Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study:
A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience:
Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
Your safety matters to us.

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

ABOUT BASETEN
Baseten powers mission-critical inference for the world's most dynamic AI companies, like Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma, and Writer. By uniting applied AI research, flexible infrastructure, and seamless developer tooling, we enable companies operating at the frontier of AI to bring cutting-edge models into production. We're growing quickly and recently raised our $1.5B Series F https://www.baseten.co/blog/announcing-our-series-f/, led by Altimeter Capital, Conviction Partners, and Spark Capital. Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to ship AI products.
THE ROLE
At Baseten, we are building the global operating system for distributed, heterogeneous AI hardware. We believe that as LLM and multi-modal workloads scale, the network is the computer. We are looking for foundational engineers to lead our GPU Networking efforts, making RDMA a first-class building block in our infrastructure and unlocking the next generation of distributed inference optimizations.
Networking and compute are no longer separate disciplines; they are converging. The massive throughput of H100, B200, and NVL72 architectures enables and demands a new approach where communication is co-optimized alongside computation. We are entering an era where the network is an active accelerator, leveraging smart hardware offloads and direct interconnects to ensure that data movement operates at wire-speed.
In this role, you will go beyond network configuration to architect the software fabric that unifies thousands of GPUs into a cohesive operating system. While you will leverage the best of the open-source ecosystem, you won't be limited by it. Where off-the-shelf solutions stop, you will build from scratch, engineering the primitives required to co-optimize communication and compute for Disaggregated Serving, Wide Expert Parallelism (WideEP), and lightening cold starts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Make RDMA First-Class: You will work on integrating RDMA/RoCE/InfiniBand capabilities directly into our inference stack, helping us move beyond TCP/IP to unlock order-of-magnitude improvements in bandwidth and latency.
- Optimize Distributed Inference: You will implement and tune the networking layers necessary for efficient Disaggregated KV Cache Offload and WideEP, ensuring seamless communication across NVLink and InfiniBand for our MoE models.
- Enable Serverless-Grade Startup Speeds for LLMs: You will work deeply with checkpointing and storage mechanisms to enable sub-10-second startup for trillion-parameter models.
- Deep-Dive into Hardware: You will characterize and validate networking performance on bleeding-edge clusters (H100/H200, B200/B300, GB200/300 NVL72), writing the acceptance tests that ensure our hardware delivers peak achievable throughput and minimal latency.
- Build Observability: You will design the tools that let us visualize packet flow, congestion, and effective bandwidth across the GPU interconnects, helping us diagnose complex distributed system behaviors.
- Optimize Kernels: You will work with communication libraries (NCCL, NVSHMEM) and potentially write custom communication kernels to overlap compute and data transfer.
REQUIREMENTS
- You have deep experience with high-performance networking protocols (InfiniBand, RoCE v2) and understand the physics of data movement.
- You are fluent in C++ or Python, with the ability to bridge the gap between high-level logic and hardware. You have a deep understanding of the memory hierarchy in modern NVIDIA architectures (H100/Blackwell) and know how to optimize for it.
- You like going deep. You aren't afraid to dive into TensorRT-LLM source code, write custom C++ / Python bindings, or debug NVLink topology issues.
- You know when to use an off-the-shelf solution and when we need to build a custom solution because the upstream tools (like standard Kubernetes networking) are too slow for our needs.
NICE TO HAVE
- Deep knowledge of NCCL, NVSHMEM, and UCX.
- Experience with Rust for systems-level or performance-critical networking code is a strong plus
- Experience with GPUDirect Storage (GDS) or high-performance filesystems like Weka or 3FS.
- Familiarity with TensorRT-LLM, vLLM, or SGLang.
- Experience running low-level benchmarks to "qualify" new hardware clusters.
THE TEAM
- Bleeding Edge Hardware: We are preparing to bring Blackwell (B200/B300) and then Rubin architectures online. You will be one of the first engineers in the industry optimizing networking for NVL72/GB300 racks.
- We go deep: We operate at every depth. Whether it’s tuning hardware interconnects, writing custom communication kernels, or designing distributed inference strategies, we work across the entire stack to deliver performance that goes far and beyond.
- High Impact: The networking optimizations you build will directly enable features that no one else in the industry has fully mastered yet, like seamless multi-node WideEP and instant model hydration.
BENEFITS
- Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
- (U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents
- Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!)
- Paid parental leave
- Fertility and family-building stipend through Carrot
- (U.S. only) Company-facilitated 401(k)
- Exposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities.
Apply now to embark on a rewarding journey in shaping the future of AI! If you are a motivated individual with a passion for machine learning and a desire to be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team, we would love to hear from you.
At Baseten, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. ABOUT US
At LangChain, our mission is to make intelligent agents ubiquitous. We build the foundation for agent engineering in the real world, helping developers move from prototypes to production-ready AI agents that teams can rely on. We began as widely adopted open-source tools and have grown to also offer a platform for building, evaluating, deploying, and operating agents at scale.
With $125M raised at Series B from IVP, Sequoia, Benchmark, CapitalG, and Sapphire Ventures, we’re at a stage where we’re continuing to develop new products, growth is accelerating, and all team members have meaningful impact on what we build and how we work together. LangChain is a place where your contributions can shape how this technology shows up in the real world.
Today, our platform includes LangSmith (Observability, Evaluation, Deployment, Fleet, and Sandboxes), our open source frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, and Deep Agents), and the newly launched LangSmith Engine for autonomous agent improvement. We have 100M+ monthly open source downloads, 6,000+ active LangSmith customers, and 5 of the Fortune 10 use LangSmith in production (+ 35% of the Fortune 500 overall), including teams at Klarna, Clay, Coinbase, Workday, Lyft, Cloudflare, Harvey, Rippling, Vanta, LinkedIn, Monday.com, Nvidia, and Bridgewater.
About the Role: We are looking for an GTM Engineer where you won’t just be using our tools—you’ll be the "First Customer," building the AI-native systems that power our technical support, onboarding, and customer success engines.
You will own the technical roadmap for how LangChain supports its users. Your goal is to drive massive case deflection and a premium onboarding experience by building autonomous agents that solve complex technical problems before a human ever needs to step in. This is a role for a builder-operator who can identify a friction point in the customer journey and ship a production-grade agentic solution to fix it.
YOU WILL:
- Architect Customer Agents: Design and deploy production-grade agents (using LangGraph and LangSmith) that handle technical support queries, troubleshoot integrations, and guide users through complex onboarding flows.
- Drive Case Deflection: Analyze customer friction points and build self-service AI systems that significantly reduce support volume while improving the quality of the customer experience.
- Own the Domain: Act as the product owner and the technical muscle proactively identifying opportunities for improvement, propose architectures, and own the full lifecycle of the systems you build.
- Dogfood the Stack: Be a key member of the feedback loop for our product team. As you build complex systems for our customers, you’ll identify gaps in our frameworks and contribute back to the LangChain and LangGraph open-source ecosystem.
- Build Onboarding Workflows: Develop "AI-native onboarding" experiences that help enterprise customers move from prototypes to production faster by automating documentation retrieval and code generation.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- AI-Native Developer: You have a deep understanding of the LLM stack: prompting, retrieval (RAG), cognitive architectures, and agentic loops. You have likely already built with LangChain or LangGraph.
- Engineering Foundation: You are a strong software engineer (typically 3+ years) with at least 1 year of experience specifically shipping LLM systems in production.
- Self-Directed "Founder" Mentality: You don't need a ticket to tell you what to fix. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity, identifying high-impact problems, and driving them to completion autonomously.
- Full-Stack Capability: Strong coding skills in Python or TypeScript (ideally both) and the ability to build end-to-end applications.
- Customer-Centric: You enjoy the intersection of high-level engineering and direct customer impact. You can translate a customer's technical pain point into a scalable system architecture.
Nice to Haves:
- Expertise with LangSmith for evaluation and monitoring.
- Experience building or maintaining open-source projects.
- A background in technical consulting, solutions engineering, or high-growth GTM teams.
Compensation:
- We offer competitive compensation that includes base salary, meaningful equity, benefits, and perks. Benefits include things like medical, dental, and vision coverage, flexible vacation, a 401(k) plan, and life insurance.
- Salary: $160K - $180K
Compensation Philosophy:
We offer competitive compensation that includes base salary, variable compensation for relevant roles, meaningful equity, benefits, and perks.
We are hiring for this role across a range of scope, and the compensation band reflects that. Your offer depends on what we learn about your impact, craft, leadership, and communication during the interview process. We will tell you early where you’re tracking and talk comp with you before offer stage. Team members in the EU, UK, and APAC receive locally competitive benefits aligned with regional norms and regulations.
BENEFITS
Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, flexible vacation, a 401(k) plan, meals on in-office days in the US and more.

