MEET THE TEAM 👥
Here at Cleo we have team of ~135 member in our Borrow Pillar and ~8 dedicated to Credit Policy and Analytics. This function brings together several specialisms, all working toward managing portfolio performance; designing the systems, models, and controls that make lending sustainable. They drive to build and grow a portfolio of responsible EWA & Pay Later products that can scale across markets while protecting users from high cost debt trap.
ABOUT THE ROLE ✍️
We're hiring a Head of Data Science to lead credit performance measurement and monitoring within our Risk & Payments pillar. This is a player-coach role: you'll manage a team of Credit Data Scientists and Analysts, splitting your time between hands-on analysis and leading the team - setting direction, developing people, and owning the function's output.
You'll own the frameworks and metrics that keep our credit products healthy, and drive the deep-dive analyses that explain performance shifts and turn them into action. Key areas of impact:
- Own credit performance measurement - design and maintain Cleo's risk metric framework (arrears, default, yield, LTV, marginal loss), and the dashboards/alerts that catch arrears spikes, roll-rate shifts, and decisioning anomalies early.
- Bridge model health and business decisions - partner with Risk Modelling to translate model metrics (AUC, PSI, calibration, drift) into policy and product recommendations, and diagnose whether performance moves are model-driven, macro, or operational.
- Lead root-cause analysis - own investigations end-to-end (question → analysis → recommendation) on issues like arrears spikes or yield compression, using driver analysis (SHAP, feature importance, decomposition), and present findings to Risk, Product, and Leadership.
- Support policy and decisioning - work with Credit Policy and Decision Science to build evaluation frameworks for policy changes, quantify their marginal impact, and support elasticity/profitability modelling on pricing and limits.
- Manage and develop a team - directly manage Credit Data Scientists and Analysts: set priorities, manage performance, and grow the team, not just direct project work.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR 🕵️
- Strong SQL and Python skills, comfortable working directly from the warehouse
- Track record owning analyses end-to-end - from framing the question to shipping a recommended change
- Hands-on experience with predictive models (credit, fraud, or similar), fluent in AUC/Gini, calibration, PSI/CSI, and drift
- Fluency in credit portfolio metrics (arrears buckets, roll rates, loss rate, yield/marginal loss) and how they tie to unit economics
- Experience directly managing analysts or data scientists - priorities, performance, and people development
- Nice to have: experience with short-term or revolving credit products
- Nice to have: experience with both UK and US regulatory frameworks
WHAT WE OFFER

Build shift-left guardrails, such as static analysis checks and schema-change-time enforcement, that catch unsustainable data growth patterns before they reach production.
Collaborate closely with product management, UX, frontend, infrastructure, software delivery, and analytics teams to design and ship high-performing solutions
Review and improve database-related changes from other engineers and community contributors, ensuring data integrity, safety, and performance across all deployment scenarios.
Design, build, and maintain tooling such as SQL traffic replay and background operations frameworks to proactively surface and address scalability and performance issues.
Research, design, and implement improvements to data retention and lifecycle management, database performance, scalability, and data health, including areas like soft delete strategies and database migration testing.
Document database best practices, patterns to avoid, and data architecture guidance to enable developers to make informed decisions.
Develop proactive tooling and guardrails that help developers detect and remediate potential performance and data issues early in the development lifecycle.
Take part in on-call or operational support where your team’s ownership model requires it.
What you'll bring
Professional software engineering experience working with PostgreSQL in large, complex production environments, including high availability solutions with automatic failover and zero-downtime data migrations as well as managing large or fast-growing datasets through approaches such as data retention, archiving, partitioning, or lifecycle management.
Proficiency with Ruby on Rails or another Ruby framework, including designing, implementing, and reviewing backend features.
Ability to reason about software design, algorithms, and performance trade-offs at a system level.
Strong written communication skills and comfort working asynchronously in an all-remote, distributed team.
Self-directed work style with effective organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities as a "manager of one".
Alignment with GitLab's values, including transparency, collaboration, inclusion, and contribution to open source.
Openness to learning and applying new tools and approaches, including transferable experience from related data, infrastructure, or developer tooling domains.
Willingness to participate in our
tier 2 dabase on-call rotation
in your time zone.
The
Database Excellence Group
is a remote, agile backend team that builds and maintains the frameworks, patterns, and tooling that enable GitLab teams to work confidently with data at scale across all application datastores. As part of the broader Data Engineering organization, we focus on data scalability, health, and developer enablement for both GitLab.com and thousands of self-managed deployments, collaborating closely with infrastructure, software delivery, and analytics stages to ensure data changes are safe, performant, and compatible across diverse environments. We are independent, self-organized contributors, and we collaborate asynchronously across regions. The Senior Software Development Team Coordinator (Thailand) is the operational right hand of the Thailand Team Leader within the Sitebuilders Chiang Mai team. This role supports the Team Leader to operate at a strategic and technical level — by owning the people rhythm and day-to-day operational layer of the Thailand hub. The Software Development Team Coordinator reports directly to the Thailand Team Leader and works in close partnership to ensure strong team operations, delivery consistency, and people development across the Thailand hub. This role is not intended to act as a buffer between the Team Leader and the team, but rather as a strong operational partner who increases the effectiveness of both. Success in this role is measured by the health and performance of the team, as well as by the Team Leader’s ability to focus on high-impact strategic and technical responsibilities.
Responsibilities
People Leadership & Team Development
• Serve as the primary people manager for Thailand-based engineers — owning regular 1:1s, feedback cycles, and individual development plans in close coordination with the Team Leader.
• Monitor team morale, identify and report risks early, and address interpersonal issues with discretion before they escalate to the Team Leader.
• Support engineers' career progression by identifying growth opportunities and skill gaps, aligned with the Team Leader and UXM Architect’s technical direction.
• Lead onboarding coordination for new Thailand-based hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the team's ways of working.
• Build and reinforce a team culture of ownership, initiative, and continuous improvement — consistent with the Team Leader's vision for the team.
Delivery & Operational Coordination
• Track Kanban progress across the Thailand team, ensuring blockers are surfaced and resolved without pulling the Team Leader away from technical priorities.
• Manage day-to-day task allocation and priority adjustments in fast-switching delivery cycles within a Kanban system.
• Compile and deliver structured monthly reports to upper management layers detailing overall team status, KPI metrics, operational delivery risks, and sensitive people or performance issues. Every identified issue, bottleneck, or risk must be accompanied by a concrete, actionable remediation plan to improve and resolve the situation dynamically.
• Oversee accurate time logging and estimation integrity across the team (including for the Deputy role itself).
Technical Contribution & Stability Support
• Assist the Front-End Team Leader in identifying potential personnel or project risks and help formulate contingency plans.
• Support the Project Anchors and the Stability Unit by ensuring developers are available and focused during critical production fixes.
• Maintain sufficient technical credibility to follow engineering discussions, understand the team’s work, and ask relevant questions. While this role is not the primary technical authority, it is expected to operate confidently and effectively within technical conversations.
• Act as a first-level escalation point for day-to-day operational and process questions, resolving escalations before it reaches the Team Leader.
• Uphold UXM documentation requirements and Definition of Done compliance within the team.
Hiring Support
• Participate in hiring panels for Thailand-based frontend roles, providing structured feedback on culture fit, communication, and working style.
• Assist in scoping role requirements in coordination with the Team Leader.
Requirements
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in a people management or team coordination role in a tech team.
Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with Front End frameworks and web technologies (HTML, CSS, JS (React, Angular etc.)). We value the ability to translate technical constraints into project timelines, ensuring you can accurately assess scope and complexity during the planning phase.
• Genuine people leadership instinct — you find energy in developing others, you notice when someone is struggling before they say it, and you handle sensitive conversations with care.
• Organized, dependable, and calm under pressure — the team should feel steadier because you are in the room.
• High level of initiative, ownership, and leadership mindset.
• Strong communication skills in English; able to represent team dynamics and delivery status clearly to the Team Leader and upward when needed.
• iGaming or SaaS platform experience is an advantage.
Here's what we offer:
· Start with 20 days of annual leave, with 2 additional days added each year (up to 30 days by your fifth year with us), along with 13 public holidays per year.
· Enjoy a flexible hybrid work schedule after your first three months with us.

