ClickHouse is looking for an experienced engineer to join our Observability organization. We are hiring across two closely aligned teams: Observability Platform and Internal Observability.
Together, these teams build and operate the systems behind ClickHouse’s internal observability and ClickStack Cloud. Our platforms process trillions of events per day, sustaining throughput in the hundreds of millions of events per second. The experience we gain operating observability at ClickHouse scale feeds directly back into the platform and product we provide to customers.
The Observability Platform team builds shared systems for telemetry ingestion, durable buffering, processing, storage, autoscaling, and service provisioning. The Internal Observability team operates ClickHouse’s company-wide observability platform and works with engineering teams to improve reliability, debugging, and operational efficiency.
This is a software engineering role at the intersection of distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and production operations. You will build systems, operate what you build, respond to incidents, and turn recurring operational problems into durable software and automation.
Your background may be in backend engineering, infrastructure, SRE, or systems engineering. What matters most is your ability to solve ambiguous production problems, make sound engineering tradeoffs, and take ownership from design through operation.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Design, build, and operate distributed systems that ingest, process, and store telemetry at very high scale.
- Own the reliability, performance, capacity, and cost-efficiency of telemetry pipelines and storage systems.
- Participate in the on-call rotation, help resolve production incidents, and drive root-cause fixes through to completion.
- Build software and automation that eliminate repetitive operational work and make the platform easier to operate.
- Identify architectural bottlenecks and help shape the roadmap for the next stage of scale.
- Work closely with product, infrastructure, and service teams across ClickHouse.
- Contribute to architecture and design reviews and help raise engineering quality across the team.
HOW YOU WORK
- You take ownership and proactively improve the systems around you.
- You are comfortable debugging unfamiliar distributed systems in production.
- You make pragmatic tradeoffs between reliability, performance, delivery speed, and cost.
- You communicate clearly in a remote, async-friendly environment.
- You prefer incremental delivery: ship a focused solution, validate it in production, and improve it based on evidence.
- You address the underlying cause of operational problems rather than repeatedly treating the symptoms.
TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of experience building and operating production systems at scale.
- Strong proficiency in Go.
- Experience building and operating services on Kubernetes.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code and GitOps tooling such as Terraform, Helm, and Argo CD.
- Production experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Hands-on experience with telemetry systems such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, or comparable technologies.
BONUS POINTS
- Experience with ClickHouse.
- Experience with high-throughput ingestion, streaming, queueing, or storage systems.
- Experience building multi-tenant cloud services.
- Experience optimizing infrastructure for both performance and cost.
- Experience with TypeScript.

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
As the Manager of Commercial Applied AI Architects at Anthropic, you will drive adoption of frontier AI across our mid-market and SMB customers by leading a team of technical architects who help companies build and deploy with the Claude API, Claude Code, the Agent SDK, and Claude for Enterprise. Commercial is one of Anthropic's largest and fastest-moving books of business: thousands of companies, a rapidly growing sales team, and a small group of architects whose job is to change deal outcomes where technical depth matters most. Your team's leverage does not come from being everywhere. It comes from choosing the right accounts to go deep on, then turning what they learn there into blueprints, demos, tooling, and enablement that reach the rest of the book.
You will bring your own builder credibility and technical judgment to the role. Our architects ship working code: prototypes, eval frameworks, near-production examples that customers extend, and internal tooling that scales the team itself. You do not need to be the strongest engineer in the room, but you should expect to be in the work with your team, not just reviewing it from above. When an architect is deep in a hard engagement, you will often be right there alongside them, unblocking, pairing, and pressure-testing, while the account itself stays theirs.
This is a first-line leadership role reporting to the Head of Applied AI, Commercial. You will start by managing a team of architects and are expected to help grow it well beyond its current size, partnering with Commercial sales leadership on coverage, qualification, and where technical investment pays off. You will co-own the strategy for how Applied AI shows up in the Commercial segment, and you will be judged on your team's outcomes and growth, not your own.
