We are looking for a
Senior Full Stack Engineer
who is comfortable working on high-load, distributed systems and making architectural decisions, not just implementing tasks.
At MMDSmart, you will work on a CPaaS/CCaaS platform handling messaging and voice communication at scale. This is not a typical CRUD product: you’ll deal with real-time flows, external integrations, billing complexity, and systems where design mistakes surface quickly in production.
You will be expected to take ownership from design to delivery and challenge assumptions when needed.
Since 2007, MMDSmart has been a
leading supplier in cloud-based business communications
, delivering game-changing IT products to businesses in over 100 countries. Our success is fueled by the inspiration and innovative ideas of our team members, encouraging their growth and impacting our Messaging and
Voice solutions
. These empower our clients to communicate more effectively with their customers. Don’t miss this chance to excel in a rapidly expanding tech company, where your potential and ambitions are not just recognized, but celebrated.
Requirements
What will you do at MMDSmart?
Design and implement new platform capabilities across backend and frontend (not just “features” but system-level improvements);
Contribute to architecture decisions in a microservices environment (Go-based services, event-driven patterns, APIs);
Build and evolve React-based interfaces used by enterprise customers and internal teams;
Work on integrations with external vendors (messaging providers, voice, billing systems);
Investigate production issues in a high-scale environment and drive them to resolution—not just patch them;
Participate in technical discussions, trade-off analysis, and system design reviews;
Occasionally lead initiatives or own a domain end-to-end.
You are a perfect match if you have:
4+ years of real production experience as a Full Stack Engineer;
Strong backend expertise with Go (3+ years), not just syntax, but concurrency, performance, and system design;
Solid frontend experience with React + TypeScript (2+ years);
Experience building or maintaining distributed systems / microservices;
Good understanding of data modeling (SQL + NoSQL) and when to use each;
Ability to debug complex issues across services (not limited to your own code);
Comfortable working in an environment where requirements evolve and not everything is predefined.
Will be a plus:
Experience with real-time systems, messaging, or telecom domains;
Familiarity with event streaming (Kafka or similar);
Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred);
Exposure to billing systems or high-throughput APIs.
What you get:
Work on systems that actually operate at scale and have real business impact;
A team where senior engineers are expected to influence architecture, not just execute;
Remote work.

These values are the foundation of our work, and we are committed to upholding them in everything we do.
Our co-founders are Bret Taylor https://www.linkedin.com/in/brettaylor/ and Clay Bavor https://www.linkedin.com/in/claybavor/. Bret currently serves as Board Chair of OpenAI. Previously, he was co-CEO of Salesforce (which had acquired the company he founded, Quip) and CTO of Facebook. Bret was also one of Google's earliest product managers and co-creator of Google Maps. Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Design and deliver production-grade AI agents https://sierra.ai/blog/meet-the-ai-agent-engineer: You'll build and ship highly performant, reliable, and intuitive AI agents that are central, mission-critical and drive revenue directly to Sierra's growth. These aren't prototypes—they are powerful, scalable systems running in production environments across industries like finance, healthcare, and commerce.
- Drive the Agent Development Life Cycle https://sierra.ai/blog/agent-development-life-cycle (ADLC): You'll have complete ownership and autonomy from initial pilot through deployment and continuous iteration. You'll be responsible for building, tuning, and evolving AI agents in production environments, defining the standard for ADLC best practices along the way.
- Partner with large enterprises and cutting-edge startups: You’ll work directly with leaders at some of the world’s largest enterprises to understand their most pressing business challenges, and build AI agents that transform how they operate at scale. You'll also partner with the most cutting-edge startups in Silicon Valley, embedding AI agents across their entire business stack to drive innovation and efficiency.
- Build the future of the platform: Your direct work with customers will guide the evolution of Sierra's core platform. You'll surface unmet needs, prototype new tools and features, and collaborate with research, product, and platform to shape the future of AI agent development and Sierra's product.

The 1Password Sales Engineering team is a valuable resource to our customers and fellow Go-to-Market team members. Our Sales Engineers are well known and respected as experts on the product, trusted advisors to our sales teams and customers, and a sought-after resource for various types of customer calls. The team collaborates with Product, Marketing, Enablement, and Support to create resources, provide training opportunities, and elevate the overall understanding of 1Password. We are a kind, curious, approachable, and customer-focused team on a mission to drive the vision of 1Password forward.
