BUILDING THE FUTURE OF OPEN FINANCE
Payward - the parent company behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services and CF Benchmarks - has spent the last 15 years building one of the most modern and globally accessible financial infrastructure platforms in the industry, built to advance an open, global financial system.
THE TEAM
Founded in 2011, Kraken is one of the world's longest-standing crypto platforms, trusted by over 10 million individuals and institutions across the globe. It offers spot trading, margin, futures, staking, and OTC services, with products built for both individual investors and institutional clients.
The Director, Legal Operations will serve as the centralized owner for Legal’s operations, technology, data, and execution. This role is responsible for Legal AI strategy and implementation, partnering closely with Engineering, Product, Security, Finance, and other stakeholders to modernize and scale Kraken’s legal function. As Kraken’s regulatory footprint and business complexity grow, this leader will own operational strategy, tooling, process design, and metrics—driving automation, AI adoption, workflow standardization, and vendor optimization. This role ensures Legal operates as a strategic, data-driven partner to the business rather than a reactive cost center.
This leader will also be responsible for Legal’s financial, resourcing, and demand management foundations—ensuring the right work is done by the right resource at the right cost, with predictable outcomes as the organization scales.
THE OPPORTUNITY
- Serve as DRI for Legal Operations, Legal Technology, and Legal AI strategy, execution, and governance.
- Own Legal’s operating model across workflows, processes, resourcing, and service delivery.
- Own budget planning, forecasting, accruals, and cost modeling with Finance.
- Manage legal billing and outside counsel.
- Lead resourcing, capacity planning, headcount modeling, role design, and make/buy/automate decisions.
- Manage the legal technology stack (CLM, matter management, AI tools, knowledge management, intake, spend management).
- Enforce centralized ownership, standardization, and compliance across legal technology.
- Evaluate AI tooling, drive build-vs-buy decisions, translate requirements into technical roadmaps, ensure secure deployment, measure ROI, and lead integrations.
- Establish metrics, dashboards, and controls for workload, demand, spend, cycle times, efficiency, risk, and outcomes.
- Design and operate intake, triage, and demand-management frameworks, including prioritization models, service tiers, SLAs, and self-service pathways.
- Optimize vendor and contractor management, spend controls, billing review, performance measurement, and work allocation.
- Design, implement, and adopt AI-enabled legal workflows at scale.
- Evolve the Legal knowledge management strategy (playbooks, templates, decision trees, guidance) for reuse and automation.
- Prioritize operational, process, and technology initiatives based on impact, risk reduction, and ROI.
- Lead change management, training, and adoption for new processes, technologies, and AI systems.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, privacy, and compliance standards.
- Maintain operational controls to reduce legal, regulatory, and model risk.
- Enable attorneys to focus on legal judgment, strategy, and advisory work.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 10+ years in Legal Operations, legal technology, process design, finance-adjacent operations, or operational leadership.
- Experience scaling legal operations, legal technology, financial management, and data-driven execution.
- Experience driving automation and AI initiatives from strategy through deployment, governance, adoption, and ROI measurement.
- Understanding of legal workflows (contracts, regulatory, litigation, investigations, intake, outside counsel management) and process redesign.
- Hands-on experience optimizing legal technology platforms (CLM, matter management, spend management, intake, knowledge management, AI tools).
- Ability to translate requirements into technical roadmaps and operational plans.
- Experience establishing metrics, dashboards, controls, and OKRs.
- Communication skills to influence legal leaders, executives, and technical teams.
- Experience operating in ambiguity and leading transformation in high-growth environments.
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience in fintech, crypto, financial services, or regulated industries.
- Background in enterprise AI governance, model risk management, or secure AI deployment.
- People management experience in Legal Operations or adjacent functions.
- Experience benchmarking Legal Operations practices, tooling, and cost structures against industry standards.

About GiveDirectly
What if the most effective way to fight poverty was also the simplest: give people money and trust them to decide what they need?
Since 2011, GiveDirectly has proven that idea at scale. We’ve delivered more than $1B in cash directly to 2+ million people living in poverty and crisis across 15 countries, and rigorous research shows the results: healthier kids, stronger businesses, sturdier homes, and more resilient families and local economies. Cash is now widely recognized as one of the most scalable, cost-effective, and dignified forms of aid.
