About
Customer.io
Over 9,000 companies — from scrappy startups to global brands — use our platform to send billions of emails, push notifications, in-app messages, and SMS every day.
Customer.io
powers automated communication that people actually want to receive. We help teams send smarter, more relevant messages using real-time behavioral data.
About the role
Hi, my name is Diep Nguyen, VP of Finance here at
Customer.io
, and I'm looking for a Director, GTM Finance to own our go-to-market P&L end-to-end as we scale from $100M+ ARR today to $1B+ ARR in the future.
We're hiring for strategic finance horsepower first: someone who builds models from a blank page, challenges assumptions, and earns trust with senior executives. Deep GTM fluency matters just as much — but for a strong finance generalist, that business partnership often shows up in the work rather than the title. You'll own our GTM P&L spanning Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success, and build the team behind it.
We're an AI-forward company: this role requires someone energized by using AI to reinvent how finance operates, not someone who merely tolerates the tools we hand them.
What we value
Financial rigor over title-matching
— we care more about how you've built and defended models than whether "GTM Finance" was ever your title.
AI as genuine practice, not a buzzword
— we want concrete stories of AI changing an outcome, not familiarity with the tools.
Ownership from day one
— you'll build and lead a team, not just execute analysis handed to you.
Directness with data
— you challenge top-down assumptions with account-level evidence, even in uncomfortable conversations.
What you’ll do
Own the GTM P&L end-to-end — revenue, gross margin, and opex across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success — not just a spend-efficiency lens.
Drive unit economics and the growth funnel model — CAC, LTV/CAC, payback, magic number, and cohort/retention analysis across self-serve and sales-assisted motions.
Own the ARR roll-forward, bookings, and revenue forecasting — auditable, reconcilable, and independently stress-tested against top-down assumptions.
Partner with Sales and RevOps on capacity planning, deal economics, and pricing — protecting margin and ARR quality without slowing deal velocity.
Build and own the monthly/quarterly GTM reporting package for the exec team and Board, with variance analysis that explains root cause.
Champion AI-enabled finance workflows and build the GTM finance team as
Customer.io
scales past $250M+ ARR.
What we're looking for
10+ years in FP&A, strategic finance, or related roles at complex, scaled orgs; a first-principles modeler who builds from a blank page rather than inheriting assumptions
Deep GTM business-partnering experience with Sales, Marketing, or Customer Success — regardless of whether "GTM Finance" was ever the title
Comfortable with subscription/SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR, CAC, LTV) or able to get there fast
Concrete, demonstrated track record driving AI adoption in finance workflows — not just familiarity with the tools
Proven people leader — has managed and developed finance professionals
Strong Excel skills (with experience using Snowflake a plus) and experience with planning/GTM systems (NetSuite, Salesforce, Gong, Drivetrain)
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA a plus
Compensation & Benefits
We believe in transparency. Starting salary for this role is
$200K–$255K USD
(or equivalent in local currency) depending on experience and subject to market rate adjustment. In addition to base salary, this role includes an equity grant in the form of stock options, so you share in the success you help build.

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the Role
We are seeking a Director, Technical Accounting – M&A to join our Finance team at Anthropic. In this role, you will support the company's accounting for mergers, acquisitions, strategic investments, and other complex capital transactions. You will report to the Senior Director, Technical Accounting – M&A
As Anthropic continues to scale rapidly and deploy capital into acquisitions, strategic investments, joint ventures, and novel commercial structures, you will be a key technical resource on structuring alternatives, consolidation outcomes, and financial statement impact. You will partner closely with Corporate Development, Legal, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and leadership to ensure that deal economics are accurately reflected under US GAAP and that positions are defensible to external auditors, valuation specialists, and future regulators.
This is a builder role: you'll help operate and continuously sharpen the controls, valuation governance, and close-ready documentation expected of a large accelerated filer, working alongside the Senior Director as the function takes shape. If you thrive on being in the room when deals are shaped — and then making the accounting land cleanly — we want to hear from you.
In this role, you will:
Execute technical accounting for business combinations, asset acquisitions, joint ventures, and related financing/equity structures
Partner with and influence Corporate Dev to steer deal structures toward preferred terms and outcomes
Perform accounting due diligence on prospective transactions, advising Corporate Development and leadership on GAAP, control, and earnings implications before terms are finalized
Execute end-to-end purchase accounting — acquirer and acquisition-date identification, consideration measurement (contingent consideration, rollover equity, replacement awards), and recognition/measurement of assets, liabilities, and goodwill
Execute post-close integration accounting — conforming accounting policies, system/ledger onboarding, working capital true-ups, earn-out remeasurement, and push-down considerations
Assess and monitor consolidation and investment classification for investees and structured arrangements — VIE/primary-beneficiary analysis, reconsideration events, equity method, measurement alternative, and fair value through earnings — and support impairment and observable-price-change reviews
Manage third-party valuation specialists; review PPA, intangible asset valuations, contingent consideration fair values, and impairment analyses
Author and defend technical accounting policies & memoranda; partner closely with external auditors on M&A, investment, and consolidation matters
Partner with Tax on deal structuring and ASC 740/basis-difference impacts; with Treasury and Legal on equity, SAFE/convertible, and other financing instruments
Help refine the deal-accounting operating model — diligence checklists, Day-1 close playbooks, opening balance sheet procedures, measurement-period tracking, integration workplans, and SOX-ready controls over non-routine transactions
Prepare and review transaction-related disclosures for quarterly and annual filings, including pro forma financial information and significance testing
Present transaction accounting conclusions and financial statement impacts to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders in clear, decision-ready terms
Monitor standard-setting and SEC developments affecting business combinations, consolidation, and investments; support adoption and cross-functional education
You may be a good fit if you:
Have 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 4+ years owning complex M&A and strategic investment accounting transactions end-to-end