Responsibilities:
Manage, coach, and grow a team of Commercial Applied AI Architects, setting a high bar for technical credibility, customer impact, and speed
Own hiring for your team as it scales, defining the profile, running the loop, and building onboarding that gets new architects into customer conversations quickly
Set goals and run reviews for your team, and develop each architect's career with clear, direct feedback
Decide where your team's depth goes. Own the qualification and prioritization framework for Applied AI engagement across a very large book, and be comfortable saying no
Work alongside your architects on their most consequential engagements, from technical discovery through deployment and expansion, and model what great looks like without taking the work off their plate
Build and own the segment's technical playbooks for Claude API integrations, Claude Code rollouts, agentic architectures on the Agent SDK, and Claude for Enterprise deployments, and turn account-level wins into reusable assets that scale one-to-many
Partner closely with Commercial sales leadership and Account Executives to co-build segment strategy, tighten the AE-to-architect operating model, and drive adoption across mid-market and SMB
Ensure your team consistently surfaces how mid-market companies are building with Claude, and translate that signal into actionable feedback for Product and Engineering
Represent Anthropic technically at customer sites, workshops, roadshows, and events, and contribute to thought leadership through content and speaking
Stay ahead of the AI engineering landscape, including agentic architectures, eval design, context engineering, and developer tooling, and keep your team operating at the frontier
You may be a good fit if you:
Have 7+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles (Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, or similar), with 3+ years managing pre-sales or technical go-to-market teams
Know how to hire well, coach effectively, give hard feedback kindly, and create an environment where builders do their best work
Have led technical teams in a high-velocity, high-volume sales motion, where the constraint is your team's capacity rather than pipeline, and have a real point of view on how to allocate scarce technical talent across a large book
Bring builder credibility. You have built and deployed LLM-powered applications, you understand what separates a prototype from a production system, and you can hold your own with a customer's engineering leadership
Have hands-on familiarity with agentic architectures, LLM evaluation, and modern AI developer tooling, and can coach architects through the design decisions their customers face
Have a systems mindset. When you see a problem, your instinct is to build one thing that serves ten customers rather than ten things that serve one
Are comfortable in ambiguous, early-stage environments where the playbook does not exist yet, and have a track record of building structure as you go
Have strong executive presence and can build trust with technical and business leaders alike
Have a genuine passion for making powerful technology safe and societally beneficial
Strong candidate may have:
Scaled a technical pre-sales or forward-deployed team from a handful of people to a mature function, including defining the hiring bar, onboarding programs, and coaching systems from scratch
Sold to and built for mid-market companies, with a clear understanding of how technical buying decisions differ between a 500-person company and a Fortune 500
Rolled out AI coding assistants or developer tools inside engineering organizations, and know how those teams evaluate, adopt, and measure them
A visible technical presence through conference talks, written content, or open-source contributions

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

Anthropic trains and serves Claude across multiple cloud providers and accelerator platforms. The Platform Portability team owns the abstractions, tooling, and deployment infrastructure that make this possible without every engineering and research team needing to become experts in different clouds.
As an engineer on Platform Portability, you'll design and build the systems that let us bring up new capacity, ship our platform to cloud provider platforms & marketplaces, and move workloads between providers with confidence. You'll work closely with our cloud partners on capabilities we need that don't exist yet, and with internal Compute, Inference, and Security teams to make "which cloud is this running on?" a question most engineers at Anthropic never have to ask. Your work directly determines how quickly and reliably we can put safe, frontier AI in front of users — wherever they are.
What you'll do
Our work splits into two workstreams, and we need your help across both.
Portable infrastructure.
We build the provider-agnostic abstractions for storage, messaging, and connectivity that let Anthropic's systems run on any cloud, and they have to hold up at the scale of frontier model inference. You'll design and build those abstractions, plus the tooling that lets internal teams provision, configure, and operate services across clouds through one consistent interface. You'll also hunt down the provider-specific assumptions hiding in our codebase and set the patterns that keep new ones from creeping in.
Claude on partner clouds.
We ship Claude onto third-party cloud platforms, and every launch has to be repeatable. You'll own that delivery end to end, including the build, release, and validation pipelines behind it. You'll work directly with engineering teams at our cloud partners and internal infrastructure stakeholders to land the features we need, debug platform issues, and influence their roadmaps. Expect to go deep on native integrations with each provider, and to do the cross-cutting work that keeps our platform consistent across all of them.
Across both, you'll shape how the rest of Anthropic builds for multiple clouds. You'll review designs with cloud-portability implications, mentor engineers across the org on multi-cloud patterns, and bring internal stakeholders into alignment through clear writing and conversation. You'll also take your turn in the on-call rotation, and you'll design the postmortems, runbooks, and incident response that help us never fail the same way twice.
You might be a good fit if you:
Have a minimum of 8 years of practical experience building and operating production distributed systems
Own large-scale infrastructure systems and lead ambiguous, cross-team technical projects from design through production
Run the same production workload across multiple cloud providers, including the migration or abstraction work that made it possible
Understand how cloud IAM models and networking primitives (VPC peering, private connectivity, service mesh) differ across providers
Write production code in at least one general-purpose programming language (e.g., Python, Go, or Rust)
Work confidently with Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi)
Understand ML infrastructure and supporting interconnects
Ship software through hyperscaler marketplaces or managed-model platforms
Bring a background in security, compliance, or data residency for regulated or sovereign cloud environments
Care about the societal impacts of your work and Anthropic's mission to build safe, beneficial AI
Deadline to apply:
None. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Preference will be given to candidates based in NY, SEA, SF or the Bay Area given the current location of team.

