- Support accounting readiness and UAT for new products, pricing structures, billing models, and partner / channel launches
- Improve and automate recurring revenue processes, reconciliations, documentation, and exception reporting as the business scales
REQUIREMENTS

- Strong systems proficiency; Stripe, Metronome, HubiFi or a comparable revenue recognition tool preferred
BONUS:
- Experience with consumption/usage-based and subscription billing models

Workplace: Hybrid
Team: Accounting Core
Location / work arrangement: San Francisco, San Mateo and Seattle (Hybrid)
Employment type: Full Time
About the Role
Xero’s ledger is the source of truth for millions of businesses, and every product we ship is built on top of it. We are rebuilding this integrity layer for the next 20 years, and we are standing up the Vancouver engineering hub around it from day one. As Lead Engineer, you will make the architectural decisions that set the course for the platform and the team, and you will see those decisions reach every customer who depends on Xero to get their numbers right.
THE TECHNICAL CHALLENGES
- Correctness at scale. Accounting data has to be consistent, auditable, and immutable. There is no “close enough,” and every change to the ledger has to preserve that guarantee across regions and regulations.
- Evolving a mature system. We are adding real-time expectations to a platform that millions of businesses depend on daily. That means strengthening service boundaries and clarifying data contracts without compromising reliability.
- Durable, high-throughput services. We use durable execution (for example, Temporal) to keep long-running financial workflows accurate and recoverable under load.
- AI-ready data. We are structuring accounting data so it can power AI-native experiences while maintaining trust in the numbers.
IMPACT
- First six months: You understand the ledger and its consumers, align the team on service boundaries and data contracts, and ship a first modernization increment with no loss of data integrity.
- First twelve months:
- You have set the architecture for the core accounting capabilities (general ledger, journals, chart of accounts, multi-currency).
- The Vancouver engineering team has clear ownership and quality standards, thanks in part to your leadership and role modeling.
- Your work reaches customers through every product built on the ledger, and the decisions made now will shape Xero for years.
OWNERSHIP
You will own the technical direction for your area of the accounting platform, from design through production and on-call. You will make architectural decisions on service boundaries, data contracts, and technology choices without needing sign-off, and you will be accountable for reliability and data integrity end to end. You will also help set hiring, quality, and ownership practices for an early and growing team, which will compound over time.
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
Bernardo Farah is the Director of Engineering for Accounting Core. He has over 10 years of SaaS software experience, including six years building platforms and growing teams at Samsara.
WHAT YOU BRING
MUST-HAVE:
- You set the standard for your team in AI-assisted development, operational excellence, and flexible architecture.
- A track record delivering highly available, distributed backend systems and designing high-throughput services under production constraints.
- Depth in system architecture, API design, and both SQL and NoSQL databases
- Proficiency in a modern backend stack such as C#, Java, Go, or C++, plus cloud-native platforms like AWS.
- You demonstrate strong ability in breaking down complex problems into clear, actionable solutions while driving agile execution to deliver results.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience with financial, ledger, or accounting systems, or other domains where data integrity is critical
- Experience with durable execution or workflow engines such as Temporal
- Experience modernizing a mature system without disrupting customers
HOW WE WORK
Process is a tool for impact and we adjust accordingly. We use an agile approach to ship outcomes, not to follow ceremony. Code and design reviews are where we trade ideas and hold the quality bar, and we are figuring out how to use LLMs to reduce how much code humans have to write and review by hand. Our on-call rotation draws on a healthy pool of engineers and turns incidents into learning through postmortems. Decisions are made at every level, and we make sure everyone has the strategic context to raise proposals and drive innovation.
Our Hiring Process
- Stage 1: Real World coding assessment, 45 Mins
- Stage 2: Systems Design assessment, 45 Mins
- Stage 3: Technical Deep dive, 60 Mins
- Stage 4: Values/ Future Proof, 60 Mins
- Stage 5: Leadership interview, 60 mins
Apply even if your experience isn't a perfect match! At Xero, we hire based on your skills, passion, and the unique perspective you can bring to enhance our culture and team. We are also tech stack agnostic, so please apply if you've worked with adjacent technologies.
Compensation Philosophy
At Xero, we value the impact and skills you bring to the team. We don’t just hire for a role; we invest in people. We believe in a Total Package philosophy - which means your value isn't just a single number on a paycheck. While base salary is a core component, we look at your compensation through a holistic lens that includes equity, performance incentives, and world-class benefits.
