Location: San Francisco, CA or Seattle, WA Workplace: Remote ABOUT DOCKER Docker has been one of the most loved brands in developer tooling, trusted by more than 20 million monthly users and over 20 billion container image pulls. From solo founders to the world's largest companies, developers rely on Docker to build, share, and run their applications across our suite of products including Docker Desktop, Docker Hub, and Docker Scout. We are a globally distributed, remote-first team building the tools that define how software gets built and delivered. As AI agents redefine software development, Docker is at the center of that shift, providing the sandboxed environments, verified images, and secure infrastructure that make autonomous workflows trustworthy by default. _______________________________________________________________________ Docker AI Gateway is our answer to the complexity of taking AI agents from prototype to production. It’s a powerful, intelligent, and secure control point that eliminates the toil of model orchestration, tool management, observability, and governance—so developers can focus on building incredible AI agents, not gluing together infrastructure. The Gateway sits at the center of modern AI applications, offering: - A model and tool routing layer with built-in security and cost optimization - A familiar OpenAI-compatible interface and MCP server - Unified observability and policy enforcement - Auto-RAG, tool injection, session summarization, and more We’re just getting started—and we need exceptional engineers to help us build the backbone of the future of agent-based development. WHAT YOU’LL DO - Design and implement core systems powering the AI Gateway, including the model router, MCP gateway, and control plane - Build infrastructure that supports dynamic model selection/routing, auto-failover, cost-based routing, and policy enforcement - Own critical capabilities such as secure credential storage, session summarization, caching, and rate limiting - Develop APIs for developers building with OpenAI-compatible interfaces and the Model Context Protocol - Build the underlying infrastructure to support evaluation, telemetry, replay, and backtesting for agents and LLM workflows - Lead architectural decisions and mentor engineers as the team scales - Performance tuning - caching, session summarization, and rate limiting that keep the gateway fast under real production load - Contribute to roadmap planning, technical strategy, and cross-functional alignment KEY PROBLEMS YOU’LL HELP SOLVE - Building a unified abstraction over fundamentally different model and tool providers without leaking their differences into the developer experience - Making credential and identity handling for tool access both airtight and fast - Giving developers real-time and historical visibility into what their agents are doing, with policy enforcement that can't be bypassed - Keeping latency low and reliability high as traffic scales from early adopters to production fleets WHO YOU ARE Required Qualifications: - 6+ years of backend engineering experience with production-grade systems - Deep knowledge of distributed and highly scalable systems, cloud-native infrastructure, and API design - Experience building secure, high-throughput services (e.g., gateways, proxies, load balancers, policy engines) - Fluency in Go, and/or Rust (both preferred) - Familiarity with AI/ML platforms or model serving infrastructure - A strong product mindset—you're excited about building developer-facing tools - Ownership mentality with a bias for shipping, learning, and iterating - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience Bonus Qualifications: - Prior experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar LLM APIs - Familiarity with RAG architectures, vector databases, or agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AutoGPT, CrewAI) - Experience with policy engines (e.g., OPA), observability frameworks (e.g., OpenTelemetry), or API gateways - Understanding of OAuth2.1, secret management, and cloud IAM systems - Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architecture WHY JOIN US? - Work on what’s next: The agent era is just beginning. It’s a powerful, intelligent, and secure control point that eliminates the toil of model orchestration, tool management, observability, and governance - so developers can focus on building incredible AI agents, not gluing together infrastructure. The Gateway sits at the center of modern AI applications, offering: - A model and tool routing layer with built-in security and cost optimization - A familiar OpenAI-compatible interface and MCP server - Unified observability and policy enforcement - Auto-RAG, tool injection, session summarization, and more We’re just getting started and we need exceptional engineers to help us build the backbone of the future of agent-based development. WHAT YOU’LL DO - Set technical direction for core systems powering the AI Gateway 0 the model router, MCP gateway, and control plane - and make sure architectural decisions hold up as usage scales by 10x - Consistently identify gaps in our infrastructure, process, or tooling before they become blockers, and drive the fix from idea to production - Take a significant, hands-on role in defining, delivering, and implementing the Gateway's technical strategy, in close partnership with engineering leadership - Own the hardest, highest-ambiguity problems in the system: dynamic model selection, auto-failover, cost-based routing, and policy enforcement that has to work end-to-end - Act as the go-to expert for secure credential storage, session summarization, caching, and rate limiting - the capabilities everything else depends on - Build the infrastructure that lets us, and our customers, evaluate, replay, and backtest agent and LLM behavior with confidence - Mentor senior and mid-level engineers, and raise the technical bar for the team through code, design review, and example - Partner with product, design, and leadership to shape not just what the control plane UI does, but where the product goes next KEY PROBLEMS YOU’LL HELP SOLVE - Define the unified abstraction layer across diverse model and tool providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, AWS Bedrock) that the rest of the org builds on - Architect secure, scalable identity and credential vaulting for tool and model access, trusted enough to run at enterprise scale - Build the infrastructure for real-time and historical analytics of AI agent behavior that leadership and customers both rely on - Guarantee that policy enforcement and logging work end-to-end - from prompt to tool to response - with no gaps an auditor (or attacker) could find - Set the bar for developer experience through intuitive APIs and first-class observability WHO YOU ARE Required Qualifications - 8+ years of backend engineering experience, with a track record of owning production-grade systems at significant scale - Deep specialization in distributed systems, cloud-native infrastructure, and API design - recognized by peers and cross-functional partners as a go-to expert, not just experienced - Experience building secure, high-throughput services (gateways, proxies, load balancers, policy engines), and a history of making judgment calls other engineers rely on - Fluency in Go and/or Rust - A track record of identifying systemic gaps - in architecture, process, or tooling-— and driving the fix across team boundaries, not just within your own - A strong product mindset, with real experience shaping technical direction rather than only executing against it - Comfortable operating with wide latitude: given a problem and significant autonomy in how to solve it, including when and who to pull in - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience BONUS QUALIFICATIONS - Prior experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar LLM APIs - Familiarity with RAG architectures, vector databases, or agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AutoGPT, CrewAI) - Experience with policy engines (e.g., OPA), observability frameworks (e.g., OpenTelemetry), or API gateways - Understanding of OAuth 2.1, secret management, and cloud IAM systems - Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architecture - A track record of setting technical standards that other teams or engineers went on to adopt WHY JOIN US? - Work on what’s next: The agent era is just beginning. Help define the infrastructure stack for the next generation of software. - Own mission-critical infrastructure: Be part of a small team building the backbone of secure, intelligent agent applications. - Impact at scale: Your work will touch tens of thousands of developers building AI-first applications. - Engineering excellence: Join a world-class engineering team that values simplicity, code quality, and deep technical thinking. - Remote-first culture: Work from anywhere with a team that trusts and empowers you. An overview of this role As a Senior Partner Solutions Manager, Strategic Partnerships, you'll own the technical strategy and validation of joint work with GitLab's strategic partners: hyperscalers, artificial intelligence (AI) labs, AI-native companies, and development, security, and operations (DevSecOps) vendors. You'll work with partners, Product, and Research and Development (R&D) to turn partner and customer needs into integrations, influence product design, and build the business case for each joint effort, from the first architecture review to a shipped integration. In this role you will also own the AI model evaluation process with our model partners, working closely with our R&D teams to assess new models ahead of release and ensure GitLab is built on the best-performing models for our customers. Unlike a customer-facing Solutions Architect role focused on adoption, you'll work with partners to make GitLab better. This role has no sales quota or variable pay. At GitLab, our mission is simple: to enable everyone to contribute to and co-create the software that powers our world. Our platform doesn't just bring people together-it unites teams and organizations, breaking down barriers and redefining what's possible in software development. What You’ll Do Own the end-to-end technical strategy for assigned strategic partners, connecting technical requirements with joint business objectives. Turn partner technology and roadmaps into integration, architecture, and product opportunities across the GitLab platform, from planning to monitoring and AI agents and model integrations. Manage the end-to-end AI model evaluation process with our model partners, coordinating with R&D to secure early access, align on evaluation criteria and timelines, and translate results into partnership and product roadmap decisions. Design and facilitate partner workshops, architecture reviews, and cloud financial management (FinOps) sessions, bringing in the right participants and documenting outcomes and next steps. Build business cases for joint technical efforts, defining expected gains, costs, and resources, and securing agreement from partner managers, R&D, and leadership. Bring partner requirements and technical feedback into Product and R&D discussions to influence product design and the roadmap. Coordinate Engineering, Product, FinOps, Finance, Sales, and Marketing with partner technical teams to move joint work from evaluation to delivery. Track cloud, AI, and DevSecOps developments to advise partnership investment, and share reusable findings through documentation, the handbook, reference architectures, and technical content. What You’ll Bring Experience as a Senior Solutions Architect, Partner Solutions Architect, Partner Engineer, or in a similar senior technical role. Experience with technology partners or alliances is strongly preferred. An end-to-end understanding of the software development lifecycle, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), and DevSecOps, with the ability to use GitLab in depth. Hands-on cloud architecture experience with at least one hyperscaler: Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Microsoft Azure. Cloud cost or FinOps experience is a plus. Working knowledge of AI model evaluation frameworks and agent technology, including large language model (LLM) application programming interfaces (APIs), agent frameworks, and Model Context Protocol (MCP), and how they fit into