Claude is now good at security work. It finds and fixes vulnerabilities in real codebases, triages alerts, and reasons about how an attacker would move through a system, and it improves with every model we ship. Many security platforms build on Claude and we shipped our first security product this year (Claude Security).
You'll lead the cybersecurity product at Anthropic. That means setting the strategy, deciding what we build and where we partner, shipping products, and being the company's voice with CISOs, security vendors, and researchers. Some of this is 0→1 (our first-party products are a few months old and the next ones don't exist yet) and some of it is scaling what already works. Security touches nearly every team at the company.
Key responsibilities
Set Anthropic's cybersecurity product portfolio strategy and be accountable for the results.
Ship security products. Vulnerability discovery and remediation in Claude Code today and a broader set of capabilities in the future.
Represent Anthropic on security externally, with CISOs, vendors, researchers, governments, and press.
Partner with research. Know where the model falls short on security tasks and help build a plan to improve.
Work with safeguards and policy on model access for Cybersecurity.
Keep the cross-functional threads moving across research, engineering, sales, safeguards, policy, legal, and comms.
Minimum qualifications
You've spent meaningful time in security, whether building security products, running a security team, or doing the work yourself in application security, detection and response, vulnerability research, or offensive security.
You've built products or businesses from scratch and taken them to paying customers.
You design for where the models will be rather than where they are. You treat what the model can't do yet as a research target with a reliability bar, and you know what to ship in the meantime.
You have strong product judgment and enough technical depth to read a finding and tell whether it's real.
You're willing to do the unglamorous work.
You communicate well with CISOs, researchers, and executives alike.
Preferred qualifications
12+ years of experience building and shipping products, especially in the security space .
Fluency with AI products: evaluations, model behavior as part of the product surface
Technical background or experience working closely with infrastructure/platform teams
Strong technical judgment with ability to go deep on security and infrastructure topics
Structured thinking and ability to break down complex compliance requirements into shippable features
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
Annual Salary:
$385,000

Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study:
A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience:
Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work.

SIE is a dynamic technology company, delivering cutting-edge hardware and network services to more than 100 million people and an entertainment leader, home to some of the most beloved and recognizable intellectual properties (IP) in the world. Our role at SIE is to create and nurture the experiences under the PlayStation brand, a name synonymous with entertainment excellence and creativity.
Senior Software Engineer – Applied AI & Streaming
Aliso Viejo, CA
The vision
We think AI will change what cloud gaming can be. It can make streamed play faster, more personal, and more accessible, and in some ways better than playing locally. As a Senior Software Engineer on our team, you'll build agents and inference-backed systems into a real-time streaming platform and ship them to players. You'll work where AI meets performance-sensitive systems, and a lot of the problems here are still being defined.
What you'll do
Design, prototype, and ship AI-powered capabilities across our streaming platform and player experience.
Apply inference and agents to real-time performance, player engagement, personalization, and accessibility.
Use AI to understand, optimize, and evolve large existing codebases, including our streaming stack.
Build and extend our platform in C++, and help shape the technologies and architecture we use next.
Build what production AI needs: evaluation, telemetry, guardrails, fallbacks, and attention to latency and cost.
Turn ambiguous ideas into demos and experiments, measure what works, and harden it for production.
Work AI-natively every day, using coding agents, automation, and rapid exploration, and help the team do the same.
Work with a small, focused engineering team and with partners across streaming, platform, and cloud.
You're a great fit if you have
A BS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Senior-level software engineering experience with a track record of owning complex systems end to end.
Strong C++ skills from professional work in production codebases.
Hands-on experience building and deploying agents or AI-powered features in production. You've worked through evals, regressions, latency, cost, and the ways these systems fail.
A strong grasp of how to turn models into products, including context and prompt design, tool use and orchestration, memory and retrieval, model selection, and where inference should run.
Fluency with AI-native engineering workflows.
Product judgment. You can tell when AI makes an experience better and when it's a gimmick.
The ability to work in ambiguity, move quickly, and keep momentum as priorities change.
Clear communication, strong ownership, and a habit of making the people around you better.
Bonus XP
Python, Rust, or other languages used to build and serve AI systems.
Low-latency or on-device inference, model optimization, or GPU experience.
Real-time media, game streaming, graphics, or video experience.
Cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, or production platform experience.
Experience building conversational or agentic experiences for games or interactive products.
Linux or Windows systems experience.