The base salary range for this role in $206,000 to $260,000 USD
Please note that this range represents base salary only. We believe in rewarding our people for their total contribution, which is why we look at compensation through a holistic lens. In addition to base pay, your total package may include:
- Variable Pay: Eligibility commissions or equity based on role and performance.
- Comprehensive Benefits: World-class health, wellness, and retirement programs.
- Xero Perks: Inside Xero https://careers.xero.com/inside-xero/benefits-wellbeing/ Explore our full suite of benefits, from wellbeing initiatives to professional development.
Individual pay is determined by various factors, including geography, level of experience, and the specific skills you bring to the role
Xero uses AI to help screen applications based on job-related qualifications. These tools assist our recruiters but do not make automated hiring decisions. A human recruiter reviews all candidates before any hiring action is taken.

Our Global Structure
Deliveroo is now part of DoorDash, bringing together teams with even greater reach, scale, and ambition. Depending on your role, you may collaborate with teammates, systems, and leaders across DoorDash and Wolt. Together, we’re unlocking new possibilities as one global team.
Role overview
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help build and evolve our new Common case-management system, which powers support-case handling across DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo.
You will own significant end-to-end initiatives across our backend services: case lifecycle, routing and assignment, queue management, case evidence and history, and migration from legacy systems. This is a hands-on role for someone who can turn ambiguous customer and operational problems into durable technical solutions, coordinate other engineers, and set the standard for reliability and craftsmanship on the team.
What you’ll do
Lead one or more project-level Case Management initiatives, on your own or by guiding a group of engineers, from discovery and design through rollout, measurement, and operational ownership.
Design and build scalable backend services and APIs for case creation, routing, assignment, transfers, audit history, notes, attachments, and queue-management workflows.
Help deliver feature parity with legacy platforms while safely migrating traffic across DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo.
Make and own most technical decisions within your scope. Write project-level design documents covering how sub-features interact, identify dependencies and risks, and break work into parallelizable delivery plans.

ABOUT RAMP
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $275B in annualized spend flows in and out of 85,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 7.5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Ramp is hiring its first dedicated Physical Security Lead to build and run the program that protects our people, our leaders, our events, and our offices. Our footprint now spans a multi-floor New York headquarters, Ramp-managed offices, and a growing set of hubs across North America and Europe. Our leaders are increasingly visible on public stages.
You'll own three areas in roughly equal measure: executive protection, event security, and office security (access control, cameras, guards, and building security). Your job is to turn a set of strong vendors and partner teams into one measurable, risk-based program.
This is a high-ownership IC role on the Corporate Security team. It reports to the Director of IT & Corporate Security and is based at our NYC HQ. This is a physical security role; cybersecurity and information security are owned by other Ramp security teams. We aren't looking for a guard supervisor or a box-checker. We want someone who makes it safe for Ramp to move fast, host great events, and keep our leaders accessible.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and run Ramp's executive protection program:
- Protective risk assessments and residential security reviews.
- Domestic and international travel security.
- Advance work for high-visibility appearances.
- Selecting, standing up, and managing our executive protection provider.
- Turn threat intelligence into protective action. Partner with Detection & Response to move from online threat and exposure monitoring to threat assessments, personal-information exposure reduction, and clear escalation playbooks.
- Own security for internal and external events, from all-hands and offsites to conferences, customer events, and executive dinners:
- Risk-tiered intake and written security plans.
- Coordination with venues and vendors.
- On-site leadership for the highest-risk events.
- After-action reviews.
- Set Ramp's global physical security standards for access control, video surveillance, intercoms, visitor management, and alarm monitoring. Tier them for headquarters, Ramp-managed offices, and flexible or serviced hub spaces.
- Build security into every new office, move, and expansion:
- Write the security design requirements and review drawings.
- Manage integrators through installation and acceptance testing.
- Partner with IT on network and identity integration.
- Manage the guard program and security vendors end to end: scope, post orders, SLAs and KPIs, budget, and quarterly business reviews. Own the security relationship with landlords and building management.
- Lead emergency preparedness and physical incident response:
- Emergency notifications, evacuation and shelter-in-place plans, and drills.
