About the Role
ClickHouse is launching a strategic Postgres initiative to extend our developer-first cloud platform, so teams can easily integrate Postgres with ClickHouse and power end-to-end data workflows.
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the team building this platform. You’ll work across a range of areas — from control plane services and automation to operational tooling and developer experience. This is a flexible, full-stack systems role for an engineer who thrives in environments where boundaries are fluid, problems are complex, and impact is tangible.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Design and build backend services that orchestrate and manage database clusters in ClickHouse Cloud.
- Extend our platform control plane — written in Ruby, Go, and TypeScript — to support new Postgres capabilities.
- Contribute to PostgreSQL extensions and data plane agents, written in C, C++ or Rust
- Contribute to automation and tooling that simplify cluster provisioning, scaling, and lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, SRE, and product teams to ensure operational excellence, performance, and reliability.
- Develop APIs and integrations that expose new Postgres functionality to customers and internal systems.
- Improve observability, deployment safety, and debugging workflows for database services.
- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and on-call rotations, contributing to the overall reliability and velocity of the team.
- Operate with autonomy — identifying opportunities, driving execution, and delivering meaningful impact.
ABOUT YOU
- Experience: 6+ years in software engineering, ideally with experience building or operating database or cloud platform systems.
- Postgres Expertise: Deep understanding of Postgres — configuration, extensions, operations, and performance tuning.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong programming experience in one or several of Ruby, Go, Rust, C or Python (and willingness to work across languages).
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, APIs, and automation tools (Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD).
- Understanding of distributed systems, data replication, and service orchestration patterns.
- Mindset: Pragmatic, detail-oriented, and comfortable with both greenfield development and operational ownership.
- Flexibility: Happy to contribute where needed — from backend APIs and platform automation to Postgres internals and debugging.
- Collaboration: Strong communicator who works effectively across teams in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Ownership: You operate with a founder’s mindset — take initiative, move quickly, and care deeply about outcomes.
WHY JOIN US
- Be part of a strategic new offering that expands the scope and impact of ClickHouse Cloud.
- Work with cutting-edge database and infrastructure technologies at scale.
- Operate with high autonomy in a small, focused team that values deep expertise and collaboration.
- Shape foundational systems for reliability, automation, and developer experience in managed database.

ABOUT SUPABASE
Supabase is the open-source Postgres development platform. 10M+ developers and thousands of enterprises depend on it every day. Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime and Vector Search run on one platform: the same compute, disks, network and control plane, in each region we operate.
Supabase's hardest problems live in that platform. We run millions of databases, and the count compounds each quarter. Our customers range from a developer on a free project to a regulated enterprise that routes traffic through PrivateLink https://supabase.com/docs/guides/platform/privatelink and puts us through a security review before it signs. Reliability, capacity, cost, security and the enterprise features that close deals all come back to the same primitives. We're hiring a Product Lead to own them and build the product team behind them.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You lead product for the platform under every Supabase product: compute, disks, networking, the API gateway, capacity and regions. You also own what enterprises build and buy on top of it: read replicas https://supabase.com/docs/guides/platform/read-replicas, custom domains https://supabase.com/docs/guides/platform/custom-domains, PrivateLink, Bring Your Own Cloud, and the security and compliance controls they need before they sign. You report to the Head of Product, set direction for the platform, and work alongside the leads for our other product lines. You lead the platform's product managers, including our infrastructure product lead, and you hire and develop the PMs who grow the team.
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- You build and lead the platform product team. You decide how to split the area, hire the PMs who own the rest of it, and coach them to own their roadmaps end to end. You set the bar for their work.
- You decide what gets built, what gets deferred, and what gets cut. Each quarter you choose between enterprise unlocks that open new markets, cost and performance wins for the long tail of projects, and new capabilities that change what Supabase can run. The priorities are yours, and so is defending them.
- You own reliability and security as product surfaces. You set service levels that track what customers experience and hold teams to them. You decide which security and compliance commitments we make to enterprises, and you show customers what it takes to run millions of databases.
- You talk to customers across the full spectrum: developers running one small project, startups whose bill is mostly compute and disk, enterprise architects running a network or security review, and partners building on Supabase.
- You run the platform's planning. Your PMs write problem statements, requirements and launch metrics before engineering starts. After each launch, you check whether it moved enterprise deal velocity, project economics or platform reliability.
- You keep engineering, design and leadership aligned. The platform sits under each Supabase product, region and customer tier. You write down what's coming, why, and in what order, and you raise dependencies before they block anyone.
YOU MIGHT BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU:
- Have 8+ years of product management experience on developer tools or infrastructure, or have founded a company in this space. You can read an architecture doc and hold your own in a design discussion.
- Have built and led a team of product managers. You've hired PMs, grown them into owners of their own areas, and made the hard call when someone wasn't working out. You've led leads who run their own teams. You did it while the product grew from something you could hold in your head to a business where capacity, regions and cost set the limits.
- Have shipped cloud infrastructure as a product. You owned at least one of compute, networking, storage, or multi-region and multi-tenant systems yourself, at a cloud, infrastructure or PaaS company. You can judge the tradeoffs: instance sizing and capacity, disk and storage economics, scale-to-zero versus always-on, single-tenant versus shared, and the gap between "works in one region" and "works in twenty." Knowing how enterprises buy and security-review infrastructure (PrivateLink, BYOC, compliance, procurement) is a bonus.
- Move fast and use AI to do it. You'd rather ship something imperfect and learn from it. You hand AI the slow parts of the job (research, drafting, synthesising feedback) and spend your time on judgment calls.
- Build with what you own. You stand up a read replica, put a custom domain in front of a project, route traffic through PrivateLink and deploy onto BYOC. Your opinions come from using the product.
- Work async by default. We're fully remote. You make decisions in writing and move work forward without meetings.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Fully Remote
We hire globally. We believe you can do your best work from anywhere. There are no Supabase offices, but we provide a WeWork membership or co-working allowance you can use anywhere in the world.
- ESOP
Every team member receives ESOP (equity ownership) in the company. We want everyone to share in the upside of what we’re building together.
- Tech Allowance
Use this budget to set up your ideal work environment—laptop, monitor, headphones, or whatever helps you do your best work.
- Health Benefits
Supabase covers 100% of health insurance for employees and 80% for dependents, wherever you are. Your wellbeing and your family’s health are important to us.
- Annual Off-Sites
Once a year, the entire company gathers in a new city for a week of connection, collaboration, and fun. It’s a highlight of our year.
- Flexible Work
We operate asynchronously and trust you to manage your own time. You know what needs to be done and when.
- Professional Development
Every team member receives an annual education allowance to spend on learning—courses, books, conferences, or anything that supports your growth.
ABOUT THE TEAM
Supabase was born-remote and open-source-first. We believe our globally distributed team is our secret weapon in building tools developers love.
- ~400 team members
- 60+ countries
- 20+ languages spoken
- Over $1B raised (including our $500M Series F)
- 540,000+ community members
We move fast, build in public, and use what we ship. If it’s in your project, we probably use it in ours too. We believe deeply in the open-source ecosystem and strive to support—not replace—existing tools and communities.