Our ambition goes beyond our own programs. We want cash to become the benchmark for aid, much as the index fund became the benchmark for investing, so that every aid dollar is held to one question:
is this doing more good than giving the money directly to people living in poverty?
We’re growing fast, and this is a rare and important moment to join.
We expect to hit $1B in revenue in 2026 with significant growth forecast for 2027. At the same time we are building a new technology stack and operating model designed for a roughly 10x change in scale, and we are actively pursuing partnerships with major funders to move even more money in bigger ways, to people who need it. We are known for our extensive integration of technology into field processes; our quantitative approach to performance measurement; and our commitment to rigorous, independent, experimental evaluation of our impact, with multiple Randomized Control Trials completed and others in progress.
How we work
Our team spans 20+ countries and 69 languages. Our culture is candid, analytical, and non-hierarchical. We expect high ownership and give people real responsibility early. Our values are central to how we hire, work, and grow, and they are deliberately opinionated:
Recipients first.
Recipients’ preferences come before those of donors or ourselves.
Team next.
We optimize for organizational success, not individual success.
Be proactively candid.
We say what we believe and share information openly.
Create positive energy.
We aim to be a source of energy for colleagues, not a drain.
Think rigorously; act quickly.
We reason from first principles, then act rather than debate.
Know yourself and grow.
We own our imperfections and seek feedback to grow.
Accept reality. Propose solutions.
We focus on what can change and bring solutions, not just problems.
Be productively ambitious.
We take risks for step-change impact, not incremental progress.
If they describe how you like to work and they energize you, this could be a great fit.

An overview of this role
As Director, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), you'll lead finance for GitLab's Research & Development (R&D) organization, our largest operating expense area. You'll be the strategic finance partner to our Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and their leadership team, owning R&D planning, forecasting, and investment decisions.
R&D builds our AI-powered development, security, and operations (DevSecOps) platform, which more than 100,000 organizations use. You'll connect investment in headcount, infrastructure, AI and cloud usage, and tooling to product outcomes, with clear measurement and reliable forecasts.
You'll sit at the CTO's staff table, shape GitLab's long-range plan, and help leadership decide where to invest next, making R&D spend predictable.
What you’ll do
Serve as the finance advisor to the CTO and R&D leadership. Hold partners accountable for execution against plan and connect R&D priorities to company financial targets.
Lead annual planning, and rolling forecasts for R&D. Own the operating plan across headcount, compensation, contractors, hosting and cloud, AI and large language model (LLM) costs, software, and tooling.
Build frameworks that connect R&D investment to product roadmap outcomes. Evaluate business cases for new initiatives, AI capabilities, build-versus-buy decisions, and vendor commitments, and present risks and opportunities to leadership.
Define and track R&D efficiency metrics, including R&D spend as a percentage of revenue, cost per engineer, hosting cost per user, and AI inference cost per feature. Identify large-scale savings and reallocation opportunities and see them through to completion.
Partner with People and R&D leaders on hiring plans, location strategy, and organizational design. Keep headcount forecasts accurate and reconciled to actuals.
Lead the AI transformation of R&D finance. Rethink planning, forecasting, and reporting workflows, and use AI tools to make them faster, more accurate, and more insightful.
Redesign FP&A processes, policies, and planning and reporting systems for efficiency and effectiveness, with AI in the center. Work with Accounting on capitalized software, accruals, and allocations, and with Procurement on process improvements.
Lead and develop your R&D finance team:: hire and coach team members, set goals and priorities, and give expert feedback. Put GitLab's values into practice through handbook-first, asynchronous collaboration across time zones.
What you’ll bring
Extensive finance experience, including serving as the lead finance partner to an R&D, Engineering, or Product organization plus experience leading a team of analysts
A strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and R&D cost drivers, including engineering headcount, cloud hosting, AI and LLM usage, software licenses, and capitalized software development.
Experience leading process redesign and change in a finance team, including hands-on use of AI tools to improve how work gets done.
Expertise in influencing senior technical stakeholders and translating complex analysis into clear recommendations for executives.