- Liaison with local law enforcement.
- Workplace-violence prevention, in partnership with People and Legal.
- Run physical access governance with IT. Tie access to joiner/mover/leaver events, run regular access reviews, and keep audit-ready evidence for physical security controls.
- Measure and report program health to leadership. Use AI and automation to scale the program without scaling headcount.
WHAT YOU NEED
- 6+ years in corporate or physical security, including 3+ years owning a security program or major workstream at a multi-site company. Executing someone else's program doesn't count toward this.
- Hands-on depth in at least two of the three areas (executive protection, event security, physical security systems such as access control and cameras) and solid working knowledge of the third.
- Experience administering or deploying enterprise access control and video platforms (e.g., Avigilon Alta/Openpath, Verkada, Genetec, LenelS2), and partnering with IT on networking and SSO.
- A track record of managing security vendors (guard, protection, integrator, event staffing) through contracts, SLAs, budgets, and performance reviews.
- Strong risk judgment. You size controls to the actual threat, explain the tradeoffs, and lead with "here's how we do this safely" rather than "no."
- Excellent writing. You can produce a crisp SOP, an event security plan, and a one-page executive brief.
- Willingness to work from our NYC office 4 days a week, travel 10–15%, support occasional evening and weekend events, and serve as primary on-call for physical security incidents (with the Director as backup and guard and vendor partners as on-site first response).
- Real, day-to-day use of AI tools in your work.
NICE-TO-HAVES
- ASIS CPP or PSP; formal executive protection training; first aid or Stop the Bleed certification.
- Experience at a high-growth tech, fintech, or financial services company with a high-profile founder or CEO.
- Experience writing security design standards for office buildouts and reading architectural or low-voltage drawings.
- Familiarity with physical and environmental control requirements in SOC 2, PCI DSS, or FedRAMP.
- A government protective, law enforcement, or military background, combined with corporate program ownership.
- An established network of protection, event security, and integrator vendors in NYC, SF, and internationally.
FAIR WARNING
- This is a builder role. Parts of the program exist today (vendors, a responsibility matrix, some SOPs). You'll turn them into a system.
- You're an IC who directs vendors and partner teams, not a manager of a security staff. You'll need to influence Workplace, Events, IT, Executive Assistants, People, and Legal without formal authority.
- Security at Ramp enables the business. Events still happen, offices stay welcoming, and executives stay accessible. Your job is to make that safe.
- Evenings, weekends, and travel come with the territory, especially around major events.
BENEFITS AVAILABLE TO ALL FULL-TIME RAMP EMPLOYEES (GLOBAL)
- Flexible PTO
- Centralized home-office equipment ordering
- Health and wellness stipend
- Budget for intra-office travel
- Weekly coffee stipend

With 20 offices across six continents and London as our HQ, we’re shaping the future of fintech – and we’re just getting started.
THE ROLE
Checkout.com http://Checkout.com is looking for an enthusiastic Engineer I to join Finance Technology with a focus on Workday Adaptive Planning. Adaptive Planning supports finance, workforce, sales, and operational planning, giving teams a shared platform for budgeting, forecasting, modelling, reporting, and decision-making.
This is an early-career engineering role for someone who wants to build depth in finance systems, application configuration, data integration, and operational support. You will work with Finance, Finance Technology, Data, and wider Corporate Technology teams to keep planning processes reliable, well-controlled, and easy to operate.
You will have support from more senior engineers for complex design decisions, but you will be expected to work independently for longer periods on well-defined configuration, integration, support, and continuous-improvement tasks. This reflects Checkout’s Engineer 1 expectations: delivering small-to-medium-sized work, supporting common operational flows, communicating clearly, and taking ownership of the quality of what you deliver.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Configure, maintain, and enhance Adaptive Planning models, dimensions, versions, levels, accounts, sheets, reports, dashboards, and planning workflows under appropriate guidance.
- Support the delivery of budgeting, forecasting, headcount planning, scenario modelling, and management reporting capabilities for Finance and business stakeholders.
- Build and support data loads and integrations between Adaptive Planning, Workday Financials, Workday HCM, and other approved internal or third-party systems.
- Maintain data mappings, transformation rules, validation checks, and reconciliation processes so that planning data is complete, accurate, and traceable.
- Monitor scheduled loads and integration tasks, investigate failures, and resolve common data or configuration issues within agreed service levels.
