See yourself at Twilio
Join the team as Twilio’s next Senior Software Engineer, L3.
About the job
The Compliance Experiences team sits at the heart of the Twilio platform, owning two critical domains: Phone Numbers and Compliance (KYC).
In 2026, "getting a phone number" is no longer a simple API call; it requires sophisticated orchestration across global phone number inventory, real-time identity verification, regulatory compliance, and operational tooling at massive scale.
Twilio’s KYC Platform, the gateway to accessing all of Twilio’s communication APIs, enables customers to securely provision and operate communication services globally while navigating complex, constantly evolving regulatory requirements.
As a Software Engineer (L3), you will be a key technical contributor driving the feature design, execution, and operational health of platform services that process millions of requests. You will build scalable, high-performance solutions while working closely with engineering partners across Twilio to ensure alignment. You will own end-to-end feature delivery, author technical specs, and build robust APIs, microservices, and tooling relied on by cross-functional stakeholders.
You will embrace AI-driven development workflows, using LLMs and agentic tools to accelerate code generation, expand automated test coverage, and translate complex business and regulatory requirements into executable logic. Your mission is to turn technical designs and blueprints into reliable, production-grade features.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
DRAW THE OWL:
Contribute significantly to the technical design and roadmap for core platform components, authoring technical specifications and driving execution to transition legacy systems into modern, scalable cloud-native microservices.
ACCELERATE WITH AI:
Actively leverage AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Anthropic Claude, or internal LLMs) to automate boilerplate, generate comprehensive test suites, and rapidly prototype solutions. Set an example within the team for amplifying individual velocity while maintaining high standards of code quality and safety guardrails.
BE AN OWNER:
Drive technical excellence and end-to-end component ownership within your team, making sound technical decisions that balance rapid feature delivery with system reliability, security, and technical debt reduction.
WEAR THE CUSTOMER’S SHOES:
Partner with Product Managers and cross-functional stakeholders to translate customer needs and regulatory requirements into precise technical specifications, developer-first APIs, and seamless application workflows.
EMPOWER OTHERS:
Mentor and uplift junior engineers (L1–L2), onboard new team members, and foster a collaborative environment through constructive code reviews, tech talks, and technical guidance.
RUTHLESSLY PRIORITIZE:
Proactively identify and resolve technical risks, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities within team services. Fully own on-call responsibilities, driving incident resolution and following through with durable root-cause remediation.
WRITE IT DOWN:
Articulate technical designs, system trade-offs, and operational runbooks clearly to your team and cross-functional partners through high-quality design documents, RFCs, and thorough documentation.
Qualifications
Twilio values diverse experiences from all kinds of industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. If your career is just starting or hasn't followed a traditional path, don't let that stop you from considering Twilio. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!

Reporting to the General Counsel, you will own the company's commercial legal function, partnering closely with executive leadership across Sales, Partnerships, Product, Finance, Security, and Operations. You will lead the legal strategy behind complex enterprise transactions, help shape go-to-market initiatives, and build the legal infrastructure necessary to support one of the fastest-growing AI companies in the world.
This role requires an experienced commercial attorney who combines exceptional legal judgment with strong business acumen. You should be equally comfortable negotiating high-value strategic agreements, advising executives on novel business initiatives, and designing scalable legal processes that enable growth without sacrificing appropriate risk management.

