Software Engineer, Platform Engineering (L2)
About the job
This position is an engineering role within Twilio Platform Engineering, suited to an engineer who is building hands-on experience with highly available, large-scale distributed systems.
Our systems regularly process more than 12 billion emails during peak events like Black Friday, and our throughput requirements continue to scale rapidly. As an L2 engineer, you will help build and operate backend services at scale, working alongside more senior engineers on our dual-cloud infrastructure spanning Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. You'll get hands-on with Kubernetes, contribute to Terraform-based infrastructure automation, and write production code to help keep distributed systems healthy under real production load, using modern AI-assisted tooling to move faster and ramp up your skills.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
WEAR THE CUSTOMER'S SHOES:
Help design, build, and operate services and automations that support Kubernetes clusters at scale, under the guidance of senior engineers. Work with product management and technical leadership to turn well-scoped tasks into working code.
BE AN OWNER (CODE QUALITY):
Participate in code reviews and follow established patterns and testing standards (unit and integration testing) across the team and platform.
BE AN OWNER (INFRASTRUCTURE & OBSERVABILITY):
Support cloud configurations across AWS and Azure environments using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). Help maintain observability coverage, including metrics, alerts, and basic distributed tracing, across core data pipelines.
CHAMPION ENGINEERING HEALTH:
Build awareness of clean architectural practices. Flag technical debt, bugs, and small-scale system issues to your team as you encounter them.
GROW AND COLLABORATE:
Actively seek feedback and mentorship from senior engineers, participate in sprint planning, and share what you learn with peers as you grow into a more senior role.
Qualifications
Twilio values diverse experiences from all kinds of industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. If your career is just starting or hasn't followed a traditional path, don't let that stop you from considering Twilio. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!
Required:
Experience:
1-2+ years of professional software engineering experience, including some exposure to building or operating backend services using Kubernetes. Familiarity with basic Kubernetes operations (deployments, pods, services) is expected; deep production-scale cluster-upgrade experience is not required.
Modern Development Workflow:
Practical experience with, or strong desire to learn, AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code) to help write code, automate testing, and support debugging workflows.
Deployment Orchestration:
Some exposure to GitOps workflows (e.g., ArgoCD) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Harness or an equivalent platform); willingness to learn our specific tooling on the job.
Language Proficiency:
Working knowledge of at least one of Shell, Terraform, YAML, or Go (Golang), with a willingness to build proficiency across the rest.
Cloud Infrastructure:
Some experience with cloud environments, ideally basic exposure to AWS core services (such as EC2, S3, EKS) or their Microsoft Azure equivalents (such as Virtual Machines, Blob Storage, AKS). General familiarity with networking concepts (VPC/VNet basics) is a plus.
Infrastructure as Code:
Basic familiarity with Terraform or similar IaC tools.
Distributed Systems:
Foundational understanding of distributed datastores, caching layers, or asynchronous event streaming (e.g., Kafka or similar queuing systems), through coursework, projects, or professional experience.
Systems Mindset:
Solid computer science fundamentals and data structures knowledge, with an eagerness to learn how to build self-healing cloud architectures.
Desired:
Some exposure to containerized infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes) in coursework, internships, or professional projects.
Curiosity about advanced deployment strategies (canary, blue/green); prior hands-on experience not required.
Interest in policy-as-code tools such as OPA/Gatekeeper.
Interest in OpenTelemetry or distributed tracing concepts.
Any exposure to network topology, proxy layers, or mail transfer agent (MTA) protocols.
Coursework or personal projects involving distributed datastores, caching, or event streaming (e.g., Kafka).

