We are building AI to simulate the world through merging art and science.
We believe that world models are at the frontier of progress in artificial intelligence. Language models alone won’t solve the world’s hardest problems – robotics, disease, scientific discovery. Real progress requires models that experience the world and learn from their mistakes, the same way that humans do. And this kind of trial and error can be massively accelerated when done in simulation, rather than in the real world.
World models offer the most clear path to general-purpose simulation, changing how stories are told, how scientific progress is made and how the next frontiers of humanity are reached.
Our team consists of creative, open minded, caring and ambitious people who are determined to change the world. We aspire to continuously build impossible things and our ability to do so relies on building an incredible team. If you are driven to do the same, we'd love to hear from you.
*Titles posted to our careers page are updated regularly to best advertise the role and expected seniority, but internally we have a flat titling system with two types of titles: one for individual contributors and one for people managers.
ABOUT THE ROLE
*Open to hiring remote across North America (west coast only) and the UK — we also have offices in San Francisco, Seattle, and London.
Japan has been one of Runway’s fastest-growing markets, even without a major commercial presence – it's our third-largest market among both enterprise and self-serve customers, and the fastest-growing self-serve market in Asia. In addition to millions of individual users, we've seen 300% growth in enterprise customers in the past 12 months, and Japan has driven a third of our sales volume in Asia overall.

You’ll work closely with our Sales and Account Management teams to convey the value of Runway to Enterprise prospects and customers, specifically in the Japan market. As a user of Runway yourself and a content creator, you will handle pre and post-sale work, ensuring that customers are using Runway to it’s full potential, as well as any creative work in the product, inclusive of media content, presets, featured workflows, etc. You’ll also have a hand in any marketing sprints for model and feature releases. This role requires full professional bilingual fluency in Japanese and English.
Things are always moving quickly at Runway. We need team members with an agile and dynamic mentality who are comfortable with change and always willing to go above and beyond to ensure a job is done optimally.
WHAT YOU’LL DO

- Craft content and lead demonstrations to show Enterprise prospects and customers how to leverage and utilize Runway most strategically
- Partner with our Sales and Creative teams to provide guidance and training to Enterprise prospects and customers.
- Highlight and explain common use cases and workflows for Enterprise organizations
- Serve as the day-to-day product expert for both pre and post sales conversations; help businesses understand the potential of utilizing Runway in their creative pipeline
- Be a champion for our customers and work with our internal teams to translate customer feedback into product insights; liaise between customers and our internal teams in order to provide the best support and experience possible
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Full professional bilingual fluency in Japanese and English
- Experience & expertise creating content from end to end
- Experience working with Japanese enterprises a plus
- Passion for experimentation when it comes to content creation and creative workflows- you care more about “how we get there” than “the destination”
- Comfort working with creative tools in addition to Runway (Adobe, DaVinci Resolve etc), as well as an understanding of our technical and competitive landscape
- You love sharing and presenting the things you’ve built
- Ability to deliver complex information to customers in a clear and concise way
- Ability to thrive in a constantly changing and growing environment
- Excitement about AI and motivation to continuously learn more about this new and exciting space!

- Collaborate with P/E/D/D (product, engineering, data and design) teams to develop product roadmaps and measure success
- Work closely with data engineering teams to capture, move, store, and transform raw data into highly actionable insights, and partner with business teams to turn those insights into action
WHAT YOU NEED
- Minimum of 4 years of industry experience as a Data Scientist
- Strong knowledge of SQL (preferably Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery) and how to write efficient SQL queries
- Familiarity with BI tools (preferably Looker, Omni, Sigma, Hex or equivalent) and experience distributing data insights via reports and dashboards
- Track record of shipping high quality products and features at scale
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly improving, start-up environment that focuses on solving problems with iterative technical solutions

- Experience with the modern data stack (Fivetran / Snowflake / dbt / Looker / Hightouch or equivalents)
- Strong perspective on analytics engineering development cycle (data modeling, version control, documentation + testing, best practices for codebase development)

