ABOUT YOU
We are looking for an Account Executive — Gaming/Adtech Sales who is relationship-driven, commercially sharp, and deeply immersed in China's gaming and digital advertising ecosystem to join our Revenue & Partnerships team. The best candidate will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and exceptionally dynamic setting and is excited to own the full sales cycle — from prospecting and pitching through to close — across a diverse book of gaming advertisers and publishers across China and the broader APAC market.
Strong commercial acumen and communication skills are essential, along with experience in digital advertising sales, performance marketing, or gaming monetization within the Chinese market. The ability to build enduring client relationships grounded in trust, navigate China's complex and fast-moving digital advertising landscape, and manage multi-stakeholder deal structures will be key to your success in this role.
If you're passionate about the intersection of gaming and advertising technology and love building innovative ad solutions that help game developers grow their player base and revenue across the world's largest gaming market, we would love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
Own the full sales cycle for gaming ad sales accounts across China and the APAC region — from prospecting and outreach through pitch, negotiation, and close, with a strong focus on relationship cultivation consistent with Chinese business practices
Build and maintain strong, trust-based, long-term relationships with game developers, publishers, and advertising agencies, acting as the primary point of contact for Xsolla's ad monetization solutions in the Chinese market
Identify and develop new business opportunities by leveraging existing networks, attending industry events, and proactively targeting key accounts within China's gaming and advertising ecosystem
Develop tailored account plans and pitch materials that align client goals with Xsolla's product offerings, including offerwall, rewarded ads, and performance-based monetization tools, localized appropriately for the Chinese market
Collaborate cross-functionally with global product, marketing, and partner success teams to ensure client campaigns are delivered effectively and meet performance targets
Monitor campaign performance, provide clients with regular reporting and insights in both Mandarin and English, and proactively recommend optimizations to maximize results and retention
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, pipeline status, and account details in CRM (Salesforce)
Represent Xsolla at key gaming and ad tech conferences and trade events across China and APAC (e.g., China Joy, Game Connection Asia, Pocket Gamer Connects, WePlay Expo)
Provide market intelligence on advertiser trends, competitor activity, platform developments, and emerging opportunities across China's gaming and digital advertising markets
Qualifications and Skills:
3+ years of experience in digital advertising sales, ad tech, gaming monetization, or a closely related field within the Chinese market
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing a full sales cycle, including experience navigating China's relationship-driven (guanxi-based) enterprise sales environment
Strong understanding of performance advertising models (CPI, CPA, CPM) and the mobile gaming ecosystem, with familiarity with China's major publishers and platforms (Tencent, NetEase, miHoYo, ByteDance/TikTok, Bilibili, Kuaishou, Baidu)
Native or business-level proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, with strong working proficiency in English — the ability to operate fluently across both languages in client-facing and internal communications is essential
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with a strong understanding of Chinese business culture, including relationship-building norms, hierarchy, and enterprise decision-making dynamics
Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce preferred) and standard sales tooling, as well as familiarity with Chinese business communication platforms (WeChat, DingTalk)
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously and adapt quickly to China's rapidly evolving regulatory and platform environment
Based in or willing to relocate to Beijing, China; eligible to work in China without visa sponsorship

We are building AI to simulate the world through merging art and science.
We believe that world models are at the frontier of progress in artificial intelligence. Language models alone won’t solve the world’s hardest problems – robotics, disease, scientific discovery. Real progress requires models that experience the world and learn from their mistakes, the same way that humans do. And this kind of trial and error can be massively accelerated when done in simulation, rather than in the real world.
World models offer the most clear path to general-purpose simulation, changing how stories are told, how scientific progress is made and how the next frontiers of humanity are reached.
Our team consists of creative, open minded, caring and ambitious people who are determined to change the world. We aspire to continuously build impossible things and our ability to do so relies on building an incredible team. If you are driven to do the same, we'd love to hear from you.