Advanced financial modeling skills that follow industry best practices, expertise in Google Sheets, and hands-on experience with financial and data visualization tools. We don't use Excel for modeling.
A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Comfort working remotely and asynchronously, and the ability to use GitLab.
Preferred experience includes enterprise software-as-a-service (SaaS) finance; direct CTO partnership; NetSuite, Sisense, Adaptive Planning, or SQL; or a Master of Business Administration (MBA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.

Location: London, United Kingdom - Deliveroo
Our Global Structure
Deliveroo is now part of DoorDash, bringing together teams with even greater reach, scale, and ambition. Depending on your role, you may collaborate with teammates, systems, and leaders across DoorDash and Wolt. Together, we’re unlocking new possibilities as one global team.
Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation and growth drive everything we do. Our Engineering teams tackle complex technical challenges across a global, three-sided marketplace, building and scaling systems that serve millions of customers, riders and partners every day.
We’re looking for a Machine Learning Engineering Manager to join us in London on a hybrid basis (3 days a week). In this role, you’ll lead the team that owns intelligence across our ordering experience, from store page and item selection through cart, upsell and checkout, plus bundling. Personalisation is one of the biggest levers we have to drive value to our customers, and your team will make the app feel less like a generic catalogue and more like one that understands what each customer is trying to do.
What you’ll be doing
Lead and develop a high-performing team of around 12 Machine Learning Engineers, distributed across multiple pods and spread across London, Finland and Berlin, fostering a culture of technical excellence, ownership and rapid experimentation.
Own and evolve the ranking, recommendation and personalisation systems across ordering surfaces, helping customers find the right items quickly as our selection grows.
Set the technical vision for the team’s ML ecosystem, balancing near-term product goals with longer-term bets on areas like on areas across recommendations to agentic approaches, and intent-aware experiences that adapt dynamically to how customers browse and act.
Lead the unification of our recommendation models across brands (Deliveroo, Wolt and DoorDash) and markets, working out how to power personalisation at global scale while keeping it feeling hyperlocal, and how to balance reusable core models against surface-specific adaptations without ending up with a sprawl of models.
Partner with Product, Data Science and neighbouring engineering teams to identify high-impact opportunities, define roadmaps and translate ambiguous business problems into ML solutions.
Provide technical guidance on modelling approaches, ML system design and production architecture, stepping in to challenge modelling decisions where needed without becoming a bottleneck.
Drive key marketplace metrics such as conversion and engagement, balancing velocity and scope against sustainable, long-term technical quality.
Stay close to the code so you understand how your team actually works, and help evolve the AI-assisted engineering practices and tooling that empower the team.
What you’ll need to thrive
Proven experience line-managing ML Engineers, ideally 6 or more direct reports, with a track record of building high-performing teams, coaching engineers through career progression and managing a horizontally distributed team across multiple pods or workstreams.
Significant experience building and deploying machine learning systems in production at scale, in areas like Recommendations, Personalisation, Search, Ranking or Information Retrieval.
Strong stakeholder management across product, engineering and business functions, with experience working across multiple teams and geographies.
A pragmatic, impact-focused mindset, prioritising outcomes and customer experience over theoretical perfection.
Why Join Us?
At Deliveroo, you’ll do work that matters—solving real-world problems in a three-sided marketplace that’s constantly evolving. We’re food lovers, problem solvers, community builders and more, brought together by a shared drive to make things better. Working here you can expect to:

Ruby Labs is a leading tech company that creates and operates innovative consumer products. We offer a diverse range of opportunities across the health, education, and entertainment industries. Our innovative teams are driving the future of consumer-led products, and we're always looking for passionate individuals to join us. Learn more about our story at: https://rubylabs.com/about-us/
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Senior User Acquisition Manager to take full ownership of paid social acquisition for one of our products. Meta, Snapchat and TikTok are key channels for our product, alongside other paid social networks. This is a senior, hands-on media buying role with end-to-end ownership. You will own the whole paid social acquisition process: strategy, account structure, bidding, budget allocation, creative testing, measurement, scaling and account health. You decide what to test, what to scale and what to cut, and you are accountable for the results. We need someone who has scaled paid social at volume, who knows how to grow in a policy-sensitive niche, and who can operate independently on large budgets.