As a Sales Engineer for the SMB segment, you will be a trusted technical advisor, driving revenue growth, improving win rates, and accelerating deal velocity through strategic technical guidance. Partnering closely with Account Executives, you will demonstrate and position Enterprise Password Management (EPM), 1Password Privileged access, Software as a service (SaaS) Manager and device trust as an integrated solution that helps reduce risk across users, applications and devices.
You will navigate high-volume, fast-paced SMB sales cycles, uncovering opportunities to position the full product suite and applying frameworks like MEDDPICC to qualify opportunities, address requirements, and influence decision-makers. You will also support customers with compliance needs by responding to security questionnaires, RFPs/RFIs, and vendor registration requirements.
You will bring credibility with both security and technical buyers, including those evaluating or transitioning from developer-centric secrets management tools. As 1Password's portfolio evolves toward Unified Access, your ability to bridge human identity (EPM), application access (SaaS Manager), and endpoint trust (Device Trust) with the emerging machine identity and secrets automation narrative will be a differentiator in every deal.
As a subject matter expert across all 1Password products, you will collaborate with Sales Enablement, Product, Marketing, and Customer Experience to create resources, enablement materials, and customer-facing content that drive adoption, improve close rates, and deliver measurable business impact.
How we’re using AI today
Across GTM, we’re transforming the way we work with AI. We expect every seller, CSM, and team member to become a power user, using it daily to work smarter and move faster. AI is already embedded in how we operate – from real-time coaching that sharpens how we sell and interact with customers, to surfacing insights that help us anticipate needs – creating more time for meaningful customer engagement. If you’re excited to reshape how you think, make decisions, and drive growth with AI, you’ll feel right at home here.
Expectations of this role
This is a hybrid role. You will be expected to work from 1Password's London office 3 days per week, with the flexibility to work from the office up to 5 days based on business needs.
Note: All go-to-market roles will have an in-person onboarding in Toronto.
What we're looking for:
- At least 4 years of experience in a technical customer-facing role (B2B SaaS, preferably in the SMB segment or similar).
- Ability to communicate in French fluently
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly and confidently to a wide range of audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong presentation, communication, and storytelling skills, making complex information sound simple and relevant.
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and commitment to quality, even in high-volume environments.
- Enthusiasm for learning, testing, and problem-solving. You are curious and dig in when a customer has a challenge.
- Strong time-management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize competing tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, transactional sales environment.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote-first team.
- Open to learning and able to adapt quickly, working across multiple products and shifting priorities with a flexible and proactive mindset.
- Experience in or strong familiarity with the security and identity space, including credential management, privileged access, or secrets management. Prior exposure to tools such as HashiCorp Vault, CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Delinea, or similar PAM and secrets platforms is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with relevant compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR) is strongly preferred.
- Comfortable navigating developer-centric conversations, including how teams manage secrets in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI), container environments (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure). You don't need to write the code, but you should understand the workflow and the risks.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and how engineering teams embed security into their development lifecycle. Able to engage confidently with DevOps leads, platform engineers, and CISOs on the risks of secrets sprawl, hardcoded credentials, and over-privileged service accounts.
- Working knowledge of identity concepts including SSO, SCIM provisioning, and OAuth/OIDC, and how SaaS application access is managed across growing teams. Familiarity with MDM or endpoint management tools (e.g., Jamf, Intune, CrowdStrike) is a bonus.
- Awareness of the growing challenge of non-human identity: service accounts, API tokens, bot credentials, and the security risks they introduce as teams scale AI and automation workflows. Ability to position this as a near-term customer pain, even in SMB accounts.
- Working knowledge of modern sales qualification frameworks (e.g., MEDDPICC) is preferred. Training and enablement will be provided as part of ongoing development.
- A growth mindset and a genuine curiosity about the evolving identity and security landscape.
- Bonus: hands-on experience integrating 1Password or a secrets manager with a developer workflow, CI/CD tool, or automation platform (e.g., GitHub Actions, Zapier, n8n, Make, or similar).
What you can expect:
- Serve as the primary technical advisor for SMB sales opportunities within the Go-to-Market team.
- Partner with Account Executives to deliver scalable, impactful technical support throughout the sales cycle.
