About ••••••••••••: helps expand access to high-quality early childhood education. We provide childcare providers with software, tools, and support to build and run sustainable businesses, and assist governments in modernizing childcare programs. Our products support critical everyday workflows for providers, families, and government partners.
The Role: We're looking for a highly technical, detail-oriented QA Engineer to lead quality across our government products, billing product, and products sold to childcare providers. You'll build an AI-driven QA practice while staying hands-on: investigating failures, writing automated tests, validating releases, and working directly with government customers. You'll bring technical depth to understand complex systems and attention to detail to catch problems before customers do.
What You'll Do:
— Lead QA across ••••••••••••.
— Own the testing strategy, prioritize highest-risk workflows, and establish clear standards for release readiness across products.
— Use AI daily: apply AI tools to generate test cases, write and maintain automation, explore edge cases, and accelerate debugging.
— Validate results and protect customer and government data.
— Test AI-powered products: build repeatable evaluations for accuracy, consistency, unsupported outputs, and unexpected behavior across real customer workflows.
— Build strong technical coverage: create and maintain UI and API tests, use SQL to verify data integrity, and integrate reliable regression and smoke tests into development and release processes.
— Protect billing accuracy: test invoices, payments, refunds, calculations, reconciliation, including failed transactions, retries, rounding, and duplicate charges.
— Represent •••••••••••• with government partners: meet stakeholders to understand requirements, lead user acceptance testing, explain issues clearly, and coordinate fixes and acceptance documentation.
— Make requirements testable: translate product requirements and government acceptance criteria into test plans, test cases, and documented results.
— Work closely with Engineering and Product: participate in Scrum planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives; help teams identify risks early, prioritize defects, and verify fixes.
— Improve quality over time: track escaped defects, recurring issues, test reliability, and release risks; turn findings into better coverage and processes.
Who You Are:
— Hands-on QA or quality engineering professional taking ownership from requirements through verified fixes.
— Highly detail-oriented, curious, and persistent.
— Able to notice inconsistencies, investigate edge cases, and follow issues through to resolution.
— Technically strong in test automation, API testing, SQL, debugging, and modern software development practices.
— Comfortable using AI extensively and able to demonstrate how it improves speed and depth of work.
— Clear communicator working effectively with engineers, product teams, and government stakeholders.
— Experienced in Agile teams and Scrum ceremonies.
— Comfortable managing competing priorities across multiple products in a fast-moving environment.
— Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate, with availability to work onsite 5–6 days per week.
— Experience with government systems, billing or payments, childcare software, and government-facing UAT is especially valuable.
What Success Looks Like:
— Most important workflows have dependable test coverage.
— Government UAT is organized and supported by clear evidence.
— Billing issues are caught before customers are affected.
— Teams understand release risks, and AI helps test faster and more thoroughly.
Compensation: Competitive compensation.
About the role
You are an architect for quality with the vision to define and build QA processes for any sort of app. You can work at any company in the world, but you choose us because you want to use your versatility and "nose for bugs" to solve new and interesting challenges. You are a champion of quality on multi-disciplined teams, blending a deep understanding of user experience with a technical approach to breaking systems. You are a thought partner to developers and product managers — someone who doesn't just find bugs but identifies systematic gaps. You are brilliant yet humble; a doer with high integrity who takes ownership of quality and enjoys a full life outside of work.
Note: This position is fully remote and open to candidates based anywhere in Poland or Portugal.