Hi, I'm Paul, VP of Engineering at
Customer.io
. We're always looking for thoughtful, driven Engineering Managers to add to our org. Some of our teams are building customer-facing product and workflows; others keep our distributed systems reliable, observable, and ready to scale. Whichever kind of problem energizes you, if you lead people well, hold a high technical bar, and drive work to completion without waiting to be handed a plan, we want to hear from you.
About
Customer.io
Over 9,000 companies—from scrappy startups to global brands—use our platform to send billions of emails, push notifications, in-app messages, and SMS every day.
Customer.io
powers automated communication that people actually want to receive.
We help teams send smarter, more relevant messages using real-time behavioral data—what people do or don't do inside a web or mobile app. Under the hood: Go, React, and AI help us ship fast and scale with confidence.
What we value
Ownership.
You set direction and see initiatives through. You create clarity when things are murky and set the path forward rather than waiting for one to be defined, and you're motivated by impact—not just intention. You hold yourself and your team accountable to shipping, not just staying busy.
Leaders who can do both.
You operate at the strategic level and stay close to the technical work. You can align stakeholders on a plan and earn your engineers' respect in the same day—you don't choose between vision and execution, you hold both.
A drive to execute through resistance.
Competing priorities, skeptical stakeholders, tired teams—you've moved work forward anyway. You name the resistance, make the call, and own the milestones and the misses.
An AI-first mindset.
AI is central to how you build and how you lead your team to build. You have a real, concrete point of view on AI-native development, you use agentic tooling yourself, and you bring it into how your squad operates.
A healthy skepticism for "the way things are done."
You bring rigor and pragmatism. Best practices matter—but never more than forward motion. You know when to build, when to buy, and when to wait—and you're comfortable making the call with incomplete information, then adjusting as you learn.
What you'll do
Care deeply about our customers and their outcomes
Lead your squad to deliver real customer value by owning projects end to end—from planning through delivery, quality, and follow-through
Drive execution: set milestones, keep work moving through ambiguity and competing priorities, and
ship in small, observable increments rather than waiting for a release window
Make confident decisions when the path isn't obvious, and lead your team through them
Set the operating rhythm that helps your team move fastest, rather than defaulting to ceremony for its own sake
Ensure your squad's solutions are scalable, architecturally sound, flexible, and secure, with strong peer-review, QA, documentation, deployment, logging, and monitoring practices
Stay close to the work—jump into design reviews, architecture calls, and incidents rather than watching from a distance
Provide direct, timely, and specific coaching, and create meaningful development opportunities for your direct reports
Participate in an on-call rotation as required, supporting the reliability of the systems you build
Hire, onboard, and manage performance so the right people are in place to hit your squad's goals
Bring an AI-native perspective—use AI tools to accelerate the team's velocity and help everyone prototype faster and ship smarter
Partner across engineering and other departments to align efforts with customer success, and reach higher when our customers are having a bad day
What we're looking for
3+ years managing engineers at a SaaS company (B2B or B2C), ideally early-to-mid-stage
A track record of driving execution—concrete delivery outcomes with milestones, dates, and "I drove" ownership, especially in complex or fast-moving environments
A strong technical background—you can hold your own in architecture conversations and design reviews, represent your squad's technical choices across the company, and you've shipped real work recently enough to stay credible
Comfort operating with high autonomy and little prescribed structure—you create your own clarity and make difficult tradeoffs between competing priorities
Demonstrated AI-native leadership—not just personal fluency, but bringing AI-first practices into how your team builds
Experience building high-performing, inclusive, and collaborative teams
Clear, concise, and direct communication, both verbal and written
Compensation & Benefits
We believe in transparency. Starting salary for this role is $185,000-$215,000 USD (or equivalent in local currency) depending on experience and subject to market rate adjustment. In addition to base salary, this role includes an equity grant in the form of stock options, so you share in the success you help build.
We know our people are what make us great, and we're committed to taking great care of them. Our inclusive benefits package supports your well-being and growth, including
100% coverage of medical, dental, vision, mental health, and supplemental insurance premiums for you and your family
. We also offer
16 weeks paid parental leave
,
unlimited PTO
, stipends for remote work and wellness, a professional development budget, and more.