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the Role
Anthropic's Infrastructure organization is foundational to our mission of developing AI systems that are reliable, interpretable, and steerable. The systems we build determine how quickly we can train new models, how reliably we can run safety experiments, and how effectively we can scale Claude to millions of users — demonstrating that safe, reliable infrastructure and frontier capabilities can go hand in hand.
Developer Productivity owns the end-to-end experience of how engineers and researchers at Anthropic develop, build, test, and ship code at scale — from the source control and language ecosystems that underpin our monorepo, to the build and CI infrastructure that keeps thousands of daily builds running reliably across multiple cloud providers, to the developer acceleration tooling that deeply integrates Claude into engineering workflows.
Team Matching: Team matching is determined after the interview process based on interview performance, interests, and business priorities. Please note we may also consider you for different Infrastructure teams.
Responsibilities:
Own the technical strategy and roadmap for your area, translating team-level goals into concrete execution plans
Define infrastructure architecture, ensuring the hardest problems get solved — whether by you directly or by working through others
Design and build scalable, reliable distributed infrastructure and shared libraries that support high-volume workloads across all engineering teams
Own and evolve build environments, package management, and dependency systems to enable fast, reproducible builds
Define and implement language ecosystem standards, tooling, and frameworks that drive developer productivity across research and production workloads
You may be a good fit if you:
Have deep experience with build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and/or developer tooling in a large monorepo environment
Have strong proficiency in Python, Rust and/or Go
Are obsessed with developer productivity and reducing friction in the software development lifecycle
Have experience with container orchestration and infrastructure at scale
Have excellent communication skills and enjoy supporting internal partners to improve their development experience
Are excited about designing foundational systems and are comfortable working independently on ambiguous, high-impact technical challenges
Strong candidates may have:

3+ years (not including internships or co-ops) of experience leading large scale complex projects or teams as a tech lead
Experience with CI orchestration tools (Buildkite, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar) and merge queue management at scale
Experience building or operating remote build execution systems (Bazel Remote Execution API, BuildBarn, BuildBuddy, or similar)
Experience with Nix/NixOS/Docker and managing large image / package sets at scale
Experience building CLI tools, developer-facing services, and GitHub API and automation workflows
Deadline to apply: None. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

In case you hadn’t noticed, Anthropic is growing fast. Really, really fast. The People Products team exists to support Anthropic’s mission by defining the blueprint for AI at work. We help hire the best person in the world for every job, ensure manager effectiveness, ramp new hires successfully, and ensure that we apply first principles thinking in how we shape Anthropic’s culture through the tools we build. We cover the entire employee lifecycle from hiring to onboarding, teamwork, and promotions.
You’ll work directly with Claude, with access to capabilities no external team has, on problems that are genuinely unsolved. You’ll move fast — prototype to production in days or weeks. We believe in cross-functional thinkers who can reason across product, design, and engineering. You’ll be given high autonomy, own your decisions, and ship constantly. If you’ve experienced the pain of bad people practices and want to be the person who fixes them at the most consequential AI company in the world, this is that job.
Responsibilities
Build full-stack end-to-end across the People Products portfolio.
Design and implement AI-native workflows: build tools, evals, prompts, and products. You’ll help define what is possible in applied AI for people processes.
Work directly with internal stakeholders — HR teams, recruiters, managers — to understand problems, gather feedback, and iterate quickly without waiting for requirements to be handed down. No gatekeeping, you are expected to talk to your customers.
Make product and architecture decisions independently in a low-structure environment: knowing when to cut scope, when to ship, and when to ask for input.
Contribute ideas for how the team works, what it builds, and where applied AI can have the most leverage in people workflows.
You Might Be a Good Fit If You:
Have 8+ years of relevant experience as a Fullstack or product engineer, with a track record of leading complex, multi-month projects or teams as a tech lead or equivalent
Have shipped LLM-native features or applications.
Derive joy from hard work and the act of creation.
Are experienced enough to build big features independently, and make great architectural decisions along the way.
Are self-sufficient end-to-end: you can go from idea to production without needing a designer, PM, or architect to unblock you.
Move fast without cutting corners: you hold a high quality bar and know how to make smart tradeoffs under time pressure.
Engage directly with users and criticism: you’re comfortable talking to internal customers, hearing hard feedback, and incorporating it quickly.
Are genuinely mission-driven: you care about the intersection of AI and people practices, not just the technical puzzle.
Are a collaborative, supportive teammate: you bring people along, communicate clearly about tradeoffs, and make the people around you better.
Strong Candidates May Also Have:
Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or prior experience building Claude or LLM integrations in production.
Background at an AI-native company or in a product-focused 0->1 engineering environment.
Experience with HR tech platforms such as Greenhouse, Workday, or Rippling.

If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