Lead Strategic Commercial Transactions
- Serve as the senior legal advisor for complex commercial transactions, including enterprise SaaS agreements, API and developer platform agreements, strategic partnerships, technology licensing, channel partnerships, procurement, and other high-impact commercial matters.
- Structure and negotiate commercial arrangements involving API access, developer platforms, AI infrastructure, model licensing, usage-based pricing, and other emerging AI products, partnering closely with Product and Engineering to support evolving offerings.
- Lead negotiations for the company's most strategic customers and partners while balancing legal risk with business objectives.
- Partner directly with executive leadership to accelerate revenue generation and enable commercial growth.
- Advise on international expansion, evolving go-to-market models, pricing strategies, and new business initiatives.
- Provide practical, business-oriented guidance on complex legal issues in a rapidly evolving AI landscape.
Advise Company Leadership
- Partner closely with executive leadership to evaluate strategic opportunities, assess legal risk, and develop commercially pragmatic solutions.
- Counsel cross-functional leaders on legal considerations relating to AI, enterprise software, data, intellectual property, digital media, advertising technology, and emerging regulations.
- Support corporate initiatives that require sophisticated commercial legal guidance, including strategic partnerships, new product launches, and expansion into new markets.
- Act as a trusted advisor who proactively identifies legal risks and opportunities before they become business challenges.
- Advise Product, Engineering, and GTM teams on legal considerations related to API products, developer ecosystems, AI model access, platform integrations, and evolving commercialization strategies.
Build and Scale the Commercial Legal Function
- Design and continuously improve scalable commercial contracting processes that support significant transaction volume without sacrificing quality.
- Develop negotiation playbooks, approval frameworks, contract templates, fallback positions, and internal guidance that empower the business while maintaining appropriate legal controls.
- Partner with Operations and Enterprise Systems to optimize contract lifecycle management, reporting, and legal workflows.
- Help establish the long-term structure, processes, and best practices for the commercial legal organization as the company continues to scale.
- Mentor and provide guidance to more junior legal professionals as the team grows.
Drive Cross-Functional Partnership
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Partnerships, Product, Security, Privacy, Finance, and Operations to enable efficient decision-making across the organization.
- Translate complex legal issues into practical business recommendations for stakeholders at every level.
- Support special projects, strategic initiatives, and other high-priority matters that arise in a hypergrowth environment.
- Stay ahead of legal and regulatory developments impacting AI, enterprise software, privacy, digital media, content generation, consumer protection, and related technologies.
Requirements:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
- 10+ years of legal experience, with significant experience leading sophisticated commercial transactions for high-growth technology companies.
- Combination of top-tier law firm and in-house experience strongly preferred.

- Experience mentoring attorneys or legal professionals and helping build high-performing legal teams.
- Outstanding drafting, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly collaborative, low ego, execution-oriented, and comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities evolve quickly.
- Ability and willingness to travel once per quarter, including two annual trips to San Francisco and two annual trips to Kazakhstan

- Significant ownership, direct impact, and opportunities for professional growth as the company scales.

Team members are expected to be available during agreed working hours and maintain sufficient overlap with the relevant team’s time zone. While we work remotely, we value active communication, responsiveness, and close collaboration across teams.

Mission
Drive clearer, faster, and more scalable GTM decision-making by turning data into actionable insight, operational improvements, and AI-enabled workflows that improve revenue performance and customer outcomes.
The Role
- Partner with GTM leaders to frame business questions, prioritize high-impact analyses, and translate findings into practical recommendations.
- Build and maintain dashboards, reporting layers, and analytical workflows that give stakeholders clear visibility into performance across Sales, Customer Success, and related customer-facing motions.
- Analyze pipeline health, segmentation, conversion, retention, and productivity trends to identify opportunities for growth, efficiency, and better resource allocation.
- Develop forecasting, scenario-planning, and decision-support models that help leaders understand performance drivers and act with confidence.
- Use SQL, Python, and modern analytics tooling to extract, shape, and analyze large datasets from multiple systems.

- Collaborate cross-functionally with partners in Finance, Operations, Systems, and customer-facing teams to ensure data definitions, reporting logic, and recommendations are aligned to business needs.
- Present insights in a concise, executive-ready way, tailoring the level of detail to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python, with strong judgment around how to use each for analysis, automation, and scalable reporting.
- Strong experience building dashboards, analytical models, and KPI frameworks that influence business decisions.
- Demonstrated success supporting Sales, Customer Success, Revenue Operations, or comparable GTM functions in a SaaS or other fast-moving technology environment.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect data trends to customer, commercial, and operational outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex analysis and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently in ambiguous environments, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work with speed and reliability.
Desirable
- Experience applying AI or machine learning to business problems such as segmentation, prioritization, forecasting support, or workflow automation.
- Familiarity with modern BI and visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Experience working in a high-growth, multi-motion SaaS business where GTM teams need both strategic insight and operational rigor.
- Comfort partnering with senior leaders on ambiguous questions that require both analytical depth and strong business judgment.

