Responsibilities
Define and drive the technical direction for our experiences client SDK, translating the adaptive-experiences vision into an incremental, production-ready architecture.
Design and evolve the platform-independent composition layer, public TypeScript APIs, versioned schemas, content adapters, component model, data bindings, and platform renderer contracts.
Build reusable experience primitives and native rendering capabilities that support responsive layouts, personalization, experimentation, telemetry, accessibility, localization, and platform-specific interaction models.
Establish safe coexistence and migration patterns, including backward compatibility, capability negotiation, validation, feature flags, fallbacks, rollback, and observability.
Profile and optimize bundle size, startup and time-to-interactive performance, memory usage, rendering behavior, and runtime reliability on resource-constrained client platforms.
Improve developer experience through clear interfaces, reference integrations, test harnesses, preview and debugging tools, automated compatibility testing, and high-quality documentation.

Strong software architecture and API design skills, including modularity, dependency management, versioning, backward compatibility, and incremental migration of large production systems.
Experience building data-driven or server-driven user interfaces, reusable component systems, or runtime composition frameworks.

Experience designing for more than one client environment, such as console, mobile, web, TV, or embedded platforms, with a practical understanding of platform-specific constraints.
Proven track record of solving ambiguous, cross-functional problems with minimal direction and driving alignment without relying on formal authority.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document architecture and explain complex technical decisions clearly.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with console development, living-room interfaces, focus-based navigation, or performance-constrained native clients.
Experience with schema-backed declarative UI, domain-specific languages, JSON Schema, component expansion, data binding, hydration, or client-side rendering engines.
Experience building or integrating client SDKs, content management or merchandising systems, personalization platforms, experimentation frameworks, or design systems.
Experience migrating a large client application away from a legacy rendering or content-delivery framework using staged rollout, compatibility layers, and measurable exit criteria.
Experience developing platform adapters or renderers for iOS, Android, web, or other native client environments.
Familiarity with content and layout separation, runtime content sources, telemetry provenance, accessibility, localization, and safe fallback behavior.
Experience with developer tooling, visual preview systems, contract testing, schema validation, or automated cross-platform regression testing.
Experience applying generative AI or agentic workflows to software or content creation, including evaluation, governance, and deterministic output constraints.
A track record of technical leadership and mentoring across multiple teams.
Additional Skills
Motivated self-starter who combines long-term architectural thinking with pragmatic, incremental delivery.

RevenueCat helps app developers manage subscriptions and make more money from them. Maybe you're an indie developer who doesn’t know what "conversion" even means, you just want your app to make money so you can keep building it. Or maybe you're a growth specialist at a company doing millions a month, and pricing experiments are already your whole job. Either way, you probably didn't get into this to spend your days staring at a dashboard. So we built two AI agents to do that work for you, or make you even sharper at it if you're already a pro.
Enter Rico. Rico watches over your subscription business and can help you make sense of it, and act on what it finds. Say your revenue dropped last week. You don't need to go digging through charts to find out why. Just ask Rico. It pulls the data, explains what happened in plain language, and shows you how you compare to similar apps. Then it can fix things itself, like setting up a new plan or restoring a customer's access, with you approving the change before it goes live. Run a pricing experiment and Rico will read the results for you and tell you which version is winning. There are so many things we want Rico to be able to do!
Then there's our AI Paywall Editor, a specialized agent to build and edit paywalls, the screen that asks someone to subscribe. Most developers are not designers, and a paywall that actually gets people to tap "subscribe" is harder to build than it looks, so the AI Paywall Editor helps you with that. Use it in our online editor, from the command line, or hook your own AI tools into it over MCP.
You can see both agents in action in our most recent product launch recap https://www.revenuecat.com/blog/engineering/launch-party-june-26-the-new-features-you-should-know.
This is a role for engineers who've built advanced agents that do actual work, not just a thin wrapper around an LLM. You'll ship agentic features to thousands of developers, and you’ll shape the foundation everything else runs on: orchestration, tool execution, context management, evaluation and human-in-the-loop controls.
ABOUT YOU
- You have 8+ years of experience shipping production systems.
- You've built agents that other people actually use and the systems around them: tool use, structured output, context management, evaluation, orchestration.
- You have strong backend fundamentals. You've built systems that need to be reliable, observable, and secure.
- You hold a high bar for quality and instinctively know which details matter, but also are discerning enough to cut scope when needed while still delivering value.
- You’re customer-obsessed: you imagine yourself as the developer, product manager, or marketer using the feature or experiencing the issue.
- You’re a builder, not an implementer: scoping, prioritizing, and driving rollout in partnership with our Product team. This isn’t a role where you check off items from a detailed specification.
- You can quickly familiarize yourself with code you didn't write yourself and improve it.
- You’re scrappy and biased toward shipping. You’d rather ship a good version today and iterate than wait to ship a perfect one next quarter.
- You communicate clearly, both in real-time and asynchronously. We’re a fully remote team, and how you write is as important as how you code.
- You’ve shipped meaningful user-facing features to production, monitored their usage and adoption, and improved them over time.
- You write high-quality, well-tested code, debug issues methodically, and help raise the engineering bar through thoughtful feedback and mentorship.
- You act like an founder:: you notice problems, propose improvements, and follow through fast.
- You're comfortable with ambiguity. This is an early stage product inside a growth stage company, and the architecture is still being figured out.
- You're self directed. You figure out what needs to be built, build it, and ship it.
- You are curious and stay current on AI tools and practices.
- You have a habit of sharing what you learn with others.
IDEALLY, YOU HAVE:
- Familiarity with subscription business models, app stores, or developer tools
- Experience with OpenAI/Anthropic APIs specifically
- Experience with observability frameworks (Langfuse, Langchain, etc.)
- Built Slack integrations
- Contributed to open source AI/ML tooling
- Maintained systems at scale
IN THE FIRST MONTH, YOU’LL:
- Meet frequently with your team and manager to get up to speed
- Learn our tools, processes, and the subscription business concepts that shape our product
- Get familiar with our debugging tools, infrastructure, and overall architecture
- Ship your first project: a small feature that gets you into the codebase and shows you how the agents talk to RevenueCat's APIs
- Jump in early: fix bugs, ship small improvements, and weigh in on PRs
WITHIN THE FIRST 3 MONTHS, YOU’LL:
- Ship a medium sized project, ideally a new agentic feature that reaches tens of thousands of developers
- Understand the main product areas your team owns and how they work end to end
- Understand our current agent infrastructure, orchestration, the eval pipeline, the tool framework, and the trust and permissions layer, and have opinions on how to improve it
- Scope and work on projects on your own, from idea to post launch improvements
- Take part in code reviews, bug bashes, and technical discussions
WITHIN THE FIRST 6 MONTHS, YOU’LL:
- Become the go to engineer for certain focus areas
- Have made the agents measurably more reliable, faster, and capable
- Contribute to architecture discussions that affect more than just your team
- Mentor other engineers joining the team
- Talk directly with customers to understand how your work actually lands
- Debug issues across frontend, backend, and data. Communicate clearly during incidents and drive fixes that prevent repeats
- Learn the basics of incident response and join the on call rotation
WITHIN THE FIRST 12 MONTHS, YOU’LL:
- Have built infrastructure the rest of the team ships agents on top of
- Know all the major components of our system and be able to debug complex issues
- Write proposals and drive major architecture discussions
- Spec and architect large projects, gather feedback, and drive design validation and rollout plans
- Have made RevenueCat an AI native company in large part because you built the engine underneath it
- Have your own initiatives for improving our product and systems, grounded in real customer priorities
WHAT WE OFFER:
- Competitive equity in a fast-growing, Series C startup backed by top-tier investors, including Y Combinator
- 10-year window to exercise vested equity options
- A fully remote environment designed around autonomy and flexibility
- 4-5 weeks of flexible time off annually
- Paid desk at a co-working space
- Workspace budget and continuous learning stipend

