The Role
As part of Checkout.com’s #NextGen Early Careers Program, we are looking for an ambitious Finance Analyst Apprentice to join our fast-paced EU Finance department. Reporting directly to the Regional Finance Director, you will work alongside experienced professionals, gain hands-on experience, and join a global community with technical training, mentorship, and regular networking opportunities to accelerate your growth.
Through a structured three-year program, you will balance real team deliverables with study towards your ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) qualification, dedicating 20% of your time (around six hours per week) to your professional studies. Each placement will be supported by a dedicated Rotation Manager alongside guidance from senior Finance leadership.
You will gain broad exposure across six core finance pillars: Financial Control and Revenue & Billing in year one; Tax and Treasury in year two; and Strategic Finance and Finance Transformation in year three. Depending on business and ACCA requirements, you may also gain exposure to adjacent areas such as Product Control, Procurement, or Internal Audit.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Support accurate, timely finance operations across your rotations, contributing to processes such as month-end close, reconciliations, journals and variance analysis.
- Help teams deliver invoicing, settlement, revenue recognition, tax compliance, cash management, budgeting and reporting activities.
- Prepare and review information carefully, including supporting audit, compliance and management reporting requirements.
- Work with colleagues across Finance to respond to queries, share information and deliver tasks to agreed deadlines.
- Look for practical ways to improve processes, documentation and the use of finance systems and data.
- Apply what you learn through ACCA study to real finance work, building technical, analytical and communication skills over time.
Eligibility Requirements
This role is offered as a government-funded Level 7 ACCA apprenticeship. Appointment is conditional on the successful candidate meeting the government’s apprenticeship funding and eligibility requirements at the start of training, as confirmed by our approved training provider. Under current England funding rules, Level 7 funding is generally available to applicants aged 16–21, with limited exceptions for eligible applicants aged 22–24 who have an EHCP or have been, or are, in care.
This role is offered as an early-careers opportunity and we are not able to offer this role on a privately funded basis. Further information about the Apprenticeship funding can be found here.
- Academic Qualifications: You will have either:
- A degree qualification
OR
- You have completed a Level 4 AAT qualification before the September start date
+ 2 A Levels (or equivalent) and 3 GCSEs including a pass in English and Maths
Visa sponsorship: We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
What We’re Looking For
- Academic Ambition: You are eager to begin your journey toward becoming a Chartered Accountant via the ACCA pathway.
- Analytical Mindset: You have a natural comfort with numbers and a high attention to detail.
- Resilience: The ability to work toward tight deadlines in a fast-paced, high-growth work environment.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets. Any prior exposure to accounting systems (like Workday) is a huge plus, but not a dealbreaker—we will train you!
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a "team player" attitude.
- Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets; familiarity with finance systems such as Workday is helpful, but not essential.

If you want to do career-defining work, you’ve come to the right place. We move fast, think globally, and believe great teams are built by hiring exceptional people with conviction, curiosity, and the desire to make an impact.
With 20 offices across six continents and London as our HQ, we’re shaping the future of fintech – and we’re just getting started.
Description
Are you a friendly, organised, and outgoing individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment? We’re looking for an exceptional Front of House Coordinator to be the first impression at our Checkout.com http://Checkout.com London office and the primary point of contact for our merchants and visitors.
In this pivotal role, you’ll set the tone from the moment someone walks through the door, creating a welcoming, professional atmosphere where every interaction reflects the quality of our brand.
This is not a traditional reception role. You’ll own the Front of House experience end-to-end — managing the reception area, coordinating meeting room schedules, and handling enquiries with confidence, while working closely with teams across the business to ensure smooth, seamless daily operations.
If you’re passionate about delivering outstanding customer service, take pride in presentation and organisation, and have a natural ability to multitask and anticipate needs before they arise, this role is made for you.
Responsibilities
- Own the reception desk, managing incoming calls and directing enquiries efficiently and appropriately.
- Coordinate meeting room bookings and schedules, ensuring spaces are prepared and utilised effectively.
- Maintain a polished, organised Front of House and reception area, including oversight of office supplies and mail distribution.
- Manage all incoming and outgoing mail and courier requirements with accuracy and care.
- Prepare, issue, and manage visitor access passes in line with company security procedures.
- Respond to emails, service desk requests, and general correspondence promptly, professionally, and within agreed SLAs.
- Manage the London office inbox and internal workplace calendar, ensuring clear communication and timely updates.
- Maintain and administer Visitor Management Systems, including Envoy and Brivo.
- Provide administrative and operational support to teams across the business to enable smooth day-to-day office operations.
- Support purchase order and invoice processes related to office and workplace operations.
- Act as a trained First Aider and Fire Warden (training provided if required).
- Maintain and continuously improve the Front of House playbook.
- Respond to London based Slack queries in a timely, helpful, and professional manner.
Requirements
- Full time, Onsite role 08.30-17.30 (Reception opening hours)
- Proven experience in a front-of-house or reception role, preferably in a professional setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Friendly and approachable demeanour, with a passion for customer service.
- Proficiency in Google Office Suite.
- Previous experience utilising Visitor Management Software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

BUILDING THE FUTURE OF OPEN FINANCE
Payward - the parent company behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services and CF Benchmarks - has spent the last 15 years building one of the most modern and globally accessible financial infrastructure platforms in the industry, built to advance an open, global financial system.
THE TEAM
Founded in 2011, Kraken is one of the world’s longest-standing crypto platforms, trusted by over 10 million individuals and institutions across the globe. It offers spot trading, margin, futures, staking, and OTC services, with products built for both individual investors and institutional clients.
We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a small, dedicated growth and experimentation team within Krak, focused on accelerating acquisition, activation, engagement and trading activity across the Krak app. This is a frontend-leaning full-stack role: the majority of your work will be in React Native, supported by enough backend capability to take an experiment from idea to live without waiting on another team.
Rather than executing against a rigid roadmap, you’ll work closely with Product on a continuous pipeline of fast, lightweight experiments, owning each one from hypothesis through implementation, launch, measurement and iteration. The mandate is simple: find the highest-leverage opportunities to grow users and revenue, prove what works, and scale the winners – with direct, measurable impact on how millions of customers discover and use Kraken’s products.
The opportunity
- Build and ship consumer-facing features quickly in React Native and TypeScript, favouring small, high-velocity experiments over long-running projects.
- Own experiments end-to-end – hypothesis, design, build, launch, measurement and iteration – using platforms such as Statsig to test globally or within specific markets.
- Improve onboarding, activation and feature discovery to drive conversion, engagement and trading revenue, iterating rapidly on features that are already live.
- Build viral acquisition features and value-add growth features on top of Krak’s existing product offering.
- Contribute to backend services and APIs wherever an experiment requires it, so you can ship across the stack without being blocked. Our backend is primarily Rust; prior Rust experience is not expected, but enthusiasm for picking it up is.
- Read your own results, including trade-offs between conversion gains and other metrics, and decide whether to scale, iterate or kill – driving technical decisions autonomously amid evolving priorities and limited upfront planning.
What you bring
- 6+ years of software development experience building and shipping large-scale, consumer-facing applications. Strong, hands-on React and React Native experience is essential.
- Demonstrated experience running growth experiments at consumer-facing businesses, with measurable impact on conversion, activation, retention or revenue. This is a consumer growth role, so B2B or platform-only backgrounds are not a fit.
- Working backend proficiency: you can design and implement services and APIs yourself. We care about backend fundamentals rather than any particular language, and you should be open to working in Rust.
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals, with hands-on experience across APIs, WebSockets and real-time systems, mobile performance, testing, and modern development workflows.
- Practical experience designing, running and analysing A/B tests – feature flags, statistical significance, product analytics, funnel and cohort data – with the judgement to act decisively on what the results show.
- End-to-end ownership of product features and a strong product engineering mindset, with the initiative and adaptability to operate with minimal direction amid ambiguity and frequently changing priorities.
Nice to haves
- Customer-facing product experience within fintech, digital banking, payments, trading or crypto.
- Hands-on experience with Statsig or a comparable experimentation platform, including regional and global rollouts.
- Rust experience, given our backend stack.
- SQL and self-serve analytics, so you can pull and interrogate your own data.
- AI fluency. Familiarity with how AI tools and patterns have fundamentally shifted your development workflow and problem-solving approach.
- Native mobile development (iOS/Android), distributed systems or microservices, or engineering within a hyperscaling consumer technology organisation.
Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution.
We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment on our team, assessing candidates in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.
OUR COMMITMENT
Payward is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate the diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions, and unique perspectives that everyone brings to the table. We hire based on merit, seeking out people with the right abilities, knowledge, and skills for the job. We encourage you to apply for roles where you don't fully meet the listed requirements, especially if you're passionate or knowledgeable about crypto.
We may ask candidates to complete job-related skills or work-style assessments as part of our hiring process. Finom is a European tech startup headquartered in Amsterdam, and we’re on a journey towards revolutionizing the financial landscape for entrepreneurs worldwide. Our mission is to develop an all-in-one financial B2B solution that integrates banking functions, accounting, financial management, and invoicing into a seamless, mobile-first platform.
We recently closed a €115 million Series C equity round (around $133 million), bringing our total funding to approximately $346 million. This significant investment follows a $105 million growth funding round from General Catalyst, a long-term backer since 2021 known for supporting companies like Airbnb, HubSpot, KAYAK, and Stripe.
Finom's platform goes beyond traditional banking, offering invoicing and a growing suite of features, including AI-enabled accounting, aiming to simplify financial management for entrepreneurs. We're actively expanding our reach across key EU markets like Germany, France, the Netherlands, Italy, and Spain.
At Finom, we’re not just redefining the entrepreneurial experience — we’re empowering our employees to make a real difference. Your work matters, and your impact extends far beyond product metrics. Maintaining our start-up spirit, we prioritize thorough research, swift implementation of solutions, and ensuring that every effort we make benefits our users, employees, partners, and, of course, our business.
We're looking for a Senior Android Engineer or Tech Lead who thinks like a product builder — someone who cares deeply about the "why" behind what they're building, not just the tickets in the backlog.
You'll be embedded in a cross-functional domain team (Backend, Mobile, ML/AI, QA, Design, and Product) and own the end-to-end development of features that genuinely matter: company accounts and cash flows, banking transactions, card issuance and management, and AI-enabled accounting. You'll help shape architecture decisions, raise the bar on engineering quality, and mentor the engineers around you.
If you're energized by working at the intersection of great mobile engineering and real product impact — this is the role.
What You’ll Do
Design and build new features for our Android application, used daily by business owners across Europe.

Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, tooling, and mobile best practices across the team.