Hi, I'm Paul, VP of Engineering at
Customer.io
. We're always looking for thoughtful, driven Engineering Managers to add to our org. Some of our teams are building customer-facing product and workflows; others keep our distributed systems reliable, observable, and ready to scale. Whichever kind of problem energizes you, if you lead people well, hold a high technical bar, and drive work to completion without waiting to be handed a plan, we want to hear from you.
About
Customer.io
Over 9,000 companies—from scrappy startups to global brands—use our platform to send billions of emails, push notifications, in-app messages, and SMS every day.
Customer.io
powers automated communication that people actually want to receive.
We help teams send smarter, more relevant messages using real-time behavioral data—what people do or don't do inside a web or mobile app. Under the hood: Go, React, and AI help us ship fast and scale with confidence.
What we value
Ownership.
You set direction and see initiatives through. You create clarity when things are murky and set the path forward rather than waiting for one to be defined, and you're motivated by impact—not just intention. You hold yourself and your team accountable to shipping, not just staying busy.
Leaders who can do both.
You operate at the strategic level and stay close to the technical work. You can align stakeholders on a plan and earn your engineers' respect in the same day—you don't choose between vision and execution, you hold both.
A drive to execute through resistance.
Competing priorities, skeptical stakeholders, tired teams—you've moved work forward anyway. You name the resistance, make the call, and own the milestones and the misses.
An AI-first mindset.
AI is central to how you build and how you lead your team to build. You have a real, concrete point of view on AI-native development, you use agentic tooling yourself, and you bring it into how your squad operates.
A healthy skepticism for "the way things are done."
You bring rigor and pragmatism. Best practices matter—but never more than forward motion. You know when to build, when to buy, and when to wait—and you're comfortable making the call with incomplete information, then adjusting as you learn.
What you'll do
Care deeply about our customers and their outcomes
Lead your squad to deliver real customer value by owning projects end to end—from planning through delivery, quality, and follow-through
Drive execution: set milestones, keep work moving through ambiguity and competing priorities, and
ship in small, observable increments rather than waiting for a release window
Make confident decisions when the path isn't obvious, and lead your team through them
Set the operating rhythm that helps your team move fastest, rather than defaulting to ceremony for its own sake
Ensure your squad's solutions are scalable, architecturally sound, flexible, and secure, with strong peer-review, QA, documentation, deployment, logging, and monitoring practices
Stay close to the work—jump into design reviews, architecture calls, and incidents rather than watching from a distance
Provide direct, timely, and specific coaching, and create meaningful development opportunities for your direct reports
Participate in an on-call rotation as required, supporting the reliability of the systems you build
Hire, onboard, and manage performance so the right people are in place to hit your squad's goals
Bring an AI-native perspective—use AI tools to accelerate the team's velocity and help everyone prototype faster and ship smarter
Partner across engineering and other departments to align efforts with customer success, and reach higher when our customers are having a bad day
What we're looking for
3+ years managing engineers at a SaaS company (B2B or B2C), ideally early-to-mid-stage
A track record of driving execution—concrete delivery outcomes with milestones, dates, and "I drove" ownership, especially in complex or fast-moving environments
A strong technical background—you can hold your own in architecture conversations and design reviews, represent your squad's technical choices across the company, and you've shipped real work recently enough to stay credible
Comfort operating with high autonomy and little prescribed structure—you create your own clarity and make difficult tradeoffs between competing priorities
Demonstrated AI-native leadership—not just personal fluency, but bringing AI-first practices into how your team builds
Experience building high-performing, inclusive, and collaborative teams
Clear, concise, and direct communication, both verbal and written
Compensation & Benefits
We believe in transparency. Starting salary for this role is $185,000-$215,000 USD (or equivalent in local currency) depending on experience and subject to market rate adjustment. We know our people are what make us great, and we're committed to taking great care of them. Our inclusive benefits package supports your well-being and growth, including
100% coverage of medical, dental, vision, mental health, and supplemental insurance premiums for you and your family

