You will build the pipelines, internal tools, and agents that decide which companies we go after, how we reach them, and what our sellers see when they open their laptop in the morning. Most of what a sales ops team used to do by hand is now something you can write software to do.

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria Workplace: hybrid Are you ready to join our digital revolution journey? At Aleph, we’re not just part of the digital advertising landscape—we’re shaping its future. Representing the world’s leading platforms, including TikTok, Amazon, Google, and nearly 55 others, we operate in 130+ markets across new and existing geographies. Our mission is to empower advertisers and brands to unlock the full potential of these platforms' advertising capabilities. By fostering long-lasting partnerships, we create limitless opportunities for people and businesses to advertise effectively at both local and global levels. With a presence spanning continents, Aleph offers you the chance to be part of a fast-growing, innovative team where your work makes a direct impact. If you’re ambitious, forward-thinking, and eager to thrive in a dynamic, global environment, Aleph is the perfect place to build your career. Role Purpose As Audit & Compliance Manager, Europe, you will be the primary owner of audit readiness and tax regulatory compliance across all Europe entities. You will set the standard, structure and cadence for how the region prepares for and manages statutory audits, global group audits, and tax authority engagement — working through the local reporting teams and external accountants who handle data preparation, review and submission, rather than performing that work yourself. Your role is to define how things get done, ensure consistent quality across every market, and be the region's face in front of auditors and tax authorities. What Makes This Role Different: Build, don't just maintain. You're stepping into a newly created position with a mandate to design the region's audit and compliance approach from the ground up — not inherit a fixed process. Full regional ownership. This role spans the entire Europe region. High visibility, real stakes. You'll be the direct point of contact with external auditors and tax authorities on some of the company's most sensitive matters, with senior leadership relying on your judgment. A technology-forward environment. The business is actively investing in automation, AI and dashboarding to modernize reporting — you'll be expected to bring ideas here, not just adopt what's handed to you. Cross-functional reach. You'll work closely with the Tax, Transfer Pricing and Legal teams, and directly with hub-entity finance teams, on issues spanning VAT, customer transactions and company-wide reviews. What You'll Do: 1. Statutory & Global Audit Leadership Audit Lifecycle Ownership: Lead the end-to-end process for local statutory audits and global group audits across all 23 countries — planning, coordinating PBC (Provided by Client) lists, and driving on-time sign-off. External Auditor Relationship: Act as the primary regional point of contact for audit firms, owning timelines and resolution of open items. Consolidation Alignment: Ensure local statutory filings align with Global/Group reporting timelines (IFRS/US GAAP/local GAAP) for a seamless audit process. Pre-Audit Structuring: Work with local teams ahead of each audit cycle to define what needs to be prepared and how — so the region walks into every audit with a consistent, proactive structure rather than reacting to auditor requests. 2. Tax Governance & Regulatory Compliance Filing Oversight: Ensure accurate, on-time submission across VAT, Withholding Tax (WHT), Corporate Income Tax, and country-specific statistical and national bank reporting — delivered through local reporting teams and external accountants, with you owning quality and timeliness. Tax Team Liaison: Standardize and oversee submission of supporting data to the central Tax team; ensure schedules provided for assessments are reconciled and audit-ready. Notice & Assessment Management: Proactively manage tax notices and audits, coordinating evidence-gathering and working with the Tax team to ensure timely, well-supported responses. Corporate Secretarial Support: Oversee annual filings and coordinate with Legal on board meeting minutes (financial aspects) and other local regulatory requirements. 3. Process Improvement & Digital Transformation Root Cause Analysis: Identify recurring audit adjustments or tax queries and implement structural fixes to eliminate them at the source. Internal Controls: Strengthen the control environment across the region to minimize audit findings. Technology & Automation: Identify and champion tools — including AI and dashboarding — to reduce manual work and increase consistency across the region's reporting. What We're Looking For: Mindset & Soft Skills (critical to this role) A challenger, not a process-follower — someone who questions how things are done today and proposes a better way, rather than simply executing an existing playbook. Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, high-volume, occasionally chaotic environment, and energized rather than fatigued by it. Strong communicator and team player who can build trust quickly across Tax, Legal, Transfer Pricing and local finance teams. Strategic mindset with the ability to zoom out across markets while staying close enough to the detail to be credible with auditors and tax authorities. Experience & Technical Skills Currently operating at Manager level (or equivalent) within an audit firm or a multinational's in-house compliance/audit function — this is not a developmental hire. 10–12+ years of post-qualification experience, with hands-on exposure to multi-country compliance in Europe. Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, or ACCA qualification. Solid working knowledge of IFRS, European tax regulations, and Transfer Pricing fundamentals. Advanced proficiency with Tier-1 ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite). Fluent English, written and spoken — required given daily interaction with regional and global stakeholders. Strong project management and negotiation skills, with the ability to work confidently across time zones and cultures. In line with the EU Pay Transparency Directive, we are committed to fair and open compensation practices. For this role, the minimum gross annual base salary is EUR 40,000. In addition to base salary, this role includes a variable component, paid annually. The final offer will reflect your experience, skills, and the scope of the role. #ALEPH Why Join Us? Location: San Francisco Workplace: Hybrid About WorkOS 🚀 WorkOS builds modern developer tools and APIs that make it easy for companies to become Enterprise Ready. Our platform powers authentication, identity, authorization, and other critical infrastructure that developers need to securely scale their products to large organizations. We recently raised a $100M Series C, valuing the company at $2B, led by Meritech and Sapphire with participation from Greenoaks, Craft, Abstract, and Audacious. WorkOS powers enterprise features for many of the fastest-growing AI companies, including OpenAI, Cursor, and Perplexity, Sierra, and Plaid. As AI reshapes software, WorkOS is at the frontier of Human and Agent Authentication, Identity, and Access Control helping companies answer a new critical question: who are your agents, and what are they allowed to do? Our fast-growing customer base includes hundreds of modern software companies building the next generation of enterprise-ready products. ABOUT THE ROLE We’re hiring an experienced Engineering Manager to lead Dashboard, the team helping customers get more value from the WorkOS suite and helping WorkOS grow as a business. We’re looking for a leader who is excited to manage engineers, but approaches the role as a startup founding member would. You’ll lead engineers working across customer onboarding and growth, billing and monetization, and AI assistance in the WorkOS dashboard. The team’s work connects the customer journey from signup and integration through production and expansion. You’ll partner closely with design, go-to-market, finance, and other engineering teams to make that journey simpler and more effective. This role offers meaningful autonomy to shape what we build and why. It’s a great fit for a strong product thinker who enjoys working closely with product managers and taking the lead on product decisions when the opportunity calls for it. You’ll have room to identify customer problems, propose new directions, and carry ideas from discovery through launch, with ownership of the outcomes. If you’re excited by the chance to combine engineering leadership with product judgment, there’s a lot to build here. You’ll also drive technical strategy, empower your team to execute on projects with a direct impact on customer success and the business, and play a pivotal role in scaling the team and recruiting exceptional engineers. WHAT YOUR TEAM WILL BUILD - Growth and onboarding: help developers move from signing up to integrating and running WorkOS in production. Improve onboarding and next steps, and work with go-to-market teams on timely outreach informed by product signals. - Billing and monetization: build annual-credit capabilities, make billing more reliable and automated, and give customers clearer pricing, usage, and credit information in the dashboard. - AI assistance for developers: bring the Dashboard Agent, WorkOS MCP server, Ask WorkOS, and Support Bot into a coordinated experience, with shared retrieval, evaluations, and quality standards. Help developers get useful, consistent answers and make progress with WorkOS. RESPONSIBILITIES - Build and lead a high-velocity team that ships product fast and with polish across growth, monetization, and developer assistance. - Be deeply technical and hands-on: read the PRs, write prototypes, and work with technical leads on architecture and project scope. - Shape the roadmap in close partnership with product managers, design, go-to-market, finance, and engineering. Bring your own product perspective, identify opportunities, and drive product decisions directly where needed—from defining the problem and choosing an approach to measuring the outcome. - Help the team improve the customer journey from signup to production and expansion, using product signals and customer feedback to choose what to build next. - Balance rapid product iteration with the reliability and correctness customers need from billing and the quality they expect from AI assistance. - Push for clarity, focus, and high energy in every sprint. Drive urgency without burning people out. - Spend time with customers and engineers alike—digging into pain points, testing assumptions, and improving the craft. - Coach, mentor, and grow a team of curious, driven engineers through direct feedback, clear goals, and meaningful ownership. - Partner with recruiting to attract, hire, and retain exceptional engineering talent. QUALIFICATIONS - Track record of having successfully led product-focused engineering teams in