RevenueCat gives app businesses the infrastructure and tools to build, run, and improve their monetization. Since graduating from YC's S18 batch, we've grown into the default monetization platform for mobile.
We're in 50%+ of newly shipped subscription apps, we process $16B+ in annual purchase volume, and we help everyone from a solo developer to the OpenAI mobile team understand and grow their revenue.
We're a remote-first team of 150+ people across 25+ countries, guided by values we actually practice: Customer Obsession, Always Be Shipping, Own It, and Balance.
This isn't the right fit for everyone. The systems you’ll build here manage billions of dollars and touch hundreds of millions of end users, and we don’t take that lightly. You'll be expected to work hard and hold a high bar for what you ship, alongside some of the sharpest, most driven people you've worked with. If that sounds energizing rather than exhausting, keep reading.
THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Product oriented Fullstack Engineer to design, build, ship, and own end-to-end product features used by thousands of developers and hundreds of millions of end-users.
We’re specifically looking for someone with a strong backend foundation who is also genuinely proficient in React.
This is a hands-on IC role. We are looking for someone product-focused, but deeply technical. You’ll work across frontend, backend, and data boundaries, making thoughtful tradeoffs to deliver reliable, high-quality systems. You’ll take ownership from problem definition through production rollout and long-term maintenance, the scoping and prioritization work as much as the code.
“Product-focused” at RevenueCat means pairing strong engineering fundamentals with good judgment, customer obsession, and a bias toward shipping — not trading correctness, reliability, or scalability for speed, but also not letting “perfect” get in the way of “shipped today.”
ABOUT YOU
- You have 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong backend foundation and a track record of building and operating high-scale production systems.
- You can write advanced SQL statements beyond basic SELECT and UPDATE statements.
- You’re proficient in React and have genuinely built on the frontend before. You’re comfortable owning UI work, not just backend APIs.
- You have solid HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals, and an understanding of HTTP and browser–server interactions
- You're comfortable coding alongside AI tools like Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code. You use them to move faster on the parts that don't need your full attention, and you're detail-oriented enough to catch when they're wrong.
TECHNOLOGIES YOU’LL LIKELY WORK WITH:
- TypeScript
- React
- PostgreSQL
- Python
- Flask
- AWS-hosted systems, following best practices for deployment, monitoring, and reliability
A note: Our interview process includes two separate live-coding sessions: one on frontend fundamentals and one on SQL, data logic, and algorithmic programming. We've found strength in both is a strong predictor of success in this role.
IN THE FIRST MONTH, YOU’LL:
- Meet frequently with your team and manager to get up to speed.
- Get familiar with our tools, processes, and core subscription-business concepts.
- Complete a First Ship project.
- Jump in early: fix bugs, ship small improvements, and weigh in on PRs.
WITHIN THE FIRST 3 MONTHS, YOU’LL:
- Have shipped a medium-sized project successfully.
- Understand the main product areas your team owns and how they work end to end.
- Scope and work on projects self-sufficiently, from idea to post-launch improvements.
- Actively participate in code reviews, bug bashes, and technical discussions.
- Continuously improve areas of your team’s codebase and product.
WITHIN THE FIRST 6 MONTHS, YOU’LL:
- Become the go-to engineer for certain focus areas.
- Proactively contribute to architecture discussions that impact more than just your team.
- Debug issues across frontend, backend, and data; communicate clearly during incidents; drive fixes that prevent repeats.
- Engage directly with customers to understand how your work actually lands.
- Mentor other engineers joining the team and raise the bar through feedback and guidance.
WITHIN THE FIRST 12 MONTHS, YOU’LL:
- Know all the major components of our system and be able to debug complex issues across it.
- Spec and architect large projects, gather feedback, and drive design validation and rollout plans.
- Lead your own initiatives for improving our product and systems, grounded in real customer and business priorities.

Customer.io
powers automated communication that people actually want to receive. We help teams send smarter, more relevant messages using real-time behavioral data.
About the role
Hi, my name is Diep N, VP, Finance at
Customer.io
, and I'm looking for a Global Controller to take the close, the books, and our control environment and make them theirs.
We're a global, remote-first, private company built on subscription and usage-based revenue, and as we grow we need a controller who can lead the team already in place and sharpen the fundamentals. You'll lead a team of ~7, growing, across revenue accounting, close, AP/AR, payroll, and treasury, and partner closely with me and, given our CFO's broad remit, with stakeholders across Sales, Legal, IT, HR, and Engineering.
What you'll do
Lead monthly and quarterly close, GL, AP/AR, payroll, and account reconciliations, delivering accurate, timely US GAAP financials. Close currently runs ~10 business days; get us to 6-8 days within your first 12 months, with fewer post-close adjustments and aged reconciliations.
Own revenue accounting and serve as our technical accounting authority on subscription and usage-based revenue recognition (ASC 606), including the ARR-to-GAAP bridge: reconciling ARR, billings, deferred revenue, contract assets, and usage true-ups to reported revenue, and explaining the delta to leadership and the board in plain terms.
Author technical accounting position memos on contract modifications, SSP allocation, variable consideration, and capitalized contract costs, the work that makes "technical accounting authority" real.
Own equity compensation accounting (ASC 718): grant accuracy, 409A timing, expense, modifications, and cap-table integrity, in partnership with stock plan administration.
Manage and grow a team of ~7, with room to scale, building trust quickly and developing the leads beneath you.
Build a control framework suited to a global, remote-first, private company with subscription and usage-based revenue, keeping the books audit-ready.
Own our accounting systems roadmap and drive automation across close and reporting.
Own select treasury operations, including cash management and banking relationships, and partner on FX exposure monitoring given our multi-currency footprint.
Run our external audit relationship and coordinate with external tax partners on compliance, provisions, and filings.
Manage the realities of a distributed, remote-first global team: statutory accounting coordination, payroll and contractor controls, entity reporting, and working with Legal, HR, and Tax on international compliance.
What we're looking for
10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leading a team through managers or leads.
A Big 4 (or equivalent top-tier public accounting) foundation.