WHO WE ARE
Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkpYpWfEK5s. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.
Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
This early-career Notino Experience Program Manager role is for a builder who thrives in ambiguity and turns it into momentum. You’ll wear many hats across the People team, but your core job is to jump in, chart the path, and drive high-impact projects based on business priorities—bringing clarity, aligning cross-functional partners, and executing quickly so the team can deliver meaningful employee experiences across EMEA and APAC.
You’ll succeed here if you’re deeply curious, eager to grow, and excited to hone your craft in People. This is a launchpad opportunity to learn from strong leaders, build expertise across the full spectrum of People work, and help shape moments that matter—bringing energy, optimism, and genuine care for people while helping build a workplace where everyone can do the best work of their careers.
As the regional anchor for how Notion’s global people & environment programs come to life outside the U.S., you’ll sit at the intersection of global vision and local execution. Based in Dublin and reporting to the Notino Experience & Environment Lead for APAC & EMEA, you’ll partner closely with the Global Experience Programs team in AMER and environment teams across Dublin, Sydney, Tokyo, Seoul, and Hyderabad—translating global programs into locally relevant, high-quality experiences and building the operational infrastructure to deliver them consistently at scale.
We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (our Anchor Days) because we do our best thinking and building together in person. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to work alongside the team during those days.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE:
- Own regional program operations. Take end-to-end ownership of key people programs across EMEA and APAC — from onboarding and performance cycles to engagement surveys and talent retention initiatives. You'll research, plan, launch, and iterate.
- Bridge global and local. Act as the connective layer between the Global Experience Programs team and on-the-ground environment teams. You'll translate global frameworks into locally relevant experiences.
- Build the infrastructure. Create processes, playbooks, and agents that make local execution easier and more consistent across markets. Think onboarding workflows, program calendars, and repeatable delivery frameworks.
- Elevate Affinity Groups. Partner with Affinity Group leads across the region to strengthen their programmes, provide operational support, and help surface retention and engagement insights from within those communities.
- Use data to drive decisions. Build and maintain dashboards that track program health, adoption, and outcomes. Use what you learn to run experiments, course-correct quickly, and demonstrate ROI.
- Partner cross-functionally. Work closely with People Partners, NoE , Recruitment and business leaders to align people programs with organisational goals and ensure an inclusive, well-supported employee experience.
- Champion the Notion Experience. Help craft and bring to life a more distinct Notino Experience brand across EMEA and APAC — reimagining how we work, how we connect, and what it feels like to be a Notino in your region.
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING:
- Programatic: experience running people programs end-to-end, across multiple markets & time zones.
- AI-native mindset: you’re “AI‑pilled” in the best way: you proactively use AI tools to speed up research, ops, and communication, and you’re excited to build AI agents/playbooks.
- Project management: strong skills and the ability to hold many moving pieces.
- Stakeholder trust: you build trust naturally across levels, from team members to executive partners.
- Bias toward action: you’re resourceful, scrappy when needed, and energised by a fast-moving environment.
- Change management: experience driving change at a high-growth company — you know how to bring people along, not just roll things out.
- Executive presence: you’re comfortable presenting to and partnering with senior leaders.
NICE TO HAVES:
- Familiarity with or enthusiasm for Notion
- Experience working across APAC and EMEA markets, with an understanding of cultural nuance in employee experience.
Notion is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role's scope and complexity, and the candidate's experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. The estimated range for total on target earnings (including base salary and on target incentive pay) for this role is €45,000 - €70,000 per year.

A NOTE ON AI
You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.
EQUAL OPPORTUNITY & ACCOMMODATIONS
We hire talented people from a wide range of backgrounds. If you’re excited about this role but don’t meet every bullet, we still encourage you to apply. Notion is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of any legally protected characteristic. Consistent with applicable law, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. Notion provides reasonable accommodations during the application process; if you need one, please let your recruiter know.

Account-based marketing: Build and scale our ABM programme, partnering closely with Sales to engage high-value target accounts.
Field marketing: Plan and execute events, executive dinners, roundtables, and other in-person experiences that accelerate pipeline and strengthen customer relationships.
Lead management: Own lead qualification, scoring, nurture programmes, and sales handoff processes to maximise conversion throughout the funnel.
Sales partnership: Work closely with Sales and SDRs to align on pipeline goals, enable account engagement, and continuously improve campaign performance.
Performance optimisation: Measure campaign effectiveness, uncover insights, and continually experiment to improve pipeline generation and marketing ROI.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Demand generation expertise: A proven track record of building and scaling demand generation or account-based marketing programmes that drive measurable pipeline growth within B2B SaaS.
Strategic ownership: Experience operating in a senior, high-autonomy role, building new marketing programmes and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
Marketing operations: Strong understanding of lead scoring, qualification frameworks, funnel management, and sales handoff processes.
Commercial mindset: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to inform decisions and optimise marketing performance.
Cross-functional collaboration: Experience partnering effectively with Sales and SDR teams around shared pipeline goals.
Executional excellence: Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

5. Demonstrate expertise, or a strong willingness to learn, about conversational AI and how ElevenLabs' voice technology can unlock value across customer support, virtual agents, IVR modernization, and in-app assistants.
6. Develop and execute account strategies to expand ElevenLabs' presence within the Polish financial services sector, navigating complex procurement and organizational structures.
7. Partner closely with Customer Success, FDEs and Solutions Engineering to ensure smooth onboarding, deployment, and expansion of accounts.

Requirements
1. 7+ years of quota-carrying strategic sales experience in SaaS or technology, ideally with exposure to AI, generative AI, LLM-based products, or API-driven platforms.
2. Proven success closing deals and managing long, complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders across business, IT, legal, and procurement.
3. Well-connected in the Polish financial services landscape, with an existing network of senior individuals and strong executive presence and ability to build relationships at the C-suite and board level.
4. Experience selling technical solutions to product and engineering leaders; ability to translate complex technology into business value.
5. Deep understanding of enterprise procurement and legal processes in Poland, with the ability to accelerate deal velocity within complex organizational structures.
6. Comfort operating in an early-stage, high-growth environment, including building new playbooks and iterating quickly.

