This is an opportunity to run the worldwide Telco Field Engineering business, helping customers understand and implement Canonical's open source solutions in public clouds and in their own data centers. We work across the entire spectrum of cloud offerings, from Ubuntu itself to virtualisation and private cloud, Kubernetes, and the implementation of sophisticated open source solutions such as MLops platforms, data platforms and more. The Telco department is composed of three regional teams (APAC, EMEA and AMER).
We believe that Engineering Directors should be outstanding engineers themselves. They should feel completely at home troubleshooting technical issues and having technical presales conversations with customers. They should contribute to project delivery themselves, but know that the technical contributions they bring are far less significant than their ability to shape the whole team’s direction, focus and delivery. We grow management skills and train engineers, who are interested in soft skills, to be managers.
We believe that open source is just starting to transform the tech sector and enterprise compute. Our goal is to make open source easier, more reliable and more secure for deployment and development. We strive to be the provider of ‘most software to most companies’. To deliver on that ambition, our engineers are carefully selected from the applicants across the globe. We select for brilliance and motivation to take open source to the next level. Our engineering managers help teams achieve more than they realised they could, and feel proud of the result.
The role of a Telco Field Engineering Director at Canonical

The portfolio of products includes on-premise cloud solutions such as Openstack, MicroCloud and Ceph, and solutions that could be deployed either on-premises or in public clouds such as Kubernetes, Kubeflow, Spark, PostgreSQL, etc. The team works hands-on with the technologies by deploying, testing and handing over the solution to our support or managed services team at the end of a project. Managers and team members also take part in presales conversations to provide technical advice during the sales process.
Within the Field Engineering department, there are multiple focused teams : the Cloud/DC team, the Alliances/Partners team, the IoT team, and the Telco team.
The telco industry is moving to software-defined services. This transformation is driven by open source software, cloud computing and the move to VNF / CNF approaches. Canonical Ubuntu is a key platform for telco innovation, and we are growing our team of specialists who work in the industry to accelerate the change.
Canonical enables operators and communications service providers to embrace this new world, with a focus on platforms such as Ubuntu, OpenStack, and Kubernetes, and reusable, high quality automation for operations at scale.