You will manage performance against real revenue data (CPA, ROAS, payback, LTV and cohorts), not surface-level platform metrics. We also work AI-first, and we expect you to use Claude and automation to move faster.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the process end-to-end: take full ownership of paid social acquisition across TikTok, Meta, Snapchat and other paid social networks: planning, launch, optimization, scaling, reporting and documentation.
- Lead on TikTok: own and scale TikTok as the primary acquisition channel, including account structure, campaign types (including Smart+ / automated formats and Spark Ads), bidding, optimization events and creative strategy.
- Scale spend profitably while holding payback, ROAS and CPA targets based on real revenue and customer-value data.
- Build and optimize account structure, conversion events, value-based bidding and budget allocation across paid social networks.
- Decide budget allocation across TikTok, Meta, Snapchat and other paid social networks, and find new scaling levers: audiences, formats, placements, campaign types and additional networks.
- Run a structured, high-velocity creative testing process with the creative team on all networks, with clear hypotheses and kill/scale rules.
- Manage signal quality: conversion events, event value, purchase optimization and attribution.
- Operate in a policy-sensitive niche: run acquisition within each platform's rules. Keep ads compliant, handle disapprovals, appeals and restrictions, and build prevention-first processes so issues are caught before launch.
- Protect account health: manage ad account structure, backups and recovery plans.
- Work with platform reps on betas, new campaign types and escalations.
- Diagnose drops and spikes quickly and act on them.
- Document tests, learnings and playbooks, and use Claude and automation to speed up builds, QA, reporting and optimization.
QUALIFICATIONS
MUST-HAVE EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of hands-on paid social / user acquisition experience.
- Large-scale experience running paid social acquisition.
- Proven experience working in policy-sensitive niches and keeping accounts healthy while scaling.
- Strong hands-on TikTok, Meta and Snapchat Ads experience, scaling them profitably.
- Working experience across other paid social channels is a plus.
- Direct ownership of large budgets, ideally $1M+/month hands-on.
- Strong understanding of subscription / app economics: LTV, ROAS, payback windows, cohorts, high-value-user dynamics and value-based optimization.
- Deep policy and account health experience: disapprovals, appeals, restrictions, ad account bans and how to recover from and prevent them.
- Strong creative testing discipline and measurement rigor.
- Ownership mentality: you run channels end-to-end with minimal supervision and take responsibility for outcomes.
LOCATION
Ruby Labs operates within the CET (Central European Time) zone. Applicants from any country are welcome to apply for the position as long as they are located within approximately ± 4 hours of CET. This ensures optimal collaboration and communication during working hours.
BENEFITS
- Remote Work Environment: Embrace the freedom to work from anywhere, anytime, promoting a healthy work-life balance.
- Unlimited PTO: Enjoy unlimited paid time off to recharge and prioritize your well-being, without counting days.
- Paid National Holidays: Celebrate and relax on national holidays with paid time off to unwind and recharge.

We give technical teams the freedom of code with the speed of no-code, so they can automate faster, smarter, and without limits. Backed by a fiercely inventive community and 500+ builder-approved integrations, we’re changing the way people bring systems together and scale ideas for impact.
Since our founding in 2019, we’ve grown into a diverse team of over 260 - working across Europe and the US, connected by a shared builder spirit and with our centre of gravity in Berlin. Along the way, we’ve:
- Cultivated a community of more than 650,000 active developers and builders
- Earned 190K+ GitHub stars, making us one of the world’s Top 40 most popular projects
- Backed by top investors, from Sequoia’s first German seed to our SAP's recent strategic investment - bringing us to a $5.2bn valuation
That’s the company we’ve built. Now we’d love to see what you can build. If you’re applying, try n8n out - whether you’re technical or not - and share a screenshot of your first workflow with us. The easiest place to start is here: app.n8n.cloud/register http://app.n8n.cloud/register.
We’re in a defining moment of an incredible journey. Come and build with us.
🎯 YOUR MAIN GOAL WILL BE TO BUILD AND OPERATE N8N’S SHARED CONTEXT INFRASTRUCTURE — OUR “COMPANY BRAIN” — SO BOTH PEOPLE AND AI AGENTS CAN RELIABLY ACCESS ACCURATE, WELL-STRUCTURED, AND APPROPRIATELY GOVERNED KNOWLEDGE ACROSS THE COMPANY.