Powered by advanced AI, first-party data and world-class engineers, we’ve perfected the offerwall experience for monetizing and scaling app publishers with solutions like Playtime and Arcade – now the fastest growing rewarded advertising channel globally – driving incremental engagement, retention, and revenue.
At the same time, we’re breaking into programmatic advertising with the intelligent bidding system of adjoe Ads. Together, this ecosystem connects app developers to over 600 million users worldwide for scalable growth. Backed by a $100 million investment from Bertelsmann and operating from offices in Hamburg, Boston, Singapore, and Tokyo, adjoe is defining the next stages of app and ad experience – right now. Join us.
We are seeking a Senior Solution Architect to support the product and technical dimension of adjoe’s most critical enterprise relationships. Acting as the "Technical Lead" for our top-tier partners, you will merge complex partner roadmaps with our modern stack – powered by Golang and Native SDKs – to drive technical excellence for over 100 million daily users.
Your mandate is to bridge the gap between our technology team in Germany and the partner’s vision. You will collaborate with senior product and engineering counterparts, acting as a point of contact for all technical discourse. This is a role of deep technical empowerment: You have direct access to our entire cloud infrastructure – from real-time monitoring and logging to our extensive data lakes – to maintain a comprehensive, full-picture view of the system state. From investigating complex architectural issues to supporting the rollout of new, high-impact features, you ensure our stacks evolve in perfect sync.
Working as a key collaborator with our internal Product and Tech departments, you will act as the technical gatekeeper and advocate for our largest enterprise accounts.
What You Will Do:
- Technical Strategy & Execution: Act as the primary consultant for enterprise partners, architecting the technical path to success. You will play a key role in guiding the co-creation of new products in partnership with our Germany based tech team, validating and optimizing technical solutions directly with our top partners to ensure they are battle-tested before reaching full-scale production.
- Orchestrate the Joint Technical Roadmap: Support the technical lifecycle of the partnership, leading complex feature rollouts and managing integration timelines.
- Root-Cause Architecture & Proactive Mitigation: Put on your "detective hat" to lead high-stakes troubleshooting by going beyond the surface of mobile app code to conduct deep-dive root-cause analysis, proactively identifying and solving integration blockers before they impact the partner’s revenue.
- Data-Driven Consultancy: Leverage SQL and Python (or others) to aggregate and visualize complex datasets, translating raw data into technical narratives that help partners reach their KPIs.
- Voice of the Customer: Translate partner feedback into precise technical requirements for internal Product teams to unlock global scalability.
- Enterprise Account Ownership: Serve as the dedicated technical point of contact for key enterprise accounts, owning relationships with senior stakeholders across product, engineering, and leadership. You will support executive-level technical discussions, manage escalations, and proactively drive account health.
Who You Are:
- 5+ years of experience in a technical-client-facing role in AdTech, Big Tech, or SaaS (TAM, Sales Engineering, or Solutions Architecture), with some exposure to the mobile ecosystem.
- Must have: Professional fluency in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
- Proven enterprise account experience: You have directly managed key enterprise accounts, navigating complex stakeholder environments and acting as a trusted technical advisor to senior client contacts.
- The Tech-Architect: Expert at translating high-level requirements into specifications. You are equally comfortable discussing SDK initialization and REST endpoint latency with a Senior Product Owner as you are debugging HTML/JavaScript.
- Analytical Powerhouse: Proficient in SQL and data visualization. You have extensive experience using analytics dashboards such as Grafana, Tableau, QuickSight, or Kibana to find the "why" behind the numbers and drive strategic technical decisions.
- Mobile & App Native: (Huge Plus) Familiarity with Java or experience building/supporting mobile apps with a "sixth sense" for debugging SDK integration issues.
- Cross-Functional Catalyst: A natural collaborator who can navigate internal Engineering & Product teams to find solutions in high-pressure environments.
- Nice to have: Experience with Software Development.
Fuel for the Journey: Benefits to Support Your Ambitions:
- Health & Dental Insurance: Comprehensive healthcare coverage provided through Care Plus (SOHO30 and ODONT20 plans).
- Life Insurance: Company-provided life and disability insurance coverage to support you and your family.
- Meal / Food Allowance: Monthly flexible allowance that can be used at restaurants, supermarkets, delivery services, and more.
- Transportation Allowance: Monthly support to help cover commuting costs.
- Wellhub (Gympass): Access to the Wellhub platform with exclusive corporate discounts on gyms and wellness services.
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP): SupportLinc is available at no cost to you and your family, offering confidential support and resources to promote well-being and work-life balance.