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
As part of our growing Data Science & Analytics team, you will play an instrumental role in Anthropic's mission of building safe and beneficial AI — this time by driving data-informed decisions across the commercial customer lifecycle. This role sits at the intersection of fast-moving sales operations and rigorous statistical analysis. You will work across multiple segments and products, partnering with analytics engineers, fellow data scientists, and go-to-market leadership to turn complex commercial data into actionable strategy.
You will own measurement and analysis for new logo acquisition through activation, expansion, and retention for a rapidly scaling, consumption-based AI platform. You've worked in cultures of analytical rigor before, and you're eager to help shape the norms and best practices of a growing data science function at a pivotal moment in the company's growth.
Key responsibilities
Define key metrics, build measurement frameworks, and maintain core reporting to evaluate GTM success across segments and products
Analyze commercial and user data to surface actionable insights, size opportunities, and influence roadmaps and go-to-market strategy
Develop hypotheses and apply rigorous causal inference methods — controlled experiments, synthetic controls — to make clear, actionable recommendations
Investigate anomalies, conduct root cause analyses, and provide data-driven guidance on priorities and decisions
Build statistical models, optimization frameworks, and simulations to support and automate commercial decision-making processes
Present analyses and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including GTM leadership
Establish foundational data practices and help scale analytics infrastructure to support rapid product and commercial iteration
Minimum qualifications
Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools
Expertise in experimental design, causal inference, statistical modeling, and A/B testing, particularly in high-scale technical environments
Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for both technical and business audiences
Strong written communication and presentation skills
Ability to work effectively in fast-moving, ambiguous environments — comfortable creating structure and driving progress where neither yet exists
Preferred qualifications
5+ years of experience in data science or analytics roles
A strong track record in multi-segment, multi-product B2B sales or commercial analytics, especially with consumption-based revenue models
Experience with AI/ML products, large language models, or developer tools in the AI/ML ecosystem
Genuine interest in Anthropic's mission of developing safe and beneficial AI

Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.

- Collaborate with Growth team members to size deals, provide anticipated usage estimates, and identify potential workloads supported by the Platform.
PROOF-OF-VALUE ONBOARDING
- Support your team in defining and executing proof-of-value scopes that balance business outcomes with low-friction onboarding.
- Ensure CSA-owned timelines, success criteria, and engagement tactics result in a high proof-to-conversion success rate.
- Build reusable onboarding flows (email sequences, docs, templates, webinars) that accelerate time-to-value for new customers.