We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.
Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
This early-career Notino Experience Program Manager role is for a builder who thrives in ambiguity and turns it into momentum. You’ll wear many hats across the People team, but your core job is to jump in, chart the path, and drive high-impact projects based on business priorities—bringing clarity, aligning cross-functional partners, and executing quickly so the team can deliver meaningful employee experiences across EMEA and APAC.
You’ll succeed here if you’re deeply curious, eager to grow, and excited to hone your craft in People. This is a launchpad opportunity to learn from strong leaders, build expertise across the full spectrum of People work, and help shape moments that matter—bringing energy, optimism, and genuine care for people while helping build a workplace where everyone can do the best work of their careers.
As the regional anchor for how Notion’s global people & environment programs come to life outside the U.S., you’ll sit at the intersection of global vision and local execution. Based in Dublin and reporting to the Notino Experience & Environment Lead for APAC & EMEA, you’ll partner closely with the Global Experience Programs team in AMER and environment teams across Dublin, Sydney, Tokyo, Seoul, and Hyderabad—translating global programs into locally relevant, high-quality experiences and building the operational infrastructure to deliver them consistently at scale.
We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (our Anchor Days) because we do our best thinking and building together in person. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to work alongside the team during those days.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE:
- Own regional program operations. Take end-to-end ownership of key people programs across EMEA and APAC — from onboarding and performance cycles to engagement surveys and talent retention initiatives. You'll research, plan, launch, and iterate.
- Bridge global and local. Act as the connective layer between the Global Experience Programs team and on-the-ground environment teams. You'll translate global frameworks into locally relevant experiences.
- Build the infrastructure. Create processes, playbooks, and agents that make local execution easier and more consistent across markets. Think onboarding workflows, program calendars, and repeatable delivery frameworks.
- Elevate Affinity Groups. Partner with Affinity Group leads across the region to strengthen their programmes, provide operational support, and help surface retention and engagement insights from within those communities.
- Use data to drive decisions. Build and maintain dashboards that track program health, adoption, and outcomes. Use what you learn to run experiments, course-correct quickly, and demonstrate ROI.
- Partner cross-functionally. Work closely with People Partners, NoE , Recruitment and business leaders to align people programs with organisational goals and ensure an inclusive, well-supported employee experience.
- Champion the Notion Experience. Help craft and bring to life a more distinct Notino Experience brand across EMEA and APAC — reimagining how we work, how we connect, and what it feels like to be a Notino in your region.
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING:
- Programatic: experience running people programs end-to-end, across multiple markets & time zones.
- AI-native mindset: you’re “AI‑pilled” in the best way: you proactively use AI tools to speed up research, ops, and communication, and you’re excited to build AI agents/playbooks.
- Project management: strong skills and the ability to hold many moving pieces.
- Stakeholder trust: you build trust naturally across levels, from team members to executive partners.
- Bias toward action: you’re resourceful, scrappy when needed, and energised by a fast-moving environment.
- Change management: experience driving change at a high-growth company — you know how to bring people along, not just roll things out.
- Executive presence: you’re comfortable presenting to and partnering with senior leaders.
NICE TO HAVES:
- Familiarity with or enthusiasm for Notion
- Experience working across APAC and EMEA markets, with an understanding of cultural nuance in employee experience.
Notion is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role's scope and complexity, and the candidate's experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. The estimated range for total on target earnings (including base salary and on target incentive pay) for this role is €45,000 - €70,000 per year.

A NOTE ON AI
You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.
EQUAL OPPORTUNITY & ACCOMMODATIONS
We hire talented people from a wide range of backgrounds. If you’re excited about this role but don’t meet every bullet, we still encourage you to apply. Notion is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of any legally protected characteristic. Consistent with applicable law, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. Notion provides reasonable accommodations during the application process; if you need one, please let your recruiter know.