- 4 weeks of paternity leave, plus the flexibility to work from home full-time until your child is 13 weeks old.
Our office perks include parking, on-site massages, and frequent team-building activities in various locations.
Benefits & Perks:
· Monthly meal allowance
· Medical Subscription and Annual Physical/Medical check-up.
· Access online learning platforms like Udemy for Business and a budget for external training.

Revenue Recognition Alignment:
Partner closely with Accounting to ensure system rating rules, revenue schedules, and general ledger mappings satisfy ASC 606 and IFRS 15 compliance standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Gather technical and operational requirements directly from Accounting, Finance, Sales Ops, and Product teams, translating their vision into sustainable platform configuration.

Ability to bridge technical language and financial business logic, effectively collaborating with engineering teams and accounting stakeholders alike.

We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.

Job Summary
We are looking for a high-energy, research-driven Account Executive to lead our growth within the middle market property management sector. In this role, you won't just be selling a platform; you’ll be helping regional and multi-state operators revolutionize how they manage resident engagement and retention. You will own a named territory of portfolios ranging from 5,000 to 50,000 units, navigating multi-threaded deals that involve VPs of Ops, Marketing Directors, and Ownership groups. If you thrive in a full-cycle environment where you build your own pipeline and execute a sophisticated land-and-expand strategy, this is the place for you.
Key Responsibilities
Own and map a named list of 150–250 middle market accounts, identifying key stakeholders and resident engagement stacks before initiating contact.
Execute a high-volume, high-quality outbound cadence (50–60 touches daily) across phone, email, and LinkedIn to build relationships with at least three stakeholders per account.
Lead 10–12 discovery calls and demos per month, moving beyond feature walkthroughs to diagnose business problems like resident turnover, onsite team burnout, and event spend.
Build compelling proposals that tie the platform to measurable ROI, including renewal lift and hours saved per community.
Structure and close pilot agreements with clear success criteria, working closely with Customer Success to trigger full portfolio rollouts.
Navigate procurement and legal to close deals typically ranging from 10–20 communities ($36K–$72K ARR) within a 45–90 day cycle.
Maintain meticulous records in HubSpot to ensure accurate weekly forecasting and territory planning.
Requirements
2–5 years of full-cycle B2B SaaS sales experience, including at least 1 year managing mid-market or multi-location accounts.
A proven track record of self-sourcing pipeline; you are comfortable with a daily goal of 30–40 dials and personalized sequencing.
Experience managing multi-stakeholder deals with a 45–90 day sales cycle.
Ability to lead deep-dive conversations that uncover pain points and quantify the cost of inaction.
Proven ability to build a business case and defend pricing based on value rather than discounts.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence executive-level decision-makers.
A metrics-first mindset with a commitment to accurate forecasting and CRM hygiene.
Nice-to-Haves
Experience in Multifamily real estate, PropTech, or resident services.
Familiarity with the NMHC Top 50 operators or regional property management structures.
Proficiency in HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, or ZoomInfo.
Experience using structured sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC or Command of the Message.
Previous success in a "land-and-expand" or "pilot-to-rollout" sales motion.