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the Role
As Data Operations Manager, you'll build and scale data operations across research teams working on frontier AI capabilities. You'll partner with researchers to design and execute data strategies, manage vendor relationships, and own the entire data pipeline from requirements to production. This role requires operational excellence combined with technical depth to understand what makes high-quality training data, but your focus will be on strategy and execution.
About the Impact
The data operations you build will directly determine how well our models perform on critical capabilities—tool use accuracy, prompt injection robustness, long-horizon reasoning, and safety alignment. You'll work with world-class researchers advancing the frontier while building the operational infrastructure to scale these efforts.
We're looking for someone who gets excited about the challenge of scaling quality across diverse research areas—someone who can understand nuanced technical requirements, build the right partnerships, and execute flawlessly. If you thrive at the intersection of operational excellence and cutting-edge AI research, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
Own and execute data strategy for research teams advancing frontier AI capabilities across RLHF, safety, tool use, and agentic workflows
Drive strategic vendor partnerships and build scalable frameworks for technical data collection at scale
Design and implement operational systems that translate research requirements into high-quality data pipelines
Build evaluation frameworks and quality standards that ensure data meets the bar for training state-of-the-art AI systems
Lead cross-functional initiatives to optimize research velocity while maintaining rigorous quality standards
Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness across data operations
Partner with senior research leaders to align data operations with model development roadmaps and strategic priorities
You may be a good fit if you:
Have 3+ years in operations, consulting, product management, or program management roles
Have exceptional project management skills with ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously
Have strong communication skills and can engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Are familiar with how LLMs work or have strong interest in understanding AI training methodologies
Are highly organized and can navigate ambiguity effectively
Have experience with data analysis tools (SQL, Python, Tableau, spreadsheets, or similar)
Thrive in fast-paced research environments with shifting priorities
Are passionate about AI safety and understand the critical importance of high-quality data
Strong candidates may also have:
Experience with data collection, labeling, or annotation operations for AI/ML systems
Knowledge of RLHF, constitutional AI, or human-in-the-loop workflows
Background working with research teams at AI companies or research-oriented organizations
Experience managing vendor relationships or external contractors
Consulting background with experience translating complex requirements into deliverables
Track record of implementing process improvements or quality control systems at scale

Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study:
A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience:
Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Data Platform team owns the end-to-end data lifecycle at Perplexity, from ingestion through processing, storage, and serving, powering product features, analytics, experimentation, AI workloads, and the company’s data lake.
The team defines the architecture for batch and streaming systems, the orchestration and observability stack, and a self-serve data platform, while thoughtfully combining platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake with open-source technologies including Spark, Kafka, Flink, Airflow, Dagster, dbt, Iceberg, Delta Lake, and ClickHouse.
In this senior/staff role, you will shape architecture, set standards, and drive the long-term technical direction of Perplexity’s data ecosystem.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and operate large-scale batch and streaming data pipelines that directly power Perplexity product features, AI training and evaluation workflows, analytics, and experimentation.
- Build event-driven and streaming systems (Kafka, Kinesis, PubSub, or similar) for real-time ingestion, transformation, and delivery, alongside batch frameworks for backfills, aggregations, and offline computation.
- Lead the architecture of data orchestration using tools like Airflow or Dagster, owning scheduling, dependency management, retries, SLAs, and end-to-end observability for critical data flows.
- Set and enforce guarantees for data correctness, freshness, lineage, and recoverability, designing systems that handle rapid scale growth, partial failures, and evolving schemas without disrupting AI workloads or product experiences.
- Build self-serve data platforms that let engineers, data scientists, and analysts safely discover data, define contracts, and create and operate their own pipelines with minimal friction.
- Improve developer experience through better abstractions, opinionated paved paths, and standards for data modeling, testing, validation, and deployment, treating the data platform as a product used by many teams.
- Drive architectural decisions across storage, compute, orchestration, and data APIs, partnering closely with product engineering and data science to align the data ecosystem with Perplexity’s roadmap.
- Mentor engineers, review designs, and raise the technical bar for data infrastructure through thoughtful feedback, documentation, and hands-on collaboration.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years (Senior) or 8+ years (Staff) of software engineering experience.
- Strong experience building production data infrastructure systems.
- Hands-on experience with batch and/or streaming data processing at scale.
- Deep familiarity with data orchestration systems (Airflow, Dagster, or similar).
- Proficiency in Python and at least one additional backend language (Go, TypeScript, etc.).
- Strong systems thinking around reliability, latency, cost, and complexity tradeoffs.
- Experience supporting ML/AI workflows, training pipelines, or evaluation systems.
- Familiarity with data quality, lineage, observability, and governance tooling.
- Prior ownership of internal platforms used by many teams.
If you’re excited about this role, we encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn’t match every qualification listed above.