We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.

Managing potential geographical and segment expansion
Assessing where AI could be wisely introduced in our Sales cycle.
You'll shape the strategy, own the execution, and measure the impact.
🛟 What floats your boat
You will be responsible for the following:
Defining and executing the human-led Sales strategy, from first contact to closing, to reach your revenue objective. Lead generation stays out of your scope.
Leading, mentoring, and growing a team of 4 Sales Managers, setting clear objectives aligned with company goals and building a culture of accountability, constant feedback, and raising the bar.
Ensuring the quality and delivery of recruitment by collaborating with the Talent Acquisition team.
Managing the Sales side of potential business expansion into new geographies like the U.S. or segments like luxury yachting.
Introducing AI into the dealflow when relevant.
Managing your P&L according to budget.

Data-obsessed and analytically rigorous: comfortable building and reading dashboards (Tableau or equivalent) to report on your line of business with accuracy.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to collaborate effectively with Tech, Marketing, and Business teams while minimising dependencies.
Full proficiency in English is required.
🌊 Bonus points (great to have, never a dealbreaker)

About The Opportunity
We are seeking a hands-on
Director of AI Enablement
to identify high-value business problems, deliver AI solutions in real operational environments, and turn proven approaches into reusable enterprise capabilities.
The role combines the business immersion and problem discovery of a
Deployment Strategist
, the technical delivery capability of a
Forward-Deployed Engineer
, and the product judgment required to standardize successful solutions. You will work directly with teams such as Compliance, Legal, Risk, Customer Service, Operations, and GBS, in partnership with Product, Engineering, Data, Security, and Infrastructure.
Success is measured by business impact and sustained adoption—not the number of pilots launched.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Find and Prioritize High-Value Problems
Embed with business teams and frontline users to understand their workflows, decisions, data, constraints, and pain points.
Separate root causes from symptoms and determine whether the right answer is process redesign, better data, automation, AI, or a combination of these.
Prioritize opportunities based on business value, user reach, risk, feasibility, time-to-value, and reuse potential.
Translate ambiguous needs into clear problem statements, target outcomes, success metrics, and executable plans.
2. Build and Deliver Solutions
Define the minimum valuable product and rapidly validate it with real users and data.
Personally prototype solutions such as copilots, agents, workflow automations, and internal tools.
For larger or higher-risk initiatives, partner with Engineering and Data teams on architecture, integrations, security, reliability, evaluation, and production readiness.
Own delivery from discovery and prototype through launch, adoption, measurement, iteration, and handover.
3. Drive Adoption and Business Impact
Design solutions with users and adapt workflows based on real operational behavior.
Lead pilots, enablement, training, and change management required for sustained adoption.
Track outcomes such as time saved, cycle-time reduction, quality improvement, risk reduction, cost avoided, and active usage.
Ensure every initiative has a business owner, an adoption plan, and a sustainable operating model.
4. Productize and Scale What Works
Identify recurring workflows, data needs, integrations, and governance requirements across teams.
Convert successful deployments into reusable components, templates, reference architectures, or configurable products.
Decide when a need should remain bespoke, use shared components, or become a standardized product or platform capability.
Build practical playbooks and standards for opportunity assessment, prototyping, evaluation, productionization, and impact measurement.
Feed field learnings into shared Product and Engineering roadmaps, reducing duplicated and one-off solutions.
What We Look For In You
4+ years of experience across product management, technical delivery, solutions engineering, enterprise transformation, consulting, or software/data engineering.
Demonstrated ability to uncover high-value problems through workflow observation, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement.
Hands-on experience building and shipping AI, data, or automation-enabled solutions used in real operational workflows.
Strong product judgment, including prioritization, MVP definition, trade-off decisions, rapid validation, and avoidance of over-engineering.
Sufficient technical depth to prototype independently and work effectively with Engineering on data, integrations, architecture, security, evaluation, and reliability.
Working knowledge of LLMs, RAG, agents, tool use, prompt design, evaluation, observability, and human-in-the-loop systems.
Experience turning bespoke business needs into reusable products, shared services, or operating standards.
Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills across frontline users, technical teams, and senior executives.
High ownership and comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
Nice-To-Haves
Experience in fintech, crypto/blockchain, financial services, or another regulated industry.
Experience working with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Customer Service, Operations, or other non-engineering functions.
Experience with enterprise data platforms, knowledge systems, agent frameworks, workflow orchestration, or MCP-based integrations.
Experience leading an AI enablement function, forward-deployed team, internal product incubator, or multidisciplinary delivery team.
Familiarity with Lark/Feishu and enterprise internal-tooling ecosystems.
Expected Outcomes
Within the first 6–12 months, the successful candidate will be expected to:
Establish a repeatable approach for identifying and prioritizing high-value AI opportunities.
Deliver production use cases with measurable operational impact and sustained adoption.
Create clear ownership and decision paths from prototype to production, scale, handover, or stop.
Turn selected deployments into reusable capabilities adopted by multiple teams.
Build a network of business champions and technical partners capable of scaling AI adoption across the organization.