- Confidently position and demo all three core products, EPM, SaaS Manager, and Device Trust, as an integrated solution, articulating how they work together to reduce risk across users, apps, and devices. Connect these to the broader Unified Access vision for forward-looking customers.
- Support fast-paced, high-volume sales cycles with concise, effective technical guidance.
- Recommend and position tailored product solutions that align with SMB customer needs, goals, and common use cases.
- Run technical discovery with a range of stakeholders, from IT admins and security leads to developers and DevOps engineers, uncovering use cases around privileged access, SaaS shadow IT, unmanaged endpoints, and secrets for automation and AI workflows.
- Handle competitive situations involving PAM vendors (e.g., CyberArk, BeyondTrust), secrets management tools (e.g., HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager), and SaaS security platforms. Articulate 1Password's differentiated value for SMB teams who need enterprise-grade capabilities without enterprise-grade complexity.
- Partner with SMB reps to build their confidence in discussing product capabilities and navigating technical conversations.
- Proactively identify potential technical risks in deals and collaborate with Product and Support teams to resolve them.
- Uncover and qualify AI-related use cases during discovery, including how customers are managing secrets for developer tooling, automation workflows, and emerging AI agent infrastructure.
- Support proof-of-concept engagements that validate Secrets Automation use cases, including scenarios where customers are securing credentials for AI pipelines, developer environments, or cloud-native workloads.
- Collaborate with Sales Enablement and Product Marketing to create and improve internal resources such as objection handling guides, demo frameworks, and playbooks.
- Deliver product education to customers focusing on accessibility for non-technical or resource-constrained teams.
- Respond to vendor/risk assessments, RFPs/RFIs, security questionnaires, and other technical documentation requests as needed.
- Represent the team at select industry events and company/team offsites. Some travel may be required.

The Platform Auth team’s goal is to support our ‘one customer identity’ vision by providing tools, processes, and expertise for our engineering teams to create a unified access management experience while simplifying and standardizing engineering patterns in the space. We are looking for engineers to join our growing team!
What you will be doing:
- Design and build the platform services that power authentication, authorization, and audit across ClickHouse Cloud. This includes a unified RBAC/ReBAC service, token issuance and session handling, and the SDKs that product teams embed to make authorization decision.
- Model permissions and access control primitives (resources, roles, relationships, policies) that work across ClickHouse, SQL Console, ClickPipes, and HyperDX. Ship the libraries and APIs that other engineers build against.
- Implement protocol-level support for SAML, SCIM, OIDC, OAuth2, and MFA/passwordless flows. Own the integrations that make enterprise SSO and provisioning work end to end.
- Build the audit and authorization-decision telemetry pipeline so every access decision is observable, queryable, and surfaceable to customers.
- Partner with product engineering teams to migrate bespoke per-product auth implementations onto the shared platform, and design APIs that make adoption straightforward.
- Carry the platform on-call rotation and own production reliability for systems on the critical path of every customer request.
What you bring along:
- Minimum 4+ years building production backend systems at scale. Comfort with at least one systems language (Go, Rust, C++) and one application language (TypeScript, Python).
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing an authentication or authorization service. Examples include building a token issuer, an OIDC or OAuth2 provider, a policy engine, a permissions model, or an FGA/ReBAC system in the style of Zanzibar, OpenFGA, SpiceDB, or Cedar.
- Working knowledge of SAML, SCIM, OIDC, and OAuth2 at the protocol level and are able to implement them.
- Experience designing APIs and SDKs that other engineers depend on, with strong opinions on what makes them adoptable.
- Experience operating distributed systems at scale, including caching strategies, consistency tradeoffs, and multi-region concerns.
- Familiarity with identity vendors (Auth0, WorkOS, AWS/GCP/Azure IAM) as building blocks you've extended or integrated into a larger platform.
- Strong production debugging instincts and a high bar for systems that are easy to develop against.
Bonus:
- You've built or contributed to a Zanzibar-style authorization system, or run an OpenFGA or SpiceDB deployment beyond the demo.
- You've designed a multi-tenant permission model that survived real customer requirements like custom roles, hierarchies, delegation, and ABAC attributes.
- You've shipped an SDK that product teams across an org actually adopted, and have opinions about why most internal SDKs fail.
