the system so routine deals route themselves, and escalate the structures that break the system rather than quietly processing them. - Build the transaction path for new products and acquisitions. Stand up order management, quoting, and the marketplace path for new offerings and newly acquired products, test the flow through to booking before go-live, and be ready to transact on day one. - Own the integrity of the commercial record. Products, SKUs, pricing, contract terms, and booking attributes in Salesforce, with the controls and monitoring that keep them clean – the forecast and revenue reporting downstream depend on it. - Instrument and report on the system you own. Cycle time, touch count, SLA attainment, exception and discount volumes, error and rework rates. Use the data to decide what gets built next. WHAT YOU BRING ALONG - 6+ years in commercial operations, deal desk, order management, sales operations, or revenue operations, including time owning a high-volume transactional process. - A track record of building, not just running. You have replaced a manual process with a designed one and can point to the automation, the controls, and the measured result. - Hands-on depth in Salesforce and Salesforce CPQ. You write requirements, design quoting and approval logic, configure and test it yourself, and can tell a configuration problem from a process problem. - Technical range beyond the admin console: flows and validation logic, API-based and marketplace integrations, and scripting or SQL to reconcile and investigate data at volume. You can partner with Revenue Engineering as a peer on design. - Experience with usage-based or consumption-based contracts: metering, commits, overages, contract structure, and the downstream billing and revenue recognition implications. - Experience operating across a shared quote-to-cash process. You know where order management ends and Accounting begins, and you design the handoff so neither side is cleaning up after the other. - Marketplace operations experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure – private offers, CSP transactions, and reconciliation – strongly preferred. - Process-engineering instincts. You instrument before you optimize, design for the standard case and route the exception, and measure by throughput and error rate rather than activity. - A bias toward field experience. You have made a transactional process materially faster or simpler for a sales team and can describe how you knew it worked. - Comfort partnering with Accounting, Finance, and Legal on order form and contract mechanics. - Sound judgment under deal pressure. You can hold the line on a structure that breaks the system, and advocate for the field when the exception is justified. - Clear written and verbal communication. You can explain a commercial rule to a rep in one paragraph and brief leadership on what's at risk at quarter-end. - Experience managing or mentoring analysts a plus; this role is expected to grow a team as volume scales. - Bachelor's degree, quantitative or technical field preferred. PERKS - Flexible work environment - ClickHouse is a globally distributed company and remote-friendly. We currently operate in over 25 countries. - Healthcare - Employer contributions towards your healthcare. - Equity in the company - Every new team member who joins our company receives stock options. - Time off - Flexible time off in the US, generous entitlement in other countries. - A USD$500 Home office setup if you’re a remote employee. - Global Gatherings – We believe in the power of in-person connection and offer opportunities to engage with colleagues at company-wide offsites. Build and manage a healthy pipeline using direct outreach and the product, Marketing, BDR, partner, and customer signals available to you. You are accountable for pipeline quality and progression. Lead opportunities from first meeting through technical validation, security and procurement, pricing, negotiation, and close. Communicate MinIO's value to technical and business stakeholders, tying architecture to measurable customer outcomes. Expand and retain assigned customers by identifying new workloads, capacity, use cases, and business units, and hand off cleanly to post-sale teams. Use MEDDPICC or a comparable method, and keep accurate pipeline, forecasts, activity, and next steps in Salesforce. Location: New York Workplace: Remote MANAGER, COMMERCIAL SALES - EAST Location: US East (remote), strong interest for New York City THE ROLE Our commercial segment is one of the more technically demanding sales environments in the industry. Our buyers are data engineers, platform architects, and technical founders — and the AEs who succeed here do so because they can meet those buyers as peers, not vendors. Building and leading that team requires someone who has done it themselves and knows what great looks like. As Manager of Commercial Sales at ClickHouse, you'll own the performance, development, and culture of our Commercial AE team. You'll be expected to live in the details — reviewing pipelines, sitting on calls, pressure-testing deal strategy, and knowing every meaningful opportunity in the book. The best managers in this role won't be directing from a distance; they'll be the person their reps turn to when a deal gets complicated. This is not a role for someone who wants to manage from a dashboard. It's a role for someone who wants to build something. You'll inherit a team that has real momentum, as our Commercial segment represents a significant % of our overall business. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING - Lead, coach, and develop a team of Commercial Account Executives selling into the sub-250 employee segment — helping them close faster, think more technically, and operate with greater autonomy over time. - Own the Commercial segment number. You're accountable for team attainment, pipeline health, and forecast accuracy — and you'll be expected to have a clear point of view on both at any given moment. - Spend time in deals. Review deals, join customer conversations when it matters, and help your reps navigate the technical and commercial complexity that defines this segment. - Hire exceptional people. The Commercial AE profile is rare: technically credible, commercially hungry, and able to operate without hand-holding. You know how to find and close that person. - Build the playbook. Document what's working, codify best practices, and create repeatable frameworks for technical discovery, objection handling, and deal progression that the team can scale. - Partner cross-functionally with Solutions Engineering, Product, and Marketing to ensure the Commercial team has the support, enablement, and feedback loops they need to win. - Identify patterns across the pipeline — where deals stall, where we lose, and where we consistently win — and use those insights to improve team performance and inform product and GTM decisions. - Contribute to the broader Commercial strategy, including segmentation, coverage model, and how we evolve the motion as the team scales. WHAT YOU