DESCRIPTION
Constructor is an AI-first search and product discovery platform built for enterprise ecommerce, helping leading retailers deliver personalized digital shopping experiences that drive revenue, conversion and profit. Our technology delivers consistent $10M+ lifts for brands including Sephora, Petco, Under Armour and Birkenstock.
We are looking for a Director of Product Marketing to help tell that story.
This is a highly hands-on role for someone exceptional at product positioning, messaging and storytelling. You'll define what makes Constructor genuinely different and translate that into a compelling narrative that resonates with prospects, customers and the market.
Our platform is powerful, technically sophisticated and constantly evolving. We need someone who can bring clarity to that complexity, identify the real value and differentiation of our products, and create positioning that makes customers think: "This is clearly better—and we need it."
This position is equal parts strategist and builder - setting direction, developing people, and rolling up your sleeves to build the many artifacts that form a robust product marketing org. You will work closely with our product leaders to launch new products, add-ons and features, with our content marketing team to create thought leadership, with growth marketing to drive pipeline and product content and with sales to ensure the GTM functions are enabled on key launches and competitors. Any feature or product launch, with the product team, will include a bill of materials focused on value proposition, personas, objection handling, competition and more.
REQUIREMENTS
PRODUCT POSITIONING & MESSAGING
- Own and evolve differentiated positioning for Constructor's platform, products and key capabilities.
- Develop a deep understanding of what makes our technology unique and valuable to customers.
- Translate complex technical capabilities into clear, compelling customer value propositions.
- Create messaging that clearly communicates why Constructor, why now and why we're different.
- Build messaging frameworks and narratives that align Marketing, Sales and Customer Success.
- Ensure our positioning is grounded in genuine product strengths and customer needs, not simply what competitors are saying.
GTM & PRODUCT LAUNCHES
- Create compelling product narratives, value propositions and messaging that bring products and capabilities to life.
- Develop sales enablement and customer-facing materials that support launches, adoption and expansion.
- Partner with Sales to understand customer needs, objections and deal dynamics, continuously improving positioning and enablement.
- Lead and orchestrate product launches from strategy through execution that are crisp, focused, and actually land with customers
- Partner with Product on roadmap communication and prioritization
- Identify gaps in capabilities and proactively build the function to address them
CUSTOMER & MARKET INSIGHT
- Build a deep understanding of our customers, prospects, buyers and their challenges.
- Understand the ecommerce, search and product discovery landscape and where Constructor creates differentiated value.
- Engage with customers and prospects to understand what resonates and why they choose Constructor.
- Monitor the market and competitive landscapes.
- Identify opportunities to improve how we communicate product value throughout the customer lifecycle and the deep understanding of buyer personas and ICP.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
EXPERIENCE
- 8-10 years experience in B2B SaaS product marketing, ideally within a technical or complex product environment.
- Proven track record developing genuinely differentiated positioning and messaging.
- Ability to take complex technology and turn it into a simple, compelling story that customers understand and value.
- Experience bringing products or capabilities to market and creating GTM materials that support adoption and growth.
- Strong experience partnering with Product and Sales to develop positioning that works both externally and commercially.
- Experience in ecommerce, retail technology, search, discovery is a plus.
SKILLS
- You are a strong storyteller who can communicate complex technical concepts in a simple, clear and persuasive way.
- You are technically curious, with a good understanding of how products work and what makes technology better, as well as a familiarity with AI/ML fundamentals.
- You are commercially minded, with an understanding of how strong positioning can drive pipeline, revenue, adoption and expansion.
- You are an excellent communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to create and present compelling ideas.
- You are both strategic and hands-on, comfortable setting direction while also getting into the detail needed to make things happen.
- You are creative and curious, willing to challenge conventional thinking and explore new ways to differentiate.
- You have an analytical mindset and can use market research and performance data to support strategic decisions, with experience in ROI analysis and experimentation.
- You have excellent project management skills and strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage complex initiatives from concept through to execution.
- You have a growth mindset, bringing creativity, ambition and a proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation.