developer workflows. Experience designing and facilitating technical workshops with senior technical and business stakeholders, and building business cases that scope work, estimate gains and costs, and size resources. An autonomous, ownership-driven approach: you identify work and move it forward without waiting for a project backlog. Clear, concise written and spoken communication, adapting technical and commercial trade-offs for audiences from engineers to executives. Ability to travel about once a quarter and work hours that overlap with Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). If you're on the US West Coast, expect to start around 7 a.m. Pacific Time; when the day ends is flexible. About the team You'll join Strategic Partnerships and report to the VP, Corporate Development and Strategic Partnerships. The team manages GitLab's relationships with hyperscalers, AI companies, and select DevSecOps companies, acting as the business owner and coordinating work across hosting contracts, product integrations, go-to-market activities, purchasing, and partner-specific marketing. Location: Hong Kong Workplace: Remote BUILDING THE FUTURE OF OPEN FINANCE Payward - the parent company behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services and CF Benchmarks - has spent the last 15 years building one of the most modern and globally accessible financial infrastructure platforms in the industry, built to advance an open, global financial system. THE TEAM Founded in 2011, Kraken is one of the world's longest-standing crypto platforms, trusted by over 10 million individuals and institutions across the globe. It offers spot trading, margin, futures, staking, and OTC services, with products built for both individual investors and institutional clients. Kraken and Payward VIP team supports the firm’s highest-value private clients: high-net-worth individuals who expect a premium, secure, and deeply tailored experience. We ensure Kraken remains the exchange of choice for VIPs through white-glove relationship management, personalized trading enablement, and high-impact benefits. We are looking for a Head of VIP, Asia to lead and grow Payward VIP presence across the region. This is a player-coach role: you will build and lead a small, high-performing team while personally owning strategic client relationships, originating new business, and shaping the regional growth playbook. You will set the standard for how Kraken serves, retains, and grows its most valuable private clients in Asia. You will be equally comfortable in a senior client meeting, building an introducer network, coaching a relationship manager, hosting a VIP event, and partnering internally to remove the product or operational barriers that cost us high-value business. Payward VIP program is unique, and we intend to keep it that way. We don’t copy what other exchanges and desks do. You’ll take what makes our program different and adapt it to how Asia’s VIP clients actually trade, network, and build trust. That means testing new ideas, learning fast, dropping what doesn’t work, and scaling what does. If you’re bold, comfortable with ambiguity, and humble enough to fail fast and move on, this is your seat. THE OPPORTUNITY - Lead, coach, and develop VIP relationship managers in Asia; establish clear standards for client coverage, pipeline management, service quality, and commercial performance. - Build the operating model for VIP growth across Asia, including territory coverage, account segmentation, referral strategy, events, and performance reporting. - Own regional AOP growth, net deposits, client assets, trading volume, retention, and revenue performance. - Build a repeatable pipeline of qualified high-value clients through direct outreach, referrals, introducers, family offices, proprietary trading firms, OTC desks, miners, project treasuries, and high-volume traders. - Represent the voice of Asia’s VIP client base internally: identify competitive threats, regional market dynamics, product gaps, and opportunities that influence where private-client capital trades. PERSONALLY OWN STRATEGIC CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS - Own and grow Kraken's most strategically important private client relationships across Asia, bringing our full VIP offering - ranging from trading and asset management to other services - to market locally, within Kraken's compliance and risk framework. - Serve as the senior relationship owner for Kraken’s largest and most strategically important private clients across Asia. - Bring Kraken’s VIP and private-client offering to market locally, including spot, margin, futures, OTC execution, earn and yield opportunities, lending, and tailored benefits. - Build trusted, durable relationships while ensuring every client interaction and commercial initiative operates within Kraken’s licensing, compliance, and risk framework. BUILD REGIONAL PRESENCE AND PARTNERSHIPS - Develop Kraken’s presence in Asia’s VIP trading and investor communities, including private trading groups, investor clubs, KOL and trader networks, and closed-door investor circles. - Design and lead high-quality regional programming, including VIP dinners, trader meetups, conference-adjacent events, and partner activations, in collaboration with Marketing and Regional teams. - Build and manage introducer and referral partnerships that create a durable source of qualified VIP opportunities. - Partner with Product, Marketing, Compliance, Banking, Client Service, and Operations to launch regional growth initiatives and improve the client experience. WHAT YOU BRING - 7+ years of experience in VIP relationship management, private banking, brokerage, private-client sales, account management, or business development, including meaningful experience in crypto or digital assets. - Demonstrated people leadership experience, with the judgment and practical coaching ability to lead a small team while remaining hands-on with strategic clients and revenue opportunities. - A strong personal network among Asia’s crypto HNWIs, traders, family offices, OTC desks, funds, or trading communities. Experience across Greater China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, or Singapore is especially valuable. - A proven record of personally originating and converting new business, not solely servicing an existing client book. - Deep knowledge of crypto market structure and trading solutions, including spot, margin, futures, OTC, lending, tokenized equities, and yield/earn products. - Strong commercial judgment and comfort managing KPIs including assets on platform, net deposits, revenue, trading volume, retention, pipeline conversion, and client portfolio growth. - Native or near-native Mandarin and fluent English. - Comfort operating across multiple regulated Asian jurisdictions, with sound judgment on when to engage Compliance and Risk partners early. - Willingness to travel up to 30% across the region for strategic client meetings, events, and conferences. Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution. We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment on our team, assessing candidates in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance. OUR COMMITMENT Payward is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate the diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions, and unique perspectives that everyone brings to the table. We hire based on merit, seeking out people with the right abilities, knowledge, and skills for the job. We encourage you to apply for roles where you don't fully meet the listed requirements, especially if you're passionate or knowledgeable about crypto. We may ask candidates to complete job-related skills or work-style assessments as part of our hiring process. These assessments evaluate competencies relevant to the role and are applied consistently across candidates for similar positions. THE TEAM Kraken's Consumer Creative & Design team owns end-to-end creative execution for Kraken Consumer and Krak. Our disciplines cover performance ad creative, brand design, motion design, AI video creative and web design. We turn growth strategy into creative that converts across paid, owned and organic surfaces. We work closely with Product Marketing, Performance Marketing, Content & Social, Lifecycle and our regional leads, and we hold the line on brand and messaging quality on everything that ships. THE OPPORTUNITY As our Staff Brand Designer, you come to the table with a strong design vision and set the visual standard for Kraken. You design static work for launches, campaigns and always-on activity, and you make sure it looks like one brand wherever someone meets it. You can take a brief or proactive idea to a finished, approved asset set, and you're comfortable building a clean, systemized layout in Figma. If you can also model and render a hero 3D asset in Cinema 4D, that's a real bonus. You report to the Creative Lead, Consumer Creative & Design, who gives you direction, feedback and cover in reviews. This is a senior individual contributor role with no direct reports. Senior here means craft and ownership: you set the bar for brand quality on the team, you build systems others can work from, and you're the person colleagues come to with design questions. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Design static creative for Kraken across product launches, campaigns, promotions and always-on activity. - Apply and extend the Kraken Consumer brand across surfaces, from organic social, lifecycle and web to illustration and foundational projects like key visual updates, keeping everything cohesive and recognizable without making it repetitive. - Design initiative-specific work, including a distinct look and partner-branded assets for launches such as IPOs, and purpose-built illustration for go-to-market and product moments. - Build scalable systems: Figma component libraries, marketing templates and modular campaign kits with localization-ready layouts, so other designers, other teams and our automated workflows can produce on-brand work quickly. - Use AI-assisted production as a core part of how the brand gets made, and know when it speeds the work up and when it doesn't. - Bring ideas to briefs rather than executing them literally. Push back with a point of view when a brief is unclear or the idea can be stronger. - Version and localize work across markets, languages and formats, with layouts that hold up under translation and market-specific requirements. - Partner with Product Marketing, compliance and regional teams to get work approved without losing the idea. - Collaborate closely with our motion, web, performance and AI video designers so work travels well across formats. - Hold a high craft bar on your own work and give clear, constructive feedback on others'. WHAT YOU'LL BRING - 7+ years of brand and static design experience at a high-volume in-house team or agency, ideally in fintech, crypto or another regulated category (a competitor or similar company is a big plus). - A portfolio that proves it, submitted with your application. Include the brief or objective alongside the work and the result where you're able to share it. We'd like to see brand and static work, an example of work you adapted for multiple formats or markets, and an example of a system or template set that other people built from. If you have 3D work, include a piece with a short note on your process. - Expert-level Figma: components, auto layout, variables, and files that are easy to hand off and build on. - Strong layout, hierarchy, type and composition that hold up at small sizes and in multiple languages. - Hands-on experience with AI-assisted production tools, and good judgment about where they belong in a workflow. - Comfort working inside regulatory constraints, including layouts that accommodate risk warnings, disclaimers and market-specific requirements without compromising the design. - Working fluency in Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects for light motion). - Speed without sloppiness. You're comfortable with fast turnarounds, several review rounds and late changes. - A solid instinct for plain language and clear communication: value first, no hype, no jargon. - Curious about investing and crypto at a minimum, and able to make the space legible to others. Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution.