Japanese language or cross-cultural collaboration experience.
You enjoy playing video games.
Why join us
Work on AI problems most engineers never get to. In real-time systems, every millisecond counts, and so does every inference call.
Help set the direction. Our AI strategy is still taking shape, and you'll help decide what we build, not just how.
Get real ownership. You'll join a small, senior team where ideas go from prototype to production quickly.

We are looking for experienced backend and distributed systems engineers to join the Agentic Systems team within our Platform organization. Agentic Systems builds Claude Managed Agents: the hosted platform for building, running, and scaling production agents on Claude. Instead of every developer hand-rolling an agent loop, sandboxed execution, state management, credential handling, and error recovery — and reworking all of it with every model release — Managed Agents pairs an Anthropic-built agent harness with production infrastructure for sessions, environments, tools, memory, and permissions, exposed through a small set of composable APIs designed to stay stable as models and harnesses evolve. It powers agentic products inside Anthropic as well as those built by customers on the Claude Platform.
Managed Agents is in public beta and growing quickly, and this is still an early team with a lot of surface area left to define. You'll drive 0 → 1 efforts from ideation through GA, own systems end to end from API design through operations, and partner closely with product, research, developer experience, and go-to-market teams to figure out what "managed" should mean for the next generation of agents. You should be comfortable going deep on hard distributed systems problems, care about APIs as a product in their own right, and be motivated by turning ambiguous ideas into high-quality, shipped platform capabilities that other engineers build their products on.
What you'll do
Scale the platform.
Managed Agents runs long-lived, stateful sessions that execute autonomously for minutes or hours/days, persist through disconnections, and resume cleanly — across Anthropic-hosted sandboxes, self-hosted environments on customer infrastructure, and other clouds. You'll design and operate the systems underneath that: durable session and event storage, sandbox orchestration, streaming, scheduling, and multi-tenant isolation. Reliability, latency, and cost efficiency are product features here, and you'll own them in production.
Evolve the harness — and prove it with evals.
The harness is the loop that calls Claude, routes tool calls, manages context (caching, compaction, memory), and recovers from errors. Harnesses encode assumptions about what the model can't yet do on its own, and those assumptions go stale as models improve. You'll work alongside research to revisit them with each model generation, build the eval infrastructure that measures harness quality against research baselines and real customer workloads, and hold the bar that lets us say our harness gets the most out of Claude.
Help builders get the most out of Claude.
Our customers — internal and external — are building agents both as products for their users and to transform their own operations. You'll ship the capabilities that raise the ceiling on what those agents can do: outcome-driven execution where developers specify success criteria and a budget and Claude iterates until it gets there, multi-agent orchestration, memory, and the observability and tracing that make long-running agents debuggable. The goal is the highest intelligence per dollar of any agent platform, delivered safely.
Design APIs that outlast their implementations.
Agents, environments, sessions, vaults, and event streams are interfaces thousands of developers build against and that our own products depend on. You'll shape those primitives — versioning, ergonomics across API, SDK, and CLI, sensible defaults, escape hatches — with the expectation that the implementations underneath will change many times while the contracts hold.
You might be a good fit if you:
Have a minimum of 8 years of practical experience as a backend, distributed systems, or infrastructure engineer
Have built and operated stateful, long-running, or high-throughput systems in production — workflow orchestration, streaming, storage, container or job orchestration — and can reason rigorously about durability, consistency, failure modes, and cost
Have strong product sense and treat API design as a craft; you care about the developer on the other side of the interface and can ideate and execute product strategy with cross-functional partners in new domains
Are excited by 0 → 1 work and comfortable navigating ambiguity, and have ideally operated in both early-stage and more mature team or company settings
Use Claude or other AI tools as a core part of how you build software, and have opinions about what makes an agent harness good
Take full ownership of your work — from design through build, deployment, and operations (including on-call), to iterating on and improving what you ship
Care about building systems that other engineers and businesses love to use, and about doing so safel
Strong candidates may also have:
Built or contributed to an agent harness, agent framework, or LLM orchestration layer — tool execution, context management, memory, or multi-agent coordination
Worked on an AI or ML platform (model serving, inference infrastructure, developer tooling) at an AI lab or an AI-native product company, or led adoption of AI-driven development inside an engineering organization
Built evaluation or benchmarking infrastructure for LLM or agent systems
Experience with durable execution or workflow engines, sandboxed code execution, or container runtimes
Shipped public developer platforms, APIs, or SDKs used by external developers at scale
Deadline to apply:
None. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
Location Preference:
Preference will be given to candidates based in NY, SEA, SF or the Bay Area given the current location of team.