About Wolt
At Wolt, we create technology that brings joy, simplicity and earnings to the neighborhoods of the world. In 2014 we started with delivery of restaurant food. Now we’re building the delivery of (almost) everything and you’ll find us in over 500 cities in 30 countries around the world. In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe.
Working at Wolt isn’t always easy, but it’s definitely exciting. Here you’ll learn more, build more, and ship more than in most other companies. You’ll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you’re a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life.
Wolt’s AdTech & Promotions team is building the systems that power how restaurants and brands grow on our platform. From campaign creation to optimization and forecasting, we develop tools that help advertisers make smarter decisions and drive measurable results. As we expand our offering, we are investing in new capabilities that combine real-time data, scalable systems, and intuitive user experiences to unlock the next phase of growth.
We’re looking for a
Staff Engineer
to join the Wolt AdTech & Promotions organization, who can drive technical direction across this space and help us build reliable, scalable systems that directly impact revenue and advertiser success.
What you’ll be doing
Drive the technical vision and architecture for Wolt’s AdTech and Promotions platforms, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and high-performing.
Provide technical leadership across multiple teams and projects, bringing architectural consistency to complex, large-scale systems.
Work across the
end-to-end domain
, contributing to backend services, data pipelines, and advertiser-facing tools.
Design and evolve systems that support
campaign execution, targeting, ranking, allocation, and reporting
in real-time or near real-time environments.
Partner with engineering, product, and data stakeholders to align priorities, improve campaign performance, and manage trade-offs in a revenue-driven environment.
Lead large cross-team projects, guiding them from concept to rollout across multiple regions and time zones.
Ensure strong operational excellence, including observability, reliability, and incident readiness for revenue-critical systems.
Promote best engineering practices, mentor engineers across teams, and support their growth in scalability and system design.
Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical colleagues, ensuring clarity and alignment across functions.
Contribute to the technical roadmaps of AdTech and Promotions platforms by collaborating with other senior engineers.
This position is based in
London
Our humble expectations
Technical Expertise
Proven track record designing and scaling

.
Strong understanding of system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance optimization.
Experience working with
data-intensive and real-time or near real-time systems
.
Familiarity with AdTech concepts such as
targeting, ranking, attribution, or experimentation
is a strong plus.
Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and languages; while many of our services are written in Kotlin and Go, we are looking for someone language-agnostic.
Ability to dive quickly into new domains and navigate complex system interactions.
Familiarity with modern cloud-native tools and data systems (e.g., Kubernetes, Kafka, MongoDB).
Communication & Influence
Strong communicator with the ability to influence, align, and build consensus across diverse teams and stakeholders.
Comfortable working in a global environment across
US and international teams
.
Skilled at translating complex technical decisions into clear direction for technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience mentoring and coaching engineers, helping raise the technical bar across teams.
Strong sense of ownership combined with a collaborative mindset
, able to work effectively across team boundaries to deliver shared outcomes.
Proactive in identifying opportunities and gaps across teams
, and driving alignment to solve problems holistically rather than locally.

challenging AdTech problems at scale
, where technical decisions directly impact revenue and user experience.
Our compensation follows a
total compensation model
, combining a competitive base salary with DoorDash RSUs.
You will play a key role in
building and evolving the next generation of advertisement tools and platforms
, shaping how advertisers create, manage, and optimize campaigns across Wolt. This is not just about maintaining systems, but about
defining and scaling new capabilities in a fast-growing domain

You’ll be part of a
global company operating at scale
, collaborating with teams across Europe and the US, and solving problems that span multiple markets, use cases, and customer segments.
This role also offers strong opportunities for
career growth and scope expansion
, whether through deep technical leadership, cross-domain influence, or progression toward more senior individual contributor roles.
Alongside the technical challenge, you’ll work with talented engineers and leaders in a
diverse and international environment
, shaping both our systems and engineering culture while mentoring and learning from others.
Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion