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

About Finom
Finom is a European tech startup headquartered in Amsterdam, and we’re on a journey towards revolutionizing the financial landscape for entrepreneurs worldwide. Our mission is to develop an all-in-one financial B2B solution that integrates banking functions, accounting, financial management, and invoicing into a seamless, mobile-first platform.
We recently closed a €115 million Series C equity round (around $133 million), bringing our total funding to approximately $346 million. This significant investment follows a $105 million growth funding round from General Catalyst, a long-term backer since 2021 known for supporting companies like Airbnb, HubSpot, KAYAK, and Stripe.
Finom's platform goes beyond traditional banking, offering invoicing and a growing suite of features, including AI-enabled accounting, aiming to simplify financial management for entrepreneurs. We're actively expanding our reach across key EU markets like Germany, France, the Netherlands, Italy, and Spain.
At Finom, we’re not just redefining the entrepreneurial experience — we’re empowering our employees to make a real difference. Your work matters, and your impact extends far beyond product metrics. We nurture innovation and an inspiring work environment where bold ideas thrive, prioritizing thorough research, swift implementation of solutions, and ensuring that every effort we make benefits our users, employees, partners, and our business as a whole.
Maintaining our start-up spirit, we prioritize thorough research, swift implementation of solutions, and ensuring that every effort we make benefits our users, employees, partners, and, of course, our business.
The Role
For hundreds of thousands of European entrepreneurs, our iOS app is Finom. It's how they check their cash flow over morning coffee, approve a payment between client meetings, and freeze a card the moment something looks off. We're mobile-first by conviction, not convenience — the app isn't a companion to the "real" product; it is the product. And as an AI-native platform, the features you build increasingly carry intelligence inside them: AI-powered accounting, smart categorization, and agentic workflows that quietly save business owners hours every week. When you ship something great, someone somewhere feels it the same day.
That's why we're not looking for someone to implement tickets. We're looking for a Senior Mobile (iOS) Engineer who thinks like a product builder — someone who cares deeply about the "why" behind what they're building, challenges assumptions when needed, and proactively spots opportunities to create better outcomes.
You'll be embedded in a cross-functional domain team — Backend, Mobile, ML/AI, QA, Design, and Product — that owns a shared product area end-to-end. No handoff culture, no "not my layer": everyone in the team is solving the same customer problem, and you'll shape solutions from the first product conversation to the moment the feature is live in users' hands. Fewer silos means more flow — and real, end-to-end ownership.
How We Build
Agentic development is table stakes at Finom — for every craft, mobile included. Our engineers work with Claude Code and similar harnesses daily, and we've made it a first-class part of how the company operates, not an individual productivity hack. We follow a shared SDLC approach built around Spec-Driven Development (SDD): features start as clear, reviewable specs that both humans and AI agents execute against, powered by a shared AI development toolbelt and a growing library of skills, rules, and context maintained across guilds. You won't be figuring out AI-assisted development alone — you'll join an engineering organization that has already invested in the infrastructure, standards, and shared practices, and you'll be expected to use them, improve them, and raise the bar for others.
What You'll Do
What You'll Do
Design and build new features for our iOS application, used daily by business owners across Europe: multi-account cash flow management, banking transactions and payments, physical and virtual card issuance and control, and AI-powered accounting automation.
Own outcomes, not just code. You'll follow your features into analytics, jump into customer issues without being prompted, and care about whether what you shipped actually moved the needle.
Build polished, responsive UIs with UIKit and SwiftUI — in a financial app, trust is built (or lost) in the details.
Drive technical decisions within your domain, discuss trade-offs openly with product managers, and explain constraints clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Raise the bar on engineering quality — automated testing, thorough code reviews, and mobile security best practices are non-negotiable in a regulated fintech.
Mentor the engineers around you and contribute to CI/CD pipelines, tooling, and mobile best practices across the team.
Who You Are
Who You Are
You're pragmatic, learn quickly, and have a proven track record of shipping products that matter. Above all, you're curious — about the product, the users, the business, and how your technical decisions impact all three.
Curiosity.
You want to understand the "why" behind every feature. You ask what problem it solves, question whether there's a simpler path, and explore how your decisions ripple into product, users, and revenue.
Business acumen.
You connect your work to company objectives. You understand the "so what" behind every decision, and you'd rather ship the feature that moves the right metric than the one that's merely interesting to build.
Communication.
You communicate clearly and concisely in English across technical and non-technical audiences — from fellow engineers to PMs to business stakeholders — and you genuinely enjoy the dynamics of a cross-functional team.
T-shapedness.
Your iOS craft runs deep, but your curiosity runs wide. You'll peek at the backend contracts, ask questions about the ML models, and dive into analytics to understand how your features perform.
Ownership.
You take responsibility not just for your code, but for the outcomes. You move without being prompted — whether that's improving team processes, jumping on a production issue, or mentoring a colleague.
Your Experience Includes
5+ years of commercial iOS development with strong knowledge of Swift.
Deep understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
Practical experience with the VIPER architectural pattern and the Coordinator navigation pattern — and the judgment to know when a simpler approach serves the product better.
Excellent knowledge of UIKit and experience (or a strong desire to grow) with SwiftUI.

We're looking for a Senior iOS Engineer who thinks like a product builder — someone who cares deeply about the "why" behind what they're building, not just the tickets in the backlog.
You'll be embedded in a cross-functional domain team (Backend, Mobile, ML/AI, QA, Design, and Product) and own the end-to-end development of features that genuinely matter: company accounts and cash flows, banking transactions, card issuance and management, and AI-enabled accounting. You'll help shape architecture decisions, raise the bar on engineering quality, and mentor the engineers around you.
If you're energized by working at the intersection of great mobile engineering and real product impact — this is the role.
What You'll Do
Design and build new features for our iOS application, used daily by business owners across Europe.
Architect and implement reliable, intuitive solutions for:
Multi-account cash flow management
Banking transactions and payments
Physical and virtual card issuance, activation, and control
AI-powered accounting automation
Build polished, responsive UIs using
UIKit
and
SwiftUI
.
Take ownership of code quality, performance, and stability — automated testing and thorough code reviews are non-negotiable.
Collaborate closely with Backend, QA, Design, and Product — you'll be shaping solutions end-to-end, not just implementing specs.
Drive technical decisions within your domain, challenge assumptions when needed, and proactively identify opportunities to build better.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, tooling, and mobile best practices across the team
Who You Are
You're pragmatic and have a proven track record of shipping products that matter. You communicate clearly across disciplines and thrive in a cross-functional environment where everyone is solving the same customer problem together.