- Triage incidents and service requests, identifying root causes and escalating complex or high-risk issues with clear evidence and recommended next steps.
- Partner with Finance stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into maintainable system configuration, reporting, or integration changes.
- Contribute to the assessment and delivery of future analytics data flows, including the potential use of Adaptive Planning data in BigQuery and management analytics.
- Participate in testing, regression testing, release preparation, and controlled deployment of Adaptive Planning changes.
- Follow change-control, access-management, data-quality, and audit requirements relevant to financial systems and planning data.
- Create clear documentation, support guides, data dictionaries, integration runbooks, and knowledge-base articles so that operational knowledge is shared rather than held by one person.
- Identify recurring manual work or failure patterns and propose practical automation and process improvements.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Experience in a finance systems, enterprise applications, data, reporting, or integration environment.
- Practical experience with Workday Adaptive Planning, or strong experience with a comparable planning, performance-management, ERP, or finance application and a clear ability to learn Adaptive quickly.
- Understanding of core finance planning concepts such as budgets, forecasts, actuals, variance analysis, allocations, dimensions, hierarchies, and scenarios.
- Experience configuring or supporting structured data models, application workflows, reports, dashboards, or business rules.
- Ability to work with data imports, exports, mappings, transformations, validations, and reconciliations.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to break down an issue, gather evidence, identify likely causes, and communicate findings clearly.
- Good attention to detail and an understanding of why accuracy, access control, auditability, and repeatability matter in finance systems.
- Ability to manage small-to-medium-sized tasks independently while knowing when to ask for help or escalate.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with Finance and Technology stakeholders.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
- Workday Adaptive Planning certification or implementation experience.
- Experience with Adaptive Planning Integration, Planning Data Loader, APIs, or equivalent enterprise planning integration tooling.
- Experience integrating planning systems with Workday Financials, Workday HCM, an ERP, a data warehouse, or a reporting platform.
- Familiarity with SOX controls, financial audit requirements, data privacy, and segregation of duties.
- Experience supporting month-end, budget, forecast, or management-reporting cycles.
- Exposure to Agile delivery, ticket-driven change management, incident management, or service-management practices.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
After the first 6–12 months, you will be able to:
- Support common Adaptive Planning configuration, data-load, and reporting requests with limited supervision.
- Diagnose and resolve routine integration or data-quality issues using a structured troubleshooting approach.
- Deliver small-to-medium-sized enhancements from requirement clarification through testing, documentation, and controlled release.
- Explain key planning data flows, mappings, dependencies, and operational controls to Finance and Technology colleagues.
- Improve the reliability or efficiency of at least one recurring planning or finance-technology process.
- Maintain accurate, useful documentation and contribute positively to team ceremonies, reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
WORKING STYLE AND BEHAVIOURS
We are looking for someone who:
- Takes ownership of tasks and follows through on commitments.
- Acts with urgency and accountability when issues affect Finance or business reporting.
- Is curious about how finance processes, data, and technology fit together.
- Communicates clearly, especially when explaining risk, blockers, trade-offs, or support impact.
- Welcomes feedback and actively develops their technical and domain knowledge.
- Collaborates generously and shares knowledge so the team does not depend on a single subject-matter expert.
- Looks for durable automation and simpler operating processes rather than repeatedly working around the same manual problem.
WHY JOIN FINANCE TECHNOLOGY?
You will work on systems that sit at the centre of how Checkout.com http://Checkout.com plans, forecasts, reports, and makes financial decisions. The role offers the opportunity to develop a broad foundation across enterprise applications, finance processes, integrations, data quality, controls, and automation while working closely with experienced Finance and Technology professionals.

Reporting directly to the REW Finance Manager (Talia Young), you will own PO QA and lifecycle operations, accruals and month-end support, GL drill-throughs for Budget vs Actuals (BvA) commentary, and vendor spend visualizations. You’ll partner closely with Leasing, Workplace Ops, Design & Construction, Workplace Experience, Sourcing, and P2P — and you’ll be expected to roll up your sleeves and deliver high-quality, defensible analysis and clean data.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- PO lifecycle & ZIP power-user: Validate chart of accounts, budget availability, REW PO line descriptions, start/end dates; help manage REW POs through the PO creation/change order process in ZIP.