ABOUT US
Sierra is the leading platform for customer-facing AI agents, working with many of the world's biggest brands — including The GAP, Rocket Mortgage, SoFi, Sutter Health, and SoftBank — to transform how they serve customers and grow their businesses. We are primarily an in-person company based in San Francisco, with growing offices across North America, Europe, and Asia.
We are guided by a set of values that are at the core of our actions and define our culture: Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Intensity, and a commitment to balancing Family along the way. These values are the foundation of our work, and we are committed to upholding them in everything we do.
Our co-founders are Bret Taylor https://www.linkedin.com/in/brettaylor/ and Clay Bavor https://www.linkedin.com/in/claybavor/. Bret currently serves as Board Chair of OpenAI. Previously, he was co-CEO of Salesforce (which had acquired the company he founded, Quip) and CTO of Facebook. Bret was also one of Google's earliest product managers and co-creator of Google Maps. Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Independently drive complex enterprise deals end-to-end: Manage a broad enterprise book with strong autonomy, leading 6- and 7-figure deal cycles from prospecting to close.
- Multi-thread to the C-suite: Lead VP-level conversations, build durable C-suite relationships across customer orgs, and earn credibility quickly with new stakeholders.
- Manage risk proactively: Identify and manage deal risk early; build rigorous stakeholder maps for your accounts.
- Make the hard calls: Partner with your manager (and, at the senior level, operate more independently) on pricing, escalation timing, exec alignment, and deal strategy — coming to the table with a point of view, not just a problem.
- Leverage leadership & co-founders: Bring in Sierra's co-founders effectively for exec engagement when it moves a deal.
- Raise the bar: Act as a visible, steady leader on deal teams; proactively elevate the team's standard without being asked.
- Operate as an AI-native seller: Leverage AI tools across the full sales cycle- account research, personalized outreach, call summarization, pipeline forecasting, and deal execution- to automate low-value tasks and reinvest that time into high-value customer relationships, while continuously adopting and experimenting with new tools to work faster and smarter than traditional methods allow.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- 8- 10 years of enterprise customer-facing sales experience, identifying and closing large accounts.
- Experience managing a $1M+ quota and running end-to-end complex 6- and 7-figure ACV deals.

- Exceptional verbal and written communication.
- Analytical mindset - you analyze market trends, spot opportunities, and make data-driven decisions.
EVEN BETTER...
- Familiarity with the AI landscape, key players, and emerging trends.
OUR VALUES
- Trust: We build trust with our customers with our accountability, empathy, quality, and responsiveness. We build trust in AI by making it more accessible, safe, and useful. We build trust with each other by showing up for each other professionally and personally, creating an environment that enables all of us to do our best work.
- Customer Obsession: We deeply understand our customers’ business goals and relentlessly focus on driving outcomes, not just technical milestones. Everyone at the company knows and spends time with our customers. When our customer is having an issue, we drop everything and fix it.
- Craftsmanship: We get the details right, from the words on the page to the system architecture. We have good taste. When we notice something isn’t right, we take the time to fix it. We are proud of the products we produce. We continuously self-reflect to continuously self-improve.
- Intensity: We know we don’t have the luxury of patience. We play to win. We care about our product being the best, and when it isn’t, we fix it. When we fail, we talk about it openly and without blame so we succeed the next time.
- Family: We know that balance and intensity are compatible, and we model it in our actions and processes. We are the best technology company for parents. We support and respect each other and celebrate each other’s personal and professional achievements.