Deep understanding of
OOP
,
SOLID
principles, and design patterns.
Practical experience using the
VIPER
architectural pattern and the

SnapKit
or similar tools.
Confidence with
Git / GitLab
, including the ability to set up and use
GitLab CI/CD
.
Ability to write unit and UI tests.
A builder's mentality — you care about the product, the users, and the outcomes, not just the code.
Clear, concise communication in English across technical and non-technical audiences.

AI agents and LLM tools
(Claude, Cursor, Copilot, etc.) — setting up agent environments, writing prompts, skills, and behavioral rules.
Experience with
AI-powered IDE tools
(Cursor, Windsurf, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, etc.) — including agent mode, rules files configuration, and integrating AI into the daily development workflow.
Understanding of model
capabilities and limitations
— knowing which model fits which task and how to manage the context window effectively.

LEAP Program Description
Global Solutions Ventures (GSV) – a joint-venture partnership between ZemiTek, LLC and Dexis Consulting Group – is implementing the Long-term Exceptional Technical Assistance Project (LEAP Global), a mechanism originally used by USAID to battle against infectious diseases such as malaria, HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, neglected tropical diseases, and pandemic influenza. As of July 1, 2025, LEAP Global transitioned to the U.S. Department of State (DOS). This initiative aims to address the complex human resource challenges faced by national infectious disease programs in the USA-supported countries.
The intervention of this project is to hire and embed technical expert advisors and subject matter experts within government entities. By directly embedding the technical expertise within the national programs, LEAP provides long-term, sustainable lifesaving support to empower host governments to lead and manage key aspects of their infectious disease portfolios and improve coordination between the U.S. Government and the host country.

Overall Objective of Assignment
The Supply Chain Technical Advisor will serve as a senior technical advisor in strategic planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of supply chain and procurement aspects of Botswana’s HIV/AIDS portfolio, within an integrated health systems approach. You excel at turning complex usage patterns into actionable insights, influencing technical teams, and establishing a culture of cost accountability and data-driven decision-making. You balance tactical optimizations with long-term architectural improvements and know how to navigate both engineering conversations and executive discussions.
If you’re passionate about building scalable FinOps practices in a fast-growing, product-led company—and want to directly impact how we run and scale our global platform—we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing
Business & Team Leadership
Own the overall frontend team across core business verticals including Trading and Payment, covering hiring, development, and pipeline building. Partner effectively with Product, Backend, Security, and Compliance — driving cross-functional outcomes through technical judgment, not just execution.
Product Delivery & Technical Execution
Lead technical design and delivery for core business features including trading system frontend experience, wallet and asset management, AI-powered trading products, payment gateway integrations, and KYC/AML frontend implementation. Stay deeply sensitive to business metrics and user experience, making sound trade-offs between speed and quality.
Product & Engineering Thinking in the AI Era
Demonstrate deep understanding of how AI is reshaping product paradigms — changing user expectations, product form factors, and R&D efficiency. Integrate AI into product decisions and design, not merely as a productivity tool.
Technical Judgment & Standard-Setting
Drive tech stack alignment and evolution. Proactively identify and address technical risk. Establish high engineering quality standards in complex crypto security contexts — private key security, frontend attack prevention, compliance auditing, and more.
Cross-Team Influence
Build dual technical and business influence at the company level. Communicate technical value and business judgment clearly to engineers, product managers, and senior leadership alike. Participate in industry engagements to attract high-potential talent who are genuinely passionate about crypto.
What We Look For In You
Bachelor's degree or above in CS or related field; 10+ years of engineering experience including 5+ years managing technical teams; solid full-stack capabilities with frontend depth
Deep command of core frontend technologies (React/Vue internals, engineering toolchains, performance optimization, cross-platform solutions), with enough backend and API fluency to drive substantive technical discussions
Proven track record leading frontend for products with DAU 1M+ in high-concurrency, high-availability environments
Demonstrated experience driving cross-team collaboration and standard adoption through technical influence rather than organizational authority
Genuine understanding of and enthusiasm for crypto — familiar with CEX/DEX trading mechanics, Web3 wallet and signing mechanisms, and mainstream payment gateway ecosystems.
Deep understanding of how AI is reshaping product design; can integrate AI into product decisions rather than treating it purely as a development accelerator
Perks & Benefits
Competitive total compensation package
L&D programs and Education subsidy for employees' growth and development
Various team building programs and company events
Wellness and meal allowances
Comprehensive healthcare schemes for employees and dependants