high-performing organizations that shipped real impact. - You've written code at a high level, and you still love to get your hands dirty. You view leadership as an amplifier, not a step back. - Bias for action and scrappiness: You don’t over-optimize for process. You optimize for velocity, customer value, and learning. - You deeply care about the developer experience. You think about UX, APIs, performance, edge cases, and joy. - You ask "why" obsessively, and you push yourself (and your team) to learn constantly. - You build trust, give direct feedback, and create space for engineers to thrive. - You have experience partnering with internal recruiting teams to drive effective and fair hiring processes. You realize that recruiting is a large and important part of your role, and have a track record of recruiting, hiring, and mentoring top engineering talent. - You’re a strong product thinker who connects customer needs, technical possibilities, and business outcomes. You collaborate well with product managers and are comfortable driving product decisions yourself, using customer insight and evidence to make tradeoffs and build alignment. Experience with onboarding and growth, billing systems, or customer-facing AI products is especially relevant. You do not need prior experience in all three areas. Location: Remote Workplace: Remote Kit https://kit.com/ is the email marketing platform experts choose to grow their audience, deepen their relationships, and build a business around the work they love. For coaches, YouTubers, authors, podcasters, and other creatives, there isn't a better marketing hub to rely on to grow audiences, automate email marketing, and sell digital products — all within one platform. More importantly, there isn't a team more committed to helping creators earn a living. We're on a mission to help creators earn $1 billion using our creator marketing platform. We have always been 100% independent and 100% remote. We are proud to have built a product that our customers love, and we look for people who have enthusiasm and belief in our mission, vision, and values to join our team. We're also embracing AI thoughtfully — both in how we build and how we hire to ensure our team is adaptable, innovative, and ready for what's next. THE ROLE Kit is growing, and so are the legal complexities of our business. We're looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to help us navigate them with clarity, speed, and commercial savvy. You'll serve as in-house legal subject matter expert, partnering closely with the executive team to lead product legal strategy and execution—especially around privacy, data, AI and compliance, commercial contracts, customer security requirements, and scalable legal support for our teams. A key focus will be helping Kit respond to a growing volume of privacy questions—particularly as one of our newer products, Subscriber Signals https://kit.com/features/signals, evolves by building practical, repeatable systems that provide timely and consistent guidance at scale. You'll help shape the legal backbone of a fast-moving tech company with multiple revenue streams—including SaaS, digital commerce, paid reccomendations, and advertising—and a rapidly growing platform for creators. To advise the business effectively, you'll develop a deep understanding of Kit, SparkLoop https://sparkloop.app/, Subscriber Signals, and how creators get value from our connected ecosystem of apps and tools. You'll be at the center of complex, cross-functional problems where product, business, and legal strategy meet—all in service of helping creators build more valuable businesses. YOUR SUPPORT SYSTEM You'll report to our Chief Operating Officer, Brian Bevel https://www.linkedin.com/in/brian-bevel-92895ba/, and partner regularly with leaders across product, sales, finance, and people operations. You'll own our core legal work in-house, reduce the need for outside counsel, and know when specialized outside counsel is truly needed. WHAT YOU'LL DO - First week: Get up to speed on our business model, current goals, and products. Learn about the product, SparkLoop, Subscriber Signals, and how creators get value from our connected ecosystem of apps and tools. Meet key internal stakeholders and our external counsel. Review our most common legal agreements, privacy questions, and customer security requests to assess where we have risk, opportunity, ambiguity, or recurring work that can be handled more efficiently. - First month: Get your arms around active data processing, privacy, AI, and other legal initiatives, and build a "what's on deck" view of upcoming legal needs. Map the recurring privacy support questions arising across Kit—particularly around Subscriber Signals, and begin designing a scalable intake, guidance, and escalation system. Partner with Sales, Sponsorships, Security, Product, and Engineering to move faster without cutting corners. Take ownership of GDPR and data compliance vetting and establish a clear process for responding to customer security questionnaires. - First six months: You’re the go-to partner for legal considerations across the business, particularly for our product, engineering, security, and GTM teams. Build scalable systems—such as playbooks, templates, intake processes, and self-service guidance—for answering recurring privacy, data-use, and compliance questions. Partner throughout the product lifecycle on initiatives and feature releases, with particular attention to Subscriber Signals and our connected ecosystem of products. Prioritize our biggest legal risks, reduce unnecessary reliance