Key responsibilities
— Define and evolve the end-to-end QA strategy and processes for entire products, determining the most effective manual techniques to ensure "world-class" standards of quality
— Plan and perform exploratory and manual testing for complex features, going beyond specifications to ensure the user experience is intuitive and seamless
— Be the champion and source-of-truth for quality, helping both internal teams and clients identify systematic quality gaps while building processes to close them
— Evangelize "quality at the source" across the development lifecycle
— Own the documentation and reporting of quality metrics and bug tracking, ensuring the product team, engineers, and clients have clear visibility into project health
— Partner with the PMs and TPMs to define acceptance criteria and manage release approvals
— Lead cross-functional investigations into complex quality issues, driving them through to resolution with engineering and product teams
Qualifications
— 5+ years of experience in testing complex web, mobile, and API-based applications
— 2+ years of experience acting as a sole QA leading a project, with the ability to build a testing strategy from a blank slate
— A "nose for bugs" and the manual testing skills to break an app in ways a script might miss
— You understand user experience as much as code
— Strong understanding of client-server architecture, modern engineering stacks, and the ability to use DevTools and API clients (like Postman) to perform deep technical audits
— Practical understanding of how manual testing fits into a modern CI/CD pipeline and the ability to collaborate on release cycles
— Proficiency at maintaining test documentation and communicating test results to key stakeholders
— A mindset for risk-based testing, with the ability to clearly articulate technical risks and quality tradeoffs to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders
— A proactive personality who learns quickly while working independently and is always looking for ways to improve the "how" of building software
— Upper-Intermediate level of written and spoken English
What we offer
— Remote-first, flexible work with a budget to set up a work space that works for you
— Localized healthcare coverage to support you and your family’s wellbeing
— Flexible paid time off with a minimum of 3 weeks per year (plus holidays)
— "No internal meetings" Fridays, so you can focus on deep, uninterrupted work
— A professional growth budget for learning that matters to you – whether it’s developing your technical skills or learning a new language
— A monthly wellness allowance to support your physical and mental health
— Annual company offsites, where we gather in person to build meaningful connections
— A competitive salary that reflects your expertise, impact and experience
— Profit-sharing, so you can benefit directly from the value we build together
— A paid sabbatical program, designed for rest, renewal and fresh perspective
This role is open only to candidates currently living in Mexico or Latin America. Applications from other regions will not be considered.
Responsibilities:
— Analyze requirements and acceptance criteria before development starts, raising ambiguities and edge cases early.
— Design, document, and maintain test cases and test plans, ensuring traceability from requirements to defects.
— Run exploratory testing with defined charters and scope, finding issues beyond scripted tests.
— Own manual regression scope, deciding what to check each release based on risk.
— Triage production issues: reproduce, isolate, assign severity, escalate, and verify fixes.
— Design and produce complex test data involving multiple roles, permission levels, states, and high document volume.
— Validate permission hierarchies and tenant-level data isolation.
— Write detailed defect reports with steps, evidence, and environment details for asynchronous review.
— Communicate quality status and residual risk to stakeholders for informed release decisions.
— Collaborate with automation engineers to hand off stabilized cases and focus automated suites on critical areas.
Requirements:
— Minimum 5 years of software quality assurance experience, including 3 years testing complex, business-critical web applications.
— Strong command of test design techniques: equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis, decision tables, state transition testing.
— Experience with disciplined exploratory testing.
— Experience triaging production issues, distinguishing technical severity from business priority.
— Experience designing test data for multi-role, multi-permission scenarios.
— Working knowledge of SQL for data validation.
— Experience validating APIs with Postman or equivalent.
— Proficiency with Jira and test management tools like TestRail, Zephyr, or Xray.
— Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
— Experience in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban) and working across time zones with US Pacific business hours overlap.
— Ability to maintain quality under schedule pressure and explain technical risks in business terms.
Bonus Points:
— Ability to read, run, and interpret automated test suites (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium) without owning them.
— Experience testing document-heavy or highly configurable SaaS platforms.
— Experience in regulated industries such as legal, healthcare, or financial services.
— Familiarity with audit trails, access controls, and data retention requirements.
— ISTQB Foundation certification or equivalent formal training.
— Experience with accessibility testing against WCAG guidelines.
— Experience using AI-assisted tools for drafting test cases or summarizing exploratory sessions with validation judgment.

ABOUT US
Sierra is the leading platform for customer-facing AI agents, working with many of the world's biggest brands — including The GAP, Rocket Mortgage, SoFi, Sutter Health, and SoftBank — to transform how they serve customers and grow their businesses. We are primarily an in-person company based in San Francisco, with growing offices across North America, Europe, and Asia.
We are guided by a set of values that are at the core of our actions and define our culture: Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Intensity, and a commitment to balancing Family along the way. These values are the foundation of our work, and we are committed to upholding them in everything we do.
Our co-founders are Bret Taylor https://www.linkedin.com/in/brettaylor/ and Clay Bavor https://www.linkedin.com/in/claybavor/. Bret currently serves as Board Chair of OpenAI. Previously, he was co-CEO of Salesforce (which had acquired the company he founded, Quip) and CTO of Facebook. Bret was also one of Google's earliest product managers and co-creator of Google Maps. Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As an Agent Strategist https://sierra.ai/blog/agent-strategist-your-phd-in-applied-ai, you own how Sierra's AI agents come to life for our customers — from first pilot to a production agent handling thousands of conversations a day. You sit at the intersection of product, building agents and customer-facing work, and stay just as close to the technology as you are to the people you build for. You transform a customer's thorniest, highest-stakes problems into agents that measurably move their business.
- Own the Agent Development Life Cycle https://sierra.ai/blog/agent-development-life-cycle. Take agents from initial scope through conversation design, tooling, and evaluation, to launch and continuous iteration in production — translating business goals into an agent that outperforms, and tuning relentlessly until it's the best version of itself in the real world. You'll have real ownership and autonomy over the outcome.
- Be the trusted strategic advisor to enterprise leaders. Sit shoulder-to-shoulder with our customers' executives, understand what success actually means to their business, and shape the AI strategy that gets them there.
- Partner with the customer's working teams day to day. Run working sessions, troubleshoot the agent as issues come up, and make the calls that keep the build on track for launch.
- Directly impact product. Surface unmet needs from your customer work, and feed them back to research and platform to shape where Sierra goes next.
EXAMPLE PROJECTS
These are the kinds of projects that strategists on our team have worked on recently:
- Scope and launch a subscription-retention agent for a large telecommunications or media company that consistently outperforms human agents at saving at-risk customers.
- Stand up an agent for a commerce customer that troubleshoots a broken device end-to-end and personalizes product recommendations in the same conversation.
- Redesign the conversation flows for a financial services agent so it can handle complex, regulated interactions — and convert a pilot into a multi-team production deployment. See our financial services blog https://sierra.ai/blog/five-ways-to-use-ai-agents-financial-services for examples.
- Partner with product on a net-new capability — a new agent architecture or self-service tooling — using a live customer as the design partner.
- Define the evaluation and quality bar for a new agent, then use those metrics to drive a measurable lift in outcome https://sierra.ai/blog/outcome-based-pricing-for-ai-agents week over week.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Customer obsession. Genuine energy being in front of customers — understanding their business and needs, thriving in complex organizations, and building trusted relationships.
- Communication. Clear, direct, and persuasive across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strategic problem-solving in ambiguity. Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to break down complex problems, spot risks early, and adapt as things change fast.
- Technical aptitude. Comfortable engaging directly with technical concepts - reading API documentation, understanding data models and system architecture, and following engineering tradeoffs in a design discussion.
- Ownership and delivery. A track record of running multiple complex, high-visibility projects at once and driving them to outcomes.
EVEN BETTER...
- Experience building or deploying AI/LLM agents in production — hands-on with the tools behind them (eval frameworks, agent tooling, RAG, prompt engineering) — working closely with technical counterparts.
- You've been a founder, founding team member, or operator — you know how to balance craft, ownership, and speed.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience — and/or an MBA or comparable experience at the intersection of technology and business.
OUR VALUES
- Trust: We build trust with our customers with our accountability, empathy, quality, and responsiveness. We build trust in AI by making it more accessible, safe, and useful. We build trust with each other by showing up for each other professionally and personally, creating an environment that enables all of us to do our best work.
- Customer Obsession: We deeply understand our customers’ business goals and relentlessly focus on driving outcomes, not just technical milestones. Everyone at the company knows and spends time with our customers. When our customer is having an issue, we drop everything and fix it.
- Craftsmanship: We get the details right, from the words on the page to the system architecture. We have good taste. When we notice something isn’t right, we take the time to fix it. We are proud of the products we produce. We continuously self-reflect to continuously self-improve.
- Intensity: We know we don’t have the luxury of patience. We play to win. We care about our product being the best, and when it isn’t, we fix it. When we fail, we talk about it openly and without blame so we succeed the next time.
- Family: We know that balance and intensity are compatible, and we model it in our actions and processes. We are the best technology company for parents. We support and respect each other and celebrate each other’s personal and professional achievements.
WHAT WE OFFER
We want our benefits to reflect our values and offer the following to full-time employees:
- Flexible (unlimited) paid time off
- Medical, dental, and vision benefits for you and your family
- Life insurance and disability benefits
- Retirement plan dependent on country of employment
- Parental leave
- Fertility and family building benefits through Carrot
- Lunch, as well as delicious snacks and coffee to keep you energized
- Discretionary benefit stipend giving people the ability to spend where it matters most
- Free alphorn lessons
These benefits are further detailed in Sierra's policies, may vary by region, and are subject to change at any time, consistent with the terms of any applicable compensation or benefits plans. Eligible full-time employees can participate in Sierra's equity plans subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
BE YOU, WITH US
We're working to bring the transformative power of AI to every organization in the world. To do so, it is important to us that the diversity of our employees represents the diversity of our customers. We believe that our work and culture are better when we encourage, support, and respect different skills and experiences represented within our team. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't precisely match the job description. We strive to evaluate all applicants consistently without regard to race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, pregnancy, gender expression or identity, sexual orientation, citizenship, or any other legally protected class.

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Anthropic's Safeguards organization builds the policies, evaluations, and detection and enforcement systems that define and hold the limits on how Claude can be used. Within Safeguards, our Policy, Enforcement, and Threat Intelligence teams work as one org: Policy Design defines what is and isn't allowed across harm areas, Enforcement detects and acts on violations, and Threat Intelligence investigates sophisticated misuse and emerging threats.
That work runs across a lot of teams and moves fast. A single decision can touch model training, detection systems, product launches, legal review, and external communications. As the org's program manager, you'll keep all of it moving: tracking the portfolio across all three teams, running the processes that connect their work to each other and to the rest of the company, and making sure the right people are aligned before decisions land.
Your work will include the operating rhythm (planning, priorities, status, and decision tracking), launch and release readiness across policy, enforcement, and threat intelligence workstreams, and the processes that support how we share our work externally, including blog posts, threat reports, and other publications. You'll work closely with the org's leadership to spot risks early, clear blockers, and keep everyone pointed in the same direction.
This role is a good fit for someone who brings structure to ambiguous, fast-moving work without adding overhead, and who can earn the trust of policy experts, researchers, and engineers alike.
Important context for this role: some of the work may involve exposure to explicit content, including material of a sexual, violent, or psychologically disturbing nature. It also may require late nights or weekend work.
Key responsibilities
Own cross-functional program management for the Policy Design, Enforcement and Threat Intel teams, keeping workstreams across harm areas on track and visible to leadership
Run the team's operating rhythm: quarterly planning, priority setting, status tracking, and a clear record of decisions, who made them, and why
Coordinate policy work with partner teams across research, product, engineering, legal, and communications, so dependencies are surfaced early and nothing lands on a partner as a surprise
Drive readiness for policy, enforcement, and threat intelligence work tied to model launches and product releases, including timelines, reviews, and sign-offs
Own the process for the org's external publications, including blog posts and threat reports, from idea through drafting, review, approvals, and publication
Identify risks, blockers, and resourcing gaps across the portfolio, and escalate them with a proposed path forward
Build lightweight processes and tools that make the team faster, and retire the ones that stop earning their keep
Minimum qualifications
Experience running cross-functional programs in a fast-moving technical environment, with a track record of shipping on time across teams you don't manage
Ability to bring structure to ambiguous work: breaking big goals into plans, owners, and milestones, and keeping them current as priorities shift
Strong written communication, including clear status updates, decision records, and summaries for executive audiences
Experience managing review and approval processes with multiple stakeholders, such as publications, launches, or policy releases
Judgment about when a process helps and when it's overhead, and a bias toward the lightest process that works
Comfort working on sensitive topics and holding high standards for confidentiality
Preferred qualifications
Program management experience in trust & safety, product policy, enforcement operations, threat intelligence, or AI safety
Familiarity with how AI models are developed and launched, and how policy, enforcement, and threat intelligence work plug into that cycle
Experience coordinating external publications, research releases, or public communications
Experience using AI tools, including agentic tools, to automate tracking, reporting, and other recurring program work

Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
For roles performing work in California:
We will consider for employment all qualified applicants, including those with arrest or conviction records or criminal histories, in a manner consistent with the requirements of applicable state and local laws, including the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, the City of Los Angeles’ Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers, and the California Fair Chance Act.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

Why Sony Interactive Entertainment?
Sony Interactive Entertainment isn’t just the Best Place to Play — it’s also the Best Place to Work. Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is the company behind the PlayStation brand. As a subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation, we’re part of a proud legacy of innovation and excellence. SIE is a dynamic technology company, delivering cutting-edge hardware and network services to more than 100 million people and an entertainment leader, home to some of the most beloved and recognizable intellectual properties (IP) in the world. Our role at SIE is to create and nurture the experiences under the PlayStation brand, a name synonymous with entertainment excellence and creativity.
Senior Software Engineer - AI & Agentic Architecture
This is a senior individual-contributor role combining deep hands-on engineering with multiple agentic frameworks & SDKs, harnesses, MCP, and APIs, technical leadership, and close collaboration with engineering, security, and product teams. You'll design and ship agentic systems, developer tooling, and reusable platform capabilities that improve productivity across SIE.
What you'll do:
Agentic & AI Engineering
Design, build, and operate production-quality agentic applications using agentic SDKs/harnesses — including multi-agent orchestration, subagent delegation, tool integration, and lifecycle hooks.
Design Model Context Protocol (MCP) tool and resource interfaces that give coding agents/harnesses safe, reliable access to backend systems and enterprise data.
Engineer prompts for reliable structured output (JSON schemas, few-shot examples, validation/retry loops) and build evaluation frameworks to measure and improve output quality.
Manage context effectively across long documents, multi-turn conversations, and multi-agent handoffs; design escalation and human-in-the-loop patterns for production reliability.
Developer Productivity
Configure and extend Codex/Claude Code for team-wide use:
AGENTS.md/CLAUDE.md
hierarchies, custom slash commands, Agent Skills, path-specific rules, and plan mode.
Integrate agentic development into CI/CD pipelines for automated code review, test generation, and PR feedback, tuned to minimize false positives and duplicate findings.
Build and maintain MCP server integrations (project- and user-scoped) that extend agent-native development capabilities across engineering workflows.
Identify high-value opportunities for AI-assisted development and design reusable capabilities that multiple teams can adopt, not just one-off solutions.
Discovery, Prototyping & Production Delivery
Partner directly with engineering teams to understand workflows, pain points, and opportunities through hands-on discovery.
Rapidly prototype and validate new AI capabilities with real users, then take successful prototypes into secure, observable, maintainable production systems.
Own the full lifecycle: implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
Technical Leadership
Provide hands-on technical leadership through architecture discussions, code reviews, and troubleshooting of agentic systems.
Mentor engineers on agentic design patterns, prompt engineering, and agent-native development practices.
Communicate tradeoffs, risks, and results clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Contribute to engineering standards, reusable patterns, and documentation that help other teams build effectively with agentic development tools.
Requirements
6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant hands-on work building and operating AI/LLM-powered or agentic applications.
Strong programming skills (Java, Python, Go, Rust, or C++) and solid engineering fundamentals — API design, testing, debugging, code review, maintainable code.
Practical, production-grade experience with agentic SDKs/harnesses, MCP, and LLMs — tool use, orchestration, RAG, context management, structured output, and evaluation.
Experience designing MCP tool/resource interfaces and reasoning about tool selection, error handling, and reliability in multi-agent systems.
Demonstrated experience integrating AI into CI/CD and developer workflows.
Ability to work in ambiguous problem spaces, evaluate tradeoffs, and make pragmatic engineering decisions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience mentoring and leading through influence.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise across agentic architecture, MCP integration, Codex/Claude Code configuration, prompt engineering, and context management.
Experience building multi-agent research or customer support systems, or structured data extraction pipelines.
Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitOps in support of AI/agentic infrastructure.
Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, and AI evaluation frameworks.
Contributions to open-source projects involving AI, agentic systems, or developer tooling.
Strong systems thinking — understands how models, agents, tools, context, APIs, data, and infrastructure fit together as production systems, and can reason about dependencies and tradeoffs across the stack.
A track record of adapting quickly to new AI tools, models, and frameworks as the space evolves.
At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