To make that happen, you’ll shape how our knowledge is structured, contributed, accessed, and maintained as we build the context layer powering n8n’s agentic future:
DESIGN OUR INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE
- Define the taxonomy, structure, contributor guidelines, and templates that turn fragmented company knowledge into reliable, reusable context.
- Establish standards that make knowledge easy to navigate, maintain, and use without creating duplication or another layer of content sprawl.
- Evolve these standards as our functions, knowledge sources, and agentic use cases grow.
ONBOARD & ENABLE TEAMS
- Onboard functions to the company brain and train designated champions to structure and maintain their own knowledge over time.
- Give non-technical contributors the guidance, templates, and support they need to contribute high-quality context independently.
- Partner with the Internal AI Enablement Lead to develop a shared network of champions who help scale strong knowledge practices across n8n.
OPERATE OUR CONTEXT PLATFORM
- Configure and operate ingestion from qualitative sources such as Slack, Gong, Drive, and Notion using our context platform’s tooling.
- Own day-to-day platform configuration and basic troubleshooting, escalating genuine engineering challenges to our Automation team or vendor when needed.
- Partner with IT, Security, and Legal to define requirements for how people and AI agents access sensitive company knowledge.
BUILD FOR LONG-TERM TRUST & REUSE
- Keep content structures, contributor guidelines, and knowledge freshness current as n8n and the platform evolve.
- Work with functions to ensure the company brain becomes a trusted source of context rather than another parallel knowledge repository.
- Provide product feedback to our context platform vendor and anticipate shared context patterns and capabilities that future agents will need.
REQUIREMENTS
MUST-HAVES
- 🗂️ Information architecture: You have proven experience designing structured content or knowledge programs at scale, including taxonomies, style guides, contributor guidelines, templates, or information architecture.
- 🧠 Knowledge systems experience: You’ve worked hands-on with knowledge or context systems and understand what it takes to turn fragmented qualitative information into something others can reliably use.
- ⚙️ SaaS platform fluency: You’re comfortable configuring and operating SaaS knowledge or context platforms, working with APIs and integrations, and independently troubleshooting basic issues.
- 🎓 Stakeholder enablement: You have a track record of training non-technical stakeholders and enabling them to confidently maintain high-quality content themselves over the long term.
- 🔐 Governance collaboration: You’re comfortable partnering with IT, Security, and Legal on access requirements and compliance-sensitive data flows without needing to own the underlying technical architecture.
- ✍️ Communication: You have strong written and verbal communication skills and can set a clear quality bar for how company knowledge is structured, documented, and shared.
NICE-TO-HAVES
- 🤖 Context platforms: You’re familiar with Qontext.ai http://Qontext.ai or a comparable agent-context platform.
- 🔌 MCP: You have experience with or a strong understanding of Model Context Protocol (MCP).
- 🏷️ Knowledge governance: You have a background in knowledge management, metadata, or data governance.
Why join us?
At n8n, you’ll have the opportunity to shape how an entire company’s knowledge becomes usable — not only by people, but by the AI agents increasingly working alongside them. You’ll build a capability we don’t have today and help establish the context layer that future agentic initiatives across n8n will depend on.
You’ll have real ownership over how company knowledge is structured, governed, and maintained, while working closely with teams across IT, Security, Legal, Data, and AI & Automation. You’ll also have the support of a strong technical team and vendor partner, so your focus can stay on creating a trusted, scalable knowledge system rather than building every piece of infrastructure from scratch.
As n8n grows, you’ll help turn fragmented knowledge into a shared company brain that teams can contribute to confidently and agents can depend on reliably.
Sound like a challenge you’re excited to take on?

We’re in a defining moment of an incredible journey. Come and build with us.
🎯 YOUR MAIN GOAL WILL BE TO TURN N8N’S INTERNAL AI AND AUTOMATION CAPABILITIES INTO SOMETHING EVERY FUNCTION CAN CONFIDENTLY USE, BUILD WITH, AND LEARN FROM.