The role will help shape the future technology-oriented Platform Engineering model and the development of SRE and DevSecOps capabilities without creating a parallel organization.
The successful candidate will initially lead the EM3 and PaaS technical direction without a separate team or direct reporting line. Results will be delivered through architecture ownership, technical leadership, organizational influence, and dedicated capacity allocated from existing teams. The candidate must be able to lead engineers and technical outcomes at scale while people management, capacity ownership, and operational accountability remain with the existing Platform Engineering leadership structure.
Responsibilities:
Define the EM3 and PaaS target architecture, platform principles, roadmap, and reference patterns.
Design the platform control plane, management APIs, desired-state model, and fleet-wide lifecycle-management approach.
Define automated provisioning, configuration, upgrades, patching, recovery, rollback, version compliance, and decommissioning across infrastructure, Kubernetes, and platform services.
Design deployment patterns for single-tenant and smaller multi-tenant environments across datacentres and public cloud.
Establish platform products, self-service interfaces, service catalogue standards, golden paths, and reusable blueprints.
Define reliability standards, service ownership, production readiness, SLI/SLO practices, observability, resilience testing, and the future SRE operating model.
Embed security by default through DevSecOps practices, policy as code, secrets and identity controls, supply-chain security, compliance automation, and automated evidence.
Lead cross-team architectural decisions and align Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, DBA, Networking, Security, Architecture, and Product Engineering.
Define technical acceptance criteria and decision gates for proof of concept, production readiness, lifecycle readiness, security readiness, and operational readiness.
Work with the Platform Engineering Leader on capacity planning, project allocation, skills development, targeted hiring, and the progressive transition to technology-oriented platform domains.
Mentor senior engineers and help develop future Platform Engineering, SRE, and DevSecOps leaders.
Drive outcomes that allow platform scale to grow without proportional growth in manual operational effort.
Own our private cloud infrastructure as a product, setting the technical direction and the roadmap for how it evolves;
Define and publish a service catalogue with clear ownership and clear interfaces, so that provisioning compute, storage, environments and infrastructure is a self-service call for our development teams;
Deliver secure CI/CD as a service, with pipelines, secrets management, access control and compliance controls built into the platform by default rather than added afterwards;
Set, measure and report on SLAs, capacity plans and cost transparency for every service the chapter provides;
Establish the engineering standards of the chapter, including infrastructure as code, peer review, automated testing and observability, and hold the team to them;
Embed AI-assisted engineering in how the chapter works day to day, and measure the effect it has on delivery speed and quality;
Partner with development, architecture and security so that platform capabilities match what our product teams need;
Take accountability for the reliability of the platform, including on-call arrangements, incident response, and post-incident learning.
Requirements:
Proven experience designing, building, or transforming a large-scale internal platform or Platform as a Service capability.
Experience with Kubernetes and infrastructure lifecycle management across multiple clusters, locations, or tenants.
Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, containers, networking, identity, secrets, storage, distributed data services, and observability.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, declarative configuration, reconciliation, platform APIs, and policy-driven automation.
Experience delivering automated upgrades, patching, rollback, recovery, and version management.
Experience defining platform products, self-service services, service ownership, and operating models.
Strong understanding of SRE practices and the design of reliable, observable, production-ready services.
Strong understanding of DevSecOps, software supply-chain security, platform security, and automated compliance controls.
Experience leading complex technical change across multiple teams without direct organizational authority.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Nice to have:
Experience establishing Platform Engineering, SRE, or DevSecOps capabilities.
Experience with hybrid, on-premises, private-cloud, and public-cloud platforms.
Experience with single-tenant and multi-tenant deployment models.
Experience with Kubernetes fleet management, progressive delivery, upgrade rings, and low-downtime change.
Experience with PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Kafka, Redis, Elasticsearch, or similar distributed services.
Experience in regulated, audited, or high-availability environments.

ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer who is pragmatic, product-minded, and equally comfortable writing code and running production systems to join our Infrastructure department's SRE team. The best candidate will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and exceptionally dynamic setting and is excited to own the application-level infrastructure and reliability of a high-traffic commerce domain end to end - from deploy pipelines and Kubernetes manifests to SLOs, capacity planning, and production readiness.
Strong Kubernetes, observability, and software engineering skills are essential, along with experience in operating production services in a cloud environment (GCP/GKE or comparable) and partnering closely with product development teams. The ability to hold a dual perspective - understanding both how developers ship features and what infrastructure needs to stay reliable - and to bring the reliability lens into design decisions early will be key to your success in this role.
If you're passionate about making complex distributed systems boringly reliable and love building the commerce and monetization backbone that lets game developers around the world get paid, we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities
Own the application-level infrastructure: Helm charts, Terraform configurations, Kubernetes deployments, runtime configuration, and service-level networking and integrations
Own the domain's observability: design and implement SLOs/SLIs, monitors, alerts, and dashboards for critical services on Datadog and OpenTelemetry-based tooling
Help to set up and evolve CI/CD pipelines for domain services (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions), including deploy and rollback automation
Perform capacity planning and performance tuning ahead of expected load - product launches, sales events, and regional rollouts - including load testing and performance regression investigation
Run Production Readiness Reviews for new services and major changes; define and enforce what "production-ready" means for the domain
Support domain incident response: assist with deep investigation of complex incidents, contribute to post-mortems, drive follow-up reliability improvements, and maintain runbooks
Build domain-specific automation that reduces operational toil: runbook automation, deploy helpers, recurring operational scripts
Maintain and drive a forward-looking reliability roadmap for the domain together with product engineering leads
Participate in product team planning, refinements, and architecture reviews, bringing the reliability perspective before design decisions become expensive to change
Co-author company-wide SLO/SLI, capacity, and operational standards together with the broader SRE team; contribute improvements directly to shared SRE-operated subsystems
Participate in the SRE duty rotation, supporting developers across the company
Qualifications & Skills
3+ years of proven SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering experience: on-call or incident response duty, SLO/monitoring ownership, deploy pipeline and infrastructure work for production services
Software development background: you have built and shipped backend services, not only operated them - comfortable reading application code during an investigation and writing production-quality automation in at least one language (e.g., Go, PHP)
Hands-on Kubernetes experience: Helm, manifests, deploy strategies, debugging application-level performance and networking issues (GKE or another managed Kubernetes)
Solid observability practice: building monitors, dashboards, and SLOs/SLIs on a modern platform (Datadog preferred; Prometheus/Grafana experience also relevant), familiarity with OpenTelemetry
Infrastructure as Code exposure (Terraform/Terragrunt) for collaboration with platform teams
GCP experience (IAM, networking, managed services)
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI and/or GitHub Actions)
Programming/scripting proficiency sufficient to build automation and tooling (e.g., Python, Go, or Bash)
Practical experience with incident response, post-mortems, and driving reliability improvements from incidents
Strong collaboration and communication skills — this role works embedded with product development teams daily
Experience in payments, fintech, e-commerce, or gaming — high-traffic transactional systems
Nice to Have:
Kubernetes certifications
Google Cloud Platform certifications
HashiCorp certifications

Location: Espoo
Workplace: Hybrid
ROLE HIGHLIGHTS:
- Staff/Lead Product Designer, Design System
- Location: Espoo, Uusimaa, Finland
- Department: Product Management
- Reports to: Director of Product Design
- Employment type: Permanent
- Workplace model: Hybrid (3 days / week in office)
- Employment is subject to applicable security screening (incl. SUPO, where required)
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS:
We don't have a design system. What we have is a set of products built fast, for users who needed the imagery yesterday, that share a brand without sharing much else. Buttons that quietly disagree with each other. Spacing as a matter of personal taste. Several defensible ways to build a table, none of them the same. Nobody was sloppy - this is what shipping under real pressure leaves behind, and the interest on it now comes out of every sprint.
As a Staff / Lead Product Designer, you'll build the thing from nothing. That starts small and slightly unglamorous: a Figma library people actually reach for and a design playbook that settles the arguments worth settling. Then tokens with a structure that holds. Then components in code, documented well enough that nobody has to ask you how they work. By the time it's a design system in the full sense, the hardest part - people using it by default - is already solved, because you'll have built it in the open with the teams who had to adopt it.
This is a hands-on, opinionated, sleeves-rolled-up role. You'll be the highest craft bar in the domain and the person who raises everyone else's. You'll spend as much time with frontend engineers as with designers, quite possibly in their repo.
Real ownership. Very little existing process to inherit. If that sounds like a warning, it isn't. It's the job.
WHO WE ARE
ICEYE is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space. We deliver persistent monitoring capabilities to detect and respond to changes in any location on Earth.
ICEYE owns the world's largest and most advanced SAR (synthetic aperture radar) satellite constellation. To our customers we provide intelligence with unmatched quality, latency and revisit times, in any weather, day or night. To governments who choose to operate their own constellation we provide this proven capability as a sovereign system. ICEYE-built constellations serve customers in defence and intelligence, environmental monitoring, insurance and emergency management. We enable fast decisions that contribute to a safer future. Founded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific..
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Start with a library and a playbook. Grow it into a system. Early on that means a Figma library, shared foundations and written guidance that gives teams a default instead of a decision. Later it means token architecture, components in code and documentation that scales past you. You'll decide the sequence, what's a token and what's a local decision, and where the line sits between flexibility and consistency. Those calls are yours to make, not to wait for.
- Co-design with frontend, in the code. Our engineers will build most of the components. You'll be in the conversation about props, state and composition, reading PRs and prototyping in a branch when that's the fastest way to prove a point. Figma is where you think, not where the system ends up living.
- Sell it. Repeatedly. A design system nobody adopts is a very tidy failure. You'll make the case to product managers, engineers and leadership, run office hours, and do migration work yourself when that's what unblocks a team.
- Set and hold the craft bar. Across the whole domain, at the pixel level, in public. Kind about people, uncompromising about the work.
- Put AI to actual work. Component documentation, variant generation, token maintenance, migration codemods, spec drafting. The tedious 60% of systems work is exactly what these tools are good at, and we want someone with strong instincts about which 60%.
- Stay accountable for what ships. Adoption, consistency, shipped UI quality, how quickly teams can build - not the size of your Figma library.
- Work across a big, networked organisation. Designers in other domains, brand and marketing design, sales engineers, customers. Consistency is a negotiation, not a mandate you email out.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Must haves:
- You've done 0-to-1 before, somewhere messy. You've taken a design system from nothing to adopted, in an organisation that had neither and wasn't yet convinced it needed one. You know how the first six months actually go, which corners are safe to cut, and how to structure tokens so they survive the next product rather than getting quietly forked.
- You're fluent enough in code to be useful. Reading React and CSS, understanding component APIs, running the repo locally, opening a PR without ceremony. You don't need to be an engineer, but you do need to hold your end of a technical conversation and design things that are buildable as drawn.
- You can influence without authority. You'll spend real energy convincing people who have their own roadmaps and their own deadlines. Being right won't be enough and you know that already.
- Your craft is exceptional. Deep command of layout systems, typography, colour and visual hierarchy, applied in dense, complex professional interfaces. Detail-obsessed in the good way: the way that makes a whole product feel considered.
- You have a real point of view on AI in design work. Not a vibe, a practice. You've used these tools to accelerate documentation, generate and audit variants, maintain tokens, or migrate code, and you can tell us where they helped and where they made a confident mess.
- You've owned UX end-to-end for complex professional products. Discovery through shipped product through what you learned afterwards, with a portfolio that shows the systems thinking as well as the surfaces. Expert in Figma.
NICE TO HAVES:
- Accessibility as a default rather than an audit.
- Experience with theming, dark mode, or multi-brand systems.
- Data-dense, map-heavy or real-time interfaces.
- Public writing or open-source contribution on design systems.
- Time spent in high-stakes or regulated environments where getting it wrong is expensive.
The disposition, which matters more than any of the above: outcome-driven thinking over perfect artifacts (design is what ships); curiosity about users, about design and technology trends and history, and about better ways of working; pragmatic product judgment, knowing when "good and shipped" beats "perfect but late"; clear communication and respectful collaboration.

2. Hiring Manager interview
3. Portfolio review
4. Task

Sensor Tower’s digital intelligence platform provides unparalleled insight into market trends, advertising, competitor’s strategies, and consumer/user audience across mobile, web, and gaming. Sensor Tower’s insights are trusted by more than 2,500 enterprises worldwide across tech, retail/commerce, entertainment/media, gaming, consumer packaged goods and finance.
About this role:
At Sensor Tower, we process tens of terabytes of data to power insights used by thousands of customers. We’re looking for curious, motivated engineers who want to grow their skills while helping us build fast, reliable systems that make data easy to access and understand.
You’ll work closely with experienced engineers, contribute to meaningful features from day one, and learn how large-scale systems are designed, built, and optimized in production.
If you enjoy learning, solving problems, and shipping real software that users rely on, we would love to meet you.
Our Engineering Culture
We believe that "Simplicity is a prerequisite for reliability." We are looking for engineers who align with our core values:
- Simplicity: We avoid over-engineering. We prefer the tools we already have and the most straightforward solutions over "shiny new toys."
- Quality: We write code that is a pleasure to read because we know code is written once but read many times. We don't cut corners, and we polish to a high level before shipping.
- Extreme Ownership: We don't just do the minimum. We expect you to understand the "why" behind your work and own the ultimate goal of fixing problems at their root cause, avoiding temporary band-aids.
- Prioritization: We focus relentlessly on what is important, not just what is urgent.
What you’ll do:
- Improving and building new features for an app market intelligence SaaS platform focused on the SMBs (AppMagic by Sensor Tower).
- Participate in the full development life cycle, including design, implementation, quality polish, and release.
- Work on a variety of tasks, such as parsing, data aggregation, API design, refactoring, and performance optimization.