Ubuntu is the most widely used Linux distribution in the world, delivering kernels across a vast matrix of versions, architectures, and configurations – with up to 15 years of security and maintenance commitments for Long Term Support (LTS) releases. Ensuring the quality and reliability of these kernels demands a dedicated, systematic approach to testing at scale.
The Canonical Kernel Team is looking for a Test Engineer to take ownership of our kernel testing strategy and infrastructure. You will design and maintain test plans covering functional correctness, stability, performance, and security. You will build and evolve automated test frameworks – including stress testing, fuzzing, code coverage analysis, and regression detection – that not only must remain effective across many concurrently supported kernel versions spanning years of maintenance, but must be able to scale with the high demand for Ubuntu kernels (currently more than 160 under active support).
The successful candidate will bring strong Python skills, familiarity with Linux kernel internals, and experience building test infrastructure that scales. You will work closely with kernel engineers to catch regressions early, validate fixes, and ensure every kernel we ship meets the highest standards of reliability.
Location:
This role will be based remotely in the APAC region, except for Taipei, Taiwan, and Beijing, China, which are office-based locations.
What your day will look like
Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans covering functional correctness, stability, performance, and security for Ubuntu Linux kernels
Build and improve automated test infrastructure for continuous kernel quality validation across multiple kernel versions and architectures
Maintain long-lived test suites that evolve alongside Ubuntu’s many concurrently supported kernel versions spanning years of maintenance
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous kernel quality validation
Conduct performance benchmarking and regression detection across kernel releases
Measure and improve kernel code coverage, identifying gaps in test coverage and creating tests to address them
Execute and analyze stress tests covering CPU scheduling, memory management, I/O subsystems, networking, and filesystem workloads
Develop and maintain fuzzing harnesses to discover kernel vulnerabilities and reliability issues using tools such as syzkaller, Trinity, or custom fuzzers
Collaborate regularly and proactively with a globally distributed team
Contribute to upstream test suites and testing frameworks
Document test methodologies, results, and coverage gaps
What we are looking for in you
Significant programming experience in Python
Experience with test frameworks such as LTP, kselftest, xfstests, stress-ng, fio, or similar
Experience designing and executing system-level tests: functional, stress, performance, or regression testing
Familiarity with CI/CD systems (Jenkins, GitHub CI, or similar)
Experience maintaining test suites over long periods, adapting to evolving software across multiple supported versions
Familiarity with Linux (Ubuntu or Debian preferred but not required), Linux kernel internals and subsystems
Experience with Linux systems administration and automation
Solid background with git
Well-organized, self-starting and able to deliver to fixed schedules
Professional written and spoken English with excellent communication skills
Ability to travel twice a year, for company events up to two weeks each
Additional skills that you might also bring
Familiarity with kernel fuzzing tools and techniques (e.g. syzkaller, Trinity, AFL, or custom harnesses)
Experience with code coverage instrumentation (e.g. gcov, kcov, LLVM source-based coverage)
Knowledge of kernel tracing and observability tools (e.g. ftrace, perf, bpftrace, eBPF)
Familiarity with static analysis tools (e.g. sparse, smatch, Coccinelle) as part of a testing workflow
Experience with fault injection frameworks (e.g. failslab, fail_make_request) for reliability testing
Prior experience with test infrastructure at scale (provisioning, orchestration, result aggregation)
Experience with Ubuntu/Debian packaging or Snap
Knowledge of virtualization technologies (KVM, QEMU) and container runtimes
Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, GCP, Azure, or OpenStack)
Prior involvement with open source testing communities or projects