To make that happen, you’ll create the programs, experiences, and foundations that help teams across n8n build their AI and automation fluency:
DRIVE HANDS-ON ENABLEMENT
- Run weekly, role-specific workshops, prioritizing less-technical functions such as Legal and Customer Support.
- Lead hands-on sessions where you build live alongside teams, helping them turn real workflows and challenges into working automations.
- Run Build Along Office Hours and Bounty Hunts that give teams regular opportunities to learn, experiment, and solve problems together.
- Help teams identify useful automation opportunities, understand the process they are changing, and decide when to reuse an existing solution, build themselves, or involve the Automation team.
OWN DOGFOODING & EXPERIMENTATION
- Own our monthly Dogfooding Day end-to-end, from planning and coordination through execution and follow-up.
- Design and run hackathons and other experimentation initiatives that encourage teams to explore new ways of working with AI and automation.
- Turn learnings and outputs from these initiatives into reusable assets that help other teams move faster.
SCALE AI FLUENCY & COMMUNITY
- Own periodic AI fluency survey cycles alongside the People team and help calibrate what fluency means across different functions.
- Build visibility around internal wins and reusable solutions so teams can learn from what others have already created.
- Identify and support champions across functions, informally leading the emerging Guild and helping automation knowledge spread across the company.
ENABLE SAFE, REUSABLE AUTOMATION
- Act as product owner for our internal “safe playground,” partnering with IT, Security, Data, and Solutions Engineering on access, credentials, environments, and requirements.
- Turn outputs from workshops and office hours into reusable templates and resources that teams can easily discover and adopt.
- Actively help teams reuse existing solutions rather than reinventing them, making automation more accessible and scalable across n8n.
- Check whether the things built are still in use four weeks later; provide evidence that teams reuse existing assets and can make routine changes without handing everything back to the Automation team.
REQUIREMENTS
MUST-HAVES
- 🛠️ Practitioner-level n8n fluency: You’ve built real, meaningful automations in n8n and are comfortable building live alongside others.
- 🎓 Technical enablement experience: You’ve run structured, recurring enablement programs such as workshops, office hours, or build-alongs.
- 🤝 Non-technical audience expertise: You have a strong track record of helping non-technical teams understand, adopt, and confidently use technical tools.
- 🏗️ Cross-functional ownership: You’re comfortable partnering with IT, Security, and Data teams to define and own requirements around access, credentials, and environments without needing to implement the infrastructure yourself.
- 🌍 CET overlap: You’re based in a time zone that gives you strong overlap with Central European working hours, within a couple of hours of Berlin.
- 💬 English fluency: You have fluent or near-native English and can communicate clearly and confidently with audiences ranging from individual contributors to senior stakeholders.
NICE-TO-HAVES
- 🌱 Champion programs: You’ve helped build or run an internal ambassador, champion, or community program.
- 📊 Fluency measurement: You have experience running capability, fluency, or adoption surveys and turning the results into actionable programs.
- 🔐 Access & governance: You’re familiar with access or governance models and have worked with stakeholders responsible for secure environments and tooling.
Why join us?
At n8n, you’ll have the opportunity to build a brand-new enablement function from the ground up and shape how AI and automation become part of everyday work across the company. You’ll have a direct line to the Head of AI & Automation, high visibility across functions, and genuine autonomy to design an enablement model rather than inherit one.
As n8n scales, you’ll become a key connector between the people building our internal automation capabilities and the teams putting them to work. You’ll help create a culture where teams don’t just learn about automation — they confidently build, experiment, share what works, and help others do the same.
You’ll join a fast-growing, remote-first company that values autonomy, experimentation, and builder culture, with the opportunity to influence how we scale AI fluency across the organization.

HEALTH CAN’T WAIT.
Not for symptoms to get worse. Not for a six‑month appointment. Not for a system to catch up. But that’s exactly how healthcare works today. You wait, until you can’t.
Alan exists to end the wait.
Health is a universal right, and we believe this right can only become real when it’s coupled with prevention. We need to stop treating health as something we repair and start treating it as something we build, every day. It’s not solely a question of willpower. It’s the healthcare system itself that needs to work for everyone, in a sustainable way.
So we are building the new standard in prevention insurance. Alan is the first company that integrates insurance, prevention, and care into a single, acclaimed user experience.
We are on an incredible journey to build a global leading company, with a unique culture https://alan.com/en/careers. We already partner with 40K+ companies of all sizes, serving more than 1M+ members, and have reached €800M+ in ARR.
Prevention as the new norm. That's what we're building with our team of 1000+ people. If it speaks to you: we're hiring across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada. And beyond.
🚀 THE CHALLENGE
- Alan is a leading European health insurer with over 1 million members across 4 countries (France, Belgium, Spain, Canada). At its core, Alan is a tech company that believes exceptional member experience is a competitive advantage: fast, empathetic, and reliable service at scale. As of Q1 2026, 40% of conversations are handled automatically.
- At the intersection of Care, Legal, Security, and Data Protection sits a set of topics that are as operationally complex as they are strategically critical: data breaches, GDPR rights requests, security incidents, legal complaints, regulatory reporting.
- We are looking for a Care Legal & Security Specialist to own these topics end-to-end: handling complex cases in close collaboration with Alan's Legal and DPO teams, building the processes and training that allow our ~300 Care agents to manage them with confidence, and identifying where AI and automation can reduce manual load. As Alan accelerates across four countries, what you build in France gets replicated in Spain, Belgium, and Canada: your work doesn't stay local.
- This is not a pure legal role, and it is not a pure ops role. You handle regulatory cases, improve the processes that prevent them from recurring, and scale what works across countries. You will be embedded within our Operational Excellence team, working in close collaboration with Care Ops and the Corporate Unit.
👨🚀 MISSIONS
1/ Operational run (60%)
- Handle complex security incidents, GDPR cases, and legal complaints escalated from Care agents, including CNIL notifications (drafted in close collaboration with Legal and DPO, within the 72-hour regulatory deadline), account takeover situations, Level 2 and Level 3 complaints, and incoming legal mail
- Manage interactions with external stakeholders (CNIL, Insurance Ombudsman, Signal Conso) with precision and within regulatory deadlines
- Own KPI monitoring and reporting for legal and security matters; organize yearly complaints reporting for Alan's Board; identify trends and escalate systemic issues to Product teams early
2/ Scalability: process, tools, and training (20%)
- Design and continuously improve workflows, escalation paths, macros, and help center content so Care agents can handle legal and security cases autonomously at L1 and L2
- Identify simplification and automation opportunities across legal and security operations, then collaborate with Care Ops and Product crews to deploy them, rather than solving each case manually
- Build and maintain training materials (case studies, Q&As, simulations), so Care Experts develop real judgment, not just process familiarity
- Ensure regulatory training completion across the team
3/ Globalization (20%)
- Translate processes, frameworks, and training materials built for France into resources that Care and Legal/Compliance teams in other countries can adopt
- Coordinate actively with counterparts in other countries to share learnings, align on best practices, and anticipate regulatory divergences
- Build shared resources so that when a new country goes live, the Care Legal & Security function isn't starting from scratch
To deliver on those missions, you will:
- Support Care Experts participating in the Legal & Security taskforce: build their judgment on complex and ambiguous cases, be the primary escalation reference for Care agents facing difficult legal or security situations
- Collaborate with the Corporate Unit Lead and Care Ops to shape the Care roadmap on legal and security topics; translate regulatory constraints into executable processes and surface operational insights that should inform policy or product decisions
⭐ YOU'LL EXCEL IN THIS ROLE IF YOU:
- Deliver reliably on high-stakes, deadline-driven cases with a real member-centric mindset
- Have at least 1-2 years of experience in one of the following: GDPR / privacy operations, legal complaints handling in a regulated sector, or compliance ops in fintech, insurtech, or health
- Communicate with precision and adapt to your audience, whether you're briefing a legal expert, aligning with a product team, or coaching a front-line agent. You get buy-in from agents and managers who didn't ask for a new process, and that's as important as designing the process itself
- Spot simplification opportunities and know how to turn them into projects: you identify what should be automated or redesigned, then drive the collaboration with Care Ops and Product to make it happen
- Are comfortable navigating regulatory frameworks (GDPR, complaint handling, CNIL) without being a lawyer; you know when to escalate and when to own it, and you're backed by Legal and DPO experts at Alan
- Are comfortable making judgment calls in ambiguous situations and moving forward without waiting for all the answers.