on outside counsel, and streamline legal workflows to increase speed, confidence, and self-service. - First year: Help Kit operate at a higher level of legal maturity across privacy, compliance, product counsel, commercial contracts, and security support. Establish durable systems that allow teams to answer common questions independently while escalating higher-risk matters appropriately. Help us treat privacy, data, and compliance as strategic enablers—not just boxes to check—and significantly reduce our reliance on outside counsel for work we can handle effectively in-house. WHAT WILL S.E.T. YOU UP FOR SUCCESS Skills - Deep expertise in data, compliance, and product—this is where you'll spend most of your time. - Strong ability to navigate U.S. and European data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), including familiarity with data controller vs. processor distinctions and how they shape vendor and product decisions. - Ability to translate privacy and compliance requirements into scalable playbooks, templates, intake processes, and self-service guidance - Experience supporting customer security questionnaires and partnering effectively with security, sales, product, and engineering teams - Familiarity with SOC 2 Type II and the legal, privacy, and customer requirements associated with it, even if you haven't directly owned a certification process - Understanding of intellectual property law, especially related to brand, content, and software - Understanding of commercial contracts—you'll become the go-to person for these at Kit. - Clear communicator and trusted advisor—able to simplify complexity and help others make informed decisions Experiences - Experience as in-house counsel at a tech company or serving a tech portfolio at a top-tier firm that's well-known for their work with startups (e.g., Fenwick & West, Cooley) - J.D. from an accredited law school in the United States - Active member in good standing of a State Bar Association Traits - Strategic thinker who sees legal as a lever, not a blocker - Deeply curious and business-oriented—you start by understanding the goals, then explore the smartest paths to get there. - Collaborative partner who can navigate conflict productively - Deep belief that creator success is our success—you consider both Kit and our customers in every recommendation - A "how might we" problem-solver who finds creative, business-aligned paths through legal challenges WHAT WON'T SET YOU UP FOR SUCCESS - Needing a team of in-house peers or co-counsel to pressure-test every decision—you'll be our sole in-house legal expert, with outside counsel available as needed - A strongly risk-averse or "no-before-yes" mindset—we need you to help us move, not just stop us from tripping - Thinking in a legal vacuum—if you're not factoring in our goals, numbers, or creators, your advice won't land - Struggling with speed or ownership—if you prefer long timelines or wait to be told what to do, this won't be the right environment. We move quickly and expect people to take initiative, spot problems, and drive solutions. WORKING HOURS AND LOCATION We're 100% remote with team members across the globe. For this role, we're looking for someone located in the United States. COMPENSATION + PERKS + BENEFITS Kit has standardized salaries based on position, no matter where you live. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to work alongside the team during those days. WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE: - Own assigned areas across monthly, quarterly, and annual close: Prepare accurate journal entries and adjustments with clear supporting documentation, and complete close work on time. - By your 90th day, independently manage your assigned close areas, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and resolve outstanding items with a clear rhythm for identifying and escalating issues. - By your 90th day, analyze financial results and explain variance drivers in management reporting, partnering with FP&A and other stakeholders to make the numbers clear and actionable. - By your 90th day, use AI-enabled tools and automation to streamline analysis, reconciliations, and recurring workflows—freeing time for higher-judgment accounting work. - By the end of your first year, strengthen controls and accounting processes across your areas, supporting accurate financial statements. - By the end of your first year, drive scalable improvements across Corporate Accounting, collaborating with FP&A, AP, Legal, and other teams to improve accuracy, efficiency, and consistency. SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING: - Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accrual accounting, applied to produce accurate and well-supported accounting outcomes. - Progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years with hands-on ownership of month-end close processes. - Proficiency with NetSuite and an active, practical approach to using AI and automation to streamline accounting workflows. - Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional partnerships and communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels, including explaining fluctuations and their business drivers. - Ownership, sound judgment, and a continuous-improvement mindset: you look for ways to make the work more accurate, scalable, and easier for others to build on. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role’s scope and complexity, and the candidate’s experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. For roles based in San Francisco, the estimated base salary range for this role is $130,000 - $150,000 per year. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on. EQUAL OPPORTUNITY & ACCOMMODATIONS We hire talented people from a wide range of backgrounds. Location: Home based - EMEA We are hiring a General Counsel , reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO). This role leads Canonical’s global Legal and Compliance function. This is a unique opportunity for an exceptional and commercially-minded senior lawyer to lead the legal and compliance function of a profitable, fast-growing technology company that is privately held with the intention to list on a public exchange. We’re looking for someone with genuine fluency in the software industry and in open source dynamics, who can translate that insight into clear positions on licensing, commercial contracts and risk, and hands-on execution. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will own Canonical's legal, regulatory and governance posture and lead a distributed team across EMEA and the Americas. Your primary challenge will be to continue building both the team and the architecture: a management layer across two regions, and the governance, contracting and controls a public company needs, in an environment that regularly does things the industry has not done before. You will work closely with our product and engineering teams on licensing and IP questions, with the security function on customer assurance, and you will advise the Board and its committees directly. In our selection process, we prioritize intellect and judgement alongside depth of practice. We are looking for someone with a strong academic background, an active licence to practice, and demonstrable exposure to a multilayered global operational environment. Location: This role will be based remotely in EMEA time zones. The role entails Leading the global Legal and Compliance function: setting it's structure, standards and priorities across EMEA and the Americas. Building and managing a management capability: hire and develop managers, set objectives, review performance against a clear bar, and address under-performance directly. Setting the operating cadence of the function: intake and prioritization of legal work, service expectations with internal clients, and reporting on workload and risk to the leadership team. Owning public-market readiness on the legal side: corporate governance, group and entity structure, delegated authority, policies, disclosure controls and records, in partnership with Finance. Advising the CEO, COO, CFO and the Board, and supporting in Board and committee meetings. Owning the commercial contracting framework: standard templates, negotiating positions, and a deviation and escalation process that makes commitments visible before they are signed. Leading intellectual property and open source licensing strategy, including copyleft, trademark and the terms on which Ubuntu and our products are distributed. Owning the global compliance programme: data protection and privacy, export controls and trade compliance, anti-bribery and corruption, competition and AI regulation. Managing litigation, disputes and regulatory engagement, together with the external counsel panel, its budget and its quality. Advising on M&A, partnerships, strategic alliances and financing as the company grows. What we are looking for in you An exceptional academic track record from both high school and university. A degree in law, or equivalent, and an active licence to practice in an EMEA or Americas jurisdiction. Substantial senior in-house experience in a global technology or software business. Proven experience leading a distributed legal team, including managing managers across regions and time zones. A track record of setting and holding a high performance bar: hiring well, developing people, and dealing with under performance directly rather than waiting it out. Experience building or restructuring an in-house legal function, including deciding what is retained, delegated and sent to external counsel. Technology related experience of: negotiating and owning commercial technology contracts, including enterprise software and subscriptions, channel and reseller agreements, hardware manufacturer agreements, cloud and services advising on open source licensing, including permissive and copyleft licences, and familiarity with how open source communities operate. Experience of, or demonstrable readiness for, public company governance: listing preparation, board and committee support, disclosure and controls. Depth in at least two of: data protection and privacy, IP and trademark, export controls and trade, competition, or disputes. Confidence to respectfully speak up, exchange feedback, hold colleagues accountable, and share ideas without hesitation. Professional written and spoken English with excellent drafting and presentation skills. Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability. Experience building or restructuring an in-house legal function. A qualification in more than one jurisdiction. We revisit compensation annually (and more often for graduates and associates) to ensure we recognize outstanding performance. In addition to base pay, we offer a performance-driven annual bonus or commission. We provide all team members with additional benefits which reflect our values and ideals. We balance our programs to meet local needs and ensure fairness globally. Distributed work environment with twice-yearly team sprints in person. Personal learning and development budget of USD 2,000 per year. Bi-annual compensation review.