BRING - A track record of success as a quota-carrying AE in a technical sales environment — you've sold data infrastructure, developer tooling, or a similarly technical product to engineering buyers and you know what that motion actually requires. - Experience leading or mentoring other sellers, whether in a formal management role or as a senior IC who took ownership of team development. You know how to coach, not just direct. - Technical credibility. You don't need to be an engineer, but you need to earn respect in rooms full of them. You understand the modern data stack, can hold a conversation about architecture, and know enough to identify when a deal is stalling for technical reasons vs. commercial ones. - Strong commercial instincts. You can read a pipeline, spot sandbagging, identify risk early, and have an honest forecast conversation with leadership without needing a week to prepare. - A builder mentality. The playbook is still being written. You're comfortable operating in that environment and energized by the opportunity to shape it rather than frustrated by the ambiguity. - Genuine investment in people development. Your reps' growth is your growth. You give direct feedback, create space for people to fail safely, and take accountability for the development of everyone on your team. WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT The Commercial segment at ClickHouse is technically differentiated, growing fast, and still finding its ceiling. The person who leads it will have a direct hand in shaping how one of the most important data infrastructure companies in the industry goes to market — and will build a team that reflects their own standard of excellence. Our platform helps the most ambitious businesses deliver effortless digital experiences, at scale. If you want to do career-defining work, you’ve come to the right place. We move fast, think globally, and believe great teams are built by hiring exceptional people with conviction, curiosity, and the desire to make an impact. With 20 offices across six continents and London as our HQ, we’re shaping the future of fintech – and we’re just getting started. ABOUT THE ROLE Build AI workflows that Commercial teams actually use and prove the impact. We are looking for a Commercial AI Solutions Specialist to turn high-value Commercial problems into practical, adopted AI workflows. You will own use cases end to end: discovering problems, assessing and prioritising opportunities, rapidly prototyping solutions, supporting deployment, driving adoption, and measuring business impact. This is a hands-on role for someone who combines curiosity, structured problem-solving, and strong delivery ownership. You do not need deep expertise in every AI tool or in payments. We do expect evidence that you have learned a new domain quickly, independently built and shipped at least one useful workflow, and translated an ambiguous business problem into a measurable outcome. WHAT EARLY SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE During the first 90 days, you will build a strong understanding of Commercial priorities and workflows, develop a credible pipeline of use cases, and deliver practical quick wins. You will also establish the foundations for measuring adoption, productivity, and commercial impact as the portfolio develops. By day 90: two workflows live with real Commercial users, each with a named business owner, a measured before/after delta against a pre-build baseline, and sustained weekly active use. WHAT YOU WILL DO - Partner with Commercial teams and Revenue Operations to identify workflow pain points and high-value automation and AI augmentation opportunities. - Investigate problems, map current processes, establish an evidence-based baseline, and define clear use-case outcomes. - Build, test, and rapidly iterate on prototypes using AI-assisted coding tools, automation, and low-code or no-code platforms. - Take approved use cases from discovery through deployment, adoption, and impact measurement. - Design pragmatic human-in-the-loop workflows, controls, and feedback mechanisms. - Coordinate with relevant technical, data, security, and risk partners when a solution requires platform support or formal approval. - Support the enablement of end users through clear documentation, demonstrations, training, and ongoing iteration. - Maintain visibility of progress, dependencies, risks, adoption, and realised impact. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR - Evidence of having built and shipped at least one useful workflow, automation, AI-powered tool, or prototype that real users used in practice. - Evidence of rapidly learning a new domain or capability and independently delivering a measurable business outcome. - Experience owning work from an ambiguous problem through to an implemented solution. - Strong analytical and data literacy, including the ability to interpret data, establish baselines, and evaluate outcomes. - Hands-on experience building useful workflows, automations, or prototypes using low-code or no-code platforms, automation tools, or AI-assisted coding tools. - Structured problem-solving skills and the judgement to distinguish valuable use cases from attractive distractions. - Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence without formal authority. - A bias toward action, experimentation, and iteration, balanced with appropriate attention to risk and governance. - The ability to work independently while escalating material decisions and dependencies appropriately. DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE You are not expected to have every item below. These are examples of experience that may help you succeed in the role; we will assess evidence of learning agility, delivery, and judgement over checklist matching. - Experience in a Commercial, go-to-market, Revenue Operations, payments, fintech, or other regulated-industry environment. - Familiarity with generative AI, agentic workflows, APIs, workflow automation, data visualisation, or prompt and evaluation techniques. - Experience explaining a new workflow, gathering user feedback, and supporting adoption across stakeholders. - Hands-on experience building AI-powered tools, agents, or automations that other people used in their real work. - Familiarity with agentic development tools, APIs, and SQL; named tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex are examples rather than requirements. - You can read code, understand logic, and steer and debug an agentic coding tool. Additional Information Bring all of you to work We create the conditions for high performers to thrive, through real ownership, fewer blockers, and work that makes a difference from day one. Here, you’ll move fast, take on meaningful challenges, and be recognized for the impact you deliver. It’s a place where ambition gets met with opportunity, and where your growth is in your hands. We work as one team, and we back each other to succeed. So whatever your background or identity, if you’re ready to grow and make a difference, you’ll be right at home here.