- Are fluent in French (C1+ written and spoken, essential for CNIL notifications, ombudsman responses, and legal correspondence) and proficient in English for internal Alan collaboration
No prior legal qualification is required but a background in law is a genuine plus. We are looking for operational rigor, strong communication, and the appetite to build something that scales.
For this opportunity, we are aiming to hire within the B-C level range.
🌍 HOW WE WORK
Location: You must be legally eligible to work from France.
Remote work: We offer remote work flexibility, but we value in-person collaboration.
🎯 IMPORTANT NOTE: WE HIRE PEOPLE, NOT ROLES.
If you're excited about this opportunity but don't check every box, we'd love to hear from you. Everyone, no matter how underrepresented, should feel free to apply, as it can only bring learnings or success.
If you identify yourself as a woman: Did you know that research shows women often apply only when meeting 100% of requirements?
Remember, this is just a guide, not a checklist. We'll be thrilled to receive your application!

⭐️ THE ROLE
You are the Canada GM's right hand. Not a support role: you own strategic initiatives end to end and are accountable for the outcome, not the slide deck.
This seat owns Strategy & Operations: the operating cadence, the operational build-out of a young insurer, and the regulatory execution that lets Alan operate province by province. You'll work daily with Canada's leadership and draw on the global Alan platform, including GM Associate peers in five countries.
🎯 YOUR MISSION
Your core missions:
- Own Canada's operating cadence. MBRs, QBRs and the Canada Weekly pulse: turn inputs from nine communities into the narrative and decisions leadership acts on.
- Build new operations from scratch. New products, processes and reporting (e.g. virtual care expansion, pipeline and quota dashboards): define, launch, hand over.
- Own insurance & regulatory execution. Provincial licensing, other filings and clinical licensing for new provinces. These are commitments to regulators, not internal deadlines.
- Build your own AI tooling. Automate your own job with agents that do real work (e.g. automate weekly reporting, hiring pipeline digests, regulatory monitoring).
- Lead through influence and clarity. Write the docs that let others decide without you (e.g. the business case for a 2nd GM Associate, summer interns, staffing BC expansion) and keep Canada and Europe aligned.
- Step in where the business needs you. Cover leaders when they're out and pick up adjacent work (e.g. running hiring loops, managing summer interns, running the Toronto office).
💪 YOU MAY BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU HAVE
- 1-4 years in consulting, banking, M&A, a high-growth startup, or as a founder.
- Strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You set direction, then build the model, fix the process and file the renewal on time.
- Exceptional written communication. You can turn a messy quarter into three paragraphs a board will act on.
- A real command of AI tools, used to extend your output, not replace your thinking. We'll ask you to show us.
- Strong organisation, time management and autonomy. You run projects start to finish with precision and little oversight.
- An entrepreneurial mindset. Comfortable with ambiguity, you take ownership beyond your remit.
- Mission-driven. You want to transform healthcare in Canada.
- Based in Toronto and in our office 5 days a week.
- As a plus: French, international team experience, or a background in scale-ups, healthcare or insurance.
Earlier in your career? Apply anyway. If you've shown real ownership (a company you started, a team you carried, work that shipped), we'd rather see your application than screen you out on a number.
🚀 WHAT THIS ROLE LEADS TO
The role is built on a minimum two-year horizon: long enough to compound real impact, and the springboard to leading a community or function. You'll have a buddy and a coach from day one.
🙌 PERKS & BENEFITS
- Competitive salary + equity - B0-C1, ($96-140k CAD) see the salary & equity grid https://alan.com/en/careers/a/salary-equity.
- Monthly TTC pass, and a generous employer matching program for your RRSP.
- Excellent health coverage through Alan's own app.
- Office at King & Yonge in the financial district, with free lunch.
- Flexible leave, no pre-approval needed.
- Personal growth through coaching. Every Alaner has a dedicated coach from day one. Read about our coaching culture https://alan.com/en/blog/discover-alan/a/alan-culture-excellence-through-coaching.