We're seeking an exceptional Research Scientist to join our Life Sciences team at Anthropic. Our team is building a world-class research group focused on making Claude a superhuman life sciences research assistant. This role sits at the intersection of machine learning, software engineering, and biology — you'll directly improve model capabilities on scientific tasks through post-training, evaluation design, and RL environment development.
As a core member of our Life Sciences team, you'll work in a high-impact team that translates deep biological domain knowledge into model training objectives, benchmarks, and agentic workflows. You'll help establish Anthropic as a leader in AI-accelerated biology while shaping how frontier models reason about and execute computational biology tasks.
This role offers a unique opportunity to shape how frontier AI models learn to do biology. You'll work alongside some of the world's best AI researchers while tackling problems that matter for human health and scientific understanding. If you're excited about turning your computational biology expertise into model capabilities, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Build and ship agentic tools and integrations that let Claude execute real life science workflows — bioinformatics pipelines, database queries, analysis notebooks, literature review
Design and build evaluation benchmarks that measure model capabilities on biology tasks — figure interpretation, bioinformatics, protocol reasoning, literature synthesis
Work closely with product and design teams to scope, prototype, and ship features for life sciences users
Partner with external biotech, pharma, and academic users to understand their workflows and turn feedback into product improvements
Build and maintain the engineering infrastructure behind our biology product surface — tool scaffolding, data pipelines, eval harnesses
Translate biological domain knowledge into product requirements and evaluation criteria that guide model improvement
Minimum Qualifications
Experience applying ML and software engineering to biological problems — computational biology, bioinformatics, protein ML, genomics, or similar
Experience working in drug discovery or development at a biotech or pharma company, or conducted fundamental research in an academic setting — with an understanding of what real scientific workflows look like and where they break down
Strong software engineering skills: comfortable building production-quality Python, working in large codebases, and owning infrastructure end-to-end
Hands-on experience training or fine-tuning ML models (LLMs, protein language models, or other deep learning architectures)
A track record of shipping computational tools or pipelines that biologists actually use
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and defining problems in a rapidly evolving research environment
Able to work independently while collaborating tightly with research, product, and domain-expert teams
Results-oriented with a bias toward rapid iteration and measurable impact
Passionate about using AI to accelerate scientific discovery while maintaining high ethical standards
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience applying ML and software engineering to biological problems — computational biology, bioinformatics, protein ML, genomics, or similar
Ph.D. in computational biology, bioinformatics, bioengineering, CS, or a related quantitative field — or equivalent industry experience
Experience with LLM post-training: RLHF, RL from verifiable rewards, SFT data curation, or eval-driven development
Direct experience with therapeutic discovery pipelines — target identification, lead optimization, ADMET modeling, or clinical data analysis
Familiarity with bioinformatics tooling and pipelines (sequence analysis, structure prediction, single-cell, variant calling, etc.)
Experience building agentic systems or tool-use environments
Published research in ML for biology, or open-source contributions to computational biology tools
Fluency with biological databases (UniProt, PDB, Ensembl, NCBI) and the ability to reason about their schemas and failure modes

The Computer Use team teaches Claude to see and operate computer interfaces, and builds the agent harness and end-user products that turn that capability into real tools. The team sits inside Anthropic's research organization and closes the loop between product and model.
As a Product Engineer on this team, you'll own end-to-end delivery of our computer-use and browser-control product surfaces. You'll build across the full stack, from the user interface to the agent runtime to the backend services behind it. You'll work directly alongside researchers, with no layers between you and the model or the user.
This is a dynamic role in which priorities evolve frequently. Success depends on a high tolerance for ambiguity, the adaptability to shift focus as needs change, and the agility and discernment to continuously prioritize the highest impact work.
Key responsibilities
Own end-to-end delivery of computer-use and browser-control product surfaces: scope, build, ship, measure, and iterate
Diagnose and resolve reliability and robustness issues in the computer-use agent harness that block real-world usage
Partner with computer-use researchers
Partner with the Claude Cowork team on shared surfaces, integrations, and knowledge-worker workflows
Instrument products and use usage data to drive prioritization and measure progress
Translate fuzzy user pain points into concrete, shippable features for knowledge workers
Minimum qualifications
Experience building and shipping a product from zero to one with end-to-end ownership, as a founding or early engineer at a startup or with equivalent ownership inside a larger company
Strong full-stack engineering skills, including production web frontend and backend development
Hands-on experience building with LLM APIs, prompting, or agent frameworks
A track record of shipping to external users and iterating based on their feedback
Preferred qualifications
Strong product design instincts and the ability to produce a clean, usable interface without a dedicated designer
Experience with browser automation, desktop automation, or robotic process automation systems
Experience building evals or quality harnesses for machine learning systems
Comfort with lightweight data analysis, such as SQL, notebooks, and defining and tracking product metrics
Experience designing agent loops, tool integrations, or guardrails for LLM-based systems
Representative projects
Own and resolve the top reliability and robustness issues on the computer-control and browser-control product surfaces, with measurable improvement in task success rate
Take a net-new computer-use powered workflow from concept to external users, including instrumentation and a readout on usage