- Create and optimize complex database queries for data analysis and modification.
- Perform code reviews, and suggest improvements to tools and processes.
Backend stack: Golang, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes.
What we are looking for:
- +3 years of experience with Go (if you have lesser years of experience but have meaningful github contributions and other coding samples, this will be taken into consideration).
- Strong SQL skills (Postgres/ClickHouse). You know when to rely on an ORM and when to write raw SQL, and you're comfortable writing and debugging complex queries.
- Focusing on quality by writing testable code that simplifies debugging and ensures long-term reliability.
- Ability to see the product through the user’s eyes and a passion for product excellence.
- Curiosity & drive: a proactive approach to digging into sources yourself rather than relying on second-hand information, and an eagerness to understand why a project is valuable before you start coding.
- Experience with CI/CD, docker, k8s as a plus.
- Ability to pass technical interview both in Russian & English.
- Hands-on, thoughtful use of AI tools in development.

ABOUT BASETEN
Baseten powers mission-critical inference for the world's most dynamic AI companies, like Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma, and Writer. By uniting applied AI research, flexible infrastructure, and seamless developer tooling, we enable companies operating at the frontier of AI to bring cutting-edge models into production. We're growing quickly and recently raised our $1.5B Series F https://www.baseten.co/blog/announcing-our-series-f/, led by Altimeter Capital, Conviction Partners, and Spark Capital. Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to ship AI products.
THE ROLE
Are you the person on your team who builds the agent everyone else ends up using? We're looking for an AI Engineer to join our Training Product team and do that at Baseten. You'll build AI-driven product features for the customers training and post-training frontier models on our platform, and you'll raise the ceiling on how Baseten itself uses AI internally, turning manual workflows into agentic ones that make every other team faster.
You'll work directly with our research engineers to scope and build products, taking ideas from a research loop that already works internally to something customers can run themselves. This is a hands-on role with real autonomy. You'll pick the problems worth solving, build the harnesses, execution flows, and guardrails that make AI systems reliable, and own the results. If you've been shipping agents and want that to be the job, let's talk.
EXAMPLE INITIATIVES
Take a look at these blog posts written by members of our team:
- Baseten Training: an autoresearch substrate https://www.baseten.co/blog/baseten-training-an-autoresearch-substrate/
- Introducing Baseten Loops https://www.baseten.co/blog/introducing-the-baseten-loops-sdk/
- Harnesses are everything. Here's how to optimize yours. https://www.baseten.co/blog/harnesses-are-everything-heres-how-to-optimize-yours/
- Building with NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Ultra and LangChain Deep Agents Code on Baseten https://www.baseten.co/blog/nvidia-nemotron-3-ultra-and-langchain-deep-agents-on-baseten/
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and ship agentic product experiences, including chat-style and assistant-like interfaces, from prototype to GA.
- Design the harnesses, execution flows, and guardrails that make AI systems reliable in production.
- Build internal automation and AI tooling that measurably increases the velocity of engineering, research, and go-to-market teams.
- Partner with research engineers to scope product opportunities out of internal research workflows and turn them into customer-facing features.
- Define and instrument evals so you know whether a change actually improved output quality.
- Work throughout the stack (API layer, backend, agent orchestration, frontend) to implement features end to end.
- Use Baseten's own training and inference products yourself to develop intuition around customer workflows.
- Identify where AI can replace manual process across the company and build the thing rather than write the proposal.
- Fix bugs and resolve customer issues with urgency.
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of experience building and shipping software applications.
- Demonstrated experience building AI or LLM-powered products, agents, or agentic workflows that real users depend on.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and the ability to clear a real technical bar, not just prompt well.
- Ability to build accurate mental models of how systems work under the hood, including the models and harnesses you're building on.
- Proficiency in Python, with fluency in at least one other language.
- Comfort working autonomously in a fast-moving environment with limited structure.
- Ability to move between customer-facing product work and internal tooling and automation.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical depth and business needs.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience as a founding engineer or early employee at a startup.
- Experience building evals, agent observability, or tooling for non-deterministic systems.
- Familiarity with agent frameworks and harnesses (LangChain, Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, MCP).
- Experience with model development methods like supervised fine-tuning, reinforcement learning, synthetic data generation, LoRA, and full fine-tunes.
- Frontend fluency.
BENEFITS
- Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
- (U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents
- Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!)
- Paid parental leave
- Fertility and family-building stipend through Carrot
- (U.S. only) Company-facilitated 401(k)
- Exposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities.
Apply now to embark on a rewarding journey in shaping the future of AI! If you are a motivated individual with a passion for machine learning and a desire to be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team, we would love to hear from you.