- Accruals & month-end: Assist with month end close; Identify POs that require accruals, collect/validate accrual inputs from owners, prepare accrual backup, input/maintain accrual details in the stratfin file, and reconcile reversals when invoices arrive.
- GL drill-through & BvA commentary: Perform transaction-level GL investigations to find root causes of variances, compile support, and prepare concise, stakeholder-ready variance narratives.
- Vendor invoice & spend visualization: Build and maintain vendor-level dashboards and quick visualizations showing spend trends, aged liabilities, and problem areas.
- Data management & actualize files: Maintain and “actualize” REW files (budget skeletons, accrual trackers, PO registers), ensure data hygiene and version control.
- Budget and forecast cycle support: Enhance budget and forecast templates and automate where possible. Collect and review submissions in detail.
- Technology & automation: Bring a technology-first mindset — prototype small automation/AI agent solutions to reduce manual work (e.g., PO QA checks, GL reconciliation assistants).
- Partnering & follow-up: Recurring operational check-ins with stakeholders as it relates to budget/forecast updates and ensuring operations running smoothly from a financial perspective.
MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience.
- 4-6+ years relevant experience in FP&A/ corporate finance / finance operations
- Practical, hands-on accruals experience (monthly accruals, prepayments, reversals).
- Demonstrated experience with PO lifecycle and PO system operations
- Strong experience performing GL drill-throughs and tracing transactions to source documentation.
- Advanced Google Sheets / Excel modeling skills
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce defensible, audit-ready work.
- Strong partnership and communication skills — able to extract needed information from stakeholders and drive action.
NICE-TO-HAVE
- Experience with NetSuite, Workday, Oracle, or other ERPs.
- Dashboarding experience (Tableau)
- Prior exposure to real estate, construction, workplace operations, or global food/amenities spend.
- Demonstrated experience prototyping small automations or AI agents to accelerate work.
SOFT SKILLS / COMPETENCIES
- Extremely detail-oriented and process disciplined.
- Independent problem solver who can escalate appropriately.
- Strong prioritization and time management under competing deadlines.
- Curious and technology-forward — comfortable testing small automation/agent ideas.
- Partnership-first: builds rapport quickly and communicates clearly with non-finance stakeholders.

You'll own Figma's security compliance, risk management, and governance strategy end to end - setting direction for our certification portfolio, building the risk and controls frameworks that scale with our growing business and product suite, and representing GRC to executives, the board, customers, and regulators. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll manage and grow a team of GRC professionals while staying close to the programs, infrastructure, audits, and cross-functional relationships needed to both protect and enable the business.
If you're a strategist and team builder who is excited to scale Figma's GRC program in a rapidly evolving environment, we'd love to hear from you!
This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.
What you'll do at Figma:

Manage relationships with external auditors, assessors, and regulators, and oversee audit cycles from planning through remediation
Direct the selection and optimization of GRC platforms and tooling, and maintain the lifecycle of security policies, standards, and procedures
Partner with Sales, Legal, and Customer Trust on security questionnaires, customer audits, contracts, and trust-related communications that support the sales lifecycle
Scale enterprise risk reporting and report on program health, risk posture, and audit readiness to executive and board-level audiences
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
10+ years of experience in information security, compliance, or risk management, including at least 4 years leading or managing a GRC, security, or compliance team
Deep, hands-on experience with frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001, including leading programs through multiple audit cycles
A track record of building GRC programs from the ground up or scaling them through high-growth stages, ideally at a SaaS or platform company, including experience operating in a public company environment with SOX ITGC requirements
Executive presence and exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to build cross-functional partnerships across Security, Legal, IT, Sales, and Engineering and translate technical risk into business terms for executives, the board, and customers
Experience implementing compliance programs for emerging products, including AI-enabled products, with a strong understanding of cloud-based technologies and their GRC implications, and a builder's mindset comfortable with ambiguity as the program scales
While it's not required, it's an added plus if you also have:
Supported FedRAMP authorization, SSP development, 3PAO coordination, or continuous monitoring activities
Experience with global privacy and data protection regulations, such as GDPR or NIS2
Security or risk certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, or CRISC
Hands-on experience implementing or administering GRC platforms such as Vanta, Drata, or similar tools
Experience presenting to boards, steering committees, and audit committees