An overview of this role
As an Senior AI Engineer at GitLab, you'll help build the foundation for GitLab's transformation into an AI-first company. Reporting to the Director, Enterprise AI, you'll be a hands-on technical leader responsible for delivering internal AI-powered solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.
Building fast matters, but it's not enough on its own. This role starts with understanding the real problem: mapping how work moves across teams, tools, and handoffs, identifying the true constraint, and validating whether AI is the right solution before you begin development. From there, you'll take ownership from discovery through deployment, combining strong engineering skills with systems thinking and business understanding.
Your initial focus will span Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support, where you will embed AI solutions into key systems and workflows. This role offers the opportunity to shape how GitLab team members work, improve flow across the organization, and help advance our mission in a remote, asynchronous, and values-driven environment.
What you'll do
Diagnose business problems before building solutions. Map workflows, identify constraints, and confirm whether AI is the right intervention. Be prepared to say "this doesn't need AI" when that's the honest answer.
Own AI initiatives end-to-end, from stakeholder discovery and technical design through implementation, deployment, and iteration.
Design, develop, and ship AI-powered solutions quickly, delivering working prototypes in days, not months, with a focus on practical outcomes and measurable business value.
Improve organizational flow by building solutions that reduce bottlenecks, shorten lead times, and increase throughput. Measure success using flow metrics alongside adoption and ROI.
Integrate AI capabilities into existing systems and workflows using APIs, orchestration tools, and modern AI platforms, including GitLab Duo Agent Platform, where appropriate. The right tool wins, whether that's custom code, a platform, or a well-crafted prompt.
Be Customer Zero: leverage and showcase GitLab's AI offerings wherever possible, feeding real-world usage insights back to R&D.
Partner closely with stakeholders across functions to understand the real constraints. Ask the right questions, bridge technical and non-technical perspectives, and align on outcomes before jumping to solutions.
Define and track success through business metrics, flow metrics, and feedback loops that make performance visible and actionable.
Contribute to technical direction by evaluating tools, documenting patterns, and creating reusable foundations that help the team scale its impact.
What you'll bring
A Technologist at Heart -
Genuinely invested in technology, the foundational and the cutting-edge in equal measure. You're as energised by a well-designed API integration as you are by the latest foundation model release. You reach for the simplest solution that solves the problem well, rather than forcing new technology when proven approaches would do. AI is a powerful part of your toolkit, but it sits on top of solid engineering fundamentals, not in place of them.
Competent, Confident Coding Skills -
You can build working solutions end-to-end, write clean and maintainable code, and debug effectively. Whether your skills were honed in a traditional engineering role, through building automations, or shipping side projects, what matters is that you can deliver production-quality work independently.
AI
& LLM
Technical Depth -
Strong proficiency in at least one modern scripting language (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar) and a solid understanding of REST APIs, GraphQL, and integration patterns. Deep, practical experience with modern AI technologies, specifically: Prompt engineering as a core discipline: designing effective system prompts, managing context windows, structuring multi-turn interactions, evaluating output quality, and iterating systematically on prompt design.
Model selection and cost-performance trade-offs:
understanding when a smaller fine-tuned model outperforms a general-purpose large one, when RAG is the right architecture versus expanding the context window, and how to make principled decisions about capability versus cost.
Agentic architecture patterns:
tool use, multi-agent orchestration, human-in-the-loop designs, guardrails, evaluation frameworks, and production-grade reliability patterns.Practical fluency across the LLM ecosystem: hands-on experience with models from Anthropic, OpenAI, open-source alternatives, and the judgment to know which to reach for and when.
AI Safety & Risk Awareness -
You think critically about how the solutions you build could be exploited, misused, or produce unintended consequences. You know how to design appropriate guardrails (input validation, output filtering, access controls, prompt injection defences, and data leakage prevention) and you treat these as first-class engineering concerns.
Systems Thinking & Diagnostic Rigour -
The ability to look at a complex process and see the constraint. Comfortable mapping how work flows end-to-end, identifying bottlenecks, and tracing problems to root causes before proposing solutions. You instinctively ask "what's actually blocking flow here?" before asking "what model should I use?"
Business System Expertise -
Familiarity with the landscape of enterprise business systems, CRM (Salesforce), marketing automation (Marketo), support platforms (Zendesk), integration and orchestration tools (Workato), AI platforms (Relevance AI), and enterprise search and knowledge tools (Glean). You don't need deep experience with all of these, but to understand what they do, how they fit together, and be willing to build with and across them. A strong understanding of enterprise data models and workflows is essential.
Broad Functional Understanding -
Ability to have meaningful conversations with stakeholders across diverse domains and quickly understand their unique needs.
End-to-End Ownership -
Track record of owning complex initiatives from discovery through delivery. Comfortable operating with ambiguity and driving to measurable outcomes independently.
Product Mindset -
Ability to scope MVPs, prioritise ruthlessly, and deliver iteratively. In addition, consider adoption, user experience, and business outcomes.
Preferred requirements
Experience with GitLab platform and CI/CD workflows
Background in consulting, solutions engineering, or customer-facing technical roles
Familiarity with value stream mapping, flow metrics, or Theory of Constraints thinking
Experience with low-code/no-code orchestration tools (n8n, Make, Workato) alongside custom development
Previous startup or high-growth company experience
Experience mentoring or leading technical projects with junior engineers
About the team
You will join the Enterprise Technology & AI team. We're the backbone of the organisation, driving transformation in how GitLab team members make decisions, operate at scale, and deliver results for our customers.

- Hands-on Explorer: You don’t wait for a demo; you jump into Postman, call sandbox APIs, and prototype sync flows yourself to answer the tough questions.
- Precision Architect: You thrive in the details, crafting requirements that leave zero room for interpretation and ensuring our connectors are as reliable as they are functional.
- Metric-Minded Leader: You speak the language of SLOs and ARR, translating technical performance into commercial evidence that resonates with executive stakeholders.
